Sharing a principle with well wishers who innocently share “Jumu’ah Mubarak”

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

A Principle to Share With Well Wishes Who Innocently Share Unauthentic Supplications or Congratulate With “Jumu’ah Mubarak”

Acts of Worship Must Fulfil Two Conditions

Al-Allamah Abdul Muhsin Al-Abbad, may Allah preserve him, said:

Al-Allamah Abdul Muhsin Al-Abbad, may Allah preserve him, said: “The initial ruling regarding acts of worship is that neither are they permissible nor legislated, except when there is proof to show that they are legislated by Allah and His Messenger; otherwise they are included in the statement of Allah: [أَمۡ لَهُمۡ شُرَڪَـٰٓؤُاْ شَرَعُواْ لَهُم مِّنَ ٱلدِّينِ مَا لَمۡ يَأۡذَنۢ بِهِ ٱللَّهُ‌ۚ – Or have they partners with Allah (false gods), who have instituted for them a religion which Allah has not allowed?!]”

Two conditions must be fulfilled for an act of worship to be accepted; the first of the two conditions is that the act of worship must be done sincerely for Allah, and secondly the act of worship must be in agreement with the Sunnah of the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. The act of worship has to be done sincerely for the sake of Allah (alone) and no one is to be associated as a partner with Allah in worship. The act of worship must be done in conformity with what the Messenger conveyed (the Qur’an and the Sunnah). This is what the Shahadah (لا إله إلا الله) necessitates that acts of worship must be carried out sincerely for the sake of Allah alone; and (محمدا رسول الله) necessitates that acts of worship must be carried out in conformity with what was revealed to the noble Messenger. Therefore, Allah is not to be worshipped with bidah, newly invented matters in Religion, and evil acts, for which Allah [The Most High] has sent down no authority; rather acts of worship must conform with the Sunnah of the noble Messenger. If any of these two conditions or both of them are not fulfilled, the act of worship will be rejected by Allah [The Mighty and Majestic] says: [وَقَدِمۡنَآ إِلَىٰ مَا عَمِلُواْ مِنۡ عَمَلٍ۬ فَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُ هَبَآءً۬ مَّنثُورً – And We shall turn to whatever deeds they disbelievers, polytheists] did, and We shall make such deeds as scattered floating particles of dust] [Soorah Al-Furqaan. Ayah 23]

The noble Messenger said: [مَنْ أَحْدَثَ فِي أَمْرِنَا هَذَا مَا لَيْسَ مِنْهُ فَهُوَ رَدٌ- He who innovates something in this matter of ours [i.e., Islam] that is not of it will have it rejected [by Allah].”[Sahih Al-Bukhari. Number 2697] [Sahih Muslim. Number 1718]

And in another wording of this hadeeth in Saheeh Muslim the Prophet said: [مَنْ عَمِلَ عَمَلًا لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ أَمْرُنَا فَهُوَ رَد – He who does an act (of worship) which we have not commanded (i.e. not commanded by the Prophet), will have it rejected].

The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:

Verily he lives long among you will see a lot of differing, so you must keep to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the Khulafa Ar-Rashidun [the rightly guided caliphs]. Adhere to it with your molar teeth (i.e. adhere to it firmly). And beware of newly invented matters [in the religion], for every newly invented matter [in the religion] is a bidah [innovation in the religion], and every bidah is misguidance. [Abu Dawood. Number 4607] [Tirmidhee. Number 2676] [1]

The Danger of Bidah (Innovating beliefs and acts of worship) in Islam

Al-Allamah Rabee Bin Hadi Al-Mad’khali, may Allāh preserve him, said:

The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him, said: [وشر الأمور محدثاتها – The worst of all affairs are the newly invented matters in the religion]. The Prophet said this when there was no Mubtadi (innovator in the religion) present. He warned against it because Allah informed him that many from this Ummah will be misguided, split (into deviant sects) and follow the (misguided) paths of those who came before them (the misguided Jews and Christians). Allah informed the Prophet and he conveyed these realities to the Ummah. Thus due to the Prophet’s enmity against innovation in religious matters, his hatred for it and due to fearing for his Ummah regarding it, he warned them against it in every or most of his khutbahs. He described it as the worst of all affairs (in the religion) وشر الأمور محدثاتها -The worst of all affairs are the newly invented matters (in the religion). [2]

Supplication is a great act of devotion to Allah and a lofty act of worship (performed) by a Muslim within the confines of the noble Messenger’s guidance and adherence to his Sunnah. This is because the best and perfect guidance is the guidance of Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him. Indeed, the Prophet used to say – on every Jumu’ah- whilst addressing the people, “To proceed; indeed the most truthful speech is the Book of Allah and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad . The worst of all affairs are the newly invented matters (in the religion), for every newly invented matter (in the religion) is Bidah, every Bidah is misguidance and every (act of misguidance will lead to the) fire”. Therefore, it is obligated to a Muslim that he is very careful of the newly invented matters in the religion, and that he adheres to the guidance of the leader of the Prophets and Messengers  (Muhammad – peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him).

The guidance of the Messenger in matters related to supplications is a perfect guidance and there’s no deficiency in them. The Prophet did not leave any good and benefit related to supplications; rather he (clarified and explained) the affair perfectly and fulfilled its obligation, just as he did in all aspects of the religion. He did not die until Allah revealed: [ٱلۡيَوۡمَ أَكۡمَلۡتُ لَكُمۡ دِينَكُمۡ وَأَتۡمَمۡتُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ نِعۡمَتِى وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ ٱلۡإِسۡلَـٰمَ دِينً۬ا‌ۚ – This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion]. [Al-Ma’idah. 3]

Whoever contemplates the guidance of the Prophet in matters related to supplications will find that they are perfect guidance- sufficient and perfect, and there is no deficiency in it. He clarified and made known – to the Ummah- supplications that are to be performed at specific times, specific places and in specific circumstances. He made very clear the distinction between those supplications that can be performed – in general – without any restriction to a specific time, place or situation, and those that are restricted to specific times, places and situations.

The established and authentic supplications of the Prophet deals with all the circumstances of the people – in times of happiness, sorrow, physical wellbeing, illness, bliss, calamity, when one is traveling or not traveling, and other than that. He guided his Ummah – in this affair- to all good and to that which they should say in all circumstances. He did not abandon any supplication that would get a person close to Allah – that which will lead a person to happiness in this life and the next; rather, he clarified and made it known to his Ummah – completely and perfectly. How can this not be the case when it is the fact that he said, “Allah did not send a Prophet except that it was obligated to him to guide his followers to what he knew was good for them and warn them against what he knew was bad for them”.

