Those Who Live In Awe Due To Fear of Allaah, Even Though They Are Foremost In Knowledge And Piety

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah [The Most High] said:

Verily! Those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; and those who believe in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord; And those who join not anyone (in worship) as partners with their Lord; And those who give that (their charity) which they give (and also do other good deeds) with their hearts full of fear (whether their alms and charities, etc., have been accepted or not), because they are sure to return to their Lord (for reckoning). It is these who race for the good deeds, and they are foremost in them [e.g. offering the compulsory Salat (prayers) in their (early) stated, fixed times and so on]. And We tax not any person except according to his capacity, and with Us is a Record which speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. [Surah Al-Muminoon Aayaat 57-62]

Few Reminders about the People Mentioned In the Above Aayah:

Their hearts are filled with fear due to the fear they have of their Lord. They fear that the justice of their Lord will take effect on them and thus they will be left with no good deeds. They are afraid of having a false good opinion about themselves that they have fulfilled the rights of their Lord and they fear that their Eemaan will cease. This is due to the fact that they know their Lord and what He deserves of exaltation and glory. This fear of theirs necessitates that they refrain from that which will bring about those evil consequences of sins and due to falling short in that which one has been commanded. They carry out that which they have been commanded, such as the prayer, zakat, hajj etc whilst fearing for themselves when their deeds will be presented in the presence of their Lord and on that Day in which they will stand in His presence [on the day of judgement] – fearing that their deeds will not save them from the punishment of Allaah due to their knowledge of their Lord and what He truly deserves of obedience through various types of worship. [Ref 1]

Ibraaheem At-Taymi [rahimahullaah] said: I do not compare my speech with my actions except fearing that my [speech] belies [my deeds]. Ibn Abee Mulayka [rahimahullaah] said: I met thirty Companions of the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] and each of them was afraid of hypocrisy for himself and none of them said that he was as strong in belief as the angel Jibreel or Meekaa’eel. And Al-Hasan Al-Basri [rahimahullaah] said: It is only true believers who fear nifaaq and only a munaafiq who considers himself safe [i.e. does not fear nifaaq]. [Ref 2]

[Ref 1: (Tayseer Al-Kareem Ar-Rahmaan Fee Tafseer Kalaam Al-Mannaan). Abridged and paraphrased]; [Ref 2: Saheeh Al-Bukhaari Vol 1. Chapter 36. (What is said regarding) the fear of a believer that his good deeds may be annulled without his knowledge]

[1] Excerpts From Fadl Ilm As-Salaf Alaa Ilm Al-Khalaf – [Virtue or Excellence of The Knowledge of The Salaf [Pious Predecessors] Over That of Khalaf [Those Who Came After Them]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Imaam Ibn Rajab [rahimahullaah] said: All praises and thanks be to Allaah, the Lord of Aalameen [mankind, jinns and all that exists]. And may Allaah exalt and grant Muhammad a lot of peace, his family and Sahaabah. To proceed:

These are brief statements regarding the meaning of knowledge and its categorization into ‘Beneficial knowledge’, ‘Unbeneficial knowledge’, Blameworthy knowledge’ and a notification regarding the virtue of the knowledge of the Salaf [i.e. the pious predecessors] over the knowledge of the khalaf [i.e. those who came after the Salaf]. Therefore, I say- and Allaah’s aid is sought, I place my trust in Him and there is neither strength nor power except with Allaah.

The Meaning of Knowledge and Its Categorisation

Indeed, Allaah mentioned-sometimes- knowledge in His Book with praise and that is [in reference to] ‘Beneficial Knowledge’.  And at other times, He mentioned knowledge with dispraise and that is [in reference to] ‘Unbeneficial knowledge’. As for the first type [i.e. Beneficial Knowledge], then its example is mentioned in the statement of Allaah [The Most High]: [قُلۡ هَلۡ يَسۡتَوِى ٱلَّذِينَ يَعۡلَمُونَ- Are those who know equal to those who know not?] [39:9]

And the statement of Allaah [The Most High]: [شَهِدَ ٱللَّهُ أَنَّهُ ۥ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَٱلۡمَلَـٰٓٮِٕكَةُ وَأُوْلُواْ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ   – Allah bears witness that La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), and the angels, and those having knowledge (also give this witness)] [3:18]

And the statement of Allaah [The Most High]: [وَقُل رَّبِّ زِدۡنِى عِلۡمً۬ا   -And say: “My Lord! Increase me in knowledge]. [20:114]

And the statement of Allaah [The Most High]: [إِنَّمَا يَخۡشَى ٱللَّهَ مِنۡ عِبَادِهِ ٱلۡعُلَمَـٰٓؤُاْۗ – It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allah]. [35:28]

