Severe Warning Against Declaring Things Unlawful or Lawful Based on One’s Own Accord!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah [The Most High] said: [وَلَا تَقُولُوا لِمَا تَصِفُ أَلْسِنَتُكُمُ الْكَذِبَ هَٰذَا حَلَالٌ وَهَٰذَا حَرَامٌ لِّتَفْتَرُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ لَا يُفْلِحُونَ – And say not concerning that which your tongues put forth falsely: “This is lawful and this is forbidden,” so as to invent lies against Allah. Verily, those who invent lies against Allah will never prosper. [16:116]

Imaam Sadi (rahimahullaah) said: Do not declare (this or that) to be unlawful and lawful on your own accord – lying and fabricating things against Allaah, and forging statements against Him (i.e. passing judgements or rulings that such and such is lawful or unlawful based on ignorance, guessing, assumptions, desires etc). [إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ لَا يُفْلِحُونَ – Verily, those who invent lies against Allah will never prosper]; neither (will they proper)  in this worldly life nor in the afterlife. [Source: Tayseer Al-Kareem al-Mannaan Fee Tafseer Kalaam al-Mannaan. Hadeeth- [A People Will Drink Alcohol And Give It Another Name]- With Short Commentary By Shaikh Zaid [rahimahullaah]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

The Messenger of Allaah [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said, “Indeed, a people from my Ummah will drink alcohol, [and] give it other than its [real] name”. Shaikh Zaid Bin Haadi [rahimahullaah] said, “This hadeeth contains a Prophetic miracle in relation to the information given by the Prophet  [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] about an affair of the unseen and that this will definitely occur. What the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] stated that alcohol will be given a name other than its real name will definitely occur. Indeed – in our era – alcohol has been given another name to deceive the people and urge them towards it, such as the name Mashroob Roohee [i.e. (The sprightly drink or the drink that makes you lively), instead of giving its real name Khamr (i.e. alcohol) as it is said, Al-Khamru Takh’murul Aql – Alcohol veils (or obscures) the intellect]. And they have given it other names as well but it does not isolate it from the fact that it is khamr [alcohol] and it is forbidden”.

Leaving The Correct Path Occurs In Two Ways

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Imaam Barbahaaree [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: “Know that leaving the correct path occurs in two ways. Firstly: that a man strays from the correct path intending nothing but good, so his error is not to be followed since it leads to destruction. Secondly, a man who deliberately opposes the truth and acts contrary to the Pious ones who came before him, he is astray, leading others astray, a rebellious devil within the Ummah. It is a duty upon those who know of him to warn the people against him and to explain his condition to them so that no one falls into his innovation and is destroyed”.

Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him] commented on the above statement of Imaam Barbahaaree [may Allaah have mercy upon him] saying: After the Shaikh [i.e. Imaam Barbahaaree] described the correct path in his previous statement-the correct path that is obligated on the Muslim to follow in his Aqeedah and Religion- he then mentioned that the one who leaves the correct path is one of two men: The First Man: Is the one who leaves the [correct path] without the intention [to do so], rather he intended good but followed other than the path of good. Striving [alone] is not sufficient, and even if the person has a righteous intention and a good aim, then that has to be upon the correct path. Therefore, this [person] is considered mistaken and whoever agrees with him upon that and follows with him upon error will be destroyed; because this is a path of destruction even though the [person] did not intend leaving [the correct path]; rather his quest was [to reach something] good. This is the state of many of those who initiate newly invented affairs -from themselves – in the knowledge of Aqeedah (Creed). This affair is not permissible and they should not adhere to it. The person [upon this path] is not upon correctness. Allah [The Mighty and Majestic] said:

[ وَأَنَّ هَٰذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ – And verily, this is my Straight Path, so follow it, and follow not (other) paths, for they will separate you away from His Path]. [6:153]

So we reject any path that exits us from the Straight Path even if the one who [calls] to it aims for good and has a good intention. We do not follow him upon that whilst he continues upon his error, eventually leading to destruction; because whoever abandons the correct path in his journey and takes a path of ruin will be destroyed.

