Reflections on some statements of Al-Allamah Rabee Bin Hadi Al-Madkhali [48 of 80]

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

The books of the pious predecessors are present, from the early period up to this present day of yours. There exists numerous books. By Allah, your time is insufficient to thoroughly engage with all these works and these paths to the different sciences.

O my brothers! Do not squander your time on the books of misguidance, neither defend falsehood nor the proponents of Bidah.

Reflections on some statements of Al-Allamah Rabee Bin Hadi Al-Madkhali [47 of 80]

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Our religion is comprehensive and complete, leaving no aspect of life without Allah’s ruling on it and a stance. Whoever abandons something from it after the truth has been made clear to him, then indeed his destination is towards destruction.

Also, if he turns away from the truth while being capable of distinguishing between right and wrong, and chooses to reject the truth or neglect the pursuit of it, then indeed, by Allah, he is on a path towards ruin. Many people pretend to be oblivious and feign ignorance, while the truth is readily accessible to him.

However, various obstacles prevents them, such as personal desires, arrogance, blind following, (Footnote a) and numerous other factors. The truth is readily accessible and in front of his eyes, yet he may choose to  prevent himself, close his eyes, and turns away from the truth. This is also one who deviates from the truth, and his destination is towards destruction; and Allah’s refuge is sought. [Al-Makh’raj Min Al-Fitan 23-24]

Historical theft: a brief dialogue with Jonathan Lieberman – Opinion

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah, The Exalted, said:

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah; even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allah is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you may avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do. [An-Nisaa. 135]

Jonathan Lieberman stated in the above article: Antisemitism has survived for millennia by adapting to the prevailing ideologies of the time. It has now adapted once again – morphing into historical theft. [end of quote]

Comment: Indeed, various forms of oppression such as antisemitism, tribalism, clanism, illegal partisanship, and nationalism have persisted for many centuries. Each time a Messenger was sent—among the 313 who came—they encountered resistance, and their followers faced persecution. From Nuh to Muhammad, every Messenger endured challenges stemming from the moral decay of their societies, which felt threatened by the superior virtue and guidance the Messengers presented. This resistance was often spearheaded by the elite. [Footnote a]

Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, confronted the pagans and those among the People of the Book who strayed from the teachings of Musa and Isa over 1400 years ago. Before him, Isa also encountered hostility from many Jews who rejected his message. Even today, a significant number of Jews continue to disbelieve in Isa, despite the fact that he was sent to guide them. Allah said:

And (remember) when Jesus, son of Mary, said: ‘O Children of Israel, I am the Messenger of Allāh to you, confirming what came before me of the Torah and giving good tidings of a Messenger to come after me whose name is Aḥmad.’ But when he (the prophesied messenger, Muḥammad) came to them (the Jews) with clear evidences, they said: ‘This is plain magic.’ https://www.thenoblequran.com/q/#/search/61_6

Similarly, modern ideologies such as communism, fascism, Zionism and the contemporary kharijites, such as ISIS, Boko Haram and others, have all been associated with their own forms of injustice and brutality. This indicates that the issue extends beyond just antisemitism; it reflects humanity’s tendency to stray into various misguided beliefs since the time of the Messengers.

Jonathan stated: In 2021, David Baddiel, a British Jewish comedian, screenwriter, and author, wrote a brilliant, incisive, and incredibly revealing book titled Jews Don’t Count. In it, Baddiel argues that Jews are treated differently from all other minorities, perceived as “too white” to warrant the same consideration as other victims of racism. [end of quote]

Comment: Anyone who claims that this religious group is too white, too black, or any other color, and suggests that their rights are insignificant, is making one of the most despicable and offensive statements possible. In truth, our Lord has instructed us to worship Him alone and to follow His final messenger, but He has also commanded us to treat one another with fairness and justice. Allah said:

Worship Allah and join none with Him in worship, and do good to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, Al-Masakin (the poor), the neighbour who is near of kin, the neighbour who is a stranger, the companion by your side, the wayfarer (you meet), and those (slaves) whom your right hands possess. Verily, Allah does not like such as are proud and boastful; those who are miserly and enjoin miserliness on other men and hide what Allah has bestowed upon them of His Bounties. And We have prepared for the disbelievers a disgraceful torment. [An-Nisa 36-37]

Allah said:

O mankind, We have created you from a male (Ādam) and female (Eve) (making you all of equal lineage) and We made you into nations and tribes that you may know one another (and fulfil each other’s rights). Verily, the most honourable of you with Allāh is the most pious of you (and not the noblest in lineage or most affluent) (so do not be boastful and belittle others). Indeed, Allāh is all-Knowing, all-Aware.

Allah said:

And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and colours. Verily, in that are indeed signs for men of sound knowledge. https://www.thenoblequran.com/q/#/search/30_22

Jonathan stated: He posits that antisemitism is a “second-class racism,” one that is tolerated or even ignored by those who claim to fight against bigotry in all its forms. When I first read the book – prior to the seismic events of the past sixteen months – I felt it should be required reading for everyone. It explains, with remarkable clarity, the modern phenomenon of Jew-hatred, which persists even in supposedly progressive circles. For a more nuanced and historically expansive exploration of the topic, one need only turn to the writings of the late, great Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks zt”l. [end of quote]

Comment: This requires concrete evidence as the primary step. Additionally, it is essential to have a precise and unequivocal definition of antisemitism to prevent any exaggeration, sensationalism, or attempts to suppress discussions about the actions of certain Zionists towards Palestinians while invoking the antisemitism argument. Once these issues are clarified, differentiated, and articulated, it becomes evident that anyone who treats antisemitism as a lesser form of racism or trivializes it is genuinely guilty of selectivism in a context that deserves unequivocal condemnation.