And what Allaah has stated regarding the story of Aadam- when Aadam was taught the names of those things and were then presented to the Angels, so the Angels – [as Allaah informed us] – said: [سُبۡحَـٰنَكَ لَا عِلۡمَ لَنَآ إِلَّا مَا عَلَّمۡتَنَآ‌ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ – Glory be to You, we have no knowledge except what you have taught us]. [2:32]

And what Allaah [The Most High] has stated regarding the story of Moosaa [alayhis-salaam] and Khidr- that Moosaa said to him: [هَلۡ أَتَّبِعُكَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن تُعَلِّمَنِ مِمَّا عُلِّمۡتَ رُشۡدً۬ا – “May I follow you so that you teach me something of that knowledge (guidance and true path) which you have been taught (by Allah)?”] [18: 66]

This is beneficial knowledge.

Indeed, [we] have been told about a people who were given knowledge but their knowledge did not benefit them; for even though this [knowledge] is actually ‘Beneficial Knowledge’, however its possessor was not benefited by it. Allaah [The Most High] said: [مَثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ حُمِّلُواْ ٱلتَّوۡرَٮٰةَ ثُمَّ لَمۡ يَحۡمِلُوهَا كَمَثَلِ ٱلۡحِمَارِ يَحۡمِلُ أَسۡفَارَۢا‌ۚ  – The likeness of those who were entrusted with the (obligation of the) Taurat (Torah) (i.e. to obey its commandments and to practise its legal laws), but who subsequently failed in those (obligations), is as the likeness of a donkey who carries huge burdens of books (but understands nothing from them). [Surah Al-Jumu’ah Ayah 5]

Allaah [The Most High] said: [وَٱتۡلُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ نَبَأَ ٱلَّذِىٓ ءَاتَيۡنَـٰهُ ءَايَـٰتِنَا فَٱنسَلَخَ مِنۡهَا فَأَتۡبَعَهُ ٱلشَّيۡطَـٰنُ فَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡغَاوِينَ  – And recite (O Muhammad ) to them the story of him to whom We gave Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), but he threw them away, so Shaitan (Satan) followed him up, and he became of those who went astray….up to the statement of Allaah: [وَٱتَّبَعَ هَوَٮٰهُ‌ۚ   – and followed his own vain desire] [Surah Al-A’raaf Aayaat 175-176]

And Allaah [The Most High] said: [فَخَلَفَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ خَلۡفٌ۬ وَرِثُواْ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ يَأۡخُذُونَ عَرَضَ هَـٰذَا ٱلۡأَدۡنَىٰ  – Then after them succeeded an (evil) generation, which inherited the Book, but they chose (for themselves) the goods of this low life (evil pleasures of this world)…[up to the statement of Allaah]: وَدَرَسُواْ مَا فِيهِ‌ۗ And they have studied what is in it (the Book). [Surah Al-Araaf Aayaat 169-170]

As for the knowledge which Allaah [The Most High] mentioned by way of dispraise, it is that which He [The Most High] mentioned regarding magic:

وَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمۡ وَلَا يَنفَعُهُمۡ‌ۚ وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمُواْ لَمَنِ ٱشۡتَرَٮٰهُ مَا لَهُ ۥ فِى ٱلۡأَخِرَةِ مِنۡ خَلَـٰقٍ۬‌ۚ

And they learn that which harms them and profits them not. And indeed they knew that the buyers of it (magic) would have no share in the Hereafter. [2:102]

And the statement of Allaah [The Most High]:

فَلَمَّا جَآءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَـٰتِ فَرِحُواْ بِمَا عِندَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَہۡزِءُونَ

Then when their Messengers came to them with clear proofs, they were glad (and proud) with that which they had of the knowledge (of worldly things): And that at which they used to mock, surrounded them (i.e. the punishment). [40:83]

And the statement of Allaah [The Most High] said:

يَعۡلَمُونَ ظَـٰهِرً۬ا مِّنَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَهُمۡ عَنِ ٱلۡأَخِرَةِ هُمۡ غَـٰفِلُونَ

They know only the outside appearance of the life of the world (i.e. the matters of their livelihood, like irrigating or sowing or reaping, etc.), and they are heedless of the Hereafter. [30:7]

Likewise, the Sunnah categorises knowledge into ‘Beneficial Knowledge ‘ and ‘Unbeneficial Knowledge’, and that [one should] seek refuge with Allaah from ‘Unbeneficial knowledge’ and to ask Allaah for ‘Beneficial Knowledge’. Imaam Muslim [rahimahullaah] reports from Zaid Ibn Arqam [radiyallaahu-anhu] that the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] used to say:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ لَا يَنْفَعُ وَمِنْ قَلْبٍ لَا يَخْشَعُ وَمِنْ نَفْسٍ ‏لَا تَشْبَعُ ‏ ‏وَمِنْ دَعْوَةٍ لَا يُسْتَجَابُ لَهَا

