Our Salaf- Their Stance Against The Books of Ahlul Bidah

قال الإمام أحمد

إياكم أن تكتبوا عن أحد من أصحاب الأهواء ؛ قليلا ولا كثيرا

Imaam Ahmad [rahimahullaah] said: Beware of writing down [knowledge] from one of the people of desires-be it a little or a lot. [Siyar 11/231]

Sa’eed Ibn Amr Al-Bardha’ee [rahimahullaah] said: I witnessed [when] Abu Zur’ah was asked about Haarith Al-Muhaasibee and his books; so he said to the questioner: Beware of these books; they are books of bidah and misguidance. [Al-Meezaan 2/165]

O MCR Hizbies! Why Do You Attach the Youth to The Figureheads of Bidah- [Sayyid Qutb, Hasan Al-Bannah, Al-Maribi, Al-Maghraawi etc]- and Their Books?

Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him] said:

And all praises and thanks be to Allaah, there are scholars of the Sunnah and upright [scholars].  Allaah [Glorified be He and free is He from all imperfections] has not [left you in a state to have] a need of the evil scholars and the books of misguidance, whilst we have authentic books.  Therefore, we hold onto the [upright scholars and authentic books] -neither go to the scholars of misguidance nor the innovators, nor to the books that are mixed [with falsehood].  All praises and thanks be to Allaah, we have good books and scholars, so we hold onto the scholars and the authentic books.

If Ibnul Mubaarak [rahimahullaah] Was to Appear Amongst Us…. by Shaikh Jamaal Bin Fareehaan Al-Haarithi

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Ali Ibn Shaqeeq [rahimahullaah] said: I heard Abdullaah Ibnul Mubaarak  [rahimahullaah] saying in the midst of the people: ”Leave the narrations of the Amr Bin Thaabit because he used to revile the Salaf [i.e. the pious predecessors]”. [Muslim 1/16]

How about if Ibnul Mubaarak [rahimahullaah] was to appear amongst us [today]! What would he say about those who speak ill of the companions of the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam], such as the likes of Mawdoodi, Sayyid Qutb, Taariq Suwaydaan, Hasan bin Farhaan al-Maaliki, Abul Hasan al-Maribi al-Misri and those who defend these people or keep silent about them!

The Correct Stance towards the differing of the scholars concerning Jarh Wat-Tadeel

Question to Shaikh Ubaid Al-Jaabiri [may Allaah preserve him]:

If I heard the statement of a scholar in a cassette or read it in a book concerning some person that he is indeed an innovator, but I did not see the evidence, is it then binding upon me to be cautious of this person and be satisfied that he is indeed an innovator, or do I wait until I find evidence for that?

Answer:

All praise is due to Allaah the Lord of the Aalameen and may Allaah send His Salutations of peace and blessings upon our prophet Muhammad, his family and companions. To proceed: I say: Indeed Ahlus Sunnah do not pass judgement of Bidah (i.e. declare one to be from ahlul bidah) against anyone unless they are fully acquainted with him and completely examine what he is upon and know his methodology perfectly, in general and in detail. And from this point (in our discussion), this affair leads us to two standpoints:

The first standpoint: It is about the one against whom a scholar or scholars have passed a judgement that he is an innovator, whilst other scholars from Ahlus Sunnah like them do not differ (about this judgement). Beware, I say: Others from Ahlus Sunnah do not differ with them; so we accept their criticism against him (i.e. the one declared a man of bidah). We accept their speech and are cautious about him.  So as long as a Sunni Scholar passed judgement against him and he was criticised by a Sunni scholar, whilst the rest of Ahlus Sunnah amongst the contemporaries of this scholar–his brothers and sons amongst the scholars–did not raise (an opposition), then his  speech must be accepted.  That is because this Sunni Scholar who criticised a man did not do so except based on an affair that is clear to him and established upon proof.  This is something related to the religion of Allaah–the one who criticises or commends knows that he is responsible for what he says and for the ruling or judgement he gives. He knows that he is held accountable by Allaah (The Most High) even before the people question him.