Jonathan stated: Rabbi Sacks wrote extensively about the mutation of antisemitism across history. First, they hated us because of our God. [end of quote]

Comment: Racism, whether modern or ancient, is a profound injustice that affects individuals of all faiths, including Jews, Muslims, Christians, and others. While there is a clear understanding of this issue, it is essential to recognize the nuances involved. Each allegation of antisemitism warrants a careful examination to differentiate it from legitimate critiques of Zionism. Failing to do so can inadvertently enable Zionists to commit acts of violence while cloaking themselves in the guise of victimhood. The animosity towards those who follow the teachings of the prophets is not exclusive to Jews; indeed, all prophets and their followers have encountered resistance. Historically, many Jews rejected the messages of Jesus and Muhammad, even allying with pagan Arabs against Muhammad. This is a well-documented fact. In earlier times, when the Children of Israel adhered to their prophets’ teachings, the hostility they faced stemmed from their unwavering faith, as highlighted in the verse:

وَجَعَلْنَا مِنْهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا لَمَّا صَبَرُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يُوقِنُونَ

And We made from among them (Children of Israel), leaders, giving guidance under Our Command, when they were patient and used to believe with certainty in Our Signs. https://www.thenoblequran.com/q/#/search/32_24

Thus, the broader assertion about being persecuted for our faith must be understood in context, as Allah does not alter the state of a people until they first change what is within themselves. Read:

Antisemitism since biblical times!!!

Jonathan stated that Rabbi Sacks stated: Then they hated us because we “killed their God.” Then they hated us because we were different. Then they hated us because we tried to be the same. Next, they reviled us as a subhuman race without a home of our own – culminating in the Holocaust. [end of quote]

Comment: The ancient Jews and Romans did not take the life of the Noble Prophet Isa, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. Even if that did occur, which is not true, it would be unjust to hold modern Jews accountable for actions that occurred long ago. Therefore, we must clarify to Jonathan that neither Jews nor Romans can be held responsible for something that did not occur. Furthermore, neither is Isa a deity nor the son of Allah. Allah said:

Surely, they have disbelieved who say: “Allah is the Messiah [‘Iesa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary).” But the Messiah [‘Iesa (Jesus)] said: “O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.” Verily, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers) there are no helpers. Surely, disbelievers are those who said: “Allah is the third of the three (in a Trinity).” But there is no ilah (god) (none who has the right to be worshipped) but One Ilah (God -Allah). And if they cease not from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall the disbelievers among them. [Al-Ma’idah 72-73]

Allah said:

And because of their saying (in boast), “We killed Messiah ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allah,” – but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of ‘Iesa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not [i.e. ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)]:But Allah raised him [‘Iesa (Jesus)] up (with his body and soul) unto Himself (and he is in the heavens). And Allah is Ever All-Powerful, All-Wise. [An-Nisa. 157-158]

However, those ancient Jews were guilty of plotting to murder him as well as disbelieving in him. [Footnote b]

The assertion of being disliked for one’s differences warrants a deeper examination based on the context of the situation. If being hated stems from inherent characteristics like skin color, then we have already condemned such abhorrent behavior. However, if the animosity arises from actions that harmed others, it cannot be entirely classified as unjustified hatred unless those who express it have crossed ethical lines in their responses. On the other hand, if the disdain is directed at individuals attempting to conform to societal norms, this reflects a historical pattern where some nations have pushed for assimilation while simultaneously harboring distrust, often rooted in unfounded fears. The conflict between Christians and Jews, for instance, can be traced back to the rejection of Jesus by many Jews, compounded by the false narrative that they were responsible for his death. Furthermore, the dehumanization of certain groups is a grave injustice, yet it is disheartening to see some within your own community refer to Palestinians as less than human, which has contributed to the tragic events in Gaza. Both the Holocaust and the genocide in Gaza deserve unequivocal condemnation. [Footnote c]

Jonathan stated: And now, in a perverse historical irony, they hate us because we do have a home of our own, and because we dare to defend it. [end of quote]

Comment: This is yet another assertion that requires further explanation. Was this home originally yours? When did you first move in, and what has your conduct been like? The story of the Bani Israel who first settled in Palestine is widely recognized, along with the conflicts that arose between them and others, in contrast to those who were assisted by Christian Zionists in the appropriation of Palestinian land. You are not protecting a territory; instead, you are seizing land, uprooting its rightful inhabitants, and perpetrating acts of genocide. The disciples of Yusha bin Nun and Musa did not engage in such atrocities, which means that Zionism cannot be associated with the teachings of any of the Prophets of Bani Israel. [Footnote d]

Jonathan stated: The latest mutation: Historical theft

Now, a new mutation of antisemitism has emerged – one that builds on Baddiel’s observation that “Jews don’t count” and which has reached an even more malignant level: historical theft.

This involves the deliberate alteration of history to erase Jews from their own narrative. It facilitates the grotesque inversion that we are “Johnny-come-latelies,” colonial usurpers attempting to displace an indigenous people.

This phenomenon is not new. It began decades ago with the Palestinians manufacturing their own “ancient” peoplehood while simultaneously denying ours. [end of quote]

Comment: The statement that Jews don’t count is an overstatement; in reality, every individual holds value and deserves rights granted by their creator, regardless of whether they are believers or disbelievers in Allah or the seal of the Prophets, Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. The notion of erasing Jews from their own history is also an exaggeration. A fair-minded perspective would emphasize that claims made by all groups, including Jews, should be backed by evidence. The situation of Jews in Palestine has been previously addressed in detail. This is an undeniable fact. Accusations of being colonial usurpers are evident in actions such as the eviction of Palestinians and the appropriation of their land, alongside the reality that you are not the original inhabitants of Palestine. It is also a historical fact that Bani Israel entered Palestine during the time of Yusha and established a presence there, but they were not the first inhabitants. While the entry of Bani Israel in ancient times is acknowledged, the real concern lies with Zionism and its narrative of ethnic cleansing. [Footnote e]

https://abuiyaad.com/a/slaughtering-children-holy-war/print
https://www.abuiyaad.com/a/pharoah-slaughtering-babies

