If Truthful Ones are Brought to Account, How About the Liars?

Ibn al-Qayyim (d. 751 رحمه الله):

“And He, the Exalted, said: ‘…that He may ask the truthful (Allāh’s Messengers and His Prophets) about their truth (i.e. the conveyance of Allāh’s Message that which they were charged with)…’ [Surah al-Aḥzāb: Āyah 8]

So if the truthful ones are questioned and brought to account on their truthfulness, then how about the liars?”

(Ighāthatu al-Lahfān 83/1)
