The affliction that will enter homes at the end of time

Usamah, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “Once the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, stood at the top of a (lookout from upon one) castle amongst the castles (or the high buildings) of Medina and said, “Do you see what I see? (No doubt) I see the spots where afflictions will take place among your houses (and these afflictions will be) as numerous as the spots where raindrops fall.” [Al-Bukhari 1878 and Muslim 2885]

Al-Allamah Salih Al-Fawzan, may Allah preserve him, stated in his explanation of this hadith:

The prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, possessed miracles, and among them is this one: The prophet stood at the top of a lookout, meaning, a high castle among the lookouts of Madinah. There were lookouts over there (i.e. Madinah) and they are strong towers where they would observe the enemy’s (movements, circumstances, situation). They would climb up these towers to watch the approaching enemy.

He, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, climbed onto one of them and said: “Do you see what I see?” They replied: “No”. (This is) is because they cannot see what the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah, sees; this is from [خصائصه ] and [معجزاته]. [Footnote a]

This (i.e. the statement “do you see what I see”) is a warning to the Ummah. He said: “(No doubt) I see the spots where afflictions will take place among your houses”, upon or close to your homes, because Fitna (affliction, temptation, etc) will engulf the people in their houses. This serves as a warning from him, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, that there will be Fitan (afflictions) that will reach the people.

What is common (or what normally takes place) is that when people stay in their homes, they are safe from Fitan, but when they exit them, they are exposed to Fitan, it afflicts them; however, the houses are not safeguraded from this (specific fitna). These are Fitan that will reach the people in their homes, while they are dwelling in them. This – and Allah knows best- is during the end times when media, satellite broadcasting, have advanced, as they say that evil can easily spread through these channels, reaching homes via screens and devices that relate events. The person looks at it while he is in his home- while he is at the furthest region of the earth- as if he is present at the scene. [Footnote b]

The Messenger does not speak out of desire, and indeed, this is something that will occur, and Fitan will invade the homes, entering them. This serves as a warning- a notification from him, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, to warn people. When these widespread Fitan arise, a person must be vigilant and protect his home from these Fitan. This carries difficulty, but with patience and hoping for Allah’s reward, Allah will aid him. وله عن
أُسَامَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ أَشْرَفَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى أُطُمٍ مِنْ آطَامِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَقَالَ ‏ “‏ هَلْ تَرَوْنَ مَا أَرَى إِنِّي لأَرَى مَوَاقِعَ الْفِتَنِ خِلاَلَ بُيُوتِكُمْ كَمَوَاقِعِ الْقَطْرِ
النبي له معجزات، ومن ذلك هذه المعجزة: أشرف النبي على اطم يعنى قصر مرتفع من اطام المدينة، كانت فيها أطام، وهي أبراج قوية يرقبون فيها أحوال العدو، يصعدون عليها، ويرتفعون عليها، ينظرون العدو المقبل عليهم
صعد على واحد منها، فقال: هل ترون ما أرى ، قالوا : لا. لأنهم لا يرون ما يراه الرسول، هذا من خصائصه ومعجزاته وهذا من باب التحذير للأمة
قال: (إِنِّي لَأَرَى مَوَاقِعَ الفِتَنِ خِلالُ بُيُوتِكُمْ) عند أو قريب من بيوتكم لأن الفتنة ستغشى الناس في بيوتهم، وهذا تحذير منه أنه سيكون
هناك فتن تصل إلى الناس
العادة أن الناس إذا بقوا في بيوتهم، يسلمون من الفتن، إذا خرجوا منها وتعرضوا للفتن، تصيبهم، لكن هذه لا تقي منها البيوت، هذه فتن تصل إلى الناس في بيوتهم، وهم ساكنون فيها، وهذا والله أعلم – في آخر الزمان، إذا تطورت وسائل الإعلام والبث الفضائي والأقمار الصناعية – كما يقولون،
فإن الشر ينتقل معها بسهولة، ويصل إلى البيوت بواسطة الشاشات بواسطة المعدات التي تنقل الأحداث، ينظر إليها الإنسان وهو في بيته، وهي في أقصى الأرض كأنه موجود عندها
والرسول لا ينطق عن الهوى، وإن هذا شيء سيحصل وإن الفتن ستغزو البيوت، تدخل عليها، وهذا من باب التحذير، هذا إخبار منه يحذر الناس، عند وجود هذه الفتن المنتشرة الإنسان يأخذ حذره، ويصون بيته من وصول هذه الفتن إليه، وهذا فيه صعوبة، ولكن مع الصبر والاحتساب يعينه الله