Jonathan stated: With the help of the unashamedly anti-Israel, antisemitic, corrupt, and morally bankrupt United Nations, the biblical and historical reality of Jewish existence in the Land of Israel for over 3,000 years has been steadily eroded. The world, largely ignorant and disinterested, has been conditioned to accept fiction as fact. However, last week, this historical theft stooped to a level that even the most cynical, world-weary Jew could scarcely have believed. [end of quote]

Comment: This same United Nations, often criticized as an anti-Israel, antisemitic, and morally compromised entity, was once under the influence of colonialist Christian Zionists. This organization facilitated the transfer of Palestinian lands and security into the hands of Zionists, who, at that time, were unabashedly anti-Palestinian and equally corrupt. [Footnote f] When their actions aligned with your desires, they were hailed as paragons of virtue; yet, when they challenge your inflated assertions, they suddenly become morally bankrupt. While your presence in Palestine since the era of Yusha Bin Nun, peace be upon him, is undeniable, it is crucial to recognize that you are not the original inhabitants of this land. Regardless of how long you may have resided there, historical evidence confirms that others occupied it before you. Thus, the truth remains unassailable: you are not the first to call Palestine home. The global community is neither ignorant nor indifferent, and it will not accept fabrications as reality. Such claims merely reflect a tendency towards psychological projection, as it is you who seek to impose your narrative and persuade others to accept your distorted truths. Any historical grievances you perceive will be scrutinized through the lens of factual evidence. Let us engage with reality and not be sidetracked by distractions.

Jonathan stated: The Auschwitz erasure

On Good Morning Britain, the flagship morning TV program of ITV – one of the UK’s largest broadcasting networks – a shocking act of historical revisionism unfolded.

During a segment on the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, attended by King Charles, presenter Ranvir Singh stated: “Six million people were killed in concentration camps during the Second World War, as well as millions of others because they were Polish, disabled, gay, or belonged to another ethnic group.” Six million people. Not six million Jews. Understandably, the Jewish community in Britain reacted with outrage. Complaints were lodged with Ofcom, the broadcasting regulator, prompting ITV to issue a mealy-mouthed apology: “In yesterday’s news, when we reported on the memorial events in Auschwitz, we said six million people were killed in the Holocaust, but crucially failed to say they were Jewish. That was our mistake, for which we apologize.”A mistake? The Cambridge Dictionary defines a mistake as “an action or decision that is wrong or produces a result that is not correct or not intended.” But was it really unintended? The deliberate erasure of Jewish suffering. I, for one, refuse to believe that any educated person in the Western world can simply “forget” to mention Jews in the context of the Holocaust and Auschwitz. This was no mistake. It was a calculated, deliberate attempt to airbrush Jews out of the most horrendous, heinous crime in history – because acknowledging Jewish victimhood no longer suits the fashionable narrative of Jews as oppressors, Nazis, and genocidal murderers. In this twisted ideology, Jews cannot be victims – because we are, supposedly, the oppressors. This is the latest insidious and dangerous form of antisemitism, perpetrated by the very societies that claim to champion tolerance and human rights. After a brief lull in antisemitism following World War II, Western societies have reverted to type, incubating this new malign mutation – historical theft – and disseminating it through social media, mainstream broadcasting, and to any receptive audience willing to listen. And, unfortunately, there are plenty of willing takers.

What can be done? There is no simple solution to this deeply embedded problem, but the fight must begin with education. David Baddiel’s book, Jews Don’t Count, should be mandatory reading for anyone who wishes to comment on antisemitism. The late Rabbi Lord Sacks’ works should be studied as essential historical and philosophical texts. But beyond books, we need immersive education – visits to Holocaust museums, discussions with survivors, and a relentless commitment to historical truth. Every journalist, presenter, and producer involved in the Good Morning Britain segment should be required to take a tour of the National Holocaust Museum, or its equivalent in their respective countries. They should be forced to confront the reality they so casually erased. I volunteer to be their tour guide. The broader implications of historical theft. This issue is not merely a Jewish problem – it is a societal one. The distortion of history is a precursor to more significant dangers. If historical truth can be manipulated so easily, then any group, at any time, can be vilified, marginalized, or erased. We have seen this pattern before. It starts with the Jews, but it never ends with the Jews. Those who engage in this intellectual vandalism – whether in the media, academia, or politics – must be called out and held accountable. No longer can we accept weak, insincere apologies after the damage has been done. No longer can we allow our history to be rewritten before our very eyes. Antisemitism has survived for millennia by adapting to the prevailing ideologies of the time. It has now adapted once again – morphing into historical theft, a denial not only of Jewish suffering but of Jewish existence itself. If we do not fight back with the full force of truth and education, this erasure will continue unchecked. And history has shown us, time and time again, that when antisemitism is allowed to flourish, the world suffers alongside us. [end of quote]

Comment: The intricacies surrounding Auschwitz and the tragic loss of Jewish lives remain a subject for historians to explore and condemn. [Footnote g] Nevertheless, as previously articulated in our previous articles, the act of taking even one innocent life—regardless of their identity—is profoundly significant in the Sight of Allah. Thus, whether the assertions made are accurate or erroneous, and irrespective of how one defines a mistake, it suffices to acknowledge that the murder of a single innocent individual constitutes a serious transgression. Those who perpetrate genocide, be they Nazis, Jews, Christians, Zionists, Hindus or Muslims, are reminded of this truth through the following link: https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2024/12/16/the-virtue-of-saving-a-life/

In addition, there are reports that certain groups have endured genocides of a magnitude surpassing that of the Jewish people, particularly in reference to the atrocities committed under King Leopold of Belgium, which reportedly led to the death of 10 million Africans. While this assertion may be contested by some, we reiterate that the loss of even a single innocent life, devoid of just cause, is a profound tragedy in the Sight of Allah. It is imperative that we eradicate antisemitism with the same vigor as we confront the brutality, theft, propaganda, and impunity associated with Zionism. Our response must be a robust commitment to truth and education, aimed at dismantling both antisemitism and the violence perpetrated by Zionist forces. History has consistently demonstrated that when oppression is permitted to thrive, the entire world bears the consequences, as evidenced by the suffering of countless Muslims who have witnessed the slaughter of their brothers and sisters at the hands of Zionists for over seven decades. Furthermore, we unequivocally denounce any Muslim factions that resort to the murder of innocent, non-combatant, or unarmed civilians, whether in Palestine or beyond. We invite you to listen to Prince Turki Al-Faisal for further insights.