The Second Standpoint: If this person who has been criticized by a scholar or scholars and they passed a judgement against him with what drops his status, and it became obligatory to be cautious of him; but then they are opposed by others who judged him to be trustworthy and that he is upon the Sunnah, or gave other judgements in opposition to the judgements of those other (scholars) who criticized him; then in this case, as long as these (scholars) and those (scholars) are upon the Sunnah and all of them are trustworthy and people of integrity in our view, we should look to the evidence. This is why they (i.e. the scholars) say: “The one who knows is a proof against the one who does not know.”

A criticizer who stated about such and such person that he is an innovator and a deviant, whilst producing evidence from the books of the criticized person or from his cassette tapes, or from the transmissions of the reliable narrators about him, then this obligates on us to accept his speech and abandon the (speech) of those who gave commendations in opposition to the one who criticized.  That is because those who criticized him presented evidences that are hidden from the others due some reasons, or due to the fact that the one who commended did not read or hear (anything or something negative) about the criticized; rather he based his commendation upon what he knew about him previously and that he was upon the Sunnah. Therefore, this criticized person against whom evidence is established is truly declared unreliable and the proof is with the one who established the evidence.  And it is incumbent upon the one who seeks the truth to follow the evidence and he does not seek to take a path to the right or the left, or saying: “I abstain of my own accord.” That is because we have not been obligated with this from the Salaf.  Indeed, it is a prescribed obligation to accept the speech of the one who established the evidence.  And the Sunni Scholar who opposed those who criticized (based on clear proofs) is excused and his status and honour are maintained in our eyes. We recognize what –by the will of Allaah–he possesses of virtue and exalted status.

A scholar from Ahlus Sunnah is only a human. He can be distracted and forgetful, and he can be deceived by evil people; or he used to consider a man to be trustworthy–who has now been declared untrustworthy–and he deceives him. The witnesses to this affair are many because many of those whose status has been dropped– due to being declared unreliable based on evidence–are in reality people who wage war against the Sunnah and its people.  So they come along with copies of their books and read it to the distinguished scholars–those considered to be people of leadership and virtue in the religion- whilst the affair of this trickster and plotter is hidden from that noble scholar, which had he known of it the status of this person would have dropped in his eyes. So this scholar gives praise based on what he heard. And if the book (of this trickster) is printed, it is disseminated and transmitted by his supporters and they spread a good reputation about him. Thus there are those who argue saying, “such and such praised him-Al-Albaanee (rahimahullaah), or Ibn Baaz (rahimahullaah), or Ibn Al-Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah) praised this book. However these scholars are excused; rather this trickster was hidden from that scholar.

So, what remains? We establish the evidence against this ‘deceiver, trickster and plotter’ based on what is found in his books.  We establish the manifest clarifications against him from his books and we say to the one who argues with us, “Take it, this is his speech.” Therefore, it is obligated on you to be fair and to be free from that wild and zealous attachment, and from the desires that blinds a person. It is obligatory upon you that your search should be for the truth.

Question to Shaikh Ubaid [may Allaah preserve him]:

What is the obligation upon the common Salafis concerning those du’aat (callers) about whom the scholars differ in their commendations and criticisms, regardless whether they (i.e. the common Salafis) are aware or unaware of their mistakes (i.e. the mistakes of those callers)?

Answer:

I say: I advise you; neither accept cassettes nor books except those of a person whom you know to be upon the Sunnah and a witness of that is established for him—the one well-known to be upon the Sunnah and an opposition to it is not manifested from him. This is an (abiding) general principle applied to him whilst he is alive and after his death.  The one who passed away and we regarded him to be upon the Sunnah, then in our view he is upon the Sunnah and we ask Allaah to keep him firm upon it in the afterlife [i.e. Allaah grants him firmness to answer the questions in the grave due to adherence to the Sunnah (Tawheed and following the Messenger) and resurrects him in the afterlife as a person of Sunnah] just as he was kept firm upon it whilst he was alive…aameen. This is the first affair.

