Benefit from this beautiful explanation of Mandhoomah Manhajul Haqq, but do not be isolated from the regular lessons of the Tullaab in the local Salafi Masaajid and Maraakiz.
Some of the wise people said: Whoever is given knowledge (of the religion) and knowledge of the Qur’aan, then it is incumbent that he is aware of himself. He does not lower himself to the people of the Dunya (i.e. those with worldly riches) due to what they possess of the worldly riches; for indeed he has been given better than what has been given to the people of the worldly riches. That is because Allaah (The Most High) called the worldly life ‘A Short Enjoyment; so He said: [قُلۡ مَتَـٰعُ ٱلدُّنۡيَا قَلِيلٌ۬ -Say: “Short is the enjoyment of this world]; and He called knowledge and the Qur’aan [خَيۡرً۬ا ڪَثِيرً۬اۗ- Abundant good]

[Al-Jaami Li-Ahkaam Al-Qur’aan of Imaam Qurtubi (rahimahullaah) 3/331]
Allaah (The Most High) stated about the one who was not benefited by the abundant knowledge that was given to him:
[وَلَوۡ شِئۡنَا لَرَفَعۡنَـٰهُ بِہَا- And had We willed, We would surely have elevated him therewith (7:176)]
Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahullaah) said: Therefore, Allaah informed (us) that being elevated in His presence is not merely acquired through knowledge, for indeed this person was from the scholars; rather elevation is acquired through adherence to the truth, giving precedence to it and aiming to please Allaah. Indeed, this person was among the most knowledgeable during his era, but he was neither elevated through his knowledge nor did he benefit from it. We seek Allaah’s protection from knowledge that does not benefit.

When Allaah (The Mighty and Majestic) commanded His slaves to worship Him (alone), He did not leave them to seek a means to this great purpose through any course they want and adopt any means (based on their own) view; rather He legislated worship and legislated its howness (i.e.the manner in which it should be performed), and He precisely determined its form. And anyone who falls short in this or anyone who adds to it, then he is from the transgressors and his deed is rejected. It has been reported in the Saheehayn (i.e. Bukhaari and Muslim) from Aisha (radiyallaahu-anhaa) who said: The Messenger of Allaah (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said:
[من أحدث في أمرنا هذا ما ليس منه فهو رد]- Whoever innovates into this affair of ours (i.e. in this religion) that which is not from it will have it rejected.
”And had it not been for the Grace of Allah and His Mercy on you, not one of you would ever have been pure from sins. But Allah purifies (guides to Islam) whom He wills, and Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.” [24:21]
Hammaad Bin Zayd (rahimahullaah) said: ”I was with Ayyoub, Yoonus and Ibn Awn, so Amr Ibn Bin Ubaid went past them and he used to be a Mutazili; he gave them Salaam and stopped, but they did not reply to him.”
”Whoever wants the dunyah (i.e. a blessed life in this dunyah and not that one seeks religious knowledge for the purpose worldly goods), then upon him is (to pursue) knowledge. And whoever wants the afterlife, then upon him is (to pursue) knowledge.”

”After fulfilling what Allaah has obligated (i.e. through knowledge that is Fard Ayn); there is (nothing) more virtuous than seeking knowledge (i.e. knowledge that is Fard Kifaayah) by way of which the slave seeks to get closer to Allaah.”
Unity; oneness of purpose and truthful co-operation upon truth in every Ummah, is without a doubt the underlying reason for success, victory and nobility in this life and the next.
