On Monday, August 1, 2005 Abu Eesa wrote: In the view of recent deaths and the like, wouldn’t it be nice if we remembered a few of the (many) major scholars that we’ve lost in the last few centuries? Here are a few rare pictures to give you some faces to all the names you’ve heard so much of.’’ [Included amongst Abu Eesa’s major scholars were the likes of Shaikh Abdul Fattaah Abu Ghuddah and this statement of his is still present in his blog]

Who is Shaikh Abdul Fattaah Abu Ghuddah?

Imaam Albaani (rahimahullaah) said: He is Shaikh Abdul-Fattaah Abu Ghuddah Al-Hanafi Al-Halabi; well known for his severe enmity towards the People of Sunnah and Hadeeth, especially in his land Halab, when he used to deliver the khut’bah on the Minbar of his Masjid on the Day of Juma’ah and utilized it for abuse against the people of Tawheed who were well-known as the Salafiyyeen, particularly in his land, and the Saudi people of Tawheed and other than them whom he nicknamed Al-Wahhaabiyyah in general. He proclaimed his severe enmity towards them and clearly declared them misguided with his speech: ‘’Indeed, appealing for aid and assistance through the dead besides Allaah (The Most High) and seeking deliverance and rescue of them is permissible, and it is not shirk. And whoever claims that it is shirk or kufr is a kaafir…[1]

Ibn Hazm (rahimahullaah) sated:

Indeed those with a wicked disposition become angry due to severe envy when they see that those who are good to them are in a higher position than them.

Allaah (The Most High) said:

تِلْكَ الدَّارُ الْآخِرَةُ نَجْعَلُهَا لِلَّذِينَ لا يُرِيدُونَ عُلُوّاً فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلا فَسَاداً وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

That home of the Hereafter (i.e. Paradise), We shall assign to those who rebel not against the truth with pride and oppression in the land nor do mischief by committing crimes. And the good end is for the Muttaqun (pious) [Surah Al-Qasas Ayah 83]

 Allaah (The Most High) said:

وَلا تَمْشِ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَرَحاً إِنَّكَ لَنْ تَخْرِقَ الْأَرْضَ وَلَنْ تَبْلُغَ الْجِبَالَ طُولاً

And walk not on the earth with conceit and arrogance. Verily, you can neither rend nor penetrate the earth, nor can you attain a stature like the mountains in height.’’ [Surah Al-Israa Ayah 37]

Allaah (The Most High) said:

 وَلا تُصَعِّرْ خَدَّكَ لِلنَّاسِ وَلا تَمْشِ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَرَحاً إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخْتَالٍ فَخُورٍ

And turn not your face away from men with pride, nor walk in insolence through the earth. Verily, Allah likes not each arrogant boaster. [Surah Luqman Ayah 18]

A Great Reminder From Shaikh Muqbil (rahimahullaah)- Do Not Call to Personalities because….!

Shaikh Muqbil Bin Haadi (rahimahullaah) said:

”Call to the book and the Sunnah. Do not call to personalities, for indeed personalities are not safe from trials and tribulations.”

Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) said:

Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) said: ”And Imaan is known about a man, just as all the states of his heart are known by way of his (outward) allegiances, enmities, his rejoicing, anger, hunger, thirst, and other such affairs.
