Acts of obedience; a cause of increase in imaan – Shaykh Ibn Uthaimeen

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaimeen said:
Among the causes that bring about an increase in imaan is performing acts of obedience in order to draw closer to Allah The Most High. For indeed imaan then increases by it, in accordance to the excellence of the deed, it’s type and the amount performed. Hence, the better a deed is performed, the greater will be the increase of imaan.
The excellence of a deed is by the ikhlaas [sincerity] and mutaaba’ah [being in agreement with the Sunnah] that it has.
As for the type of deed performed, then indeed obligatory deeds are superior than voluntary ones. Likewise, some acts of obedience are emphasised more than others. Whenever an act of obedience is superior, the resulting increase of imaan will thus be greater.

Greater need for humility of the heart than of the limbs – Shaykh Ibn Uthaimeen

Shaikh Ibn ‘Uthaimeen said:
Humility of the heart is in greater need of being observed than humility of the limbs. That is because the one who has awe of Allah in his heart is [consequently] more observant of Allah The Mighty and Majestic and of His rights.
Hence, it is necessary for humility of the heart to be paid attention to more than humility of the limbs.It is possible for any individual to practise humility of the limbs, even inside his house. Everyone is able to stand praying motionlessly [out of apparent humility], however having a heart that is heedless. Therefore, it [the heart] is the basis. It is that that requires a person to pay attention to, taking constant and absolute care of it.

Al-Maktabah As-Salafiyyah Has Done Nothing Wrong To Brother Tahir Wyatt, Rather He Brought Blame on Himself Due To His Actions and Companionship

Indeed, the affair of Tahir Wyatt (may Allaah rectify his affair) is easy to understand. If I am told that brother Tahir has received praises from such and such Shaikh, I will reply saying: Tahir Wyatt’s actions are proof of what he is guilty of. So let us look at some insightful statements of Shaikh Ubaid (may Allaah preserve him):

Therefore, it is incumbent upon you that when the state of that person is made clear–the one whose fame is widespread–then you should be cautious of him as long as he was warned against by those people of knowledge and Imaan who are upon the Sunnah; for indeed they will unveil his affair with evidences. And there is no hindrance in unveiling the state of that person who has been warned against by a scholar or scholars with the appropriate etiquettes and in a good manner because that scholar will say to you: “I saw this and that in him, and I saw this and that in the book of such and such, or I heard this or that in the cassette of such and such.” [End of quote]
So what is the affair that is manifest about brother Tahir?
Firstly, brother Tahir is an associate of Madeenah.com
Abu Hurairah (radiyallaahu-anhu) said, the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said: ”A person is upon the religion of his friend, so let each one of you look at whom he befriends.” [As-Saheehah: 97]
And amongst the associates of brother Tahir at Madeenah.com is Naveed Ayaaz- the shameless and obstinate shelterer of the staunch followers of Al-Maribi, Al-Halabi and Al-Maghraawi at Masjid As-Sunnah [Cheethamhill-Manchester]. Naveed openly accompanies the staunch followers of these innovators at Masjid As-Sunnah as well as promote the compulsive liar and man of Bidah Abu Usaamah. Likewise, Naveed associates himself with Greenlane’s Admin -the affiliates of Ihyaa Turaath, Yasir Qadhi, Abu Usaamah, Kamaal Mekki etc. This is Naveed’s companionship, an associate of Tahir Whytt at Madeenah.com. And just as Naveed finds excuses for his companions and attacks the Salafiyyoon of Nelson and Manchester, likewise Tahir Whytt is guilty of a similar crime from another angle, as Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadi (may Allaah preserve him) stated:

Finally: We remind ourselves of this hadeeth once again-Narrated Aisha (radiyallaahu-anhaa): I heard the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) saying, ‘’Souls are like recruited troops; those who are of like qualities are inclined to each other, but those who have dissimilar qualities differ.’’ [Saheeh Bukhaari Vol 4. Hadeeth Number 3336. Darusallam]
Al-Haafidh Ibn Hajar (rahimahullaah) stated one of the meanings of this hadeeth in Fat-hul Baari that Al-Khattaabi (rahimahullaah) said: This may indicate to mean similarity in good and evil, righteousness or corruption– the good one amongst the people is inclined towards one similar to him, and the evil one is similarly inclined towards the one similar to him. Souls have an affinity with others in accordance with the nature in which they were created, good or evil. They will agree if their natures are similar, otherwise they will be at loggerheads… [See Fat-hul Baari for further details]
Tahir Whytt’s associate at Madeenah.com (Naveed Ayaaz) refuse to take a stance against al-Maribi, rather he even defends the staunch followers of Al-Maribi and attack the Salafiyyoon. Likewise, Tahir refuses to take a stance but finds it easy to criticise, just as Shaikh Rabee (may Allaah preserve him) has stated.
As for the brothers at Al-Maktabah as-Salafiyyah, their companionship is well known in the UK, America, Canada and elsewhere. They are neither with the innovators Al-Maribi, Al-Halabi, Al-Maghraawi nor are they associated with any Markaz (or organization) that promotes these people, nor are they associated with any individual who promotes them. Therefore, the affair is very clear.
We ask Allaah for Sidq, Thabaat, Ikhlaas and Husnul Khaatimah. Aameen

The verdict of the scholars against Abul Hasan Al-Maribi
Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him) said:
Abandon this man (i.e. Abul Hasan) and call to the methodology of Ahlus Sunnah wal-Jamaa-ah.” [Source: Siyaanatus-salafi Min Waswasati Wa-Talbeesaat Ali Al-Halabi: 533]
Al-Allaamah Abdullaah Al-Ghudayaan (rahimahullaah) said:
”This man (i.e. Abul Hasan al-Maribi) is subjected to trials and tribulations, (he is) insignificant and foolish.” [Source: Siyaanatus salafi: page: 533]
Al-Allaamah Bin Yahyah An-Najmi (rahimahullaah) said:
”Indeed, it has been finally established with me that Abul Hasan is a Mubtadi (innova-tor).” [Source: Siyaanatus-salafi: page: 533]
Imaam Muqbil Bin Haadee Al-Waadi-ee (rahimahullaah) said:
”Be cautious of Abul Hasan….I fear for the Dawah with regards to Abul Hasan.” He (rahimahullaah) also said: ”Abul Hasan is sly. He utilises cleverness and not what is from righteousness, purity and uprightness…..” [Source: Siyaanatus Salafi page: 533]
Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Hadee al-Madkhalee (may Allaah preserve him) said:
”The initial affair with regards to them (i.e. Al-Abul Hasan al-Maribi, Muhammad Hassaan and Abu Ishaaq Al-Huwayni) is that they are ikhwaanees, upon the nurturing of the ikhwaanees.” [Source: Siyaanah: page:534]
Shaikh Muhammad Bin Haadee (may Allaah preserve him) said:
”Indeed, many of the Salafi brothers are aware of the condition of this man (i.e. Abul Hasan Al-Maribi); rather at present he is with the groups of illegal partisanship, and he says, he says and he says of that which is recorded in his cassettes. And he used to reject these (affairs) the day before, but today he came with them with his own tongue. We ask Allaah for wellbeing and safety. He now speaks with the affairs he used to reject from the callers to illegal partisanship the day before….until the Shaikh said: ‘’I know him (i.e. Abul Hasan), he does not feel ashamed of telling lies.” [Source: Siyaanatus salafi: page: 535]
Al-Allaamah Ubaid Bin Abdillaah Al-Jaabiriy (may Allaah preserve him) said:

Muhammad Al-Maaliki! You advised your listeners at Brixton to refer to Ali Al-Halabi!