If the affair of a person is hidden from you–the one whose books and cassettes are famous and his fame is widespread–then ask those who are well acquainted with him and those who know about his state of affairs.  That is because neither is the Sunnah hidden nor are its people. A man’s Tazkiyah (i.e. the clear witness that he is upright upon the Sunnah) are his own actions. His Tazkiyah are his own actions that he is upon the Sunnah. It is the witness and the people mention him with it during his life and after his death.

There is none who hides behind the Sunnah– the people beguiled by him, gathered around him to learn, adhered to him, became dependent on him and accepted everything he said–except that Allaah will reveal his affair, uncover and expose his concealed state of affairs to specific individuals and to the general public, regarding what was hidden and apparent of his deception, his mixing truth with falsehood, his plots and deceitful practices.  Allaah facilitates men of virtue, intelligence, wisdom, strength and exceptional natural ability–possessors of knowledge, skill and sound understanding of the religion–through whom He (Allaah) unveils the affair of that trickster, dubious and deceitful person.

Therefore, it is incumbent upon you that when the state of that person is made clear–the one whose fame is widespread etc.–then you should be cautious of him as long as he was warned against by those people of knowledge and Imaan who are upon the Sunnah; for indeed they will unveil his affair with evidences.  And there is no hindrance in unveiling the state of that person who has been warned against by a scholar or scholars with the appropriate etiquettes and in a good manner because that scholar will say to you: “I saw this and that in him, and I saw this and that in the book of such and such, or I heard this or that in the cassette of such and such.” Therefore, you have clear evidence that will unveil what was hidden from you, and that the one whose fame is widespread and his speech is pleasant is one who hides something of innovation and plotting, which cannot be compared to what he manifests from the Sunnah.

The one who knows of a mistake and it is clear to him, then it is not permissible for him to blindly follow a scholar to whom an affair is hidden. And indeed you already heard yesterday that the scholars are not infallible in their Ijtihaadaat. Therefore, it is not permissible to adopt them (i.e. the mistakes of the scholars) as a methodology (to follow).

Slightly Paraphrased and Abridged. See Link: www.sahab.net/home/?p=329

He Clung to His Books and Ignored The Scholars, So He Went Astray!

Abdullaah narrated from his father Imaam Ahmad who said: ”If a person has written works (by the scholars) in which is contained the statements of Allaah’s Messenger  (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam), the differences of opinion between the Sahaabah and the Taabi’een, it is not permissible for him to act upon what he wants, choose (what he wants), judge by it and act upon it until he asks the people of knowledge  (i.e. the scholars) regarding what to take from it, so that he can act upon what is sound.” [Source: I’laam Al-Muwaqqi’een 2/84]

This above statement of Imaam Ahmad (rahimahullaah) reminds us of a head amongst the Hizbiyyoon, whom the Imaam at Al-Markazus Salafi [Kamaal – Imaadud-deen (may Allaah preserve him)] told to refer to the scholars during the fitnah of Abul Hasan al-Maribi, so the hizbi said: ‘’I have a library and can search for the truth’’. We seek Allaah’s protection from misguidance Aameen.

[11] A Series in Response to Abu Usaama’s Habitual Deceitfulness-[SP’s Salafiyyah Is a Great Source of Heartache, Grief and Anxiety For The Bid’ee!]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

In his deceptive response to the Friday incident at al-Markazus Salafi, the Bid’ee attacked our beloved teachers, elders and brothers at SP, as usual accusing them of Ghuloo. We have already replied to the Bid’ee’s slander that we are upon a bidah principle –[Link: http://www.salaficentre.com/2016/04/8-a-series-in-response-to-abu-usaamas-habitual-deceitfulness-motivated-by-deep-malice-he-made-a-fruitless-and-desperate-attempt-to-prove-that-we-follow-a-shaikh-who-is-upon-bidah/] and now we will briefly make known why the Bid’ee hates the students and elders at SP.

