Hadeeth:

“You should perform the Night Prayer, for indeed it is the (continuous) practice of the righteous (people) who were before you; it draws (you) close to your Lord, expiates evil deeds and stops (you) from sins.

Is Lying Permissible in Da’wa – Shaykh Fawzaan

Question to Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (hafidha-hullaah):

Is lying permissible in calling to Allaah? And is ‘the goal justifies the means’ a maslahah (benefit) from the masaalih (beneficial affairs) of the Sharee’ah?

Answer:

Lying is not permissible. It is a major sin from the major sins. It (lying) is not permissible except in three affairs which the prophet made an exception; lying during war, because war is deceit; lying in order to bring about peace between the people; and lying between married couples in order to bring about rectification to the family with regards to the relationship between (husband and the wife). These three affairs are that of maslahah, and in them is a greater good than evil; so (lying) is permissible (in this case).

As for calling to Allaah, it has no need for lies. It is not permissible to utilize lies in calling to Allaah. Calling to Allaah is to (be carried out) by way of truth, the Book, the sunnah, fine admonition and arguing in a way that is better and not by way of lies.

A Reminder to Those Who Adopt This Particular Path of Ihyaa Turaath’s Mentor, In Order To Harm SP and Other Salafiyyoon In The West!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Shaikh Rabee (may Allaah preserve him) stated:

Indeed, from the most severe of afflictions and trials upon Islaam and the Muslims in this era, is the appearance of a group claiming to be upon the methodology of Ahlus Sunnah Wal-Jamaa-ah, but unfortunately this group does not act except in opposition to this manhaj and its people; openly at times and behind veils at other times.

And indeed this group has placed a heavy burden upon its shoulders, and that is its defence of the people of innovation and misguidance.   They author books in this regard and decorate statements for it; and they spread such defence in the world under the slogan of justice and equity or the manhaj of Muwaazanaat. They exceed the limits in the affair of Fiqul Waaqi (knowledge of current affairs) and speak ill of the scholars of the salafi methodology as a result of that; rather they degrade the methodology of the scholars as a
result of this and increase in ill speech against the salafi methodology and its people. The effects of the path of justice and equity are neither seen in their arguments against the people of the Salafi methodology nor in their praises and exaltations for the people of innovation.

Alongside concealing themselves with the Salafi Methodology, they are not seen to give it importance except with respect to what they utilize to deceive those deceived by them, or (what they utilize as) garments of salafiyyah in order to bring the people to their corrupt hizbi organization to kill off their love for the Salafi Methodology, the call to it, defence of it, traversing in it upon the methodology of the pious predecessors with the (correct) walaa wal baraa and being warned against the people of innovation; so they divert a great deal of people from the true methodology and the truthful alliance for it; and (direct them) towards that passionate alliance to the people of innovation and in defence of them, their innovations and falsehoods; or playing down their innovations to the extent that it leads them to the station of the extreme murji’ah with regards to their views towards the major innovations and greats affairs of opposition to the true religion of Allaah.

And due to this, hatred has occurred from them towards the carriers of the Sunnah and the salafi methodology; and they set up those who present their mistakes which have neither been criticized by a sunni nor a bid’ee from amongst those who ascribe themselves to Islaam.  They present these mistakes as mighty affairs of blunder and destruction, rather they make the virtues and merits of ahlus sunnah to be repugnant and disdainful in addition to much fabrication and accusation.

So with these disgraceful deeds they perpetrate, they are from the severest in war against the salafi methodology and its people; the severest in their opposition to the salafi methodology and its people; the most intense in their defence of the groups of innovation and fitan, their claims and methodologies.  They have authorships in this regard and from them: The many authorships of Shaikh Abdur-Rahmaan Abdul Khaaliq who carries the responsibility of this destructive orientation. Fajr Is Still Very Early! -[Fiqh Derived From a Hadeeth About Using An (Alarm) Clock to Help Us Wake Up etc]

It is reported in a hadeeth in Muwatta Imaam Maalik that the Messenger (sallal laahu alayhi wasallam) travelled by night on the way back from khaybar and towards the end of the night he stopped for a rest and said to Bilaal (radiyallaahu-anhu), “(Stay awake) to watch out for the morning (prayer) for us…..’’ [Ref 1]

