The Sin of Accepting False Judgement In One’s Favour And Pleading On Behalf of a Treacherous Person- [By Imaam As-Sadi (rahimahullaah)]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

And eat up not one another’s property unjustly [in any illegal way e.g. stealing, robbing, deceiving, etc.], nor give bribery to the rulers [judges before presenting your cases] that you may knowingly eat up a part of the property of others sinfully. [Surah Al-Baqarah Aayah 188]

Whenever One Increases In Knowledge, Let Him or Her Remember These Two Aayaat- [A Short Faa’idah From Shaikh Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah)]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

“Regardless what level you reach in knowledge, remember the [vast amount of knowldege] left behind by the predecessors for the successors.”

Shaikh Uthaymeen [rahimahullaah] said: This [statement] is good, but we say that what is better than that is: “Regardless what level you reach in knowledge, remember the statement of Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic]:

 وَفَوْقَ كُلِّ ذِي عِلْمٍ عَلِيمٌ

But over all those endowed with knowledge is the All-Knowing [Allaah][Surah Yusuf’ Aayah 76]

And remember the other Aayah:

وَمَا أُوتِيتُم مِّنَ الْعِلْمِ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا

And of knowledge, you [mankind] have been given only a little.
[Surah Al-Israa’ Aayah 85]

Seeking After Noble Characteristics Necessitates That One Diverts His Attention From The Possessions of The People – [A Short Faa’idah From Shaikh Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah)]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

It is an aspect of having a high aspiration to [acquire noble characteristics, dignity etc] that a person does not place his eyes on what is in the hands of the people [i.e. he is not coveteous]. Some of the people have a certain [manner] of asking for wealth: If he finds something he likes in the possession of [another] person, he gets hold of it in his hand and starts moving it about, saying: “How nice [or beautiful] this is!” “MaaShaaAllaah!” “Where did you buy it?” “Can it be found in the market.” The reason behind] all this is so that it is given to him, for indeed the generous person might become shy and say: “Indeed, he [i.e. the person asking this question] did not ask, except so that I say, “Take it.”

This person – the one who places his eyes [on other people’s possessions] or asks indirectly – lowers the status of the student of knowledge and that of others.

Reality of Our Days And Nights As They Elapse – [O Allaah! Grant Us Tawfeeq to Take Heed at all Times]

Al-Hasan Al-Basri [rahimahullaah] said: ”The night and the day have not ceased to lessen the life spans and bringing close the appointed times of death.” [Jaami-ul Uloom Wal-Hikam: page: 400]

Awn Bin Abdillaah [rahimahullaah] said: Indeed, the most beneficial days the believer has in the worldly life, is the one about which he thought he would not reach its end. [Jaami-ul Uloom Wal-Hikam: page: 401]

Pathetic Time Wasters on Twitter – [Doubt-Mongers, Rumour-mongers, Guessers etc] – Are Not to Be Entertained

Imaam Maalik [rahimahullaah]:

O, would that I knew! By way of which intellect should the [evidences in the] Qur’aan and Sunnah be determined? Is it that whenever a man who can argue better than another man comes to us we take his statement and abandon the Qur’aan and the Sunnah because of him? [i.e. abandon what is already established by way of sound and unambiguous proofs and take the statement of that person]

Seek After Lawful Earnings And Do Not Spill Even a Handful of Blood – [Jundub Advised The People]

The people said to Jundub [radiyallaahu-anhu], “Advise us.” He said: “The first thing of the human body to putrefy is the abdomen, so he who can eat nothing but good food [halaal and earned lawfully] should do so, and he who does as much as he can that nothing intervenes between him and paradise by not shedding even a handful of blood [i.e. unlawful killing], should do so.”

Sharing a Benefit With Fellow Muslim Teachers: [Three Important Affairs We Must Not Forget When Either Teaching The Physical Sciences Or When Engaged In Discussions About Them]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [rahimahullaah] said:

Indeed, that which is stated by the astronomers about the celestial bodies, their sizes and the distance between them, and that which is said about the earth [i.e. by the geologists etc] is categorized into three affairs:

[1] That which is backed by the sound knowledge based proofs [i.e. the Sharee’ah], therefore it is accepted. [2] That which the knowledge based proofs [i.e. the sharee’ah] declares to be false, therefore it is rejected. [3] That which there is no proof to either accept or reject it, therefore it is unproven until a person from the people of knowledge [i.e. upright scholars of Ahlus Sunnah] examines it [i.e. examines what it indicates based on the Book and Sunnah] to show whether it should be accepted or rejected. As for accepting it without [sound] investigation and observation, but merely accepting it by blindly following them [i.e. the astronomers, geologists etc], then this is impermissible because of the numerous mistakes that occur as a result of that, and speaking -without knowledge – about Allaah and that which He has created [i.e. the entire universe and all that is within it].

Glad tidings to Those Christians Who Submitted to The Message of The Final Messenger When it Reached Them- [An Excerpt From Al-Jawaabus Saheeh]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah [The Most High] said:

And when they (who call themselves Christians) listen to what has been sent down to the Messenger (Muhammad), you see their eyes overflowing with tears because of the truth they have recognised.  They say: ”Our Lord! We believe; so write us down among the witnesses. And why should we not believe in Allaah and in that which has come to us of the truth (Islaamic Monotheism)? And we wish that our Lord will admit us (in Paradise on the Day of Resurrection) along with the righteous people. So because of what they said, Allaah rewarded them Gardens under which rivers flow (in Paradise), they will abide therein forever. Such is the reward of good-doers.”5:83-85

Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [rahimahullaah] said: Therefore, Allaah [Glorified be He] did not give a promise for reward in the Hereafter, except to those who believe in Muhammad [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam].  They are the ones about whom it is stated:

[وَإِذَا سَمِعُواْ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ تَرَىٰٓ أَعۡيُنَهُمۡ تَفِيضُ مِنَ ٱلدَّمۡعِ مِمَّا عَرَفُواْ مِنَ ٱلۡحَقِّ‌ۖ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَٱكۡتُبۡنَا مَعَ ٱلشَّـٰهِدِينَ   – And when they (who call themselves Christians) listen to what has been sent down to the Messenger, you see their eyes overflowing with tears because of the truth they have recognised.  They say: ”Our Lord! We believe; so write us down among the witnesses]. [5:83]

The witnesses are those who testify to the Messengership of Muhammad [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam]. They bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah and that Muhammad [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] is the Messenger of Allaah.  So, they are the witnesses being spoken about.  Allaah said:

”Thus We have made you [true Muslims – real believers of Islaamic Monotheism, true followers of Prophet Muhammad and his Sunnah (legal ways)], a Wasat (just) (and the best) nation, that you be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger (Muhammad) be a witness over you”. 2:143

And for that reason, Ibn Abbaas [radiyallaahu-anhu] and other than him stated [about the statement in the ayah: [فَٱكۡتُبۡنَا مَعَ ٱلشَّـٰهِدِينَ – so write us down among the witnesses]-Meaning:, ”Write us down with Muhammad [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] and his Ummah”.