Hafs Bin Humaid, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: I said to Abdullah Ibn Al- Mubarak, may Allah have mercy upon him, “How many sects has this Ummah spilt into?” He said, “The foundation of the sects are four: The shia, the haruriyyah (i.e. khawaarij), the qadariyyah and the murji’ah. The shia split into twenty-two sects, the haruriyyah split into twenty-one sects, the qadariyyah split into sixteen sects and the murji’ah split into thirteen sects. (1)

The Druze

Shaikh al-Islam Ibn Tamiyyah, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

The Druze and the Nusayris are unbelievers by consensus of the Muslim (scholars). It is not permissible to consume their slaughtered animals or to marry their women, for indeed, they are apostates. They are not Muslims, neither are they Jews nor Christians. [Footnote a]

They do not acknowledge the obligation of the five daily prayers, the fasting during Ramadan, or pilgrimage, nor do they recognise the prohibitions established by Allah and His Messenger regarding dead meat, alcohol, and other matters. Even if they profess the two testimonies of faith alongside these beliefs, they are deemed unbelievers by the consensus of the Muslim (scholars).

The Druze are followers of Hashtakin al-Darzi, a freed slave of the ruler, who sent him to the people of the valley of “Taym Allah Ibn Thalabah” to call them to the divinity of of the ruler, whom they refer to as the All-Knowing Creator, swearing oaths by him. They are part of the Isma’iliyyah (Shittes) claiming that Muhammad Ibn Ismail abrogated the Shariah of (Prophet) Muhammad the son Abdullah. Their disbelief is greater than those of the extremists (i.e. the most extreme Shiites), as they assert the eternity of the world, deny resurrection, and reject the obligations and prohibitions of Islam.

They are associated with the Qaramitah and the Batiniyyah, whose disbelief is more severe than that of the Jews, Christians, and the polytheists of Arabia. Their ultimate affair is philosophers in the path of Aristotle and his ilk, or Magians. Their statements are based on the statements of the philosophers and the Magians. (2)

Imam Abdul Aziz Bin Baz, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

The Druze are ones among the people who hide the most what they are upon, concealing their religion and not making it very clear to the people. There are not aligned with the Muslims, while they feign that they are not non-Muslims, (but) what is well known is that they are polytheists and worshippers of the (Fatimid) Ubaidi ruler. They are no aligned with the Muslims and what is apparent is that they are not aligned with the Muslims. What is well known to the one who knows them is that they are not Muslims and they do not adhere to Islam as their religion. They engage in acts of worship that are outside of what the Muslims are upon and they are associated with (or connected) to the well known (Fatimid) Ubaidi ruler. This is what those familiar with them have stated. However, advising them is important – advising, calling them to the path of Allah, guiding them to good and teaching them what benefits them, hoping that Allah guides them….(3) [Footnote b]

Regime change – Beatified path to chaos, death, and destruction

Allaah [The Most High] said:

وَإِذۡ قَالَ إِبۡرَٲهِـۧمُ رَبِّ ٱجۡعَلۡ هَـٰذَا بَلَدًا ءَامِنً۬ا وَٱرۡزُقۡ أَهۡلَهُ ۥ مِنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٲتِ مَنۡ ءَامَنَ مِنۡہُم بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡأَخِرِ‌ۖ

And (remember) when Ibrahim (Abraham) said: My Lord, make this city (Makkah) a place of security and provide its people with fruits, such of them as believe in Allah and the Last Day]. [Al-Baqara. 126]

Al-Allamah Salih Al-Fawzan, may Allah protect him, said:

He (Ibrahim – peace be upon him) prioritized security in his supplication over the pursuit of sustenance because security is an essential requirement. Without security, individuals cannot truly enjoy sustenance, as fear undermines the ability to attain it. This is precisely what adversaries aim for—those who seek to destabilise Muslim societies. They wish to create division among Muslims and weaken their unity behind their leaders. This is what they desire – in the guise of promoting beneficial outcomes, rectification, and the alleviation of oppression. They do not desire good advice for the Muslims.

