Verses 94-95 Surah Al-A’raf

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah, The Most High, said: said:

And We sent no Prophet unto any town (and they denied him), but We seized its people with suffering from extreme poverty (or loss in wealth) and loss of health and calamities, so that they might humiliate themselves (and repent to Allah). Then We changed the evil for the good, until they increased in number and in wealth, and said: “Our fathers were touched with evil (loss of health and calamities) and with good (prosperity, etc.).” So We seized them of a sudden while they were unaware. [Al-A’raaf 94-95]

Imam As-Sadi, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

Meaning, they said: “This is something normal that has not ceased since the earlier and later generations and is still happening among the later generations. At times they were in a state of ease and at other times they encountered hardships- at times there was happiness and at other times there was sorrow, according to the alternation of time periods”.

They thought that neither is there an admonition or reminder to pay attention to nor that this is Istidraj (i.e. being gradually led to destruction while they persist in sin), until when they rejoiced in what they were given and this worldly life became the most important thing in their minds, Allah seized them with punishment.

“Suddenly while they were unaware”– Meaning, it never occurred to them that they may encounter destruction, and they thought that they possessed full control over what Allah bestowed on them and that neither will they cease to exist nor leave it behind.

[16] Some Extraordinary Personalities of The First Three Generations

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Uways ibn Āmir ibn Juzʾ ibn Mālik al-Qaranī al-Murādī al-Yamānī – may Allah have mercy upon him

Umar Ibn Al-Khattab Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “I heard Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: “Indeed, the best of the Tabi’in [i.e. followers of the companions] would be a person who would be a man called Uways. He would have his mother (living with him) and he would have (a small) sign of leprosy (on his skin). If you meet him, ask him to seek Allah’s forgiveness for you”.

Usair Bin Jabir, may  have mercy upon him, reported that whenever the people from Yemen came to help (the Muslim army at the time of jihad), Umar would ask: “Is Uways ibn Āmir among you?” When he found Uways, he said: “Are you Uways ibn Āmir?” He said: “Yes”. He said: “Are you from Murad then from Qaran?” He said: “Yes”. He said: “Did you have leprosy, then you recovered from it except for a spot the size of a dirham?” He said: “Yes”. He said: “Do you have a mother?” He said: “Yes”. He said: “I heard Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying:

“There will come to you Uways ibn Āmir with the reinforcements from Yemen, from Murad then from Qaran. He had leprosy but he recovered from it except for a spot the size of a dirham. He has a mother and he honours her. If he were to swear in the name of Allah that something should happen, Allah would cause it to happen. If you can ask him to supplicate for forgiveness for you then do so”. Seek forgiveness for me. So, he supplicated for forgiveness for him. Umar said to him: “Where are you headed?”  He said: “Kufa”. He said: “Shall I write to the governor for you?” He said: “Being among the common folk is dearer to me”.

The following year, a man from among their nobles performed Hajj and he met Umar, who asked him about Uways. He said: “I left him in a shabby house with meagre provisions”. He said: “I heard Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: “There will come to you Uways ibn Āmir with the reinforcements from Yemen, from Murad then from Qaran. He had leprosy but he recovered from it except for a spot the size of a dirham. He has a mother and he honours her. If he were to swear in the name of Allah that something should happen, Allah would cause it to happen. If you can ask him to pray for forgiveness for you then do so”. So he went to Uways and said: “Supplicate for forgiveness for me”. He said: “You have just come from a sacred journey, supplicate for forgiveness for me”. He said: “Supplicate for forgiveness for me”.  He said: “You have just come from a sacred journey, supplicate for forgiveness for me”. He said: “Did you meet Umar?” He said: “Yes”. Then he supplicated for forgiveness for him, and the people came to know of his piety, so he left. Usayr said: “His garment (allocated annually by the state) was a cloak (burdah) and every time anyone saw him he would say: ‘From where did Oways get this cloak?'” [Sahih Muslim 2542]

Imam An-Nawawi, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

This story of Uways is a clear miracle of Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. The Messenger’s statement “If you meet him, ask him to ssupplicate for Allah’s forgiveness for you” is a manifest virtue of Uway’s, and this hadith shows that it is desired for one to ask for the supplication of the righteous people, even if the one who is asking is more virtuous than the one who is asked to supplicate.

The statement of the Messenger “The best of the Tabi’in is a man called Uways” is very clear regarding the fact that he is the best of the Tabi’in. But if it is said, “Indeed, Ahmad Bin Hanbal did say that the best of the Tabi’in is Sa’eed Ibn Al- Musayyib”, so the response to this is that what they intended is that Sa’eed Ibn Al- Musayyib is the best in the Shariah sciences, such Tafsir, hadith and other than it, but not the best with regards to being virtuous in the sight of Allah, The Most High.

When Umar Ibn Al-Khattab Khattaab met Uways, he said to him, “Where are you headed?” Uways said, “Kufa”. Umar said, “Shall I write to the governor for you?” He said, “Being among the common folk is dearer to me”. This is preferring to be unknown and hiding one’s state of affairs.

Reflections from Eight Ahadith on the Revelation of the Qur’an

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

 Hadith One:

Narrated Aa’isha- the Mother of the believers: The commencement of the (Divine) Revelation to Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was in the form of good righteous (true) dreams which came true like bright daylight, and then the love of seclusion was bestowed upon him. He used to go into seclusion in the cave of Hira’ where he used to worship (Allah Alone) continuously for many nights before returning to (or his desire to see) his family. He used to take with him- on the journey- food for the stay and then come back to (his wife) Khadeejah, may Allah be pleased with her, to take his food likewise again till suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira’. The angel came to him and asked him to read. The Prophet replied, “I do not know how to read.” The Prophet added, “Then the angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read and I replied, ‘I do not know how to read.’ Thereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read but again I replied, ‘I do not know how to read (or what shall I read?)’. Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me, and then released me and said, ‘Read in the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists). Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous.'” Then Allah’s Messenger returned with the Revelation and with his heart beating severely.

Then he went to Khadeejah bint Khuwailid and said, “Cover me! Cover me!” They covered him till his fear was over and after that he told Khadeejah everything that had happened (and said), “I fear that something may happen to me.” Khadeejah replied, “Never! By Allah, Allah will never disgrace you. You keep good relations with your kith and kin, help the poor and the destitute, serve your guests generously and assist the deserving calamity afflicted ones.” Khadeejah then accompanied him to her cousin Waraqah bin Naufal bin Asad bin ‘Abdul ‘Uzza, who, during the Period of Ignorance became a Christian and used to write with Hebrew letters. He would write from the Gospel in Hebrew as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight. Khadeejah said to Waraqah, “Listen to (the story of) your nephew, my cousin!” Waraqah asked, “O my nephew! What have you seen?” Allah’s Messenger described whatever he had seen. Waraqah said, “This is the same one [who keeps the secrets i.e., angel Jibril (Gabriel)] whom Allah had sent to Mus, peace be upon him. I wish I were young and could live up to the time when your people would turn you out.” Allah’s Messenger asked, “Will they drive me out?” Waraqah replied in the affirmative and said, “Anyone (man) who came with something similar to what you have brought was treated with hostility; and if I should remain alive till the day (when you will be turned out) then I would support you strongly.” But after a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Revelation was also paused for a while. [Al-Bukhari. Number 3]

Fawa’id:

The subject matter in this hadeeth is about the beginning of the revelation that was revealed to the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, in Ramadan.

Surah Iqrah was the first part of the Qur’an revealed to him.

Jibreel, peace be upon him, used to bring the revelation to him.

Truthfulness of the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, prior to being sent as a Messenger. Khadeejah said to him, “Never! By Allah, Allah will never disgrace you. You keep good relations with your kith and kin, help the poor and the destitute, serve your guests generously and assist the deserving calamity-afflicted ones”.

The revelation sent down to the Prophets was well known to the scholars of the people of the scripture.

How do we understand this hadith together with the hadith reported by Jabir, may Allah be pleased with him, in which it is mentioned that Surah Al-Mud-dath-thir was the first revealed surah? What is intended in the hadith reported by Jabir is that Al-Mud-dath-thir was the first Surah sent down as a command to the Messenger to warn (against Shirk, disbelief, disobedience) and call (to Tawheed, Iman, Islam), and Surah Iqrah (was the first Surah revealed to inform him that) he has been given the station of a Prophet.

One should give concern to the subject matter regarding knowledge of the revelation, and this is proven by Aa’isha’s dedication to the subject matter regarding how the revelation began.

Hadith Two:

Aa’isha, may Allah be pleased with her, said: Al-Harith Bin Hisham, may Allah be pleased with him, asked Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: “O Allah’s Messenger! How is the Divine Revelation revealed to you?” Allah’s Messenger replied, “Sometimes it is (revealed) like the ringing of a bell, this form of Revelation is the hardest of all and then this state passes off after I have grasped what is revealed. Sometimes the angel comes in the form of a man and talks to me and I grasp whatever he says.” Aishah added: Verily I saw the Prophet being inspired [divinely] and [noticed] the sweat dropping from his forehead on a very cold day as the Revelation was over. [Al-Bukhari. Number 2]

Fawa’id:

The heaviness of the revelation on the Messenger, and this is affirmed by one of the explanations of the [i.e. by the scholars of Tafseer]: “Verily, We shall send down to you a weighty Word.” [Surah Al-Muzzammil. 5]

The Sahabah witnessed the state of the Messenger whilst the revelation was sent down to him.

Aa’isha’s statement “Verily I saw the Prophet being inspired (divinely) and (noticed) the sweat dropping from his forehead on a very cold day” shows that some of the Qur’an was revealed in winter and summer, as stated in a hadith reported by Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, who said that the Messenger said to him, “O Umar! Does this verse that is at the end of Surah An-Nisaa’, which was revealed in summer not suffice you? [i.e. regarding Al kalaalah – those who leave neither descendants nor ascendants as heirs] [Sahih Muslim. Number 567]

This hadeeth contains a refutation against the one [i.e. some of the orientalists, enemies of Islam] who say that the revelation received by the Prophet was as a result of epileptic fits, because the Sahaabah witnessed the (physical state of the Prophet) and did not see any of this [i.e. this false claim of these enemies of Islam].

Hadith Three:

Narrated Sa’eed bin Jubair, may Allah be pleased with him: Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him and his father, in the explanation of the Statement of Allah: “Move not your tongue concerning (the Qur’an, O Muhammad;) to make haste therewith.’ [Surah Al-Qiyamah. 16] said, “Allah’s Messenger used to bear the revelation with great hardship, and used to move his lips (quickly with the Revelation) .” Ibn ‘Abbas moved his lips saying, “I am moving my lips (in front of you) as Allah’s Messenger used to move his.” Sa’eed moved his lips saying: “I am moving my lips, as I have seen Ibn ‘Abbas moving his.” [Ibn ‘Abbas added], “So Allah revealed, ‘Move not your tongue concerning (the Qur’an, O Muhammad;) to make haste therewith. It is for Us to collect it and give you (O Muhammad the ability to recite it (the Qur’an), [which means that Allah will make him (the Prophet): remember the portion of the Qur’an which was revealed at that time by heart and recite it]. The Statement of Allah: ‘And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad ; through JibrIl (Gabriel)] then follow you its (the Qur’an’s) recital’ (V.75:18) (means ‘listen to it and be silent’). ‘Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you’ – meaning then it is (for Allah) to make you recite it (and its meaning will be clear by itself through your tongue). Afterwards, Allah’s Messenger used to listen to Jibril whenever he came and after his departure he used to recite it as Jibril had recited it. [al-Bukhari’ Hadeeth Number 5]

Fawa’id:

The revelation of the great Qur’an.

The Messenger clarified (all matters regarding) the great Qur’an through recitation- clarified it by explaining its meanings, its application and how to act upon it. “And We have also sent down unto you (O Muhammad) the reminder and the advice (the Qur’an), that you may explain clearly to the people what is sent down to them, and that they may give thought. [An-Nahl. 44]

Jibreel was the one [whom Allah] entrusted with the responsibility to convey the revelation to the Messenger. “He [the Messenger – Muhammad] has been taught [this Qur’an] by one mighty in power [Jibrael (Gabriel)]. Dhu Mirrah [free from any defect in body and mind], Fastawa [then he (Jibrael – Gabriel) rose and became stable]. [An-Najm’ 5-6]

One has to move his tongue when reciting the Qur’an.

One of the etiquettes to be observed is that one should not be busy with anything else when listening to the recitation of the Qur’an.

Allah, The Most High, guaranteed that the noble Qur’an will be protected and all of it was preserved in the Messenger’s heart.

Hadith Four:

Narrated Jundub bin Sufyan, may Allah be pleased with him: Once Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, became sick and could not offer his night prayer (i.e. Tahajjud prayers) for two or three nights. Then a lady [the wife of Abu Lahab] came and said, “O Muhammad! I think that your satan has forsaken you, for I have not seen him with you for two or three nights!” On that Allah revealed: “By the forenoon [after sunrise]; and by the night when it darkens [and stands still]; your Lord [O Muhammad] has neither forsaken you nor hates you.” [Ad-Duhaa. 1-3]

Al-Bukhari, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: “Chapter: The Statement of Allah: “Your Lord [O Muhammad] has neither forsaken you nor hates you.” [The Arabic word that is translated as ‘has forsaken you’ can be read in two ways: with emphasis [i.e. Wadda’aka] or without emphasis [i.e. Wada ‘aka]. The meaning of both is the same, [(your Lord) has (not) forsaken you]. Ibn ‘Abbas said: The Verse means: ‘He has not forsaken you, nor does He hate you.” [Al-Bukhari. Number 4950]

Fawa’id:

 The revelation of the Qur’an.

