Imaam Muhammad Al-Ameen Ash-Shanqeeti’s Attitude towards the Dunyah

Imaam Muhammad Al-Ameen Ash-Shaqeetee (rahimahullaah) said: Indeed I came from the land of Shanqeet (to Saudi Arabia) and with me was a treasure which is rarely found with anyone, and that is Al-Qanaa’ah (i.e. contentment). Had I desired status I would have acquainted myself with the paths to it, but I do not prefer the worldly (treasures) over the afterlife. I do not give knowledge in order to obtain the worldly goals.

Imaam Muhammad Bin Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah) said: This is a statement from Shaikh Ash-Shanqeetee and those similar to him among the people of knowledge, for indeed they (rahimahumullaah) do not desire to ascribe piety to themselves, rather they want to benefit the people and that the people follow their example and this path, because we know that this is their situation and that of the scholars, for they do not want to ascribe themselves to piety through that(i.e. dissemination of knowledge), rather they are the furthest people from that.

A Tremendous Advice of Al-Allaamah Ahmad Bin Yahyah An-Najmi (rahimahullaah)!

Al-Allaamah Ahmad Bin Yahyah An-Najmi (rahimahullaah) said:

O people! Beautify your deeds based on the scales of the legislated Islamic Law-the scales of the Qur’aan, the Sunnah and the actions of the Salaf of the Ummah!

Examine whether you are upon the truth or whether you have abandoned it, or some of it! If you are upon the truth, then praise your Lord Who granted it to you and asked Him for steadfastness upon it. And if you have abandoned it or some of it, then take yourselves to account today before time elapses!

Remember that Allaah (The Most High) will question everyone of us regarding the response we gave to the Messengers and what we used to do!

O brothers! Indeed I call you to a call that is an upright guidance for you and out of concern for you, so that you are freed from the (groups) of illegal partisanship and return to the unrestricted truth and the Sunnah. But if you refuse, then the meeting between you and us will be in Allaah’s presence (i.e. day of judgement) and those who have wronged are going to know to what (kind of) return they will be returned. Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz Rebutted the Innovator Abdur-Rahmaan Abdul Khaaliq, For Slandering and Belittling the Saudi Ulama

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

The Mubtadi Abdur-Rahmaan Abdul khaaliq (may Allaah guide him) stated:

Indeed the group of scholars in Saudi are in a (state) of complete blindness and ignorance regarding the new problems and their Salafiyyah is Taqleediyyah (i.e. Salafiyyah based on blind following) and it is not worthy of anything.

Imaam Abdul-Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) responded:

This speech is false, for indeed the scholars of Saudi are acquainted with the problems of the era and indeed they have written a lot about it, and I am from them- Bi hamdil laah! Indeed they have written in that regard that which cannot be counted (i.e. numerous) and they- Bi Hamdil laah- are among those who are the most knowledgeable of the Madhab of Ahlus Sunnah Wal-Jamaa’ah and they follow that which the Salafus Saaleh followed in the subject matter of Tawheed, Asmaa Was-Sifaat, the subject matter of warning against bidah and in all the abwaab (areas of knowledge. Read -if you are ignorant- the Majmoo’ah of Ibn Qaasim (Ad-Durar As-Saniyyah) and the Fataawaa of our Shaikh Muhammad Bin Ibraaheem (rahimahullaah). Read what we have written in that regard (i.e. the affairs of the era) in our Fataawaa and our books are widespread among the people.

There is no doubt that what he (i.e. Abdur-Rahmaan Abdul Khaaliq) said about the scholars of Saudi is not correct- it is a mistake and a munkar (evil affair). It is obligatory upon you (i.e. Abdul Khaaliq) to recant from that and announce that in the newspapers in Kuwait and Saudi. We ask Allaah for guidance- for ourselves and you- and a return to the truth and steadfastness upon it. Indeed He (Allaah) is the best of those who are asked. [Source: Al-Majoo 8/242]

[1] Negligence towards Performance of the Congregational Prayer (in the Masjid) – by Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) said:

It has reached me that many people have indeed become negligent towards performance of the Salaah in congregation (in the Masjid), and they utilise the ease facilitated by some of the Scholars in this regard.  Therefore it is obligatory upon me to clarify the greatness of this affair and its dangerous (consequences). There is no doubt that this (negligence) is a great evil and grave danger, therefore it is obligatory upon the people of knowledge to draw attention to this (affair) and warn (the people) because it is a manifest evil and it is not permissible to keep quiet about it.

O Hasty Young Man! Know What Blameworthy Blind Following Is, Before You Accuse Others

Ibn Abdul-Barr (rahimahullaah) said:

According to the scholars, Taqleed (i.e. blind following) is other than Ittibaa. That is because Ittibaa is to follow a person based on what is apparent to you based on the superiority of his statement and soundness of his school of thought. And Taqleed is that you speak with his statement, whilst you neither know the angle of his speech nor its meaning and you reject speech besides it; or his mistake is made manifest to you, but you follow him and venerate his opposition (to the truth), whilst the corruptness of his speech is clear to you. This is what is forbidden to speak with in the religion of Allaah (The Most High).