This is all false pretenses, as the absence of rulership would lead to widespread chaos, the proliferation of corruption, and the failure of the promised benefits. Corruption would become rampant, and rectification would be unattainable. Consequently, it is imperative for Muslims to unite under a leadership structure. Even if such leadership exhibits flaws and negligence, the populace should practice patience, as this patience serves to avert greater harm and adversity. Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: “It is not known of a group that has ever risen against their Muslim ruler without their circumstances deteriorating further after his removal.” This observation is evident in contemporary times. What is the situation of the countries where the rulers and heads of state have been removed? There has not ceased to be fear, anxiety, chaos, and bloodshed etc. [1]

This underscores the significance of safety as a fundamental necessity for individuals. Otherwise, Ibrahim, peace be upon him, would not have persistently sought Allah’s assistance in establishing it in this land. Consider the regions where a system that ensures safety has deteriorated. In such places, the populace struggles to manage their daily affairs; schools and markets remain closed, and individuals are confined to their homes. Those who have the means often seek to escape to safer locations. When inquiring with one of them, it becomes evident that they feel unable to coexist with their community and family in an environment devoid of safety.

Security can only be effectively established through two key principles: the implementation of Allah’s Laws and obedience to the rulers. The Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, elucidated this essential matter for Muslims in their lives. Irbad Sariyah, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, delivered an admonition after the morning prayer—an admonition that instilled fear in our hearts and brought tears to our eyes. A man then asked, ‘Is this a farewell sermon, and what counsel do you offer us?’ He replied, ‘I enjoin on you to fear Allah and to listen and obey, even if an Abyssinian slave is appointed as your ruler. Indeed, those among you who live long enough will witness many differences. Therefore, be cautious of newly introduced matters in the religion, for they lead to misguidance. Whoever among you observes such occurrences is obliged to adhere to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided caliphs, holding firmly to it with your molar teeth.’” [Ahmad 3/126]

This hadith lays the foundations for security within Islam, which consists of two primary components. The first is fear of Allah (The Most High), understood in its fullest and most comprehensive sense. The second component is the adherence to the rulers in matters that are just and beneficial. The fear of Allah fosters a Muslim’s relationship with Allah, their neighbours, and the surrounding environment. Conversely, the absence of Allah’s Shariah leads to chaos and moral decay. Indeed, Allah (The Mighty and Majestic) has issued a warning to those who forsake His Shariah and disobey His Messenger. Allah said:

وَضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا قَرْيَةً كَانَتْ آمِنَةً مُّطْمَئِنَّةً يَأْتِيهَا رِزْقُهَا رَغَدًا مِّن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ فَكَفَرَتْ بِأَنْعُمِ اللَّهِ فَأَذَاقَهَا اللَّهُ لِبَاسَ الْجُوعِ وَالْخَوْفِ بِمَا كَانُوا يَصْنَعُونَ

And Allah puts forward the example of a township (Makkah), that dwelt secure and well content; its provision coming to it in abundance from every place, but it (its people) denied the Favours of Allah (with ungratefulness). So Allah made it taste the extreme of hunger (famine) and fear, because of that (evil, i.e. denying Prophet Muhammad) which they (its people) used to do. [Al-Nahl. 112]

Listening to and obeying the rulers in a (positive manner) ensures that an individual’s affairs within society remain orderly. This act of compliance is intrinsically linked to fear of Allah. Al-Hasan Al-Basri, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: “Indeed, Al-Hajjaaj is a manifestation of Allah’s punishment; therefore, do not attempt to counteract Allah’s punishment with your own hands. Instead, it is essential to submit and exhibit humility, as Allah, the Most High, has stated:

[وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَاهُم بِالْعَذَابِ فَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ – And Indeed We seized them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke (Allaah) with submission to Him]. [Al-Muminun. 76]

You see a person who possesses a true understanding of security and his awareness is increased through fear of Allah, thus, he is eager to obey the rulers. However, when there is a lapse in their piety, their sense of security may diminish. Once fear of Allah is established, they they will attain the promise that Allah has mentioned (as follows):

وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِينَهُمُ الَّذِي ارْتَضَىٰ لَهُمْ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُم مِّن بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ أَمْنًا ۚ يَعْبُدُونَنِي لَا يُشْرِكُونَ بِي شَيْئًا ۚ وَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ

Allah has promised those among you who believe, and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the earth, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practise their religion, that which He has chosen for them (i.e. Islam). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they (believers) worship Me and do not associate anything (in worship) with Me. But whoever disbelieved after this, they are the Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). [Al-Nur 55]