Indeed, it is amazing that some of the common people abandon the authentic supplications that are gathered in many of the books – the well-known authentic books – and then accept the supplications that are newly invented, innovated (in the religion) and  initiated by some of the Mutakallifeen (i.e. those figureheads who pretend and fabricate things) and written by some of the Mutakharriseen (i.e. those figureheads who lie, engage in falsehood through which they seek to obliterate the truth and speak about Allah without knowledge). They do not rely on the Qur’an and the Sunnah, and do not  give consideration to the guidance of the best person in this Ummah (Muhammad). Thus, they preoccupy the people with this, turn them away from the Sunan (authentic practices of the Prophet) and plunge them into Bidah. Regarding this affair, some of the pious predecessors said, “A people do not innovate a newly invented matter in their religion, except that Allah removes something similar to it from their Sunnah, and then it does not return to them until the day of judgment”.

How can it be permissible for a  Muslim who knows the virtue of the Messenger, his status and sincere advice to the Ummah, but then he abandons the Messenger’s guidance and his great and blessed supplications, and then accepts the supplications and the books of these Mutakharriseen and Mutakallifeen. Allāh, The Most High, says:

[ادْعُوا رَبَّكُمْ تَضَرُّعًا وَخُفْيَةً ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ – Invoke your Lord with humility and in secret. He likes not the aggressors]. [Al-A’raf 55]

Regarding the statement of Allah: [إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ – He likes not the aggressors], Imam Al-Qurtubi, may Allāh have mercy upon him, – in his Tafsir – mentioned a number of different types of aggression in this subject matter, and one of them is when one supplicates through that which is not found in the Qur’an and the Sunnah – words that are deficient and are in the form of rhymes, and found in pamphlets, which neither have any origin (in the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah) nor based (on the Qur’an and Sunnah). Then he (i.e. the initiator or innovator of these supplications) adopts them as his slogan and abandons that which the Messenger used as supplications.

The most dangerous this affair can be is that some of these supplications are mixed with wordings that are tantamount to disbelief and polytheism. Indeed, what is obligated to every Muslim is that he is extremely careful of the likes of these supplications that have been invented by some of the misguided Shaikhs and the leaders of misguidance, thus they hinder people – by way of them – from the guidance of the Prophet and turn them away from his Sunnah. So, they go astray and deviate many people, and deviate from the right path. Indeed, the smart Muslim should pose a question in this affair regarding that which led these people to innovate these supplications and fabricated these acts which they devote themselves to permanently, despite the fact that they contain misguidance and falsehood. One will not find an answer, except that what these people want is to eat the wealth of the people unlawfully, increase their followers and devotees. Mu’aadh Bin Jabal, may Allāh be pleased with him,  said: “In the times after you, there would be trials in which wealth would be abundant and the Qur’an would be easy so much so that every believer, hypocrite, man, woman, young, grown up, slave and free man will learn it. Then a man might say, ‘What happened to the people that they do not follow me while I read the Quran? They are not going to follow me until I innovate for them other than it’. So, beware of that which is innovated (in religion), for whatever is innovated is misguidance’’’.  [Abu Dawud. 4611]

Therefore, it is obligated to a Muslim to be extremely cautious of these people, adhere to the Sunnah and follow the path of its followers, for in that there is safety and success. [3]

Jumu’ah Mubarak On a Friday

Al-Allamah Salih Al-Fawzan, may Allāh preserve him, was asked: What is the ruling on the statement of a Muslim to another Muslim “Jumu’ah Mubarak through text messages or in forums every Friday?

The Shaikh responded: This practice has no basis (in the Qur’an and the Sunnah) and is considered an innovation in the religion. It is not permissible to offer congratulations on Friday, as there is no evidence supporting this practice, nor is it part of the actions of the Salaf (i.e. pious predecessors -the Sahabah and their well known followers). It is an innovation in religion, and those who engage in such practices are currently utilising mobile phones and the internet to promote innovations – in religion -in this manner.

An indispensable battle against the inner-self

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

An indispensable battle against the inner-self (Self-amazement etc)

Abdullah Bin Amr Ibn Al-Aas, may Allah be pleased with him and his father, said: The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said, “Verily! The people of the hell fire are every [Ja’dhariy – جَعْظَريٍّ], [Jawwaadh – جَوَّاظٍ ], [Mustakbirin-مُسْتَكْبِرٍ ], [Jammaa -جَمَّاع ] and [Mannaa – مَنَّاع ]. And the people of paradise are the [Ad-Du’afaa – الضعفاء ] and the [Maghlooboon-مغلوبون ].

Al-Allamah Zayd Bin Hadi Al-Mad’khali, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

These nouns are characteristics of the tyrants and haughty people – the people of evil manners who deal badly with those who are close to them and those not closely associated with them- which are the opposites of the characteristics of the weak and oppressed, the lenient, gentle, and good mannered. It appears that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, encouraged us to adopt the characteristics of the people of Iman —the weak people —while cautioning against the characteristics of the haughty and that one should not exalt himself above the people, not (refuse to) submit to the commands of Allah and His Messenger, and not (refuse to) fulfil the obligations that have been obligated to them by the Shariah. [جَعْظَريٍّ – The one who seeks to be praised for that which is not in him or that which he does not possess]; [جَوَّاظٍ – a wicked sinner]; [مُسْتَكْبِر – one who exalts and raises himself, and is afflicted with self-amazement]; [جَمَّاع – a hoarder] and [مَنَّاع – one who deprives people and is extremely miserly]; [الضعفاء – those who are weak due to humility and are in a weak state in the worldly life] and the [مغلوبون – those who are (unjustifiably) subjugated and suppressed]. [1]

Imaam Sufyaan Ath-Thawree, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

Beware of what corrupts your deeds, for indeed Riyaa is what corrupts your deeds. If not Riyaa, it may be you being amazed with yourself until it makes you think that you are more virtuous than your brother. It may be that you have not achieved deeds the likes of which he has achieved, and it may be that he has more fear of Allah and righteous deeds than you. And if it is not self-amazement, then beware of loving the praise of the people-loving their praise so that they may honour you due to your deeds and see you as someone of nobility and high status in their hearts. Remembering death a lot is enough to make you have less concern for the things of the worldly life and make you have a fervent desire for the afterlife. A prolonged hope (for the things of this worldly life) is enough as a (means) to having little fear of (Allah) and committing acts of disobedience, and the distress and regret on the Day of Judgment is enough for the one who knows but does not act. [2]

Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy upon him, stated:

Ibn Sad, may Allah have mercy upon him, stated in at Tabaqaat about Umar Ibn Abdul Azeez, may Allah have mercy upon him, “Whenever he delivered a sermon and feared being amazed with himself, he ended it; and whenever he wrote a letter and feared amazement due to it, he tore it. He would say: ”O Allah! I seek refuge with you from the evil of my soul.” [3]

Abu Wahb, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: I asked Ibn Al-Mubarak, may Allah have mercy upon him: “What is pride?” He said: ”It is to mock at the people.”  I asked him about self-amazement; he said: “It is to consider yourself to be in possession of something that none else possess; and I do not know of anything more evil upon the performers of the prayer than self-amazement”. [4]

Masruq, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

“It is enough as knowledge that a man is fearful of Allah and it is enough as ignorance that a man becomes amazed with his knowledge”. [5]

Imam Abdul Ghaniy Al-Maqdisee, may Allah have mercy upon him, was asked: “Why do you not read from other than a book?” He said: ”I fear self-amazement.” [6]

Imam Ash-Shafi’i, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

If self-amazement is concealed within your deeds, recall the one whose pleasure you are seeking, which blessings you desire and which outcome you fear. The one who ponders upon this, his actions will become small in his presence. [7]

Al-Allamah Muqbil Bin Hadi Al-Wadi’i, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

If a person fears being amazed with himself, let him not compare himself with contemporaries; look at Hafidh Ibn Hajr or Al-Hafidh Ibn kathir, Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah and other than them amongst the Huffaaz. [8]

Mutarrif Bin Abdillah Ash-Shikh-khir, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

I spend the night and become regretful in morning (i.e. due to missing the night prayer) is more beloved to me that staying up at night (in worship) and reach the morning while being self-amazed. [9]

Imam Adh-Dhahabi, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

The one who ascribe piety to himself and is amazed with himself will not be successful. [10]

End this moral distortion- Brief dialogue with Sivan Koren

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah, The Exalted, said:

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah; even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allah is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you may avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do. [An-Nisaa. 135]

In the above article, one of the things Sivan Koren mentioned was that: [“Academia, which should symbolize openness and respectful dialogue, has in many cases transformed into an arena where hate is legitimized.

The disturbing case at Columbia University serves as a stark warning. A professor who praised Hamas’s brutal attack – which led to the deaths of over 1,200 Israelis – was allowed to teach a course on Zionism. How can someone like this be entrusted with teaching the history of the Jewish people? This decision is not only a moral affront but also evidence of a profound ethical distortion and irresponsibility on the part of the institution’s leadership”]. [End of quote]

Response:

Firstly, Sivan expresses significant disapproval of the professor’s conduct and finds it unreasonable to permit him to instruct on Jewish history. Indeed, it is noteworthy that individuals who adopt a balanced and equitable perspective on this issue are exceedingly rare. Many either rationalise the actions of Hamas against civilians and non-combatants or, conversely, remain silent regarding the disproportionate retaliation executed by Netanyahu’s Zionist forces. Others may manipulate the narrative, attempting to obscure the fact that this conflict, despite the indefensible nature of Hamas’s unlawful killings, has persisted for over 70 years, marked by relentless Zionist aggression. Furthermore, the question of whether one condemns Hamas has been reiterated by numerous Zionists and journalists, to which principled individuals have responded with clarity, as evidenced in the reply:

“Do you condemn Hamas?”, “we condemn everyone who opposes the Divine Legislation by killing innocent civilians, including non-combatant men, the elderly, women, children, priests, monks and the likes, no matter who they are, Muslim or non-Muslim, whether ISIS, al-Qaeda, Hamas, Boko Haram or Benjamin Mileikowsky, the IDF, Settlers and their likes. Our condemnation is on the basis that such actions are unjust and oppose Divine Legislation and not because of the race or ethnicity or religion of the perpetrators, and thus we are able to maintain moral consistency and integrity. This is unlike Western politicians who are able to swiftly condemn Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and support Ukraine (the invaded and occupied in this case) with money and weapons for resistance, but unwilling to condemn the genocide and ethnic cleansing of Gazans, while supporting the Mileikowsky regime with bombs, missiles and military hardware to facilitate the execution of that genocide and ethnic cleansing”. [1] [End of quote]

It is imperative to consider that should this Anti-Zionist professor have indeed lauded the actions of Hamas, no rational individual would find merit in his assertions, provided that such statements were made explicitly and not distorted by sensationalist narratives. The abhorrent nature of taking innocent lives has already been sufficiently addressed. Furthermore, some Zionist leaders, including Netanyahu, have also made profoundly reckless remarks, thus, they must be condemned openly. Unlawful killing is to be openly condemned, irrespective of the faith or political position of its perpetrators, be they Jewish, Christian, or Muslim. Explore the link below to discover some dangerous statements made by certain Zionist figureheads: https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2024/08/14/brief-observation-on-elon-musks-proposal-the-second-thing-is-to-change-the-education-so-that-a-new-generation-of-murderers-is-not-created/

Perhaps, one of the most compelling admonitions on this subject comes from Prince Turki Al-Faisal, may Allah protect him. Listen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3-cWyFcK5w

Secondly, just as we would reject the assertions made by this professor if he indeed expressed such views, it is equally important to critically evaluate the claims made by journalists such as Melanie Phillips, who commands a larger audience and has previously commented on a subject grounded in research, saying: [Islamophobia is a bogus label”. She said “the taunt of Islamophobia is used to silence any criticism of the Islamic world, including Islamic extremism” and “facilitates” antisemitism].[2]

If Melanie’s assertion pertains to individuals who level accusations against any group of Jews without substantiation or harbor animosity towards them solely based on their ethnicity, it is imperative that the claims of those who profess to experience Islamophobia be rigorously examined. Such individuals may themselves exhibit prejudice, and their assertions could merely represent an unwarranted response to critiques of their behavior. This is why the issue of anti-Semitism has been previously addressed, highlighting its unequivocal condemnation within Islam. Read: https://abuiyaad.com/sn/muslims-antisemitism

However, it’s essential to ensure that this rejection of anti-Semitism does not serve as a pretext to suppress candid and open dialogue, nor to hinder the presentation of concrete evidence regarding the atrocities committed by Zionists. For over seventy years, Zionists have relentlessly pursued dominance, inflicting suffering, displacement, and humiliation upon the Palestinian people. In addition, Netanyahu quotes abrogated scriptures to justify acts of aggression. Read: ttps://abuiyaad.com/a/amalekite-genocide-doctrine-gaza

