Abu Qataadah Is A Takfeeri and Not A Salafi

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

The enemies of the Salafis and Salafiyyah persist in their disgraceful lies and devil insinuations in the media. They seek to tarnish the true image of salafiyyah by attributing it to the methodologies of the khawaarij, such as Abu Qataadah and his ilk. Indeed, Salafiyyah is absolutely free from the methodology of the innovators. See the following link in order to find out Abu Qataadah’s evil and innovated methodology.

Our Salaf–They did not hasten to give verdicts

Abu khaythama narrated in kitaab al-ilm with a chain of transmission going back to Abdur-Rahmaan ibn Bishr Al-Azraq that two men came in from the doors of kinda whilst Abu Mas’ood Al-Ansaari was sitting in a gathering–(so) one of them (.i.e. one of the two men) said: “Is any man here to judge between us?” A man from the gathering said: “I can.” So Abu Mas’ ood got hold of a handful of pebbles and hit him with them. Thereafter he said to him:”Indeed it used to be hated that a person should hasten to give a verdict. Shaikh Muhammad Amaan on the Saudi State

Shaikh Muhammand Amaan Al-Jaami (rahimahullah ) said:

“We neither live in this country under parliamentary majority rule in which is found numerous partisan parties nor do we live under a dictator who rules by the sword; neither are we ruled by an individual nor by a group…..we are ruled by the Laws of Allaah. The rulers of this country are only considered to be authorities who implement (the Islamic laws) and they are not considered to be those who have authority over the Islamic laws. There cannot be found among us those who have authority over the Islamic law and its existence is not permissible; rather it is not permissible to find among the muslims those who have authority over the Islamic laws–who legislate alongside Allaah. We rule by the laws of Allaah in this country and this is something well known, even to the man who works in the market…

The Ruling on Wedding Rings – Sh.Al-Albany, Sh.bin Baz and Sh.ibn ul-Uthaymeen

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

The origin of the wedding ring emanates from an old practice of the christians whereby the groom would place the ring on the left-hand thumb of the bride and say, “in the name of the father”, then he would move it across to the index finger and say, “in the name of the son”, then he woud move it across to the middle finger and say, “in the name of the holy ghost”, then finally the next movement would mean the ring then ended up upon the finger now known as the “ring finger” where the wedding ring would then remain and “amen” said upon it.

[Paraphrased Aadaab az-Zifaaf of Shaikh al-Albany p140 via Sahab, also mentioned by Sh ibn ul-Uhaymeen quoted from Sh al-Albany, (الضياء اللامع من الخطب الجوامع ج 2 / ص 446)

Shaikh bin Baz concerning wedding rings, “I do not know any basis for this act, this was not from the customs of the muslims…so I consider leaving it is better, it is safer and further from imitation of the disbelievers, it has not reached us that the Salaf as-Salih ever did anything of this nature”. [Paraphrased, http://www.binbaz.org.sa/mat/18573]

Shaikh Fawzan also stated, “It is not permissible to wear wedding rings at all due to:

1] Imitation of non-islamic customs

2] If the person thinks the ring aids in strengthening the love between the husband and wife then this is from Shirk”.

[5] The Creed of the Saudi Kings

The reaction of King ‘Abdul-‘Azeez as-Su’ood upon being praised in lines of poetry.

Once, during one of King ‘Abdul-‘Azeez as-Su’ood’s (rahimahullaah) trips to the town of al-Kharj (7th of Dhul-Hijjah 1363AH -approx: 23rd November 1944CE) a poet from the people of Najd entered upon him. In his hand was a poem he had written, and so he sought permission from the King to read it out. He began: You are our hope and in you is hope… Upon hearing this King ‘Abdul-‘Azeez called out in rejection and glanced across the gathering to Shaykh Hamad al-Jaasir, saying, “O Ibn Jaasir, take this man and teach him some Tawheed!” [Source: Min Hayaatil-Malik ‘Abdil-‘Azeez, pg.71]