The revelation used to stop for some time.

The subject matter regarding the revelation of the Qur’an was well known to the people.

Asbaab An-Nuzool – revelation of (parts) of the Qur’an to give a clarification (or explanation) due to a question that was asked or an event that took place.

In the Qur’an, there is that which was revealed due to (specific reasons or circumstances) and that which was revealed from the beginning without a specific reason.

The application of a verse [or verses] is not limited to the specific [reason or circumstances] for which it was revealed, rather it is applicable to other similar reasons and circumstances [i.e. its relevance and application to those other similar reasons and circumstances are  identified, clarified and explained by the upright and qualified scholars of Tafseer].

Surah Ad-Duhaa is a Makkan Surah [i.e. revealed in Makkah] and was revealed before the Hijrah [i.e. before the Messenger migrated to Madinah].

Hadith Five:

Abdullah bin Mas’ud, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated: The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said to me, “Recite [the Qur’an] to me.” I said, “O Allah’s Messenger! Shall I recite [the Qur’an] to you while it has been revealed to you?” He said, “Yes.” So I recited Surah An-Nisaa’, till I reached the verse: “How (will it be) then, when We bring from each nation a witness and We bring you (O Muhammad) as a witness against these people?” [verse 41] He said, “Enough for now.” I looked at him and behold! His eyes were overflowing with tears. [Al-Bukhari. Hadeeth 5050]

Fawa’id:

To listen to the recitation of the Great Qur’an.

Permissible for the one listening to the Qur’an to say to the reciter, “Enough for now”.

The virtue of Abdullah Bin Mas’ud.

To know a specific verse of the Qur’an.

The name given to the Surah – Surah An-Nisaa.

To know the names of the Suras.

Hadith Six:

Ubaydullah bin Abdullih bin Utbah said: “Ibn Abbas said to me: ‘Do you know the last Surah of the Qur’an that was revealed in full?’ I said: ‘Yes’; “When there comes the Help of Allah and the Conquest.”[Surah An-Nasr]. He said: ‘You are right.'” And in another narration, [Ibn Abbas said]: “Do you know which Surah,” but did not say “the last Surah.” [Sahih Muslim 3034]

Fawa’id:

Knowledge about revelation of the last sections [or parts] of the Qur’an.

Knowledge about that which was revealed completely as one Soorah.

 Knowledge about a particular Surah.

Ibn Abbas’s knowledge regarding the noble Qur’an.

With regards to revelation of the Qur’an, some was revealed between three and seven verses, some in a number of verses, and some revealed completely such as Surah An-Nasr.

Hadith Seven:

Abu Dharr, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, did not even leave a bird flapping its wings in the sky except that he mentioned to us knowledge regarding it. [Al-Musnad Imam Ahmad 21439]

Fawa’id:

Indeed, the Messenger clarified everything that the Sahaabah needed in relation to knowledge of that which is going to take place in future. Al-Mugheerah Ibn Shu’bah, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,  stood amongst us for a long time and then informed us about what will take place in his Ummah until the Day of Judgement. Some of us remembered it, and some of us forgot it. [Al-Musnad Imam Ahmad 18224]

The Messenger clarified everything that was unknown to the Sahaabah regarding the meanings of the [verses of the] Qur’an.

The different levels of the Sahaabah in relation to their knowledge of the Messenger’s Ahadith.

Knowledge regarding the different levels of the Mufassirun.

Hadith Eight:

Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him and his father, narrated: Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,  placed his hand on my shoulder and said, “O Allah! Grant him understanding in religion and teach him the interpretation of the Qur’an.” [Al-Musnad Ahmad 2397]

Fawa’id:

Ibn Abbas’s knowledge in the subject matter of Tafseer of the Qur’aan.

The different levels of the Mufassirun.

Explanation of the Great Qur’an by the Sahaabah.

Daniel Rowe’s Absurd Self-entitlement and Delusions of Grandeur Scrutinised

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah, The Most High, said:

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah; even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allah is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you may avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do. [An-Nisaa. 135]

This article serves as a brief reply to tactics employed by Daniel Rowe, who occasionally affirms and negates simultaneously as a deliberate linguistic strategy; utilises sarcasm, manifests delusion of grandeur, extreme self-entitlement, boastfulness, a victim mentality, and a craving for impunity—traits commonly observed among some Zionist supporters of Netanyahu and the IDF.

Daniel stated: Israel’s challenge: Embracing the world’s high expectations as a strength – opinion. [end of quote]

Response: Daniel’s self-amazement: dismantling his incadications to moral superiority – opinion.

Daniel stated: At some level, even our harshest critics expect more from us. They hold us to standards they would never dream of applying to themselves or their allies. [end of quote]

Response: You are expected to do more, not due to any unique qualities you possess, but because it is often observed that those who have endured the most suffering at the hands of others tend to be the most compassionate when given the chance to express kindness. You frequently speak of the horrors inflicted upon you by the Nazis, yet some members of your IDF continue to kill, brutalise, maim, and even shoot at Palestinians who seek the so-called aid you provide. Indeed, we could never aspire to emulate your Prime Minister and those who have violated the rules of war.

Daniel stated: The world watches Israel with an intensity that borders on obsession in ways that simply don’t apply to other nations engaged in similar conflicts. This scrutiny often feels unfair, even malicious – and sometimes it is. But what if this burden could be transformed into an opportunity? [end of quote]

Response: Millions of people with even a little sense of morality in this world observe what has taken place in recent years with a level of astonishment, as the Netanyahu-led regime has revealed its true nature through its actions. It is not that people are fixated on you; rather, they have not encountered any regime in recent history that so seamlessly blends brutality, deceit, entitlement, and a victim mentality. This level of scrutiny is neither unjust nor spiteful; therefore, transforming this situation and the weight of Netanyahu’s wrongdoings into a chance for change necessitates an immediate halt to over seventy years oppression.

Daniel stated: Israel faces a level of attention that defies rational explanation. The current Gaza conflict, for example, receives far more attention than all the other 32 wars currently occurring on planet Earth combined. This includes wars with far higher casualty rates. This is even though the civilian-to-combatant ratio in Gaza represents what may be the most restrained urban warfare in modern history. [end of quote]

Response: The people have observed a level of brutality, arrogance, impunity, and a victim mentality that is beyond rational explanation. They have not witnessed a recent conflict that has been conducted under the pretense of self-defense, while its leading ideologues, demagogues and rabble rousers have annihilated entire families who are neither armed nor combatants. Furthermore, when you begin to tally the number of casualties and compare them to others, you attempt to distract from the reality that this issue did not begin on October 8. Instead, it has been over 70 years of brutality, impunity, oppression, transgression, and a victim mentality. However, this does not mean that we condone the actions of Hamas against civilians and non-combatants.

Daniel stated: For years, two-thirds of all United Nations resolutions have focused on one tiny country: Israel. If an alien came down from another planet and wanted to understand what it is that humans think is the most important issue facing the planet, they would likely note that there is one single topic that rises above all others both in the UN and in media coverage worldwide, and that is the Jewish people in the Land of Israel who are not behaving well enough. [end of quote]

Response: It is quite absurd when one attempts to manipulate history. This is due to the fact that the United Nations was exploited by Western ideologues and demagogues among the Colonialists to bestow upon you possessions that rightfully do not belong to you. However, it matters little how many individuals oppose you, for some of those wielding veto power and who have commandeered the UN are aligned with your interests. Nothing can be enacted against the you if the demagogues, ideologues, and rabble-rousers of America are in disagreement.

A Brief Discussion on the Attribution to the Offspring of Prophet Yaqub In Our Era

Daniel stated: We are not just dealing with antisemitism, though that certainly exists, but something more complex. At some level, even our harshest critics expect more from us. They hold us to standards they would never dream of applying to themselves or their allies. [end of quote]

Response: Antisemitism is denounced whenever it is accurately identified yet it should not be exploited for manipulation or to foster a victim mentality. Read below:

Regarding the claim that you are subjected to expectations by others that they would never consider imposing on themselves or their associates, we reiterate that the criteria by which we evaluate actions is based on the revelation that prohibits the killing of women, children, and non-combatants, as well as the destruction of vegetation, mutilation, and the desecration of places of worship, among other things. Read below:

Daniel stated: The questions of why that is, or whether or not we should hold up a mirror to them, have proven to be irrelevant, as they simply return to the same actions over and over again. This predates the Gaza conflict and dates back to Israel’s very inception. Their obsession defies logic. [end of quote]

Response: This part of your speech revolves around how you are seen. What needs to be highlighted is that since 1948, Palestinians have consistently faced extreme aggressors among the Zionists. Thus, it doesn’t matter if you believe you shouldn’t have to make an effort because accusations will come regardless. Your very existence was enabled by the same individuals whose countries you wish to continue supplying you with weapons to harm Palestinians. The illogical obsession here is your fixation on claiming what isn’t yours, along with seeking backing to continue a conflict that you fruadulently present as essential for survival. In reality, it is a strategy to permanently displace Palestinians from their homeland, and Hamas did serve as your instrument in achieving that aim. Read: https://www.abuiyaad.com/w/hamas-israeli-right

Daniel stated: This impossible standard, however unfair, carries within it an unintended compliment: the world’s subconscious expectation that we should be different, that we should transcend the moral compromises that others accept as inevitable. [end of quote]

Response: Once again, we anticipate that you will act like ordinary individuals—individuals who do not remain passive while innocent people are murdered. There is no subconscious expectation for you to be any different; instead, what is required is for you to let go of this illusion of grandeur and invulnerability. Discard your empty ambitions—do not base your sense of moderation or ethics on a feeling of superiority over others, as you are not superior, nor does anyone with a shred of common sense believe you are, despite your assertions and self-promotion. Therefore, the matter at hand is not just about moral compromise, but rather a call for you to conduct yourself in a normal and humane manner.

Daniel said: This is not all negative. Israel, as the Jewish collective, is undoubtedly the most hated nation on earth. But it is also the most loved, admired, and adored. I travel the world as a visible Jew and have been stopped many times by people wanting to give me blessings – and wanting me to bless them. Not many other nations on Earth are thought of in the same way. It is not that the world hates us; it is that the world is obsessed with us. [end of quote]

Response: Once more, we see victim mentality, emotional rhetoric, and delusions of grandeur. No one has inflicted more destruction through hatred of Palestinians than the animosity expressed and acted upon by Netanyahu’s regime recently. Explore the vitriol that flows from the mouths of certain ideologues, demagogues, and rabble-rousers. Take the time to read:

Must take a look at what is happening in their own backyard first

It is quite amusing how biased you are. Firstly, while every Zionist professes to be a Jew, it is important to note that not every Jew identifies as a Zionist. Secondly, it is good that you have not encountered any anti-Semitism during your travels. Lastly, it is quite laughable how you present your image: merely receiving hospitality does not imply that there is a widespread positive sentiment towards Netanyahu and anyone who shares his destructive views. Furthermore, your transition from claiming to be the most reviled to asserting that such animosity is actually an obsession reveals your tendency to engage in sarcasm. The issue is straightforward: there should be no anti-Semitism, nor should there be genocide. What you refer to as obsession is, in fact, a legitimate demand from all conscientious individuals for you to stop over seventy years of oppression, self-deception, and victim mentality.

Daniel stated: How do we respond to this reality constructively? FIRST, WE must abandon the defeatist attitude that “they hate us anyway, so why bother explaining ourselves?” This approach has led to criminally negligent failures in public diplomacy. We lack the rapid response capabilities that any modern political campaign would consider essential. [end of quote]

Response: The discussion has circled back to the idea that they hate us, despite claims of obsession without hatred. It’s a manipulation of words and the emotions of the audience.

However, a more fitting approach would be to investigate as well the animosity directed towards Palestinians. People detest the brutality exhibited by certain allies of Netanyahu and some members of the IDF because they still possess some sense of morality, yet we also denounce antisemitism and the actions of Hamas against unarmed civilians and non-combatants; indeed, even combatants have rights that must be respected. You don’t need to justify your actions, nor will there be what you perceive as criminally negligent failures in public diplomacy, nor is there a requirement for rapid response political campaigning if everyone – including Netanyahu, yourself and myself- follow the infallible directives in the final divine revelation. Prince Turki Al-Faisal, may Allah preserve him, scolded both Netanyahu’s regime and Hamas. Listen below:

Daniel stated: When false claims spread, we often remain silent while the lie circles the globe, only issuing corrections weeks later, after the damage is done. Mark Twain is often credited with the quote that “a lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still getting its shoes on.” Secondly, we need to invest heavily in building alliances and shaping narratives before crises hit. Qatar transformed itself from an irrelevant backwater Arabian country to a major regional player in just two decades through strategic communication and relationship building. If they can do it, certainly we can marshal our considerable intellectual and creative resources to do the same. [end of quote]

Response: No one makes more false assertions than Netanyahu and some well known personalities among the Zionists. The greatest harm caused is simply the propaganda of Zionist Netanyahu. If this is Mark’s assertion, then we indeed affirm: “Zionist Netanyahu’s falsehoods and his ilk travel halfway around the globe while the truth is still putting on its shoes.”

