[6] Ideologues hiding behind journalism – Patrick Wintour

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah [The Most High] said:

يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يُطْفِئُوا نُورَ اللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ

They want to extinguish Allaah’s Light with their mouths [i.e. the Qur’an, the pure Islamic monotheism, and the guidance Allaah sent Muhammad with] but Allah will not allow except that His Light should be perfected even though the disbelievers hate (it). [Soorah At-Tawbah: Ayah: 32]

Imaam Ibn Katheer [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: They want to extinguish that which Allah sent His Messenger with of guidance and the religion of truth, merely by way of their arguments and fabrications, so their example in this is that of one who wants to extinguish the light of the sun or the moon by way of blowing at (them) and this (person) can never achieve this. (1)

Regarding a disagreement between the French Militant Secularists and the Muslim president of Turkey, Patrick Wintour wrote the following in an article dated October 25, 2020:

Prior to anything else, it is imperative that these reporters either gain solid knowledge to cease speculating or save humanity from their abhorrent ignorance while attempting to address the sole infallible religion and way of life until the day of judgement. There is no such thing as “Radical Islam,” despite the fact that these pseudo-analysts on Islam keep using the term. The word ‘Radical’ in the English language means “Believing or expressing the belief that there should be great or extreme social or political change”. [end of quote]

Therefore, regardless of whether the person promoting the change is a Muslim or not, it is without a doubt sinful in the Sight of the Creator to pursue societal change based on sources other than the infallible final revelation (the Qur’an and the Sunnah) as understood and implemented by the Prophet’s companions. Neither is a Muslim permitted to seek rectification through innovated religious practices nor on the basis of their own ideas; rather, social change can only be pursued through the Prophets’ methodology. Here is a detailed explanation of the affair:

Click to access methodology.pdf

https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2021/01/10/rectification-of-modern-societies-by-imaam-abdul-azeez-bin-baaz-rahimahullaah/

As a result, any course of action for rectification that complies with the Prophet’s methodology is free from radicalism, and any course of action that departs from it is either an extremist course of action or an extreme course of carelessness and negligence. Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “The (infallible, uncorrupted) divine (creed, obligations, commands, prohibitions, methodology) are nourishment for the hearts, so when the hearts are nourished by innovated religious practices, the virtue of the Sunan does not remain in them, and thus they are in the same position as those nourished with filthy food”. (2) Imaam As-Sadi [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “Among the most amazing affairs is that many contemporary writers and politicians seek to remedy the many social ills and attempt to do so from various perspectives; however, when it comes to the problem of deviation from Allah’s path, which has carried away the majority of young people, they have not rushed to stop it by returning to sound faith and certainty; rather, those who have strayed from the (infallible divine Islamic) revelation have been left to wander aimlessly in their misguidance and wavering in beguilement, and as a result, the social ills they seek to address give rise to additional social ills because if the path to addressing social ills is not based on sound faith and religion, they will increase and worsen”. (3)

The Prophets and Messengers of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon them), including Nooh, Ibraaheem, Musa, Eesa, and Muhammad, brought about the social change and rectification that is the only one required by humankind and Jinn in all spheres of life, despite the fact that their opponents mocked, insulted, and planned to kill them. Those antagonistic polytheists, ideologues, demagogues, rabble-rousers, poets, and leaders viewed the infallible rectification pursued by the noble Messengers based on the orders and prohibitions of their Lord as being unworthy, radical, and excessive. Would Mr. Wintour and his ilk now claim what the messengers’ opponents stated previously?! Indeed, Islam cannot be characterised as radical, despite what Mr. Wintour and many of his colleagues among ideologues who conceal themselves beneath journalism claim. Rather, what is expected of reasonable, well-informed, and honest people who seek to address this issue is that they use the word radical alone when describing terrorists or those who take the law into their own hands while pursuing political change because Islam is completely free of such people – those brainwashed by ISIS, the far right, and other lunatics.

So, Mr. Wintour and his prejudiced associates must understand that, despite the fact that militant secularists and vile atheists – the cartoonists hiding behind freedom of expression – are immoral individuals who harbour hatred in their hearts for the noble Messenger, however, we treat them fairly and do not harm or slander them, despite the fact that they commit one of the most heinous crimes and we hate them for Allah’s sake. Similarly, we are free from the activities of those who oppose them by violence, which is why our Mashaayikh in the West continuously denounce the un-Islamic actions of those who unlawfully murder in the name of Islam.

Must read:

The book discusses attempts of immoral cartoonists to malign the Prophet through satirical caricatures having no resemblance to reality; & discusses the ideology of Khārijite terrorists:

We do not judge anyone, but rather Allah is the only one who can judge!

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Exalted] said:

The believers, men and women, are Auliya’ (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another, they enjoin (on the people) Al-Ma’ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do), and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (i.e. polytheism and disbelief of all kinds, and all that Islam has forbidden); they perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give the Zakat, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah will have His Mercy on them. Surely Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise. [Surah At-Tawbah. Ayah 71]

We do not judge anyone, but rather Allah is the only one who can judge!

This above statement has become quite popular on the lips of many people, especially some of the youth, when mistakes are pointed out and rebutted based on the infallible principles of the Shariah, so you hear them say, “We do not judge anyone, but rather Allah is the only one who can judge.” Indeed, this is either an oversight or a misinterpretation, because the utterers of this remark cannot argue that they will never seek justice through the decision of an arbitrator when their rights are violated.

Second, this claim of theirs goes against the guidance of the Prophet’s companions. Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab [may Allaah be pleased with him] said: “People were (sometimes) judged by the revealing of a Divine revelation during the lifetime of Allah’s Messenger but now there is no longer any more (new revelation). Now we judge you by the deeds you practice publicly, so we will trust and favour the one who does good deeds in front of us, and we will not call him to account about what he is really doing in secret, because Allah will judge him for that; but we will not trust or believe the one who presents to us an evil deed even if he claims that his intentions were good”. (1)

Imaam Abdul-Azeez Bin Baaz [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: “Whoever manifests good, it will be accepted from him and a good suspicion is held about him. And if he manifests evil, it will be held against him and an evil suspicion is held about him”. (2)

Thirdly, this statement of theirs necessitates that they will never stand to give truthful witness because in their view only Allah can judge. Rather, Allah commanded us to give truthful witness.

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah; even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allah is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you may avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do. [Surah An-Nisaa. Ayah 135]

I am free!

Imaam Muhammad Bin Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [may Allah have mercy upon him] was asked about the statement of a person who says, “I am free”.

Answer: If a free person says this and means freedom from slavery to the creation, then yes, they are free from servitude to the creation. However, if he means that he is free from servitude to Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic], he has erred in his definition of servitude and does not understand the meaning of freedom. This is because servitude to anybody other than Allah is considered bondage. In terms of obedience to Allah [The Mighty and Majestic], this is true freedom because if a person does not humble himself to Allah, he would humble himself to someone else. So he deceives himself when he claims to be free, free from obedience to Allah. (3)

Do not interfere!

Imaam Muhammad Bin Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [may Allah have mercy upon him] was asked: “When a Muslim expresses disapproval of evil (done by) another person, the person responds by saying, ‘You are intrusive’ or ‘Do not interfere in that which does not concern you.’ Is this speech appropriate in this situation and what should be said in response to (this person)?”

Response:

This speech of his is wrong. To say to someone who opposes his wrongdoing, ”You are intrusive” or ”This is not your problem”. This is incorrect since Allah (The Most High) commanded us to forbid evil and encourage virtue. It is our obligation to enjoin good and forbid evil to the best of our ability, whether the person who is commanded or forbidden likes it or not. And he (the one who rejects evil) should respond to him by saying, ”Indeed, this concerns me since Allah has commanded me to enjoin good and forbid evil, and that is because the believer to another believer is like a sturdy building, with one portion supporting the other. So what concerns a Muslim (with regards to doing good and keeping away from evil) is also a concern of his brother (in this case). (4)

Three Types of Friends – By Imaam Muhammad Ibn Salih Al-Uthaymeen [may Allah have mercy upon him]

The freeloader: Befriends you as long as he benefits from you, either by way of wealth or status, or other than that. If this benefit ceases, he becomes an enemy of yours, considers you as someone unknown to him, and vice versa. Numerous are those who defame (others when they spend in) charity! When given from it, they are pleased, but if not given they are angered. You see a bosom friend of yours- the noblest in your eyes and vice versa- asks you one day, saying, “Give me your book”, so, you say, “I’m in need of it today and will give it to you tomorrow”, so, he shows you enmity. This is a freeloader friend.