O Allaah! I seek refuge with You from knowledge that does not benefit; from a heart that fears not; from a soul that does not become satisfied and a supplication that is not answered. [Muslim 2722]

What Sincere Advice to The Muslims Necessitate

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Sincere Advice to The Muslims: It is to guide them towards the beneficial things related to the affairs of their Aakhirah and the Dunyaa, and to aid them in that; guide them towards rectification in affairs related to their Dunyah and Aakhirah; love them for the sake of Allaah, aid them in truth, co-operate with them in good and guidance and not in sin and transgression; clarify the truth for them and advise them with it, and disapprove evil if they violate Allaah’s Right etc [Ref 1]

Teach them what they are ignorant of in their religion and aid them upon that through speech and action; repel harm from them and seek what is beneficial for them; command them with good and forbid them from evil with softness and sincerity and be compassionate towards them; respect their elder ones and have mercy on their young ones; speak to them with beautiful admonition and abandon deceiving and envying them; love for them what you love for yourself and hate for them what you hate for yourself; defend their wealth, honour and other than that through speech and action [Ref 2]

Four Ahaadeeth From Adabul Mufrad Regarding Good Character With Brief Commentary of Some Scholars Quoted By Ustaadh Abu Talhah – Dawud Burbank [may Allaah have mercy upon him and his wife]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

 Narration One:

Hadeeth Number 270: Abu Dardaa [radiyallaahu-anhu] reported from the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] who said: “There is nothing that will be heavier upon the balance than good character”. [Ref 1]

Al-Haafiz Muhammad Abdur-Rahmaan al-Mubaarakfooree -rahimahullaah- [d.1353 H] said  in his explanation of the Sunan of at-Tirmidhee: As is established, everything that is hated by Allaah has no weight or value, just as everything which is beloved to Him will be something very great with Him, just as He [The Most High] said regarding the Disbelievers Soorah al-Kahf: [ فَلَا نُقِيمُ لَهُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَـٰمَةِ وَزۡنً۬ا – So on the Day of Resurrection We shall give no weight to them]. [18:105]

And in the well-known hadeeth there occurs: Two sayings are light upon the tongue, heavy upon the Balance, beloved to the Most Merciful: Subhaanallaahi wa bihamdihi, Subhaanallaahil-`Azeem (How free is Allaah of all imperfections, and all praise is for Him! How free is Allaah, the Tremendous, of all imperfections!). [Ref 2]

Shaikh `Abdul-Muhsin al-`Abbaad -hafizahullaah- said in his taped lessons in explanation of Sunan Abee Daawood: This contains affirmation of the Balance (al-Meezaan); and that the actions of the servants will be weighed on the Day of Resurrection; and it indicates the tremendous status of good character, and its reward with Allaah -the Mighty and Majestic; and that it will be one of the heaviest things upon the Balance, when the deeds are weighed, because it is from the greatest and most excellent of deeds.

Narration Two:

Hadeeth no. 272 : Abdullaah Ibn `Amr -radiyallaahu `anhumaa- reported that he heard the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] say: Shall I inform you of the most beloved of you to me, and those who will be seated closest to me on the Day of Resurrection? So the people remained silent, so he repeated it two or three times. The people said: Yes, O Messenger of Allaah! He said: Those who are best in character. [Ref 3]

Imaam an-Nawawee -rahimahullaah- (d.676 H) said in his explanation of Saheeh Muslim: It contains an encouragement upon good character, and an explanation of the virtue of its possessor; and it is the characteristic of the Prophets of Allaah -the Most High- and His righteous and beloved servants. Al-Hasan al-Basree said: The true reality of good character is: Doing good to others, withholding from harming, and having a cheerful face; and al-Qaadee Iyaad said: It is to associate with the people in a beautiful manner, to have a cheerful face, to show love for them, to show compassion for them, to tolerate the harm they cause, to be forbearing with them, to have patience upon disagreeable things, to abandon having pride or being arrogant towards them; and to avoid harshness, anger, and taking them to account. [Ref4]

Imaam Ahmad ibn `Umar al-Qurtubee -rahimahullaah- (d.656 H) said in his explanation of the Abridgement of Saheeh Muslim: So the praiseworthy manners are the characteristics of the Prophets, the beloved and obedient servants of Allaah, and the people of virtue, such as: having patience with disagreeable things, having forbearance when treated with coarseness, bearing harm, treating the people well, showing affection towards them, hastening to carry out their needs, being merciful, compassionate, being mild when disagreeing, verifying affairs carefully, avoiding that which causes corruption and evils; and, in summary, the best of manners is that you favour others over your own self: so you treat people with justice and fairness, but you do not enforce justice and fairness for yourself; so you pardon those who wrong you, and you give to those who withhold from you. [Ref 5]