The lack of obedience to the ruler and prioritizing personal interests over that of the ruler is among the most significant factors leading to the corruption of both the land and its inhabitants, as well as a deviation from the path of righteousness and guidance. Al Hasan Al Basri, may Allah have mercy upon him, stated, “By Allah! The establishment of religion is only possible through rulers—despite their potential for tyranny and oppression—because they rectify numerous matters through their governance that outweigh the corruption they may cause.” Imam Ibn Rajab, may Allah have mercy upon him, stated, “The worldly life holds significant benefits when rulers are followed. Disregarding the authority of rulers and prioritizing oneself through conflict or other means equates to defying Allah and His Messenger, as well as opposing the principles upheld by Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaa’ah, the righteous predecessors. The maintenance of security fosters unity and cooperation among Muslims. Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, stated:

إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَ أَخَوَيْكُمْ ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ

The believers are nothing else than brothers (in Islamic religion). So, make reconciliation between your brothers, and fear Allah, that you may receive mercy. [Al-Hujurat. 10]

Allah, The Most High, said:

وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ۚ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَيُطِيعُونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ سَيَرْحَمُهُمُ اللَّهُ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ

The believers, men and women, are Auliya’ (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another, they enjoin (on the people) Al-Ma’ruf, and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar; they perform As-Salat and give the Zakat, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah will have His Mercy on them. Surely Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise. [at-Tawbah 71]

Iman is neither a matter of wishful thinking or superficial assertions; it is a conviction that resides in the heart, evidenced by one’s actions. A true believer cannot be considered as such until he desires for his Muslim brother what he desires for himself and interacts with others in a manner he wishes to be treated. It is universally acknowledged that security is a fundamental aspiration for all; thus, it is incumbent upon a Muslim to actively seek the security of others in order to attain security and safety for himself. Furthermore, maintaining security within a community requires the fulfillment of trusts, while creating an atmosphere of insecurity equates to betrayal. Allah, the Most High, has stated:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَخُونُوا اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ وَتَخُونُوا أَمَانَاتِكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَأَوْلَادُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ عِندَهُ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِن تَتَّقُوا اللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّكُمْ فُرْقَانًا وَيُكَفِّرْ عَنكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ

O you who believe! Betray not Allah and His Messenger, nor betray knowingly your Amanat (things entrusted to you, and all the duties which Allah has ordained for you). And know that your possessions and your children are but a trial and that surely with Allah is a mighty reward. O you who believe! If you obey and fear Allah, He will grant you Furqan a criterion [(to judge between right and wrong), or (Makhraj, i.e. making a way for you to get out from every difficulty)], and will expiate for you your sins, and forgive you, and Allah is the Owner of the Great Bounty. [Al-Anfal. 27-29]

Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy upon him, said, “They [i.e. Ahlus Sunnah] know that Allah sent Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, for the benefit of the creation in this life and the next, and Allah commands rectification and not corruption”. (2)

Allah, The Exalted, said:

يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ كُونُواْ قَوَّٲمِينَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ شُہَدَآءَ لِلَّهِ وَلَوۡ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُمۡ أَوِ ٱلۡوَٲلِدَيۡنِ وَٱلۡأَقۡرَبِينَ‌ۚ إِن يَكُنۡ غَنِيًّا أَوۡ فَقِيرً۬ا فَٱللَّهُ أَوۡلَىٰ بِہِمَا‌ۖ فَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ ٱلۡهَوَىٰٓ أَن تَعۡدِلُواْ‌ۚ وَإِن تَلۡوُ ۥۤاْ أَوۡ تُعۡرِضُواْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِيرً۬ا

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah; even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allah is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you may avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do. [An-Nisaa. 135]

Indeed, it has suddenly turned into a grave issue when individuals make remarks against the IDF that are perceived as glorifying violence, while the genocide in Palestine continues unabated. The world, as promoted by Zionists and their allies among the ideologues, demagogues and rabble rouses, is one where justice is acknowledged only when it aligns with their interests, violence condemned only when it is directed at them, yet justice is overlooked when they are the ones who owe rights to others, and they conveniently ignore the violence inflicted by the IDF on Palestinians. Consider the statements made by these Zionist figures Netanyahu’s son, Yair Netanyahu, Eli Yishai, Bezalel Smotrich, Tally Gotliv, Ben Gvir Itamar, and Arieh King. Please read below:

Allah said:

مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا

If anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land – it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind. [Al-Ma’idah. 32]

Imam As-Sadi, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

If a person is bold enough to kill someone who does not deserve to be killed, this implies that he does make a distinction between the one he killed and other than him; rather he would commit this act whenever his evil calls him to that. Therefore, his bold attitude that led him to kill is as if he has killed all humankind. On the other hand, if a person saves a life and does not kill – whilst his soul calls him to do so – due to fear of Allah, this is as if he has saved the lives of all humankind because the fear of Allah he possesses stops him killing one who does not deserve to be killed. [Tafsir As-Sadi]

Allah said:

وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ وَنَعۡلَمُ مَا تُوَسۡوِسُ بِهِۦ نَفۡسُهُ ۥ‌ۖ وَنَحۡنُ أَقۡرَبُ إِلَيۡهِ مِنۡ حَبۡلِ ٱلۡوَرِيدِ
إِذۡ يَتَلَقَّى ٱلۡمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ ٱلۡيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٌ۬
مَّا يَلۡفِظُ مِن قَوۡلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيۡهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌ۬

And indeed We have created man, and We know what his ownself whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge). (Remember!) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being after he or she has attained the age of puberty), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions). Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it). [50:16-18]

Allah informed us that He alone created humans -males and females- and He knows all their state of affairs. He knows everything that is hidden about them and what their souls whisper to them. Allah is nearer to them than their jugular veins by His knowledge, even though the jugular vein is the closest thing to the human. Therefore, this should make the human being mindful of Allah -the One Who knows all the hidden affairs in the soul and heart of the human being in all circumstances. This should also make the human being shy in the presence of Allah so that he (she) is not seen committing what Allah has forbidden or abandoning what Allah has commanded. Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said, “When the son of Adam wakes up in the morning, all the limbs humble themselves before the tongue and say, ‘Fear Allah for our sake, (for) we are with you; if you are upright, we will be upright; and if you are crooked, we will become crooked’”. Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: “Whoever can guarantee (the chastity of) what is between his two jaw bones and what is between his two legs (i.e. his mouth, his tongue, and his private parts), I guarantee Paradise for him.” [2]

Al-Fudayl Ibn Iyad, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: “Neither hajj nor taking up positions during battle, nor Jihad is more difficult than restraining the tongue”. [3]

Abdullah Ibn Tawus, may Allah have mercy upon him,  said: Tawus, may Allah have mercy upon him, used to find it difficult to speak for a very long time, and he would say: “I examined my tongue and found it to be malicious”. [4]

Al-Fudayl Ibn Iyad, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: “Some of our companions used to guard their speech from one Jumu’ah to another Jumu’ah.” [5]

It was said to one of the scholars may Allah have mercy upon him,  “Indeed, you do keep quiet for a long time!” He said: “Indeed, I consider my tongue as a wild voracious animal. I fear that if I let it loose, it will hurt me.” [6]

It is said that a man argued with Al-Ahnaf Ibn Qays- may Allah have mercy upon both of them- and said: “If you say one, you will hear ten.” Al-Ahnaf replied: “But if you say ten, you will not hear one!” [7]

Ziyad Ibn Yunus, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: “By Allah, Malik, may Allah have mercy upon him, was the greatest of people in terms of honourabe behaviour, and the one who kept silent the most. When he sat down, he would not get up until he had to, and I saw him as someone who was often silent, spoke little, and guarded his tongue”. Ibn Al-Mubarak said: “Malik was the most patient in dealing with people, and he would leave what did not concern him”. [8]

Al-Hasan Bin Salih, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: “I scrutinised Al-Wara (the fear of Allah that makes one refrain from doubtful matters in order not to fall into haram) and did not find it more lacking in anything than the tongue”. [9]

Yunus Ibn Ubayd, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: “Indeed, you see a man fasting a lot, abstaining from the forbidden deeds and praying the night prayer, whilst he testifies to falsehood in the morning.”  [10]

Ibnul Mubaarak, may Allah have mercy upon him, was asked about the statement of Luqmaan, peace be upon him, to his son: ‘’If speech is from silver, then silence is from gold.” So he said: ‘’It means that if speech in obedience to Allah is from silver, then silence (to refrain from) disobedience to Allah is gold’’. Have some German ideologues learnt lessons from the heinous actions of their forefathers?!

