The most defiant person in their resistance against Allah’s Messenger

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah, The Most High, said:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تُقَدِّمُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيِ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ

O you who believe! Do not put (yourselves) forward before Allah and His Messenger, and fear Allah. Verily! Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَكُمْ فَوْقَ صَوْتِ النَّبِيِّ

O you who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet.

Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

When it is the case that Allah forbade us from giving precedence to (ourselves) over the Messenger, then which type of giving precedence to oneself over the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, can be more severe than giving precedence to one’s intellect over the revelation he was sent with? Many of the pious predecessors have stated that this Ayah means: “Do not say anything (about the religion) until the Messenger speaks and do not act until he commands you”. The most disobedient person among the people and the most severe with regards to giving precedence to himself over the Messenger is the one who gives precedence to his intellect or the intellect of another person over the revelation. And when it is the case that Allah has forbidden them (i.e. humankind) from raising their voices above the voice of the Messenger, then how about raising their intellects above the statements of the Messenger and the revelation he conveyed?! (1)

Allah (The Most High) said:

Make not the calling of the Messenger (Muhammad) among you as your calling of one another. Allah knows those of you who slip away under shelter (of some excuse without taking the permission to leave, from the Messenger). And let those who oppose the Messenger’s (Muhammad) commandment (i.e. his Sunnah legal ways, orders, acts of worship, statements, etc.) (among the sects) beware, lest some Fitnah befall them or a painful torment be inflicted on them. [An-Noor. 63]

Allah said: [فَلۡيَحۡذَرِ ٱلَّذِينَ يُخَالِفُونَ عَنۡ أَمۡرِهِۦۤ -And let those who oppose the Messenger’s (Muhammad) commandment (i.e. his Sunnah, orders, acts of worship, statements) beware]; [أَن تُصِيبَہُمۡ فِتۡنَةٌ – lest some Fitnah befall them]: Meaning: [Lest] misguidance, calamity in the worldly life or disbelief befall them. [أَوۡ يُصِيبَہُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ – or a painful torment be inflicted on them]: Meaning: Killed [i.e. by enemies] in the worldly life or punished in the hell fire in the afterlife. (2)

Imam Ahmad, may Allah have mercy upon him, said about this Ayah: Do you know what Al-Fitnah is? Al-Fitnah is Shirk. Perhaps if he [i.e. the person] rejects some of his [i.e. the Prophet’s] statements, then something of deviation enters his heart, so he is destroyed. (3)

Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

All praise is due to Allah, who in every age and interval between the Prophets, raises up a group from the people of knowledge, who call the misguided to guidance, patiently bear ill-treatment and harm. With the Book of Allah they give life to the dead and with the Light of Allah they give sight to the blind. How many a person killed by Iblees (the Devil) they have revived, how beautiful their effect has been upon the people, and how vile the people have been towards them! They remove from Allah’s Book the alterations of those going beyond bounds, the false claims of the liars and the false interpretations of the ignoramus- those who uphold the banner of Bidah and let loose the trials and discords, who oppose the Book and agree upon opposing the Book. They speak about Allah and his Book without knowledge, argue about what is ambiguous in the Book and deceive the ignorant ones with such ambiguities. We seek refuge in Allah from the trials of the misguided ones. (4)

Ponder on Allah’s Rights Upon You – Ibn al-Qayyim

Ibn al-Qayyim — may Allah have mercy on him — said:

“If you reflect on the condition of most people, you will find them looking at what (they believe) is their right upon Allah, rather than looking at Allah’s right upon them.

From this perspective, they become cut off from Allah, and their hearts are veiled from truly knowing Him, loving Him, yearning to meet Him, and delighting in His remembrance.

This is the ultimate ignorance a person can have — of his Lord and of his own self.”

Dani Dayan, it’s a genocide! no gaslighting or minimisation, nor insult our intelligence

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah, The Most High, said:

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah; even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allah is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you may avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do. [An-Nisaa. 135]

Dani Dayan, It’s a Genocide! No Gaslighting, Minimisation, Damage Limitation Exercise, Nor Insult Our Intelligence

In this post, we seek to remind Dani Dayan that there is no tolerance for gaslighting, minimisation, or damage control concerning the well-documented and observed reality that the unnecessary extension of the conflict in Gaza, along with the human suffering experienced, can only be classified as genocide and war crimes. Therefore, no amount of eloquent speech or attempts to appear compassionate regarding the situation in Gaza will persuade us of the good intentions of any writer that supports the IDF or Netanyahu, especially when they neglect to confront the root issue, which is simply the fact that since 1948, Palestinians have been killed, their lands seized, and they have been terrorised by soldiers serving successive Zionist regimes in Palestine. Therefore, what follows in the effort to reveal the truth will undoubtedly reinforce the foundation of the problem.