[1] O Abu Mussab Wajdi Akkari! This is Shaikh Rabee and the Scholars Praise of him

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

—————————————————————————————————————–

This is a refutation of the doubt-mongers such as Abdullah al-Farsee, Abu Usaamah Khaleefah, Abu Mussab Wajdi Akkari and many others who use numerous methods varying in their sophistication to either make explicit accusations or to mere insinuations against Shaykh Rabee in particular and those scholars more generally who have played an instrumental role in exposing the many fake claimants to Salafiyyah who have emerged over the last two decades in order to further the cause of al-Ikhwan al-Muslimeen within Salafi audiences.

—————————————————————————————————————–

Shaykh Rabee’ bin Haadee al-Madkhalee played an instrumental role in exposing the Heretical Ash’aris and Mu’tazilis who brought the poison of fikr into this Ummah, combining it with the methodologies of organizational secrecy such as those of Jamal al-Din al-Afghani al-Baatinee. Just as the Shaykh has an instrumental role in refuting the Raafidah, the Sufees, the Khawaarij, the Modernists and other than them from the variuos opposers to the Book and the Sunnah. He was supported by the other Major Scholars in all the major issues of aqidah and manhaj with respect to which he refuted those heretical innovators, their institutions, parties and organizations.

Those scholars include Imaam al-Albaani, Imaam Ibn Baz, Imaam Ibn Uthaymeen, Imaam Muqbil bin Haadee, Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan, Shaykh Ahmad al-Najmee, Shaykh Saalih al-Luhaydaan and many others. There are people present today whose hearts are filled with hatred and resentment because their symbolic figureheads were spoken of or because their organizations and institutions which harbour evil partisanship and have oppositions to the Salafi aqidah and methodology were spoken of. And thus every faction has a reason for hatred of this Shaykh because he refuted the Jahmite Ash’aris of Egypt, the Sufees, the Khawarij and Takfiris, the Modernists and Liberalists, the Ikhwanis, the Tablighis and the enemies of the da’wah of Tawhid in general.

These people try to spread doubts and misconceptions not unlike the doubts and misconceptions spread by the Jahmiyyah against Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) – like for like (and that is the subject of an entire book). In this article we present another item of evidence indicating that Shaykh Rabee’ holds an honourable and praiseworthy position with other Scholars, in addition to the multitudes of other evidences on this website.

To be continued…In-Shaa-Allaah

Shaikh Fawzaan says: This is what they want apparently [i.e. differing and excusing one another in Issues of Aqeedah] and this is not permissible!

Question:

This questioner says: Assalaamu akaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu, some callers put forward a principle, they say that indeed it (brings about) unity: “We unite upon that which we agree and pardon each other in that which we disagree in.”

Answer:

If this agreement is (already) in Aqeedah, then yes (we can excuse each other in other issues besides Aqeedah) as differing may occur in the subsidiary issues. The Mujtahid’s (ijtihaad) is taken when he’s correct and (the ijtihad) is abandoned if he opposes what is correct. So if there is agreement on the Aqeedah and the differing is only in Fiqh and subsidiary issues then (this affair is looked at from another) an angle. [1]

However if this differing is in Aqeedah, then upon what can we agree?! We cannot agree on anything. This is what they want apparently (i.e. excuse one another in Aqeedah issues) and this is not permissible. [2]

Why Was Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) Unmarried throughout His Life? Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan clarifies

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him) was asked why Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah did not get married- was it due to [التبتل -intentionally staying away from marriage] and [التشدد -over stringency] and is his abstinence from marriage similar to the situation of the three Companions (may Allaah be pleased with them) mentioned in the following hadeeth:

[Anas ibn Maalik said: Three people came to the houses of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) asking about the worship of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). When they were told, it was as if they regarded it as too little. They said: Who are we in comparison to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)? Allaah has forgiven his past and future sins. One of them said: As for me, I will pray all night forever. Another said: I shall fast all my life and never break my fast. Another said: I shall keep away from women and never get married. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came and said: “Are you the ones who said such and such? By Allaah, I am the one who fears Allaah the most among you and I am the most pious, but I fast and I break my fast, I pray and I sleep, and I marry women. Whoever turns away from my Sunnah is not of me] [Bukhari 5063]

Answer:

If this questioner became like Shaikhul Islaam in his Jihaad and knowledge, and marriage would stop him from Dawah and Jihaad, then he is excused. Rather, indeed Shaikhul Islaam abandoned it (i.e. marriage) because he was a Mujaahid in the path of Allaah. And also he was troubled (i.e. by the people of Bidah), imprisoned and punished. He was not available for marriage (i.e. he had no time).