The friend of pleasure-seeking: Does not befriend you, except due (to the fact) that he enjoys sitting and speaking to you, and for the sake of chatting and socialising, however, neither does he benefit you nor does he benefit from you. Neither party benefit from the other, rather you only waste time. This is also a type of friend to beware of.

The friend of virtue: Directs you to what beautifies (your character etc), forbids you from what dishonours you, opens doors of good for you, and guides you to it. And if you make a mistake, he informs you in a manner that does not blemish your honour.

Freeloader friends are more numerous because the means of benefiting (others) are many, therefore, if you see that this man has not befriended you except due to receiving (worldly) benefit from you, then know that he is an enemy and not a friend. A friend of pleasure-seeking busies and distracts you with enjoyment through chatting, time-wasting in the amusement parks, and other than that. There is no good in this type of person; rather the one who should firmly cling to is the friend of virtue -the one who directs you towards every virtuous deed and forbids you from every evil. (5)

[2] The dilemma confronting a Christian leader enmeshed in caprice and theological rhetoric

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Most High] said:

وَلَا تَلْبِسُوا الْحَقَّ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَتَكْتُمُوا الْحَقَّ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

And mix not truth with falsehood, nor conceal the truth while you know (the truth). [Surah Al-Baqarah. Ayah 42]

Allah [The Exalted] said:

Indeed, those who conceal what We sent down of clear proofs and guidance after We made it clear for the people in the Scripture – those are cursed by Allah and cursed by those who curse; except those who repent and do righteous deeds, and openly declare (the truth which they concealed). These, I will accept their repentance. And I am the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful. [Surah Al-Baqarah. Ayaat 159-160]

Allah [The Exalted] said:

Indeed, they (from the leaders and scholars of the Jews) who conceal what Allāh has sent down (to them) of the Book (which mentioned the description of the Prophet to come and other truths) and exchange it for a small price (of worldly gains and pleasures)—those ones do not consume into their bellies except the Fire. And Allāh will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them. And they will have a painful punishment. https://www.thenoblequran.com/q/#/verse/2/174

Allah [The Exalted] said:

(And remember) when Allah took a covenant from those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) to make it (the news of the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW and the religious knowledge) known and clear to mankind, and not to hide it, but they threw it away behind their backs, and purchased with it some miserable gain! And indeed worst is that which they bought. [Surah Al-Imran. Ayah 187]

Pope Frances stated: “Being homosexual is not a crime. It’s not a crime. Yes, but it’s a sin. Well, yes, but let’s make the distinction first between sin and crime”. [End of quote]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allah have mercy upon him] stated: “In addition to attempting to deceive Allah and His Messenger, changing the names and images of things that are prohibited while their true purposes and realities remain increases the corruption for which they were prohibited, and (it is tantamount to) attributing plotting, deceit, fraud, and hypocrisy to Allah’s Shari’ah and the religion He has ordained”. [Ighaatha Al-Lahfaan 1/505]

In the English language, the word “crime” is defined as “an illegal action or activity for which a person can be punished by law” and the word “sin” is defined as “the offence of breaking, or the breaking of, a religious or moral law”. Based on this English definition of sin and crime, was the Pope speaking of secular (fallible man-made law) or infallible divine law? If he was referring to secular law, we would like to remind him that every Prophet—including the Messiah—did not judge in accordance with secular law; instead, they did so in accordance with infallible divine law. Allah [The Exalted said:

Verily, We did send down the Taurat (Torah) [to Musa (Moses)], therein was guidance and light, by which the Prophets, who submitted themselves to Allah’s Will, judged the Jews. And the rabbis and the priests [too judged the Jews by the Taurat (Torah) after those Prophets] for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah’s Book, and they were witnesses thereto. Therefore fear not men but fear Me (O Jews) and sell not My Verses for a miserable price. And whosoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, such are the Kafirun (i.e. disbelievers – of a lesser degree as they do not act on Allah’s Laws).

And We ordained therein for them: “Life for life, eye for an eye, nose for nose, ear for ear, tooth for tooth, and wounds equal for equal.” But if anyone remits the retaliation by way of charity, it shall be for him an expiation. And whosoever does not judge by that which Allah has revealed, such are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers – of a lesser degree).

And in their footsteps, We sent ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), confirming the Taurat (Torah) that had come before him, and We gave him the Injeel (Gospel), in which was guidance and light and confirmation of the Taurat (Torah) that had come before it, a guidance and an admonition for Al-Muttaqun (the pious).

Let the people of the Injeel (Gospel) judge by what Allah has revealed therein. And whosoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed (then) such (people) are the Fasiqun (the rebellious i.e. disobedient (of a lesser degree) to Allah.

And We have sent down to you (O Muhammad) the Book (this Qur’an) in truth, confirming the Scripture that came before it and Mohayminan (trustworthy in highness and a witness) over it (old Scriptures). So judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging away from the truth that has come to you. To each among you, We have prescribed a law and a clear way. If Allah willed, He would have made you one nation, but that (He) may test you in what He has given you; so strive as in a race in good deeds. The return of you (all) is to Allah; then He will inform you about that in which you used to differ.

And so judge (you O Muhammad ) between them by what Allah has revealed and follow not their vain desires, but beware of them lest they turn you (O Muhammad ) far away from some of that which Allah has sent down to you. And if they turn away, then know that Allah’s Will is to punish them for some sins of theirs. And truly, most of men are Fasiqun (rebellious and disobedient to Allah).

Do they then seek the judgement of (the Days of) Ignorance? And who is better in judgement than Allah for a people who have firm Faith. [Surah Al-Maa’idah. Ayaat 44-50] (see footnote a)

If the Pope meant divine law when he used the terms crime and sin in this context, then indeed some sinners were classified as criminals by Allah, particularly the transgressors among the people of Prophet Lut [peace be upon him]. Allah [The Exalted] stated:

And (remember) Lout (Lot), when he said to his people: “Do you commit the worst sin such as none preceding you has committed in the ‘Alamin (mankind and jinns)? Verily, you practise your lusts on men instead of women. Nay, but you are a people transgressing beyond bounds (by committing great sins).” And the answer of his people was only that they said: “Drive them out of your town, these are indeed men who want to be pure (from sins)!” Then We saved him and his family, except his wife; she was of those who remained behind (in the torment). And We rained down on them a rain (of stones). Then see what was the end of the Mujrimun (criminals). [Surah Al-A’raaf. Ayaat 80-84]

Pope tried to hide the reality conveyed in the divine revelation regarding these two words – crime and sin, even though Allah stated about the transgressors amongst the people of the noble Prophet Lut [peace be upon him]:

[ وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهِم مَّطَرً۬ا‌ۖ فَٱنظُرۡ ڪَيۡفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ – And We rained down on them a rain (of stones). Then see what was the end of the Mujrimun (criminals)].