As for if Melanie’s assertion that “Islamophobia is a bogus label” was intended to suggest that Muslims do not face hatred or discrimination based on their faith, this is indeed reflects a significant misunderstanding of the realities faced by many individuals within the Muslim community. However, we will refrain from making definitive conclusions about her statement, allowing for multiple interpretations and contexts. We will not assert that Melanie endorses any particular interpretation until she provides further clarification regarding her intended message, whether it aligns with one of the interpretations we have proposed or presents a different perspective altogether. Read: https://www.salafisounds.com/the-way-forward-for-muslim-minorities-living-in-an-atmosphere-of-anti-islamic-sentiment-reflections-after-the-massacre-in-new-zealand-by-abu-khadeejah/

As for criticism against the Islamic world, even though the religion of Islam is the final path ordained by the Creator, it does not mean that Muslims are infallible, rather, they are humans who will make mistakes just as any other human being. As for Islam itself, it can never be criticised because it is infallible, and none criticises it except a confused or biased individual. As for extremism, no sane Muslim who understand the revelation – the Qur’an and Sunnah – will condone it, but it is not determined based on human ideas or philosophies or the opinion of ideologues, demagogues and rabble-rousers regarding what is or not extremism, rather, extremism is anything that goes beyond what is legislated just as negligence is anything that falls short in a blameworthy manner.

With regards to criticism directed towards the Islamic world, it should made absolutely clear that while Islam is the seal of the divine paths ordained by the Creator and its texts are infallible and protected till the end of time, this does not imply that Muslims are infallible; they are, like all humans, susceptible to error. The essence of Islam itself remains beyond reproach, as it is considered infallible, and critiques typically arise from individuals who are either misinformed or biased. Regarding extremism, it is important to note that no rational Muslim, who comprehends the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah, would endorse such behavior. However, extremism should not be defined by subjective human ideologies or the perspectives of ideologues, demagogues, and provocateurs. Instead, it is characterized as any action that exceeds the boundaries of what is legislated, just as negligence is defined as any negligence that is deemed blameworthy. Visit: http://www.islamagainstextremism.com/

Thirdly, this Melanie also stated: [Across the world, when nations go to war, the average is 1-9: 9 civilians to every combatant killed. 1-1 is unheard of. No country in the world has ever managed to reduce the number of civilians killed in the way that Israel has. Israel is being accused by the prosecutor of the international criminal court of wilfully killing civilians. International law and human rights law has not stopped any of these things. It has not stopped Putin, it has not stopped China…it has not stopped Asad to kill untold thousands of people. It doesn’t stop tyrants. That’s why human rights law has now unfortunately, generally human rights culture, human rights law, human rights institutions, the ICC, the ICJ, the international Court of Justice, the United Nations, the big NGOs (non-governmental organisations) that deal with human rights, they’ve all been captured by an ideology which basically says, “Jewish State of Israel must go”]. [3]

Response:

The inevitability of collateral damage in warfare is universally acknowledged, irrespective of the party that instigates the conflict. Innocent individuals, who neither initiated nor wished for the war, invariably suffer. Melanie’s portrayal of the actions of the Zionist State attempts to present them as humane and just, yet it is crucial to recognize that, over the past seventy years, no group has endured greater suffering at the hands of the Zionists than the Palestinians. For Muslims from any nation, the past 75 years have been marked by the harrowing accounts of their grandparents, who have either witnessed or heard of the atrocities committed by the Zionists. Furthermore, they continue to observe the ongoing violence justified under the guise of self-defense and retaliation. Regardless of the parties responsible for unlawful killings in conflicts, the Zionists have undeniably played a significant role in the suffering experienced by the Palestinians. [See Footnote a]

As for Melanie’s general examination and perspective on international law and human rights, it has been addressed by individuals who possess a true fear of Allah, and the implications of their insights have already been acknowledged. [See Footnote b]

Finally, it is important to acknowledge that if the organizations referenced by Melanie are opposing the Zionists for legitimate reasons, particularly in light of the atrocities committed over the past seventy-five years, especially in recent times, they deserve recognition for their efforts. However, it is essential to remind Melanie that some of these organizations, notably the United Nations, were historically employed by colonial powers to assist Zionists in dispossessing Palestinians of their land, property, dignity, and security. This is an undeniable aspect of history that cannot be overlooked. While it may be convenient for Melanie to assert that these organizations are acting against the Zionist State, it is crucial to recognize that the same UN has been utilized by Christian Zionist ideologues to facilitate the gradual appropriation of land by Zionists up to the present day. A thorough examination of the historical context surrounding these events is necessary. Read a brief historical account on these links:

[21] The Ascent and Decline of The Ottoman Empire- [Sultan Ahmad (I) rose to the throne at the age of 14]

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Ahmed I – [1012 – 1026 AH / 1603 – 1617 CE] ascended to the throne at the age of 14 following the death of his father, an achievement unmatched by any previous Ottoman sultan at such a young age. The state was in a state of considerable turmoil due to its involvement in the wars against Austria in Europe, the conflict with Persia, and internal revolts in Asia. He continued the military preparations initiated by his father.

Firstly: The War with Austria and European States:

Sultan Ahmad appointed Lala Muhammad Pasha as the Grand Vizier, succeeding the previous Grand Vizier, Hasan Pasha. Lala Muhammad Pasha was a distinguished commander who led the armies that fought in Austria. He focused on strengthening the Ottoman forces, besieging and capturing the fortress of Istragon. Additionally, he engaged in battles against the principalities of Wallachia, Moldavia, and Transylvania, ultimately negotiating peace with them. Upon the death of Lala Pasha, he was succeeded by Kubaji Murad Pasha as Grand Vizier, who had previously commanded one of the army divisions. The Ottoman armies achieved a significant victory over Austria, successfully reclaiming fortified castles from the cities of Yanik, Estragon, Belgrade, and others. Additionally, the forces excelled in their campaign in Hungary, defeating Austria in that region as well. Consequently, this led to Austria’s acceptance of peace negotiations and the payment of a tribute to the Ottoman Empire amounting to two hundred thousand gold ducats. As a result of this treaty, Hungary remained under the dominion of the Ottoman Empire. Naval conflicts occurred between Ottoman ships, Spanish vessels, the Knights of St. John in Malta, and the Italian states, with victories alternating between the opposing sides.