In a speech of Muhammad Al-Maaliki at Brixton, he advised his listeners to refer to Ali Halabi and others regarding Brixton’s Affair! So if this view of his was uttered before Ali Al-Halabi innovated and deviated, then what is his stance regarding Ali Al-Halabi at present? That is because a man with fifty years of knowledge should not be oblivious of the stances of the Salafees against those who are well known for their bidah and misguidance, such as Ali Al-Halabi and others.
But if this statement (i.e. directing listeners to Ali Al-Halabi) of his was uttered after the verdict of the scholars against Ali Al-Halabi, then we do not expect any answer from Muhammad Al-Maaliki; rather he has already proven to be a reckless defender of the staunch UK followers of the innovators Al-Maribi and Al-Halabi. Sitting in the presence of a Hizbi Masjid Admin at Masjid As-Sunnah, Muhammad Al-Maaliki did announce his willingness to slander, peppering a 27min defense with their acknowledgement and a call to sabotage most of what the Salafiyyoon established by way of sound manhaj stances against the staunch UK followers of Al-Maribi at Masjid As-Sunnah since 2003.
So instead of adopting the sound manhaj positions, Muhammad Al-Maaliki, to this day, is one who stands un apologetically with the followers of Al-Maribi and Al-Halabi at Masjid As-Sunnah and Brixton.

Muhammad Al-Maaliki- You Included Shaikh Muhammad Bin Haadi in a Statement of yours at Brixton, So Be Honest And Clarify!

Allaah (The Most High) stated:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُونُوا قَوَّامِينَ بِالْقِسْطِ شُهَدَاءَ لِلَّهِ وَلَوْ عَلَىٰ أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَوِ الْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالْأَقْرَبِينَ ۚ إِنْ يَكُنْ غَنِيًّا أَوْ فَقِيرًا فَاللَّهُ أَوْلَىٰ بِهِمَا ۖ فَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا الْهَوَىٰ أَنْ تَعْدِلُوا ۚ وَإِنْ تَلْوُوا أَوْ تُعْرِضُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرًا
‘’O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah; even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allah is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you may avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do.” [4:135]
Indeed, one of Muhammad Al-Maaliki’s blameworthy ways in the UK is that he seeks to slander and silence those brothers in the UK Maraakiz, who criticize the staunch UK followers of the obstinate Mubtadi’ah, Al-Maribi, Al-Halabi and Al-Magraawi. So when asked about those who question Brixton’s Salafiyyah, he responded saying that such people are fame seekers and that one should ask the scholars who visit the Uk, Shaikh Muhammad Bin Haadi included.
Muhammad Al-Maaliki utters slander once again! Firstly: Those who question Brixton’s Salafiyyah do so based on the fact that Brixton’s Admin staunchly defends the Murji Mubtadi Ali Al-Halabi. But Muhammad Al-Maaliki has nothing else to offer as a valid defence other than slanders. There is no doubt that his visits to the UK and blameworthy companionship has gradually established him as one of those in that ‘defense of the indefensible’ racket.
Some brothers are still been castigated for speaking the truth-the likes of Ustaadh Abu Khadeejah, Ustaadh Abu Hakeem and others (may Allaah preserve them) have stood firm and manifested the truth despite being attacked and vilified. But Muhammad Al-Maaliki deliberately ignores the fact that his defense of the indefensible is a spectacular mistake. He deliberately ignores the fact that it is impossible to encourage the staunch UK followers of Al-Maribi, Al-Halabi, Al-Maghraawi to ignore criticisms directed against them, whilst they staunchly defend innovators.
Likewise, Brother Muhammad is infuriated by the fact that he has been unable to provide proofs for his slanders against Al-Markazus Salafi, yet he still claims to be upon the truth. Some brothers believe that Brother Muhammad is sleepwalking towards Tamyi; but even this sleepwalking towards Tamyi should be a stark warning. It is very disturbing that a man claiming fifty years of knowledge and companionship with the scholars has refused to acknowledge reality, even after the scholars have transmitted unambiguous knowledge based proofs against the innovators Al-Halabi, Al-Maribi, Al-Maghraawi and their staunch followers. On the other hand, he is quick to attack and vilify Al-Markazus Salafi for transmitting the knowledge based refutations against the staunch UK followers of these Mubtadi’ah. Likewise, he is not willing to be reminded of the fact that he must bear personal responsibility for sheltering these people, arguing on their behalf based on falsehood and slandering Al-Markazus Salafi?! This is a looming danger that Muhammad is steadily shrinking in on himself-trapping himself behind the staunch UK followers of Maribi, Halabi, Al-Maghraawi and the fallen Jamiat Ahle Hadeeth. His lack of clarity in this affair is echoed in the centres he visits in the UK, whilst he seeks to prevent us from speaking the truth.
So Muhammad Al-Maaliki is asked a simple question: Does he follow the evidences against Brixton?! That is because when he was asked about those who criticize Brixton, he said that we should ask the scholars who come to the UK, including Shaikh Muhammad bin Haadi (may Allaah preserve him). Therefore, if this statement of Muhammad Al-Maaliki was uttered before Shaikh Muhammad Bin Haadi manifested Brixton’s blatant dishonesty, then what is Muhammad’s stance towards Brixton at present?! Likewise, this is the same question we asked him concerning Yahyah Al-Hajoori after he praised him, and it has become manifest that Al-Hajoori is a Haddaadi Mubtadi. But if this statement was uttered after Shaikh Muhammad Bin Haadi manifested Brixton’s dishonesty, then we do not expect an explanation from Muhammad Al-Maaliki, rather we remind him of the statement of Allaah (The Most High):

