Indeed the True Believers are those who Place their Trust In Allaah

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Indeed the True Believers are those who Place their Trust In Allaah azza-Wajall.

Hadeeth no.49:

On the authority of ‘Umar ibn Al-Khattaab May Allaah be Pleased with him, narrated from the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم who said:

“If you rely upon Allah with the best level of Tawakkul (placing ones trust and reliance in Allaah) with him, He will provide you with sustenance just as He provides for the birds – they leave out (in the morning) with empty stomachs and return (in the evening) with full stomachs ” Reported in Tirmidhee1, Ahmad2 and others3.

Imaam Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbaliرحمه الله  said regarding this hadeeth:   This hadeeth is from the principles of At-Tawakkul, and it is from the greatest of the reasons that bring about ones provisions (from Allaah).

Allaah (عز وجل) said:

“And whomsoever fears Allaah and keeps his duty to him, he will make for him a way to get out (from every difficulty. And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whosoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will suffice him.”4

And indeed the Messenger of Allaah read these verses to Abu Dharr al-Ghifaaree and said to him: “If all of the people were to take heed of these (verses), then indeed it would suffice them.”

{Meaning: If they were to achieve At-Taqwaa and At-Tawakkul they will find contentment in their affairs, be they affairs of the Deen or of the Dunyaa. And this Kalaam has already been brought forth in the explanation of the Hadeeth of Ibn Abbaas: (( Be Mindful of Allaah and Allaah will Protect you.))5}

Some of the Salaf have said:

“It is sufficient in your beseeching/invoking of Him, to know in your heart the that you have the highest reliance in Him, for how many  servants from His servants entrust Him with their affairs and then He suffices them with that which they desire. Then they (the salaf) would read:

وَمَن يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُ مَخْرَجًا

ۚ وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ ۚ وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ

“And whomsoever fears Allaah and keeps his duty to him, he will make for him a way to get out (from every difficulty. And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whosoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will suffice him.”6

The correct meaning of Tawakkul:

Ibn Rajab says: “It is the true reliance of the heart in Allaah (عز وجل)  to seek beneficial affairs and to repel the harm (in relation) to all affairs of the Dunyaa and the hereafter, and to leave all affairs to Him and to have certain Eemaan that indeed none can give nor withhold, and none can benefit nor harm besides Allaah (alone).”

5 The famous hadeeth that is collected by Imaam An-Nawawee in his 40 Ahaadeeth, from Sunan At-Tirmidhee:

On the authority of Abil-Abbaas Abdullaah ibn Abbaas May Allaah be pleased with them who said: “I was behind the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ one day and he said to me: “O Young boy, I shall teach you some words: Be mindful of Allaah and He will Protect you, Be Mindful of Allaah and you will find him at your side, If you ask, then ask only of Allaah, If you seek aid, then seek His aid only. And know, that if the whole world were to gather together in order to benefit you, then they would not be able to do so, except if Allaah had written for them to do so. And if the whole world were to gather together to harm you, then they would not be able to do so, except if Allaah Had written for them to do so. The pens have been lifted and the pages are dry. Tirmidhee said: This hadeeth is Hasan (Good) Saheeh (Authentic) Albaani authenticated it in his checking of Tirmidhee.

6 Surah At-Talaaq (65): Verses 2-3

Hungry People Hoping for a Mouthful of Food & Scrap of Bread, Yet Some People Waste Food – a brief Admonition by Shaikh Fawzaan

Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him) said:

Reducing spending and not being extravagant and wasteful is an obligation during marriage ceremonies and other than it. These squanderers who waste meat and food and dispose of it in waste bins should be reminded that there are hungry people hoping for a mouth full of (food) and a scrap of bread. (They should be reminded) to fear Allaah and to fear Him in their gatherings, and that they do not become the cause of Allaah’s blessings being stop.

Husband & Wife Thank One Another For Their Efforts!

Husband says:

Indeed, after thanking Allaah [The Most High], I then thank you for the great services you have offered this family for many years. Two weeks ago, after you toiled all day to look after me, my guests and my children, I said to you, ‘’You have been going up and down all day’’ and your reply was, ‘’I thank Allaah for granting me the Tawfeeq to look after my family’’. By Allaah! This brought great joy to my heart and tears to my eyes. And here you are again during this month of Ramadhaan fulfilling many tasks in the household without complaint.

I ask Allaah [The Most High] that He never makes me take you for granted. I greatly appreciate your efforts, kindness, love and compassion. I greatly appreciate your support throughout these years- in times of ease and hardship, illness and good health. I ask Allaah [The Most High] to forgive me if I have ever undervalued your efforts, for I have never looked around the house but only found my children happy, loved and cared for by a mother who takes great pride in looking after her family. I ask Allaah [The Most High] to grant you abundant good in this Dunyah and the Aakhirah. I ask Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] to unite our hearts upon everything pleasing to Him and to increase the love and compassion between us and our children. Aameen.