Al-Haafiz `Abdur-Ra-oof al-Munaawee -rahimahullaah- (d. 1031 H) said: Yoosuf ibn Asbaat said: The sign of good character is in ten qualities: rarely arguing, treating others fairly, abandoning seeking out people’s faults, seeking to rectify and improve any evil qualities which appear, seeking excuses for people, bearing harm, blaming oneself, occupying oneself with awareness of one’s own faults and not with the faults of others, having a cheerful face, and being mild in speech. [Ref 6]

Narration Three:

Hadeeth no. 277: From Anas -radiyallaahu `anhu- who said: I served the Prophet r for ten years, and he never said Uff [1] to me, and he never said to me about anything which I had not done: Why didn’t you do it? Nor about anything which I had done: Why did you do it?! [Ref 7]

Imaam an-Nawawee -rahimahullaah- (d.676 H) said in his explanation of Saheeh Muslim: The hadeeth contains an explanation of the completeness of his character, and the fine manner in which he treated others, and his forbearance, and how he pardoned and overlooked.

Al-Haafiz Ibn Hajr -rahimahullaah- (d. 852 H) said: The point of benefit to be derived from this is leaving off rebuking for that which has been left, since one is still free to carry it out if there is a need for it; and it produces the benefit of keeping the tongue free from censuring and blaming; and it causes the mind of the servant to have amicable feelings, due to his not having been rebuked; and all of this applies in cases relating to the person’s individual rights; as for the affairs which are obligations in the Religion, then they are not overlooked, since they fall under ordering the good and forbidding the evil. [Ref 8]

Narration Four:

Hadeeth no. 323: From Asmaa bint Yazeed -radiyallaahu `anhaa- that she said The Prophet said: Shall I not inform you of the best ones from amongst you? They said: Yes, indeed. He said: Those who when they are seen, then Allaah is remembered. Shall I not inform you of the worst ones from amongst you? They said: Yes, indeed. He said: Those who go about carrying tales to cause mischief between friends, those who seek harm and corruption for the innocent.  [Ref 9]

Al-Haafiz `Abdur-Ra-oof al-Munaawee-rahimahullaah- (d. 1031 H) said: (Shall I not inform you of the best ones from amongst you): i.e. those who are the best of you, O Believers. They said: Yes indeed. He said: Those who when they are seen, then Allaah is remembered. i.e. because of their behaviour and appearance, because an individual from them is sorrowful, downcast, his head is bowed, he is silent; the effect of fear is seen upon his appearance, his behaviour, his movements, his stillness, and his speech. One does not look at him except that it causes him to remember Allaah. His outward appearance is an indication of his knowledge. So these people are known through their appearance: in their calmness, their humility, and their humbleness. [Ref 10]

Mobile Phone Infatuation And Breaking The Law Whilst Driving

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Shaikh Abdur-Razzaaq Al-Badr [hafidhahullaah] said:

We are greatly in need of the Qur’aan, especially this era in which many people have become preoccupied with mobile phones. Many hearts have become infatuated with mobile phones and many eyes have been turned towards them – looking at them in a manner that has no benefit; rather it is harmful to one’s religion, manners, health and well-being. This reality [i.e. preoccupying oneself with mobile phones] grieves many of those who have great zeal for the religion – the sincere advisers – because it has become the case with many people; but on the contrary, the Qur’aan is given very little attention in their lives; rather late at night, different times of the day and most of their time is spent looking at them [i.e. mobile phones] – one gaze after the other; contemplation after another contemplation! And how many a person has been plotted against by shaytaan through these mobile phones.

The good uses of mobile phones is not in need of discussion [i.e. because its benefits are well known]; rather what needs to be addressed is the great calamity that has afflicted many people by way of them- to such an extent that being busied by the mobile phone leads some people to neglect the prayer. They hear the Adhaan – Hayyaa Alas Salaah; Hayyaa Alas Salaah; Hayyaa Alal Falaah…but carry on looking into the mobile phone until the prayer finishes. The time for an obligation ordained by Allaah [i.e. Salaah] to be fulfilled arrives, but one carries on looking into his mobile phone and does not pay attention to the prayer. If it is the case that the obligatory duties are being neglected, then more so other affairs will be neglected.