Furthermore, you already possess numerous alliances, and some among you consistently attempt to manipulate narratives by exploiting antisemitism and the Holocaust to garner sympathy while perpetrating crimes against Palestinians. Qatar is a Muslim nation, and we ask Allah to empower the Muslim leaders and countries so they can effectively counter Netanyahu’s false narratives.

Daniel stated: We need to proactively find and engage with the billions of people who love us, not just keep fighting those who hate us. Through equitable relationship building with partners who face similar difficulties in their regions, we can create a new narrative. The third, and to my mind by far the most important, is to abandon the expectation that we be treated like every other nation. We should give up trying to be an ordinary people. If the world scrutinizes us in an extraordinary way, it is because of a deep, perhaps subconscious expectation that we are meant to be an extraordinary people. [end of quote]

Response: The countless individuals who adore you and those who despise you do not serve as a measure by which your behaviour is evaluated; instead, your state is assessed according to your deeds. There is no regime comparable to Netanyahu’s in its harsh treatment of the Palestinians. Thus, the challenges faced by Jews stem solely from the actions of their ideologues, demagogues, and rabble-rousers, whose behaviours have resulted in land theft, murder, and the displacement of Palestinian children and non-combatants since 1948. As a result, those unable to address this issue fairly may resort to extreme measures, potentially harming innocent Jews or taking the law into their own hands in other nations. This creates a vicious cycle that we denounce—condemning both the Netanyahu and his ilk who promote the continuation of brutal policies and those who attack Jewish citizens or take the law into their own hands.

Furthermore, the only individuals with whom Netanyahu can maintain a so-called equitable relationship are those who either support him with weapons to continue their brutality, back them politically for financial gain, or out of fear of being labeled an antisemite, a Jew hater, or a Holocaust denier. These individuals will assist Netanyahu in crafting a new narrative. However, this does not imply that if Netanyahu genuinely seek peace without deceit, the matter is left to the Muslim leaders to extend a hand to establish treaties, just as the Prophet made peace with the Jewish tribes after migrating to Madinah. Daniel stated: The third, and to my mind by far the most important, is to abandon the expectation that we be treated like every other nation. We should give up trying to be an ordinary people. If the world scrutinizes us in an extraordinary way, it is because of a deep, perhaps subconscious expectation that we are meant to be an extraordinary people. [end of quote]

Response: Netanyahu’s regime stands out as the only one in the world that operates without accountability. Many individuals within Netanyahu’s regime and his associates are notorious for their genocidal rhetoric. Those specific Zionists who back Netanyahu’s regime are not remarkable in a commendable way; instead, many of them are notable for their blameworthy characteristics – an incessant craving for impunity, a victim mentality, genocidal language, unfounded claims to land, and false accusations against those who justly criticise them, as well as exploiting the Holocaust and antisemitism to silence dissent, among other negative traits. These flaws are evident to people as clearly as the midday sun, and this examination is not rooted in some supposed subconscious expectation that Netanyahu and his associates should be an admirable group; rather, the expectation is for them to cease brutality and impunity.

Daniel stated: THE FOUNDING texts of Christianity and Islam are about the Jews. The founding texts of hard-left politics, from the founders of communism, were mostly written by Jews. The Jew lies at the center of their very identity, which simultaneously produces unparalleled admiration and unmatched resentment, jealousy, and fear. [end of quote]

Response: This segment of Daniel’s deception, characterised by absurd ambiguity and psychological manipulation, becomes even more contentious due to his incorporation of religion into the discourse. The foundational texts of the messages delivered by the noble Prophets Isa and Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon both of them and all the prophets, were rooted in pure, unadulterated revelation from the Lord of the words, despite the fact that all scriptures have been abrogated and distorted with the exception of the Qur’an. Bani Israel is referenced because they were among the earlier nations to whom Allah sent prophets with the message of Tawhid, including prophet Isa, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

Therefore, the term “founding texts” requires both specification and elaboration, as the noble prophet Isa, peace be upon him, was sent as a messenger to Bani Israel, clearly demonstrating that he was instructed to amend certain laws of the Torah, though not all of it. In contrast, Muhammad’s message abrogated all previous texts. Thus, the use of the term “founding texts” should not imply that Jews are mentioned solely based on their identity or due to an eternal superiority; rather, they are acknowledged as recipients of scriptures and prophets, with some adhering to their prophets while others did not, as the Qur’an recounts numerous issues concerning Bani Israel.

Furthermore, the Jew does not occupy the core of our identity; instead, Bani Israel received revelation, with some acting upon it and others failing to do so. Thus, those who sincerely followed the prophets of Bani Israel and passed away while  adhering to pure monotheism were Muslims, as all previous prophets and their true followers were Muslims – submitting to Allah through Tawhid, obeyed Him, kept away from Shirk and its proponents. And following the arrival of Prophet Isa, anyone who chose not to follow him was led astray, and their destination is the everlasting flames of hell. Subsequently, after the emergence of Prophet Muhammad, those who adhere to Prophet Isa or any other prophet are likewise misled, and their destination is to dwell in the fire for eternity. [9] The Three Monotheistic Religions! [Brief Observations On This Statement Uttered By Writers Who Are Ignorant About Islaam And Misguided Modernists Speaking In The Name of Islaam]

Therefore, there is no reason for the existence of an extraordinary admiration alongside unparalleled resentment, jealousy, and fear. The core issue is that there were rightly guided Jews who adhered to the prophets, and subsequently, others embraced Islam following the arrival of Muhammad. Additionally, there were Jews who rejected both Muhammad and Isa, peace and blessings of Allah be upon both of them and all the prophets. Therefore, we hold admiration for the believers among the followers of the previous prophets and do not extend admiration to those who disbelieved in Isa or Muhammad, irrespective of their ethnicity. We harbour no jealousy towards any of them, for how could we envy those whose path leads to misguidance and ruin in this life and the hereafter? We also do not fear them, rather, our concern lies in avoiding the circumstances that led them to a state of disbelief in the final messenger while still claiming what they do not possess. Allah, The Most High, stated:

لَا تَحۡسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفۡرَحُونَ بِمَآ أَتَواْ وَّيُحِبُّونَ أَن يُحۡمَدُواْ بِمَا لَمۡ يَفۡعَلُواْ فَلَا تَحۡسَبَنَّہُم بِمَفَازَةٍ۬ مِّنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ‌ۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ۬

Think not that those who rejoice in what they have done (or brought about), and love to be praised for what they have not done,- think not you that they are rescued from the torment, and for them is a painful torment. [Aal Imran. 188]

Think not that those who rejoice in what they have done (or brought about).

Meaning, the rejoicing (accompanied) with insolence and boasting, thinking that they have done a favour to Allah and Allah’s Messenger.

[بِمَآ أَتَواْ – what they have done (or brought about)]- Meaning, the deeds by way of which they seek to get close to Allaah as they claim.

And love to be praised for what they have not done.

Meaning, they want people to praise them for what they have done, such as feigning righteousness to the people in order to be praised, even if they have not performed an act of righteousness- similar to what the people of the Scripture did, (who) concealed the characteristics of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and did not make it known, and then said, “Now we have overcome Muhammad when we say that he is not the Mubash’shar bihee “the Messenger whom Prophet Isa mentioned as the good tidings.

This verse [188 in Aal Imran] includes two types of people: The people of the Scripture who rejoiced in what they did by concealing the characteristics of the Prophet and not believing in him, and loved to be praised for what they have not done when they pretended to the people that if the Messenger – who is mentioned as good tidings (by Eesaa)- is sent, “We will believe in him”.

The second group are the hypocrites. This is because the hypocrites rejoice in what they do and say, “We have submitted in Islam” in the presence of Muhammad and his companions, whilet their situation is the opposite of that, and they loved to be praised for what they have not done with regards to sincerity, love for Allah and His Messenger, and obedience to Allah’s Messenger. [1]

Daniel stated: Jews returning to their land was and is a cataclysmic event. The world watched with bated breath as the ancient people of Israel walked out of the grave of Auschwitz into the redemption of the Promised Land. They waited to see what we would build. Subconsciously, they awaited the fulfillment of God’s promise to Abraham: ‘Through you will be blessed all the families of the Earth.’ And then we went and tried to be like everyone else. [end of quote]

Response: This section is not in need of elaboration, rather, we’ll post these links to address the issue.

The Promised Land: A Brief Examination from a Religious and Historical Perspective

A Brief Discussion on the Attribution to the Offspring of Prophet Yaqub In Our Era

Daniel stated: For the first seventy years of statehood, we had little choice but to survive. Despite levels of hostility and adversity that might have broken many fledgling states, Israel experienced miracles, both Divine intervention and human determination. Its achievements are beyond admirable by comparison to other nations facing far lesser challenges. [end of quote]

Response: Survival is an inherent human instinct. Furthermore, you initiated the conflict by seizing land and forcibly removing its legitimate owners. There have been no miracles in your journey; instead, you were supported by some of the most influential ideologues and Christian Zionist colonisers, who provided you with appropriated property. Regarding divine intervention, even the most notorious tyrants, while perpetrating their tyranny, believed that their false deities or ideologies rendered them invulnerable or would enable their oppression to persist indefinitely. Thus, this so called miracle of yours is nothing but Al-Istidraj, as Allah said:

وَالَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا سَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُم مِّنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
وَأُمْلِي لَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ كَيْدِي مَتِينٌ

Those who reject Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), We shall gradually seize them with punishment in ways they perceive not. And I respite them; certainly My Plan is strong. [Al-A’raf 182-183]

[سَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُم – We shall gradually seize them with punishment] – by granting them plentiful provision and respite until they think that they will neither be taken to task for their disobedience nor punished, so they increase in disbelief and transgression, and evil upon evil. And through this their punishment is increased and multiplied, so they harm themselves in ways they perceive not. This is why Allah said: [إِنَّ كَيْدِي مَتِينٌ -certainly My Plan is strong] [2]

We shall gradually seize them with punishment in ways they perceive not.

Imaam Sufyaan Ath-Thawree, may Allah have mercy upon him, said that this means, ”Whenever they commit [major] sins, Allaah bestows a blessing on them and make them forgetful of seeking forgiveness. [3]

Thus, it is not unexpected that after committing acts of violence against Palestinians for over 70 years without facing consequences, Netanyahu and his ilk view this as a positive divine intervention, driven by self-promotion and baseless assertions. The determination and achievements of the rebellious individuals among Bani Israel in the past are not worthy of praise, despite their closer adherence to the Torah compared to Netanyahu. There is nothing commendable about the cruelty exhibited by Netanyahu, nor is there anything laudable about the earlier murderers from the previous Zionist regimes since 1948. Rational individuals do not admire the violent actions of Netanyahu and his predecessors. Furthermore, it was the colonialists who aided the Zionists to start their campaign of terror.

Daniel stated: But now, we feel inner national schisms developing around our core identity. Simultaneously, the world is pushing us as hard as possible to become a nation through which all humanity becomes blessed. While we should not stop calling out the unfair double standards, we can and should embrace the message the world is screaming to us. It is time to make the mission statement of the nation of Israel: “Through you shall be blessed all nations of the world.” THE WORLD is moving at hyper-speed into phases like none we have ever seen. The world in 30 years is likely to be as different from our world as the Neolithic farmers are from us today. As AI-powered humanoid robots, driverless cars, and brain chips move from science fiction to reality, the possibilities of a radically different world are opening up in ways unimaginable. [end of quote]

Response: The significance of your identity or that of others is not what the creator emphasises; instead, the creator commands us with the piety that should be sought in accordance with the teachings of the final messenger. Allah, The Exalted, stated:

O mankind, We have created you from a male (Ādam) and female (Eve) (making you all of equal lineage) and We made you into nations and tribes that you may know one another (and fulfil each other’s rights). Verily, the most honourable of you with Allāh is the most pious of you (and not the noblest in lineage or most affluent) (so do not be boastful and belittle others). Indeed, Allāh is all-Knowing, all-Aware. [4]

What we keep telling you is that you act upon this verse because one day you will face your Lord and be asked if you responded to the message of the final messenger, Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. Disbelief and defiance against the final prophet’s path are not praiseworthy, rather, they lead to chaos and destruction in this life and the next. Allah, The Exalted, said:

Those who disbelieved among the People of the Book and the Polytheists were not going to be parted (from their disbelief and polytheism) until there came to them clear evidence. (This being) a Messenger from Allāh, reciting pages purified (of all falsehood and containining all goodness). Within which are upright (truths contained in past) scriptures (and just laws and prescriptions). And those who were given the Scripture (and were awaiting the arrival of a Messenger in Arabia) did not become divided (regarding the Messenger and his mention in their scriptures) until after the clear evidence—(this Messenger and this Qurʾān)—had come to them (so some believed and others disbelieved). [Al-Bayyinah 1-4]

The pace at which the world is advancing will not eliminate the individuals who uphold the truth and the devoted followers of the messengers. Whether it takes 30 years or extends to the end of time, these steadfast followers will persist in fulfilling the purpose for which humanity was created: to worship Allah alone and to obey the messengers, the final one being Muhammad. No one will have a more positive influence than the noble Isa upon his return, and conversely, no one will wield a more destructive influence than Dajjaj. However, Isa will triumph alongside the true believers, while Dajjaj and his followers will face destruction. Thus, everything else, including AI and other advancements, whether beneficial or harmful, falls under the will of the Creator. Regardless of the significant changes that may occur in 30 years or even before the end of time, the people of Iman will remain steadfast and resolute by the will of Allah. Therefore, a wise individual, irrespective of the transformations in this world, should aim to meet his Lord by following the path of the final messenger and fulfilling the purpose for which he was sent to this world, which is not aligned with Zionism or any other man-made ideologies.

