Imaam Muhammad Bin Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah) was asked about the terms Islamic Thought and Islamic Thinker?

Answer:

The term ‘Islamic Thought’ is amongst the terms to be warned against; since it necessitates that we make Islaam equivalent to views that can be accepted or rejected, and this is a great danger. It was introduced to us by the enemies of Islaam from where we do not know. As for the term ‘Islamic Thinker’, I do not know of its harm; because it is a description of a Muslim man, and a Muslim man has to be thoughtful. [Source: Al-Manaahiy Al-Laf-dhiyyah: Page: 115]