As For The Second Person: It is the one who intends to leave [the correct path]. He knows the truth and that what he embarks upon is falsehood, but he intends to leave the truth with the intention of misguiding the people. So the intention of the first [person] is to bring about benefit for the people, but he did not follow the correct path. The second [person] intended to misguide the people and to turn them away from the correct path. So this one [i.e. the one who intends misguidance for the people] is a devil, because the devils take the people away from the Straight Path. [Allaah informed us that] Iblees said: [لَأَقْعُدَنَّ لَهُمْ صِرَاطَكَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ -Surely I will sit in wait against them (human beings) on Your Straight Path]. [7:16] So he intends to turn them away from it [i.e. the straight path] and [direct them] towards the deviated paths. The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] gave us an example when he drew a straight line and drew other lines on its sides, he then said about the straight line: ‘This is the path of Allaah’ and he said about the other lines, ‘These are the other paths, and on each path is a devil calling to it.’ This is a clear example that is in agreement to that which the Shaikh [i.e. Imaam Barbahaaree] has mentioned here. So the one who takes the people away from the Straight Path [and direct them] to the innovated paths of the innovators is not one who intends good for them; rather he intends destruction for them. He is a devil, be it that he is a devil from amongst the Jinn or the People. It is obligated on us to be more careful of this [second ] than the first one [i.e. the person who intends good but was mistaken]; because this one [i.e. the intentionally deviated one] intends to misguide the people.

And regarding the statement of Imaam Barbahaaree: “He is astray, leading others astray, a rebellious devil”, Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan commented on the above statement, saying: He is misguided and misguiding others. He is a rebellious devil, a rebel intending to turn the people from the Straight Path. And regarding the statement of Imaam Barbahaaree: ”It is a duty upon those who know of him to warn the people against him and to explain his condition to them so that no one falls into his innovation and is destroyed.’ Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan commented on the above statement, saying: It is not permissible to keep quiet about this one who leaves the truth intentionally; rather it is obligatory to unveil his affair and uncover his vileness until the people are warned about him. And it is not to be said that the people are free to hold views, freedom of speech and respecting the views of others, as say present with regards to [having] respect for the views of others. The affair is not about views; [rather] the affair is about Ittibaa [i.e. following the authentic proofs narrated from the Messenger accompanied with the understanding of the Salaf]. Allah has outlined a clear path for us and He told us to adhere to it, when He [Glorified be He] stated: [وَأَنَّ هَٰذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ] ‘And verily, this is my Straight Path, so follow it’ [6:153]

So any person comes to us and wants us to leave this straight path, then firstly we reject his statement. Secondly, we clarify and warn the people against him and we do not keep quiet about him; because if we keep quiet about him, the people will be deceived by him, especially if he is an eloquent person, [with] good speech, [skillful] writing and is educated; for indeed the people will be deceived by him and will say, ”this one is competent, this one is from the thinkers,” as is taking place today.

So, the affair is very dangerous and regarding this is a reason to refute the one in opposition, as opposed to what those ones say: [that] ”Abandon the refutations, leave the people, everyone has his own views and have respect for him.” By way of this [having] respect for the views and freedom of speech the Ummah will be destroyed. The Salaf did not keep quiet about the likes of these people; rather they exposed and refuted them due to their knowledge of their danger upon Ummah. We do not keep quiet about their evil; rather that which Allaah has revealed must be clarified. And unless [we do that], we will be from those who conceal the truth-those whom Allah spoke of (saying):

[إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْتُمُونَ مَا أَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالْهُدَىٰ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا بَيَّنَّاهُ لِلنَّاسِ فِي الْكِتَابِ ۙ أُولَٰئِكَ يَلْعَنُهُمُ اللَّهُ وَيَلْعَنُهُمُ اللَّاعِنُونَ-Verily, those who conceal the clear proofs, evidences and the guidance, which We have sent down, after We have made it clear for the people in the Book, they are the ones cursed by Allaah and cursed by the cursers.'[2:159] And the affair is not limited to the innovator, rather it is extended to the one who keeps quiet about him, for indeed rebuke and punishment is extended to him; because it is obligatory to clarify and made clear for the people…..up until the Sheikh said: So our intention is to clarify the truth. Our intention is not to [merely] disparage the people or to speak about the people. The intent is to clarify the truth and this is a trust entrusted upon the Scholars. It is not permissible to keep quiet about these people. (1)

Al-Allaamah Muqbil Bin Haadee [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

Indeed Nad’dhaam, Abu Hudhayl and other than them amongst the enemies of the Sunnah have passed and the Sunnah of the Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] has remained white and pure, and their mockery of it has not harmed it (i.e. the Sunnah).  And the contemporary enemies of the Sunnah will die and the Sunnah of the Messenger will remain; because Allaah has guaranteed its preservation. So He (The Most High) said:إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ— Verily We: It is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Qur’an) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption)]. Hadeeth Regarding Two Traits of Al-Jaahiliyyah- [Wailing For The Dead And Reviling Lineages] – With Short Commentary By Shaikh Zayd [rahimahullaah]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Abu Hurairah [radiyallaahu-anhu] said, “The Prophet [sallal laahu -alayhi wasallam] said, ‘There are two matters of Al-Jaahiliyyah [i.e. traits of pre-Islamic ignorance] and the people will never abandon them: wailing for the dead and reviling people’s lineages”.

In this hadeeth, there is a clear warning against falling into these two affairs, because they are from the deeds of Al-Jaahiliyyah [pre-Islamic ignorance]. The deeds of Al-Jaahiliyyah in most cases are evil because they are based on ignorance, a result of ignorance and emanate from ignorance. The best of all deeds are those that are from the Islamic legislation. Therefore, these two traits are from the deeds of the people Al-Jaahiliyyah, but it is not committed by all the people, rather some people will not leave them until the day of Judgement.

The first trait is wailing for the dead by raising one’s voice, an increased mention of [the dead person’s virtues], boasting, tearing one’s clothing and slapping one’s cheeks. All these are deeds of Al-Jaahiliyyah.

The second trait is reviling lineages by boasting about one’s lineage and reviling other people’s lineages, and this does not occur except due to pride and looking down on others. It is not from the traits of the people of Eemaan; rather humility is the trait of the people of Eemaan- being easy going, refraining from self-praise, [refraining] from reviling people’s lineages and [refraining from] boasting about one’s lineage. Indeed, Allaah said: [إِنَّ أَڪۡرَمَكُمۡ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ أَتۡقَٮٰكُمۡ‌ۚ – Verily, the most honourable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has more Taqwa]. [Sural Al-Hujuraat. Aayah 13]

[2] Beliefs and Deeds of Those Who Scream and Wail; Slash, Whip and Hit Themselves On The Day of Aa’shooraa: [Origins of The Raafidah]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Question to Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [hafidhahullaah]: Is it correct that the first to innovate the Madhab of the Raafidah was Abdullaah Ibn Saba the Yahoodee?  Response: Yes, without a doubt. The Raafidah or the Shiites in general are of two types: The Shiites from the fire worshipers and the Shiites from the Yahood….they hide behind Islaam in order to corrupt it. The Yahood plotted through Abdullaah Ibn Sabah and the first affair he began with was to ignite fitnah against Uthmaan [radiyallaahu-anhu]. Listen to here: https://safeshare.tv/x/krhxTksllR

Some of the Main Heretics Behind the [Forbidden and Exaggerated] Allegiance to the [Family of Ali (radiyallaahu-anhu)] – By Shaikh Muqbil [rahimahullaah]

Al-Mu’ghee’rah Bin Sa’eed- What do the scholars say about this heretic?