Daniel stated: The Jewish people have always lived for the future, and we need to continue to do so. The fractious tribes of the modern State of Israel can and should come together to ask one question: how can each of us contribute to the new mission of the State of Israel, the ancient mission of the nation of Israel: “Through you will be blessed all the nations of the earth”? Our centers of innovation create new possibilities. Our centers of Torah study focus on the call of God that spawned the theologies, philosophies, and revolutions that dominate the world to this day. By bringing these two poles together, we can forge new pathways to bring humanity into a new age of miraculous harmony, spirituality, healing, and connection. We can help shape a world that once lived only in the prophecies and dreams of our ancestors. The biblical call to be “a light unto the nations” is a practical blueprint for turning our burden into our strength. If the world won’t treat us like everyone else, then let’s prove we’re not like everyone else. Let’s use the impossible standards we face as motivation to achieve the impossible. [end of quote]

Response: Every human being aspires for a brighter future, holding onto the hope of improvement, even though the definition of a good future is shaped by following the final revelation—the Qur’an and the Sunnah—since this is the purpose of life. Furthermore, it is crucial for those living under Netanyahu’s authority to unite and question whether Zionism truly reflects the teachings of prophets Musa and Isa, peace and blessings of Allah be upon them. They should also ponder why figures like the Jewish scholar Abdullah Bin Sallam, may Allah be pleased with him, and other Jews embraced Islam. Additionally, those ancient Jews who truly followed the prophets are in paradise InShaAllah, whereas Netanyahu and his ilk are obstinate opposers of Allāh’s command. The sole route to blessings is the Qur’an and Sunnah, rather than relying on Zionism or abrogated and distorted Scriptures. As for your innovative efforts in worldly affairs, they should not be a reason for arrogance and self-entitlement at all cost, nor utilised to oppress Palestinians or find ways to prolong conflicts. Moreover, the Qur’an supersedes the Torah, and Allah only accepts the path laid out by the final messenger. There is no necessity for theological debates, philosophical inquiries, or revolutions based on the Torah; instead, the Torah given to noble Musa, peace be upon him, was meant to guide the Children of Israel towards righteousness, Tawhid, and dignity. Allah, The Exalted, stated:

Verily, We did send down the Taurat (Torah) [to Musa (Moses)], therein was guidance and light, by which the Prophets, who submitted themselves to Allah’s Will, judged the Jews. And the rabbis and the priests [too judged the Jews by the Taurat (Torah) after those Prophets] for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah’s Book, and they were witnesses thereto. Therefore fear not men but fear Me (O Jews) and sell not My Verses for a miserable price. And whosoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, such are the Kafirun (i.e. disbelievers – of a lesser degree as they do not act on Allah’s Laws). [Al-Ma’idah 44]

Daniel stated: By bringing these two poles together, we can forge new pathways to bring humanity into a new age of miraculous harmony, spirituality, healing, and connection.

Response: Humanity has no need of the Zionists following the arrival of the final messenger, as there is no greater guide than the Qur’an and Sunnah for fostering harmony, healing, justice, and peaceful coexistence. Those who believe in the final messenger are not influenced by anyone else’s guidance but that of the final messenger. Only through the path of the final Messenger can one illuminate nations, as it serves as the blueprint for success and harmony. The believers do not demand that you to be anything other than what the Creator has ordained, which is to follow the final messenger. Allah stated:

O people of the Scripture! Now has come to you Our Messenger (Muhammad) explaining to you much of that which you used to hide from the Scripture and passing over (i.e. leaving out without explaining) much. Indeed, there has come to you from Allah a light (Prophet Muhammad) and a plain Book (this Quran). Wherewith Allah guides all those who seek His Good Pleasure to ways of peace, and He brings them out of darkness by His Will unto light and guides them to a Straight Way (Islamic Monotheism). [Al-Ma’idah 15-16]

May Allah knows best.

Examples of the Reverence and Dedication to the Qur’an Among the Pious Predecessors

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Abu Salamah, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “Whenever Abu Musa, may Allah be pleased with him, sat with Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, he may say to him, ‘O Abu Musa! Give reminder’. He recited”. [1]

Abdullah Ibn Mas’ud, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “Whoever is able to learn something from the Qur’an, then let him do so. Indeed, the houses that are deprived of good the most are the ones where there is no recitation of Allah’s Book, because the houses in which there is no recitation is like the demolished houses without inhabitants. Indeed shaytan exits a house in which Surah Al Baqarah is heard”. [2]

He also said: “The hearts are receptacles so busy filling them with the Qur’an and do not busy them with other than it.” [3]

Ibn Abba, may Allah be pleased with him and his father, said: “It would be more beloved to me to recite Surah Al-Baqarah during the night than recite the (entire) Qur’an haphazardly”. [4]

Ubayd Bin Ja’d, may Allah have mercy upon him, reported from a man from who said: I heard the people in the towns saying that Salaman Al-Farisi, may Allah be pleased with him, is in the Masjid, so they approached him until about a thousand people gathered. He stood up and said, “Sit down, sit down”. When they sat down, he started reciting Surah Yusuf, then the people began moving away and departing until about a hundred were left. He became angry and said, “So you wanted adorned speech, but then I recited to you the book of Allah and you left!” [5]

Masruq, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: A man from the people of Makkah said to me: “This is the place where your brother Tameem Ad-Daaree, may Allah be pleased with him, used to stand. Indeed, one night I saw him until in the morning or nearly morning time, while he was crying and reciting:

أَمۡ حَسِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَعۡمَلُونَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ أَن يَسۡبِقُونَا‌ۚ سَآءَ مَا يَحۡكُمُونَ

Or does those who do evil deeds think that they can outstrip Us (i.e. escape Our Punishment)? Evil is that which they judge! [Al-Ankabut. 4] [6]

Muqatil Bin Hayyan, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: “I once prayed behind Umar Bin Abdil Azeez, may Allah have mercy upon him, so he read [وَقِفُوهُمۡ‌ۖ إِنَّہُم مَّسۡـُٔولُونَ- But stop them (i.e. when the wrong doers will be held to account on the day of judgement), verily they are to be questioned] [As-Saffat. 24]. He kept on repeating it and was not able to go past it (i.e. due to the severity of what the verse meant). [7]

Maymun Bin Mihran, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: “Once Umar Bin Abdul Azeez, may Allah have mercy upon him, cried after reciting the verse: [أَلۡهَٮٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ-The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you]. Then he recited [حَتَّىٰ زُرۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَقَابِرَ  – until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die)]. Then he said, ‘I will not see the graves except as a visitor and the one who visits them must either be returned to paradise or hell'”. [8]

Aamir Bin Abdi Qays, may Allah have mercy upon him, said, “I don’t care what escapes me from the worldly things after knowing this verse:

وَمَا مِن دَآبَّةٍ۬ فِى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ رِزۡقُهَا وَيَعۡلَمُ مُسۡتَقَرَّهَا وَمُسۡتَوۡدَعَهَا‌ۚ كُلٌّ۬ فِى ڪِتَـٰبٍ۬ مُّبِينٍ۬

And no (moving) living creature is there on earth but its provision is due from Allah.  And He knows its dwelling place and its deposit (in the uterous, grave, etc.). all is in a Clear Book (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz – the Book of Decrees with Allah). [Surah Hud. Aayah 6]

And the statement of Allah:

مَّا يَفۡتَحِ ٱللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ مِن رَّحۡمَةٍ۬ فَلَا مُمۡسِكَ لَهَاۖ وَمَا يُمۡسِكۡ فَلَا مُرۡسِلَ لَهُ ۥ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِۚ

Whatever of mercy (i.e.of good), Allah may grant to mankind, none can withhold it, and whatever He may withhold, none can grant it thereafter. [Fatir. 2] [9]

Malik Bin Deenaar, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: “When the Qur’an is recited to the truthful people, their hearts become enraptured by the Afterlife”. [10]

Ibn Wahb, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:  “It was said to the sister of Malik Bin Deenaar: ‘What did Malik use to busy himself with in the house?’ She replied, ‘With the Mushaf and recitation'”. [11]

Brief Scrutiny of a Narrative and a Prediction by Rabbi Stewart Weiss

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah – The Most High – said:

وَلَا تَلْبِسُوا الْحَقَّ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَتَكْتُمُوا الْحَقَّ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

And mix not truth with falsehood, nor conceal the truth while you know (the truth). [Al-Baqarah 42]

Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim [may Allah have mercy upon him] said:

Allah forbade us from mixing truth with falsehood, thus it leads to the concealment of the truth. This mixing occurs when the two are combined in such a way that one becomes indistinguishable from the other. It is a form of forgery and deceit, where what appears to be true is actually the opposite in reality. Similarly, when truth is intertwined with falsehood, the perpetrator presents falsehood in the guise of truth and communicates with a statement that carries dual meanings – one that is accurate and another that is false. Thus, the listener is deceived into believing that the speaker intends the genuine meaning, while in reality, the speaker intends the corrupt interpretation. [1]

Allah said:

O people of the Scripture! Now has come to you Our Messenger (Muhammad) explaining to you much of that which you used to hide from the Scripture and passing over (i.e. leaving out without explaining) much. Indeed, there has come to you from Allah a light (Prophet Muhammad) and a plain Book (this Quran). Wherewith Allah guides all those who seek His Good Pleasure to ways of peace, and He brings them out of darkness by His Will unto light and guides them to a Straight Way (Islamic Monotheism). [Al-Ma’idah 15-16]

The aim of this short article is not to deny any group’s right to exist within the human race, nor to support the oppression of any individual. Instead, it serves as a religious examination aimed at clarifying the exaggerations of a Rabbi who, in our view, seeks to use abrogated texts for political purposes.

Furthermore, it is important to recognise that not all individuals who identify as Jewish endorse or support the actions of Netanyahu’s regime, who have been perpetrating violence and oppression against Palestinians—actions that many have described as genocidal. Similarly, we reject the actions of any group or individual identifying as Muslim—whether in Palestine, the UK, or elsewhere—that harms non-combatants, regardless of the victims’ religious backgrounds. Also, we do not support vigilantism or anti-Semitism in any form. Must read clarifications provided at the end of this article. [Refer “Footnote a” at the end of this article]

In an article written by Rabbi Stewart Weiss for the Jerusalem Post, entitled “World War III has begun: A war on truth, freedom, and justice”, he began by stating: “While this world war revolves around the acquisition of land and partisan belief systems, it is also a War on Freedom, a War on Justice, and a War on Truth”. [End of quote]

Let’s remind Stewart that he bears the responsibility for his illegal partisanship, even as he attempts to justify it by suggesting that others are similarly biased in their beliefs. It’s important to recognise that both humans and Jinn have been given the freedom to choose between guidance and misguidance, and there is no compulsion in religion; however, the only belief system that Allah accepts is the final revelation—the Qur’an and the Sunnah. Allah said:

And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers]. [Aal Imran 85]

Therefore, those who submit are guided, while those who reject it, like Stewart, have not yet responded to the command of their Lord. Furthermore, it’s well known that the way Stewart’s people acquire land cannot be described as anything else but blatant oppression, as no reasonable individual would endorse the actions of settlers who illegally take land on a daily basis.

When it comes to the war for freedom that Stewart refers to, it’s important to realise that true freedom -first and foremost – is found in surrendering to the will of the Creator, worshipping Him alone and follow his final Messenger, Muhammad- peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, rather than succumbing to our own desires. Allah said:

Have you seen him who takes his own lust (vain desires) as his ilah (god), and Allah knowing (him as such), left him astray, and sealed his hearing and his heart, and put a cover on his sight. Who then will guide him after Allah? Will you not then remember? [Al-Jathiyah 23]

Al-Allamah Salih Aala Ash-Shaikh, may Allah preserve him, stated:

Absolute and unlimited freedom for a person to do anything he wants – without being held accountable – does not exist in any place on Earth; rather, freedoms exist where they are found, but they have limits, and people are told that anything beyond that limit is forbidden and is not freedom. This makes you understand that the word freedom is not present anywhere on the earth but in a limited sense. As for absolute freedom in everything, including dealings with wealth, politics, court judgements, one’s actions, the sanctity of life, and dealing with one’s children, this does not exist without restriction anywhere on the earth. Rather, freedom varies by country, with some countries having much less freedom than others. As a result, the word freedom, which they argue is part of human rights, is not unrestricted in their eyes. Thus, when this is the case, and they impose constraints on freedom based on the opinions of humans, we say: “Indeed, this principle shows that limiting freedom renders the word unacceptable to all humans”. If the word freedom could be accepted (based on individual interpretations), you should grant a person the freedom to do as they please, then in that case, you would be promoting absolute freedom. However, if you limit a person’s freedom through man-made regulations while also discreetly seizing control of their wealth and abilities, then this freedom is not absolute. As a result, the basis of freedom on which one advocate human rights must be viewed from the perspective that absolute freedom does not exist. Therefore, it must be limited, which means that a person is not entirely free to behave in any location on the earth in any way they wish; rather, this freedom has boundaries that they explain and differentiate, and as a result, one discovers what is known as protocols and etiquettes. There are measures taken to deal with those who disregard the rules governing formal ceremonies and to bar anyone from entering any location while wearing any kind of clothing. Additionally, there is something that is equivalent to a lack of freedom everywhere in terms of one’s presence and speech. This is because they saw that it is not suitable to grant someone complete freedom since sometimes that freedom conflicts with what is desired and other times it conflicts with one’s relationships and other people’s rights. As a result, the notion of total freedom is negated.

