This Dawah Did Not Spread Through Videos and Images- Al-Allamah Rabee

This is Shaikh Rabee’s, may Allah have mercy upon him, response when one of the brothers requested him to deliver a lecture that would be recorded on video.

Shaikh Rabee said to him: “Why on video?!”

The brother said: “O Shaikh! So that we can spread knowledge and the daʿwah through video and images”.

So, Shaikh Rabee said: “My dear son, by Allah, indeed this daʿwah spread without videos, but indeed, it spread by Allah’s Grace, then through the Companions and those who followed them in righteousness, through the sincerity of its men, and their Jihad in support of it. And by Allah, we see (believe) that this daʿwah has indeed dwindled (diminished) since these videos and such means began to appear….