Indeed, hiding truth is a mighty crime! Imaam Ibn Al-Qayyim [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, When a manifestation of evidence supporting the truth occurs and the person attempting to thwart it is unable to do so, he refrains from expressing the evidence and turns into a silent devil, or occasionally twists it. There are two types of distortion: the distortion of words and meanings. Distorting words occur when one utters a word in a situation where it does not establish the truth, either adding to the term or removing something from it, or substituting it with something else, the listener is led to believe something when something different is intended. The second type is distortion is related to meanings: distorting the wording, giving it an interpretation not intended by the person who stated it, pretending not to recognise its unintended meaning; or dropping other meanings intended by it”. (1)

The truth will never be lost, rather, Allah has clarified everything needed in the revelation and exposed the tricks of the deceivers. Allah [The Exalted] said: [ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ وَلِتَسْتَبِينَ سَبِيلُ الْمُجْرِمِينَ – And thus do We explain the signs (to you O Muḥammad) in detail, and so that the way of the criminals may become evident (to you)] [Surah Al-An’aam. Aayah 55] (2)

Imaam Ibn Katheer [may Allaah have mercy upon him] stated regarding this Ayah: “Allah [The Exalted] stated that just as He explained what was previously explained of the arguments and evidence on the path of guidance and sound judgement, and censured argumentation and stubbornness; likewise He explains the signs (proofs, evidences, lessons), which those being addressed are in need of; [ولتستبين سبيل المجرمين – and so that the way of the criminals may become evident (to you)], Meaning, so that the path of the criminals – those who oppose the Messengers – may become evident”. (3)

Imam At-Tabari [may Allah have mercy upon him] stated regarding the statement of Allah: [وكذلك نفصل الآيات – And thus do We explain the signs (to you O Muḥammad) in detail]- Meaning, O Muhammad! Just as We have detailed for you in this Surah – from its beginning and introduction up to this point – our proofs and evidences against the idolaters and worshippers of images, and distinguished and clarified it for you; likewise, We explain to you our signs and evidences for every truth denied by the people of falsehood, the sects and other than them, until its truth is distinguished from its falsehood, and its right is distinguished from its wrong. (4)

Finally, keep in mind what Shaikh Abu Khadeejah (may Allah preserve him) said as follows: “Prescribed punishments can only be carried out by the legal authority in a country that practices Islamic Law (i.e. in a Muslim country), and there must be clear evidence that actual sex had taken place. The Muslim penal code carries out punishments on the basis of the unlawful act that is committed and not on the basis of a person’s inclinations where no illegal act has been committed. This is the view of all of the famous scholars and jurists of Islam in line with the punishment dealt to the people of Lūt (in the Qur’an) and the hadīth of the Prophet. A Muslim, regardless of which country he lives in, is not allowed to physically harm those he regards to be sinners, nor incite others to do so. Vigilantism goes against Islamic teachings because it creates an anarchic, unjust, and disorderly society.

[1] The dilemma confronting a Christian leader enmeshed in caprice and theological rhetoric

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Exalted] said:

If only there had been among the generations before you, persons having wisdom, prohibiting (others) from Al-Fasad (disbelief, polytheism, and all kinds of crimes and sins) in the earth, as did a few of those whom We saved from among them. And those who did wrong pursued the enjoyment of good things of (this worldly) life and were Mujrimun (criminals, disbelievers in Allah, polytheists, sinners, etc.). [Surah Hud. Aayah 116]

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

And ask them (O Muhammad ) about the town that was by the sea, when they transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath (i.e. Saturday): when their fish came to them openly on the Sabbath day and did not come to them on the day they had no Sabbath. Thus We made a trial of them for they used to rebel. And when a community among them said: “Why do you preach to a people whom Allah is about to destroy or to punish with a severe torment?” (The preachers) said: “In order to be free from guilt before your Lord (Allah), and perhaps they may fear Allah.” So when they forgot the reminders that had been given to them, We rescued those who forbade evil, but We seized those who did wrong with severe torment because they used to rebel (disobey Allah). [Surah Al-A’raaf. Ayaat 163-165]

Indeed, one of the greatest problems of our day is the misguided people who ascribe to religion, because their unclear and incorrect remarks are mindlessly accepted by the rabble and used by militant secularists to alter the Prophets’ path. They do not approve or disapprove based on clarity, but instead abandon the revelation and speak according to their preferences. In this article, we will make brief observations on Pope Francis’ beliefs, whose aim is to speak on behalf of all in the name of God’s love! However, before we quote and respond to his theological rhetoric, we recall a statement made by Shaikh Al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah and his student Imaam Ibn Al-Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon them] about the misguided people of the Scripture.

Shaikh Al-Islam said, “Falsehood does not spread unless it is mingled with some truth, just as the people of the Scripture did. And with the little truth they possessed, they led many astray from the truth and led them to numerous falsehoods”. (1)

Imaam Ibn Al-Qayyim [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “These people, whose reasonings against the Book and the Sunnah are in fact tantamount to ignorance, base their matter on ambiguous statements that carry several interpretations. Because of the wording’s generality and ambiguity, it can be used to convey both truth and falsehood; therefore, what is true in it is accepted by those who do not have a thorough understanding of what is false in it for the sake of ambiguity and conflating truth with falsehood; then with the falsehood in it, they oppose the texts of the Prophets. This is the source of the misguidance of those who went astray from the nations before us”. (2)

Let’s now start our observations on the Pope’s thoughts and try to keep in mind the above two quotations from Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim and Shaikh Al-Islam.

Observation I: Pope Frances said the following when discussing buggery: “We are all children of God, and God loves us as we are and for the strength that each one of us has to fight for our dignity”. [End of quote]

Response: Certainly, we are all servants of Allah [The Most Merciful], as Allah stated:

And they say: “The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as a sect of the Jews say: ‘Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son [‘Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)].” Indeed you have brought forth (said) a terrible evil thing. Whereby the heavens are almost torn, and the earth is split asunder, and the mountains fall in ruins, that they ascribe a son (or offspring or children) to the Most Beneficent (Allah). But it is not suitable for (the Majesty of) the Most Beneficent (Allah) that He should beget a son (or offspring or children). There is none in the heavens and the earth but comes unto the Most Beneficent (Allah) as a slave. Verily, He knows each one of them and has counted them a full counting. And every one of them will come to Him alone on the Day of Resurrection (without any helper, protector or defender). [Surah Maryam. Ayaat 88-95]

Regarding the statement that “God loves us,” it is true that Allah is merciful to humanity and Jinn, which is why He sent the Messengers as callers to Tawheed, bearers of good news, and warners of the destructive consequences of unbelief, shirk and transgression. Allah [The Exalted] said:

And verily, We have sent among every Ummah (community, nation) a Messenger (proclaiming): “Worship Allah (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from) Taghut (all false deities, etc.i. e. do not worship Taghut besides Allah).” Then of them were some whom Allah guided and of them were some upon whom the straying was justified. So travel through the land and see what was the end of those who denied (the truth). [Surah An-Nahl. Ayah 36]

Allah [The Exalted] said:

Indeed, We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him. And we revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the Descendants, Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the book [of Psalms]. And Messengers We have mentioned to you before, and Messengers We have not mentioned to you, – and to Musa (Moses) Allah spoke directly. Messengers as bearers of good news as well as of warning in order that mankind should have no plea against Allah after the Messengers. And Allah is Ever All-Powerful, All-Wise. [Surah An-Nisaa. Ayaat 163-165]

Second, obedient believers in pure Islamic monotheism are not the same as those who call for Shirk, corruption, sin, and transgression on earth. Allah said:

Shall We treat those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, as Mufsidun (those who associate partners in worship with Allah and commit crimes) on earth? Or shall We treat the Muttaqun (pious), as the Fujjar (criminals, disbelievers, sinful ones, etc)?] [Surah Saad. Ayah 28]

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

Not alike are the blind and the seeing. Nor are (alike) the darkness and the light. Nor are (alike) the shade and the sun’s heat. Nor are (alike) the living and the dead. Verily, Allah makes whom He will hear, but you cannot make hear those who are in graves. You (O Muhammad) are only a warner. Verily! We have sent you with the truth, a bearer of glad tidings, and a warner. And there never was a nation but a warner had passed among them. [Surah Al-Faatir. Ayaat 19-24]

[وَمَا يَسْتَوِي الْأَعْمَىٰ وَالْبَصِيرُ – Not alike are the blind and the seeing]-Meaning, just as it is undeniably established in their midst that the aforementioned things are not equal, they should also be aware that the opposites (connected to beliefs and deeds) are not the same. The believer and the disbeliever are not the same, nor are the guided and the misguided. The inhabitants of paradise and hell are not the same, nor are the knowledgeable and the ignorant. Those whose hearts are dead (because of disbelief) are not the same as those whose hearts are alive (due to belief in pure Islamic monotheism). There is a (significant) difference between these things that only Allah knows. So, if one is aware of their various statuses, distinguishes between the affairs, and it becomes clear regarding the affair that is obligated on you to compete and attain, as opposed to its opposite, then the determined one would choose for himself that which is more worthy and has a greater right to be given precedence.

[إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُسْمِعُ مَن يَشَاءُ – Verily, Allah makes whom He will hear]- Meaning, Meaning, the hearing (which leads to sound) comprehension, and acceptance of truth, because Allah is the guide and bestower of guidance.

