Imam Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

A single statement may be uttered by two people; one of them intends by it the greatest falsehood, while the other intends pure truth by it. What matters is the speaker’s path, conduct, and Mad’hab, what he calls to and what he argues in support of.”
