[5] Ideologues hiding behind journalism

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah [The Most High] said:

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah; even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allah is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you may avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do. [Surah An-Nisaa. Ayah 135]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: The hatred harboured against one’s enemies should not lead to injustice, just as love of oneself, one’s parents, and one’s relatives should not prevent a person from upholding justice against them. Therefore, harbouring hatred for someone should not lead to falsehood, and loving others should not prevent one from establishing truth, just as some of the pious predecessors said, “The just person is that one whose anger does not lead to falsehood, and whose pleasure does not divert from the truth.” (1)

Indeed, it is obvious that these ideologues, who are concealing themselves as journalists, have another goal in mind when they criticise the evil Khaarijites (ISIS, Al-Qaida, Al-Shabaab, Boko Haram, etc.). When critiquing the Khaarijites, they purposefully use terminology, concepts, and words to misrepresent the actual image of pure “Islam.” Here is a tweet along with Jason’s reply.

William Baldet @willBaldet Jul 20

Police may drop term ‘Islamist’ when describing ‘Islamist terror attacks. Proposed alternatives include’ faith claimed terrorism’, ‘terrorists abusing religious motivations’ and ‘adherents of Osama bin Laden’s ideology’. thetimes.co.uk/article/police [End of quote]

First off, Jason Burke calls the suggestion crazy in the tweet above! In this instance, his view  implies that it is a bad idea to disassociate the term Islam from the crimes of foolish and misguided Muslims! We do, after all, kindly remind him that “the actuality of lying is to convey news of something contrary to the true reality. The dissemination of information is not restricted to spoken communication; it can also occur through silent (approval) or by gestures like nodding or gesturing with the hand”. (2)

In fact, the issue is not just with the evil khaarijites (ISIS, Al-Shabaab, Boko Haram, Al-Qaida, etc.) and other ignorant Muslims who believe that the actions of these terrorists are acceptable under Islam; rather, we also have to deal with the falsehood of those ideologues, demagogues, and rabble-rousers who are desperately trying to discredit Islam in order to advance their own ideology.

Jason hesitantly remarked, “Maybe they could just call them terrorist attacks,” after insisting that the term “Islamist” should not be abandoned when discussing the crimes of the Kharijites because doing so is crazy. Yes, there is no text in the Qur’an and Sunnah that grants anyone the right to do as they please, whether acting alone or on behalf of an organisation. Therefore, the only possible explanations for these incidents are terrorist attacks, terrorists who abuse religious motivations, or followers of Usama Bin Laden’s ideology.

Even when two nations are officially at war, the Muslim ruler, his government and his army are directed with justice and fairness.

Fight—in the path of Allāh—those who fight against you but do not transgress the limits (by killing non-combatants). Indeed, Allāh loves not the transgressors. [Surah Al-Baqarah. Ayah 190] https://www.thenoblequran.com/q/#/search/2_%20190

When referring to this Ayah, Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) said, “Do not kill women, children, old men, or anyone who approaches you for peace and refrains from fighting because if you do so then you have undoubtedly transgressed.” (3)

Both the Kharijites and some governments are guilty of brutality. When America detonated its atomic bombs in 1945, the manners referred to in the preceding verse were not followed! Was this a deliberate act of violence, brutality, tyranny, or a war strategy?! It is unquestionably not what is implied by the honourable Prophet’s (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) remark that “War is a stratagem”. (4)

Imaam At-Tabari [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “It is permissible to mislead the enemy about one’s true intentions during a war by using mu’aaradah (i.e., making one’s remarks or deeds evasive or ambiguous). (5)

Ibn Abdul Barr [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “Stratagem during war occurs by means of concealment and giving (the opponent) a wrong impression”. (6)

The scholars all agree that it is acceptable to mislead the unbelievers [i.e. when two armies are at war], but that this is not acceptable if it violates a covenant or an agreement made as a safety assurance. (7)

When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) planned to embark on an expedition (against a people with whom there is no treaty and war was declared), Ka’b Bin Maalik [may Allaah be pleased with him] reported that the Prophet always pretended to be going somewhere else and would say, “War is a stratagem.” (8)

Abul Fayd [may Allaah have mercy upon him] narrated that Sulaym Ibn Amir [may Allaah have mercy upon him] reported that there was a peace treaty between Mu’aawiyah [may Allaah be pleased with him and his father] and the Byzantines. He was marching towards their country and when the covenant came to an end, he would attack them. A man came on a horse, saying, “Allah is Most Great! Allah is Most Great! Let there be fulfilment and not treachery!” Mu’aawiyah sent for him and questioned him about that. He said, “I heard Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] say, “When one has a covenant with people he must not strengthen or loosen it until its term comes to an end or he brings it to an end in agreement with them”. He said, “So Mu’aawiyah returned with the people”. (9)

Abdullah Ibn Umar [may Allaah be pleased with him and his father] reported that Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “When Allah gathers the earlier and later generations on the Day of Resurrection, He will raise a banner for every treacherous person and it will be announced that this is the treachery of this person, the son of this person” (10)

The people said to Jundub [may Allaah be pleased with him], “Advise us”. He said, “The first thing of the human body to putrefy is the abdomen, so he who can eat nothing but good food (halaal and earned lawfully) should do so, and he who does as much as he can that nothing intervenes between him and paradise by not shedding even a handful of blood [i.e. unlawful killing], should do so”. Terrorism is NEVER Islamic | Shaykh Abu Khadeejah | Masjid Abu Hurairah Stoke

General Advice Regarding the Khawarij Terrorists by Abu Khadeejah

If Jason and his ilk really want to know the truth, this is Islam! It is free from the deceptions perpetrated by terrorists acting in the name of Islam based on misinterpretations of religious texts, free from the atrocities committed by secularists who start pointless wars, and free from the fabrications of Western ideologues, demagogues, and rabble-rousers who wish to delegitimize Islam (the infallible path ordained by the Creator) and advance their man-made ideologies.