Reflections on some statements of Al-Allamah Rabee Bin Hadi Al-Madkhali [46 of 80]

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Al Allaamah Rabee Bin Hadi Al-Madkhali, may Allah preserve him, said:

Loyalty to and enmity against specific individuals, similar to the manner in which the Rawafid (Shiites) exhibit false loyalty to specific members of the Prophet’s family: Shaikh Al-Islam, may Allah have mercy on him, stated in “Minhaj al-Sunnah” (133/5):

“The Rāfidah have adopted a divisive approach regarding the companions of the Messenger, showing loyalty to some while excessively praising them, and harbouring animosity towards others while being extreme in their animosity”.

Many individuals adopt a similar stance towards their leaders, kings, scholars, and elders, resulting in rejecting one another for others besides the companions. You find a proponent of illegal partisanship showing loyalty to so and so, and to those who love him, while showing enmity to so and so, and to those who love him based on other than truth (or without a justified Shariah reason). This is entirely from that splitting and affiliation that Allah and His Messenger have prohibited, as He, the Exalted, stated:

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا شِيَعًا لَسْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِي شَيْء

Verily, those who divide their religion and break up into sects (all kinds of religious sects), you (O Muhammad) have no concern in them in the least.

Europe was intent on dismantling the Ottoman Empire and employed various means to achieve this goal, including inciting sectarian and religious strife, as well as instigating internal revolutions through both material and moral support. Greece had long been a part of the Islamic world, where the call to prayer resonated in its cities and countryside for centuries, governed by Islamic law. This situation was unacceptable to Christian leaders, both from Greece and other European nations. Consequently, they began to establish secret societies within Greece, Russia, and elsewhere, aimed at reviving the ancient Byzantine Empire under the administration of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate in Istanbul. Many patriarchs, priests, and religious figures became active members of these clandestine organizations opposing the Ottoman state. Clergy utilized their influence over the populace to incite rebellion against the Ottoman Empire, maintaining close ties with European leaders, particularly those in Russia. Historical documents reveal significant evidence of this collaboration aimed at coordinating efforts to dismantle the Ottoman state and undermine its people and institutions.

Here is a text of a message from Patriarch Gregorius Rios to the Tsar of Russia, outlining how to dismantle the Ottoman Empire from within:

“It is impossible to crush and destroy the Ottoman Turks through military confrontation, as they are highly revolutionary, resilient, and self-assured. Their evident pride stems from their deep connection to their faith, acceptance of divine will, and strong adherence to their beliefs. Additionally, their strength is derived from their rich heritage, history, loyalty to their sultans and leaders, and respect for their elders. The Ottoman Turks are intelligent, diligent, and responsive to their leaders who guide them along a positive and constructive path, which transforms them into a formidable force that inspires fear. They are characterized by their contentment, determination, resilience, and steadfastness in the face of challenges. The numerous advantages and heroic qualities of the Ottoman Turks stem from their strong adherence to their faith, their connection to their customs and traditions, and their robust moral character.

Therefore: Firstly, it is essential to undermine their sense of loyalty towards their Sultan and leaders, as well as to diminish their morale and religious bonds. The most effective way to achieve this is by encouraging them to coexist with foreign ideas and behavious that are incompatible with their national and moral heritage.

Secondly, it is crucial to entice the Ottoman Turks to accept external assistance, even if this leads to a dependency on such aid. This dependency may initially be resisted due to their sense of pride and apparent strength, but it is only sustainable for a limited time. On the day their morale falters, their self-capabilities will also wane. It is this morale and these connections that propel them toward victory, in addition to their other abilities and numerical strength, which may appear more formidable in form than they are in reality regarding control, governance, and their presence in the international community. Moreover, they can be undermined and destroyed by elevating the significance and value of material matters in their perceptions and minds—essentially corrupting them through material temptations. It is not sufficient to achieve victories over them solely in the realm of military conflict; rather, the opposite is true. If one solely pursues the path of war to dismantle the Ottoman state, it may serve as a catalyst for their awareness, swiftly awakening them to the reality of the plans being devised against them and their homeland, which involve destruction and ruin. What we must do is to complete these disruptions in their intrinsic, social, and international standing without them being aware of it”.

Patriarch Gregorios of Istanbul was an active member in the service of the society, utilizing all his staff and influence to carry out the directives of the secret society that aimed to establish a Greater Greece. The steps taken by the society were as follows:

1. Establishing secret associations throughout the Ottoman Empire and registering wealthy and influential Greeks in these associations to ensure both material and moral support.

2 – Appointing prominent Hellenic church leaders as heads of the society.

3 – Establishing commercial enterprises to secure a financial source for the secret society.

4 – Utilizing the Hellenic youth studying in Europe.

5 – Seeking assistance from major powers.

The networks of the secret society extended throughout the Morea and beyond, orchestrating schemes to eliminate internal obstacles. In 1821, it declared its rebellion, during which Germanos, the Bishop of Patras and leader of the secret society in the Morea, carried a banner depicting the image of Mary, proclaiming, “O Greek nation! Arise and slay the Turks!” He called upon all Greeks to wage war against the Ottomans. At this time, the rebellion was also beginning to expand its scope and reach.