Secondly: Renewal of Privileges:

The state renewed the privileges granted to France and England, as well as the agreement with Poland, which prohibits the Crimean Tatars from encroaching upon Polish territory, while Poland is to prevent the Cossacks from infringing upon the Ottoman Empire. The Netherlands also acquired privileges, which they exploited to introduce tobacco within the Islamic territories. This led to its consumption among soldiers, prompting the mufti to issue a fatwa against it. In response, the soldiers revolted, supported by officials, forcing the scholars to remain silent on the matter. Thus, the soldiers began to follow their desires and oppose the scholars. Foreign, non-believing powers were keen on spreading every forbidden thing among Muslims. Allah, the Exalted, has permitted us to enjoy beneficial and wholesome things while prohibiting harmful substances that can affect our bodies, minds, and wealth. Consequently, scholars—may Allah have mercy on them—issued fatwas declaring the consumption, sale, and purchase of tobacco to be forbidden due to its religious, worldly, social, and health-related harms, which include: [1] It is smoke that neither nourishes nor satisfies hunger. 2. It is detrimental to precious health, and anything harmful in this way is prohibited. 3. It is classified among the forbidden impurities, as Allah said: “And He makes lawful for them the good things and prohibits for them the evil” (Al-A’raf: 157). 4. The smell of smoke is harmful to those who do not use it etc. Scholars cited various pieces of evidence; however, due to the weak educational motivation and the diminished authority of the state responsible for enforcing the laws, insubordination may arise among soldiers and individuals.

Thirdly: The War with the Safavid Shiites (Persians):

Shah Abbas of the Safavid dynasty seized the opportunity presented by the turmoil within the Ottoman Empire and initiated efforts to liberate Persian Iraq. He occupied Tabriz, Ujan, and other regions, ultimately managing to take Baghdad and sites in Najaf, Karbala, and Kufa. During his visit to these sites, he displayed great reverence and veneration. Some historians note that he spent ten days in Najaf, personally attending to the people there. He also imposed severe punishments on the Sunni adversaries of the state, often resorting to execution or blinding. He showed no leniency towards them unless they renounced their perceived heretical beliefs and pledged allegiance to the Shiite faith. [Footnote a]

The Ottoman Empire was compelled to cede to the Safavid Shiite state all the regions, countries, castles, and fortresses that had been conquered by the Ottomans during the reign of Sultan Sulayman, including the city of Baghdad. This marked the first treaty in which the empire relinquished some of its conquests, signaling the onset of decline and weakness, and it was the first agreement that indicated the diminishing power of the Ottoman state.

Shah Abbas I of the Safavid dynasty exhibited an extreme animosity towards the Sunnis. He established connections with Christian monarchs and, in a bid to undermine the Ottoman Empire, the protector of Sunni Islam (at the time). He entered into cooperative agreements with them aimed at destabilizing the foundations of the Sunni Ottoman state and was even willing to make numerous concessions to European nations as a demonstration of his collaboration, driven by his hostility towards the Ottoman Empire. He treated Christians in Iran favorably, in contrast to his treatment of Sunni Muslims. His preferential treatment of Christians led to a revitalization of Christian missionary activities within the country. Additionally, he encouraged European merchants to engage in substantial trade agreements with Iranian traders, transforming Iran into a thriving market for European commerce. His tolerance towards Christians culminated in his decree in 1007 AH / 1598 CE, which prohibited any harm against them and granted them the freedom to move about within the Safavid state. The decree issued by the Shah of the Safavid state stated the following:

From this day forward, citizens of the Christian faith, as well as those who adhere to their religion, are permitted to enter any part of our homeland. No individual shall, under any circumstances, insult them. In light of the amicable and loving relations we maintain with Christian monarchs, Christian merchants are allowed to travel throughout Iran and conduct their business in any area of the country without facing harm from anyone, whether they be a ruler, prince, khan, official, or state subordinate. Furthermore, all goods brought by them for trade shall be exempt from taxation. No individual, regardless of their status, shall interfere with them or impose burdens upon them. Additionally, religious leaders, irrespective of their sects, are prohibited from harming them or engaging in discussions regarding doctrinal beliefs. He extended courtesies to Christians, celebrating their festivals. This treatment of Christians was a strategic move aimed at undermining the Sunni Ottoman Empire. [Footnote b]

Fourthly: Separatist Movements:

During the reign of Sultan Ahmad I, internal movements emerged with the aim of undermining the structure and integrity of the state. Notable among these were the movements led by Jan Bolad, a Kurdish leader, and the governor of Ankara, Qalandar Oglu, as well as the movement of Fakhr al-Din al-Druzi, the grandson of Fakhr al-Din al-Ma’ani I, who had allied with Sultan Salim I upon his entry into Syria in the year 922 AH. These movements caused significant internal unrest, prompting the state to appoint a seasoned minister whose advanced age had endowed him with extensive experience and knowledge, leading to his appointment as Grand Vizier, where he became a crucial support for the young sultan. He successfully defeated the rebels, particularly the Anatolian insurgent Qalandar Oglu, who had been appointed governor of Ankara. The state took decisive action against him, and Grand Vizier Kuyucu Murad Pasha succeeded in purging Anatolia of these insurgents.

The passing of Sultan Ahmad I was marked by his profound piety and dedication to religious duties. He actively managed state affairs and exhibited humility in his attire. Known for his frequent consultations with scholars and leaders, he held a deep affection for the Prophet. During his reign, the practice of sending curtains to the Kabh from Istanbul began in 1617, a tradition that had previously been carried out from Egypt. Muslim leaders are tasked with implementing these principles to serve the interests of the Muslims, fulfill their sacred duties, and maintain the integrity of the Islamic faith, wheras what is well-known throughout Islamic history is that the Rafidah extend a preferential disposition towards non-Muslims for the purpose of subjecting Sunnis to unjust treatment. This behaviour is a calculated strategy to undermine the Sunnis and promote their heretical beliefs and practices. The Sunnis alone possess the capacity to challenge these erroneous beliefs of the Rafidah and elucidate to non-Muslims the distinctions between Islam and the polytheism propagated by the Rafidah. They said, “We have killed the Messiah, son of Maryam, Allah’s Messenger” Part 1

In The Name of Allah, The Most` Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

And [for] their saying, “Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah.” And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but the resemblance of ‘Iesa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not [i.e. ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)]: But Allah raised him [‘Iesa (Jesus)] up (with his body and soul) unto Himself (and he is in the heavens). And Allah is Ever All-Powerful, All-Wise. [An-Nisa 157-158]

Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah].