Therefore, we need to acquaint ourselves with the Qur’aan, especially because mobile phones have preoccupied many people in this era. Our lives would have been far better through attainment of piety and guidance if this preoccupation with mobile phones is substituted with  looking into the Qur’aan, contemplating and pondering upon it; however, we have exchanged that which is the best for something lower. [End of quote] [Ref 1]

Using a Phone Or a Sat Nav When Driving

Brothers and sisters, there is no doubt that our mobile phones can be of great use; but from what we have witnessed so far is that it has become a great source of distraction for some of us. Amazing indeed is the affair when you see a person sending text messages and constantly checking his WhatsApp messages whilst driving. One has to remember that we place ourselves and others in great danger when engaged in such a reckless deed. On the other hand, this is what the law says regarding such a deed: https://www.gov.uk/using-mobile-phones-when-driving-the-law

[2] Beliefs and Deeds of Those Who Scream and Wail; Slash, Whip and Hit Themselves On The Day of Aa’shooraa: [Origins of The Raafidah]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Question to Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [hafidhahullaah]: Is it correct that the first to innovate the Madhab of the Raafidah was Abdullaah Ibn Saba the Yahoodee?  Response: Yes, without a doubt. The Raafidah or the Shiites in general are of two types: The Shiites from the fire worshipers and the Shiites from the Yahood….they hide behind Islaam in order to corrupt it. The Yahood plotted through Abdullaah Ibn Sabah and the first affair he began with was to ignite fitnah against Uthmaan [radiyallaahu-anhu]. Listen to here: https://safeshare.tv/x/krhxTksllR

Some of the Main Heretics Behind the [Forbidden and Exaggerated] Allegiance to the [Family of Ali (radiyallaahu-anhu)] – By Shaikh Muqbil [rahimahullaah]

Al-Mu’ghee’rah Bin Sa’eed- What do the scholars say about this heretic?

Al-Haafidz Adh-Dhahabi [rahimahullaah] stated in ‘Al-Meezaan’ and Al-Haafidz Ibn Hajr [rahimahullaah] stated in ‘Lisaan Al-Meezaan’ (6/75): [He is] Al-Mughee’rah Bin Saeed Al-Bajalee Al Koofee- the Raafidi, the liar.

Ibn Adee [rahimahullaah] said: ‘There was none in Kufa more cursed than Al-Mughee’rah Bin Saeed due to the falsehood he narrated about Ali [radiyallaahu-anhu].  He was always telling lies about the family of the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] and he had no chain of narration for what he narrated.’ Al A’mash [rahimahullaah] asked the heretic Al-Mugheerah Bin Saeed, ‘’Did Ali [radiyallaahu-anhu] use to give life to the dead?’’  He replied, “By the One in whose hand my soul is, had Ali wished, he could have brought Aad and Thamud back to life.’’

The End of Al-Mughee’rah the Raafidi – the Liar

AbuBakr Bin Ayyaash [rahimahullaah] said: I saw Khaalid Bin Abdillaah Al Qasree [an Umayyad governor in Iraq] when he approached Al-Mughee’rah Bin Saeed and his followers; then he [Khaalid] killed a man amongst them and said to Mughee’rah, ‘’Bring him back to life’’, because Mugheerah used to hold that he can give life to the dead.  So, Al-Mugheerah said, ‘’I swear by Allaah! I cannot give life to the dead.’’  Khaalid ordered that grass be brought to kindle a fire; then he said to Al-Mugheerah, ‘’Enter it’’, but he refused.  Then a man amongst Al-Mugheerah’s companions rushed into the [fire] and burnt completely. So khaalid said to Al-Mugheerah, ‘’Wallaahi, he is worthier of leadership than you”. Thereafter, he [khaalid] killed Al-Mugheerah and his companions.

Ishaaq Bin Muhammad An-Nakha-ee Al-Ahmar- What do the scholars and Imaams of the Sunnah say about him?

Haafidh Ad-Dha’habee [rahimahullaah] stated in ‘Al-Meezaan’ and Ibn Hajr [rahimahullaah] stated in ‘Lisaanul Meezaan’ (1/370): Ishaaq Bin Muhammad An-Nakha’ee Al-Ahmar was a liar and a deviant amongst the Ghulaat (extremists).

Al-Khateeb [rahimahullaah] said: I heard Abdul Waahid Bin Ali Al-Asadee [rahimahullaah] saying: Ishaaq bin Muhammad An-Nakha’ee was upon a filthy school of thought, and he said that Ali [radiyallaahu-anhu] is Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic].

Al-Hasan Bin Yahyaa An-Nawbakh’tee (1) [rahimahullaah] stated in his book titled ‘Ar-Radd Alal Ghulaat’ [A refutation against the extremists]: Ishaaq Bin Muhammad Al-Ahmar claimed that Ali [radiyallaahu-anhu] is Allaah [Glorified be Allaah and free is He from all imperfections] and that Ali [radiyallaahu-anhu] manifested himself in Al-Hasan, and then in Al-Husain [radiyallaahu-anhumaa]; and that Ali [radiyallaahu-anhu] was the one who sent Muhammad [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] as a Messenger.