Dani stated: Yad Vashem: Israel’s war in Gaza is not genocide, but we must act morally – exclusive. To equate the IDF, fighting to protect Israeli citizens from a terrorist army that embeds itself within civilian areas, with the Nazis, is not only false, but morally reprehensible. [end of quote]

Response: To boldly assert that the Gaza conflict is not genocide while simultaneously claiming the moral high ground reveals the severely distorted mindset of anyone who utters such speech. Furthermore, protesting against the IDF’s portrayal as inhumane is not just a misguided defense; it is a moral disaster. To ignore all the other atrocities – land theft, displacing Palestinians, starving communities, and relentlessly murdering Palestinians for more than seventy years, and then hoping for a positive reputation, is a notion held only by those who are utterly delusional—namely, Netanyahu and his associates.

Dani stated: The war in Gaza has brought the State of Israel and the Jewish people to a moment of profound pain, resolve, and moral testing. After the barbaric massacre of October 7 committed by Hamas and the taxing fighting that has followed, Israelis have stood united in grief, outrage, and a fierce commitment to self-defense. At the same time, this moment calls on us not only to be strong but also to remain true to who we are. [end of quote]

Response: The conflict in Gaza has exposed to the world the extent of Netanyahu’s actions against vulnerable people. It has laid bare his mindset, which every rational nation—whether overtly or subtly—must find ways to shield themselves from. The conduct of Netanyahu’s administration represents one of the most significant moral challenges of our time concerning fairness, empathy, and justice. He and his Zionist gang are determined to continue their oppression while simultaneously criminalising anyone who dares to call for an immediate cessation of their genocidal activities. Following the horrific massacre on October 7 by Hamas against non-combatants and defenseless civilians, every rational individual condemned Hamas’s actions. [Footnote a] However, the retaliatory measures pursued by Firawnyahu and his far-right faction amount to nothing less than genocide. Thus, while Dani and his people unite in sorrow, anger, and a commitment to self-defense, this does not excuse the extensive and needless loss of Palestinian lives. Instead, this ongoing conflict serves merely as a façade for Namrudyahu’s agenda to displace the Gazans in his quest for the so-called ownership of the promised land. [Footnote b] Moreover, staying true to oneself can never justify silence or making misleading claims aimed at diverting attention, which everyone has observed while Netanyahu continues his acts of theft, chronic victim mentality, genocide and entitlement by any means necessary.

Dani stated: Hamas’s atrocities on October 7 were the most horrific crimes committed against Jews since the Holocaust: the deliberate slaughter of civilians, rape, torture, and the kidnapping of children and the elderly. Given the opportunity, Hamas would carry it out again. [end of quote]

Response: The horrific acts perpetrated by Hamas against innocent civilians and non-combatants are consistently denounced by rational individuals. However, it’s important to note that Hamas did not come into existence until the late 1980s, therefore, we must not forget that since 1948, sucessive Zionist regimes have been brutalising Palestinians. Sucessive Zionist regimes have been killing, injuring, crippling, and imprisoning Palestinians, employing snipers against them long before Hamas appeared. While all of this is true, Hamas’s actions against unarmed civilians and non-combatants are indefensible and are condemned without any reservations. However, the brutality encountered from successive Zionist regimes is unparalleled since the end of World War II.

Dani stated: Israel has the right and the duty to protect its citizens and dismantle this murderous threat. But as we do so, we must also uphold the values that define us: the sanctity of life, the rule of law, and the moral compass that has always guided the Jewish people, the State of Israel, and the IDF. [end of quote]

Response: Palestinians also deserve safety and the right to own their land without harassment or aggression from settlers. They also have the right to live with dignity, free from violations of the privacy of their wives, sisters, mothers, and daughters and grandmothers. Therefore, all civilised nations should work to dismantle the moderous Zionist threat and the impunity that has persisted for the last 70 years. Moreover, when has the IDF ever upheld the rule of law, shown respect for life, or acted morally towards Palestinians? How can a thief, an armed robber, or a delusional person claim to enforce the law? The IDF is infamous for its brutality, and no amount of false claims of moral superiority can deceive us, as we have seen the atrocities committed in Gaza—babies killed, places of worship destroyed, schools and hospitals bombed, medical personnel and journalists targeted, ambulances attacked—all under the pretense of self-defense and retaliation. Even animals do not deserve such treatment. Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said, “An ant bit one of the Prophets, so he ordered that the colony of ants be burned. Allah revealed to him: ‘One ant has bitten you, so you destroy one of the nations that praise Allah?!'” [al-Bukhari 3019 and Muslim 2241]

Dani stated: We must never lose sight of the scores of Israeli hostages who remain in Hamas’s brutal captivity. They are being held in cruel and inhumane conditions, deprived of the most basic rights, and used as bargaining chips by a terrorist organization that scorns international law. Their continued suffering is a national wound and a moral outrage. [end of quote]

Response: If Shaytanyahu genuinely cared about the hostages held by Hamas and not just his own political interests, he would not have extended this conflict. If he really valued the hostages, he would have ceased hostilities; instead, this ongoing war serves as a cover to displace the people of Gaza. No one disregards fair play more than Namrudyahu. Moreover, all captives deserve humane treatment, and whenever demonstrated, without exaggeration or propaganda, that Hamas or any other group mistreats hostages, they should be condemned for such actions and stopped, as the final revelation mandates the humane treatment of prisoners of war. However, no one has been more brutal towards prisoners than the successive Zionist governments. Furthermore, Gaza functions as an open-air prison.