Wife says:

All praise is due to Allaah for everything He has given me. You are a selfless husband who takes great care of us by the Tawfeeq of Allaah. I cannot thank Allaah enough for granting me such a loyal and sincere friend – a husband who always puts me first and always advises me with good InshaaAllaah. I am behind you as we continue to strive to obey Allaah and His Messenger until death separates us InShaaAllaah. You’re not only a husband, rather you are my best friend, and I am glad that you are! How can that not be when it is the case that you always listen attentively even when I am short-sighted and hasty! I ask Allaah [The Most High] to increase the love between us for His Sake and strengthen the compassion you have shown me throughout the years. May Allaah bless you – Aameen

Think About The Status of Shaikh Fawzaan in The Eyes of Ahlus Sunnah and What He Thinks About Himself

Allaamah Saaleh al-Fawzaan responded to the one who regarded him a defender of Islaam, saying: ‘’As for your statement that I defend Islaam, I am not of this status; I am lesser than that; I am deficient and I seek Allaah’s forgiveness……” [Ref 1]

The Shaikh was also asked: How can we attain the (level) of Shaikh Bin Baaz’s knowledge and your (level in) knowledge?

Answer: We do not possess knowledge, (but) as for Shaikh Bin Baaz, yes he has knowledge [may Allaah forgive him and (grant) him mercy]; as for us, we are Masaakeen (i.e. poor, very lacking in our knowledge etc) like yourselves, but it is obligated on us to learn… [Ref 2]

A Brief Reminder To Those Mancunian Non-Muslims Who Genuinely Made a Mistake and Recently Had To Apologise For Associating The Statement ‘ Allaahu Akbar’ With The Atrocities of The Vile Terrorists

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah [The Most High] said:

[وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيراً – And magnify Him (i.e. Allaah) with all the magnificence, [Allahu-Akbar (Allah is the Most Great)]. [17:111]

Imaam Ibn Jareer [rahimahullaah] stated that the above verse means: ”And exalt your Lord O Muhammad by way of what He has commanded you to exalt Him with- in speech and deeds. Obey Him in what He has commanded you [i.e. by fulfilling it] and in what He has forbidden you [i.e. by keeping away from it]. [Ref 1]

Imaam Muhammad Al-Ameen Ash-Shanqeetee [rahimahullaah] stated that the above verse means: Exalt [Allaah] with a powerful exaltation.  Manifest the greatness of Allah (by) strictly guarding what He has commanded and keeping away from what He has forbidden, and hasten towards everything that pleases Him, and this is similar to another statement of Allaah: [لِتُكَبِّرُوا اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَاكُمْ  -That you may magnify Allah for His Guidance to you]. [Ref 2] [End of quotes]

The above explanations are that of the rightly guided scholars- those known for their sound knowledge of the Islamic creed. Exalting Allaah with [Allaahu Akbar – Allaah is the Greatest] is utilised in obedience to Allaah and not in disobedience. As for the terrorists [savages], they utilise this statement, whilst committing evil and destruction. Therefore, we hope that this affair is clarified for those non-Muslims who genuinely misunderstood this concept. Here are a few links to demonstrate the fact that Islaam is free from the evil and murderous activities of the misguided terrorists.

Do Not Be Jealous of The One Who Benefits Others – Ala Shaykh

Shaykh Sāliḥ Āl ash-Shaykh (hafithahullāh) said:

“Do not be jealous of the one who has memorised more than you or is more knowledgeable than you or is more beneficial to the slaves (of Allāh) than you, rather be happy that someone is establishing the rights of Allāh (عز وجل) and the rights of the slaves.”

What is Ikhlaas (Sincerity) – Shaykh Fawzaan

Answered by Shaykh Fawzaan.

Al Allaamah Ash Shaykh Saalih Al Fawzaan (hafidahullah) was asked:

Q: What is the meaning of Ikhlaas? And if a servant intends something else with his worship, what is the ruling [on that]?

A: Ikhlaas means to be free from Shirk. That the person’s deeds, his intention and goal are sincerely for Allaah’s Countenance (The Mighty and Majestic)-neither to associate partners with Allaah through them (i.e. his intention and deeds) nor to show off (in order to be seen) or to be heard. Neither aiming (to please) other than Allaah (The Mighty and Majestic) through them (i.e. his intention and deeds) nor seeking the dunya (i.e. worldly material), nor the praise of people, thus a deed  becomes one (carried out) sincerely for Allaah’s Countenance because Allah does not accept deeds except those that are sincerely (done) for His Countenance.

Reminder: The Importance of Marriage

Kitaab An-Nikaah, Saheeh Bukhaari Vol: 7; Hadith Number:5065

Chapter: The Statement of the Prophet (sallal’laahu’alayhi’wasallam)

‘Whoever is able to marry, should marry, for that will help him lower his gaze and guard his modesty (i.e. his private parts from committing illegal sexual intercourse etc.).’  And should a person marry (even if) he has no desire for marriage?