These are some of the fairy tales [or superstitions] and lies of the Raafidah and [none] can protect you from these falsehoods except Allaah [Glorified be He and free is He from all imperfections]. Therefore, you should hold fast to the Book [of Allaah] and the [authentic] Sunnah of His Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam], and Allaah guides whomsoever He pleases to the straight path.

And do not think that these fairy tales [or superstitions] have ceased and decreased, [rather] due to these fairy tales, the Raafidah of Iran are still waiting for the emergence of Muhammad Bin Al-Hasan Al-Askari. (2)

(1) Al-Hasan Bin Yahyaa An-Nawbakh-tee (rahimahullaah) should not be confused with Hasan ibn Musa An-Nawbakhtee who was a Shia writer. (2) They claim that this Hasan Al-Askari is hiding in a tunnel waiting to emerge.  We’ll see the falsity of this claim Inshaa-Allaah.

The Saba’iyyoon hiding Themselves in Islaam

The Saba’iyyoon are the companions of Abdullaah Bin Saba, who said to Ali, “You are; you are”; meaning, “You are the deity”. Haafidh Adh-Dhahabi [rahimahullaah] said: Abdullaah bin Saba was from the extremists amongst the heretics- misguided and misguiding others.   Ibn Asaakir [rahimahullaah] said: He [Abdullaah Bin Saba] was originally from Yemen; a Yahoodi who manifested Islaam [i.e. showed that he was a Muslim], travelled around the Muslim lands to turn them away from obedience to their leaders and to bring about evil between them, and he entered into Damascus for that reason.

Abu Ya’laa [rahimahullaah] reported in his Musnad from Al-Jalaas who said, ‘’I heard Ali [radiyallaahu-anhu] saying to Abdullaah Bin Saba, ‘’Indeed, there will be thirty liars at the approach of the hour”, and you are one of them. Abdullaah bin Saba had followers and they were called the Saba’iyyoon.  They believe that Godhead is with Ali [radiyallaahu-anhu].  And indeed Ali [radiyallaahu-anhu] burnt them with fire during his Khilaafah. And do not think that the followers of Abdullaah Bin Saba have perished, [rather] there is that leader of misguidance -khumeini, who displays jealousy for Islaam, yet he destroys its pillars. And some of the ignorant ones amongst the Ikhwan al- Muslimoon were deceived by Khumeini, and they used to mention him on the pulpits; but when the Book titled: ‘Jaa’a Dawrul Majoos’ came out, they were shaken. They keep quiet and did not praise Khumeini [anymore]. Perhaps the Muslims will take a lesson from the story of Abdullaah Bin Saba and be warned against the machinations [or secret plots] and filth of the Raafidah, because their call is based on deception. Similarities Between Raafidah, Deviated Yahood and Nasaaraa

Shaikh Rabee [hafidhahullaah] stated:

1: Yahood said that leadership is not appropriate except for a man from the family of Dawood. The raafidah say that leadership is not appropriate except for a man from the children of Ali Bin Abee Taalib [radiyallaahu anhu]. 2: Yahood said that there is no jihaad until the dajjaal appears…. The raafidah say that there is no jihaad until the mehdi appears. .. 3: The yahood delay the maghrib prayer until the stars appear, likewise the raafidah delay it. 4: The yahood distort the (verses and meaning of the) torah and the raafidah distort the (verses and meanings of the) Qur’aan. 5: The Yahood hate Jibreal (alayhis salaam ) and they say: “He is our enemy amongst the Angels.” Likewise a group amongst the raafidah say that Jibreal (alayhis salaam ) made a mistake by giving the revelation to Muhammad (sallal.laahu.alayhi wasallam ); rather he was sent to Ali. 6: The yahood used to hate the sahaabah and likewise the raafidah hate the sahaabah.

Some similarities between the raafidah and the nasaaraa

1: The nasaaraa innovated many religious holydays. Likewise, the raafidah (innovated the religious holidays) for the days when Umar and uthmaan were murdered. 2: The nasaaraa make pictures of Eesaa and Maryam (alayhimas salaam) and place them in their churches. They exalt them and prostrate to them. Likewise, the raafidah make pictures of their imaams–they exalt them; rather they make sujood to them and to their graves… [An Excerpt from ‘Man Hum Irhaabiyyoon, Ahumus Safiyyoon Aw Rawaafid: pages 20 onwards. The Clear Proofs Established – Through The Advent of The Unlettered Prophet- Against The Idolaters And Those People of The Scripture Who Used to Hide The Truth

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah [The Most High] said:

هُوَ الَّذِي بَعَثَ فِي الْأُمِّيِّينَ رَسُولًا مِّنْهُمْ

He it is Who sent among the unlettered ones a Messenger (Muhammad) from among themselves. [62:2]

Imaam Ibn Rajab [rahimahullaah] said:

The fact that he is from them carries two beneficial [reminders]: Firstly, indeed this Messenger was also unlettered just like the unlettered ones he was sent to. He never read a book nor wrote with his hand, as Allaah [The Most High] said:

وَمَا كُنتَ تَتْلُو مِن قَبْلِهِ مِن كِتَابٍ وَلَا تَخُطُّهُ بِيَمِينِكَ

Neither did you (O Muhammad) read any book before it (this Qur’an), nor did you write any book (whatsoever) with your right hand. [29:48]

He never left the land of his people [to reside elsewhere] in order to learn anything from them; rather he did not cease being unlettered among the unlettered nation. He neither wrote nor read until he reached the age of forty, then he was given this manifest Book [the Qur’an] that makes things clear.

Secondly: A notification that the one sent among them- the unlettered ones of Makkah in particular- knew his lineage, nobility, truthfulness, trustworthiness and chastity. He grew up among them whilst being well known for [these traits] and that he has never lied. Therefore, when it is the fact that he refrained from lying about the people, then how can he fabricate lies about Allaah. [Ref 1]

Allaah (The Most High) said:

O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Now has come to you Our Messenger (Muhammad) explaining to you much of that which you used to hide from the Scripture and passing over (i.e. leaving out without explaining) much.  Indeed, there has come to you from Allah a light (Prophet Muhammad) and a plain Book (this Qur’an).  Wherewith Allah guides all those who seek His Good Pleasure to ways of peace, and He brings them out of darkness by His Will unto light and guides them to a Straight Way (Islamic Monotheism). [Surah Al-Maa-idah Aayaat 15-16]

After Allaah made a mention of the covenant He took from the people of the scripture-the Jews and Christians- [i.e. in Aayaat 12-14 Surah Maa-idah] and that they violated it except a few amongst them, He then commanded all of them to believe in Muhammad (sallal-laahu – alayhi – wasallam).  He established the proof against them through clear signs that shows the soundness of Muhammad’s (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) Prophethood; and that is: He explained to them much of that which they concealed from mankind, even from the common people who follow their religion.

And if they [i.e. the Jews and Christians] were the ones with knowledge and no one else possessed knowledge during that era except them, then an eager seeker of knowledge would not have had any access to it, except through them. So the Messenger’s arrival with this Great Qur’aan that clarifies for them that which they used to hide amongst themselves–whilst he was unlettered and could neither read nor write–is from the surest of evidences concerning the unequivocal establishment of his Messenger ship, and likewise his qualities mentioned in their books, the presence of the prophecies about him in their books, the verses concerning the divine legislated laws against adultery and what is similar to it.

[وَيَعۡفُواْ عَن ڪَثِيرٍ -And passing over (i.e. leaving out without explaining) much]- Meaning: He abstained from explaining that which is not in agreement with the perfect and infallible wisdom contained in the divine laws. [قَدۡ جَآءَڪُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ نُورٌ۬ وَڪِتَـٰبٌ۬ مُّبِينٌ۬- Indeed, there has come to you from Allah a light (Prophet Muhammad) and a plain Book (this Qur’an)]- Meaning: The Qur’aan that gives light [to those] in the midst of the darkness of ignorance and the foolishness of misguidance. [وَڪِتَـٰبٌ۬ مُّبِينٌ۬ – And a plain Book (this Qur’an)], for everything needed by creation [i.e. Mankind and Jinn] in their worldly and religious affairs–such as knowledge and awareness of Allaah; His Names, Attributes and Actions; knowledge of the rulings of the divine Islamic legislation and His Rulings on recompense.

Then He (The Most High ) mentioned those who are guided by this Qur’aan and the reason behind the slave being guided, so He (The Most High ) said : [يَهۡدِى بِهِ ٱللَّهُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ رِضۡوَٲنَهُ ۥ سُبُلَ ٱلسَّلَـٰمِ -Wherewith Allah guides all those who seek His Good Pleasure to ways of peace]- Meaning: It guides the one who strives and is eager to seek Allaah’s Good pleasure with a good aim; (to the) [سُبُلَ ٱلسَّلَـٰمِ -Ways of peace] that safeguards a person from punishment when he follows them and leads him to the abode of peace (i.e. paradise), and that is to possess knowledge of the truth and to act upon it- in its general and specific affairs. [وَيُخۡرِجُهُم مِّنَ – And He brings them out] from the darkness of disbelief,  bidah, disobedience, ignorance and heedlessness, and enters them into the light of Imaan, the Sunnah, obedience, knowledge and remembrance of Allaah.  All these affairs of guidance are reached by the permission of Allaah- The One that whatever He wills has to take place and whatever He does not will cannot take place. [وَيَهۡدِيهِمۡ إِلَىٰ صِرَٲطٍ۬ مُّسۡتَقِيمٍ – And guides them to a Straight Way (Islamic Monotheism)]. [Ref 2]