[4] Ideologues hiding behind journalism

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Shaikhul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “The sensible person looks at the reality and not (merely) what is apparent”. (1)

The following is a review of a claim made by Jason Burke and Zeinab Muhammad in an article they wrote on Tuesday, July 21 as follows:

First and foremost, we have all seen the destructive effects of revolt. Read articles at the following links:

http://www.salafipublications.com/sps/sp.cfm?subsecID=MNJ16&articleID=MNJ160002&pfriend=

Second, in the above quote, Jason and his associate referred to Hasan At-Turaabi – a misguided caller to innovation in religious affairs – as an ‘Islamist Ideologue’. In an effort to convey his observation and analysis, Jason has once again attempted to link the word Islam with foreign ideas. Many Western ideologues, demagogues, and writers define the term “Islamist” as “a person who strongly believes in Islam, especially one who believes that Islam should influence political systems, an advocate or supporter of Islamic militancy or fundamentalism”.

Indeed, the term Islamist encompasses both truth and falsehood, so let’s take a quick look at the situation. First off, if an individual who firmly holds to Islam, particularly one who believes that Islam should affect political systems, is referred to as an “Islamist” by Western writers, then this is undoubtedly praiseworthy in the Sight of the Creator. Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee [may Allaah preserve him] said: “Whoever Allah wishes good for, He gives them an understanding of the religion. The Islamic jurisprudence books—those that cover the rulings on prayer, zakat, fasting, marriage, etc.—are what the general public interprets when this understanding of the religion is addressed. This comprehension is inadequate. Fiqh (understanding) is first and foremost the understanding of the (sound) creed and Tawheed (i.e., sound Islamic monotheism). This is the greatest level of Fiqh since the nobility of knowledge is assessed according to the nobility of its subject. Tawheed is the noblest subject because it teaches people about their Lord’s attributes and the perfection of those attributes, about His Oneness, how to worship Him (alone), and how to sincerely establish their religion for His Sake. Therefore, we seek knowledge of Tawheed from the Qur’an, the (authentic) Sunnah of Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him], and the understanding of our pious predecessors. We seek understanding in every facet of (Sharee’ah) knowledge, including what is halal and haraam, what constitutes acts of worship, how to interact with others, and how to conduct sound Islamic politics and economics. (see footnote I)  All of these issues are covered in great detail in the (message) delivered by Muhammad [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him]. The most important of these is the comprehension of Tawheed [Islamic Monotheism], and when the term “Fiqh” is used, it is meant to cover the understanding of every matter that is relevant to our religious and worldly affairs. (2)

Thus, if a Muslim firmly upholds Islam and adheres to the path described by Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee [may Allaah preserve him], then indeed, their pursuit is praiseworthy in the Sight of the Creator – the One Who revealed all the divine laws and required humankind to follow the guidance of the Prophets; however, one must keep in mind that this does not include the politics of the power-hungry Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt and others.

However, if an “Islamist” is defined by Western writers as “an advocate or supporter of militancy, radicalism, or terrorism,” then this activity is not to be attributed to Islam because Islam does not support the methodology of the khawaarij and those who are influenced by them. The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “Whoever kills one who is under an agreement of protection will not smell the fragrance of Paradise”. This hadeeth makes it quite evident that killing a non-Muslim citizen who is protected by an agreement entails the threat of punishment for a Muslim in the hereafter. Therefore, how can any sane individual attribute the actions of such a Muslim to Islam?!

As for the word “Islamic Fundamentalism,” it is widely understood by those who use it to indicate “strict observance of the teachings of the Qur’an and the Shari’ah (Islamic Law),” despite the fact that there is substantial disagreement among people regarding its meaning. So, if this is what Western authors mean when they use the term “fundamentalism,” then indeed Allah [The Exalted] said:

فَلَا وَرَبِّكَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ حَتَّىٰ يُحَكِّمُوكَ فِيمَا شَجَرَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ ثُمَّ لَا يَجِدُواْ فِىٓ أَنفُسِہِمۡ حَرَجً۬ا مِّمَّا قَضَيۡتَ وَيُسَلِّمُواْ تَسۡلِيمً۬ا

But no, by your Lord, they can have no Faith, until they make you (O Muhammad) judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept (them) with full submission. [Surah An-Nisaa. Aayah 65]

Narrated Abu Musa [may Allaah be pleased with him] that the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “My example and the example of what I have been sent with is that of a man who came to some people and said, O people! I have seen the enemy’s army with my own eyes and I am a plain warner; so protect yourselves!’ Then a group of his people obeyed him and fled at night proceeding stealthily till they were safe, while another group of them disbelieved him and stayed at their places till morning when the army came upon them and killed and ruined them completely. So this is the example of that person who obeys me and follows that truth which I have brought (the Qur’an and the Sunnah), and the example of the one who disobeys me and disbelieves the Truth I have brought”. [Saheeh Al-Bukhaari. Vol 9. Number: 7283]

Consequently, if this is what Western writers mean when they use the term “Fundamentalism,” then it is a commendable act in the Sight of Allaah [The Exalted]. However, if they mean those who advocate violence, then this is indeed the behaviour of the Khaarijites (terrorists and innovators – ISIS, Al-Qa’idah, Jabhat An-Nusra and their ilk). It is therefore required of these writers to avoid combining fact and fiction.

Third, what exactly is an ideologue? It is frequently a partisan supporter or adherent of a specific ideology, especially one that is rigid and dogmatic; someone who has strong convictions about certain values and makes a conscious effort to uphold them etc.