Dani said: The demand for their immediate and unconditional release must remain at the forefront of our national and international efforts. [end of quote]

Response: Indeed, neither should those non-combatant hostages be held nor brutalised, and you are entitled to claim what is rightfully yours. Similarly, the Palestinians have the right to insist that you cease killing them, stop appropriating their land, and halt the abuse and maiming of their children. [Footnote c] This issue should be a priority in the national and international endeavors of Muslims, urging Zionists to end their unchecked actions and restore all the rights of Palestinians that have been infringed upon since 1948, aided by certain Western ideologies that influenced the United Nations. [Footnote d]

Dani stated: Accusations that Israel is committing genocide are unfounded and constitute a dangerous distortion of the term. But that does not mean we should not acknowledge the suffering of civilians in Gaza. There are many men, women, and children with no connection to terrorism who are experiencing devastation, displacement, and loss. [end of quote]

Response: Claims that Netanyahu or anyone implicated alongside him are not committing genocide are merely the assertions of arrogant fools, a desperate effort by ideologues to downplay the severity of the atrocities that everyone has witnessed, or such claims about the absence of genocide reflect a dangerous and disastrous mindset, as well as a misrepresentation of the true meaning of the term. However, this does not imply that we should ignore the suffering of the hostages or fail to condemn Hamas’s attack on non-combatants on October 7. Regarding the undeniable fact that there are Gazans with no ties to terrorism, one must ask: how can a nation be brutalized for so many years and have their land taken, with every aspect of their lives controlled, yet their resistance is labeled as terrorism? Instead of using this rhetoric, the solution is simple: return to the borders of 1967, as all Muslim leaders have demanded. In stating this, any Palestinian who commits acts of aggression against non-combatants must be held accountable; however, the errors made by Palestinians in their struggle to escape the brutality of successive Zionist regimes are minuscule compared to the massive atrocities inflicted upon them by Zionist security forces and settlers for over seventy years. Our grandparents spoke of these events, and now we are witnessing the same situation. We must call a spade a spade.

Dani stated: Their anguish is real, and our moral tradition obligates us not to turn away from it. Hamas bears full responsibility for turning Gaza into a battlefield and embedding itself among civilians, using them as human shields in a blatant breach of international law, but that does not absolve us from striving to minimize harm to civilians. Seeing the humanity of others, even in war, is not a sign of weakness but a testament to our strength. [end of quote]

Response: The suffering of Palestinians has persisted since 1948, so why does it concern you now?! The only reason some pro-Zionists are upset is that Genocideyahu is losing the battle for international support, as everyone has seen his violence masked as self-defense. An army that prides itself on its capability to infiltrate and eliminate targets thousands of miles away commits numerous atrocities at its doorstep while claiming to do their best to avoid harming civilians. We have heard the assertion of reducing civilian harm, yet we only see a rise in death and devastation; therefore, this assertion is merely an empty slogan. Furthermore, the IDF has been oppressing Palestinians since 1948. This conflict represents both a display of weakness and an exhibition of brutality—weakness in that the IDF targets defenseless, vulnerable individuals, but avoids engaging those who could challenge them, making them cowardly bullies. The conflict also embodies brutality due to the heinous acts committed, as Prince Turki Al-Faisal remarked that there are no heroes in war. https://youtu.be/Z3-cWyFcK5w

Dani stated: Misuse of Holocaust language by both critics and supporters of Israel: Unfortunately, the public discourse surrounding the war, in Israel and abroad, has often been overwhelmed by rhetoric that distorts, inflames, and divides. We have seen the misuse of Holocaust language by both critics and supporters of Israel, as well as by people of influence and power in our own society. We have heard comparisons of Israel’s military actions to Nazi crimes, a slanderous and outrageous distortion of history. The Holocaust was a singular event: the systematic, ideologically driven, state-led annihilation of six million Jews by Nazi Germany. [end of quote]

Response: This illustrates yet another distorted perspective. Regardless of what is said about the IDF or Shaytanyahu, does anyone possess the right to take even an ant’s life without justification, much less the life of an innocent human? All those who kill innocent civilians—be it the Nazis, the IDF, Hamas, ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Boko Haram, and others—are held accountable in the eyes of Allah. If Nazi Germany murdered 6 million Jews and Belgian King Leopold II caused the death of 10 million Africans, for which they are still condemned today, then why should we not condemn the Zionist security forces for killing, stealing, displacing, destroying, crippling, and maiming Palestinians for over 70 years? Why should it be one rule for other and another rule for Namrudyahu and his partners in crime?!