Imam Ibn kathir, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: (Meaning):

We (i.e. the plotters) have killed this one (i.e. Jesus) who claimed this position (or rank) for himself”. This statement was made from the angle of false accusation and mockery, similar to the statement of the polytheists: [يا أيها الذي نزل عليه الذكر إنك لمجنون – O you to whom the Reminder has been revealed, indeed you are insane]. [Al-Hijr 6]

“The Rabis of the Jews (at that time) when Allah sent Isa (Jesus), the son of Mary, with clear signs and guidance, they envied him for the prophethood and the remarkable miracles bestowed upon him. These miracles included healing the blind and the leprous, as well as raising the dead by Allah’s permission. He fashioned a bird from clay, breathed into it, and it became a living bird that flew by Allah’s will, among other miracles that Allah honored him with and manifested through his hands. Despite this, they belied and opposed him, and endeavored to harm him in every possible way unil the Prophet Jesus, peace be upon him, could not reside among them in the town; instead, he and his mother, peace be upon them, frequently traveled. Yet, this was not enough to satisfy them, as they sought the king of Damascus at that time—a man who was a polytheist and a worshiper of celestial bodies, known as the Greeks. They reported to him that there was a man in Jerusalem who was misleading the people and corrupting the king’s subjects. This infuriated the king, prompting him to write to his deputy in Jerusalem, instructing him to take precautions against the mentioned individual, to crucify him, and to place a crown of thorns upon his head, in order to stop harm on the people”…until the point at which Imam Ibn Kathir stated:

“Indeed, Allah has clarified and elucidated the matter in the magnificent Quran, which He revealed to His noble Messenger, supported by miracles, clear signs, and evident proofs. He, (Allah) – [The Most truthful in speech, the Lord of the entire existence, the one who knows the secrets and innermost thoughts, knows the hidden in the heavens and the earth, knows all that has occurred, all that is to occur (and occurring), and all that did not occur and how it would have occurred if it was to occur] – stated: [وما قتلوه وما صلبوه ولكن شبه لهم – And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but the resemblance of ‘Iesa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man)]. They saw someone resembling him and mistakenly believed it to be him, thus Allah stated: [وإن الذين اختلفوا فيه لفي شك منه ما لهم به من علم إلا اتباع الظن – and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture]. [وما قتلوه يقينا بل رفعه الله إليه – For surely; they killed him not [i.e. ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)]: But Allah raised him [‘Iesa (Jesus)] up (with his body and soul) unto Himself (and he is in the heavens)]. Meaning, those among the Jews who claimed to have killed him and those among the ignorant Christians who believed the same; all of them are in doubt, confusion, misguidance, and error. Thus, Allah stated: [وما قتلوه يقينا – For surely; they killed him not] – Meaning, they were not certain it was him, but rather were in doubt and delusion. [1]

[وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ وَمَا صَلَبُوهُ وَلَكِنْ شُبِّهَ لَهُمْ – And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but the resemblance of ‘Iesa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man)].

Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

This statement was directed towards the Jews (i.e. those among them who plotted against Isa), and dispraised them for their actions. The Christians were not mentioned because it was those (particular) Jews who were responsible for the crucifixion of the one who was likened to Isa. None of the Christians were present with them; in fact, the disciples were fearful and absent, thus no one among them witnessed the crucifixion. Instead, it was those Jews who informed the people that they have crucified the Messiah. The accounts of His crucifixion that reached both Christians and others originated from those Jews, who were agents of oppression. They were not numerous enough to prevent their agreement on lying”. [2]

Imam Ibn Hazm, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

The Christians themselves acknowledged that they did not endevour to get hold of his body during the day due to fear of the public; instead, they took him at night after the people had dispersed following the Passover. Furthermore, it is stated that he remained on the cross for only six hours during the day and was taken down shortly thereafter. The crucifixion allegedly occurred in a location distant from the city, in a garden owned by a potter, which is not a recognised site for crucifixions. After all of this, it would be that they established a context to say that his companions would have run off with his body (in secret) and that Maryam Magdalene, a woman among the common people, did not approach the site of the crucifixion but stood at a distance, observing everything as described in their Gospel. This undermines the notion that the crucifixion was reported (and witnessed) by all people (or numerous people) because it appears to be a concealed and colluded event.

At that time, according to the Gospel, the disciples were fearful for their own safety, fled and remained hidden. And that Peter entered the house of Caiaphas the priest during daylight, so he said to him, “Are you one of Jesus’s associates?” However, he denied this and fled the premises; then how about the claim that it was reported by everyone! This is the meaning of the verse [ولكن شبه لهم – but the resemblance of ‘Iesa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man)], meaning, those wicked individuals who orchestrated this falsehood conspired together and misled their followers into believing that they had crucified and killed him, despite knowing that this was a lie.

It was never the case that everyone reported the [alleged killing of Isa, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him], but even if it were true that they did, then how could it not be possible regarding the fact that every miracle does alter natural phenomena and changes the way senses normally perceive things? If it were indeed the case that everyone saw (or reported) it, then Allah’s statement regarding this event is that He likened another person to Isa, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and blocked their perceptions in the manner they perceived it, (so they thought that it was him who was crucified whereas, it was someone else). This event would be comparable to the migration of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, at night, during which a hundred men from Quraysh, sought after him, yet Allah concealed their vision from him, preventing them from seeing him. However, as for what is not established based on Allah’s statement that He made something appear in a way that is not what is seen or perceived in reality, it would not be permissible to regard it as such, as it leads to an impossibility. Thus, the changing of nature and natural things from what they are in reality cannot be considered possible unless there is definitive proof from Allah, which must be accepted. [Footnote a] But the reality of something can be misperceived by one or two individuals, as well as a result of insanity or foolishness. However, this cannot happen to an entire group (i.e. the populace).