Islam is a revelation based on the infallible Qur’an and authentic Sunnah, and humankind has been commanded to follow it and not oppose it with their ideas, views, or those of others, whether they are referred to as ideologues or not. Allah said:

[Say (O Muhammad)]: Follow what has been sent down unto you from your Lord (the Quran and Prophet Muhammad’s Sunnah), and follow not any Auliya’ (protectors and helpers, etc. who order you to associate partners in worship with Allah), besides Him (Allah). Little do you remember! [Surah Al-A’raaf. Ayah 3]

If Jason and his blind follower had spent some time studying Hasan At-Turaabi’s methodology and had referred back to the explanations of the upright Salafi scholars, like Al-Allaamah Muqbil bin Haadi [may Allaah have mercy upon him], they would have referred to Hasan At-Turaabi as an ideologue without associating the word Islam with his methodology or orientation, or at least clarified what exactly they meant by Islamist and then made a distinction between it and the methodology of the pious predecessors. Indeed, with regard to terms mentioned in the Qur’an and Sunnah, “Every believer has a duty to affirm them and to reject what Allah and His Messenger have rejected because Allah states the truth and directs us to the right path. The words (or terms) of the Sharee’ah are sanctified, and it is from the perfection of knowledge that one seeks after the [sound meanings] that the Messenger intended by them, to affirm that which he affirmed and to negate that which he negated because it is incumbent upon us to believe and bear witness to all that he has said and to obey him in all that he has commanded. Regarding terms (or words) that are neither mentioned in the Qur’an nor the [authentic] Sunnah, nor is there any consensus among the pious predecessors as to whether they are negated or affirmed, it is not obligatory to agree with one who either negates or affirms them until the term’s intended meaning is clarified. Therefore, if the intended meaning of something is in line with the (revelation) that the Messenger conveyed, it is accepted; but if the intended meaning is in conflict with what the Messenger conveyed, it is rejected”. (3)

Jason and his blind follower must refrain from referencing Islam until they return to the religion’s legitimate sources in order to avoid committing the crime of those who fell into uncertainty. Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: “These people, whose reasonings against the Book and the Sunnah are in fact tantamount to ignorance, base their matter on ambiguous statements that carry several interpretations. Because of the wording’s generality and ambiguity, it can be used to convey both truth and falsehood; therefore, what is true in it is accepted by those who do not have a thorough understanding of what is false in it for the sake of ambiguity and conflating truth with falsehood; then with the falsehood in it, they oppose the texts of the Prophets. This is the source of the misguidance of those who went astray from the nations before us”. (4)

[3] Ideologues hiding behind journalism

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah [The Most High] said:

يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يُطْفِئُوا نُورَ اللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ

They want to extinguish Allah’s Light with their mouths [i.e. the Qur’an, the pure Islamic monotheism, and the guidance Allah sent Muhammad with] but Allah will not allow it except that His Light should be perfected even though the disbelievers hate (it). [Soorah At-Tawbah: Ayah: 32]

Imaam Ibn Katheer [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: They wish to destroy the guidance and religion of truth that Allah gave His Messenger through their arguments and fabrications, so their example in this is that of someone who attempts to put out the light of the sun or the moon by blowing at them, but this (person) can never succeed in doing so. (1)

Jason Burke wrote:

Let’s start by stating that nobody has the authority to change the names and descriptions that Allah has given to the various individuals and groups among human beings and the Jinn. Al-Allaamah Saalih Al-Fawzaan [may Allah preserve him] said: Indeed, Allaah created the Jinn and humanity and endowed them with the intrinsic ability to identify Tawheed, submit to Him, and worship Him alone. However, some of them believed, while others did not.

Allah said:

He it is Who created you, then some of you are disbelievers and some of you are believers.

While Shaytaan and the proponents of evil wish them disbelief and evil, Allah wishes them Imaan and well-being. Allah [The Exalted] said:

Allaah wishes to make clear (what is lawful and what is unlawful) to you and to show you the ways of those before you, and accept your repentance, and Allaah is All-Knower, All-Wise. Allaah wishes to accept your repentance, but those who follow their lusts, wish that you (believers) should deviate tremendously away from the Right Path.

And because of this, Allah sent the Messengers, revealed the Scriptures, and established His Proofs; as a result, there are people who choose to accept the truth and embrace faith, as well as others who choose to reject the truth and embrace unbelief. Indeed, Allah has established the distinctions between believers and unbelievers in this life and the hereafter, and He forbade that the two groups be made equal. And in this life and the hereafter, Allah has outlined recompense and judgment for each of the two groups. He has given each group a distinctive name, such as Mumin for the believer, Kaafir for the disbeliever, Barrun for the upright (righteous one), Faajir for the evildoer, Mushrik for the polytheist, Muwahhid for the monotheist, Faasiq for a sinner, Munaafiq for the hypocrite, Mutee’un the obedient one and Aasee for the disobedient one. He also prohibited equating these disparate identities and attitudes. Allah said:

Or do those who earn evil deeds think that We shall hold them equal with those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds?!

Allah said:

Shall We treat those who believe (in the Oneness of Allaah Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, as Mufsidoon (those who associate partners in worship with Allah and commit crimes) on earth?! Or shall We treat the Muttaqoon (the pious ones), as the Fujjaar (criminals, disbelievers, wicked, etc)?!

That is to say, we have not made them equal since doing so would not comport with Allah’s justice.