Indeed, the malice and hatred harboured by the Bid’ee against the Salafiyoon at SP is due to nothing else other than the fact that they repel his lowly desires and corrupt hizbi ambitions. Shaikh Shamsuddeen Al-Afghani (rahimahullaah) said:  ”Ahlul Bidah are the ones who kindle trials and disorder.  They are a chaotic people and are deprived of safety and security.  They are a people of trials and disturbance as opposed to Ahlul Hadeeth Was-Sunan (i.e. those who steadfastly follow the ahaadeeth of the Prophet and his Sunnah). Have they (i.e. the people of Sunnah) committed what the people of bidah and trials have committed?! The people of bidah trespass- alongside enmity and innovation- whilst Ahlus Sunnah respond and defend (the religion)”. [Source: عداء الماتريدية للعقيدة السلفية 1/26-27]

The Bid’ee cannot come to terms with the fact that SP – by the Mercy and Tawfeeq of Allaah- have remained steadfast, neither compromising with Mubtadi’ah nor their obstinate followers; rather they continue to transmit the sound Aqeedah and Manhaj from the scholars. He cannot come to terms with the fact his continued public stunts -in order to slander SP- has always met failure. And among those  incidents was Shaikh Wasiyullah’s first visited to the Uk, Shaikh Sadlaan’s visit, the different attempts to entice speakers from Saudi, such as Dr Ali Shibl to beautify Greenlane’s ugly affair etc. All these public stunts failed miserably because SP held onto the sound Manhaj positions, for regardless who visits Greenlane’s Admin or speaks good of them, their hizbiyyah still manifests itself like the midday sun. How can an Admin that cooperate with the people of Bidah [at Ihyaa at-Turaath, al-Maghrib Institute and other deviants] be benefitted by any praise?! A person is judged based on what he is upon, so listen to the clarification here: http://safeshare.tv/v/bWPR3Eacn4k

SP did not compromise with anyone, but the Bid’ee compromised and thus ended up in the fitnah of the Mubtadi’ah, the people of Bidah, the hizbiyyoon, the Mu’mayyi’oon – be it Al-Halabi, Al-Maribi, Ihyaa at-Turaath etc Rather, the Bid’ee has even defended Ismaeel Menk – a deobandi. See refutation of Ismaaeel-Menk:http://www.salaficentre.com/2014/01/who-is-mufti-menk/    http://safeshare.tv/v/ss570a54c03bd31

The Bid’ee beautifies the filth of these people of bidah; yet SP are the Ghulaat! This is the despicable opinion of this spiteful transgressor against those who are foremost in bringing clarity in the West, and continue to do so by the permission and Tawfeeq of Allaah (The Most High). These are the Ghulaat, according to Abu Usaama, because they expose his lowly desires, repel his crimes against the Salafi Manhaj and unveil the malicious insinuations of his mentors.  None trusts or entertains this spiteful transgressor except those who employ him at Greenlane to do their dirty job or those who are unaware of his true state of affairs. As for his unsuspecting followers, there is nothing that describes his relationship with them better than the saying: ‘’The trust of the innocent is the liar’s most useful tool.’’

As for the Salafiyyoon, he attempts to stab them with his bidah, deceptions and doubts, but when caught he cuts himself – bleeding and playing the victim game. This is why whenever he seeks to deceive and gets caught, he screams ‘the Ghulaat!’  This behaviour is nothing else but a painful manifestation of frustration because the Salafiyyoon already know that his lies and deceptions are underpinned by an unquestionable acquaintance with the truth he wishes to hide or distort.