Narrated ‘Alqamah: while I was with Abdullaah, uthman met him at Mina and said, ‘O Abu Abdur-Rahmaan! I have something to say to you.’ So both of them went aside and uthmaan said, ‘O Abu Abdur-Rahmaan!  Shall we marry you to a virgin who will make you remember your past days?  When Abdullaah felt that he was not in need of that, he beckoned me (to join him) saying, ‘O Alqamah’  Then I heard him saying (in reply to uthmaan), ‘As you have said that, (I tell you that) the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) once said to us, ‘O young people! Whoever among you is able to marry, should marry, and whoever is not able to marry, is recommended to observe fast as fasting will diminish his sexual power’.

Shaikh Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) stated:

Therefore, to get marriage is the correct (thing to do) as a complete obligation upon the one who has shahwa (sexual desires) even if he is not in fear of falling to Zinaa.  This is with regards to the one whose situation allows him to get married.  And in this is a (manifestation) of Uthman’s righteous moral conduct.  It (shows) that the elderly person can get married as long as he has the strength for sexual relations. And the main address (in this hadith) is directed at the young people because in most cases they possess stronger desires and are more in need of that (i.e. fulfilment of such desires).

Obligation of Repentance (Tawbah) – Shaykh Fawzaan

Belief that Tawbah is an obligation upon the slaves and repenting to Allah is from the major and minor sins

Belief that repentance is an obligation is obligatory, repentance from sins is an obligation Allah Lofty and Sublime said:

‘And turn to Allah all of you, Oh believers so that you may be successful.’ (An-Noor Verse 31)

And He said:

‘O you who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance! It may be that your Lord will remit from you your sins’     (At-Tahrim Verse 8)

And He said:

‘And whosoever does not repent then they are from the Dhalimoon(wrongdoers etc)’ (Al-Hujraat Verse 11)

Therefore it is obligatory for the Muslim to repent from his sins and from his evil deeds and it is obligatory that he does not continue upon them or commence upon them or that he is negligent with regards to sins, and he says; ‘this is easy’

Do not be negligent with it for it is from the sins, rather hasten with repentance.

The Most High said:

‘And those who, when they have committed Fahishah (illegal sexual intercourse etc.) or wronged themselves with evil, remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their sins; – and none can forgive sins but Allah – And do not persist in what (wrong) they have done, while they know.

For such, the reward is Forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing underneath (Paradise), wherein they shall abide forever. How excellent is this reward for the doers (who do righteous deeds according to Allah’s Orders).’ Aal Imraan (Verses 135-136)

Allah commended them and promised them (those who repent)

He said:

‘’Allah accepts only the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and foolishness and repent soon afterwards; it is they to whom Allah will forgive and Allah is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise.

And of no effect is the repentance of those who continue to do evil deeds until death faces one of them and he says: “Now I repent;” (An-Nisaa Verse 17-18)

When death arrives the repentance is not accepted and if mankind continues to live then his repentance in the presence of death is (furthermore) not accepted, so upon him is to rush to make repentance and not to delay it. As soon as he commits a sin he repents to Allah immediately.

Man is not infallible and errors occur from him, shortcomings occur from him, sins occur from him; however Allah Lofty and Sublime by way of his mercy has opened the door of repentance. He has opened for you the door of repentance and he calls you to it and he has promised you that He will forgive you if you are truthful in your repentance. So much so that if a disbeliever repents to Allah; Allah forgives him (the sin of) disbelief, Shirk, the killing of people and other than that.  If he repents to Allah He will forgive him. He said:

‘Say to those who have disbelieved if they cease (from disbelief) their past will be forgiven’ (Al-Anfaal Verse 38)

And in the Hadith:

‘Repentance nullifies that which came before it’ (1)

Therefore the Muslim needs to repent, the Messenger [sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam] use to seek forgiveness and repent to Allah more than a hundred times a day.

He [sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam] said:

‘Oh People! Repent to Allah, verily I repent more than seventy times a day’ (Bukhaari)

His companions (radiallaahu anhum) enumerated that in the gatherings he (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) would say more than a hundred times:

‘I seek Allah’s forgiveness,I seek Allah’s forgiveness’ (Abu Dawood, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah)

And he was the Messenger of Allah he (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam)!

So how about other than him?!

Therefore we need to repent to Allah the Lofty and Sublime, Man is not infallible sins occur from him, shortcomings occur from him, and mistakes occur from him, so he needs to repent.

And all the praises belong to Allah that He has opened the door of repentance for us and He has promised that He will accept (our repentance) and wipe away our sins.

(1)    This Hadith is reported in silsilah da’eefah of Shaykh Al-Albaani however there are several other Hadith with similar meaning such as :

‘’The one who repents from sins is like the one who has no sin’ Ibn Majah Declared Hasan by Shaykh Al Albaani
