Bigotry, Partisanship, Deviant Methodologies, False Loyalties – Shaykh Rabī (rahimahullāh)

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

I advise you, O brothers, to abandon bigotry and partisanship toward individuals, deviant methodologies, groups, and false loyalties.

Indeed this — by Allah — tears apart the Ummah. And now, the youth who belong to the Salafi methodology are being torn apart due to bigotry and partisanship toward this individual or that individual. Indeed, your measure is the truth!

The truth is that which is established upon proof and evidence. So if you come to know the truth through any means, then bite onto it with your molar teeth, cling to it, and know that it is greater with Allah than individuals and groups. Allah loves those who love the truth and He loves those who aid it. Allah (The Glorified and Most High) aids and supports him who does so.

Therefore, be from the Party of Allah, not from the party of this or that person, no matter what status he has attained. Be from the Party of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) — those referred to in the verses which we recite at the end of Surah al-Mujadilah.

Likewise, I advise the brothers to have patience with one another, to be easy-going, and to show humility toward each other.

But none is granted it (the above quality) except those who are patient, and none is granted it except the owner of the great portion (of the happiness in the Hereafter i.e. Paradise and in this world of a high moral character). Fussilat, Verse 35

We ask Allah to make us and you firm upon the truth, to make us beloved to Him and to His close allies (awliya) from among the angels, prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, the scholars of truth and the Sunnah. We ask Allah to make disbelief, sinning, disobedience, innovation, and misguidance hateful to us, and that He place between us and these affairs a barrier. We ask Him to make us and you firm upon the Sunnah, and to remove from us the perils of trials and tribulations — both the apparent and hidden among them.

Indeed, our Lord is the Hearer of supplications.
