The Sunni doesn’t get Angry when Bid’ah (or its people) are Spoken About – Abu Khadeejah

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Ustaadh Abu Khadeejah (may Allaah preserve him) wrote this morning via WhatsApp:

Ibn Battah: One of the Salaf was asked, “Who is the Sunni?” He answered: “The one who does not get angry when bid’ah (or its people) are spoken about.”

By Allaah, this is a defining and distinctive trait of the Salafis past and present. They are the most knowledgeable of the people in the arena of aqeedah and they are the sternest against the opposers (mukhaalifeen).  They are the gentlest between each other; they are the most obedient to Allaah and the most God-fearing; they hold to the Rope of Allaah, which is the Book and the Sunnah and the Jamaa’ah. They hate division and splitting and partisanship. They are like one body in their mutual love, mercy and compassion – when any part of this body is in pain, the rest of the body feels restless and feels the pain.  The Salafi upon the path of istiqaamah does not let down his ‘ulamaa when they are attacked and reviled nor the students of knowledge who call to Allaah. He doesn’t forsake the people of truth, or turn his back on them, or backbite them, or revile them. If he is not able to aid the truth, or aid the people of truth, he should at least remain quiet and not oppose them – rather he should make du’aa for them, for indeed the Salafi is upon clarity, always, till his death.  Cultivate these traits in yourself and your families. Ustaadh Abu Khadeejah sent this Message via WhatsApp [Beautiful Dars at Shaikh Rabee’s House]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Ustaadh Abu Khadeejah (ma Allaah preserve him) wrote:

A large body of brothers here at Shaikh Rabee’s house from the UK, USA, Canada etc.  Beautiful Dars by the Shaikh in the topic of Imaan. Sh. Rabee spoke about the means of strengthening Imaan: Reciting the Qur’aan, righteous deeds and Allaah’s remembrance.  Shaikh Rabee stated the aqeedah of Ahlus Sunnah is that Imaan is speech & action, it increases and decreases. Then he refuted the Murji’ah. He went on to establish that the affairs are in the Hands of Allaah and His Decree, so a person relies upon Allaah, fully.

Sh. Rabee said that the believer knows the affairs are decreed by Allaah so he knows no one can harm him or benefit him except by His Decree. Sh. Rabee mentioned the importance of salaah and sadaqah. Prayer upon the Sunnah of the Prophet & Sadaqa upon the generosity of the Prophet.

Sh. Rabee stated that these are the means of strengthening Imaan. And its opposite is abandonment of righteous deeds & commission of sins. Messenger said: If you partake in interest, hold on to the tails of cattle, satisfied with cultivation of the earth & abandon jihad… The Prophet continued: “Then Allaah will send down upon them humiliation & He will not remove it till you return back to your Deen.” Allaah stated: “If you aid Allaah’s deen, Allaah will aid you..” So it is not the greatness of numbers because the Companions were not many. Shaikh Rabee continued: Rather the Sahaabah were small in number yet Allaah gave them victory over their adversaries from the Romans & Persians. Sh. Rabee: That victory was due to their Imaan, their aqeedah, their manhaj, their piety. So Allaah made them victorious.

The Messenger mentioned a time when the disbelievers will take from the Muslim lands just like the guests take from the food of the host. And the Messenger explained that this is not due to the small number of Muslims in that time, rather they will be many in number, but… The Messenger cont’d: The Muslims will be like the scum carried by the flood water (even though they will great in number). Shaikh Rabee stated: This is the state of many of the Muslims today, they are like the scum carried by the flood water.  So upon you is steadfastness upon the Deen, to hold to the truth and sincerity and righteous deeds – to strengthen your Imaan. Sh. Rabee ended with supplicating to Allaah to give us steadfastness upon the Sunnah and to grant us success in that which pleases Allaah. May Allaah reward the Shaykh, preserve him, protect him and make him a cause of benefit for the ummah. Ameen.

Baarakallaahufeekum.

Scholarly Clarification [Statement utilized by hizbiyyoon to protect figureheads of bidah]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Chapter: The prohibition of reviling the deceased without right or a legitimate (overriding) benefit

The deceased—that is the deceased amongst the Muslims (i.e. in general they are not to be reviled).  As for a disbeliever there is no sanctity for him except if reviling him will harm those of his relatives who are alive, then he is not reviled.  And if there is no harm (in reviling him), then he has no sanctity and this is the meaning of the statement of the author [i.e. Imaam Nawawi]’’Without Right;’’  because we have a right to revile those dead disbelievers, who harmed the Muslims, fought against them and strove to corrupt their religion.