Shaikh Muhammad Bin Haadi on Brixton
Shaikh Muhammad Bin Haadi (may Allaah preserve him) stated:
And we hope those errors that have occurred from them (i.e. the brothers at Masjid Ar-Rahmah) will not be repeated by our brothers. This is my advice, and if the errors are repeated, then then it will be hurtful and they will be considered to be blameworthy. And then the end result for these brothers at Masjid Rahmah will be like the end result of that which occurred with those of Brixton Masjid in London! That they ended up with Abul-Hasan, Ali Hasan and those types of people, that which occurred with Abdul-Haqq Baker and whoever was with him such as Abu Haajir and others. They came to me here many times, and I would advise them. And what became apparent is that they are not truthful (laysoo saadiqeen)! These people from Brixton Masjid would sit with me and listen and say “yes” and then go and do the opposite! But this in reality did not harm except themselves! So I advise you with the same that you are truthful, outwardly and inwardly. And in this world you will be treated based upon your outward deeds. So I advise you not to be like these people at the Brixton Markaz for they are NOT truthful people (ghayr saadiqeen), for indeed they would come to me many times and often. I would try to rectify the affairs between them and the brothers in Birmingham (UK) at Salafi Publications. So whatever they (Brixton Masjid) would agree to in these sittings to adhere to, they would exit and abandon all that they agreed to. So I advise you to be truthful upon the correctness and be earnest.