Should we renounce the terms Kufr (disbelief), Shirk (ascribing partners to Allah), Kuffaar (unbelievers), and Mushrikeen (polytheists) found in the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and the Books of the Islamic creed? This will be against Allah and His Messenger and a violation of the Book and Sunnah. We will be associated with those who distort the Book of their Lord and the Sunnah of their Messenger if we alter the true meanings of the Shari’ah terms. What defence is then available for (such a crime)? Is it to please the unbelievers? As long as we maintain our religion, the non-believers will never be happy with us. Allah said:

They wish that you reject Faith, as they have rejected (Faith), and thus that you all become equal (like one another). (2)

Regarding Jason’s claim that “Sudan will also ban the practice of takfir by which a Muslim can be declared apostate by another and so subject to a potential death sentence,” the statement definitely needs clarification and detail because while it is true that a Muslim can declare another Muslim to be apostate and subject to the prescribed punishment, the question is who among the Muslims has the authority to do so! Indeed, Ahlus Sunnah are fully aware that Takfeer can only be made by the upright scholars of the Islamic world—those who fear Allah and refrain from speaking unless they are well-informed. Find out who can make Takfeer and its guiding principles here:

Islam’s Unapologetic Position On Apostasy – [Unveiling Another Path of The Criminals and Opponents of The Messengers]: https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2022/06/11/islams-unapologetic-position-on-apostasy-unveiling-another-path-of-the-criminals-and-opponents-of-the-messengers/

Regarding the quote from Jason that reads, “The Takfir of others became a threat to the security and safety of society,” it is clear that the act of false (or unjustified) Takfir against a Muslim is a dangerous matter. All Muslim rulers must take action to shut this terrible door in order to stop the contemporary Khaarijites from using Sayyid Qutb’s, Usama Bin Ladin’s, and Ayman Az-Zawahiri’s evil ideology to overthrow Muslim governments and incite violence.

Shaikh Falaah Ismaa’eel [may Allah have mercy upon him] stated: In order to comprehend their danger, it merits noting what Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] wished if he were to encounter them and what he would do to them, despite the fact that they hail from the Ummah and from the people of the Qiblah, that he would slaughter them in a manner comparable to that of Aad and Thamood; especially when one considers what Allah’s Messenger said concerning dogs, “Had dogs not been a community amongst the communities, I would have commanded that all of them be killed”. (see footnote I) Therefore, a sensible person examines and considers what the Messenger of guidance and mercy wanted to do to these Khawaarij, notwithstanding their commitment to worship, prayer, fasting, and Qur’anic recitation, in comparison to what he prevented himself and others from doing to dogs. Indeed, this is strong evidence of the peril posed by the persistence of this idea [i.e., Fasle Takfeer] and this kind of people in the Ummah [i.e., the Khawaarij], since they weaken the Ummah and keep it preoccupied with [internal issues, strife, etc.] (3)

Footnote I: “Had dogs not been a community amongst the communities, I would have commanded that all of them be killed”.

Al-Khattaabee [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “This statement means that the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] hated that a community among the communities and a species among the creation would vanish until they all ceased to exist because, in reality, none of Allah’s creatures exist without some kind of purpose or benefit guiding their existence. Since there is no way to eliminate all of them in this situation, kill the evil ones among them – the black dog – leave the others so that you might use them as guard dogs”. [An Excerpt from Ma’aalim As-Sunan 4/132] [NB: Only the authorities in the Uk are allowed to take the life of an animal and any individual who does so will be found guilty of animal cruelty]

Dogs we can keep: Abdullah Ibn Umar [may Allaah be pleased with him and his father] said, “Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, ‘Whoever keeps a dog, except a dog for herding livestock or a dog that is trained for hunting, two qiraats [i.e. great reward] will be deducted from his reward each day’”. [Bukhaari 5163 and Muslim 1574]

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “As a result, there is no need to have a dog to guard a house if it is in the heart of a metropolis. Therefore, having a dog for this reason in such circumstances is forbidden and unlawful, and it reduces a person’s reward by one or two qiraats each day. However, it is acceptable to have a dog to protect the home and those living there if the house is in a rural area and nobody is home. It is more crucial to protect a household’s residents than its animals or agricultural produce”. [An Excerpt from Majmoo Fataawa Ibn Uthaymeen 4/246]

The Hunting Dog

Allah [The Most High] said:

They ask you [O Muhammad)] what is lawful for them [as food]. Say: “Lawful unto you are At-Tayyibat [all kind of Halal (lawful-good) foods which Allah has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, and fruits, etc.)]. And those beasts and birds of prey which you have trained as hounds, training and teaching them [to catch] in the manner as directed to you by Allaah; so eat of what they catch for you, but pronounce the Name of Allah over it, and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Swift in reckoning”. [Surah Al-Maa’idah. Aayah 4]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: Indeed, Allah declared the prey of the untrained hound to be dead meat and forbidden to consume, whereas He declared the prey of the trained hound to be permissible. This is evidence of the nobility of knowledge as Allah did not declare any prey other than that of the trained hound to be lawful. The trained and untrained hound would have been the same if it weren’t for the fact that knowledge and teaching have a unique distinguished virtue and nobility. The two main causes of egregious corruption and depravity in society

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Imaam Ibn al-Qayyim [may Allah have mercy upon him] stated: “Everyone who possesses even a modicum of (sound) intellect is aware that the corruption of the world and its destruction are caused by placing human opinion ahead of divine revelation and desires ahead of sound reasoning. These two evil objectives cannot be deeply ingrained in a heart without causing its complete deterioration, nor exist in a nation without entirely corrupting its affairs”.(1)

Shaikh Abu Iyaadh [may Allah preserve him] stated, “The wisdom of the Islamic Shariah: Cut off evils and harms to society from their very roots and enjoy the resulting freedom, ease, and wholesome life. In contrast: the barbarity and backwardness of commercialising corrosive evils– usurious banking, alcohol, gambling–in order to profit from the masses through affairs in which their ruin and impoverishment lies–and then managing this commercialisation through legislation, policies, guidelines and so on to “limit the harms”. The result? Inescapable enslavement, bondage, disease and ruin of the masses for the enrichment of the few who peddle these vices. Where is the intellect?!” (2)

Concocted Nonsense of a Thoughtless Dutch Moron – Geert Wilders

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Exalted] says:

Alif-Laam-Raa. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. (This is) a Book which We have revealed unto you (O Muhammad) in order that you might lead mankind out of darkness by their Lord’s Leave to the Path of the All-Mighty, the Owner of all Praise. Allah to Whom belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth! And woe unto the disbelievers from a severe torment. Those who prefer the life of this world instead of the Hereafter, and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah (i.e. Islam) and seek crookedness therein – They are far astray. [Surah Ibraaheem. Aayaat 1-3]

At present, the thoughtless Danish moron – Geert Wilders – calls a Muslim leader an Islamofascist!