When a human being wishes to grant another person rights, he will not be free of desires because the person who codifies laws, whatever they may be, will include their desires in them. [Refer to “Footnote b” at the end of this article]

Similarly, the pursuit of truth and justice can only be achieved by adhering to the final revelation, rather than relying on subjective opinions and personal desires. Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

Even though there is something in the paths of analogical reasoning and reflection that will lead to knowledge, however sometimes it cannot give a detailed explanation in a dispute between the people of the earth due to the minute details and ambiguities, and at other times due to the fact the people differ when prioritising necessities. Therefore, due to this Allah [The Most High] commanded us to return to the revelation in times of dispute. Allah [The Most High] said:

Mankind was one community (i.e. upon Tawheed and Allah’s Shari’ah) and Allah sent Prophets with glad tidings and warnings, and with them, He sent the Scripture in truth to judge between people in matters wherein they differed]. [Al-Baqarah. 213] [2]

Stewart stated: “Let me begin by saying, unequivocally, that I am not an alarmist by nature. In fact, I am a confirmed optimist, especially when it comes to Israel and the Jewish people”. [End of quote]

Indeed, rejecting the final Messenger is even more detrimental than being an alarmist. We remind him that Allah said:

O people of the Scripture! Now has come to you Our Messenger (Muhammad) explaining to you much of that which you used to hide from the Scripture and passing over (i.e. leaving out without explaining) much. Indeed, there has come to you from Allah a light (Prophet Muhammad) and a plain Book (this Quran). Wherewith Allah guides all those who seek His Good Pleasure to ways of peace, and He brings them out of darkness by His Will unto light and guides them to a Straight Way (Islamic Monotheism). [Al-Ma’idah. 15-16]

Stewart stated: “We have a mandate from the Almighty that we are an eternal nation that can never be expunged; we have gone head to head against the great empires of history and watched them fade into oblivion while we survive, against all odds. And, as far as our presence in Israel goes, despite having twice been exiled from our land, we believe that this time we are here to stay and will not be expelled again”. [End of quote]

Indeed, it is important to recognise that witnessing the downfall of great empires throughout history and surviving is not unique to any people. Many nations from the past still have their descendants present today. However, Bani Israel were among those favoured when they acted righteously, and they also experienced Allah’s severe punishment when they disobeyed their Prophets, peace be upon them. Allah said:

And We decreed for the Children of Israel in the Scripture, that indeed you would do mischief on the earth twice and you will become tyrants and extremely arrogant! [Al-Israa. Ayah 4]- Meaning, “We have declared, made a covenant with them and told them in their book that corruption will certainly occur from them on earth twice through committing sins, showing ingratitude to Allah for His Blessings, exalting themselves on earth and being arrogant therein; and that when one of these two (occasions) come to pass, Allah will give power to their enemies and take revenge on them, and this is an admonition and warning to them so that they may return to obedience and take heed”. [a]

So, when the promise came for the first of the two, We sent against you slaves of Ours given to terrible warfare. They entered the very innermost parts of your homes. And it was a promise (completely) fulfilled. [Al-Israa. Ayah 5] – Meaning, the first of the two occasions during which they become corrupt; if such corruption occurred among them, We sent on you – by way of our all-encompassing divine will and decree- recompense (punishment) at the hands of those people with courage, large numbers, and armed, so, Allah gave them victory over you. They killed you, took your children away, plundered your wealth, invaded and destroyed your homes, entered the Sacred Masjid (Baytul Maqdis), and violated it. It must happen due to a reason from themselves. The Qur’an commentators differed regarding the identity of these people who were sent to overpower them, but they agreed that they were unbelievers. Either they were from the people of Iraq, the Arabian Peninsula, or elsewhere, whom Allah gave (the strength) to overpower the Children of Israel when their sins became rife, they abandoned much of their Shariah, and transgressed in the land. [b]

Then We gave you once again, a return of victory over them. And We helped you with wealth and children and made you more numerous in manpower. [Al-Israa. Ayah 6] – Meaning, (gave you victory) against those who overpowered you, so you expelled them from your land; increased your sustenance and number, and gave you strength over them because of your righteous deeds and submission to Allah. [c]

(And We said): ‘If you do good, you do good for your own selves, and if you do evil, then it is (to your own selves).’ Then when the later promise came to pass (We enabled your enemies) to put sorrow on your faces (by conquering and enslaving you) and to enter the Mosque (of Jerusalem), as they had entered it the first time, and to destroy everything they came upon with utter destruction. [Al-Israa. Ayah 7] [d]

“If you do good, you do good for your own selves” because the benefit will return to you, even in this world [before the hereafter] as you witnessed when he aided you against your enemies. “And if you do evil, then it is [to your ownselves]”, meaning, the harm will return upon yourselves, as Allāh showed you by empowering the enemies [against you]. [e]

“Then when the later promise came to pass”- meaning, the next time you spread corruption on earth, we make your enemies overpower you. “to put sorrow on your faces (by conquering and enslaving you)”- Meaning, given victory over you, capture you, and enter the Sacred Masjid as they entered it the first time, and what is meant by the Mosque is Baytul Maqdis. “and to destroy everything they came upon with utter destruction”- Meaning, destroy your homes, Masjids and crops. [f]

(Thereafter Allāh said): ‘Perhaps your Lord may show mercy to you (if you repent), but if you return (to your sinful ways), then We shall return (to punishment). And we have made Hell an enclosure for the disbelievers. [Al-Israa. Ayah 8] [g]

Within these verses (Al-Israa 7-8) is a warning to this Ummah (of Muhammad) against committing acts of disobedience lest what afflicted the Children of Israel afflict them as well. The Sunnah (way, rule) of Allāh is one, it does not change or become altered. Whoever looks [and reflects] upon the empowerment of the disbelievers and oppressors over the Muslims will come to know that this was due to their sins, as a punishment to them. [And also to make them realise] that if they enact and establish the Book of Allāh and the Sunnah of His Messenger, He will grant them firm authority in the land and aid them against their enemies. [h] [End of quote]

Hence, Stewart is notified that they have not been obligated anything other than to adhere to the path of the final Messenger Muhammad and heed his teachings. This obligation applies to them, as well as the rest of humanity and Jinn. However, if they choose to disregard this obligation, the Messenger’s sole responsibility is to convey the message. Moreover, this does not negate the rights they are entitled to through fair dealings, despite the fact that some of them refuse to condemn the atrocities committed by Netanyahu’s Zionist military.

Nevertheless, it is important to recognise that while Netanyahu and his Zionists gang are well known as oppressive figures in our current era, primarily due to their treatment of the Palestinians, it is also important to unequivocally condemn any Muslim, whether members of Hamas or other than them, that deliberately target non-combatants and unarmed civilians. To gain a deeper understanding of this complex issue, I suggest delving into the article written by Shaikh Abu Iyad titled: [Just Rules of Fighting in the Sharīʿah of Islām Compared to Genocidal, Ethnic-Cleansing, Tribal-Vengeance Doctrines and Excesses of Trojan-Horse Muslim Extremists:https://www.abuiyaad.com/a/nuscluvdq ]

Stewart Weiss stated: “Having said that, I fear that the road ahead is a treacherous one, and the fight for survival will test us to the limit. In fact, I believe that we have already entered a Third World War. But, like old age and credit card debt, it creeps up on you in increments, barely noticeable, until suddenly you are overwhelmed and shocked by it. You may deny it, pooh-pooh it, or close your mind to it, but face the facts: This is war. A global war that extends far beyond the Middle East, though that is its epicenter. Like most wars – World War II is a perfect example – it is fought on two fronts. The first arena of combat is the physical one, whereby nations seek to overwhelm their neighbors and swallow their land. Hitler whetted his appetite with the Sudetenland, and then went on to conquer most of Europe, even as his Japanese allies feasted on the nations of the Pacific. At the same time, an ideological battle is also being waged. The Nazis sought to impose their vision of a supremacist, all-powerful Third Reich upon the entire world, fashioning a brutal system that would create a hierarchy of rulers and subjects, comprising super-human, human, and sub-human divisions, with Germany at the top of the pyramid and Jews at the bottom. The fuhrer would displace God in order to determine what was right, what was moral, and what was justified. This helps to explain Hitler’s obsession with wiping out the Jews, for the Jews, as God’s chosen people, represent the primacy of God on Earth and thereby threatened the Nazi’s plan to create a new world order. As long as the Jews existed, that plan would be frustrated”. [End of quote]

Indeed, the struggle for survival is an inherent human drive, regardless of the challenges that may arise or the trials one faces, irrespective of Stewart’s views on the potential threat of a third world war. Even if more conflicts occur, and no matter how subtly it affects individuals, the world will not come to an end until all the major signs of the hour – mentioned by the final messenger – occur. At that time Muslims, Jews, and Christians will be present, as clearly demonstrated in various authentic narrations concerning the events of the end times, including battles, the return of Isa, and other major incidents. Thus, the endurance of the Jews until that time is not exclusive to them; many other nations, including Muslims, will also be present. A billion nuclear weapons cannot annihilate the world, nor can anyone extinguish the legacy of the Ummah of Muhammad. He, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:

Allah brought together the ends of the world near one another for my sake and I have seen its eastern and western ends. The dominion of my Ummah would reach those ends which have been brought close to me and I have been granted the red and the white treasure. I begged my Lord for my Ummah that it should not be destroyed because of famine, nor be dominated by an enemy who is not amongst them to take their lives and destroy them root and branch, so my Lord said: “O Muhammad! Whenever I make a decision, there is none to change it. I grant you for your Ummah that it would not be destroyed by famine and it would not be dominated by an enemy who would not be from them and would take their lives and destroy them root and branch even if all the people from the different parts of the world join hands together (for this purpose), but it would be from amongst them -your Ummah, that some people would kill the others or imprison the others’. [3]

The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, also said:

“There shall not cease to be a group from my ummah, aided, they are not harmed by those who forsake them until the hour is established”. [4]

Therefore, Stewart is informed that his forecast of a worldwide conflict where countries aim to overpower neighbouring nations and seize their territories, resembling Hitler’s conquest of Europe starting with the Sudetenland, holds no significance for the Ummah of Muhammad. On the contrary, the Ummah of Muhammad firmly believe that no matter how formidable the adversaries may be, they will never be able to subjugate the entire Ummah or seize all their territories. And regarding the ongoing ideological battle, as mentioned by Stewart, no one engages in a more intense and immoral ideological battle than Netanyahu.

Furthermore, while it is justified for Stewart to discuss the Nazis and the inhumane treatment they inflicted upon the Jews, we cannot ignore the similar mistreatment suffered by the Palestinians at the hands of the Zionists for over 70 years. They have their lands seized by settlers among whom believe themselves to be superior and entitled to Palestinian properties.

The Palestinians of Gaza – just two years ago – were subjected to starvation, deprivation of electricity and fuel, all in the name of retaliation and self-defence. Therefore, regardless of the Fuhrer’s beliefs, as stated by Stewart, the process of discerning between right and wrong, justified or unjustified, moral or immoral, bears a striking resemblance to the approach taken by Netanyahu towards the Palestinians and many of his predecessors for over seven decades. This ongoing inhumane treatment of the Palestinians is blatantly obvious, as clear as daylight, and the numerous atrocities they have faced over the last seven decades are well-known, including:

The Deir Yassin Massacre: Took place on April 9, 1948, near Jerusalem, during which between 107 to 254 Palestinians were massacred at the hands of the extremist “Stern” gang.

The Nasr al-Din Massacre: Took place in April 1948. Al-Lajjun Massacre: Took place on April 13, 1948, in a Palestinian Arab village in the Jenin District, where the Zionist Haganah gang attacked it and killed 13 people.

The Saliha Massacre: Took place in May 1948, during which 75 Palestinians were massacred.

The Abu Shusha Massacre: Took place on May 14, 1948, near the village of Deir Yassin, and claimed the lives of (50) citizens, including women, men, children, and the elderly.

The Beit Daras Massacre: Took place in northeastern Gaza on May 21, 1948.

The Tantura Massacre: Took place on May 22, 1948, in the occupied city of Haifa, and claimed the lives of about (200) Palestinians.

The Lydda Massacre: Took place on July 12, 1948, in the occupied city of Lydda, and resulted in the massacre of about (500) Palestinians, including (150) who were massacred inside the city’s Grand Mosque. The Zionists threw many of them alive into the town’s wells.

The Dawayima Massacre: Took place on October 29, 1948, when a battalion from the terrorist “Lehi” organization led by Moshe Dayan attacked the village and then began searching homes and shooting at its residents. Entire families were exterminated in the massacre, which resulted in the killing of 200 men, women, and children.

The Zionist massacres did not stop after the Nakba of 1948, but rather their frequency, intensity, and brutality increased in light of the use of more lethal and destructive weapons. Among the most prominent of these massacres was:

The Sharafat Massacre, which took place in February 1951, in which 11 Palestinians were massacred, and the rest of the village’s people were displaced.

The Bethlehem Massacre took place in January 1952, in which 10 Palestinians were massacred.