Al-Haafidz Adh-Dhahabi [rahimahullaah] stated in ‘Al-Meezaan’ and Al-Haafidz Ibn Hajr [rahimahullaah] stated in ‘Lisaan Al-Meezaan’ (6/75): [He is] Al-Mughee’rah Bin Saeed Al-Bajalee Al Koofee- the Raafidi, the liar.

Ibn Adee [rahimahullaah] said: ‘There was none in Kufa more cursed than Al-Mughee’rah Bin Saeed due to the falsehood he narrated about Ali [radiyallaahu-anhu].  He was always telling lies about the family of the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] and he had no chain of narration for what he narrated.’ Al A’mash [rahimahullaah] asked the heretic Al-Mugheerah Bin Saeed, ‘’Did Ali [radiyallaahu-anhu] use to give life to the dead?’’  He replied, “By the One in whose hand my soul is, had Ali wished, he could have brought Aad and Thamud back to life.’’

The End of Al-Mughee’rah the Raafidi – the Liar

AbuBakr Bin Ayyaash [rahimahullaah] said: I saw Khaalid Bin Abdillaah Al Qasree [an Umayyad governor in Iraq] when he approached Al-Mughee’rah Bin Saeed and his followers; then he [Khaalid] killed a man amongst them and said to Mughee’rah, ‘’Bring him back to life’’, because Mugheerah used to hold that he can give life to the dead.  So, Al-Mugheerah said, ‘’I swear by Allaah! I cannot give life to the dead.’’  Khaalid ordered that grass be brought to kindle a fire; then he said to Al-Mugheerah, ‘’Enter it’’, but he refused.  Then a man amongst Al-Mugheerah’s companions rushed into the [fire] and burnt completely. So khaalid said to Al-Mugheerah, ‘’Wallaahi, he is worthier of leadership than you”. Thereafter, he [khaalid] killed Al-Mugheerah and his companions.

Ishaaq Bin Muhammad An-Nakha-ee Al-Ahmar- What do the scholars and Imaams of the Sunnah say about him?

Haafidh Ad-Dha’habee [rahimahullaah] stated in ‘Al-Meezaan’ and Ibn Hajr [rahimahullaah] stated in ‘Lisaanul Meezaan’ (1/370): Ishaaq Bin Muhammad An-Nakha’ee Al-Ahmar was a liar and a deviant amongst the Ghulaat (extremists).

Al-Khateeb [rahimahullaah] said: I heard Abdul Waahid Bin Ali Al-Asadee [rahimahullaah] saying: Ishaaq bin Muhammad An-Nakha’ee was upon a filthy school of thought, and he said that Ali [radiyallaahu-anhu] is Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic].

Al-Hasan Bin Yahyaa An-Nawbakh’tee (1) [rahimahullaah] stated in his book titled ‘Ar-Radd Alal Ghulaat’ [A refutation against the extremists]: Ishaaq Bin Muhammad Al-Ahmar claimed that Ali [radiyallaahu-anhu] is Allaah [Glorified be Allaah and free is He from all imperfections] and that Ali [radiyallaahu-anhu] manifested himself in Al-Hasan, and then in Al-Husain [radiyallaahu-anhumaa]; and that Ali [radiyallaahu-anhu] was the one who sent Muhammad [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] as a Messenger.

These are some of the fairy tales [or superstitions] and lies of the Raafidah and [none] can protect you from these falsehoods except Allaah [Glorified be He and free is He from all imperfections]. Therefore, you should hold fast to the Book [of Allaah] and the [authentic] Sunnah of His Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam], and Allaah guides whomsoever He pleases to the straight path.

And do not think that these fairy tales [or superstitions] have ceased and decreased, [rather] due to these fairy tales, the Raafidah of Iran are still waiting for the emergence of Muhammad Bin Al-Hasan Al-Askari. (2)

(1) Al-Hasan Bin Yahyaa An-Nawbakh-tee (rahimahullaah) should not be confused with Hasan ibn Musa An-Nawbakhtee who was a Shia writer. (2) They claim that this Hasan Al-Askari is hiding in a tunnel waiting to emerge.  We’ll see the falsity of this claim Inshaa-Allaah.