Indeed, every charlatan who attempts to misrepresent Islam is driven to carry out the diabolical suggestions of “French King Louis IX, who was captured in 1250 while on a crusade against the Muslims of Egypt. After paying a significant ransom, he was eventually freed from prison. But while he was imprisoned, he used the time to plan ways to undermine Islam and Muslims, so the devil inspired him with the following schemes: first, the battle between Western Christians and Muslims should be replaced with a conflict over ideas and culture. Second, prepare the West to pervert Islam’s reputation around the world and damage Muslims’ religious beliefs”. (1)

Second, it is undeniable that one tactic used by the openly hostile to Islam, particularly those lying under the call to moderation, tolerance, and liberty, is the attribution of ideas and conceptions to Islam without guidance from Allah and His Messenger. Additionally, some Muslims also commit this mistake as Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi [may Allaah preserve him] stated: “Those who carry seductive slogans in the name of Islam, such as Islamic socialism, Islamic democracy, the call for religious harmony, and many other misguided claims made in the name of Islam, are among the liars of this era, along with political figures like the secularists and Baathists [Arab Nationalists]. This occurs among organizations that claim that their goals are to elevate Islam and restore the Islamic Ummah to its former splendor, but they only serve to lead more people astray and into darkness, and Allah’s Refuge is sought! The Muslims and scholars have a duty to be exceedingly watchful of all of these types of persons, warn the Muslims about their plots and intentions, and reveal their secrets because this puts the community and the youth at greater risk”. (2)

Therefore, the true meaning of Islam must be made public and then distinguished from everything that is not in accordance with it in order to expose the lies of these declared opponents, such as the thoughtless Danish moron Geert Wilders. What is the meaning of Islam? Islam means Al-Istislaam (to submit) to Allaah with Tawheed (i.e. pure Islamic monotheism), obey Him, and keep away from Shirk and the people of Shirk. Allaah [The Exalted] stated about Prophet Ibraaheem [peace be upon him]:

And (remember) when Ibrahim (Abraham) said to his father and his people: “Verily, I am innocent of what you worship, except Him (i.e. I worship none but Allah Alone) Who did create me, and verily, He will guide me.” And he made it [i.e. La ilaha ill-Allah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah Alone)] a Word lasting among his offspring (True Monotheism), that they may turn back (i.e. to repent to Allah or receive admonition). [Surah Az-Zukhruf. Aayaat 26-28]

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

Say (O Muhammad): “O people of the Scripture: Come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but Allah, and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allah. Then, if they turn away, say: “Bear witness that we are Muslims.” [Surah Aal Imraan. Aayah 64] (3)

This is Islaam – submission to the Creator, worshipping Him alone, obeying Him alone without reservation, and avoiding Shirk and its adherents.

What is Fascism? They say that it is a way of organizing a society in which a government ruled by a dictator controls the lives of the people and in which people are not allowed to disagree with the government; a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition. A political system based on a very powerful leader, state control, and being extremely proud of country and race, and in which political opposition is not allowed.

Let’s make a few quick observations regarding the thorough and distinct definition provided above. Islam is neither a political theory nor a political movement, and Islamic authority does not rely on autocracy; rather, both the ruler and the subject are expected to adhere to everything revealed in the Qur’aan and the authentic Sunnah.

Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] said:

Verily! Allah commands that you should render back the trusts to those, to whom they are due; and that when you judge between men, you judge with justice. Verily, how excellent is the teaching which He (Allah) gives you! Truly, Allah is Ever All-Hearer, All-Seer. O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger (Muhammad), and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority. (And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allah and His Messenger, if you believe in Allah and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for the final determination. [Surah An-Nisaa. Aayaat 58-59]

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: The first verse, according to the scholars, was revealed in relation to the rulers; it commands them to return trusts to those to whom they are due and to decide between the people justly. The second verse was revealed in reference to those who are under the ruler’s authority, including the armies and those who were not. It states that they are required to obey the rulers who uphold justice in their decisions, rulings, military campaigns, and other matters, with the exception of times when they give orders to disobey Allah, as there cannot be obedience to the creation while disobeying Allah. And if they disagree on anything, they should refer back to Allah’s Book and His Messenger’s Sunnah. If the rulers fail to achieve this, then they will only be obeyed in accordance with obeying Allah and His Messenger, and their rights will be fulfilled in accordance with what Allah and His Messenger instructed, with the result that they will be supported in righteousness and piety but not in sin and transgression. (4)

In addition, a strong leader is something that is desired because, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Verily, the leader is a shield behind whom they fight and he protects them. If he commands (people to) fear Allaah [The Exalted] and justice, then he will have a reward. If he commands something else, then it will be against him”. [Ṣaḥeeh Muslim 1841]

Imaam An-Nawawi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: “Meaning, he is like a shelter because he prevents the enemy from harming the Muslims, prevents the people from (harming) one another (i.e., establishes justice), protects the Muslim nation, and the people fear his authority because he will establish justice against the oppressor. “Behind whom they fight,” means that they stand by him in their struggle against the unbelievers (i.e. those at war with his nation), the rebels, the Khaarijites, and all other instigators of injustice and corruption. (5)

Regarding the coercive repression of opposition, the believer has been given a pure approach to dealing with unjust governments. Read the article by Shaikh Abu Khadeejah [may Allaah preserve him]: https://abukhadeejah.com/the-tyranny-of-the-rulers-a-reason-for-rebellion/

With regards to the mention of philosophy or a political ideology found in the definition of Fascism, then indeed, Islam is innocent of that which they necessitate. Islam is not a set of ideas and it is free from the requirements that the definition of fascism makes reference to in terms of philosophy or a political ideology; rather it is a divine revelation revealed by the Creator (Allah) in the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah of the noble Messenger, who never speaks out of his own desires. Allah said:

Nor does he speak out of the desire (of his own soul) (and forge revelation thereby); it is nothing but revelation revealed to him (containing guidance, rectitude and piety which he follows). [Shaikh Abu Iyad: https://www.thenoblequran.com/q/#/verse/53/3 ]

“Concepts or ideas can be contested, rejected, disapproved, etc., and submitted for discussion. It may be right or wrong. Due to the fact that an idea or concept is something that is particularly linked to the creation (i.e., humankind and Jinn), as well as the fact that an idea or thought might be right or wrong, it is not acceptable to associate Islam with the words “idea” or “thought.” The Sharee’ah [the infallible divine law, belief, and acts of worship] as transmitted by the last Messenger from the Qur’an, and the authentic Sunnah is infallible”. (6)

How can fascism be linked to Islam when everything included in the concept of fascism is in direct opposition to what Islam commands? However, the thoughtless moron Geert Wilders uses the term without any justification; rather, he is one who is filled with hatred, therefore anything he says is only a reflection of what is concealed in his heart. Allah says:

Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse. (Surah Al-Imran. Ayah 118]

Allah said:

They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah refuses except to perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it. (Surah At-Tawbah. Ayah 32)

Finally, we ask Allah:
رَبَّنَا لَا تَجۡعَلۡنَا فِتۡنَةً۬ لِّلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
وَنَجِّنَا بِرَحۡمَتِكَ مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِينَ

Our Lord, make us not [objects of] trial for the wrongdoing people, and save us by Your Mercy from the disbelieving folk.

An Example of Those Who Exceeded The Limits and Those Who Fell Short In The Subject Matter of Purification

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

Allaah [The Exalted] said: [ وَكَذَٲلِكَ جَعَلۡنَـٰكُمۡ أُمَّةً۬ وَسَطً۬ا لِّتَڪُونُواْ شُہَدَآءَ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَيَكُونَ ٱلرَّسُولُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ شَهِيدً۬ا‌ۗ – Thus We have made you [true Muslims real believers of Islamic Monotheism, true followers of – Prophet Muhammad and his Sunnah (legal ways)], a Wasat [just and the best] nation, that you be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger (Muhammad) be a witness over you]. [Surah Al-Baqarah. Verse 143]

Allaah [The Exalted] also said:

My Mercy embraces all things. That (Mercy) I shall ordain for those who are the pious, and give Zakat; and those who believe in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs and revelations, etc.); those who follow the Messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write (i.e.Muhammad) whom they find written with them in the Taurat (Torah) (Deut, xviii, 15) and the Injeel (Gospel) (John xiv, 16) , he – commands them for Al-Ma’ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained); and forbids them from Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism of all kinds, and all that Islam has forbidden); he allows them as lawful At-Taiyibat [(i.e. all good and lawful) as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods, etc.], and prohibits them as unlawful Al-Khaba’ith (i.e. all evil and unlawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods, etc.), he releases them from their heavy burdens (of Allah’s Covenant), and from the fetters (bindings) that were upon them. So those who believe in him (Muhammad), honour him, help him, and follow the light (the Qur’an) which has been sent down with him, it is they who will be successful. [Surah Al-A’raaf. Verses 156-157]

This is why those amongst the Muslims who deviate towards the doubts of the Jews and Christians are commanded to abandon such deviation and follow the straight path – the path which Allaah bestowed on the Prophets, the truthful ones, the martyrs and righteous, and not the path of those who have earned Allaah’s Anger, such as those Jews who disbelieved in the Messiah after having knowledge, and those who went astray such as those Christians who deviated from the path of the Messiah, exaggerated his status by worshipping him and worshipped Allaah based on ignorance And similar to them is the one who [ascribed to Islaam], but goes beyond bounds in avoiding impure things and thus declares impure that which has not been declared impure by Allaah and His Messenger; makes unlawful that which Allaah and His Messenger have not made unlawful, captured by the whispers of shaytaan and forbids the good things which Allaah made lawful for the Muslims, such as the one who holds the opinion that if impurity is removed and there is nothing remaining of it, then the place it was found is still impure if the impurity was not removed by that which has been prescribed as a condition for its removal such as water or other than it; or he holds that good water and other good liquids that have not been affected by something filthy is unlawful merely due to the reason that they have come into contact with some filth. [Footnote a – refer to detail about the ruling on water at the end of this article]

And even worst is the affair of those who excommunicate Muslims who oppose them, as is the view of many of ahlul bidah amongst the Raafidha (Shiites), the Khawaarij and other than them, so if others eat from their utensils, they declare it impure. [Footnote b- refer to detail at the end of this article regarding falsehood of the khawaarij and Raafidha, as well as a hadith regarding utensils]

As for that which many people do (without any sound proof from the texts of the Sharee’ah), such as one who commands a menstruating woman that she must change or wash the first clothing she wore whilst she was on her menses, or forbids a person who is in a state of Janaabah from eating or drinking until he takes a shower (or bath), these opinions are often that of those who resemble those Jews who went astray; rather they resemble the Samaritans.

As for those who resemble the Christians [i.e. those Christians who strayed after abandoning the path of the Messiah and disbelieved in Muhammad], it is for example the affair of the one who has a good suspicion regarding that which is impure, such as those who are in toilets- places of the devils and impurity – and defiled with urine. He neither performs wudhu nor does he take a bath, nor shower after being in a state of Janaabah, neither perform the Salaah nor prays in a state of ablution, whilst knowing that it is known by necessity in the religion that the five daily prayers are obligated on every person and that one has to make Wudhu if he is a state of Hadath and should take a bath when in a state of Janaabah, and cannot perform Tayammum when he is able to make wudhu. The Utensils of non-Muslims: Narrated Abū Thaʿlaba al-Khushni (raḍi Allāhu ʿanhu): I said “O Allāh’s Messenger! We are living in a land inhabited by the People of the Scriptures; can we take our meals in their utensils?” He said, “If you can get utensils other than theirs, do not eat in theirs, but if you cannot get other than theirs, wash them and eat in them” [Agreed upon]

Which animal do you want to own when you make hijrah?

In Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

The owners of camels and the owners of sheep praised (the animals in their possession), so the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “Musa was sent (i.e. as a Messenger) and he was a shepherd; Dawud was sent and he was a shepherd, and I was sent and was a shepherd at Aj’yaad [i.e. a neighbourhood in Makkah]”.

Al-Allaamah Zaid Bin Haadi Al-Mad’khali [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: Those who look after livestock are different in what they look after: camels, cows and sheep. Ownership depends on what a human being is in need of. So, which type of livestock did the Prophet consider to be better? The hadeeth is proof to show that sheep is better, greater in blessing and more beneficial for their owners. (However), this does not negate the fact that one should be eager to own a camel and a cow, so that he can benefit from them in a number of other ways, such as to obtain milk, carry things and other than that. And Allaah knows best.

Invitation of a Person Who Competes Others and Boasts!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

“The invitation of two people who compete each other should neither be accepted nor should their food be eaten”.

Al-Allaamah Zayd Bin Haadi Al-Mad’khali [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “If invitation to eat food is done for boasting, self-importance and show off, do not respond to the invitation. Competition related food is to boast about its abundance and perfect preparation- everyone wants to give more than the other. Whoever competes in (providing) food and its preparation – each one of them invites others to come along and eat his food, then do not accept their invitation because they have not done so sincerely for the sake of Allaah due to the competition and boating in the affair. And this is something impermissible”. [At-taleeqaat Al-Maleehah Alaa Silsilah al-Ahaadeeth As-Saheehah. Vol 1. Page 396]

Sufyaan Bin Uyaynah [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “Indeed, I become angry with myself when I see you come to me, and I say to myself that these people have not come to me, except due to the good thoughts they have about me”. [Hilyatul Awliyaa: 7/285]

Ibn Wahb [may Allaah have mercy upon him] narrated that he heard Maalik [may Allaah have mercy upon him] saying, “When a man praises himself, his magnificence leaves him”. [Taareekhul Islaam: 11/328]

Allaah Knows All The Secrets Whether We Reveal or Conceal

And whether you keep your talk secret or disclose it, verily, He is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts (of men). Should not He Who has created know? And He is the Most Kind and Courteous (to His slaves) All-Aware (of everything). [67:13-14]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: This is from the highest degree of affirmation, because it has to be that the Creator knows His creatures. Therefore, if you affirm that indeed He is your Creator and the Creator of your hearts and what they contain, then how can (anything) be hidden from Him when (it is the fact) that He created them?! And the statement [بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ  – what is in the breasts (of men)] includes what the hearts contain of beliefs, intents, love and hate. [Badaa’i At-Tafseer Al-Jaami Limaa Fassarahu Al-Imaam Ibnul Qayyim 3/ 173]

Imaam Al-Bukhaari [rahimahullaah] said, “Chapter: Avoiding the Use of Tricks. And everybody will get the reward according to his intention”. Narrated Umar Ibn al-Khattaab [radiyallaahu-anhu]: The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, ‘’The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions, and every person will get the reward according to what he intended. So, whoever emigrates for Allaah and His Messenger, then his emigration will be for Allaah and His Messenger, and whoever emigrates to take a worldly benefit or for a woman to marry, then his emigration will be for what he emigrated for”. [Saheeh Al-Bukhaari Number 6953]

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: There is no place for trickery in Ibaadaat [i.e. acts of worship] nor in Mu’aamalaat [i.e. mutual dealings]. Therefore, it is obligatory to approach [or carry out] affairs through their appropriate paths [i.e. carrying out deeds without tricks or ulterior motives]. Who are the four kings that ruled the eastern and western regions of the earth?

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

Have you not seen (contemplated with your heart) him who disputed with Ibrahim (Abraham) about his Lord (Allah), because Allah had given him the kingdom? When Ibrahim (Abraham) said (to him): “My Lord (Allah) is He Who gives life and causes death.” He said, “I give life and cause death.” Ibrahim (Abraham) said, “Verily! Allah causes the sun to rise from the east; then cause it you to rise from the west.” So the disbeliever was utterly defeated. And Allah guides not the people, who are Zalimun (wrong-doers, etc.). [Surah Al-Baqarah. Aayah 258]

[أَلَمۡ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِى حَآجَّ إِبۡرَٲهِـۧمَ فِى رَبِّهِۦۤ – Have you seen (contemplated with your heart) him who disputed with Ibrahim (Abraham) about his Lord (Allah)]- Meaning, he argued with Ibraaheem, and this person – based on what a group of the scholars stated- was Namrood. Ibn Abbaas [may Allaah be pleased with him and his father] said, “The Kings who ruled the eastern and western regions of the earth were two believers and two disbelievers: the two believers were Prophet Sulaymaan and Dhul Qarnayn, and the two disbelievers were Namrood and Bukhtanasar”. Ibn Qutaybah said, “Namrood argued with Prophet Ibraaheem because he was given a kingdom, so he became self-amazed and amazed with his kingdom. (1)