The Qibya Massacre took place on October 14, 1953, in the village of Qibya, east of Jerusalem, during which (67) Palestinians were massacred, most of whom were women and children, and during which 56 homes were destroyed.

The Qalqilya Massacre took place on October 10, 1956, when the occupation forces attacked citizens in the city of Qalqilya in the West Bank, during which about seventy citizens were massacred.

The Kafr Qasem Massacre took place on October 29, 1956, in which 49 Palestinians were massacred, including 11 children, when they were all returning home from work. The Khan Yunis Massacre took place on November 3 and 12, 1956, in which between 280 and 500 Palestinians were massacred.

In 1970, Zionist aircraft struck Bahr al-Baqar Primary School and Abu Zaabal factories, killing more than 150 Egyptian students and workers.

In 1980, the extremist Jewish organization Kach attempted to blow up Al-Aqsa Mosque, and a shipment of explosives weighing 120 kg was discovered.

The Sabra and Shatila massacre took place in September 1982. This massacre lasted three days, and its direct perpetrators were members of the Lebanese Phalange forces allied with the Zionists led by Ariel Sharon. The Ibrahimi Mosque Massacre took place on February 25, 1994, when a Zionist named “Barog Goldstein” stormed the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron, and fired bullets and bombs at the worshipers. This massacre resulted in the massacre of 29 Palestinians. The Qana Massacre took place on April 18, 1995. [5]

And over the past two years, we have all witnessed the heinous acts carried out by Netanyahu’s military. However, this in no way means that the murders committed by Muslim individuals and groups are not condemned, rather, they are condemned. Shaikh Abu Iyaad, may Allah preserve him, stated:

Upon this, to answer the eternally unanswered question of Piers Morgan, “Do you condemn Hamas?”, we condemn everyone who opposes the Divine Legislation by killing innocent civilians, including non-combatant men, the elderly, women, children, priests, monks and the likes, no matter who they are, Muslim or non-Muslim, whether ISIS, al-Qaeda, Hamas, Boko Haram or Benjamin Mileikowsky, the IDF, Settlers and their likes. https://abuiyaad.com/a/amalekite-genocide-doctrine-gaza

Reflection: Surah Al-Jumu’ah Verses 1-2

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah, The Most High, said:

يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَكِيمِ

Whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is on the earth glorifies Allah, Al-Malik (a), Al-Quddoos (b), the Al-Azeez (c), Al-Hakim. (d) [Al- Jumu’ah 1]

Imam As-Sadi, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

Everything in the heavens and the earth glorify Allah and obey His commands, deify and worship Him, because indeed His dominion is perfect and He owns the world above and below – all are His slaves and under His (absolute) control.

The pure and perfect one- free from all defect and deficiency (or shortcoming).

The All Mighty or Invincible – the One (alone) Who has subjected all things (under His control).

The All Wise in relation to what He has created and commanded (or decreed).

These great Attributes urges (evokes the creation) to worship Allah alone without associating a partner to Him. [1]

Imam Ibn Al-Jawzi,  may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

Allah, The Most High, informed (us) that everything in the heavens and the earth glorifies Him- all the creation, including the inanimate objects, as Allah said:

تُسَبِّحُ لَهُ السَّمَاوَاتُ السَّبْعُ وَالْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهِنَّ ۚ وَإِن مِّن شَيْءٍ إِلَّا يُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِهِ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تَفْقَهُونَ تَسْبِيحَهُمْ ۗ إِنَّهُ كَانَ حَلِيمًا غَفُورًا

The seven heavens and the earth and all that is therein, glorify Him and there is not a thing but glorifies His Praise. But you understand not their glorification. [Al-Israa 44] [2]

He it is Who sent among the unlettered ones a Messenger (Muhammad) from among themselves, reciting to them His Verses, purifying them and teaching them the Book and Al-Hikmah (As-Sunnah)). And verily, they had been before in mainfest error.

Imam As-Sadi, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said:

The intent behind Al-Ummiyyeen  [Unlettered ones] are those who neither had a book [i.e. a revealed book from Allah] nor a fragment of (remaining) divine revelation, (such as) the Arabs and other than them, who are not from the people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians).

So, Allah, The Most High, bestowed a great favour on them – greater than His favour on others- because (prior to this), they had no knowledge, goodness (that which would lead them to righteousness in this life and success in the afterlife), and were upon clear misguidance.

They worshipped trees, idols and stones, and behaved like wild beasts -the strong amongst them devoured the weak. They were upon extreme ignorance in (with regards to guidance of the) Prophets.

Thereafter, Allah sent a Prophet from among themselves – they knew his lineage, beautiful characteristics and truthfulness. (Allah) revealed His Book (i.e. the Qur’an) to him;

reciting to them His Verses;

Meaning: Allah’s clear verses that necessitate Iman and certainty.

[وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ – purifying them] by commanding them virtuous manners, explaining in detail and forbidding them from evil manners.

And teaching them the Book (this Qur’an) and Al-Hikmah.

Meaning, teaching them the Qur’an and the Sunnah, which combines the knowledge of earlier and later generations.

So, after this education and purification, they become the most knowledgeable among the creation (after the prophets and messengers), rather, they became the leaders of the people of knowledge and religion – the most perfect in their manners among the creation, and the ones with the best guidance and character.

They became guided and others became guided through them, thus. they became the leaders of guidance and guides for the believers. Therefore, the sending of this Messenger to them is the most perfect favour and loftiest honour for them. [3]

Verses 7-8 Surah Al-Qasas

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah, The Most High, said:

‘And We inspired the mother of Musa (Moses), (saying): “Suckle him [Musa (Moses)], but when you fear for him, then cast him into the river and fear not, nor grieve. Verily! We shall bring him back to you, and shall make him one of (Our) Messengers. Then the household of Fir’aun (Pharaoh) picked him up, that he might become for them an enemy and a (cause of) grief. Verily! Fir’aun (Pharaoh), Haman and their hosts were sinners.” [Al-Qasas 7-8]

Meaning: The end result and final outcome after they adopted Musa, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, is that he will be an enemy of theirs and a cause of grief (for) them. This is because what they feared [i.e. that they were to be destroyed at the hands of a man from Bani Israa’eel] did not benefit them, for Allah already decreed it. And the one they feared amongst Bani Israa’eel had been destined to be a leader of theirs, who was to be nurtured by them, under their eyes and guardianship.

Verily! Fir’aun (Pharaoh), Haman and their hosts were sinners.

Thus, Allah wished to punish them for their sins- planned for them a recompense for their plots and plans.

An Excerpt from  Tayseer Al-Kareem Ar-Rahmaan Fee Tafseer Kalaam al-Mannaan. Slightly paraphrased.

Verse 4 Surah Al-Qasas

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Merciful.

Allah, The Most High, said:

Verily, Pharaoh exalted himself in the land and made its people (into different) groups, weakening (oppressing) a group among them, killing their sons, and letting their females live. Verily, he was of the Mufsidoon. [Al-Qasas. 4]

And made its people (into different) groups.

Meaning, different groups that were organised and distinguished, and he utilised each group in that which he desired in his kingdom. [1]

He made them into different distinct groups, dealt with them based on his evil desires, and subjugated them as he wanted through his power and authority. [2]

He divided them into different sects and they went along with him in everything he desired of evil and corruption, or he used some as a means to get others to obey him; or he made them into different distinct groups under his service and used every group in some type of work, such as construction, tillage, earthwork and other burdensome work. Whoever did not work was beaten, thus they served him. Or he made them into sects and incited hatred and enmity between them, so that they do not agree (among themselves). [3]

Verily, he was of the Mufsidoon

Meaning, those whose intention is neither to rectify the religious nor worldly affairs, [4] committing unlawful killing and being disobedient to Allah. [5]

The Unstoppable Revival of The Final Message to Humankind Until The Last Day

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah, The Most High, said:

وَقَدۡ مَكَرُواْ مَڪۡرَهُمۡ وَعِندَ ٱللَّهِ مَڪۡرُهُمۡ وَإِن كَانَ مَڪۡرُهُمۡ لِتَزُولَ
مِنۡهُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ

Indeed, they planned their plot, and their plot was with Allah, though their plot was a great (one, still) it would never be able to remove the mountains. [Surah Ibrahim 44-46]

Indeed, they planned their plot, and their plot was with Allah.

There are four statements of the scholars regarding the Ayah:

It is about Namrud when he debated with (Prophet) Ibraheem, peace be upon him, about his Lord.

It is about Bakhtanasar.

It is about the nations of the past and their plotting which necessitated Shirk.

It is is about those who plotted against the Messenger (Muhammad), peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, when they desired to kill him.

And their plot was with Allah.

Meaning: Their plot is recorded so that Allah will recompense them.

Though their plot was a great (one, still) it would never be able to remove the mountains.

Az-Zujaj said: Even if their plot reached the intensity where it could move a mountain, they will still not be able to do away with Islam. [1]

Even if their plot were to reach a stage where it could move a mountain, Allah will still aid the religion He has ordained. [2]

Al-Awfee reported from Ibn Abbas who said: Their plot cannot move mountains. Ibn Jareer said: This deed they commit is against themselves, such as ascribing partners to Allaah and disbelief in Him cannot bring any harm to the mountains nor anything, rather it will haunt them. [3]

Allah’s Signs and verses, His divine laws and manifest miracles at the hands of the Messengers are like mountains in robustness and firmness. So, the intent is to belittle their plot and that it cannot remove these Signs and Messenger ships. [4]

Allah, The Most High, said:

Those before them indeed plotted, but Allah struck at the foundation of their building, and then the roof fell down upon them, from above them, and the torment overtook them from directions they did not perceive. [An-Nahl. 26]

This is one the best of parables regarding how Allah nullifies the plots of his enemies, for indeed they pondered and reflected on that which the Messengers brought when they belied them, made up principles and rules for it based on falsehood, referred back to them to reject that which the Messengers came with, employed tricks to bring discomfort to the Messengers, and inflict harm on them and those who followed them, but their plot became a source of evil against them, thus, their plan became their destruction, because their plot was evil as Allah said:

وَلَا يَحِيقُ الْمَكْرُ السَّيِّئُ إِلَّا بِأَهْلِهِ

But the evil plot encompasses only him who makes it. [Fatir: 43] [5]

Allah, The Most High, said:

And so We have appointed for every Prophet enemies – Shayaateen (devils) among mankind and jinns, inspiring one another with adorned speech as a delusion (or by way of deception). If your Lord had so willed, they would not have done it, so leave them alone with their fabrications. [Al-An’am: 112]

Allah stated that they aid one another in opposing the command of the Prophets through that which some of them inspire others by way of adorned speech, thus, the gullible and feeble minded people are misled by it.

He, The Most High, mentioned the reason behind a perpetrator’s (adorned speech) and why it is accepted by the people; then He, The Most High, mentioned (in Ayah 113 Al-An’aam) the effects it has on those ignorant souls. When those souls incline towards such adorned speech and become pleased with it, they carry out what it calls them to do -in speech and action. Therefore, ponder upon these verses and the sublime meanings they convey, for they clarify the roots of false principles and alert a person against them.

If you contmeplate the statements of the people of falsehood, you will indeed find them clothed with expressions and presented in a good light with sophisticated terms that are quickly accepted by those deprived of sound discernment-to the extent that the wicked sinners would give (good) names to the greatest types of wicked deeds. [6]

Allah, The Most High, said:

وَكَذَٲلِكَ جَعَلۡنَا فِى كُلِّ قَرۡيَةٍ أَڪَـٰبِرَ مُجۡرِمِيهَا لِيَمۡڪُرُواْ فِيهَا‌ۖ وَمَا يَمۡڪُرُونَ إِلَّا بِأَنفُسِہِمۡ وَمَا يَشۡعُرُونَ

And thus We have set up in every town the greatest of its criminals to plot therein. But they plot not except against their ownselves, and they perceive (it) not. [Al-An’am: 123]

And thus We have set up in every town the greatest of its criminals.

Meaning: Those figureheads whose crimes were great and whose transgressions were severe.

Tto plot therein

Meaning: Through deception, calling to the path of Shaytan and waging war – through speech and deeds- against the Messengers and their followers. However, their plots and machinations only backfired on them. This is because they plotted and Allah too was planning, and Allah is the Best of the planners.

Similarly, Allah set up great ones amongst the leaders of guidance and the most virtuous of them, who opposed those criminals, refuted their statements and strove against them in the path of Allah. They followed the paths leading to the path (of Allah) and Allah aided them. Allah gave them an acute discernment and kept them steadfast. So the days of victory and defeat alternated between them and their enemies, until the matter came to its final end-victory and triumph (for the believers) and the final good outcome is for the peiople of piety. [7]

Some of The Main Evil Plotters

Shaikh Shamsuddeen Al-Afghaani, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

Allah, The Most High, guided mankind through Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and the clear manifest evidences given to him, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him – a guidance that could not be described by those who were well versed in the art of descriptions and (a guidance) that surpassed the knowledge of those with great perception. And through this guidance, Allah opened the eyes of the blind ones, the ears of the deaf ones and the hearts of the heedless ones. Allah, The Most High, united them on one religion-(the religion of pure Islamic monotheism) – and prior to that they were in complete disunity, enmity towards one another and followed corrupt creeds.