The genocide perpetrated by German colonialists against the Namibians occurred from 1904 to 1908. During the 31 years of colonisation in Namibia, it is estimated that over 70,000 Namibians were killed. This atrocity was largely ignored by successive German Governments for nearly a century, until May 28, 2021, when former German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, representing the government, along with Chancellor Angela Merkel, publicly acknowledged these events as genocide. The majority of this genocide took place among two tribes, primarily the Herero and the Nama.

Germany sought to expand its territory, and even prior to the onset of the First World War, they were actively searching for resources to support their ambitions for global dominance. This pursuit led them to Africa, specifically to Namibia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Cameroon, Nigeria, Chad, Gabon, and Togo, during a period when Africa’s borders had not yet been delineated by the colonialists. Consequently, they briefly colonised these areas. However, one may wonder why their presence in Africa was not more prolonged. In Namibia, their intention to raise cattle resulted in the appropriation of lands belonging to two tribes, which constituted the primary means of sustenance for these communities. As a result, these tribes were dispossessed, plunged into poverty, and subjected to forced labour. This situation ultimately led to confrontations between the tribes and the colonialists, prompting the latter to perpetrate genocide under the command of General Lothar von Trotha, who orchestrated a ruthless campaign aimed at exterminating both the Herero and the Nama peoples. The massacre ensued, claiming thousands of lives.

It is noted that the primary reason the Germans did not inflict more casualties or maintain a longer presence in Africa was the imminent outbreak of the First World War, necessitating their return to Germany to engage in the conflict in Europe. By the years 1914-1918, German colonialists had lost all their African territories to either the British or the French as a consequence of the war in Europe. Around the same time, German colonialists governed a significant area of East Africa in the early 1900s known as German East Africa, which included present-day Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi. The conflict that took place between the German colonialists and the natives was referred to as the Maji Maji Rebellion, which lasted from 1905 to 1907. The reason for this conflict was because the German colonial authorities imposed heavy taxes and enforced labour, compelling the local populace to engage in cotton farming for export. This shift forced the indigenous people to abandon their own food cultivation in favour of cotton production, resulting in widespread hunger and growing resentment among the community.

So, in July 1905, when the populace could no longer tolerate their circumstances, they initiated an uprising in the Matumbi Hills, which rapidly extended throughout southern and eastern Tanzania. However, the German response was marked by extreme brutality, resulting in the massacre of individuals, the incineration of villages, and the destruction of food supplies, including the targeting of civilians. Estimates suggest that between 75,000 and 300,000 Africans perished due to starvation. Ultimately, this rebellion was suppressed by 1907, yet it significantly undermined the German perception of effortless colonial governance in Africa, contributing to their eventual withdrawal from the continent by 1918.

However, despite the government of Angela Merkel acknowledging that this incident constitutes genocide and their agreement to provide compensation, no payments have been made. This promise has been outstanding since 2013. In contrast, Germany has compensated Israel and individual Holocaust survivors. Since 1945, Germany has disbursed over $86.8 billion dollars in various forms of compensation to Israel, benefiting both Holocaust survivors and Jewish organizations. This compensation has addressed forced labour, confiscated property, and the suffering endured. Yet, regarding Namibia, although promises were made, no payments have been rendered.

Have German ideologues truly absorbed the lessons from the atrocities perpetrated by their ancestors during the violent colonial era against Namibians?! It appears that they have not gained enough valuable insights, as evidenced by their compensation to the Jews while neglecting to compensate the Namibians. Furthermore, they continue to supply arms to Netanyahu’s genocidal administration, which are employed in the killing of Palestinians, despite occasionally criticising Netanyahu’s administration for its settlement expansion. Please read further below:

Nowadays, for instance, a scholar may not denounce certain things either out of fear or for other reasons; however, he hates it in his heart. Ahlul Ahwa [the followers of vain desires – i.e. misguided people] say about him (i.e. about this scholar): agent, spy, sycophant, flatterer, and other accusations, which, by Allah, they have adopted from none other than the communists. These Asaaleeb (conducts, behaviours, ways) are not from the Asaaleeb of the Muslims. These are Asaaleeb of the communists, revolutionaries, Ba’athists, nationalists, and the misguided parties. How can a Muslim youth accept this?

