Sometimes attracted towards vying for precedence in honour and leadership; captivated [or enthralled] by the one who praises him even with falsehood; shows enmity to the one who censures him even with truth; sometimes captivated [or enthralled] by Dirham and Deenaar [i.e. wealth, money].
