Masrooq Ibn Ajda-i (rahimahullaah) said:

”In reality, a person should have secluded sittings in which he remembers his sins and then seeks Allaah’s Forgiveness.” [Tabaqaat Ibn Sad: 6/80]

From Ibraaheem Bin Muhammad Al-Muntashir (rahimahullaah) that Masrooq (rahimahullaah) said: ”There is not anything better for the believer than Allaah’s legislated boundaries of the lawful and unlawful; for indeed it is a source of peace of mind from the distress of the worldly life and a safety from the punishment of Allaah.
