[1] A Reminder from a beloved wife to her beloved husband

Assalaamu alaykum warahmatullaah

My dear husband, we all know that marriage is a sign from the signs of Allaah.  Allaah (The Most High) said:

And among His Signs is this, that He created for you wives from among yourselves, that you may find repose in them, and He has put between you affection and mercy. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who reflect. [30:21]

My dear husband, I pray that Allaah (The Most High) grants you happiness and success in this life and the next. May I remind you that being obedient to you in that which Allaah loves is an act of worship and your acts of kindness and compassion are also acts of worship, which cannot be fulfilled except by the Tawfeeq of Allaah (The Most High). So I ask Allaah (The Most High) to grant me Tawfeeq so that I continue being an obedient wife in that which Allaah loves. I also ask Allaah (The Most High) to reward you and grant you safety in this life and the next. Aameen

My dear husband-may Allaah preserve you upon the Sunnah and upon obedience to Him-we all know that that love and compassion in marriage, which is confined within the boundaries of the sharia is the only source of happiness in marriage; therefore I ask Allaah (The Most High) to increase this love between us and include us amongst His grateful slaves.

You know that marriage is a beautiful and blessed affair, but because we are only human we will fall short due to forgetfulness and weakness. Allaah (The Most High) said: [وخُلِقَ الإنسَانُ ضَعِيفاً – And the Insaan was created weak (4:28)]

Therefore, let us constantly remind one another –with gentleness, love, compassion, eagerness for khayr- about fear of Allaah and the home of the afterlife. Indeed, we must utilize the blessed relationship of marriage-which is the one ordained by Allaah-to please our Lord and strive to achieve eternal success in the afterlife. Indeed, we have heard the statement of Allaah (The Most High):

Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection’s second blowing of Trumpet); That Day shall a man flee from his brother; And from his mother and his father; And from his wife and his children. Everyman, that Day, will have enough to make him careless of others. Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism). Laughing, rejoicing at good news (of Paradise). And other faces, that Day, will be dust-stained; Darkness will cover them; Such will be the Kafarah (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness, and in His Messenger Muhammad (), etc.), the Fajarah (wicked evil doers). [80:33-42]

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) warns against Riyaa!

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) said:

“Riyaa is that you perform an act (of worship) and intend that the people see you, praise and commend you. And from that is to perform an act (of worship) in order to be heard, such as reading (the Qur’aan) in order that you are praised and that it is said: ”Indeed, his reading is good and beautiful”; or you perform a lot of Dhikr in order that you are praised and it is said: “He performs a lot of dhikr;” or you enjoin good and forbid evil so that you are praised and commended. This is Riyaa and Shirk Asghar. Therefore, it is obligatory to be mindful of this and that you perform your deeds for the Sake of Allaah alone; and not for the people, their praises and commendations for you; rather you learn in order to act and teach your brothers. And you lead them in the prayer whilst hoping for the reward from Allaah and intending to benefit them, and not out of an intention to be seen or heard.

[Majmoo Fataawaa 9/367]

Beware of evil companions in this worldly life before it is too late!

Allaah (The Most High) said:

Then they (i.e. the people of paradise) will turn to one another, mutually questioning. A speaker of them will say: “Verily, I had a companion (in the world), Who used to say: “Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death). (That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)? (The man) said: “Will you look down? So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. He said: “By Allah! You have nearly ruined me. Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought forth (to Hell).” [37:50-57]

Learn to keep quiet just as you learn to speak

Abu Dhayyaal said,  ”Learn to keep quiet just as you learn to speak. If it is that speech is to guide you, then indeed silence protects you. You have two qualities in silence: A quality through which you take knowledge from one who is more knowledgeable than you; and a quality through which you repel the ignorance of one who is more ignorant than you.

Tremendous Advise Shaikh Raslaan received from his father!

Shaikh Raslaan (may Allaah preserve him) said about his father (rahimahullaah):

”You taught me that a rebuke of truth is more honorable for me than a praise of falsehood; and that the reproach of a truthful person is better for me than the praise of a liar.”