This rebellion commenced in 1821, acquiring a national and religious character, and was led by clergymen. Makarios, the former President of Cyprus, stated in an interview with Turkish journalist and lawyer Nuzad Karakil in 1951: “You may know that the church led the Greek uprising against the Ottomans in 1821, with the priests taking the initiative; they were the first to raise the banner of rebellion, and through them, Greece achieved its independence from the Ottoman Empire”. Furthermore, he remarked that freedom is the ideal concept of Christianity. Indeed, this reflects the truth. The priests were tasked with informing the villages and towns that an attack on the Turks to eliminate them would occur on the night of Easter. They took an oath to keep this plan secret until the appointed time. However, the Ottomans learned of this strategy from some of their allies and, as a precaution, withdrew to their fortresses. Unfortunately, these fortifications proved inadequate, and they fell one after another into the hands of the rebellious insurgents.

In a short period of approximately three weeks, the rebels managed to gain control over the entire region of Morea, with the exception of the fierce resistance demonstrated by the Ottomans at the fortress of Tripolitsa, which served as the administrative center of the Morea. This resistance persisted for several months. The Greeks exhibited unprecedented brutality towards the Ottoman soldiers who were captured during this uprising, mercilessly killing them and plundering their possessions. The clergy maintained a continuous and strong connection with the prominent members of the Great Idea Society, consistently collaborating closely with them. The priests in the monasteries provided assistance to the Greek forces in Wallachia and Moldavia, and the church allocated funds from its treasury to support their efforts. The clergy permitted the rebels to utilize the monasteries as storage facilities for cannons and gunpowder, and they also allowed them to use these monasteries as shelters. The bishop of Balyadra sent a letter to the Russian consul, stating that in order to completely rid themselves of the Turks, Russia must assist the rebellious people. As previously mentioned, Patriarch Gregory played a significant role in the Greek uprising against Ottoman rule. However, it is important to clarify that despite being a member of the society advocating for the establishment of Greater Greece, known among the Greeks as the Great Idea, he became apprehensive when Russia declared, in accordance with its political interests at the time, its condemnation of the Orthodox rebellion. Consequently, Patriarch Gregory was compelled to issue a decree known as the “Declaration of Excommunication” against the rebels. The Ottoman intelligence managed to obtain confirmed and documented information indicating that the plan to establish a Greater Orthodox Greek state had been devised by the patriarch himself.

When the news reached Sultan Mahmud II, he was taken aback and promptly ordered a search of the patriarch’s residence. Ali Pasha skillfully devised a plan to raid the patriarchate, which, when executed, resulted in the acquisition of the aforementioned documents by the officials and government representatives. Among these documents were letters addressed to the clergy who led the rebellion in the Morea, information regarding the necessary measures to be taken against the insurrection in Istanbul, as well as the preparations and secret arrangements that the Ottoman state had kept confidential. These details were leaked by the Greek princes affiliated with the church. Additionally, there were correspondences and intelligence received by the patriarchate from the embassies of England and France, particularly concerning the stages of Greek preparations in Russia, news of arms dispatched from the center of the secret society in Odessa, and appeals for assistance directed to Orthodox Christians worldwide, along with receipts for financial aid sent to the patriarchate to support the rebellion.

All of this came to the attention of the Ottoman government, and the patriarch did not deny any of it; he stated that he was responsible for all actions and accepted the accusations against him, acknowledging that he had accomplices in the crime, who were known to the government. Sultan Mahmud II issued a decree to depose Patriarch Gregorius from his position, followed by his execution. The execution took place on the day of the Orthodox Easter, after which the Sultan issued another decree for the election of a successor to the former patriarch. This decree was handed to Istafrakı Bey, the translator of the imperial council, causing great fear among his group. Upon Istafrakı’s arrival at the patriarchate, he read the decree to the officials, who subsequently elected Oyanios as the new patriarch.

The Ottoman government initiated the execution of certain leaders of the rebellion, which significantly contributed to restoring order. The patriarch became an intermediary between the rebels in the Morea and the Ottoman authorities. He even went so far as to send a petition requesting permission to advocate for the Ottoman rule and seek safety. The new patriarch’s efforts were met with a positive response from the Ottoman authorities, who granted amnesty to all who expressed remorse for their actions, allowing them to reclaim their properties and assets. The heirs of the deceased were also compensated accordingly. The churches continued to fulfill their roles, and Christian religious practices proceeded as usual. Furthermore, the government committed to ensuring the safety and stability of these individuals, and foreign ambassadors were informed of these developments. Despite these measures, unrest persisted, necessitating further intervention by the government.

Bid’ee Daniel Haqiqatjou – The Inevitable transition from lying to wicked behaviour!

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Exalted] said:

فَٱجۡتَنِبُواْ ٱلرِّجۡسَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَوۡثَـٰنِ وَٱجۡتَنِبُواْ قَوۡلَ ٱلزُّورِ

So shun the abomination (worshipping) of idols, and shun lying speech (false statements). [Al-Hajj. 30]

Al-Allamah Rabee Bin Hadi al-Madkhali, may Allah preserve him, stated:

“Allah forbade lying and mentioned it alongside shirk”.

The Shaikh also stated, “Numerous are liars today against the callers and carriers of the Salafi Dawah. They (i.e. the liars) are able to disseminate cruel rumours till it reaches the world using various means made available to them in this era. They divert people from Allah’s path and seek to make it crooked in order to further their falsehoods, twaddle, and dangerous innovations in religion that destroy sound belief, sound Islamic approaches to various subjects, and virtuous manners”. [1]

Bid’ee Haqiqatjou once attempted to create a division within Salafiyyah referred to as the Madkhalis. The label of Madkhalism is, in fact, a deceptive tactic employed by the adversaries of Salafiyyah. Lacking solid evidence to challenge the authentic Salafi methodology and its upright scholars, they resort to fabrications, illusions, and defamation. This term was invented by those people of bidah, such as the Qutbiyyah and Ikhwaanees, in an effort to undermine one of the great scholars in our era, Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Madkhali, may Allah preserve him. He (Al-Allamah Rabee) said: “Do you take revenge against these Salafiyyoon and nickname them with these nicknames only because they hold onto the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him]? What is the bidah that the Salafiyyoon have in order for them (i.e. the false accusers) to say Mad’khaliyyah, Jaamiyyah?” [2] There is no such thing as Mad’khalism nor a quietist train in Salafiyyah. For more information about this distinguished scholar, refer to the articles written by Shaikh Abu Khadeejah and Shaikh Abu Iyaad, may Allah preserve them.