The Salafiyyoon know that his perverse and strong desire to slander them is underpinned by nothing else but unjustified vengeance –  stop destroying my plots against the sound Manhaj positions or else I will slander you!!! This is what his actions and statements necessitate; so if what he hides is worse than what he manifests- and only Allaah knows this- then may Allaah open his heart to guidance or give the spiteful transgressor what he deserves. Aameen

The Manhaj of SP is clear and there are no ambiguities in the affair, so ask yourselves the following questions:

*Does Abu Khadeejah, Abu Hakeem and Maktabah Salafiyyah defend or co-operate with a single Mubtadi? No indeed; rather it is the bid’ee who promotes Mubtadiah!

*Do they have any links with a single Mubtadi or an organization that defends Mubtadi’ah? Do they co-operate with the Jamaa’aat Siyaasiyah or those who co-operate with such Jamaa’aat? No indeed; rather it is the Bid’ee who cooperates with Ihyaa at-Turaath, Al-Maghrib Institute and others!

*Do they co-operate with ahlul bidah wal-ahwaa or anyone associated with them? No indeed; rather it is the bid’ee who promotes and defends the deobandi Ismaaeel Menk!

*Do they promote the innovated principles of Hasan Al-Banna and Ikhwaan al muslimeen, or associate with anyone who does so? No indeed; rather it is Bid’ee who praises al-Maribi (an upholder of ikhwaani principles)!

*Do they uphold the false Manhaj of Muwaazanah or associate with anyone who promotes such false principles? No indeed; rather it is the Bid’ee who praises Al-Maribi (an upholder of Muwaazanaat)!

*Do they defend Sayyid Qutb or co-operate with anyone who defends him? No indeed; rather it is the Bid’ee who sits with Ihyaa at-Turaath (sympathisers of Sayyid)!

*Do they endorse the false principles: “We do not disparage but we only correct mistakes’’ and “Let’s not make our differing about someone else a reason for differing among ourselves?’’ No indeed; rather it is the Bid’ee who defends and supports Ali al-Halabi (an upholder of these false principles)!

*Do they make a differentiation between Aqeedah and Manhaj when the scholars pass judgements against the people of bidah, or do they have a link with anyone who calls to these false principles? No indeed; rather their websites are filled with clarifications regarding this important affair!

*Do they hold the false view that the Salaf differed in Aqeedah, or do they have a link with anyone who holds this false view? No indeed; they have no link with any of these people!

*Do they revile the Sahaabah and defend those who call them Ghuthaa-iyyah, or co-operate with anyone who defends such people? No indeed; rather it is the Bid’ee who praises al Maribi (the innovator of this speech)!

*Do they utilise innovated principles in order to place the misguided sects, parties and organizations into the arena of ahlus Sunnah, or do they co-operate with anyone who deliberately utilises such false principles? No indeed; rather it is the Bid’ee who praises al-Maribi (an upholder of this calamity)!

*Do they utilise the principles of the contemporary Mubtadi’ah, such as Ali Al-Halabi, Abul Hasan al-Maribi, Muhammad Al-Maghraawi, Yahyah al-Hajoori and others similar to them, or do they co-operate with anyone who defends these Mubtadi’ah after being well aware of the unambiguous knowledge based refutations against them? No indeed; rather they refute all these Mubtadi’ah!

*Do they praise Ahmad Raza Khan Brelvi, or was it Abdul Haadi who praised Him? No indeed; rather they refute those who shelter the people who uttered such falsehood!

