Is it Permissible to Hold the Mus’haf with the Left Hand? Shaikh bin Baz

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Shaikh bin Baz رحمه الله was asked the following question: “Is it permissible to hold the mus’haf with the left hand?”

He replied, “I am not aware of anything regards to this, even though of course holding it with the right hand is better, the right is better generally, the prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم would use his right hand for arranging his hair, giving and taking, shaking hands etc; as for the left then it is for other than that [i.e. cleaning oneself after answering the call of nature etc].

If though there was a need to hold the mus’haf with the left hand [whilst reciting or otherwise] due to the right hand becoming tired, or due to a need whereby the right hand was required to pick something up or do something, or something similar to such needs, then there is no harm in holding the mus’haf in the left inshaa’ Allah. So whether he placed it in the left or right and read would be ok, however no doubt the right is better and superior as the prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم would use the right for the good affairs”.

The Audacious Claim that al-Hajoori has “Clarified”[!] Shaikh Rabee’s Statement!

Regrettably the continued act to save face does not cease from the extremists of al-Hajoori, from the most audacious of claims recently presented being that al-Hajoori has somehow “clarified” the statement of Shiakh Rabee’!

Such a claim from the extremists presents certain difficulties; it is beyond comprehension what exactly they desire to believe upon their delusion has been clarified?

What part of the statement that they have ghulluw in them, an extremism that has no equal, has been “clarified?” To this day we see the extremists of al-Hajoori continuing upon their way of the “e-mail shaikhs” by sending embarassing attempts to redeem themselves, and it would be far better from them to accept their reality and repent. To this day we hear of them “refuting” the apparent “double standards” that exist from everyone refuting them? To this day they remain upon their statement that the only salafi masjid in Manchester has engaged in “criminal” acts! Yet they may be unaware that the reign of the e-mail shaikhs is coming to an end too, since certain individuals have already blocked them and they persist in humiliating themselves by sending emails! In the end they will have no one left but a group of the foolish sending each other emails to console themselves.

Similarly which part of the statement that they wage war against the salafis has been clarified? They continue to speak against the salafi centres of the UK, Canada and elsewhere, they continue to speak against all those who have further emphasised the speech of Shaikh Rabee’ upon them….

It is humiliating and embarassing to say the least that they have the deluded audacity to claim that the statement of Shaikh Rabee’ has been “clarified”!…the clarification is simple…they are extremists and foolish.

Abandon them and their ways and focus on seeking knowledge upon the sound methodology as taught by the scholars, not upon the fanatical exaggeration of the students of al-Hajoori.

Al-Hajoori Extremists Continue to “Advise”[!] Everyone Refuting Their Shaikh and Them!

Following the recent clarity that has arisen regarding the extremism of al-Hajoori and his foolish “students”, certain fanatics continue to fly the battered flag of extremism in Manchester and elsewhere. Shaikh Rabee’ – may Allah protect him – spoke with clarity and described with precision the type of extremists they all are, thereafter multiple other respected people of knowledge provided even further clarity on the issue.

But now… The extremists have unbelievably started speaking against ALL those refuting them one by one!!

Local “email shaikhs” continue to send emails [although less frequently!] attempting to defame anyone who has now backed up the statement of Shaikh Rabee’ on al-Hajoori and his extremism!

How long will they continue? Perhaps they do not realise they are actualising the statement of Shaikh Rabee even more by their activities, truly it appears everyone else is below them and they are the only true salafis! It appears everyone refuting them and their shaikh is now on “double standards”[!].

We ask Allah to protect us from their fitnah, if they insist in continuing upon their extremism in humiliation that is their regrettable choice.

Imaam Bin Baaz Spoke about Imaam Abdur-Rahmaan As-Sadi

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) stated about Imaam Abdur-Rahmaan As-Sadi (rahimahullaah):

He used to be a person with a lot of fiqh and concern for knowledge of the correct positions in the issues (in which) the scholars held a difference of opinion with evidence. He gave great concern to the books of Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Tamiyyah and his student Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahumallaah). He used to give preference to that which was established with evidence. He used to speak very little, except if it was in that which was beneficial. I sat with him on more than one occasion in Makkah and Riyaad–his speech was little except in the affairs of knowledge. He used to be humble and well-mannered, and whoever reads his books will know of his virtue, knowledge and great concern for (seeking) after proofs. So may Allaah shower great mercy upon him.

The Islamic Groups of This Era–Al’Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Question:
Virtuous Shaikh May Allaah grant you success; some of the people ask me about the Islamic groups present in this era, what should I do—should I give them an answer or direct them to the scholars, bearing in mind that I am a teacher in one of the schools?

Answer:
Direct them to what has been transmitted in the Ahaadeeth and it is his (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) statement: ‘’This Ummah will split into seventy three sects and all of them are in the fire except one; so it was said: ‘’which one is it O Messenger of Allaah? He said: ‘’Those who are upon the likes of that which I and my companions are upon today’’. Direct them to this hadeeth, and say: Those who are upon that which the Messenger and his companions were upon—they are Ahlus Sunnah al-Jamaa-ah. Those who oppose them are the ones promised the hell-fire, (regardless) of whatever name they are called. It is not incumbent upon you (to know) their names, (rather) what is important (to know) are (their) opposition to the methodology of Ahlus Sunnah Wal-Jamaa-ah which the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) and his companions were upon. Yes.

An Excellent Trait of Al’Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him)

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

”We (i.e. some members of Ikhwaan Al-Muslimeen in Saudi) used to know of the Shaikh’s Zuhd and the little attention he gave to the lies of the liars or the slander of the slanderers; so we did not have a way of approaching him, so as to say to him: ”Such and such person says this about you;” because he did not give importance to it.”

We ask Allaah to grant us Tawfeeq to follow the footsteps of the Scholars of Ahlus Sunnah Wal-Jamaa-ah, for indeed they are the inheritors of the Prophets.

A man marries a paralyzed woman–Shaikh Muhammad Bin Haadee

Question:
A man marries a paralyzed woman, does he have an increase in virtue–for example to take care of orphans?

Answer:
If he has an intention regarding this—desiring to guard her chastity, to protect her with this and spends on her, then Allaah does not withhold reward; rather actions are judged by intentions.