Al-Allamah Salih Al-Fawzan, may Allah preserve him, stated:

It is not allowed to convey false and fabricated ahadith and attribute them to the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. This is due to the fact that many among the followers of misguidance and those who pursue vain desires fabricate narrations, use them as evidence, and claim them to be authentic to align with their desires. When authentic narrations contradict their desires, they either reject them or distort and misinterpret them (in a way that deviates from) their true meanings. This reflects the condition of the followers of misguidance – they seek out fabricated and false ahadith, present them to others, and use them as evidence to support their desires. In contrast, when faced with authentic narrations that contradict their desires, they either deny them or misplace them. Furthermore, a notable trait of a hypocrite is that he lies when he speaks; therefore, refrain from addressing the people unless you are being truthful, and avoid excessive discussion about ahadith that lack benefit, out of concern for falling into lying. The Messenger said, “It is enough lying for a man to speak of everything that he hears” [a] [1]

يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ كُونُواْ قَوَّٲمِينَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ شُہَدَآءَ لِلَّهِ وَلَوۡ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُمۡ أَوِ ٱلۡوَٲلِدَيۡنِ وَٱلۡأَقۡرَبِينَ‌ۚ إِن يَكُنۡ غَنِيًّا أَوۡ فَقِيرً۬ا فَٱللَّهُ أَوۡلَىٰ بِہِمَا‌ۖ فَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ ٱلۡهَوَىٰٓ أَن تَعۡدِلُواْ‌ۚ وَإِن تَلۡوُ ۥۤاْ أَوۡ تُعۡرِضُواْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِيرً۬ا

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah; even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allah is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you may avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do. [An-Nisaa. 135]

Indeed, the first point we want to clarify to Yisrael Medad is that our Lord has instructed us to uphold justice and bear witness to the truth, no matter who we are addressing, including Yisrael. We do not resort to emotional appeals, a victim mentality, racial or tribal affiliations, or nationalist ties to dismiss the truth and advocate for our own people based on falsehood, as this brings about the wrath and discontent of our creator. A measure of genuine fear of Allah connected to establishing justice

In this brief article, we aim to address Yisrael’s piece by focusing on what is clear rather than relying on speculation, assumptions, or exaggerations. This kind of behavior is often associated with numerous Zionist journalists and academics, particularly during the recent conflict in Palestine.

Our response: Among all groups of people, there exist certain factions that may pose a threat to others; however, this perception of danger can often be quite subjective. Consequently, each assertion of danger needs to be scrutinized to determine if it is genuine, fabricated, or if it is being used subjectively to hinder others from providing honest accounts against their community, ethnicity, clan, or tribe. Therefore, in relation to the statement made in quote number 2 by Yisrael, our primary focus should be that the discussion of apostasy between Jews and Christians ought to be referred back to the revelation for judgment, rather than relying on personal beliefs and desires. [4] Kufr (Disbelief) and Its Destructive Consequences!

Secondly, regarding the specifics of the incident referenced by Yisrael in quote 2, if it was founded on falsehoods, then it is clear that even for those who do not believe in the final Messenger, it remains unacceptable to lie about them. This applies whether the liar is a stranger, an apostate from Islam, a Muslim, a Jew, a Hindu, or anyone else, including adversaries of the victim. The crux of the matter is whether the statements made were true or false; if they are true, they should be recognised as such without inflicting oppression on any member of humanity. Conversely, if the incident involved lies, misrepresentation, and the concealment of facts aimed at putting those Jews in jeopardy, the wrongdoing of the liar would be deemed even more abhorrent. Despite the well-documented confusion, hidden agendas, and deep-seated animosity among the people of the scripture in history, we do not support any form of injustice. Therefore, while we cannot definitively determine the particulars of that event, we express the above in general terms until concrete evidence regarding the incident is presented. Allah, The Exalted, said:

ا أنزل الله من كتاب وأمرت لأعدل بينكم الله ربنا وربكم لنا أعمالنا ولكم أعمالكم لا حجة بيننا وبينكم الله يجمع بيننا وإليه المصير

So unto this (religion of Islam, alone and this Qur’an) then invite (people) (O Muhammad ), and Istaqim [(i.e. stand firm and straight on Islamic Monotheism by performing all that is ordained by Allah (good deeds, etc.), and by abstaining from all that is forbidden by Allah (sins and evil deeds, etc.)], as you are commanded, and follow not their desires but say: “I believe in whatsoever Allah has sent down of the Book [all the holy Books, this Qur’an and the Books of the old from the Tawrat (Torah), or the Injeel (Gospel) or the Pages of Ibrahim (Abraham)] and I am commanded to do justice among you, Allah is our Lord and your Lord. For us our deeds and for you your deeds. There is no dispute between us and you. Allah will assemble us (all), and to Him is the final return. [Ash-Shuraa. 15]