[وَمَا أَنتَ بِمُسْمِعٍ مَّن فِي الْقُبُورِ- But you cannot make hear those who are in graves] – Meaning, those whose hearts are dead (due to disbelief, wicked deeds, etc.); or, just as your supplication cannot benefit the inhabitants of the graves in anything (except by Allah’s will), it cannot benefit the one who turns away – the stubborn one – in anything (except by Allah’s will), but your job is to warn and propagate what you are sent for, whether it is accepted from you or not. [An Excerpt from Tafseer As-Sadi. Slightly paraphrased]

As a result, those who follow the guidance, obey their Lord, and repent to Him are not equal to those who knowingly reject the guidance, openly defy their Lord, transgress or encourage those who disbelieve, persist upon misguidance, sin, and transgression. The Pope refrains from commenting on the conditions of Allah’s love and the causes of His displeasure out of a desire for sophistry, theological rhetoric, and popular approbation. Here are several verses in which Allah tells us about the reasons for His pleasure and displeasure due to the deeds of His servants.

Allah said:

Fight—in the path of Allāh—those who fight against you but do not transgress the limits (by killing non-combatants). Indeed, Allāh loves not the transgressors. https://www.thenoblequran.com/q/#/search/2_190

Allah said:

They ask you about menstruation. Say: that is an Adha (a harmful thing for a husband to have sexual intercourse with his wife while she is having her menses), therefore keep away from women during menses and go not unto them till they have purified (from menses and have taken a bath). And when they have purified themselves, then go in unto them as Allah has ordained for you (go in unto them in any manner as long as it is in their vagina). Truly, Allah loves those who turn unto Him in repentance and loves those who purify themselves (by taking a bath and cleaning and washing thoroughly their private parts, bodies, for their prayers, etc.). [Surah Al-Baqarah. Ayah 222]

Allah said:

Allah will destroy Riba (usury) and will give increase for Sadaqat (deeds of charity, alms, etc.) And Allah likes not the disbelievers, sinners. [Surah Al-Baqarah. Ayah 276]

Allah said:

Say (O Muhammad): “Obey Allah and the Messenger (Muhammad).” But if they turn away, then Allah does not like the disbelievers. [Surah Al-Imran. Ayah 32]

Allah said:

And many a Prophet (i.e. many from amongst the Prophets) fought (in Allah’s Cause) and along with him (fought) large bands of religious learned men. But they never lost heart for that which did befall them in Allah’s Way, nor did they weaken nor degrade themselves. And Allah loves As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.). And they said nothing but: “Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and our transgressions (in keeping our duties to You), establish our feet firmly, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk.” So Allah gave them the reward of this world and the excellent reward of the Hereafter. And Allah loves Al-Muhsinun (the good-doers). [Surah Al-Imran. Ayaat 146-148]

Allah said:

Yes, whoever fulfils his pledge and fears Allah much; verily, then Allah loves those who are Al-Muttaqun [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)]. [Surah Al-Imran. Ayah 76]

As for the true believers, they love what Allah and His Messenger love and despises what they despise. Read here about love and hate for the sake of Allah: https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2022/01/28/our-re-and-pshe-teacher-says-that-we-should-love-and-not-hate/

Observation II: Dignity: The only way to achieve dignity is to fear Allah, so be it as it may. Allah said:

O humankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, so that you may know one another. Verily, the most honourable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has the most Taqwah. Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware]. [Surah Al-Hujuraat. Aayah 13]

The Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “Indeed, Allaah [The Exalted] has removed from you the pride of the pre-Islamic period and its boasting about ancestors. One is only a pious believer or a wretched sinner. You are sons of Adam and Adam (was created from) dust. Let the people abandon boasting about their ancestors, for they are merely fuel in Jahannam; or they will become more insignificant in (the sight of) Allah than the beetle which rolls dung with its nose”. [Saheeh Sunan Abee Dawud 5116]

Indeed, it is evident the Pope’s equivocal remarks on love and dignity simply serve to confuse the issue and encourage people who participate in anal intercourse to continue committing the sin.

[5] Ideologues hiding behind journalism

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah [The Most High] said:

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah; even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allah is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you may avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do. [Surah An-Nisaa. Ayah 135]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: The hatred harboured against one’s enemies should not lead to injustice, just as love of oneself, one’s parents, and one’s relatives should not prevent a person from upholding justice against them. Therefore, harbouring hatred for someone should not lead to falsehood, and loving others should not prevent one from establishing truth, just as some of the pious predecessors said, “The just person is that one whose anger does not lead to falsehood, and whose pleasure does not divert from the truth.” (1)

Indeed, it is obvious that these ideologues, who are concealing themselves as journalists, have another goal in mind when they criticise the evil Khaarijites (ISIS, Al-Qaida, Al-Shabaab, Boko Haram, etc.). When critiquing the Khaarijites, they purposefully use terminology, concepts, and words to misrepresent the actual image of pure “Islam.” Here is a tweet along with Jason’s reply.

William Baldet @willBaldet Jul 20

Police may drop term ‘Islamist’ when describing ‘Islamist terror attacks. Proposed alternatives include’ faith claimed terrorism’, ‘terrorists abusing religious motivations’ and ‘adherents of Osama bin Laden’s ideology’. thetimes.co.uk/article/police [End of quote]

First off, Jason Burke calls the suggestion crazy in the tweet above! In this instance, his view  implies that it is a bad idea to disassociate the term Islam from the crimes of foolish and misguided Muslims! We do, after all, kindly remind him that “the actuality of lying is to convey news of something contrary to the true reality. The dissemination of information is not restricted to spoken communication; it can also occur through silent (approval) or by gestures like nodding or gesturing with the hand”. (2)

In fact, the issue is not just with the evil khaarijites (ISIS, Al-Shabaab, Boko Haram, Al-Qaida, etc.) and other ignorant Muslims who believe that the actions of these terrorists are acceptable under Islam; rather, we also have to deal with the falsehood of those ideologues, demagogues, and rabble-rousers who are desperately trying to discredit Islam in order to advance their own ideology.

Jason hesitantly remarked, “Maybe they could just call them terrorist attacks,” after insisting that the term “Islamist” should not be abandoned when discussing the crimes of the Kharijites because doing so is crazy. Yes, there is no text in the Qur’an and Sunnah that grants anyone the right to do as they please, whether acting alone or on behalf of an organisation. Therefore, the only possible explanations for these incidents are terrorist attacks, terrorists who abuse religious motivations, or followers of Usama Bin Laden’s ideology.

Even when two nations are officially at war, the Muslim ruler, his government and his army are directed with justice and fairness.

Fight—in the path of Allāh—those who fight against you but do not transgress the limits (by killing non-combatants). Indeed, Allāh loves not the transgressors. [Surah Al-Baqarah. Ayah 190] https://www.thenoblequran.com/q/#/search/2_%20190

When referring to this Ayah, Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) said, “Do not kill women, children, old men, or anyone who approaches you for peace and refrains from fighting because if you do so then you have undoubtedly transgressed.” (3)

Both the Kharijites and some governments are guilty of brutality. When America detonated its atomic bombs in 1945, the manners referred to in the preceding verse were not followed! Was this a deliberate act of violence, brutality, tyranny, or a war strategy?! It is unquestionably not what is implied by the honourable Prophet’s (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) remark that “War is a stratagem”. (4)

Imaam At-Tabari [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “It is permissible to mislead the enemy about one’s true intentions during a war by using mu’aaradah (i.e., making one’s remarks or deeds evasive or ambiguous). (5)

Ibn Abdul Barr [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “Stratagem during war occurs by means of concealment and giving (the opponent) a wrong impression”. (6)

The scholars all agree that it is acceptable to mislead the unbelievers [i.e. when two armies are at war], but that this is not acceptable if it violates a covenant or an agreement made as a safety assurance. (7)

When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) planned to embark on an expedition (against a people with whom there is no treaty and war was declared), Ka’b Bin Maalik [may Allaah be pleased with him] reported that the Prophet always pretended to be going somewhere else and would say, “War is a stratagem.” (8)