The Saba’iyyoon hiding Themselves in Islaam

The Saba’iyyoon are the companions of Abdullaah Bin Saba, who said to Ali, “You are; you are”; meaning, “You are the deity”. Haafidh Adh-Dhahabi [rahimahullaah] said: Abdullaah bin Saba was from the extremists amongst the heretics- misguided and misguiding others.   Ibn Asaakir [rahimahullaah] said: He [Abdullaah Bin Saba] was originally from Yemen; a Yahoodi who manifested Islaam [i.e. showed that he was a Muslim], travelled around the Muslim lands to turn them away from obedience to their leaders and to bring about evil between them, and he entered into Damascus for that reason.

Abu Ya’laa [rahimahullaah] reported in his Musnad from Al-Jalaas who said, ‘’I heard Ali [radiyallaahu-anhu] saying to Abdullaah Bin Saba, ‘’Indeed, there will be thirty liars at the approach of the hour”, and you are one of them. Abdullaah bin Saba had followers and they were called the Saba’iyyoon.  They believe that Godhead is with Ali [radiyallaahu-anhu].  And indeed Ali [radiyallaahu-anhu] burnt them with fire during his Khilaafah. And do not think that the followers of Abdullaah Bin Saba have perished, [rather] there is that leader of misguidance -khumeini, who displays jealousy for Islaam, yet he destroys its pillars. And some of the ignorant ones amongst the Ikhwan al- Muslimoon were deceived by Khumeini, and they used to mention him on the pulpits; but when the Book titled: ‘Jaa’a Dawrul Majoos’ came out, they were shaken. They keep quiet and did not praise Khumeini [anymore]. Perhaps the Muslims will take a lesson from the story of Abdullaah Bin Saba and be warned against the machinations [or secret plots] and filth of the Raafidah, because their call is based on deception. Similarities Between Raafidah, Deviated Yahood and Nasaaraa

Shaikh Rabee [hafidhahullaah] stated:

1: Yahood said that leadership is not appropriate except for a man from the family of Dawood. The raafidah say that leadership is not appropriate except for a man from the children of Ali Bin Abee Taalib [radiyallaahu anhu]. 2: Yahood said that there is no jihaad until the dajjaal appears…. The raafidah say that there is no jihaad until the mehdi appears. .. 3: The yahood delay the maghrib prayer until the stars appear, likewise the raafidah delay it. 4: The yahood distort the (verses and meaning of the) torah and the raafidah distort the (verses and meanings of the) Qur’aan. 5: The Yahood hate Jibreal (alayhis salaam ) and they say: “He is our enemy amongst the Angels.” Likewise a group amongst the raafidah say that Jibreal (alayhis salaam ) made a mistake by giving the revelation to Muhammad (sallal.laahu.alayhi wasallam ); rather he was sent to Ali. 6: The yahood used to hate the sahaabah and likewise the raafidah hate the sahaabah.

Some similarities between the raafidah and the nasaaraa

1: The nasaaraa innovated many religious holydays. Likewise, the raafidah (innovated the religious holidays) for the days when Umar and uthmaan were murdered. 2: The nasaaraa make pictures of Eesaa and Maryam (alayhimas salaam) and place them in their churches. They exalt them and prostrate to them. Likewise, the raafidah make pictures of their imaams–they exalt them; rather they make sujood to them and to their graves… [An Excerpt from ‘Man Hum Irhaabiyyoon, Ahumus Safiyyoon Aw Rawaafid: pages 20 onwards. A Mistake Related to Travelling