[أَلَمۡ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِى حَآجَّ إِبۡرَٲهِـۧمَ فِى رَبِّهِۦۤ – Have you seen (contemplated with your heart and eyes) him who disputed with Ibrahim (Abraham) about his Lord (Allah)]- Meaning, his insolence, ignorant attitude and obstinacy, and arguing regarding that which there is no doubt?! Nothing led him to this behaviour except because that “Allah had given him the kingdom”, so he transgressed and rebelled, and considered himself as one in control of those under his authority, which led him to argue with Prophet Ibraaheem about Allaah’s Lordship and claimed that he can do the same thing as Allaah does. Prophet Ibraheem said to him, “My Lord is He Who gives life and death” – Meaning, Allaah alone is in absolute control of everything; then Ibraaheem mentioned two specific affairs – life and death, because they the greatest things in Allaah’s absolute control. That is because granting life is the beginning of the worldly life and death is the beginning of that which is to occur in the afterlife. So, the one who sought to ague against Ibraaheem said, “I give life and cause death”, but never said, “I am The One Who gives life and death”, because he could not claim that he was not in need of anyone to interfere in the affair; rather he only claimed that he could do what Allaah does by killing someone and sparing someone’s life. Prophet Ibraaheem saw the fallacy in his argument and his utterence of speech that is not even worthy of being a Shubhah (i.e. an ambiguity portrayed as wholesome truth) let alone a proof, so he said to him, “Verily! Allah causes the sun to rise from the east”- Meaning, Ibraaheem mentioned something that can be clearly seen and affirmed by everyone including this disbeliever; “Then cause it you to rise from the west”- Meaning, this compelled him to bring proof if he was truthful in his claim. So, when Ibraaheem uttered this to him about which he neither had the ability to present an ambiguity to make Ibraaheem’s proof look confusing nor could he find something to disparage it, he was utterly defeated – lost for an answer, his proof cut off and his ambiguous statement toppled. (2) He Who brings life and death (Allaah) has absolute control over the existence and creates everything is in it, including absolute control of its planets and their movements. The sun rises everyday from the east, so if you were god, as you claim, who gives life and cause death, then make the sun rise from the west. (3) This is the situation of an obstinate falsifier who wants to confront truth and overcome it, because he will be defeated and subdued. This is why Allaah said: [وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَہۡدِى ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ – And Allah guides not the people, who are Zalimun (wrong-doers, etc.)]; rather He abandons them to their disbelief and misguidance.

النوع الثالث : الرأي المتضمن تعطيل أسماء الرب وصفاته وأفعاله بالمقاييس الباطلة التي وضعها أهل البدع والضلال من الجهمية والمعتزلة والقدرية ومن ضاهاهم ، حيث استعمل أهله قياساتهم الفاسدة وآراءهم الباطلة وشبههم الداحضة في رد النصوص الصحيحة الصريحة ; فردوا لأجلها ألفاظ النصوص التي وجدوا السبيل إلى تكذيب رواتها وتخطئتهم ، ومعاني النصوص التي لم يجدوا إلى رد ألفاظها سبيلا ، فقابلوا النوع الأول بالتكذيب ، والنوع الثاني بالتحريف والتأويل ، فأنكروا لذلك رؤية المؤمنين لربهم في الآخرة ، وأنكروا كلامه وتكليمه لعباده ، وأنكروا مباينته للعالم ، واستواءه على عرشه ، وعلوه على المخلوقات ، وعموم قدرته على كل شيء ، بل أخرجوا أفعال عباده من الملائكة والأنبياء والجن والإنس عن تعلق قدرته ومشيئته وتكوينه لها ، ونفوا لأجلها حقائق ما أخبر به عن نفسه وأخبر به رسوله من صفات كماله ونعوت جلاله ; وحرفوا لأجلها النصوص عن مواضعها ، وأخرجوها عن معانيها وحقائقها بالرأي المجرد الذي حقيقته أنه ذبالة الأذهان ونخالة الأفكار وعفارة الآراء ووساوس الصدور ، فملئوا به الأوراق سوادا ، والقلوب شكوكا ، والعالم فسادا ، وكل من له مسكة من عقل يعلم أن فساد العالم وخرابه إنما نشأ  من تقديم الرأي على الوحي ، والهوى على العقل ، وما استحكم هذان الأصلان الفاسدان في قلب إلا استحكم هلاكه ، وفي أمة إلا فسد أمرها أتم فساد ، فلا إله إلا الله كم نفي بهذه الآراء من حق ، وأثبت بها من باطل ، وأميت بها من هدى ، وأحيي بها من ضلالة ؟ وكم هدم بها من معقل الإيمان ، وعمر بها من دين الشيطان ؟ وأكثر أصحاب الجحيم هم أهل هذه الآراء الذين لا سمع لهم ولا عقل ، بل هم شر من الحمر ، وهم الذين يقولون يوم القيامة : { لو كنا نسمع أو نعقل ما كنا في أصحاب السعير }

النوع الخامس : ما ذكره أبو عمر بن عبد البر عن جمهور أهل العلم أن الرأي المذموم في هذه الآثار عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وعن أصحابه والتابعين رضي الله عنهم أنه القول في أحكام شرائع الدين بالاستحسان والظنون ، والاشتغال بحفظ المعضلات والأغلوطات ورد الفروع بعضها على بعض قياسا ، دون ردها على أصولها والنظر في عللها واعتبارها ، فاستعمل فيها الرأي قبل أن ينزل ، وفرعت وشققت قبل أن تقع ، وتكلم فيها قبل أن تكون بالرأي المضارع للظن ، قالوا : وفي الاشتغال بهذا والاستغراق فيه تعطيل السنن ، والبعث على جهلها ، وترك الوقوف على ما يلزم الوقوف عليه منها ومن كتاب الله عز وجل ومعانيه ، احتجوا على ما ذهبوا إليه بأشياء ، ثم ذكر من طريق أسد بن موسى ثنا شريك عن ليث عن طاوس عن ابن عمر قال : لا تسألوا عما لم يكن ; فإني سمعت عمر يلعن من يسأل عما لم يكن ، ثم ذكر من طريق أبي داود ثنا إبراهيم بن موسى الرازي ثنا عيسى بن يونس عن الأوزاعي عن عبد الله بن سعد عن الصنابحي عن معاوية { أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم : نهى عن الأغلوطات }