And regarding Allah’s statement: [وما قتلوه وما صلبوه ولكن شبه لهم – And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but the resemblance of ‘Iesa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man)]. This is regarding those who say that Isa, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was crucified due to blindly following their predecessors among the Christians and Jews. These people were (deceived) based on doubtful (ambiguous) report, as they entered into something false that is made to resemble the truth. The evil elders at that time entered them into this falsehood that was made to resemble the truth. The claimants (those Jews who disbelieved in Isa) told them that they killed and crucified him, while they knew that it was not the case; instead, they secretly conspired to kill and crucify him, preventing public attendance, and subsequently claimed to have killed and buried him to mislead the general populace, who were led to believe the false narrative that was made to resemble the truth. [3]

————————————————————–

Footnote a: The miracles of the Prophets and righteous people who adhered/ adhere to the divine revelation without deviation in creed or worship must not be mistaken for the deceptions of magicians, the people of innovation in religious matters and the devils. Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

The Khawariq [Phenomena attributed to something outside the norm] by way of which the devils misguide the children of Adam – such as when the devils take the image of a person who is absent or has passed away and what is similar to this – has misguided many of those who ascribe themselves to the Muslims or to the people of the Scripture. They establish this on two affairs: Firstly, that whoever from whom these khawaariq occurs is a Wali, and according to the term of the Christians he is a Qadees A’dheem – a great saint! Secondly, that the one from whom these khawaariq occurs is therefore infallible, everything he narrates is truth and everything he commands is justice”.

However, it can definitely be the case that neither did a phenomena outside the norm – whether unrelated or related to sound knowledge and piety – occur from such a person nor a phenomena outside the normal related to deeds of the devils; rather the person merely carried out the tricks of the liars and wicked sinners. The tricks of the liars and wicked sinners are numerous indeed, so one thinks that they are amazing events outside the norm, however neither is that the case nor is it something similar to the tricks of the monks. Some people have written books regarding the tricks of the monks, such as the trick reported about one of them changing water into oil- that when the oil is in the interior of the lighthouse, the water gradually reduces and thus the oil floats [or pops up] on the water, so those who are present think that the water has changed into oil. The likes of this affair are numerous from the tricks of those Christians, because all that those Christians possess – those who altered the religion of the Messiah [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] – of activities that are attributed to something out of the norm are either from the devils or they are tricks, and there’s nothing in them related to the miracles of the righteous people.

Likewise, the deviated people – those who seek to alter the religion of Muhammad – adopt a religion that is not legislated by Allah and His Messenger, then they make it a path of worship and give it precedence over the path that is legislated by Allah and His Messenger. For example, they give precedence to listening to sounds from the tambourines and the shrill flutes over listening to the book of Allah, so one of them goes into a state of ecstasy and a satanic trance through which he becomes muddled up with shaytan until he speaks in a language he does not know. Then when he returns to his senses – just as when a jinn speaks through the tongue of the one who is possessed and after informing the people of that which is in his heart and soul, which is from the shaytan, and the shaytan leaves him -, he cannot repeat what he said at first.

The heretics alter the religion of the Messengers – either the religion of the Messiah or seek to alter the religion of Muhammad, and amongst the likes of such people are the proponents of hearsay, misguidance, the disbelievers, the polytheists, apostates and other than them, such as the likes of Musaylimah the liar, Al-Aswad Al-Unzee, Al-Haarith Ad-Dimashqee, Baabaa Roomee and other than them amongst those who engaged in activities that are considered to be outside the norm [i.e. so called miracles] but [in reality] are related to the deeds of the devils.

As for the tricksters, they are numerous and they are not Awliyaa of Allah. Their so called amazing activities that are outside the norm- if not related to the satanic deeds of the soothsayers and the magicians – a just tricks. They deliberately lie and deceive unlike those connected to the devils, because amongst them is he who deceives, so one thinks that what he does is from the miracles of the righteous people, just as amongst them is one who knows that what he does is from the devils, but he does so in order to achieve his goals.

The intent behind this discussion is that many of the activities that are considered to be outside of the norm [i.e. so called miracles] are either satanic deeds or tricks, so one thinks that they are the true miracles of the righteous people, for indeed that which whose cause is based on Shirk and wicked deeds can only be from the devils, such as when a person associates partners with Allah by invoking the stars, or invokes a person- whether such a person is dead or absent, or he makes an oath through unknown words and statements whose meanings are not known, or he knows that they are names of devils, or seeks aid through lewd conduct and oppression, then such deeds – considered to be outside of the norm that emanates from this – are from the devils.

The righteous people have miracles such as the miracles of the pious people of this Ummah [may Allah have mercy upon them], the miracles of the disciples of the Messiah [may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon the Messiah, and may Allah have mercy upon the disciples] and other than them amongst those who were upon the correct and unaltered religion of the Messiah. However, the occurrence of miracles at the hands of the righteous people does not necessitate that they are infallible like the Prophets [peace and blessings of Allah be upon them]; rather it maybe that a righteous man- a Wali – has miracles, but despite this he mixes up by error and makes a mistake in that which he thinks or what he is made to hear or see, or what he sees, or what he understands from the revealed Scripture. And because of this, the statements of those other than the Prophets [peace and blessings of Allah be upon them] can either be accepted or rejected [i.e. based on evidence], but as for the Prophets [peace and blessings of Allah be upon them], it is obligated on a person to affirm truthfully everything they have related regarding the affairs of the unseen and obey them in everything they command. And due to this, Allaah [The Exalted] obligated on a person to believe in everything the Prophets [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon them] brought and did not obligate on a person to believe in everything that comes from others.

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

Say (O Muslims), “We believe in Allah and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma’il (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), Ya’qub (Jacob), and to Al-Asbat [the twelve sons of Ya’qub (Jacob)], and that which has been given to Musa (Moses) and ‘Iesa (Jesus), and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islam).” [Surah Al-Baqarah. Aayah 136]

Allah [The Exalted] said:

It is not Al-Birr (piety, righteousness, and each and every act of obedience to Allah, etc.) that you turn your faces towards east and (or) west (in prayers); but Al-Birr is (the quality of) the one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the Angels, the Book, the Prophets. [Al-Baqarah. 177]

And because of this the Muslims are all in agreement that the one who disbelieved in a single Prophet whose Prophethood is well known, then he is a disbeliever- an apostate. There is no distinction between one Prophet from the other- by believing in some and disbelieving in others. Allah said:

Verily, those who disbelieve in Allah and His Messengers and wish to make distinction between Allah and His Messengers (by believing in Allah and disbelieving in His Messengers) saying, “We believe in some but reject others,” and wish to adopt a way in between. They are in truth disbelievers. And We have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating torment. [Surah An-Nisaa. Aayaat 150-151] [4]

Dialogue with Steven Drucker about Jesus’s birth and to whom he was sent sent as a Prophet and Messenger

Allah, The Exalted, said:

وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ أَكْثَرُهُمْ إِلَّا ظَنًّا إِنَّ ٱلظَّنَّ لَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ شَيْـًٔا إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَ

And most of them follow nothing but conjecture. Certainly, conjecture can be of no avail against the truth. Surely, Allah is All-Aware of what they do. [Yunus 36]