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

This is one of the manifestly evil and clearly forbidden affairs, therefore it not permissible to travel to the lands in which polytheism and evil deeds are manifested, and [in which] forbidden affairs are made lawful, except due to a need and necessity, and [except] for one who manifests his religion, speaks the truth openly and [propagates] Islamic Monotheism. As for travelling in disobedience to [Allaah], abandonment of the obligatory duties and being unable to manifest one’s religion, then none amongst the people of knowledge have spoken about the permissibility of this. It [i.e. travelling in disobedience] is a common affliction and the safeguarded one is the one whom Allaah keeps safe. [Al-Mindhaar Fee Bayaani katheer Minal Akh-taa Ash-Shaa’i’ah page: 77: Shaikh Saaleh Aala Shaikh (hafidhahullaah]

Slave of The Deenaar And Dirham

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Narrated Abu Hurairah [radiyallaahu-anhu]: The Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] said, “let the slave of the Deenaar and Dirham, and Qateefah and khameesah [i.e. money and luxurious clothes] perish, for he is pleased if these things are given to him, and if not, he is displeased”. [Bukhaari. Number 2886]

Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him] commented on this hadeeth as follows:

This hadeeth is about the one who only seeks after the Dunyah [worldly possessions] and does not desire the Hereafter; rather his only desire is Dunyah. He does not give concern to his religion, rather his only concern is the Dunyah; so if he is given something from the Dunyah he becomes pleased with Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] and the people; but if he is not given from it, he becomes displeased with Allaah and the people.

[تعس ]- meaning ‘destroyed’.  [التعس] means ‘destruction’ and unsuccessful. [Allaah (The Most High) said]: [وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَتَعۡسً۬ا لَّهُمۡ – But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah), for them is destruction. (47:8)]

Why is he called a slave [of the Deenaar and dirham]? That is because he attaches his heart to it [i.e. wealth], so the worldly life becomes as if it is his lord. He attaches his heart to it and becomes enslaved by it. The poet says:

*I obeyed my desires and thus they enslaved me

*And had I indeed been satisfied [with what I have] I would have been free

Therefore, this man’s concern is [only] the Dunyah- if given from it he becomes pleased, praises and extols; but if not given, indeed he is displeased and angry, just as Allaah [Glorified be He and free is He from all Imperfections] stated about the hypocrites:

وَمِنۡہُم مَّن يَلۡمِزُكَ فِى ٱلصَّدَقَـٰتِ فَإِنۡ أُعۡطُواْ مِنۡہَا رَضُواْ وَإِن لَّمۡ يُعۡطَوۡاْ مِنۡہَآ إِذَا هُمۡ يَسۡخَطُونَ

And of them are some who accuse you (O Muhammad) in the matter of (the distribution of) the alms. If they are given part thereof, they are pleased, but if they are not given thereof, behold! They are enraged! [9:58]

Their pleasure and displeasure is attached to wealth. The one who (becomes) pleased and displeased (solely) for the sake of wealth is a hypocrite, a slave of the Deenaar and the Dirham. Allaah [The Most High] said: [ وَلَوۡ أَنَّهُمۡ رَضُواْ مَآ ءَاتَٮٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ۥ وَقَالُواْ حَسۡبُنَا ٱللَّهُ سَيُؤۡتِينَا ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ وَرَسُولُهُ ۥۤ إِنَّآ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ رَٲغِبُونَ – Would that they were contented with what Allah and His Messenger () gave them and had said: “Allah is Sufficient for us. Allah will give us of His Bounty, and (also) His Messenger (from alms, etc.). We implore Allah (to enrich us)]. [9:59]

This (hadeeth) conveys a rebuke against covetousness and that a person should not solely be pleased or displeased due to the Dunyah, rather his anger and pleasure should be for the sake of his religion and for the sake of Allaah. As for the Dunyah, if he is given something of it he takes it; but if not given anything from it, then indeed he should say: “Allaah suffices me and He will give me give from His bounty”.

When the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] used to distribute wealth, he used to give those whose Eemaan was weak and the hypocrites – gave them more; but he did not give anything to the best of the Sahaabah; rather he entrusted them to their religion, for indeed due to their [strong] Eemaan they would not become angry if not given. As for the people of weak Eemaan, the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] feared that they will be enraged, so he gave them and brought their hearts closer [the religion].