Abul Fayd [may Allaah have mercy upon him] narrated that Sulaym Ibn Amir [may Allaah have mercy upon him] reported that there was a peace treaty between Mu’aawiyah [may Allaah be pleased with him and his father] and the Byzantines. He was marching towards their country and when the covenant came to an end, he would attack them. A man came on a horse, saying, “Allah is Most Great! Allah is Most Great! Let there be fulfilment and not treachery!” Mu’aawiyah sent for him and questioned him about that. He said, “I heard Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] say, “When one has a covenant with people he must not strengthen or loosen it until its term comes to an end or he brings it to an end in agreement with them”. He said, “So Mu’aawiyah returned with the people”. (9)

Abdullah Ibn Umar [may Allaah be pleased with him and his father] reported that Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “When Allah gathers the earlier and later generations on the Day of Resurrection, He will raise a banner for every treacherous person and it will be announced that this is the treachery of this person, the son of this person” (10)

The people said to Jundub [may Allaah be pleased with him], “Advise us”. He said, “The first thing of the human body to putrefy is the abdomen, so he who can eat nothing but good food (halaal and earned lawfully) should do so, and he who does as much as he can that nothing intervenes between him and paradise by not shedding even a handful of blood [i.e. unlawful killing], should do so”. General Advice Regarding the Khawarij Terrorists by Abu Khadeejah

If Jason and his ilk really want to know the truth, this is Islam! It is free from the deceptions perpetrated by terrorists acting in the name of Islam based on misinterpretations of religious texts, free from the atrocities committed by secularists who start pointless wars, and free from the fabrications of Western ideologues, demagogues, and rabble-rousers who wish to delegitimize Islam (the infallible path ordained by the Creator) and advance their man-made ideologies.

[3] Ideologues hiding behind journalism

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah [The Most High] said:

يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يُطْفِئُوا نُورَ اللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ

They want to extinguish Allah’s Light with their mouths [i.e. the Qur’an, the pure Islamic monotheism, and the guidance Allah sent Muhammad with] but Allah will not allow it except that His Light should be perfected even though the disbelievers hate (it). [Soorah At-Tawbah: Ayah: 32]

Imaam Ibn Katheer [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: They wish to destroy the guidance and religion of truth that Allah gave His Messenger through their arguments and fabrications, so their example in this is that of someone who attempts to put out the light of the sun or the moon by blowing at them, but this (person) can never succeed in doing so. (1)

Jason Burke wrote:

Let’s start by stating that nobody has the authority to change the names and descriptions that Allah has given to the various individuals and groups among human beings and the Jinn. Al-Allaamah Saalih Al-Fawzaan [may Allah preserve him] said: Indeed, Allaah created the Jinn and humanity and endowed them with the intrinsic ability to identify Tawheed, submit to Him, and worship Him alone. However, some of them believed, while others did not.

Allah said:

He it is Who created you, then some of you are disbelievers and some of you are believers.

While Shaytaan and the proponents of evil wish them disbelief and evil, Allah wishes them Imaan and well-being. Allah [The Exalted] said:

Allaah wishes to make clear (what is lawful and what is unlawful) to you and to show you the ways of those before you, and accept your repentance, and Allaah is All-Knower, All-Wise. Allaah wishes to accept your repentance, but those who follow their lusts, wish that you (believers) should deviate tremendously away from the Right Path.

And because of this, Allah sent the Messengers, revealed the Scriptures, and established His Proofs; as a result, there are people who choose to accept the truth and embrace faith, as well as others who choose to reject the truth and embrace unbelief. Indeed, Allah has established the distinctions between believers and unbelievers in this life and the hereafter, and He forbade that the two groups be made equal. And in this life and the hereafter, Allah has outlined recompense and judgment for each of the two groups. He has given each group a distinctive name, such as Mumin for the believer, Kaafir for the disbeliever, Barrun for the upright (righteous one), Faajir for the evildoer, Mushrik for the polytheist, Muwahhid for the monotheist, Faasiq for a sinner, Munaafiq for the hypocrite, Mutee’un the obedient one and Aasee for the disobedient one. He also prohibited equating these disparate identities and attitudes. Allah said:

Or do those who earn evil deeds think that We shall hold them equal with those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds?!

Allah said:

Shall We treat those who believe (in the Oneness of Allaah Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, as Mufsidoon (those who associate partners in worship with Allah and commit crimes) on earth?! Or shall We treat the Muttaqoon (the pious ones), as the Fujjaar (criminals, disbelievers, wicked, etc)?!

That is to say, we have not made them equal since doing so would not comport with Allah’s justice.

Should we renounce the terms Kufr (disbelief), Shirk (ascribing partners to Allah), Kuffaar (unbelievers), and Mushrikeen (polytheists) found in the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and the Books of the Islamic creed? This will be against Allah and His Messenger and a violation of the Book and Sunnah. We will be associated with those who distort the Book of their Lord and the Sunnah of their Messenger if we alter the true meanings of the Shari’ah terms. What defence is then available for (such a crime)? Is it to please the unbelievers? As long as we maintain our religion, the non-believers will never be happy with us. Allah said:

They wish that you reject Faith, as they have rejected (Faith), and thus that you all become equal (like one another). (2)

Regarding Jason’s claim that “Sudan will also ban the practice of takfir by which a Muslim can be declared apostate by another and so subject to a potential death sentence,” the statement definitely needs clarification and detail because while it is true that a Muslim can declare another Muslim to be apostate and subject to the prescribed punishment, the question is who among the Muslims has the authority to do so! Indeed, Ahlus Sunnah are fully aware that Takfeer can only be made by the upright scholars of the Islamic world—those who fear Allah and refrain from speaking unless they are well-informed. Islam’s Unapologetic Position On Apostasy – [Unveiling Another Path of The Criminals and Opponents of The Messengers]: https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2022/06/11/islams-unapologetic-position-on-apostasy-unveiling-another-path-of-the-criminals-and-opponents-of-the-messengers/

Regarding the quote from Jason that reads, “The Takfir of others became a threat to the security and safety of society,” it is clear that the act of false (or unjustified) Takfir against a Muslim is a dangerous matter. All Muslim rulers must take action to shut this terrible door in order to stop the contemporary Khaarijites from using Sayyid Qutb’s, Usama Bin Ladin’s, and Ayman Az-Zawahiri’s evil ideology to overthrow Muslim governments and incite violence.

Shaikh Falaah Ismaa’eel [may Allah have mercy upon him] stated: In order to comprehend their danger, it merits noting what Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] wished if he were to encounter them and what he would do to them, despite the fact that they hail from the Ummah and from the people of the Qiblah, that he would slaughter them in a manner comparable to that of Aad and Thamood; especially when one considers what Allah’s Messenger said concerning dogs, “Had dogs not been a community amongst the communities, I would have commanded that all of them be killed”. (see footnote I) Therefore, a sensible person examines and considers what the Messenger of guidance and mercy wanted to do to these Khawaarij, notwithstanding their commitment to worship, prayer, fasting, and Qur’anic recitation, in comparison to what he prevented himself and others from doing to dogs. Indeed, this is strong evidence of the peril posed by the persistence of this idea [i.e., Fasle Takfeer] and this kind of people in the Ummah [i.e., the Khawaarij], since they weaken the Ummah and keep it preoccupied with [internal issues, strife, etc.] (3)

Footnote I: “Had dogs not been a community amongst the communities, I would have commanded that all of them be killed”.