This was among the earliest of Mr. Haqiqatjou’s outrageous and nonsensical falsehoods. Consequently, once it became clear that no group known as the Madkhalis exists, it is evident that the misguided Daniel is merely a liar and a slanderer. Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim [may Allah have mercy upon him] stated:

Beware of (lying or lies) because it corrupts one’s ability to illustrate information based on what it should be in reality. It corrupts one’s ability to illustrate information and his ability to teach the people. The liar portrays what is non-existent as something present and what is present as something non-existent. He portrays truth as something false and falsehood as something true; he portrays good as evil and evil as good, so this corrupts his conception and knowledge, which then becomes a punishment upon him. Then he portrays what is not true to the one deceived by him – the one who is inclined towards him- so he corrupts his conception and knowledge. The soul of the liar turns away from the existing reality -inclined towards what is non-existent and gives preference to falsehood. And when his conception and knowledge is corrupted, which is the basis of every willfully chosen deed, his deeds become corrupt and marked by lies, so those deeds would emanate from him just as lies emanate from the tongue- he neither benefits from his tongue nor his deeds. This is why lying is the basis of immorality, just as the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said, “Indeed lies lead to immorality [or wickedness] and indeed immorality [or wickedness] leads to the fire. [Bukhaari 2606/2607]

Firstly lies emerge from the heart and then on the tongue, so it corrupts it; then it transfers to the limbs and corrupts its actions, just as it corrupts the statements of the tongue. Therefore, lying prevails over his statements, deeds and state of affairs; corruption becomes deeply rooted in him and its disease leads to destruction if Allah does not grant him cure him with the medication of truthfulness, which uproots it (i.e. lying) from its original source. This is why the basis [or foundation] of all the deeds of the hearts is based on truthfulness; and the basis of their opposites – such as showing off, self-amazement, pride, being glad (with ungratefulness to Allah’s Favours), conceitedness, boastfulness, insolence, weakness, laziness, cowardice, disgrace and other than them- is lies. The origin of every righteous deed- whether carried out in private or public- is based on truthfulness. And the origin of every corrupt deed – whether carried out in private or public- is lies. [3]

Following the conflict between the Rawafid and the Zionists, Mr. Haqiqatjou could no longer conceal his affection for the Rafidah and his disdain for the Sunnah and its followers. His repugnant behaviour first began with lies and slander against the people of Sunnah, and culminated in Fujoor (wicked behaviour) by manifesting affection for the Rawafid. The Messenger, peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him, said: “Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. And a man keeps on telling the truth until he becomes a truthful person. Falsehood leads to Al-Fajur (i.e. wickedness, evil-doing), and Al-Fajur (wickedness) leads to the (Hell) Fire, and a man may keep on telling lies till he is written before Allah, a liar.”  [Al-Bukhari 6094]

Fitan ultimately exposed the imposter to reveal the deep affection he harbours for the Rafidah, despite all attempts to conceal it. Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah said, “And Imaan is known about a man, just as all the states of his heart are known by way of his (outward) allegiances, enmities, his rejoicing, anger, hunger, thirst, and other such affairs. For these matters have certain outward binding necessities (lawaazim dhaahirah) and the outward matters necessitate inward matters. And this is a matter known, the people know this concerning the one that they have experienced and tested (jarraboohu wamtahinoohu)…”. Also, following his inability to hide his affection and loyalty towards his cherished ones within Ahlul Bidah, he began to undermine the contributions of earlier scholars, including Imam Muhammad Ibn Abdil Wahhab, may Allah have mercy upon him, who came before Al-Allamah Rabee. Consequently, Haqiqatjou embraced a trait reminiscent of the people of Al-Jahiliyyah and those among Ahlul Kitab who strayed from the correct path.

Bid’ee Haqiqatjou, mocking upright scholars is a trait of Jahiliyyah!

Al-Allamah Zaid Bin Hadi Al-Mad’khali, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

They insult the followers of the Messengers saying that they neither possess understanding of affairs nor are they far-sighted, in order to make people flee from their illuminated call that has a praiseworthy outcome. This is a false statement because the people of Nifaaq are the ones without understanding. Had they understood and were truthful – outwardly and inwardly, they would have followed the Prophets and Messengers and those people of sound understanding who followed their path. This [i.e. insulting the followers of the Prophets] is what the people of Prophet Nuh reiterated to him. [ وَمَا نَرَٮٰكَ ٱتَّبَعَكَ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ أَرَاذِلُنَا بَادِىَ ٱلرَّأۡىِ – Nor do we see any follow you but the meanest among us and they (too) followed you without thinking].

To accuse the followers of the noble Messengers and great Prophets that they are people of weak understanding is a false accusation against the religion and belittlement of it. Whoever follows this path that was followed by the people of the pre-Islamic era of ignorance, not honouring the Messengers and what they brought, and not following their pious followers, he resembles the Yahud [i.e. those Yahud who disbelieved and rebelled against the Prophets], the disbelievers, the people of pre-Islamic era of ignorance and the wicked sinners. Therefore, the sensible Muslims should be cautious of resembling them because whoever imitates a people is from them. [4]

Indeed, this is why the senior Salafi teachers challenged this liar and imposter because they could tell from his speech that he is someone who desires trials, temptations and discord. Imam Al-Barbahaaree, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: “Know that leaving the correct path occurs in two ways. Firstly, a man strays from the correct path intending nothing but good, so his error is not to be followed since it leads to destruction. Secondly, a man who deliberately opposes the truth and acts contrary to the Pious ones who came before him, he is astray, leading others astray, a rebellious devil within the Ummah. It is a duty upon those who know of him to warn the people against him and to explain his condition to them so that no one falls into his innovation and is destroyed”.

