Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Madkhalee [may Allaah preserve him] said: If you are able to exercise patience and seek knowledge, then exercise patience- meaning, study before getting married, just as Umar [radiyallaahu-anhu] said that “Some people might be prevented from [seeking] knowledge due to marriage’’. So, when he gets married, he abandons seeking knowledge and becomes relaxed, and tires himself [i.e. it becomes difficult for him to combine family responsibilities and seeking knowledge at the same time]. Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [rahimahullaah] said, “Indeed, that which is stated by the astronomers about the celestial bodies, their sizes and the distance between them, and that which is said about the earth (i.e. by the geologists etc) is categorized into three affairs: [a] That which is backed by the sound knowledge-based proofs, therefore it is accepted. [b] That which the knowledge-based proofs declares to be false, therefore it is rejected. [c] That which there is no proof to either accept or reject, therefore it is unproven until a person from the people of knowledge (i.e. upright people of knowledge scholars) examine it show whether it should be accepted or rejected. As for accepting it without investigation and observation, but merely accepting it by blindly following them (i.e. the astronomers, geologists etc), then this is impermissible because of the numerous mistakes that occur as a result of that and speaking -without knowledge – about Allaah and that which He has created [i.e. the entire universe and all that is within it]. [Ref 1]
Imaam Muhammad Bin Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [rahimahullaah] said, “We do not say, ‘We do not give consideration to anything stated by the people in the subject matter regarding medicine, astronomy and the celestial bodies’, however, we do not accept everything they say. If what they say opposes the Book and the Sunnah, then indeed we do not accept their statements. We take [i.e. believe and affirm without any doubt] that which is conveyed in the Book and the Sunnah, and we say, ‘An era will come in which the people will bear witness to the falsity of those statements of theirs – at present – that are in opposition to the Book and Sunnah and (bear witness) to the soundness of that which has been conveyed in the Book and the Sunnah. The Origin of Our Father [Aadam] And The Stages of Our Existence In The Wombs – Prior to Our Non-Existence – Is Clear Evidence Regarding The Resurrection

Allaah [The Exalted] said:
وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٍ۬ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطۡفَةٍ۬ ثُمَّ جَعَلَكُمۡ أَزۡوَٲجً۬اۚ وَمَا تَحۡمِلُ مِنۡ أُنثَىٰ وَلَا تَضَعُ إِلَّا بِعِلۡمِهِۚۦ وَمَا يُعَمَّرُ مِن مُّعَمَّرٍ۬ وَلَا يُنقَصُ مِنۡ عُمُرِهِۦۤ إِلَّا فِى كِتَـٰبٍۚ إِنَّ ذَٲلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ۬
And Allah did create you (Adam) from dust, then from Nutfah (male and female discharge semen drops i.e. Adam’s offspring), then He made you pairs. And no female conceives or gives birth, but with His Knowledge. And no aged man is granted a length of life, nor is a part cut off from his life, but is in a Book (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz) Surely, that is easy for Allah. [Surah Al-Faatir. Aayah 11]
Allah [The Exalted] mentions the manner in which He created the human being and made him go through these stages- from dust (i.e. Aadam), then a drop of semen (i.e. all other people created from semen) and the other stages thereafter. [ثُمَّ جَعَلَكُمۡ أَزۡوَٲجً۬اۚ – Then He made you pairs]- Meaning, Allaah continued alternating you from one stage to another until He made you into male and female- males marrying females. And the intent behind marriage is to have offspring and children, however even though marriage is one of the means of having children, but it is attached to Allaah’s decree and knowledge. [وَمَا تَحۡمِلُ مِنۡ أُنثَىٰ وَلَا تَضَعُ إِلَّا بِعِلۡمِهِۚۦ – And no female conceives or gives birth, but with His knowledge]-Meaning, all the stages of life of the human being is confined within Allaah’s Knowledge and decree. [وَمَا يُعَمَّرُ مِن مُّعَمَّرٍ۬ وَلَا يُنقَصُ مِنۡ عُمُرِهِۦۤ إِلَّا فِى كِتَـٰبٍۚ – And no aged man is granted a length of life, nor is a part cut off from his life, but is in a Book (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz)]- Meaning, none lives a long life except that the affair is confined within Allaah’s Knowledge or no person’s life is shortened except due to doing that which shortened it. What is meant is that a long or short life, whether due to cause or not, then all of that is confined within Allaah’s knowledge and recorded in the book [Al-Lauh Al-Mhfuz] that includes everything that will happen to a person- at all times and throughout his life. [إِنَّ ذَٲلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ۬ – Surely, that is easy for Allah]- Meaning, Allaah’s knowledge encompasses all this numerous information and His register encompasses all of it.
These three proofs are from the proofs regarding the resurrection and they are all intellectual (rational) proofs, which Allaah notified us in these Aayaat, namely: revival of the earth after its death- the one who gives life to the earth will give life to the dead [Aayah 9] and the alternation of the human being in different stages [Aayah 11]. The One [Allaah] Who brought the human being into existence – from one stage to the other, one state to another until he reached the stage that is decreed for him- is more able to return him to the same state and raise him again, and that is easy for Allaah. Allaah’s knowledge encompasses all aspects of knowledge in the heavens and in the earth- small and big, in the hearts, regarding the foetuses that are in the wombs, the increase and decrease in the lifespans and the recording of all of that in the Al-lauh al-Mahfooz. The one whose description is as such, then returning the person back to life is easier. So blessed be Allaah, the one whose good is abundant and He notified his slaves about that which carries wellbeing and uprightness for them in their worldly life and afterlife.