Indeed, it is not SP who commit crimes against the Salafi Manhaj, rather it is the Bid’ee and his associates who are guilty of it. We remind ourselves once again; Shaikh Shamsuddeen Al-Afghani (rahimahullaah) said:  Ahlul Bidah are the ones who kindle trials and disorder.  They are a chaotic people and are deprived of safety and security.  They are a people of trials and disturbance as opposed to Ahlul Hadeeth Was-Sunan (i.e. those who steadfastly follow the ahaadeeth of the Prophet and his Sunnah). And Allaah knows best

To be continued…In-Shaa-Allaah

Mindless Bid’ee [Abu Usaamah] Should Solely Bear The Burden of His Crimes And Refrain From Invoking The Curse of Allaah Against His Children In Seeking To Prove The Unprovable!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Firstly: The Salafiyyoon have witnessed the fact that Abu Usaama is a foul mouthed bid’ee and they have not allowed him to drag them to his level. The one with truth is not in need of such filth; rather such behaviour is a clear manifestation and expression of his weak intellect. He is a very frustrated bid’ee because whenever he attempts deceit, the Salafiyyoon expose him. Therefore, unless he starts accepting responsibility for his actions and sincerely accepts the fact that every single valid criticism against him is due to his actions, it will prove very difficult to repel that big ego by way which shaytaan makes him feel safe behind a wall of lies.

Secondly: Besides the fact that he is a foul mouthed bid’ee, he also goes into extremes in seeking to prove himself trustworthy, even though deception is his second skin. So whilst attempting to prove his trustworthiness, Abu Usaamah invokes the curse of Allaah against himself and his children! In 2004, he made an invocation that if he is lying, may Allaah curse him and his children, and cause them to die outside the fold of Islaam. He uttered this statement whilst seeking to make recantations (as he claimed); but since then his affair has become worse; for at present he openly cooperates with the worst of the hizbiyyoon – Ihyaa at- Turaath, Greenlane Masjid and their allies at al-Maghrib Institute.

So all that drama in 2004 to prove his truthfulness has shown no truthful actions regarding his stance towards the Mubtadi Al-Maribi, rather he has only increased in transgression- from finding excuses for the Ikhwani Mubtadi Al-Maribi, to finding excuses for the Murji Mubtadi Ali Al-Halabi and cooperating with the innovators of Ihyaa at-Turaath. This is his state of affairs in 2016 after invoking the curse of Allaah against himself and his children in 2004.

However, it is manifestly clear that he has not learnt a lesson, for recently he invoked the same curse again. He is solely responsible for his own deeds; so why include his children in such evil! He was the one who chose to defend Mubtadi’ah and was refuted, so why not take the responsibility on his own?

Thirdly: Do we see the scholars -[Shaikh Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz, Shaikh Ibn Uthaymeen, Shaikh Albaani, Shaikh Fawzaan, Shaikh Rabee, Shaikh Ubaid, Shaikh Abdul Muhsin, Shaikh Abdul Azeez Aala Shaikh, Shaikh Luhaydaan, Shaikh Muhammad Bin Haadi and others]- behaving in this manner?! No indeed!

Finally: Perhaps Abu Usaamah is so overwhelmed by his bidah that he is extremely oblivious of the evil he invokes against his children in order to prove the unprovable. We thought that by now his unsuspecting followers would have realised the foolishness of this man. Indeed, he is not absolved of accountability, unless it is known that he is mentally unstable. His desperate attempts at enforcing his rejection of the truth by invoking curses against his children will neither solve his problems nor cancel the unambiguous proofs against him.  How foolish, idiotic, short-sighted and evil of a man who knows that he is upon falsehood and is an established liar, yet he invokes the curse of Allaah against his children in order to prove his fraudulent stances. He should solely bear the burden of his crimes. We ask Allaah to protect his children.  Aameen.

[Part 5] Series of Responses to Abu Usaamah’s Habitual Deceitfulness

Deceitfully Refraining from Explaining and Stating the Scholarly Restrictions Regarding the Principle: “Whoever does not make Tabdee of Mubtadi is a Mubtadi”

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

In his deceptive reply to the Friday incident at Al-Markazus Salafi, the man of bidah mentioned a principle by way of which he sought to establish yet again a trick utilised by ahlul bidah- narrating only what benefits him -(and this time he referred to a principle and refrained from explaining it, whilst passing a verdict against us); whereas the Salafiyyoon narrate what is for them and against. Indeed, it is well known that Abu Usaamah and his allies amongst the Mu’mayyi’ah are famous for utilising general statements, especially regarding some affairs that have been detailed, explained and clarified by the scholars in order to show the falsehood of the Haddaadiyyah and Mu’mayyi’ah, and the sound stance of Ahlus Sunnah.