[وَأُمِرۡتُ لِأَعۡدِلَ بَيۡنَكُمُ‌ۖ – and I am commanded to do justice among you], Meaning, when passing judgement regarding that which you have differed between yourselves. Therefore, your enmity and hatred does not prevent me from judging with justice between you. And part of justice is that when judging between people who make different statements – amongst the people of the Scripture and others – one accepts what they possess of truth and reject what they possess of falsehood. [3] Yisrael said: A more modern example was the meeting that bi-nationalist promoter Judah L. Magnes had on May 4, 1948, with US secretary of state George Marshall. Magnes insisted “the Jewish community in Palestine is an artificial development” and “the money now contributed to the Jewish community was being used solely for war which eats up everything. Our response: Our goal on this point 3 is not to delve into the political disputes between the Jewish community and those among them who oppose Zionism. Instead, our primary focus is to confront the harmful tactics employed by Netanyahu and his associates, which involve distorting history and laying claim to what is not rightfully theirs, ultimately leading to acts of genocide. Olmert’s opinion is that there is “no purpose that can justify the expansion of these military activities.” He told his interviewer, Isaac Chotiner, that “The perception in Israel is that this is a personal war or illegitimate war that is being conducted exclusively because of the political interests of the prime minister. This is a crime.”

For good measure, he added that there is an “understanding that Netanyahu doesn’t want to reach an agreement with Hamas for the release of the hostages.” Not only are Netanyahu and the IDF indiscriminately killing Gaza civilians but, it would appear, Israel’s hostages as well, as Olmert spins it. Our response: The entire world observes the actions of the Netanyahu Regime, yet you find yourself preoccupied with the opinions of a select few among you? Should you not be more concerned about your standing before your Lord than the fear of criticism grounded in reality? Both Jews and non-Jews are aware of the unfolding events; anyone possessing a modicum of common sense and a shred of humanity can clearly discern the actions of Netanyahu in Gaza. It is as evident as the midday sun. They are engaging in war crimes and genocide! This is an undeniable truth, even if Ehud were to assert otherwise. Regardless of Ehud’s perspective, your warfare is recognised and clearly perceived as excessive, driven by an agenda to eradicate all Palestinians from their homeland, which entails murder, starvation, maiming, deceit, playing the victim, and distorting the narrative. This alone constitutes a crime, irrespective of what any influential figure may proclaim in favour or against Netanyahu. As for the actions of Hamas on October 7 against non-combatants and unarmed civilians, such behaviour cannot be justified by anyone possessing common sense or even a modicum of decency. No matter the specifics of some individuals’ actions in the IDF, it is abundantly clear to all that they have been responsible for the deaths of doctors, teachers, journalists, and others. This is widely recognised in this conflict. They have taken more lives in these professions than anyone else in recent history. Additionally, just as Netanyahu and his associates consistently exploit anti-Semitism to obscure their misdeeds and maintain a victim narrative, they have also begun to invoke this ‘blood libel card’ whenever they are justly accused of brutality. Regarding the particular targeting of women, whether this is precisely documented or not is not the crux of the matter; rather, what must be addressed is the killing that has evidently placed all doctors in harm’s way. Thus, whether the Zionist forces under Netanyahu specifically target females is irrelevant; their crimes are thoroughly documented.

Regarding the genocide, which is as evident as the midday sun, we acknowledge it and hold them responsible. As for what they perceive as mere fantasies of the past, we shall leave that to them and those who accuse them until it is clarified in the future; however, their other offenses since 1948 are glaringly apparent to all. Their deliberate starvation of the Gazans is observed by everyone, whether Jewish or non-Jewish. Even if universally denied, it remains an undeniable truth. Thus, the basis of the self-inflicted crucifixion is not caused by anyone other than those who commit acts that are recognised and condemned by all who possess even a modicum of humanity, irrespective of their race. No matter who articulates the truth of their actions, whether misguided pro-jihadis like ISIS, Al-Qaeda, or others, or anyone else, it remains a fact if the evidence is presented. The sensible hold them accountable solely for their crimes while also combating antisemitism, for both their actions and antisemitism are deemed unlawful in the sight of the Creator.