Al-Khattaabee [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “This statement means that the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] hated that a community among the communities and a species among the creation would vanish until they all ceased to exist because, in reality, none of Allah’s creatures exist without some kind of purpose or benefit guiding their existence. Since there is no way to eliminate all of them in this situation, kill the evil ones among them – the black dog – leave the others so that you might use them as guard dogs”. [An Excerpt from Ma’aalim As-Sunan 4/132] [NB: Only the authorities in the Uk are allowed to take the life of an animal and any individual who does so will be found guilty of animal cruelty]

Dogs we can keep: Abdullah Ibn Umar [may Allaah be pleased with him and his father] said, “Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, ‘Whoever keeps a dog, except a dog for herding livestock or a dog that is trained for hunting, two qiraats [i.e. great reward] will be deducted from his reward each day’”. [Bukhaari 5163 and Muslim 1574]

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “As a result, there is no need to have a dog to guard a house if it is in the heart of a metropolis. Therefore, having a dog for this reason in such circumstances is forbidden and unlawful, and it reduces a person’s reward by one or two qiraats each day. However, it is acceptable to have a dog to protect the home and those living there if the house is in a rural area and nobody is home. It is more crucial to protect a household’s residents than its animals or agricultural produce”. [An Excerpt from Majmoo Fataawa Ibn Uthaymeen 4/246]

The Hunting Dog

Allah [The Most High] said:

They ask you [O Muhammad)] what is lawful for them [as food]. Say: “Lawful unto you are At-Tayyibat [all kind of Halal (lawful-good) foods which Allah has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, and fruits, etc.)]. And those beasts and birds of prey which you have trained as hounds, training and teaching them [to catch] in the manner as directed to you by Allaah; so eat of what they catch for you, but pronounce the Name of Allah over it, and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Swift in reckoning”. [Surah Al-Maa’idah. Aayah 4]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: Indeed, Allah declared the prey of the untrained hound to be dead meat and forbidden to consume, whereas He declared the prey of the trained hound to be permissible. This is evidence of the nobility of knowledge as Allah did not declare any prey other than that of the trained hound to be lawful. The trained and untrained hound would have been the same if it weren’t for the fact that knowledge and teaching have a unique distinguished virtue and nobility. Concocted Nonsense of a Thoughtless Dutch Moron – Geert Wilders

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Exalted] says:

Alif-Laam-Raa. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. (This is) a Book which We have revealed unto you (O Muhammad) in order that you might lead mankind out of darkness by their Lord’s Leave to the Path of the All-Mighty, the Owner of all Praise. Allah to Whom belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth! And woe unto the disbelievers from a severe torment. Those who prefer the life of this world instead of the Hereafter, and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah (i.e. Islam) and seek crookedness therein – They are far astray. [Surah Ibraaheem. Aayaat 1-3]

At present, the thoughtless Danish moron – Geert Wilders – calls a Muslim leader an Islamofascist!

Indeed, every charlatan who attempts to misrepresent Islam is driven to carry out the diabolical suggestions of “French King Louis IX, who was captured in 1250 while on a crusade against the Muslims of Egypt. After paying a significant ransom, he was eventually freed from prison. But while he was imprisoned, he used the time to plan ways to undermine Islam and Muslims, so the devil inspired him with the following schemes: first, the battle between Western Christians and Muslims should be replaced with a conflict over ideas and culture. Second, prepare the West to pervert Islam’s reputation around the world and damage Muslims’ religious beliefs”. (1)

Second, it is undeniable that one tactic used by the openly hostile to Islam, particularly those lying under the call to moderation, tolerance, and liberty, is the attribution of ideas and conceptions to Islam without guidance from Allah and His Messenger. Additionally, some Muslims also commit this mistake as Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi [may Allaah preserve him] stated: “Those who carry seductive slogans in the name of Islam, such as Islamic socialism, Islamic democracy, the call for religious harmony, and many other misguided claims made in the name of Islam, are among the liars of this era, along with political figures like the secularists and Baathists [Arab Nationalists]. This occurs among organizations that claim that their goals are to elevate Islam and restore the Islamic Ummah to its former splendor, but they only serve to lead more people astray and into darkness, and Allah’s Refuge is sought! The Muslims and scholars have a duty to be exceedingly watchful of all of these types of persons, warn the Muslims about their plots and intentions, and reveal their secrets because this puts the community and the youth at greater risk”. (2)

Therefore, the true meaning of Islam must be made public and then distinguished from everything that is not in accordance with it in order to expose the lies of these declared opponents, such as the thoughtless Danish moron Geert Wilders. What is the meaning of Islam? Islam means Al-Istislaam (to submit) to Allaah with Tawheed (i.e. pure Islamic monotheism), obey Him, and keep away from Shirk and the people of Shirk. Allaah [The Exalted] stated about Prophet Ibraaheem [peace be upon him]:

And (remember) when Ibrahim (Abraham) said to his father and his people: “Verily, I am innocent of what you worship, except Him (i.e. I worship none but Allah Alone) Who did create me, and verily, He will guide me.” And he made it [i.e. La ilaha ill-Allah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah Alone)] a Word lasting among his offspring (True Monotheism), that they may turn back (i.e. to repent to Allah or receive admonition). [Surah Az-Zukhruf. Aayaat 26-28]

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

Say (O Muhammad): “O people of the Scripture: Come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but Allah, and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allah. Then, if they turn away, say: “Bear witness that we are Muslims.” [Surah Aal Imraan. Aayah 64] (3)

This is Islaam – submission to the Creator, worshipping Him alone, obeying Him alone without reservation, and avoiding Shirk and its adherents.

What is Fascism? They say that it is a way of organizing a society in which a government ruled by a dictator controls the lives of the people and in which people are not allowed to disagree with the government; a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition. A political system based on a very powerful leader, state control, and being extremely proud of country and race, and in which political opposition is not allowed.

Let’s make a few quick observations regarding the thorough and distinct definition provided above. Islam is neither a political theory nor a political movement, and Islamic authority does not rely on autocracy; rather, both the ruler and the subject are expected to adhere to everything revealed in the Qur’aan and the authentic Sunnah.

Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] said:

Verily! Allah commands that you should render back the trusts to those, to whom they are due; and that when you judge between men, you judge with justice. Verily, how excellent is the teaching which He (Allah) gives you! Truly, Allah is Ever All-Hearer, All-Seer. O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger (Muhammad), and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority. (And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allah and His Messenger, if you believe in Allah and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for the final determination. [Surah An-Nisaa. Aayaat 58-59]

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: The first verse, according to the scholars, was revealed in relation to the rulers; it commands them to return trusts to those to whom they are due and to decide between the people justly. The second verse was revealed in reference to those who are under the ruler’s authority, including the armies and those who were not. It states that they are required to obey the rulers who uphold justice in their decisions, rulings, military campaigns, and other matters, with the exception of times when they give orders to disobey Allah, as there cannot be obedience to the creation while disobeying Allah. And if they disagree on anything, they should refer back to Allah’s Book and His Messenger’s Sunnah. If the rulers fail to achieve this, then they will only be obeyed in accordance with obeying Allah and His Messenger, and their rights will be fulfilled in accordance with what Allah and His Messenger instructed, with the result that they will be supported in righteousness and piety but not in sin and transgression. In addition, a strong leader is something that is desired because, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Verily, the leader is a shield behind whom they fight and he protects them. If he commands (people to) fear Allaah [The Exalted] and justice, then he will have a reward. If he commands something else, then it will be against him”. [Ṣaḥeeh Muslim 1841]

Imaam An-Nawawi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: “Meaning, he is like a shelter because he prevents the enemy from harming the Muslims, prevents the people from (harming) one another (i.e., establishes justice), protects the Muslim nation, and the people fear his authority because he will establish justice against the oppressor. “Behind whom they fight,” means that they stand by him in their struggle against the unbelievers (i.e. those at war with his nation), the rebels, the Khaarijites, and all other instigators of injustice and corruption. (5)

Regarding the coercive repression of opposition, the believer has been given a pure approach to dealing with unjust governments. Read the article by Shaikh Abu Khadeejah [may Allaah preserve him]: https://abukhadeejah.com/the-tyranny-of-the-rulers-a-reason-for-rebellion/

With regards to the mention of philosophy or a political ideology found in the definition of Fascism, then indeed, Islam is innocent of that which they necessitate. Islam is not a set of ideas and it is free from the requirements that the definition of fascism makes reference to in terms of philosophy or a political ideology; rather it is a divine revelation revealed by the Creator (Allah) in the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah of the noble Messenger, who never speaks out of his own desires. Allah said:

Nor does he speak out of the desire (of his own soul) (and forge revelation thereby); it is nothing but revelation revealed to him (containing guidance, rectitude and piety which he follows). [Shaikh Abu Iyad: https://www.thenoblequran.com/q/#/verse/53/3 ]

“Concepts or ideas can be contested, rejected, disapproved, etc., and submitted for discussion. It may be right or wrong. Due to the fact that an idea or concept is something that is particularly linked to the creation (i.e., humankind and Jinn), as well as the fact that an idea or thought might be right or wrong, it is not acceptable to associate Islam with the words “idea” or “thought.” The Sharee’ah [the infallible divine law, belief, and acts of worship] as transmitted by the last Messenger from the Qur’an, and the authentic Sunnah is infallible”. (6)

How can fascism be linked to Islam when everything included in the concept of fascism is in direct opposition to what Islam commands? However, the thoughtless moron Geert Wilders uses the term without any justification; rather, he is one who is filled with hatred, therefore anything he says is only a reflection of what is concealed in his heart. Allah says:

Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse. (Surah Al-Imran. Ayah 118]

Allah said:

They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah refuses except to perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it. (Surah At-Tawbah. Ayah 32)

Finally, we ask Allah:
رَبَّنَا لَا تَجۡعَلۡنَا فِتۡنَةً۬ لِّلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
وَنَجِّنَا بِرَحۡمَتِكَ مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِينَ

Our Lord, make us not [objects of] trial for the wrongdoing people, and save us by Your Mercy from the disbelieving folk.