Muhammad Is The Slave And Messenger of Allaah – [What Is The Upright Path Related to This Statement?]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

[Muhammad (sallal laahu alayhi wasallam) Is The Slave And Messenger of Allaah]

This statement affirms Muhammad’s [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] servitude to Allaah and his Messenger-ship. These two affairs [Muhammad’s servitude to Allaah and his Messenger-ship] prevents a person from Ghuluww [i.e. exaggeration or going beyond bounds] and Jafaa [i.e. falling short in fulfilling what is required]. The fact that Muhammad [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] is a slave of Allaah necessitates that he is not to be worshipped; rather the Lord [Allaah] alone has the right to be worshipped. Therefore, this prevents a person from Ghuluww [i.e. exaggeration or going beyond bounds regarding the rightful status of Muhammad (sallal laahu-alayhi-wasallam)]. And the affirmation that Muhammad [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] is the Messenger of Allaah prevents a person from Jafaa [i.e. prevents a person from failing to follow the Prophet as he is to be followed; prevents a person from failing to give the Prophet his due rights, status etc].

A Brief Glimpse at How The Messenger Behaved at Home Whilst With His Family

In The Name Allaah of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Aa’isha [رضي الله عنها] narrated: I would drink when I was menstruating, then I would hand it (the vessel) to the Prophet [ﷺ] and he would put his mouth where mine had been, and drink, and I would eat flesh from a bone when I was menstruating, then hand it over to the Prophet [ﷺ] and he would put his mouth where mine had been. [Ref 1]  This shows the Prophet’s [sallal-laahu-alayhi-sallam] strong love for Aa’isha and also the perfection of his [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] humility and good nature. [Ref 2]

Aa’isha [radiyallaahu-anhaa] was asked how the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] was with his family at home.  She [radiyallaahu-anhaa] said, “He used to be in the service of his family”. [Reported by Bukhaari]

“After nightfall the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] would engage in a conversation with Aa-isha [radiyallaahu-anhaa].” [Reported by Imaam Bukhaari]

The Attitude of The Believer Towards This Worldly Life When He Reaches The Morning And The Evening

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah (The Most High) informed us that the believer amongst the people of Pharaoh said:

 يَـٰقَوۡمِ إِنَّمَا هَـٰذِهِ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡيَا مَتَـٰعٌ۬ وَإِنَّ ٱلۡأَخِرَةَ هِىَ دَارُ ٱلۡقَرَارِ

“O my people! Truly, this life of the world is nothing but a (quick passing) enjoyment, and verily, the Hereafter that is the home that will remain forever.” [1]

Mujaahid (rahimahullaah) narrated: Abdullaah Ibn Umar (radiyallaahu-anhumaa) said: Allaah’s Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) took hold of my shoulder and said: ‘’Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveller.’’  The subnarrator added: Ibn Umar Used to say: ‘’If you survive till the evening, do not expect ti be alive in the morning, and if you survive till the morning, do not expect to be alive in the evening, and take from your health for your sickness, and (take) from your life for your death.’’ [2]

The Muslim is like a stranger in this worldly life: The stranger is one residing in a country other than his country.  The worldly life is not the Muslim’s permanent place of residence; rather the Muslim’s permanent place of residence is paradise.  He is in this worldly life to work for entry into Paradise. He takes what is needed from this world to aid him work for entry into paradise.

The Muslim is like a traveller in this worldly life: The traveller takes rest during his journey and then carries on travelling. He does not reside permanently in that place he stopped to take a rest.  In the life of this world the Muslim is that traveller.  In reality he is not a permanent resident in the worldly life because his time in it is very little.  His nights and days take him towards the afterlife.

What is befitting the Muslim with regards to the days, nights, and his health etc! If you reach the morning do not delay good deeds till in the evening because it maybe that you will not reach the evening.  If you reach the evening do not delay good deeds till the morning because it maybe that you will not reach the morning.  Do not delay repentance and righteous deeds till another time.

As long as a person is in a state of good health and wellbeing, he is able to perform fasting, the night prayer etc; but when he becomes sick he is not able to perform fasting, the night prayer etc.  Therefore, as long as Allaah has given you good health, then hasten towards righteous actions because a time will come in which you will be unable to perform them-either due to illness, old age, or senility. Prepare for death and what is to come after it. Allaah gave you this life in order that you busy yourself with what will benefit you in the afterlife. So do not spend your life in play and jest.  [3]