You Turn Away Instead of Submitting to The One Who Created And Provided For You!

Reflection On Surah Al-Faatir
Allaah [The Exalted] said:
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ ۚ هَلْ مِنْ خَالِقٍ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ يَرْزُقُكُم مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ
وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌ مِّن قَبْلِكَ ۚ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الْأُمُورُ
O mankind! Remember the Grace of Allah upon you! Is there any creator other than Allah who provides for you from the sky (rain) and the earth? La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). How then are you turning away (from Him)? And if they belie you (O Muhammad), so were Messengers belied before you. And to Allah return all matters (for decision). [Surah Al-Faatir. 3-4]
Allaah [The Exalted] commanded all mankind remember His blessings bestowed on them by acknowledging that in their hearts, praising Him for these blessings with their tongues and submitting themselves to Him [by doing what He has commanded and keeping away from what He has forbidden]. That is because remembering the blessings of Allaah leads one to be grateful to Him.
Then Allaah notified them of the foundation of these blessings which is the fact that He created and provided. Allaah said: [هَلْ مِنْ خَالِقٍ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ يَرْزُقُكُم مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ – Is there any creator other than Allah who provides for you from the sky (rain) and the earth?] – Meaning, when it is well-known that there is none who created and provided besides Allaah, then this proof regarding the fact that He alone is the one with perfect names and attributes which makes Him the only one who has the right to be worshipped and everyone (everything) is a slave of His, and this why He said:
[ ۚ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ- Laa ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), how then are you turning away (from Him)?] – Meaning, do you turn away from worshipping the Creator, The All-Provider, and instead worship the created things that are provided for?!
[وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ- If they belie you] – Meaning, O Messenger! If they belie you, then this is an example of that which happened to the Messengers before you. [ فَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌ مِّن قَبْلِكَ- so were Messengers belied before you]; so Allaah destroyed those who belied and saved the Messengers and their followers. [وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الْأُمُورُ – And to Allah return all matters (for decision)].
An Excerpt from Tafseer As-Sadi. Slightly paraphrased
Bestow On Us From Our Wives and Our Offspring Who Will Be The Comfort of Our Eyes
In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.
Saeed Ibn Mansoor said, “Hazm reported to us, saying, ‘I heard katheer Ibn Ziyaad asking Al-Hasan about the statement of Allaah (The Most High): رَبَّنَا هَبۡ لَنَا مِنۡ أَزۡوَٲجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعۡيُنٍ۬- Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes’, saying, ‘O Abu Saeed! What is this comfort of the eyes; is it in this worldly life or the afterlife?’ He (Al-Hasan) said, ‘No, rather- by Allaah- it is in this world’. He (katheer) said, ‘What is it?’ He (Al-Hasan) said, ‘By Allaah it is (when) Allaah makes it possible for a person to see (deeds) of obedience to Allaah from his wife, brother and close friend. By Allaah there is nothing more beloved to a Muslim than seeing his (or her) child, father or a close friend being obedient to Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic].