Allah united their hearts, thus they became true brothers in Islam through this great blessing. Thereafter, everything worshipped besides Allah, such as graves, trees, stones and idols ceased to exist and all worship was devoted to Allah alone. People followed the true Religion of Islamic monotheism and worshipped Allah alone, except those whom Allah willed that they were to remain as people of polytheism, hypocrisy and followers of the altered and distorted previous scriptures. The darkness of polytheism was dispelled and the banner of Tawheed was raised in the lands amongst the Arabs and non-Arabs.

Allah’s Messenger passed away, while Islam was established and in authority-superseding all other ways of life and creeds. Then the rightly guided khulafaa of the Messenger [Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman and Ali continued to adhere to the path of the Messenger until the two powerful and great nations at the time-Rome and Persia-ended up in humiliation, degradation and in a state of fear after they had been in a state of security, and thus Caesar was restricted and besieged, and khosrau [or Chosroes] was subdued and destroyed.

When the enemies of Islaam saw that they were unable to do away with this religion, they implanted their disbelieving agents within it – those who pretended to be Muslims in order to kindle confusion, trials and tribulations, and spread polytheism by exaggerating the status of the pious people and exalting their graves through [beliefs and practices] that were not ordained by Allaah. So, the Ummah [Islamic Nation] was put to trial through the plots of the [atheist, heretic and hypocrite] Abdullah Bin Saba, who claimed Uloohiyyah for Ali Ibn Abee Taalib [i.e. that Ali (the cousin of the Prophet) had the right to be worshipped besides Allah].

Abdullah Bin As- Sabah’s followers were known as the Saba’iyyah and later on they were known as the Rawaafid (shiites), the ismaaliyyah (shittes), the nusayriyah (shiites) and other than them amongst the Baatiniyyah. They worshipped the graves and its inhabitants, and built places of worship and shrines upon those graves. So, through these practices, they revived the (corrupt ancient practices) of those Jews, Christians and the idol worshippers (who deviated from the straight path of the Prophets and Messengers of Allaah). This is how the practices of the worshippers of graves in this Muslim Nation manifested itself through the practices initiated by the rawaafid (shiites). [NB: The majority of the rawaafid Shiites presently live in Iran & Iraq, and their leader is khamanei]

Secondly: The books of Greek philosophy that propagated the ideas of grave and idol worship were translated into Arabic, so many of those who attributed themselves to Islam busied themselves with these books, such as the likes of Al-Faraabee (a) Ibn Sinaa Al-Hanafi (b) Naseer At’Toosee –an advocate of disbelief and polytheism (c) and other than them amongst those who played tricks with Islaam, just as Paul played tricks with Christianity. They were influenced by the ideas of the Greek Philosophers, so they became callers to grave worship through Greek Philosophy. The practices of these people was rife within the ranks of the people of rhetoric amongst the Hanafi Maatooreediyyah (d) and the Ash-ariyyah Kullaabiyyah due to busying themselves with the Books of the Philosophers. They became callers to grave worship and callers to the creed of the Jahmiyyah at the same time, such as the likes of Taftaazaanee Al-Hanafi [The Philosopher of the Maatooreediyyah and Grave worshipers] and Jurjaanee Al-Hanafi [a caller to superstition]

Thirdly: A people who were more dangerous and misguided than the aforementioned groups emerged amongst the Muslims with a manifestation of asceticism. They appeared in the garb of righteousness – with tearful eyes, long flowing beards, elevated turbans, carrying large rosary beads and pretended to be calling to the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, while they secretly practised the disgraceful acts inherited from false religions. They attempted to mix blatant lies with the Qur’aan and the authentic narrations in order to corrupt the clear evidences found in the Qur’aan and the Sunnah. These deviant heretics are known as the Hulooliyyah, Ittihaadiyyah Grave Worshipers (e), such as the likes of Hallaaj (309AH), Ibnul Faarid (632AH) Ibn Arabi (638AH), Ibn Sab’een (669AH) etc [Source: Juhoodu Ulamaa Al-Hanafiyyah Fee Ibtaal Aqaa-id Al-Qubooriyyeen’ of Shaikh Shamshud-deen As-Salafi Al-Afghaanee’ Vol 1 page 19-25]

In the year 1250 King Louis the Ninth was captured while on a crusade against the Muslims of Egypt. He was imprisoned and later released after paying a large ransom. However, whilst in prison he utilised his time to think about ways in which to plot against Islaam and the Muslims, so shaytaan inspired him with the following plots: Firstly: The war in the battlefield between the Christians of the west and the Muslims should be replaced with a war based on ideas and cultural supremacy. Secondly: Prepare the West to corrupt the creed of the Muslims and distort the image of Islaam in the world. [8]

Al-Allamah Rabee Bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

Amongst these Dajjaals (liars) whom Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, warned against was Musaylimah the Liar at Yamaamah and Al-Aswad Al-Unsee who claimed prophethood, and as a result many Arabs exited Islaam; so Allaah destroyed them and others were destroyed, and their trial was ended by way of the swords of the companions of Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. And amongst the liars who claimed prophethood was Mukhtaar Bin Abee Ubayd Ath-Thaqafee, the liar about whom the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] stated, “A liar will appear from Thaqeef a blood shedder”. [Saheeh Muslim 2545] The liar was Al-Mukhtaar and the blood shedder was al-Hajjaaj. And from those who claimed prophethood was Al-Haarith the liar, and Ghulaam Ahmad Al-Qadiyaanee Al-Hindee who had followers dispersed in the world and they claim that Prophethood is still ongoing. Every liar has other wicked liars connected to him – those similar to their Shaikh. And from these liars in general was the Yahoodee – the wicked Abdullah Ibn Saba, who falsely claimed to be Muslim and incited many of the rabble against the Rightly Guided Khaleefah Uthmaan Bin Affaan, may Allah be pleased with him, until he was martyred in that trial.

He is the founder of the doctrine of the Raafidha Shiites and its filthy principles, and exaggeration regarding the status of the Prophet’s family until they deified them. Many of them declare Ali [radiyallaahu-anhu] an object of worship and many of them say that Ali is the one whom the Prophet gave the authority of rulership after him. This is from their lies; and that Ali will return to do such and such, meaning, he will kill AbuBakr, Umar and five-hundred Khulafaa of Banee Umayyyah and Banee Abbaas. This wicked one [i.e. Ibn Saba] initiated the act of revilement against the companions of the Prophet and other affairs related to the trial he initiated which the heretics promote and are firmly established upon, as well as the figureheads of the Raafidha- the liars; so they fill the world with lies and slanders. Their religion is established on lies and misguidance. [9]

The Efforts of Different Plotters-

By Imam Abdul Aziz bin Baz, may Allah have mercy upon him

Imam Abdul Aziz Bin Baz was asked: What is the definition of intellectual (or ideological) war in your view?

Response: Intellectual (or ideological) war is a modern term meaning a host of efforts undertaken by one nation to overcome or influence another nation until it leads it to a specific orientation. It is more dangerous than a military expedition, because indeed an intellectual war tends to be in secret and the aims are hidden at the beginning. Therefore, the nation being invaded (intellectually or ideologically) neither perceives it nor is it prepared to stop and confront it, until it falls prey to it. And the result is that this nation will become decadent in thought and perception – loving what its enemy wants it to love and hating what it wants it to hate. It is a chronic disease that destroy nations, takes away their personality and removes the meanings of their true identity and strength through that. The nation that is afflicted neither perceives what has befallen it nor knows about it, thus, it becomes a difficult task to cure this nation and to make it understand the path to guidance is something difficult. This (intellectual or ideological) war takes place through the general educational and cultural curricula, mass media, literature (or publications) – small and large, and other matters relating to nations. The enemy hopes to divert it from its (sound) creed and make it cling to what it presents to it. We ask Allah for safety and wellbeing.

Question: Are the Arabs in general and Saudi Arabia in particular exposed to this type of (intellectual or ideological) war?

Answer: Yes, the Muslims in general- including the Arabs and others, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and others- have been subjected to a great intellectual war through which the nations of Kufr – from the East and West – gathered against them. And one of the severest and most dangerous is the Christian Crusade (intellectual war), the Zionist (intellectual war) and the atheistic communist (intellectual war). As for the Christian Crusader war, it is at its most intense at present. Since Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi’s victory over the Crusaders who invaded Muslim countries with force and weapons, the Christians realised that this war of theirs, even if it achieved victories, is temporary and does not last, thus, they thought of a more harmful alternative after studies and meetings regarding what would be more dangerous than armed conflicts, which is that the Christian nations – individually and collectively – carry out an intellectual invasion of the young Muslims, because conquering the heart and mind is more probable than conquering the land.
A Muslim whose thoughts have not been polluted cannot bear to see an unbeliever being in charge of authority to give commands and prohibitions in his country, and this is why he works with all his might to expel and distance him, even if he has to give his life and the most expensive price for that, and this is what happened after the great victories of the invading Crusader armies. As for the Muslim who is subjected to this vicious invasion (i.e. intellectual or ideological war), he becomes unperceptive and sick in his thoughts, because he does not see a danger in the presence of Christian (invaders) or others in his land; rather he may see that this is one of the signs of goodness, and one who helps towards progression and civilization. So, the Christian (invaders) suffice with the intellectual war, because it is stronger and more established, for what need do they have to send armies and spend money with the presence of those (brainwashed Muslims) who do what they want with the children of Islam, intentionally or unintentionally, with or without a price?! Therefore, they do not resort to fighting Muslims openly with weapons and force, except in the rare and necessary cases that call for it urgently, as happened in the war against Uganda or Pakistan, or when there is a need for it to establish their programs and organisations, and set up institutions that would carry out fierce intellectual war, as happened in Egypt, Syria, Iraq and others before the evacuation.

As for the Zionist intellectual (or ideological war), it is like (the Crusader ideological war), and they spare no effort to corrupt the morals and beliefs of the Muslims. They have ambitions in Muslim countries and elsewhere. They have plans, some of which have been fulfilled, and they are still working hard to achieve the rest. Even if they fight Muslims with force and weapons, and seized some of their lands, they also fight them with their thoughts and beliefs. This is why they spread – within the ranks of the Muslims – false principles, (innovated) religious paths and sects, such as freemasonry, Qadiyaniyyah, Baha’iyyah, Tijaniyyah and other than them, and they seek the help of Christians and others to achieve their goals and objectives.

As for the atheistic communist (intellectual or ideological war), it spread in the lands of Islam like wildfire. And due to weak faith and lack of purpose in the majority of people; ignorance and lack of proper and sound education, the communist parties in Russia, China and elsewhere were able to seize every hater and agitator amongst those of weak faith or those without faith and established them as pillars in their countries to spread Ilhaad (a) and the filthy communist ideology- prepare and arouse them through the highest positions and ranks. So, when they came under its control and its order made incumbent upon them, some chastised others and shed the blood of the one in opposition or the one who abstains from affiliation, until droves amongst the people waged war against their nations and families, become a torment for their brothers and the children of their people, so they tear the Islamic nation to pieces and made them soldiers for Satan.

Question: What are the means used to promote ideas (in Muslim lands)?

The Imam said:

The means used to promote ideas are many, including:

Attempting to seize the minds of Muslim children and instill Western concepts in them, thus, a child believes that the best path is the path of the West in everything, whether in what he believes regarding religions and creeds, or what he speaks from languages, or what he adheres to by way of manners, habits and the paths he takes to pursue affairs.

Giving close attention to a large group of Muslim children from every country, taking care and nurturing them, so when they are completely submerged in Western ideas and then return to their countries, they are heaped with praise and commended until they take up positions and leaderships in their countries, thus they promote Western ideas and establish educational institutions that go along with the Western curriculum or are subjected to it.