Al-Allaamah Saalih Al-Fawzaan [may Allah preserve him] commented on the above statement of Imam Barbahaaree [may Allah have mercy upon him] saying: The first man is one who leaves the (correct path) without the intention (to do so), rather he intended good but followed other than the path of good. Striving [alone] is not sufficient, and even if the person has a righteous intention and a good aim, then that must be upon the correct path. Therefore, this (person) is considered mistaken and whoever agrees with him and follows his error will be destroyed because this is a path of destruction even though the (person) did not intend to leave (the correct path); rather his quest was (to reach something) good. This is the state of many of those who initiate newly invented matters in the knowledge of Aqeedah (Creed). This affair is not permissible, and they should not adhere to it. The person is not upon correctness. Allah [The Mighty and Majestic] said: [ وَأَنَّ هَٰذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ – And verily, this is my Straight Path, so follow it, and follow not (other) paths, for they will separate you away from His Path]. [Al-An’am. 153]

Therefore, we reject any path that exits us from the Straight Path even if the one who (calls) to it aims for good and has a good intention. We do not follow him in that while he continues upon his error, eventually leading to destruction because whoever abandons the correct path in his journey and takes a path of ruin will be destroyed.

As for the second person, it is the one who intends to leave (the correct path). He knows the truth and that what he embarks upon is falsehood, but he intends to leave the truth with the intention of misguiding the people. So, the intention of the first (person) is to bring about benefit for the people, but he did not follow the correct path. The second (person) intended to misguide the people and turn them away from the correct path. Therefore, this one is a devil because the devils take the people away from the Straight Path. (Allah informs us that) Iblees said:

[لَأَقْعُدَنَّ لَهُمْ صِرَاطَكَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ -Surely, I will sit in wait against them (human beings) on Your Straight Path]. [7:16] So he intends to turn them away from it [i.e. the straight path] and [direct them] towards the deviated paths. The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] gave us an example when he drew a straight line and drew other lines on its sides, he then said about the straight line, “This is the path of Allah” and he said about the other lines, “These are the other paths, and on each path is a devil calling to it”. This is a clear example that agrees with that which the Shaikh (i.e. Imaam Barbahaaree) has stated here. So, the one who takes the people away from the Straight Path (and directs them) to the innovated paths of the innovators (in religious matters) is not one who intends good for them; rather he intends destruction for them. He is a devil, be it that he is a devil from amongst the Jinn or the people. It is obligated to us to be more careful of this (second person) than the first one because this one (i.e. the second) intends to misguide the people.

And regarding the statement of Imaam Barbahaaree: “He is astray, leading others astray, a rebellious devil”, Al-Allaamah Saalih Al-Fawzaan stated: He is misguided and misguiding others- a rebellious devil, a rebel intending to turn the people from the Straight Path.

And regarding the statement of Imaam Barbahaaree, “It is a duty upon those who know of him to warn the people against him and to explain his condition to them so that no one falls into his innovation and is destroyed”, Al-Allaamah Saalih Al-Fawzaan commented on the above statement, saying: It is not permissible to keep quiet about this one who leaves the truth intentionally; rather it is obligatory to unveil his affair and uncover his vileness until the people are warned about him. And it is not to be said that the people are free to hold views, freedom of speech and respecting the views of others, as say present with regards to [having] respect for the views of others. The affair is not about views; [rather] the affair is about Ittibaa [i.e. following the authentic proofs narrated from the Messenger accompanied with the understanding of the pious predecessors]. Allah has outlined a clear path for us, and He told us to adhere to it, when He [Glorified be He] stated: [وَأَنَّ هَٰذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ] ‘And verily, this is my Straight Path, so follow it’ [6:153]

If any person comes to us and wants us to leave this straight path, firstly we reject his statement. Secondly, we clarify and warn the people against him and we do not keep quiet about him; because if we keep quiet about him, the people will be deceived by him, especially if he is an eloquent person with (skillful) writing and education because the people will be deceived by him and will say, “This one is competent, this one is from the thinkers” as is taking place today. Therefore, the affair is very dangerous, and regarding this is a reason to refute the one in opposition, as opposed to what those who say, “Abandon the refutations, leave the people, everyone has his views and have respect for him”. By way of this (so-called) respect for the views and freedom of speech, the Ummah will be destroyed. The Salaf (pious predecessors) did not keep quiet about the likes of these people; rather they exposed and refuted them due to their knowledge of the danger upon Ummah. We do not keep quiet about their evil; rather that which Allah has revealed must be clarified, otherwise, we will be from those who conceal the truth-those whom Allah spoke of (saying): [إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْتُمُونَ مَا أَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالْهُدَىٰ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا بَيَّنَّاهُ لِلنَّاسِ فِي الْكِتَابِ ۙ أُولَٰئِكَ يَلْعَنُهُمُ اللَّهُ وَيَلْعَنُهُمُ اللَّاعِنُونَ – Verily, those who conceal the clear proofs, evidences and the guidance, which We have sent down, after We have made it clear for the people in the Book, they are the ones cursed by Allaah and cursed by the cursers].'[2:159]

The affair is not limited to the innovator, rather it is extended to the one who keeps quiet about him (i.e. the one who deliberately keeps quiet whilst being aware about him). Rebuke and punishment (i.e. warning) are extended to him because it is obligatory to clarify. [5

Al-Allamah Ibn Aqeel, may Allah have mercy upon him, said, “If the truthful ones were to keep silent and the falsifiers speak, then the creation would have relinquished what they have witnessed (of truth) and reject what they have not witnessed. So, when the devout ones desire to revive the Prophetic path, the people would reject it and think that it is Bidah”. [6]

A harmful behaviour observed in numerous nations across history

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Exalted] said:

وَلَقَدۡ صَرَّفۡنَا فِى هَـٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ لِلنَّاسِ مِن ڪُلِّ مَثَلٍ۬‌ۚ وَكَانَ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ أَڪۡثَرَ شَىۡءٍ۬ جَدَلاً۬

And indeed We have put forth every kind of example in this Quran, for mankind. But, man is ever more quarrelsome than anything]. [Al-Kahf. 54]

Allah informed us about the greatness of the Qur’an, its majesty and (perfect) inclusiveness, and that He has placed every kind of example in it – every path that leads to beneficial sciences and eternal happiness; every path that protects against evil and destruction. In it is clarification of halal and haram, recompense for one’s deeds, exhortation (towards good) and warning (against evil), true (information, stories) that are beneficial for the hearts regarding creed, a source of tranquillity and light (i.e. guidance). This necessitates that one should submit to this Qur’an, receive it with submission and obedience, and not to argue against it in any matter. Despite this, many people argue against truth – based on falsehood – after it has become clear.

“to dispute with false argument, in order to refute the truth thereby”.

This is why Allah stated:

وَكَانَ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ أَڪۡثَرَ شَىۡءٍ۬ جَدَلاً۬

“But, man is ever more quarrelsome than anything”.

Meaning, arguing and disputing against it, despite the fact that this is neither befitting (permissible) nor just, and what inevitably led him to this and make him not accept Iman is wrongdoing and obstinacy; but not due to any flaw in its explanation, Hujjah [clear and overwhelming proof that defeats all the obstinate and stubborn ones] and Burhaan [proof that clarify and distinguish between truth and falsehood in affair], rather, if the punishment and what happened to the previous nations came to them, this would have have been their state of affairs (i.e. disbelief). This is why Allah said:

وَمَا مَنَعَ ٱلنَّاسَ أَن يُؤۡمِنُوٓاْ إِذۡ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَيَسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ رَبَّهُمۡ إِلَّآ أَن تَأۡتِيَہُمۡ سُنَّةُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ أَوۡ يَأۡتِيَہُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ قُبُلاً۬

And nothing prevents men from believing, now when the guidance (the Quran) has come to them, and from asking Forgiveness of their Lord, except that the ways of the ancients be repeated with them (i.e. their destruction decreed by Allah), or the torment be brought to them face to face? [Al-Kahf. 55]

An Excerpt from Tafseer As-Sadi

Never prolong argumentation, time is precious

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:

“The most hated of men in the sight  of Allah is the one who is most quarrelsome”.

Al-Allamah Zayd Bin Hadi Al-Madkhali, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

A warning against argumentation, falling into evil behaviour and its severe (consequences), especially if the argumentation is based on falsehood. As for when it is based on truth, there is nothing wrong with that for the one who has a right to do so;  but he should be just in his argument so that he does not enter into oppression or error, and Allah knows best.

The hadith is a warning against lying during argumentation, falsehood and adorned speech until one changes falsehood into truth and truth into falsehood – not bothered about making an oath, lying or giving false witness. All this takes place from a person who is extremely quarrelsome, goes into excess in the matter and does not feel shy in the presence of Allah- neither fears punishment in this life nor in the next life. When it is the case that the extremely quarrelsome person is blameworthy, the person who has good conduct – if entitled to something – during an argument and other matters, will not utter except truth, and will not seek after anything except the truth- neither lies nor deceives the Shariah judge. This is from the characteristics of the people of Iman – those whom Allah praised in the Qur’an and the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, praised them in the pure Sunnah. (1)

Imam Al-Barbahaaree, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: Al-Hasan (al-Basree) said, “The wise man does not argue or seek to overcome with stratagem rather he propagates his wisdom. If it is accepted, he praises Allah and if it is rejected he praises Allah”. [Sharh As-Sunnah]

Al-Allamah Salih Al-Fawzan, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

Quotes:

The wise man is the one who posses wisdom, and wisdom is to place something in its place. Similarly, the wise one means the one with understanding.

He does not debate (with) a fruitless debate that is devoid of benefit.

He propagates his knowledge and if accepted he praises Allah. This is what is sought after.  If it is not accepted, he is absolved of his responsibility and the proof is conveyed.

“He praises Allah” because he established and conveyed the proof, and fulfilled what is required of him, and the guiding of the hearts is in the hands of Allah. (2)

Imam Muhammad Ibn Salih, may Allah have mercy upon them, said:

O student of knowledge! It is obligated to you to abandon (blameworthy) debate and argumentation because debate and argumentation is a means to cutting off the path to what is correct, makes a person speak to give the upper hand to himself. Even if the truth is made clear to him, you will find him either rejecting it or misconstruing the truth -out of disliking it- to give himself the upper hand and compel his opponent to accept his statement.

Therefore, if you notice (blameworthy) debate and argumentation from your brother when the truth is very clear, but he does not follow it, flee from him like you would flee from a lion, and say, “I do not have anything other than the truth I have mentioned to you”. (3)

Special Students

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Al-Allamah Salih Aala Ash-Shaikh, may Allah preserve him, said:

Whenever you have more humility in pursuit of knowledge through the Shariah, the scholar becomes more devoted to you (i.e. pays closer attention to your needs). This is why you find that many of the scholars have a special student because he (i.e. this student) has good manners when speaking, dealing and walking with the Shaikh, thus, the Shaikh trusts him, devotes (more time and effort to him) in knowledge, gives him knowledge which others are not given, (shares his) life experiences related to knowledge, his experiences with the scholars and circumstances”. [An Excerpt from Sharh Al-Arba’een. Pages 21-22]

All the scholars benefit the entire Ummah, but they have many special senior students in the East who are well known. Similarly, in the West, they have special senior students. May Allah bless all of them in the East and the West Amin.

May Allah keep us and them upon Salafiyyah and grant us Ikhlas, Thabat and Husnul Khatimah. May Allah bless all those in the West and the East Aameen.