Dani stated: Whatever one’s view of the current conflict, it bears no resemblance to the Shoah. To equate the IDF, fighting to protect Israeli citizens from a terrorist army that embeds itself within civilian areas, with the Nazis, is not only false but morally reprehensible. It dishonors the memory of the victims and trivializes the meaning of genocide. But we must also be cautious not to allow our own language and emotions to obscure essential distinctions. In moments of grief and rage, it is understandable that Holocaust imagery surfaces, especially for a people whose trauma is so recent and deep. Yet calling October 7 “another Shoah” or branding Palestinians as “Nazis” risks damaging our own historical clarity and ethical integrity. [end of quote]

Response: No need to comment on this. Listen here: https://youtu.be/Z3-cWyFcK5w

Dani stated: The Holocaust is not a rhetorical tool. If we demand that the world not abuse it, we must hold ourselves to the same standard. Even more troubling are statements, sometimes by public figures and leaders, that appear to advocate measures inconsistent with moral values: calls for indiscriminate bombing, for denying humanitarian aid, or for erasing the distinction between civilians and terrorists. Such rhetoric is dangerous. It contradicts our democratic, human, and Jewish values; it threatens the ethical legacy of the IDF; and it undermines our international standing. These statements can influence attitudes, affect decisions, and erode the moral guardrails we’ve built over decades. [end of quote]

Response: If all of this goes against your values, begin by returning the land, controlling the settlers, and removing them. If you fail to do this, please refrain from trying to appease us with ineffective condemnations of those you wouldn’t compel to return all the stolen property.

Dani stated: Israel was forced into a just war it didn’t want. But war does not exempt us from the obligation to act with humanity. On the contrary: it is in our darkest hours that our values must shine brightest. The IDF’s commitment to the principle of “purity of arms” is not a luxury; it is part of what distinguishes us from those who celebrate death and terror. Upholding that tradition is not weakness – it is strength. Some believe moral clarity requires an “all-or-nothing” approach in choosing sides: either you defend Israel without question or condemn it entirely. But real moral clarity lies in the ability to stand with Israel’s right to defend itself while also advocating that it does so in a way that reflects our deepest values. [end of quote]

Response: This is not a war; it is genocide, ethnic cleansing, mass murder, and war crimes. Furthermore, if you possess morality and strength, return the land. Otherwise, why heed the words of thieves who rob others and then charm the victim into viewing them as humane? They are not acting in self-defense; instead, they are perpetrating genocide to drive Palestinians from their homes under the guise of self-defense and fighting terrorism. They have engaged in acts of terror long before Hamas emerged; in fact, Hamas serves as a tool for some within the Zionist movement. Read: https://abuiyaad.com/w/hamas-israeli-right

Dani stated: We can wholeheartedly reject accusations of genocide and still be vigilant about maintaining ethical standards. We can combat antisemitism without embracing dehumanizing rhetoric. We can support the mission to dismantle Hamas and still affirm the importance of preserving human dignity, even, and especially, in war. That is not only possible – it is necessary. It is, in fact, the essence of Jewish strength. We embrace our tradition of memory, of striving to behave in good conscience, and of wrestling with complexity. Memory should not only remember the past but also shape the future. The enemies we face reject life and law and even the most basic tenets of humanity. But our struggle is not only to defeat them – it is to emerge with our moral compass intact. The strength of Israel has always been measured not only on the battlefield but also in our commitment to justice and human dignity. Let us defend our people. Let us protect our future. And at the same time, let us work to preserve the ethical legacy that has carried us through history and must guide us still. [end of quote]

Response: The guilt of genocide is undeniable, and you cannot escape it. Antisemitism must be confronted decisively, [Footnote e] along with combating Zionmist brutality, especially against some leaders of Zionism who continue to make statements that are equally inhumane. https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2025/01/15/must-take-a-look-at-what-is-happening-in-their-own-backyard-first/

Successive Zionist regimes have openly expressed their hostility towards Palestinians, viewing them merely as individuals to be robbed, displaced, and subjected to daily brutality simply for standing firm in their rights. This reality is known worldwide, including by our grandparents who have now returned to their Creator. Thus, your attempt, Dani, to portray the IDF in a positive light will not be accepted by any rational individual. If you genuinely care about humanity, withdraw from the occupied territories. Do not insult our intelligence Dani!

Sins are Major and Minor – Shaykh Fawzaan

If you avoid the great sins which you are forbidden to do, We shall remit from you your (small) sins, and admit you to a Noble Entrance (i.e. Paradise). An-Nisa’ 4:31

Allah’s statement contains a clear indication that sins are of different types: major and minor. Whoever avoids the major sins, Allah will pardon and forgive their minor sins. This is a promise from Allah, Subhanahu wa Ta’ala.

