supplication1

O Allah! By Your Knowledge of the unseen and by Your Power over creation, let me live if You know that life is good for me, and let me die if You know that death is good for me. O Allah! I ask You to grant me (the blessing of having) fear of You in private and public; and I ask you (to make me utter) a statement of truth in times of contentment and anger; and I ask You for moderation (i.e. neither miserly nor extravagant) when in a state of wealth and poverty; and I ask you for blessings that never ceases; and I ask You for the coolness of my eye (i.e. finding pleasure in obedience to You, love of You etc) that never ends. I ask You (to make me pleased) after (Your) decree and I ask You for a life of (ease, comfort, tranquillity etc) after death. I ask You for the delight of looking at Your Face (i.e. in the Hereafter) and the joy of meeting You without any harm and misleading trials (coming upon me). O Allah! Adorn us with the adornment of Eemaan, and make us (from those who are) guided and guiding (others). Blameworthy Envy – Shaykh Al Uthaymeen

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

(Blameworthy) Envy: It is said that (envy is when a person) wishes that the blessings of Allah (bestowed) on other him should cease. And it is (also) said that it is to dislike the blessings of Allah (bestowed) on other than him, and this second (saying) is the definition (given by) shaykh ul islaam ibn Taymiyyah (Rahimahullah).

He said: whoever dislikes the blessings of Allah (bestowed) on other than him, then he has envied him, regardless whether he desires that it ceases or not. And what he said is the most correct, due to the statement of the prophet (Sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam):

“One of you does not truly believe until he loves for his brother that which he loves for himself”.

Therefore, how can you dislike for your brother that Allaah has favoured him with knowledge, or wealth, or status, or children or other than that, whilst you do not dislike that for yourself?! This is envy, so it is obligated on you to avoid this.

Reminder: Abu Hurairah and His Mother – An Amazing Narration That Bring Tears to The Eyes!

abu

Abu Huraira reported: I invited my mother, who was a polytheist, to Islam. I invited her one day and she said to me something about Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) which I hated. I came to Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) weeping and said: Allaah’s Messenger, I invited my mother to Islam but she did not accept (my invitation). I invited her today but she said to me something which I did not like. (Kindly) supplicate Allaah that He may set the mother of Abu Huraira right. Thereupon Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: O Allaah, set the mother of Abu Huraira on the right path. I came out quite pleased with the supplication of Allaah’s Prophet (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) and when I came near the door it was closed from within. My mother heard the noise of my footsteps and she said: Abu Huraira, just wait, and I heard the noise of falling of water. She took a bath and put on the shirt and quickly covered her head with a headdress and opened the door and then said: Abu Huraira, I bear witness to the fact that there is none worthy of worship (in truth) but Allaah and Muhammad is His bondsman and His Messenger. He (Abu Huraira) said: I went back to Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) and (this time) I was shedding the tears of joy. I said: Allaah’s Messenger, be happy, for Allaah has responded to your supplication and He has set on the right path the mother of Abu Huraira. He (the Prophet) praised Allaah, and extolled Him and uttered good words. I said: Allaah’s Messenger, supplicate to Allaah so that He may instil love of mine and that of my mother too in the believing servants and let our hearts be filled with their love, whereupon Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: O Allaah, let there be love of these servants of yours, i. e. Abu Huraira and his mother, in the hearts of the believing servants and let their hearts be filled with the love of the believing servants. (Abu Huraira said: This prayer) was so well granted by Allaah that no believer was ever born who heard of me and who saw me but did not love me. [Sahih Muslim 2491]

Using Forged Twitter Identities to Troll and Attack Students of Knowledge and The Salafi Maraakiz

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

لِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ وَارِث وَلِكُلِّ أَرْضٍ حَارِث وَلِكُلِّ ضَرٍّ هَالِك

“Every people have their inheritors, every earth has a cultivator and every evil has one destroyed by it.”

Indeed, using forged internet identities was a path adopted by some of those who defended Jamiat ahle Hadeeth, Suhaib Hasan, Al-Maribi and other deviants until they were exposed by Ustaadh Amjad Rafiq (may Allaah preserve him). Recently, we are witnessing the re-emergence of this path – but this time on twitter- amongst some of those who claim that they are enjoining good and forbidding evil, whilst trolling with hidden or forged twitter identities to attack Salafi students of knowledge and the Maraakiz. Therefore, we remind them of a statement of Shaikh Rabee (may Allaah preserve him) as follows:

By Allah no one hides his [real] name except a person of evil.  Astaghfirullah! Astaghfirullah! Why are you hiding your [real] name?! If you have the truth with you then announce your name, if you have falsehood with you then fear Allah! Don’t speak! There is no reason to hide your [real] name, no reason whatsoever, this is something unknown with the Salaf…” http://www.salafitalk.net/st/printthread.cfm?Forum=9&Topic=5498

Among The Best Ways to Help You Memorize and Retain What You Have Learnt – A Beneficial Reminder by Shaikh Abdullaah Al-Bukhaari (may Allaah preserve him)

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

[1] Distancing oneself from sins…

It has been reported in Rawdatul Uqalaa and Hilya that Ibn Mas’ood (radiyallaahu-anhu said, ‘’Indeed I reckon that a man forgets knowledge he learnt due to a sin he committed…..

[2] Acting upon what you have learnt…. as Imaam Wakee (rahimahullaah) stated that they used to seek strengthened their memorization of Hadeeth by acting upon what they learnt…etc

[3] Do not memorise haphazardly and make yourself tired…. rather memorise little by little in order to progress in stages. Memorize what you are able – one ayah or two, or one line or two lines. Do not go beyond what you are not able to do because you will be afflicted with boredom, and when afflicted with boredom you will abandon it…..

[4] Repetition…. repeat what you have learnt or memorised, as Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahullaah) said that repetition is the training (or preparation) in every affair….

The legs are strengthened through a lot of walking, so likewise the mind is strengthened with a lot of repetition and memorization and Allaah loves that a servant turns to Him-asking Him for aid and assistance, guidance etc