‘Or (without) a legitimate (overriding) benefit;’’ (i.e. not to revile the dead unless there is a legitimate overriding benefit in doing so); such as when this deceased person was a person of innovation and he has already disseminated it (i.e. his innovation) and disseminated it amongst the people, so here there is a benefit to revile him, warn against him and his path, so that the people are not mislead by him. [Sharh Riyaadus Saaliheen 6/230 of Imaam Muhammad Bin Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen] http://www.sahab.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=124263// <![CDATA

He is Muhammad Ibn Salaam Ibn Al-Farj Abu Abdillaah Al-Beekandiy.  He was born in the year 161AH and his death date was on Sunday 8th in the month of Safar 225AH.  He was a Shaikh of (Imaam) Bukhaari and he narrated from him in his Saheeh (i.e. Saheeh Al-Bukhaari).  He was from those given comprehension in knowledge and he was from the Imaams of the Athar (i.e. possessors’ of knowledge of the ahaadeeth and the narrations of the Sahaabah).

Muhammad Ibn Ahmad An-Najjaar (rahimahullaah) said: ”Ibn Salaam had authorships in every sphere of knowledge (i.e. knowledge of the sharia).”

An Amazing Story about Generosity

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Al Haafidh ibn Rajab mentioned in the commentary of the Tabaqaat Al Hanaabila (1/196) in the biography of Al Qaadi Abi Bakr Muhammad Abdul Al Baaqi Al Bazzaz who died in the year 535 from the migration of the Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessing be upon him.  Shaikh Saalih Abu Al Qaasim Al Khazaz Al Bagdadi said, ”I heard Al Qaadi Abi Bakr Muhammad Abdul Al Baaqi Al Bazzaz Al Ansaari say: I used to live in the vicinity of Mecca, may Allaah the Exalted protect it, so one day I was stricken with severe hunger and I did not find anything to fight against this hunger. So I found a bag made from silk, tied with a tassel that was also made from silk, so I grabbed it and took it to my house. When I unfasten it I found in it a necklace made from pearl such that I had not seen the like of it before. So when I exited my house I saw an old man that was seeking this bag. With him was a torn rag containing five hundred dinar and he was saying, ‘’this is for the one who returns to me the bag containing the pearls.” So I said, ‘’I am in need, I am hungry, so I will take this money and benefit from it and return to him the bag.’’  So I said to him, ‘’Come to me’’, so I took him and brought him to my home. So he gave me the description of the bag, and the description of the tassel, and the description of the pearls along with their number, and the description of the thread that fasten it. So I removed it from the bag and gave it to him, so he gave me the five hundred dinar, but I did not take it. Then I said to him, ‘’It is incumbent upon me to return this to you and I will not take any reward for it.” He said to me, ‘’you must take it’’, and he persisted in this, but I would not take it from him so he left me and went about his way.

As for me, I didn’t have anything so I left Mecca and began sailing in the sea. So the ship tore apart and everyone aboard it drowned and their wealth was destroyed. I was saved by holding onto a piece of the ship. So I remained for a time period in the sea not knowing where I was going. I then arrived at an island that was inhabited by people. I sat in some of the masjids and the people heard me reading, and there did not remain anyone on the island except that he came to me and said, ‘’Teach me the Qur’aan’’, so I acquired from the people a lot of wealth. Then I saw in the masjid some paper from a Mushaf, so I took it and began to read it. They said to me, ‘’Do you have good handwriting?’’, I said, ‘’yes.’’ So they said, ‘’Teach me handwriting.’’ So they came to me with their children from amongst the small kids and the young men and I used to teach them. I acquired from this also, a lot of wealth.

After this they said to me, ‘’We have a young orphan girl who has some things from the dunya, (worldly wealth) we would like for you to marry her.  I refused, but they said, ‘’It is a must!’’ And they made this incumbent upon me, so I agreed. After they married her to me, I turned my glance toward her and I found that exact same necklace hanging around her neck! At this time I did not busy myself with anything except staring at this necklace. So they said to me, ‘’Oh Sheik! You have broken this young orphan girl’s heart by looking at this necklace, and you have not even looked at her. So I relayed to them the story of the necklace. So they screamed and yelled out, ‘’There is no deity worthy of worship except Allaahu Akbar, until it reached everyone on the island. So I said, ‘’What is with you?’’ They said, ‘’The old man that took the necklace from you is the father of this young girl.’’ He used to say, ‘’I have not found in the dunya (world) a Muslim (what is meant here is a trustworthy, kind hearted, one who knows the rights of found property) except the one who returned to me this necklace.’’ And he used to make dua (supplication) saying, ‘’Oh ALLAH, join me and him together so that I may marry him to my daughter’’, and now it has happened. So I remained with her for a time period and I was provided with two sons by her. Then she passed away, so I inherited the necklace, me and my two sons. Then my two sons died, therefore the necklace became mine. So I sold the necklace for one hundred thousand dinar, and the money that you see me with now is what is left over from that money.