Abu Usaama stated that we declared him a Mubtadi simply because he does not declare Al-Maribi a Mubtadi, and this, according to Abu Usaamah, is a bidah we are upon – because we declared him a Mubtadi solely due to the fact that he does not declare al-Maribi a Mubtadi.

Firstly: We do not know a single Salafi who preceded any Salafi scholar in declaring Abu Usaama a man of bidah; rather his affair was made known to Shaikh Ahmad An-Najmi (rahimahullaah).

Secondly: Once again, as it is well known of him, he deliberately sought to conceal the knowledge base clarification regarding this affair in order to deceitfully slander Salafiyyoon, just as he attempted to conceal, lie and distort whilst seeking to slander Shaikh Rabee and Ustaadh Abu Khadeejah in the past.

Thirdly: Indeed, what Abu Usaama sought to conceal from his unsuspecting followers will be revealed as follows In-Shaa-Allaah. Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadi (may Allaah preserve him) was asked:

Question: The principle: ‘whoever does not declare an innovator as an innovation, he (himself) is an innovator; some people say that this principle is strange; (or alien to Salafiyyah);

Shaikh Rabee [may Allaah preserve him] stated:

It is not correct to apply this principle unrestrictedly because it maybe that he is unaware of the Bidah committed by that person, therefore he refrains from declaring him an innovator due to Wara [apprehensive fear]. [1] Why should you declare him an innovator? [i.e. why should you declare him an innovator when it is the case that he is unaware of the bidah of that Mubtadi or refrains from making Tabdee out of apprehensive fear].

But if he knows the innovator, [i.e. knows that such a person is upon bidah due to which the evidence was established against him], loves him and allies with him, then he is a Mubtadi.  This is the distinction in this affair – he knows that that person is a Mubtadi but he aids him and wages war against Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaa’ah, then he is a mubtadi without a doubt. As for a person who does not know that such and such person is a Mubtadi, he is not to be declared an innovator.

[As for] you  [i.e. the scholar or student of knowledge who is qualified to make Tabdee] – the one who studied the affair of [that person] and you know that he allies with a Mubtadi, puts him in a favourable position, wages war against Ahlus Sunnah for the sake of that Mubtadi and for the sake of this falsehood, this person is a Mubtadi; misguided.

As for the person who does not know that indeed such and such person is a mubtadi, then advise him and clarify for him [i.e. with clear unambiguous proofs until he understands] that such person is a mubtadi. So unless he ceases [i.e. refrains from defending this mubtadi after understanding the evidences], then put him with his companion – the mubtadi. [Source: Awnul Baari 2/891..slightly paraphrased & abridged]

The Shaikh answered: Finally: This is what Abu Usama sought to conceal in order to deceive his listeners that he was declared a man of Bidah merely based on the fact that he refuses to make Tabdee of Al-Maribi. So his unsuspecting listeners should be made aware of the fact that he deliberately refrained from explaining this principle as well as the fact that we did not precede Shaikh Ahmad (rahimahullaah), nor do we intend to precede the scholars (In-Shaa-Allaah) in declaring him or anyone else a man of bidah and misguidance. However, manipulation, concealment, lies and deception became Abu Usaama’s second skin since when he started defending Mubtadi’ah and cannot argue with the Salafiyyoon based on any evidence; rather deception is what appeals to him but not the truth.

We ask Allaah for Ikhlaas, Thabaat and Husnul Khaatimah. Aameen

To be continued…In-Shaa-Allaah

(1) Wara (apprehensive fear). The translation of this term was taken from one of Ustaadh Amjad Rafiq’s (may Allaah preserve him)  translations.