Shaikh Muhammad Baazmool  (may Allaah preserve him) said, “What is the evidence behind the permissibility for a person -before he (or she) sleeps- to watch out for the time by way of (an alarm) clock in order to be notified of (the time of the Salaah)? The evidence is that the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) sought from Bilaal (radiyallaahu-anhu) to guard the time for them, saying,”(Stay awake) to watch out for the morning (prayer) for us”. [Ref 2]

A Hadeeth Regarding the Grave Danger of Passing Judgements Based On Ignorance or Desires

Buraydah narrated from his father, who narrated that the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said:

”Judges are of three types, one of whom will go to Paradise and two to Hell. A man who knows the truth and judges with it will enter paradise; a man who knows the truth but judges with the opposite of it will enter the fire, and a man who judges for the people based on ignorance will enter the fire.’’

[THis Hadeeth was reported by Imaam Abu Dawud (rahimahullaah)- Hadeeth Number 3573- & Imaam Albaani (rahimahullaah) declared it to be Saheeh (authentic) in his checking of Sunan Abee Dawood’ page 541. Publisher: Maktaba Al-Ma’aarif, 1st Edition, ISBN Number: 4112932]

A Command to Perform the Salaah and Spend in Charity, Before The Day In Which There Will Neither Be Mutual Bargaining Nor Befriending!

Allaah (The Most High) said:

قُلْ لِعِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَيُنْفِقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ سِرًّا وَعَلَانِيَةً مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ يَوْمٌ لَا بَيْعٌ فِيهِ وَلَا خِلَالٌ

Say (O Muhammad) to ‘Ibadi (My slaves) who have believed, that they should perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and spend in charity out of the sustenance We have given them, secretly and openly, before the coming of a Day on which there will be neither mutual bargaining nor befriending.” [Soorah Ibraaheem: Ayah 31]

That is: Say to My believing slaves whilst commanding them with that which contains the greatest (affair of) well-being for them, that they should seize this opportunity lest they are no longer able to get hold of it; [يُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ  – That they should perform the prayer] outwardly (i.e. with all its pillars, obligations etc… as taught by the Messenger) and inwardly (i.e. with awareness, concentration, humility, tranquillity in their hearts etc.)

[وَيُنْفِقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ – And spend in charity out of the sustenance We have given them]; That is: From the blessings I have bestowed upon them, whether it is a lot or little. [سِرًّا وَعَلَانِيَةً – Secretly and openly]- this includes obligatory spending such as Zakah, (also) the spending that is obligatory upon a person and recommended spending, such as optional charity and what is similar to it.

[مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ يَوْمٌ لَا بَيْعٌ فِيهِ وَلَا خِلَالٌ – Before the coming of a Day on which there will be neither mutual bargaining nor befriending]; That is: (A Day on which) nothing will benefit a person nor will there be any means to reaching what has elapsed – neither through buying nor selling, and neither through an intimate friend nor a friend because every person will be sufficed with his own affairs.

Therefore, a slave (i.e. servant of Allaah) should send forth (good deeds) for himself and look to what he has sent forth for the morrow. He should examine his deeds and take himself to account before the great Reckoning (i.e. Day of Judgement).

One of The Reasons Why the Believers Give Precedence to The Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) Over Everyone Else Amongst Mankind and Jinn

Allaah (The Most High) said:

“النَّبِيُّ أَوْلَىٰ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ

The Prophet is more worthy of the believers than themselves. [Al-Ahzaab. Ayah:6]

Summarised benefits:

The closest thing a person possesses and the most important thing he has is him (or herself). However, the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) is more worthy of person than him (or herself). That is because the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) gave them (i.e. the creation) sincere advise, and showed them affection and compassion. There is none who shows the most mercy and compassion to the creation except that the Messenger is the greatest favour amongst the creation to the people than everyone else. That is because neither an atom’s weight of good has reached them nor an atom’s weight of evil is repelled from them, except through him (i.e. due to the message he conveyed to them from Allaah). And for this reason it is obligated on them that when the desires of their souls are in opposition to what the Messenger wants (from them), they should give precedence to what the Messenger wants (from them). They should not oppose the statement of the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) with the statement of anyone else-regardless who that person may be-and they are to sacrifice themselves, their wealth and offspring in giving precedence to loving the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wsallam) over the entire creation. They are not to say anything (i.e. in the religion) until he says so, nor do they put themselves forward before him.