So this [hadeeth also conveys the affair of] piety and that it is obligated on a person not to attach his heart to the Dunyah [i.e. in the blameworthy manner mentioned in this hadeeth] – solely getting angry and pleased due to it; rather he should attach his heart to Allaah. As for the Dunyah, if he is given something lawful from it- which he did not ask for- then indeed he takes it and utilises it as a means of obedience to Allaah; but if he is not given anything, then indeed his religion suffices him and he places his trust and reliance in Allaah. This is the difference between the people of the Dunyah [i.e. those who solely strive for it at the expense of the Aakhirah] and the people of the Deen [i.e. those who seek after lawful provision in the worldly life and make the afterlife their main goal].

Weapons: [It is a Major Sin to Point a Weapon at Your Muslim Brother, Even Out of Jesting] – By Shaikh Zayd Bin Haadi [rahimahullaah]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Abu Bakrah [radiyallaahu-anhu] said that Allaah’s Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said, “If a Muslim point a weapon at his Muslim brother, an Angel of  Allaah continues cursing him until he turns it away from him”.

In this hadeeth there is a clarification regarding the danger of carrying weapons in the midst of the Muslims- in their gatherings and in the Masaajid. It poses great danger to the Muslims during disputes, for indeed anger can lead one to point a weapon at his brother due to personal [disagreements] and it can be due to something trivial, so it leads him to a pit of the hell fire- either due to killing his brother or injuring him. And due to this, the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] issued a serious warning regarding weapons and [a warning] against pointing a weapon at a Muslim.

It is not permissible to point a weapon at a Muslim even out of jesting. It is not permissible- in all situations – to point a weapon at a Muslim brother even out of jesting due to the fact that it will frighten him. The aim is that if one carries a weapon, it is obligated on him to carry it safely, otherwise there is no need to carry weapons in Muslim countries. And the prohibition becomes more emphasised during personal disputes and differing, so a person should not carry a weapon, for indeed anger leads a person to commit evil and shaytaan does entice a person to commit evil. In this hadeeth, it has been stated that pointing a weapon at a Muslim is a major sin due to the fact that the angels curse the one who points a weapon at his Muslim brother.

Haunted By Three Things If You Perpetrated Them!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

It used to be said that whoever perpetrates these three acts  will be haunted by them:

[1] Rebellion against Allaah’s commandments.

Allaah [The Most High] said:

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّمَا بَغْيُكُمْ عَلَىٰ أَنْفُسِكُمْ

O mankind! Your rebellion (disobedience to Allah) is only against your ownselves.

[Soorah Yoonus: Ayah: 23]

[2] Evil plotting.

Allaah [The Most High] said:

وَلَا يَحِيقُ الْمَكْرُ السَّيِّئُ إِلَّا بِأَهْلِهِ

But the evil plot encompasses only him who makes it.

[Soorah Faatir: Ayah: 43]

[3] Breaking pledges.

Allaah [The Most High] said:

فَمَنْ نَكَثَ فَإِنَّمَا يَنْكُثُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ

Then whosoever breaks his pledge only breaks it to his own harm.

[Soorah Al-Fath: Ayah: 10]

 The difference between

السارق المنتهب المختلس الغاصب

Shaikh Uthaymeen [rahimahullaah] said:

[1] As-Saariq: He does not make himself apparent–neither in the beginning of the affair [i.e. the theft] nor in the end.

[2] Al-Muntahibu: He makes himself apparent in the beginning and at the end [of the theft] but he does not take anything by overpowering [the victim]; rather he snatches.

[3] Al-Mukhtalis: He is like the Al-Muntahibu, except that he hides himself in the beginning of the affair [i.e.the theft].

[4] Al-Ghaasib: He is like the Al-Muntahibu, except that he takes away something by overpowering [the victim].
