[4] Some Terms That Might Innocently Be Utilised For Truth, But Can Also Be Utilised For Falsehood By Ahlul Bidah-[Misguided Modernists and Philosophers Disguised As Muslim Intellectuals and Islamic Thinkers]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Islaam is not a set of ideas [or thoughts], rather it is a divine revelation sent down – by the Lord of universe – in the Magnificent Qur’aan and the [authentic] Sunnah of the noble Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] – the Messenger who never speaks based on his desires, rather [إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحۡىٌ۬ يُوحَىٰ  – It [i.e. the Qur’aan and the authentic Sunnah conveyed by the Messenger (sallal laahu alayhi wasallam) is nothing else but a revelation that is inspired]. As for an idea [or thought], it can be [rejected, disapproved etc] and debated [or presented for discussion], and it may be correct or incorrect. Therefore, it is not permissible to associate Islam with the term ‘Idea [or thought] because it [idea or thought] is something specifically attributed to the creation [i.e. humankind and Jinn], because an idea [or a thought] can either be correct or  wrong. As for the Sharee’ah [i.e. the sound divine law, creed, acts of worship conveyed by the final Messenger (sallal laahu alayhi wasallam) from the Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah], it is infallible. Likewise, it is not to be said, “Islamic idea [or thought], because the scholar who has reached the level of Ijtihaad is restricted by the pure Sharee’ah, so he is not allowed to contemplate [outside the confines of the sound divine revelation] and then legislate; rather he searches and follows the legislated Islamic path of [sound] Ijtihaad in order to derive rulings. Yes, in this era of ours the term ‘Islamic thinker’ is used and what is intended by it is a person who is able to derive [sound rulings] and spread the virtues of Islaam, therefore in this case one is excused for utilising such a term; however it is better to avoid it. Refutations of Ahlus Sunnah – Shaykh Ubayd Al-Jābirī

Refutations of Ahlus Sunnah – Shaykh Ubayd Al-Jābirī

Ahlus Sunnah, their refutations are knowledge based, their refutations are knowledge based (repeated for emphasis), with evidences (which are followed i.e. authentic and relevant) to clarify the truth. And refutation of falsehood (is done) with evidences so that they are left and avoided.

Do you understand this?

These are your principles.

Sharing a Benefit With Fellow Muslim Teachers: [Three Important Affairs We Must Not Forget When Either Teaching The Physical Sciences Or When Engaged In Discussions About Them]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [rahimahullaah] said:

Indeed, that which is stated by the astronomers about the celestial bodies, their sizes and the distance between them, and that which is said about the earth [i.e. by the geologists etc] is categorized into three affairs:

[1] That which is backed by the sound knowledge based proofs [i.e. the Sharee’ah], therefore it is accepted. [2] That which the knowledge based proofs [i.e. the sharee’ah] declares to be false, therefore it is rejected. [3] That which there is no proof to either accept or reject it, therefore it is unproven until a person from the people of knowledge [i.e. upright scholars of Ahlus Sunnah] examines it [i.e. examines what it indicates based on the Book and Sunnah] to show whether it should be accepted or rejected. As for accepting it without [sound] investigation and observation, but merely accepting it by blindly following them [i.e. the astronomers, geologists etc], then this is impermissible because of the numerous mistakes that occur as a result of that, and speaking -without knowledge – about Allaah and that which He has created [i.e. the entire universe and all that is within it].

Salaficentre: Two Important Objectives to Remember- [Consistency and Solidifying What One Learns]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Shaikh Uthaymeen [rahimahullaah] stated above that one should firmly cling to the book he is reading or revising, and should firmly cling to the Shuyookh he learns from in person. Do not be a Dhawwaaq [i.e. one who quickly acquires a taste of this or that and moves on to another thing without accomplishing anything properly]- alternating to a new Shaikh every week and every month; rather determine -first and foremost- who to take knowledge from in person, then firmly cling to him after you have decided. However, you can have different Shaikhs from whom you acquire different subject matters, for example you have a Shaikh who teaches you Fiqh and you carry on being consistent in your studies; another Shaikh who teaches you Arabic Grammar and you carry on being consistent in your studies; a Shaikh in Aqeedah and you carry on being consistent in studying Aqeedah and Tawheed. The most important thing is consistency and that you refrain from quickly acquiring a taste of this or that topic without accomplishing anything properly- like that man who is a serial divorcee, for whenever he gets married and stays with the wife for seven days, he divorces her and then moves on to another woman. So, he remains for a prolonged period in his life whilst neither enjoying [a fruitful, close, intimate relationship etc] with a wife nor having children in most cases.

The Ulama Are Agreed Upon the Fact that the khawaarij Are An Evil People…..By Imaam Al-Aajurree

Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Madkhalee [may Allaah preserve him] said:

By Allaah the Ummah will not exit from its problems, the humiliation and degradation they are living in, except by way of returning to the Book of Allaah, the Sunnah of the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallaam] and the understanding of the Salafus Saalih in [dealing with] the affairs of the khawaarij and others. Imaam Al-Aajurree [rahimahullaah] said: “The scholars do not differ–past and present–that the khawaarij are an evil people, disobedient to Allaah and His Messenger, even if they [perform] the prayer, fast and strive in [carrying out] acts of worship.

If Ibnul Mubaarak [rahimahullaah] Was to Appear Amongst Us…. by Shaikh Jamaal Bin Fareehaan Al-Haarithi

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Ali Ibn Shaqeeq [rahimahullaah] said: I heard Abdullaah Ibnul Mubaarak  [rahimahullaah] saying in the midst of the people: ”Leave the narrations of the Amr Bin Thaabit because he used to revile the Salaf [i.e. the pious predecessors]”. [Muslim 1/16]

How about if Ibnul Mubaarak [rahimahullaah] was to appear amongst us [today]! What would he say about those who speak ill of the companions of the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam], such as the likes of Mawdoodi, Sayyid Qutb, Taariq Suwaydaan, Hasan bin Farhaan al-Maaliki, Abul Hasan al-Maribi al-Misri and those who defend these people or keep silent about them!
