[4] Be Vigilant Against Subtle Repackaged Shubuhaat in Some WhatsApp Groups
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.
Response to the one – in WhatsApp groups – who says about a student of knowledge: “It seems that he is the only one speaking. He should remain quiet like others”.
Al-Allamah Ahmad Bin Yahyah An-Najmi, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:
It is incumbent upon the students of knowledge – the possessors of understanding, who know the Salafi methodology and the other methodologies; it is incumbent upon them to clarify for others, to speak out, to address (people), deliver khutab, and make matters clear in every context and occasion of truth that (one) is obligated to follow the truth and (situations where one) is obligated to abandon falsehood and avoid it.
As for those who employ silence by not clarifying the truth for the people, indeed, they are not excused for their silence. Even if they say, “We are not with them (i.e. the deviated people),” they are not excused; and even if they say, “We are not with these groups that have deviated from the path of truth,” unless they denounce the misguidance that these groups are upon. Al-Allamah Zaid Bin Hadi Al-Madkhali, may Allah preserve him, said:
“The Mubtadi is the cause for the splitting because splitting is connected to Bidah and unity is connected to the Sunnah. The obligation of refuting the Mukhalif is not lifted from the scholar due to anticipation of harm unless it is harm he is not able to bear. Then (in this case), Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear. The earth is not devoid of people of knowledge who will carry out refutation against the Mubtadi and the Mukhaalif”. (2)