Some Characteristics And Favours Bestowed On a Blessed Person

Allaah [The Most High] stated that Isa [alayhis-salaam] said:
وَجَعَلَنِي مُبَارَكًا أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُ
“And He [i.e. Allaah] has made me [i.e. Isa] blessed wheresoever I be…”
[Soorah Maryam Ayah: 31]
A person cannot be blessed wheresoever he is, except when he is righteous and rectifying affairs in all his gatherings, and neither evil nor corruption is (present) in that. Good words, good speech, fine admonition and beneficial affairs are heard from him in every gathering of his. Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] said, “A person cannot be blessed wheresoever he is, except when he is of benefit to the people in every sitting of his with the people. This also applies to the person being blessed in his wealth, his provisions, his actions, his household, his state of affairs and happiness”.

Supplication-[Believers Amongst The Children of Israel Asked Allaah to Save Them From Trial of The Oppressive and Disbelieving Folk]

Allaah [The Most High] said:
وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ يَـٰقَوۡمِ إِن كُنتُمۡ ءَامَنتُم بِٱللَّهِ فَعَلَيۡهِ تَوَكَّلُوٓاْ إِن كُنتُم مُّسۡلِمِينَ
فَقَالُواْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ تَوَكَّلۡنَا رَبَّنَا لَا تَجۡعَلۡنَا فِتۡنَةً۬ لِّلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
وَنَجِّنَا بِرَحۡمَتِكَ مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِينَ
And Musa (Moses) said: “O my people! If you have believed in Allah, then put your trust in Him if you are Muslims (those who submit to Allah’s Will).” They said: “In Allah we put our trust. Our Lord! Make us not a trial for the folk who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoing). And save us by Your Mercy from the disbelieving folk.”
[Surah Yunus. Aayah 84-86]
In these Aayaat, Allaah [Glorified be He and free is He from all imperfections] informed us about His Prophet Moosaa [alayhis salaam]- that he commanded his people – Bani Israaeel- to place their trust in Allaah whilst facing their enemies, Fir’awn and his people; so Moosaa’s people – the Believers- fulfilled the command and then they said: [عَلَى ٱللَّهِ تَوَكَّلۡنَا – In Allah we put our trust]- Meaning: We hold firmly to Allah, surrender to Him all our affairs and upon Him we depend. Then they supplicated, saying: [رَبَّنَا لَا تَجۡعَلۡنَا فِتۡنَةً۬ لِّلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ – Our Lord! Make us not a trial for the folk who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoing)]. There are two statements of the Mufassiroon regarding the meaning of this Aayah, and the first one is that it means, “Neither allow them to defeat nor overcome us, and thus they think that they have the upper hand because they are upon truth and we are upon falsehood; so they become deceived and this increases them in transgression and disbelief”.
The other explanation is that this Aayah means, “Neither punish us Yourself [O Allaah] nor through the hands of Fir’awn and his people, lest they say, ‘Had it been that you [Bani Israaeel] were upon truth, then you would not have been punished’, and thus they think that they are better than us and are put to trial by way of that. [وَنَجِّنَا بِرَحۡمَتِكَ مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِينَ – And save us by Your Mercy from the disbelieving folk]- Meaning: “Our Lord! Save us – by Your mercy – from unbelievers, so that we are safe from their evil, establish our religion properly, establish its acts of worship and manifest it without being opposed or challenged.
Some of the Mufassiroon indicated that the mention of At-Tawakkul before the mention of Ad-Du’aa [supplication] is a notification regarding the fact that it is obligated on the suppliant to place his trust in Allaah first and foremost, so that his supplication is answered. This is similar to that which Imaam Muslim [rahimahullaah] reported from Ibn Abbaas [radiyallaahu-anhumaa] that Allaah’s Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] used to say:
اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْتُ وَبِكَ خَاصَمْتُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّتِكَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ أَنْ تُضِلَّنِي أَنْتَ الْحَىُّ الَّذِي لاَ يَمُوتُ وَالْجِنُّ وَالإِنْسُ يَمُوتُونَ
O Allaah! To You I submit; in You I believe; in You I place my trust and reliance; to You I turn in repentance and in obedience with true Faith (Islamic Monotheism), and to You I return for proof to deal with my enemies and Your enemies. O Allaah! I seek refuge in Your Might and Power, none has the right to be worshipped except You, lest You allow me to go astray [i.e. due to my own fault]. You are The Ever-Living that never die, while the Jinn and mankind die”.