Has Yahyah Al-Hajuri Al-Haddaadi Openly Repented from One of These Excesses?!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [may Allaah have mercy upon him] stated in his Tafseer of Juz Amma that (Allaah began with the mention) of Abu Lahab’s two hands: “Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab” because they are the instruments of work and movement, giving and taking.

Likewise, we find the scholars mentioning that Allaah rebuked Abu Lahab with this great rebuke, which is ignominy for him in this life and the next- a complete loss and wretchedness, and he will achieve no success. He died a disbeliever and was not benefited by his worldly possessions.

Yahyah Al-Haddaadi [may Allaah guide him] supplicated against Shaikh Abdullaah Al-Bukhaari [may Allaah preserve him], whilst seeking to defend his Haddaadiyyah: Click here and listen here:

The Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said: “The over-stringent ones are destroyed”. Imaam Nawawi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “The over-stringent ones are those who look too deeply (into affairs) and are excessive- those who exceed the Hudood [prescribed legislated sharia boundaries] in their statements and actions”. Must recall “The Three Main Causes of Corruption” in human societies when speaking about mass shootings

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

The Basis of all corruption – [Shirk, Injustice and Indecency]:

Shirk Occurs Due to The Heart’s Attachment to Other Than Allaah, Injustice Occurs Due to Intense Unrestrained Anger and Indecency Occurs Due to Intense Urge Towards Vain Desires

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: The basis of all sins – major and minor – are three: the heart’s attachment to other than Allaah, going along with the intense strength of one’s anger and the intense urge of one’s desires. These three affairs embody Shirk, injustice and indecency. Shirk and invoking other than Allaah is the ultimate affair related to the heart’s attachment to other than Allaah, murder is the ultimate affair related one’s intense anger and fornication is the ultimate affair related to the intense urge of one’s desires, and because of this, Allaah mentioned the three together in the Aayah:

[وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَدۡعُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ وَلَا يَقۡتُلُونَ ٱلنَّفۡسَ ٱلَّتِى حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَا يَزۡنُونَ – And those who do not invoke any other ilah (god) along with Allah, nor kill such life as Allah has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit illegal sexual intercourse]. [Surah Al-Furqaan. Aayah 68]

These three affairs invite to one another – Shirk inevitably leads to injustice and indecency, just as Tawheed (pure Islamic Monotheism) and Ikhlaas (sincerity) turns a person away from them. Allaah [The Exalted] stated (about Prophet Yusuf – peace be upon him- when he was seduced by the wife of the king): [ڪَذَٲلِكَ لِنَصۡرِفَ عَنۡهُ ٱلسُّوٓءَ وَٱلۡفَحۡشَآءَ‌ۚ إِنَّهُ ۥ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ – Thus it was, that We might turn away from him evil and indecency. Surely, he was one of Our chosen, guided slaves]- Meaning, turned away from infatuation and illegal sexual intercourse. (1) This shows that sincere devotion to Allaah is a means to repelling evil. And because of this, some of the pious predecessors said, “Infatuation is an agitation in empty hearts”, meaning, hearts emptied of other than what they crave for. (2)

Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allaah have mercy upon him] stated: If the heart loves Allaah and devotes all the religion sincerely to Allaah, it will not give a share of this love to anyone else, let alone being afflicted with infatuation, but when afflicted with infatuation, then that is due to its deficient love of Allaah”. (2.1)

He also stated: Those people whose hearts are infatuated with images are to receive the greatest punishment and the smallest reward, because if the heart of the one who is infatuated with images continues to be attached and is enslaved by it, then various types of evils, loss and corruption will be gathered for him, which none can enumerate except Allaah. And even if he is safe from committing a major lewd act, the continuous attachment of the heart to the image without committing a lewd act is a greater than the harm that afflicts a person who commits a sin and then repents, and thus the effect of that sin ceases to exist in his heart. The greatest aspect of this calamity is when the heart turns away from Allaah, because indeed when the heart tastes the worship of Allaah and sincerity to Him, there will never be anything more sweet than it nor more tasty and enjoyable. A person does not abandon something beloved to him except due to another beloved thing which is more beloved to him or due to fearing harm. The heart is turned away from a corrupt love by an upright love or due to fearing harm. [Thus it was, that We might turn away from him (i.e. Prophet Yusuf (peace be upon him) evil and illegal sexual intercourse. Surely, he was one of Our chosen, guided slaves]. [Surah Yusuf. Aayah 24] So, Allaah turned His servant away from that which would plunge one into evil due to inclining towards an image and being attached to it, and turns him away from lewd conduct due to his sincere devotion to Allaah. This is why this can occur before a person tastes the sweetness of servitude to Allaah and sincerity to Him – when one is overcome by his soul through following its (evil) desires, but when one tastes the sweetness of sincerity to Allaah and his heart becomes strong, it subdues its desires without the great remedy (needed for) rectification”.(2.2)

Likewise, injustice inevitably leads to Shirk and indecency, because Shirk is the greatest injustice just as Tawheed is the greatest justice. Justice is a companion of Tawheed and injustice is a companion of Shirk, and this is why Allaah mentioned both together. Allaah stated about Tawheed: [شَهِدَ ٱللَّهُ أَنَّهُ ۥ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَٱلۡمَلَـٰٓٮِٕكَةُ وَأُوْلُواْ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ قَآٮِٕمَۢا بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ – Allah bears witness that Laa ilaaha illaa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), and the angels, and those having knowledge (also give this witness); (He is always) maintaining His creation in Justice]. As for injustice and Shirk, Allaah said: [إِنَّ ٱلشِّرۡكَ لَظُلۡمٌ عَظِيمٌ۬ – Verily, Shirk is great injustice]. Surah Luqmaan. Aayah 13]

Indecency leads to Shirk and Injustice, especially when there is a strong desire that cannot be reached except through some type of injustice, such as seeking help through magic and shaytaan. Allaah mentioned both fornication and Shirk together in the Aayah: [ٱلزَّانِى لَا يَنكِحُ إِلَّا زَانِيَةً أَوۡ مُشۡرِكَةً۬ وَٱلزَّانِيَةُ لَا يَنكِحُهَآ إِلَّا زَانٍ أَوۡ مُشۡرِكٌ۬‌ۚ وَحُرِّمَ ذَٲلِكَ عَلَى ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ – The adulterer marries not but an adulteress; or a female polytheist and the adulteress none marries her except an adulterer or a male polytheist [and that means that the man who agrees to marry (have a sexual relation with) a female polytheist, pagan or idolatress) or a prostitute, then surely he is either an adulterer, or a polytheist)]. And the woman who agrees to marry (have a sexual relation with) a male polytheist or an adulterer, then she is either a prostitute or a female polytheist)]. Such a thing is forbidden to the believers (of Islamic Monotheism)]. [Surah An-Noor. Aayah 3]

These three affairs [i.e. shirk, indecency and injustice] can either be the cause of one another or inevitably lead to one another. This is why whenever Tawheed in the heart is weaker and the Shirk in it is greater, it commits more indecency, becomes stronger in its attachment to images and infatuated with them. Allaah said:

So whatever you have been given is but a passing enjoyment for this worldly life, but that which is with Allah (Paradise) is better and more lasting for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and put their trust in their Lord (concerning all of their affairs). And those who avoid the greater sins and indecency, and when they are angry, they forgive. [Surah Ash-Shooraa. Aayaat 36-37]

Allaah informed us that what He has with Him (of reward in the Hereafter) is better for the one who believes in Him and relies upon him, and that is Tawheed. Then Allaah said: [وَٱلَّذِينَ يَجۡتَنِبُونَ كَبَـٰٓٮِٕرَ ٱلۡإِثۡمِ وَٱلۡفَوَٲحِشَ – And those who avoid the greater sins and indecency] – Meaning, avoid the intense urge towards lowly desires. Then Allaah said: [وَإِذَا مَا غَضِبُواْ هُمۡ يَغۡفِرُونَ – And when they are angry, they pardon]. This opposes the intense strength of anger. So, Allaah mentioned Tawheed, pardon and justice together, and they are that which gathers every good. (3)

Guidance of The Infallible Messenger Regarding Weapons

Abdullah [may Alaah be pleased with him] narrated that Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “Whoever takes up arms against us is not from us”. (4)

Abu Hurairah [may Allaah be pleased with him] narrated that the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “None of you should point towards his Muslim brother with a weapon, because he does not know shaytaan may tempt him to hit him and thus he falls into a pit of fire (Hell)”. (5)

Abu Huraira [may Allaah be pleased with him] reported that Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “He who points a weapon towards his brother, the angels invoke curse upon him, even if he is his real brother, so long as he does not abandon it (the pointing of weapon towards one’s brother Muslim)”. (6)

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [may Allaah have mercy upon him] stated: The first and second narrations show the prohibition of engaging in what may lead to evil for your Muslim brother; neither (should this be done) with weapons, sticks, nor anything else. It is obligatory to honour a Muslim and be cautious of bringing evil to him through deed or statement, and that includes pointing at him with an iron (object) or weapon, even jokingly. It is not permissible, because shaytaan may incite and make it fair seeming for one to strike his brother, or seduce him to do something with the weapon in his hand (whilst he is pointing it at his brother) and thus it dislodges without choice and he hits his brother. In the last hadith, “He who pointed a weapon towards his brother is cursed by the angels”. This warrants caution, an obligation to be cautious and that this (pointing a weapon at a person) is one of the major sins. And this is not due to anything other than to preserve the sanctity of his brother. All affairs of a Muslim are inviolable for his brother in faith: his blood, wealth and honour. His sanctity is great, therefore, it is neither permissible to oppress him, whether through statement or deed, nor expose him to something that may cause evil for him, such as pointing at him with a weapon, an iron (object) or something heavy, or trying playfully to throw him off a roof, a wall, or the like, or from a palm tree. All of this may cause evil for him, even if one is joking, because great evil might occur through joking. Also in the second hadith, the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] forbade that the sword is unsheathed. If one wants to hand it to his brother, he should put it in its sheath and then give it to him, because he may give it to him and it falls between them- falls from this one or that one, and hits one of them. (7)

Narrated Sufyan: I said to Amr, “O Abu Muhammad! Did you hear Jabir Bin Abdullah saying, “A man carrying arrows passed through the mosque and Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said to him, ‘Hold the arrows by their heads!’ Amr replied, ‘Yes’. (8)

Narrated Jabir: A man passed through the mosque whilst carrying arrows, the heads of which were exposed (protruding). The man was ordered (by the Prophet) to hold the iron heads so that it might not scratch (injure) any Muslim. (9)

Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “If anyone of you passed through our mosque or through our market while carrying arrows, he should hold the iron heads”, or said, “he should hold (their heads) firmly with his hand lest he should injure one of the Muslims with it”. (10)

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [may Allaah have mercy upon him] stated regarding a deed of some foolish people with cars: “Speeding towards a person who is standing, sitting, or lying down to jest with him; then he turns it around when he gets close to him in order not to run him over. This is also forbidden, just like pointing with an iron (object), because he does not know that perhaps shaytaan seduces him to do something with his hand and he loses control of the car, and thus he falls into a pit of fire (i.e. due to harming another person). And with regards to what (is not permissble) is to set a dog on someone (jokingly whilst the dog is on leash). A person has a dog and another person comes to him as a visitor or so on, so he sets the dog on him (out of jesting whilst the dog is on leash), because the dog may proceed to bite this man or wound him, and he (i.e. the owner) will not be able to stop it after that. Therefore, what is important is that all causes of destruction are prohibited, whether one is serious or joking, as evidenced by the hadeeth of Abu Hurairah. (11)

Murder and Bloodshed

Allaah [The Most High] said:

وَمَنْ يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِنًا مُتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَاؤُهُ جَهَنَّمُ خَالِدًا فِيهَا وَغَضِبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَعَنَهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُ عَذَابًا عَظِيمًا

And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell to abide therein, and the Wrath and the Curse of Allah are upon him, and a great punishment is prepared for him. [Surah An-Nisaa. Aayah 93]

Ibn Abbaas [may Allaah be pleased with him and his father] reported that the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “The one who was murdered will come with the scalp and head of his killer in his hand on the Day of Resurrection, his jugular vein flowing with blood and saying, ‘O Lord! This one killed me!’ And he will draw near to the Throne.” They (i.e. the people) mentioned repentance to Ibn Abbaas, so he recited the Aayah, [وَمَنْ يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِنًا مُتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَاؤُهُ جَهَنَّمُ – Whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell]; then he said, “This Aayah has not been abrogated or replaced, so where is his repentance?” [Saheeh Sunan At-Tirmidhee 3029]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “And that which is established with fact regarding this matter is that murder is attached to (violation) of three rights: the right of Allaah, the right of the victim and the right of the heir. If the murderer voluntarily hands over himself to the heir, shows remorse for what he has done out of fear of Allaah and repents sincerely, then Allaah’s right is waivered through repentance. And heir’s right is that he can seek retaliation (i.e. via the Islamic sharee’ah), reconciliation or he (or she) can pardon. Then what remains is the victim’s right, (which) Allaah will recompense for him on the Day of Judgement from His servant who is a repentant person and a good-doer, and rectify affairs between them, so neither the right of the victim nor the repentance of the murderer is nullified”. (12)

Allaah [The Exalted] said:
مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا

If anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land – it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind. [Surah Al-Maa’idah. Aayah 32]

Imaam As-Sadi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: This means that the killer has no justification to kill, and none should kill another person unless he has a justified reason (i.e. based on the law of the land) to do so. If a person is bold enough to kill someone who does not deserve to be killed, then this implies that he does make a distinction between the one He killed and other than him; rather he would commit this act whenever his evil calls him to that. Therefore, his bold attitude that led him to kill is as if he has killed all humankind. On the other hand, if a person saves a life and does not kill – whilst his soul calls him to do so – due to fear of Allaah, then this is as if he has saved the lives of all humankind, because the fear of Allaah he possesses stops him killing one who does not deserve to be killed. (13)

Abdullah Bin Mas’ud [may Allaah be pleased with him] said that Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “The first (thing) that will be decided among people on the Day of Judgment will pertain to bloodshed”. (14)

Imaam An-Nawawi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “This hadith shows the severeness of bloodshed and that it will be the first thing that will be judged between people on the Day of Resurrection because of its greatness and extreme danger. This hadith does not contradict the well-known hadith in the Sunan that “The first thing a person will be questioned about is the prayer”, because this hadeeth is about an affair between Allaah and the person, whereas the first hadeeth (i.e. judgement in matters related to bloodshed) is an affair between the people”. (15)

The Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “The termination of the world means less to Allah than the killing of a Muslim“. (16)

Amr Ibn Al-Hamiq [may Allaah be pleased with him] reported that Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “Whenever a man promises safety for another man’s life and then kills him, I disavow myself from him even if the victim was a disbeliever (in Islam). (17)

Finally, Abu Bakr [may Allaah be pleased with him] said, “O Allaah’s Messenger! Teach me what to say in morning and afternoon”. He said, “O Abu Bakr! Do say:

‘O Allah! Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, there is none worthy of worship except You, Lord of everything and its Owner, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my soul and from the evil of Shaitan and his Shirk, or that I should do some evil to myself or bring it upon a Muslim'”.