وَنُدۡخِلۡكُم مُّدۡخَلًا كَرِيمًا

and admit you to a Noble Entrance (i.e. Paradise). An-Nisa’ 4:31

This too is a promise from Allah. Within this verse lies a refutation of the methodology of the Khawarij and the Mu’tazilah, who claim that the perpetrator of a major sin exits the fold of Islam. In contrast, the methodology of Ahlus-Sunnah is the truth—balanced, far removed from extremism, negligence, exaggeration (ghuloo) and transgression in the religion.

Those who avoid great sins (see the Quran, Verses: 6:152, 153) and Al-Fawahish (illegal sexual intercourse, etc.) except the small faults, verily, your Lord is of vast forgiveness. An-Najm 53:32

This verse is one of the evidences that sins are categorised as major and minor.

كَبَٰٓئِرَ ٱلۡإِثۡمِ

Major sins; refers to the various acts of disobedience which reach the level of a major sin.

Al-Fawahish is the plural of Faahishah and refers to sins that are especially abhorrent and repulsive.

His statement – the Most High – إِلَّا ٱللَّمَمَۚ (except the small faults) refers to minor sins, which are expiated through various means, including:

• Abstaining from major sins, as mentioned in the verse.

• Performing the five daily prayers.

• Enduring calamities that befall a person—such as illness, disease, grief, and the loss of loved ones.

• Even something as small as a Muslim being pricked by a thorn, as is reported in the Hadith.¹

All of these affairs expiate minor sins, this is from the favours of Allah.

Additionally, He the Most High, said in another verse in Surah ash-Shoora,

And those who avoid the greater sins, and Al-Fawahish (illegal sexual intercourse, etc.), and when they are angry, they forgive Ash-Shura 42:37

This verse is another proof that sins are distinguished as major and minor.

Children do not Forget Their Early Lessons and Advice – Shaykh Al-‘Uthaymin

Al-‘Allaamah Ibn ‘Uthaymin (رحمه الله تعالى) said:

“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“O young boy, say Bismillah, and eat with your right hand.”

Know that when manners and etiquettes are taught to a child at a young age, they are not easily forgotten. A child will not forget what you teach him while he is young. However, when he grows older, it is possible that he may forget what you taught him, or even show some resistance. But whilst he is still young, he is more likely to be responsive and accepting of what you teach him.”

Clarification regarding Tijaniyyah – By Al-Allamah Abdur Rahman Ifreeqee – Part 1

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Al-Allamah Abdur Rahman Al-Afreeqee, may Allah have mercy upon him, stated:

He (i.e. Ahmad Tijani) said in Jawaahir Al-Ma’aanee: Indeed a single utterance of ‘Salatul Faatiha’ is equal to every ‘Tasbeeh’ (i.e. to say Subhaanallaah) that takes place in the ‘kawn’ (i.e. the entire existence or universe). [Source: Jawaahir Al-Ma’aanee page: 96.طبع مطبعة التقدم العلمية الطبعة الأولى]

Response to the above claim of Ahmad Tijani:

Then Al-Allaamah Abdur Rahman stated:

I think the one who uttered this speech is not really aware who Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, is! He is not really aware of what Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was sent with and why Muhammad was sent.

Indeed the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, definitely fulfilled the trust he was entrusted with; conveyed the message and strove in the path of Allah until he passed away.  He is the seal of the Prophets and the legislation (in belief and acts of worship) he conveyed abrogates every other law until the day of judgement. There is no human being who has ever brought anything similar to what the Messenger Muhammad  brought after he left this world. Whoever claims that there is a revelation or that he has received revelation after Muhammad, then indeed this is the greatest lie against Allah.  Allah, The Most High, said:

And say not concerning that which your tongues put forth falsely: “This is lawful and this is forbidden,” so as to invent lies against Allah. Verily, those who invent lies against Allah will never prosper.  A passing brief enjoyment (will be theirs), but they will have a painful torment.’’ [An-Nahl. 116-117]

The Prophet said:
وخير ما قلت أنا والنبيون من قبلي: لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير

And the best thing said by me and the previous prophets is: ”There is no deity worthy of worship other than Allah, who is alone, having no partner. His is the dominion, and to Him belongs all praise. He is, of everything, All-Capable.”  [Silsilah As-Sahihah. Number: 1503]

Therefore, will anyone with a sound intellect affirm that a single utterance of Salatul Fatiha is better than a single Dhikr that has been transmitted from the Prophet with an authentic chain of transmission, let alone all the Adhkaar (supplications) that take place in the Kawn (i.e. the entire existence or universe)?  Do you not use your intellects?! O people! Did they [Adam, Nuh, Musaa, Eesaa and Muhammad (peace be upon them)] not used to remember Allaah? So is the innovator of this Tareeqah Tijaaniyyah better than these Prophets?

He (i.e. Ahmad Tijaani) stated in Al-Ifaadah (page: 80): ”Whoever does not believe that it (i.e. Salatul Fatihah) is from the Qur’aan will not receive a reward from it [i.e. he or she will not be rewarded for reciting Salatul Fatiha]”.