Who Should Be In a Constant State of Fear, Rather Than Always Desperately Seeking to Frighten Believers?!

Allaah [The Exalted] said that Prophet Ibraaheem [alayhis salaam] said to his people:
وَڪَيۡفَ أَخَافُ مَآ أَشۡرَڪۡتُمۡ وَلَا تَخَافُونَ أَنَّكُمۡ أَشۡرَكۡتُم بِٱللَّهِ مَا لَمۡ يُنَزِّلۡ بِهِۦ عَلَيۡڪُمۡ سُلۡطَـٰنً۬اۚ فَأَىُّ ٱلۡفَرِيقَيۡنِ أَحَقُّ بِٱلۡأَمۡنِۖ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ
And how should I fear those whom you associate in worship with Allah (though they can neither benefit nor harm), while you fear not that you have joined in worship with Allah things for which He has not sent down to you any authority. (So) which of the two parties has more right to be in security? If you but know.” It is those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah and worship none but Him Alone) and confuse not their belief with Zulm (wrong i.e. by worshipping others besides Allah), for them (only) there is security and they are the guided. [Surah Al-An’aam. Aayaat 81-82]
Meaning: How can this be justified by way of sound intellect or to the one with sound understanding that one fears what you ascribe as partners to Allaah, even though neither can it benefit nor harm, but you do not fear that you have ascribed things as partners to Allaah for which Allaah has neither sent down any proof nor legislated it?!
The person who sets up a deity that has not created anything as a partner to Allaah, [(The Lord and owner of everything, the owner of all the means and causes of harm and benefit); rather such a deity is created, neither can it benefit nor harm itself and those who worship it, neither can it give life nor death, nor raise the dead], prostates to it, humbles himself to it and devoted to it, then this person is more worthy of fearing (evil consequences and destruction) than the one who has not ascribed another deity as a partner to Allaah, but rather he declares that Allaah is one – the only true deity, the one with absolute Lordship, the only one who possesses perfect greatness and authority, the only deity that deserves to be loved, feared and direct one’s hope to. [Ref 1]
[وَڪَيۡفَ أَخَافُ مَآ أَشۡرَڪۡتُمۡ – Why should I fear that which you ascribe as partners to [Allaah]? – Meaning, when its state is that of inability and cannot benefit;[وَلَا تَخَافُونَ أَنَّكُمۡ أَشۡرَكۡتُم بِٱللَّهِ مَا لَمۡ يُنَزِّلۡ بِهِۦ عَلَيۡڪُمۡ سُلۡطَـٰنً۬اۚ – whilst you do not fear ascribing partners to Allah for which He has not sent down to you any authority], meaning, you do so solely due to following desires!
[فَأَىُّ ٱلۡفَرِيقَيۡنِ أَحَقُّ بِٱلۡأَمۡنِۖ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ – (So) which of the two parties has more right to be in security? If you but know?]
Then differentiated the two parties and stated: [ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَلَمۡ يَلۡبِسُوٓاْ إِيمَـٰنَهُم بِظُلۡمٍ أُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ لَهُمُ ٱلۡأَمۡنُ وَهُم مُّهۡتَدُونَ – It is those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah and worship none but Him Alone) and confuse not their belief with Zulm (wrong i.e. by worshipping others besides Allah), for them (only) there is security and they are the guided] -Meaning, safe from fear, punishment and misery, and they will be guided to the straight path. Comment on the above: Music is a major sin in the sight of the Creator; however none is allowed to take the law into his own hands. Secondly, even if the Muslim authorities sought to arrest those who were playing music, the penalty for such a deed is not capital punishment, so how about one who takes the law into his own hands and commits murder in the name of enjoining good and forbidding evil. This is what occurs when an ignoramus seeks to enjoin good and forbid evil in the name of Islam and thus not only cause more harm than good, rather he transgresses the limits and commits a greater sin, because murder is a greater sin and crime than music.