Revitalising the teaching of Western languages in Islamic countries and restricting the language of the Muslims, especially the Arabic language- the language of the Noble Qur’an with which Allah revealed His book and through which Muslims worship their Lord in prayer, during pilgrimage, in their supplications and other than that. Included in this is that they encourage the destructive calls that fight the Arabic language, make attempts to weaken adherence to it in the lands by calling for the vernacular, establishing many study programs intended to corrupt Arabic grammar and so called language development, glorifying what they call folk literature and national heritage. [10] [f]

They seek to conquer the intellects of the Muslim children and nurture their hearts upon their views, either by making them feel that their ways are superior in every affair-be it in affairs of creed and religion, or that which they speak with by way of languages, or what they consider to be civilized manners, customs etc.. They seek to nurture a great number of Muslims in the Muslim lands until they are intoxicated with their views and return them to their lands. Then they start praising and promoting them until they become the figureheads in their countries. So they spread their ideas through these people…etc They encourage the Muslims in the Muslim lands to learn their languages at the expense of the Arabic language, which is the language of the Qur’an- the language by way of which the Muslims perform their acts of worship. They also establish many studies that are intended to cause nuisance and glorify what they call popular literature and national heritage…..etc They prepare a large number of people amongst their people to study Islam and the Arabic language and write books, and take up teaching positions in universities- orientalists….etc They also spread propaganda that Muslim women in the Muslim lands are oppressed in order to take them out of their homes and place them where they want. But Allaah (The Most High) said:

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لِأَزْوَاجِكَ وَبَنَاتِكَ وَنِسَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ جَلابِيبِهِنَّ ذَلِكَ أَدْنَى أَنْ يُعْرَفْنَ فَلا يُؤْذَيْنَ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا

O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies. That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” They set up radio programmes designed to mislead gullible young Muslims who do not understand Islam and do not have sufficient knowledge, especially in Africa…. However if the Muslims exercise patience these plots will not harm them. Allaah (The Most High) said:

وَإِنْ تَصْبِرُوا وَتَتَّقُوا لا يَضُرُّكُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْئًا إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌ

But if you remain patient and become Al-Muttaqun (the pious – see V.2:2), not the least harm will their cunning do to you. Surely, Allah surrounds all that they do]. [11]

The Religion Cannot Be Destroyed

Allah, The Most High, said:

يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُطۡفِـُٔواْ نُورَ ٱللَّهِ بِأَفۡوَٲهِهِمۡ وَيَأۡبَى ٱللَّهُ إِلَّآ أَن يُتِمَّ نُورَهُ ۥ وَلَوۡ ڪَرِهَ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرُونَ

They want to extinguish Allaah’s Light with their mouths (i.e. the Qur’an, the pure Islamic monotheism and the guidance Allaah sent Muhammad with) but Allah will not allow except that His Light should be perfected even though the disbelievers hate (it). [at-Tawbah 32]

They want to extinguish what Allah sent His Messenger with- the guidance and the religion of truth- merely by way of their arguments and fabrications. So their example in this is that of one who wants to extinguish the light of the sun or the moon by blowing at [them] and this can never be achieved. [12]

Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْعَثُ لِهَذِهِ الأُمَّةِ عَلَى رَأْسِ كُلِّ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ مَنْ يُجَدِّدُ لَهَا دِينَهَا

Allah will raise for this Ummah at the end of every hundred years the one who will revive its religion for it. [13]

[إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْعَثُ لِهَذِهِ الأُمَّةِ – Allah will raise for this Ummah]- meaning the Ummatul Ijaabah [i.e. the Muslims]. [عَلَى رَأْسِ كُلِّ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ – At the end of every hundred years]- meaning at the end of every hundred years when there is little knowledge of the Islamic legislation and the authentic Prophetic Tradition, whilst ignorance and religious innovation is rife.

[مَنْ يُجَدِّدُ لَهَا دِينَهَا – One who will revive its religion for it]- meaning a scholar who is alive and well known. He will clarify the authentic Prophetic Tradition and distinguish it from the religious innovations. knowledge will be abundant again and its adherents will be aided, and the proponents of religious will be overcome and degraded.

This reviver is non else but a scholar who has sound understanding of the religious sciences that deal with acts of worship, the underlying wisdoms of the religion and the texts that deal with beliefs of the heart. [14]

The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: “There will not cease to be a group amongst my Ummah upon the truth; neither will they be harmed by those who betray them nor those who oppose them until the command of Allaah arrives [i.e. the day of judgement]”. [Bukhaari]

Al-Allamah Salih al-Fawzan, may Allah preserve him, said:

This group will not cease to exist in the Ummah. The Ummah will not be deprived of this Sunni Group. This Taa’ifah can be one group. If it adheres to the Qur’aan and the Sunnah, it is the Taa’ifah Al-Mansoorah [The Victorious Group], even if it is only one. The Ummah will not lose this Sunni Group, this good group, and all praise be to Allaah – until the command of Allaah comes to pass [i.e. the day of judgment]. ‘They will not be harmed by those who forsake them’. Amongst the people are those who forsake them and those who oppose them, but they will not be harmed.

This is from Allah’s Grace upon His servants and that He will establish the truth for the one who aids the truth and call to it, even if evil is rife. There will be those who adhere to good, call to it and disseminate it amongst the people. Not all the Ummah will be misguided, but some will remain upon truth, but they might be strangers [i.e. their affair will be strange to the people], just as the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said, “Islam began as a strange thing and it will return as a strange thing, and glad tidings to the strangers”, so they said, ‘Who are the strangers O Messenger of Allah? He said, ‘They are those who will be upright when the people become corrupt’.. and in another version of this hadeeth, “Those who rectify what the people have corrupted’. These are the strangers, because the majority of the people oppose them, belittle, forsake and keep away from what they are upon, but this will not harm them, “They will never be harmed by those who forsake them nor by those who oppose them’. Allaah will make them remain so that His Proofs remain amongst the creation until the end of time. This group might be in the East, the West, or the North etc…They are not in a specific place, but they are present. Whoever wants will find it. It is present and all praise is due to Allaah. Alhamdulil laah, we – at present – are upon a correct methodology, upon a sound methodology; our methodology is that which the Qur’aan and sunnah necessitate, our learning is based upon the Qur’aan and the Sunnah. We study Tafseer, hadeeth and its explanation, the Aqeedah of the pious predecessors and that which they were upon. Alhamadulil lah at present we are upon a correct path, a sound methodology and straight path. We ask Allaah to keep us firm upon it until we meet him, neither substituting nor changing it. [15]

Al-Allamah Rabee Bin Haadee Al-Mad’khali, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

It is obligated to the Taa’ifah al-Mansurah [i.e. the aided group] – those whom Allah’s Messenger gave glad tidings that they will remain (upon truth) and will be aided, neither harmed by those who betray them nor by those who oppose them till the end of time – to establish brotherhood for the sake of Allah, co-operate upon righteousness and piety, roll up their sleeves and embark upon work, so that this great status is maintained, which is that they will be manifest upon the truth, neither harmed by those who forsake them nor by those who oppose them. And acquaintance with the truth cannot be except through the knowledge inherited from the Prophets and Messengers, peace be upon them, and from the seal of the Prophets. The scholars are the inheritors of the (knowledge left behind by) the Prophets in calling to the path of Allah, (in propagating) Allah’s Message, and in enjoining good and forbidding evil. [16] [end of quote]

Finally, in saying all this, we must behave well towards non-Muslims regardless of where we reside, neither violating our covenants nor behaving treacherously like the khawarij and their ilk. Imam Muhammad Ibn Salih Al-Uthaymin, may Allah have mercy upon him, advised us in 2000 as follows:

Likewise I invite you to have respect for those people who have the right that they should be respected, from those between you and whom there is an agreement (of protection) [i.e. Non-Muslims]. For the land which you are living is such that there is an agreement between you and them. If this were not the case they would have killed you or expelled you. So preserve this agreement, and do not prove treacherous to it, since treachery is a sign of the hypocrites, and it is not from the way of the Believers.

And know that it is authentically reported from the Prophet that he said : “Whoever kills one who is under an agreement of protection will not smell the fragrance of Paradise.”

Do not be fooled by those sayings of the foolish people: those who say: ‘Those people are Non-Muslims, so their wealth is lawful for us [i.e. to misappropriate or take by way of murder and killing].’ For by Allaah – this is a lie. A lie about Allaah’s Religion, and a lie in Islamic societies.

O my brothers. O youth. O Muslims. Be truthful in your buying and selling, and renting, and leasing, and in all mutual transactions. Because truthfulness is from the characteristics of the Believers, and Allaah – the Most High – has commanded truthfulness – in the saying of Allaah – the Most High – “O you who believe – fear and keep you duty to Allaah and be with the truthful.”

And the Prophet encouraged truthfulness and said : “Adhere to truthfulness, because truthfulness leads to goodness, and goodness leads to Paradise; and a person will continue to be truthful, and strive to be truthful until he will be written down with Allaah as a truthful person“.

And he warned against falsehood, and said : “Beware of falsehood, because falsehood leads to wickedness, and wickedness leads to the Fire. And a person will continue lying, and striving to lie until he is written down with Allaah as a great liar.”

O my brother Muslims. O youth. Be true in your sayings with your brothers, and with those Non-Muslims whom you live along with – so that you will be inviters to the Religion of Islaam, by your actions and in reality. So how many people there are who first entered into Islaam because of the behaviour and manners of the Muslims, and their truthfulness, and their being true in their dealings. Ibn Sinaa [The Heretic]: Al-Allamah Salih Al-Fawzan, may Allah preserve him, was asked: What is your view regarding the one who praises Ibn Sinaa and places him within the ranks of the Muslim scholars?

Answer: Either this person is ignorant and is unaware of Ibn Sinaa’s state of affairs, therefore it is not appropriate that he should speak, rather it is obligated on him to keep quiet; or he is aware of Ibn Sinaa’s state of affairs and disbelief, so he affirms that for Ibn Sinaa and thus the ruling that applies to Ibn Sinaa is applicable to him, and Allaah’s refuge is sough; because he affirms Ibn Sinaa’s disbelief and praises him. This is very dangerous. But some people praise Ibn Sinaa only due to the fact that he was a physician – praised due to a worldly science. And amongst the disbelievers, there are those who are more proficient than him in this field. But why do they mention Ibn Sinaa in particular? They say that because he attributes himself to Islaam and this is a credit to the Islaam. Therefore, we say: Islaam is free from Ibn Sinaa and not in need of him. He is not to be praised because he is a Baatini, a philosopher an atheist. [at-Taliqat Al-Mukhtasar Alaa Qasidah An-Nuniyyah 3/1328]

[f] The basis of a person’s Islaam is to testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allaah and that Muhammad [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] is the Messenger of Allaah, to believe in Allaah, declare that Allaah is One without partner, obey Allaah’s commands, keep away from what Allaah has forbidden and single out Allaah in worship. And safeguarding this path (necessitates) the prohibition of every expression (term or word) that contains Shirk Billaah (i.e. ascribing partners to Allaah), Kufr (disbelief) or will lead to one of the two. [17]

In the Qur’an, there are many words that are utilised to rebut the words (or terms) that are in opposition to the call of the Messengers [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon them], the revelation that was revealed to them and the truth they brought”. [18]

One of the general fundamental principles (in Islaam) is to know that words (or terms) are two types- words that are mentioned in the Qur’aan and Sunnah, therefore, it is obligated on every believer to affirm them, affirm what Allah and His Messenger have affirmed and negate what Allaah and His Messenger have negated. The words (or terms) affirmed by Allaah is truth and the ones Allaah negated are (negated) in truth, because indeed Allaah speaks the truth and guides to the straight path. The words (or terms) of the divine legislation are sanctified and it is from perfection in knowledge that one seeks after the (sound meanings) which the Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] intended by them, in order to affirm what he affirmed and negate the meanings he negated; because it is obligated on us to believe and bear witness to everything he has stated and follow him in everything he has commanded. As for the words (or terms) that are neither found in the Qur’am and Sunnah nor did the pious predecessors (i.e. the first three generations of Islaam) hold a consensus regarding whether they are negated or affirmed, then it is not incumbent on anyone to agree with the one who negates or affirms them until their intended meaning is explained. So, if their intended meaning agrees with the (revelation, commands, prohibitions etc) conveyed by the Messenger, they are affirmed; but if their intended meaning is in opposition to the (revelation, commands, prohibitions etc) conveyed by the Messenger, they are rejected. [19]

Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy upon him, said, “The one who does not know the language of the Prophet’s companions- the language they used when speaking to (one another), the (language) used by the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] when he spoke to them and the manner in which they spoke in general, he will change words from their right places. For indeed many people are nurtured upon the idioms of their people and their customary usage of words, so he finds those words in Allaah’s Speech or the speech of Messenger or that of the Prophet companions and thinks that what Allaah intends or what His Messenger (intend), or what the companions (intend) is what is intended by the people of his custom and their oral expressions, even though what Allaah and His Messenger intend is the opposite of that. This occurred from a group of people- the people of philosophical rhetoric, the people who spoke about Fiqh, the people who spoke about the Arabic language, the common people and other than them. And there are others who deliberately devise other meanings for the words of the Prophets and that of their [true] followers-meanings that are in opposition to their (true) ones. Then they spoke with those words whilst intending to aid themselves, saying: ‘’Indeed, we are in agreement with the Prophets.’’ This is found in abundance in the speech of the heretical philosophers, the Ismaa’eeliyyah (Rawaafid) and those similar to them amongst the heretical philosophers, rhetoricians and the soofees. The one who (truly) knows the Prophets and what they intend (by their speech) he will know by necessity that the (speech of those heretics) is not what is intended by the Prophets”. [20]

Customs

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “It is obligated on every Muslim that he does not depend on custom; rather he presents it to the pure Islamic legislation (to be judged), so whatever the Islamic legislation affirms is permissible and whatever it does not affirm is impermissible. The customs of the people are not proof to determine the lawfulness of anything. All the customs of the people in their countries or tribes must be presented to the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] for judgement, so whatever Allaah and His Messenger made permissible is permissible, and whatever they forbid, then it is obligatory to abandon it even if it is the custom of the people”. [21]

Imaam Muhammad Bin Salih Al-Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy upon him, said, “The customs cannot make something that is not legislated (in the divine revelation) as something legislated, because of Allaah’s statement:

وَلَيۡسَ ٱلۡبِرُّ بِأَن تَأۡتُواْ ٱلۡبُيُوتَ مِن ظُهُورِهَا

It is not Al-Birr (piety, righteousness, etc.) that you enter the houses from the back]. [Surah Al-Baqarah. Aayah 189], despite the fact that it was something they took as their custom and considered it to be an act of righteousness. Whoever takes something as a custom and believes that it is an act of righteousness, then it should be presented to Allaah’s divine legislation [i.e. to be judged]”. [22]

Imaam Muhammad Bin Salih Al-Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy upon him, ao said, “Extremism in related to customs is stringent adherence to old customs and not diverting to what is better than them. As for if the customs are equal in benefit [i.e. the ones judged to be permissible by the divine legislation], then a person remaining upon what he is upon would be better than going along with the new (or emerging) customs”.