So we say: Whoever believes that (Salatul Fatiha) is from the Qur’an, then indeed he has committed clear disbelief because revelation is not sent down except to a Prophet. We do not find this (Salatul Fatiha) in the Qur’an; rather not even in a fabricated hadeeth attributed to Allah’s Messenger.  Is the one to whom ‘Salatul Fatiha’ was revealed a Prophet or a Wali?  If he is a Wali, then revelation is never sent down to a Wali.

The people in this Tijani path are two types of people: The first group: If they believe that ‘Salatul Fatiha’ is from the Qur’an, then indeed they have exited the fold of Islam. (I) The second group: If they believe that ‘Salatul Fatiha’ is not from the Qur’an, then indeed they have exited from their Tijani path because there is no reward in it. (1)

Knowledge of The Unseen – A Brief Rebuttal Against All The Extremist Sufis

Neither Do the Prophets, Messengers and Angels Possess Knowledge of Unseen nor Does Allah Reveal the Unseen to Anyone Else, Except What He Wishes to Inform the Prophets and Messengers

Allah (The Most High) said: [وَعِنْدَهُ مَفَاتِحُ الْغَيْبِ لَا يَعْلَمُهَا إِلَّا هُوَ – And with Him are the keys of the Ghaib (all that is hidden), none knows them but He].

In his explanation of the above Ayah, Imaam Ash-Shanqeetee, may Allah have mercy upon him, brought a number of robust proofs to demonstrate and establish that even the most knowledgeable amongst the creation- Allah’s Messengers and Angels-do not posses knowledge of the Unseen. The Imam, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

Proof A: Aa’isha (may Allah be pleased with her] was falsely accused and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] did not know whether she was innocent or not until Allah informed him, saying: [ أُولَٰئِكَ مُبَرَّءُونَ مِمَّا يَقُولُونَ- ‘Such (good people) are innocent of (each and every) bad statement which they say].

Proof B: Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him,  slaughtered a lamb for the angels, whilst not knowing that they were angels until they informed him that they were angels. Allah said that the angels said to him: [إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِ لُوطٍ    – We have been sent against the people of Lout (Lot). (11:70)]

Proof C: When the angels came to Prophet Lut (peace be upon him), he did not know that they were angels, and due to that Allah said: [عَصِيبٌ سِيءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًا وَقَالَ هَٰذَا يَوْمٌ – He was grieved on their account and felt himself straitened for them (lest the town people should approach them to commit lewdness with them). He said: This is a distressful day]. And because of this Allah said that lut said: [لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَىٰ رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ  – Would that I had strength (men) to overpower you, or that I could betake myself to some powerful support (to resist you). (11:80)]. He did not know the news the angels brought until they said to him: [إِنَّا رُسُلُ رَبِّكَ لَنْ يَصِلُوا إِلَيْكَ – Verily, we are the Messengers from your Lord!]

Proof D: Prophet Ya’qub, peace be upon him, lost his eye sight due to grieving for Yusuf (peace be upon him), whilst he was in Egypt.  He did not know anything about Yusuf until Allah reveal news about him.

Proof E: Prophet Sulayman (peace be upon him), even though Allah gave him authority over the devils and subjugated the wind in his service, did not know about the people Bilqees until the Hud-hud came with news about them. Allah said that the Hud-hud said: [أَحَطْتُ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهِ وَجِئْتُكَ مِنْ سَبَإٍ بِنَبَإٍ يَقِينٍ  – I have grasped (the knowledge of a thing) which you have not grasped and I have come to you from Saba’ (Sheba) with true news].

Proof F: Prophet Nuh (peace be upon him) did not know that his son – who was drowned- was not from those members of his household who were to be saved, as Allah said that Nuh said: [رَبِّ إِنَّ ابْنِي مِنْ أَهْلِي وَإِنَّ وَعْدَكَ الْحَقُّ   – O my Lord! Verily, my son is of my family! And certainly, Your Promise is true.(11:45)]

He did not know the reality of the affair until Allah informed him, saying:

[بِهِ عِلْمٌ ۖ إِنِّي أَعِظُكَ أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ قَالَ يَا نُوحُ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ ۖ إِنَّهُ عَمَلٌ غَيْرُ صَالِحٍ ۖ فَلَا تَسْأَلْنِ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ  – He said: “O Nuh (Noah)! Surely, he is not of your family; verily, his work is unrighteous, so ask not of Me that of which you have no knowledge! I admonish you, lest you be one of the ignorant].

And indeed Allah (The Most High) also stated in Surah Hud about Nuh that he said to his people: [وَلَا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِنْدِي خَزَائِنُ اللَّهِ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ الْغَيْبَ -And I do not say to you that with me are the Treasures of Allah, “Nor that I know the Ghaib (unseen)].