Saudi Arabia (The Land of Tawheed)-A Thorn In the throats of the people of Nifaaq and Shiqaaq
Question to Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him)
What is your advice to the one who says that this dawlah (state) wages a war against the religion and causes repression against the duat (callers)?
Answer: The Saudi state ever since it began has always aided the religion and its adherents. And it was not founded except upon this basis. And whatever it does at the moment in spending material wealth to support Muslims in every place, setting up centres and mosques, sending duat (to other countries), printing books at the forefront of which is the Noble Quran -, opening centres of learning and faculties of knowledge, and its judging by the Islamic Shariah (Tahkeemuhaa lish-Shareeat il-Islaamiyyah), and also setting up a separate body for enjoining the good and forbidding the evil in every city then all of this is a clear and evident proof of its aid to Islam and its adherents. And this is thorn (shajiyyun, lit. grievance, distress) in the throats of the people of hypocrisy (Ahl un-Nifaq) and the people of evil and dissension (Shiqaq). And Allaah is the Aider of His religion even if the pagans and the biased partisans may detest it.
And we do not say that this state is perfect from every single aspect and that it does not have any mistakes. Mistakes occur by every single person and we ask Allaah that he helps this state in correcting its mistakes.
But if this person (who makes such a claim) was to look at his own self, he would find mistakes that would prevent his tongue from speaking about others and make him feel ashamed of looking at others.
[Comments: So does Shaikh Salih al-Fawzan agree with the Surooriyyah, Khawarij of the Era in their unrestricted Takfir of the hukkam and Muslim states? And does he portray to the masses that the state is apostate because judgement by the Shariah is not to be found there, or because it is not the sole reference point, or that it is being replaced? Rather, his way and methodology is at odds with that of the newly-arisen foolish-minded whose methodology brings about Marxist type revolutions, great upheavals, the shedding of the blood of the innocent and the confiscation of their wealth!! And these words of Shaikh Salih al-Fawzan constitute a “thorn in the throats of the people of hypocrisy (Ahl un-Nifaq) and the people of evil and dissension (Shiqaq)”!! ]
Question: Respected Shaikh, yourself and the your brothers who are Ulamaa in this country are Salafis and all praise is due to Allaah and your method in advising the rulers is that of the Shareeah and as the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) has explained and we do not purify over and above Allaahs estimation of him -, yet there are those who find fault with you due to your neglect in openly rejecting the various oppositions [to the Shareeah] that have occurred. And yet others make excuses for you by saying that you are under the control and pressure of the state. So do you have any words of direction of clarification to these people?
Answer: There is no doubt that the rulers just like people besides them are not infallible. Advising them is an obligation. However, attacking them in the gatherings and upon the pulpits is considered to be the forbidden form of backbiting. And this evil (munkar) is greater than that which occurred from the ruler since it is backbiting and because of what results from backbiting such as the sowing of the seeds of discord, causing disunity and affecting the progression of dawah.
Hence what is obligatory is to make sure advice reaches the rulers by sound and trustworthy avenues, not by publicising and causing commotion.
And as for reviling the Scholars of this country, that they do not give advice [to the rulers], or that they are being controlled in their affairs, this is a method by which separation between the Scholars, the youth and the society is desired, until it becomes possible for the mischief-maker to sow the seeds of his evil. This is because when evil suspicions are harboured about the Scholars, trust is no longer placed in them and then the chance is available for the biased partisans to spread their poison.
And I believe that this thought is actually a schemed plot that has come into this country, and those who are behind it are foreign to this country. It is obligatory upon the Muslims to be cautious of it.
[Comments: So will these newly-arisen foolish-minded ones ridicule Shaikh Salih Fawzan for believing in this plot as they have been ridiculing the Salafis for the past decade?! And the spread of Qutubiyyah from the angle and direction of the Ikhwan is what constitutes this schemed plot. Shaikh Saalih al-Fawzaan when he said: “And the end part of that is what we are living in now, the arrival of strange and suspicious ideas in our land in the name of dawah – through the hands of the various groups which are called by various names such as al-Ikhwaan al-Muslimeen, Jamaaat ut-Tabligh and the Jamaaah of such and such. And the goal of all of them is the one and same and that is to drive away the dawah of Tawheed and to take up is place [with something else]. And in reality, the purpose/intent of these groups is not different from the purpose/intent of those who have preceded them from amongst the enemies of this blessed dawah – all of them desire to put an end to it. However the difference between them is only with respect to their plans/modes of action. And if not, then if these groups had desired – truthfully – dawah to Allaah, then why do they overlook and abandon their own countries – from where they are dispatched to us? And yet these same countries are most in need of dawah and rectification. They overlook their own countries and then they come out to battle against the land of Tawheed, desiring to change its correct course of rectification to one that is twisted – and they desire to deceive its youth and to bring about fitnah and enmity between them…” (Haqeeqat ud-Dawah ilallaah of Sad Abdur-Rahmaan al-Haseen). But these foolish ones have never ceased to ridicule the Salafis on account of the same meanings contained in Shaikh Salih al-Fawzans statement above! If they only but knew!]