Muslims- 2005 7 July: Carried out by four suicide bombers, which targeted civilians using the public transport system during the morning rush hour. Three bombs were detonated on three separate trains on the London Underground and one on a double-decker bus. As well as the suicide bombers, 52 other people were killed and around 700 more were injured.

Muslims: 2007, 30 June: Two people drove a jeep Cherokee loaded with propane canisters into the glass doors of the Glasgow Airport terminal, setting it ablaze. Five people were injured and the only death was of one of the perpetrators, who later died in hospital from his injuries.
Non-Muslim- Nov 2015: Robert Lewis Dear: Colorado Springs police lieutenant Catherine Buckley said on Friday it was too early to determine the suspect’s motive. “We don’t have any information on this individual’s mentality, or his ideas or ideology,” she said. However, on Saturday news reports said Dear had reportedly said “no more baby parts” while he was being arrested, citing unnamed law enforcement sources. Planned Parenthood has been at the centre of political controversy over videos released by an anti-abortion group which purport to show employees discussing the sale of fetal tissue. According to Israeli police, the Concerned Christians were one of several independent groups who believed the mosque must be destroyed to facilitate the return of Jesus Christ and that the operation was bring about the Apocalypse. 2012 Al-Aqsa Mosque (Arabic: المسجد الاقصى, “the farthest mosque”), also known as the Al-Aqsa, is an Islamic holy site in the Old City of Jerusalem. In the mosque itself is part of the Al-Haram ash-Sharif or “Sacred Noble Sanctuary” (along with the Dome of the Rock), a site also known as the Temple Mount and the holiest site in Judaism, as it is believed to be a temple where Jerusalem once stood. Non-Muslims: The Jewish Defense League (JDL) is a Jewish religious-political organization in the United States, whose stated goal is to “protect Jews from antisemitism by whatever means necessary”. It is classified as “a right wing terrorist group” by the FBI since 2001, and has been designated a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.[3] According to the FBI, the JDL has been involved in plotting and executing acts of terrorism within the United States.
Kach, Kahane Chai (Israel, extremists): Kach is a hard-line Israeli militant group that advocates for the expulsion of Arabs from the biblical lands of Israel. The U.S. State Department listed it as a terrorist organization in 1994. Kach, as well as the splinter group Kahane Chai, condones violence as a viable method for establishing a religiously homogenous state. The group has not staged a large terrorist attack since 1994, although people affiliated with the groups have been arrested for “low-level attacks” since 2000, according to the State Department’s 2006 Country Report. In 2006 a U.S. Federal Court upheld that Kach was rightly listed as a terrorist organization in an appeal.

Muslims: 2017, 3 June: London Bridge attack: Three people drove a van into pedestrians on London Bridge before stabbing people in and around pubs in nearby Borough Market. Eight people were killed and at least 48 wounded.
Non-Muslims: The Eastern Lightning Church: The group preaches that Christ has been reincarnated as a woman from central China, and that the righteous are engaged in an apocalyptic struggle against China’s Communist Party — which they refer to as the “great red dragon.” Linked to kidnappings, violence and extortion, the group has been listed among 14 banned religious groups by China’s Ministry of Public Security since 1995.

Two died inside the church: a 60-year-old woman who was “virtually beheaded”, and a 55-year-old man whose throat was cut. The male victim was a lay member of staff responsible for the upkeep of the church. He reportedly had a wife and two children. Another woman, aged 44, managed to flee to a nearby cafe after being stabbed several times, but died later.

Boko Haram kidnaps 40 loggers and kills three in north-east Nigeria
A group of more than 40 loggers left Shehuri on the outskirts of Gamboru on Thursday and never returned by evening as usual,” said militia leader Umar Kachalla, who was involved in the search. “On Friday we mobilised men and went deep into the forest where we recovered three bodies identified to be among the loggers, without a trace of their colleagues.”
The missing loggers were presumed kidnapped by the jihadists, who are known to maintain camps in the forest, said Kachalla, a view widely shared in the area.
“We believe the men were taken by Boko Haram who have been attacking loggers in the forest,” said another militia member, Shehu Mada. “From all indication the three dead loggers were shot when they tried to escape as they all were shot from behind.”

A child was also hospitalized following the attack. “There is evidence that this was a planned, premeditated act, motivated by hate. It is believed that these victims were targeted because they were Muslim,” Detective Superintendent Paul Waight told a news conference.