Proof G: And when Allah said to the Angels:  [هَٰؤُلَاءِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ أَنْبِئُونِي بِأَسْمَاءِ -Tell Me the names of these if you are truthful]; Allah said that the angels replied: [قَالُوا سُبْحَانَكَ لَا عِلْمَ لَنَا إِلَّا مَا عَلَّمْتَنَا  -They (angels) said: “Glory be to You, we have no knowledge except what you have taught us.

Therefore, it is very clear that the most knowledgeable amongst the creation, the Messengers and the Angels, do not know anything of the unseen except what Allah makes known to them. Allah (The Most High) informs His Messengers what He wishes from the knowledge of the Unseen, as Allah stated:

[وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُطْلِعَكُمْ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ يَجْتَبِي مِنْ رُسُلِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۖ- Nor will Allah disclose to you the secrets of the Ghaib (unseen), but Allah chooses of His Messengers whom He pleases].

And Allah said: [إِلَّا مَنِ ارْتَضَىٰ مِنْ رَسُولٍ  عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ فَلَا يُظْهِرُ عَلَىٰ غَيْبِهِ أَحَد- (He Alone) the All-Knower of the Gha’ib (unseen), and He reveals to none His Gha’ib (unseen).” Except to a Messenger (from mankind)…(2)

[1] Brief Acquaintance with Al-Allamah Umar Bin Muhammad Al-Fullani (or Al-Fullata)

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

The reason behind sharing this series stems from my beloved Salafi brother, close friend, and confidant, Ustaadh Abu Tasneem, Mushaf Al-Banghali, may Allah protect him, who spoke to me recently about Al-Allamah Umar Fullata, may Allah have mercy on him. I mentioned that he is from my tribe and that I had come across his name briefly in the Majmu’ah of Allamah Abdul Muhsin, may Allah preserve him. Ustaadh Abu Tasneem then informed me that Shaikh Al-Allamah Umar Fullata has beautiful and beneficial lectures available online and encouraged me to share his biography with those who may not be familiar with him. He also helped me locate a specific Risaalah by Al-Allamah Abdul Muhsin that is dedicated to Al-Allamah Umar. Some wonder or feel confused about why we mention either Ustaadh Abu Tasneem or others when discussing some benefits shared on this website. My answer to them is that we are living in a time where it is common to take credit for others’ efforts or to attempt to alter history. Therefore, when we are directed to a specific matter that we were unaware of or encouraged to engage in something commendable, it is our duty to express gratitude to those individuals rather than act as if it was solely our own doing. May Allah keep us from being among those who claim what is not theirs or those who try to rewrite history out of self-importance. If someone finds the mention of names unnecessary, we respect their viewpoint but prefer to take actions that protect our hearts from concealing the merits of others. To proceed:

Al-Allamah Abdul Muhsin Al-Abbad al-Badr, may Allah preserve him and prolong his life upon everything pleasing and beloved to Him, stated:

All praise is due to Allah; we praise Him and seek His assistance, and we ask for His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our souls and from the evil of our actions. Whomever Allah guides, there is no one to mislead him, and whomever He allows to stray, there is no guide for him. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, alone without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, His beloved and chosen one among His creation. Allah sent him as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner before the Hour, calling to Allah by His permission and as a shining lamp. He guided his nation towards all that is good and warned them against all that is evil. O Allah, send Your blessings, peace, and mercy upon him, his family, and his companions, and upon those who follow his path and are guided by his guidance until the Day of recompense. To proceed:

The speech with you, dear brothers, in this meeting is about Shaikh Umar Muhammad Fallata, may Allah have mercy on him. If this speech were taking place in another country among who are not fully acquainted with Shaikh Omar, may Allah have mercy upon him, what I say to you might have contain some benefit. However, since we are speaking about him in Madina among people who are acquainted with him, the benefit may not be particularly significant. My speech regarding Shaikh Umar, may Allah have mercy on him, will cover several matters:

Firstly: His name, birth, and upbringing.

Secondly: His creed, his call to Islam, and his methodology.

Thirdly: His teaching at the Prophet’s Mosque.

Fourthly: His administration of the Dar Al-Hikma in Madina.

Fifth: His other works outside Dar Al-Hikma, in addition to his supervision of Dar Al-Hikma.

Sixth: His number of his pilgrimages.

Seventh: How I came to know Shaikh Omar and the nature of the relationship between us.

Eighth: His characteristics and the similarities between him and his Shaikh, as well as my Shaikh, Shaikh Abdur Rahman Al-Afreeqee, may Allah have mercy on him.

Ninth: A mention of examples of his humour and anecdotes, may Allah have mercy on him.

Tenth: His passing, and his descendants.

[44] Ascent and Decline of the Ottoman Empire

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Sultan Abdul Hamid acknowledged the significance of adopting Arabic as the official language of the Ottoman Empire from the very beginning of his reign. He conveyed his appreciation for the elegance of the Arabic language and expressed regret that it had not been designated as the state language sooner. He had suggested this concept to Khayr al-Din Pasha, the Grand Vizier of Tunisia, but encountered opposition from Said Pasha, the palace’s chief secretary, who contended that Arabizing the state would undermine the prominence of the Turkish element within the empire. Saeed Pasha was a man of limited substance, and his remarks mirrored that vacuity. What relevance does the Turkish element hold in this context? The matter at hand is fundamentally different. This is one issue, while that is another. Implementing Arabic as the official language of the state would, at the very least, enhance connections with the Arab community.

Sultan Abdul Hamid II voiced concerns, especially at the beginning of his reign, regarding the varying viewpoints of his ministers and palace officials. He believed they were significantly swayed by Western ideologies and nationalist feelings, which placed pressure on the imperial court during the reigns of his father, Sultan Abdul Majid, and his uncle, Sultan Abdul Aziz, as well as during his own governance. The resistance to Sultan Abdul Hamid’s initiative to Arabize the Ottoman state was not confined to ministers influenced by the West; it also faced opposition from certain religious scholars. The Ottoman Empire committed a grave mistake by neglecting to Arabize its state and its populace in alignment with the language of the Quran and sound legislation. [43] Ascent and Decline of the Ottoman Empire

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful The Bestower of Mercy

Sultan Abdul Hamid aimed to win the loyalty of Sufi orders for the Ottoman state and to encourage the idea of Islamic unity. He effectively linked the caliphate’s center – Istanbul – with the tekkes and Sufi gathering places across the Islamic world. [Footnote a] He used the Sufi movement to promote Islamic unity and also involved ascetics outside the Sufi tradition to support the idea of Islamic congregation. In the caliphate’s capital, a main committee was created, made up of scholars and Sufi leaders, who acted as advisors to the Sultan on issues related to Islamic unity. The prominent members of the central committee of the Islamic University included Sheikh Ahmad As’ad, the representative of the Sharif in Hijaz, Sheikh Abu al-Huda al-Sayyadi, the leader of the Rifa’i order, and Sheikh Muhammad Dhafir al-Trabulsi, the head of the civil order and a distinguished scholar of the Holy Mosque in Mecca. They were joined by several other notable figures.

The Ottoman Empire set up various subordinate organizations throughout its territories, all managed by a central committee. One of these organizations was based in Mecca, overseen by the Sharif of Mecca, with the main goal of fostering Islamic unity during the Hajj season among the pilgrims. Another important organization was located in Baghdad, with a similar purpose for the followers of the Qadiri order, who often journeyed from North Africa to honor Sheikh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani, the founder of the order. In a specific year, the number of these pilgrims was estimated to be about 250,000.

The Baghdad Committee was focused on preparing individuals to promote the concept of an Islamic university and to resist French colonialism in North Africa. French intelligence characterized the actions taken by these individuals from North Africa, who had come from Baghdad, as provocations by certain religious leaders affiliated with the Qadiri order. The Central Committee of the Islamic University in Istanbul has an African branch operating in North Africa, which functions in complete secrecy. Its mission is to coordinate efforts among the religious groups in that region, resisting French occupation. The groups involved are: (Shadhili, Qadiri, and Madani). The impact and reputation of this movement were so significant that the French intelligence agency in North Africa remarked: (The Sultan Abdul Hamid, as the leader of the Islamic community, is able to coordinate a local reaction due to his strong connections with religious organizations in North Africa, which can, if needed, oppose any foreign authority.)

The French intelligence was unable to uncover the methods of the Sufi orders associated with the Islamic caliphate in North Africa. All it managed to do was attempt to undermine the authority of Sultan Abdul Hamid in the minds of the Muslims in North Africa, as well as to challenge the policy of Islamic unity. This was pursued through a French strategy that involved:

– Enticing certain Sufi leaders with financial incentives and positions to support France and its policies in North Africa.

– Preventing pilgrims from performing the Hajj, so they do not meet the advocates of the Islamic University during the appropriate occasion. This means: not officially announcing a ban on the Hajj, but rather implementing health measures to instill fear in the people, such as spreading news about the presence of cholera. Sultan Abdul Hamid sent a group of ascetics and mystics to India to work on thwarting the English attempts aimed at stripping the caliphate from the Ottomans and granting it to the Arabs. This caravan also made contact with some rulers of the Arabian Peninsula, particularly in Hijaz. There were connections between Sultan Abdul Hamid, in his capacity as the head of the Islamic University, the Caliph of Muslims, and the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, and the gatherings of Sufi orders and their leaders in Turkestan, South Africa, and China. Some of these connections have been revealed, while most remain insufficiently documented. He succeeded in uniting the Sufi orders; however, he chose to remain silent about many of their doctrinal deviations. Consequently, during that period, the Sufi orders strayed from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, except for those whom Allah had mercy upon. This deviation weakened the Ummah and contributed to the fall of the Sunni Ottoman Islamic Caliphate. [An Excerpt from Ad-Dawla Al-Uthmaniyyah Awamil An-Nuhud Wa Asbab As-Suqut 6/468-470]