In the above post, Steven Drucker quoted:

Response

The narrative of Isa (Jesus), peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, is well known for its precise details found in the final and infallible divine revelation, namely The Qur’an and the Sunnah. Allah, The Exalted, stated:

And mention in the Book (the Qur’an, O Muhammad , the story of) Maryam (Mary), when she withdrew in seclusion from her family to a place facing east. She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent to her Our Ruh [angel Jibrael (Gabriel)], and he appeared before her in the form of a man in all respects. She said: “Verily! I seek refuge with the Most Beneficent (Allah) from you, if you do fear Allah.” (The angel) said: “I am only a Messenger from your Lord, (to announce) to you the gift of a righteous son.” She said: “How can I have a son, when no man has touched me, nor am I unchaste?” He said: “So (it will be), your Lord said: ‘That is easy for Me (Allah): And (We wish) to appoint him as a sign to mankind and a mercy from Us (Allah), and it is a matter (already) decreed, (by Allah).’ So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a far place (i.e. Bethlehem valley about 4-6 miles from Jerusalem). And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a date-palm. She said: “Would that I had died before this, and had been forgotten and out of sight!” Then [the babe ‘Iesa (Jesus) or Jibrael (Gabriel)] cried unto her from below her, saying: “Grieve not! Your Lord has provided a water stream under you; and shake the trunk of date-palm towards you, it will let fall fresh ripe-dates upon you. So eat and drink and be glad, and if you see any human being, say: ‘Verily! I have vowed a fast unto the Most Beneficent (Allah) so I shall not speak to any human being this day.’”

Then she brought him (the baby) to her people, carrying him. They said: “O Mary! Indeed you have brought a thing Fariya (an unheard mighty thing). “O sister (i.e. the like) of Harun (Aaron) [not the brother of Musa (Moses), but he was another pious man at the time of Maryam (Mary)]! Your father was not a man who used to commit adultery, nor your mother was an unchaste woman.” Then she pointed to him. They said: “How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?” He [‘Iesa (Jesus)] said: “Verily! I am a slave of Allah, He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet; and He has made me blessed wheresoever I be, and has enjoined on me Salat (prayer), and Zakat, as long as I live. And dutiful to my mother, and made me not arrogant, unblest. And Salam (peace) be upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I shall be raised alive!”

Such is ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). (it is) a statement of truth, about which they doubt (or dispute). It befits not (the Majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son [this refers to the slander of Christians against Allah, by saying that ‘Iesa (Jesus) is the son of Allah]. Glorified (and Exalted be He above all that they associate with Him). When He decrees a thing, He only says to it, “Be!” and it is. [‘Iesa (Jesus) said]: “And verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him (Alone). That is the Straight Path. (Allah’s Religion of Islamic Monotheism which He did ordain for all of His Prophets).” Then the sects differed [i.e. the Christians about ‘Iesa (Jesus)], so woe unto the disbelievers [those who gave false witness by saying that ‘Iesa (Jesus) is the son of Allah] from the meeting of a great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection, when they will be thrown in the blazing Fire). How clearly will they (polytheists and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) see and hear, the Day when they will appear before Us! But the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers) today are in plain error. And warn them (O Muhammad ) of the Day of grief and regrets, when the case has been decided, while (now) they are in a state of carelessness, and they believe not. Verily! We will inherit the earth and whatsoever is thereon. And to Us they all shall be returned. [Maryam 16-40]

And (remember) when the angels said: “O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allah has chosen you, purified you (from polytheism and disbelief), and chosen you above the women of the ‘Alamin (mankind and jinns) (of her lifetime). O Mary! Submit yourself with obedience to your Lord (Allah, by worshipping none but Him Alone) and prostrate yourself, and Irka’i (bow down etc.) along with Ar-Raki’un (those who bow down etc.).” This is a part of the news of the Ghaib (unseen, i.e. the news of the past nations of which you have no knowledge) which We inspire you with (O Muhammad ). You were not with them, when they cast lots with their pens as to which of them should be charged with the care of Maryam (Mary); nor were you with them when they disputed.

(Remember) when the angels said: “O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allah gives you the glad tidings of a Word [“Be!” – and he was! i.e. ‘Iesa (Jesus) the son of Maryam (Mary)] from Him, his name will be the Messiah ‘Iesa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), held in honour in this world and in the Hereafter, and will be one of those who are near to Allah. He will speak to the people in the cradle and in manhood, and he will be one of the righteous.” She said: “O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man has touched me.” He said: “So (it will be) for Allah creates what He wills. When He has decreed something, He says to it only: “Be!” and it is. And He (Allah) will teach him [‘Iesa (Jesus)] the Book and Al-Hikmah (i.e. the Sunnah, the faultless speech of the Prophets, wisdom, etc.), (and) the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel). And will make him [‘Iesa (Jesus)] a Messenger to the Children of Israel (saying): “I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, that I design for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah’s Leave; and I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I bring the dead to life by Allah’s Leave. And I inform you of what you eat, and what you store in your houses. Surely, therein is a sign for you, if you believe. And I have come confirming that which was before me of the Taurat (Torah), and to make lawful to you part of what was forbidden to you, and I have come to you with a proof from your Lord. So fear Allah and obey me. Truly! Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him (Alone). This is the Straight Path.

Then when ‘Iesa (Jesus) came to know of their disbelief, he said: “Who will be my helpers in Allah’s Cause?” Al-Hawariun (the disciples) said: “We are the helpers of Allah; we believe in Allah, and bear witness that we are Muslims (i.e. we submit to Allah).” Our Lord! We believe in what You have sent down, and we follow the Messenger [‘Iesa (Jesus)]; so write us down among those who bear witness (to the truth i.e. La ilaha ill-Allah – none has the right to be worshipped but Allah). And they (disbelievers) plotted [to kill ‘Iesa (Jesus)], and Allah planned too. And Allah is the Best of the planners.

And (remember) when Allah said: “O ‘Iesa (Jesus)! I will take you and raise you to Myself and clear you [of the forged statement that ‘Iesa (Jesus) is Allah’s son] of those who disbelieve, and I will make those who follow you (Monotheists, who worship none but Allah) superior to those who disbelieve [in the Oneness of Allah, or disbelieve in some of His Messengers, e.g. Muhammad , ‘Iesa (Jesus), Musa (Moses), etc., or in His Holy Books, e.g. the Taurat (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), the Qur’an] till the Day of Resurrection. Then you will return to Me and I will judge between you in the matters in which you used to dispute.

As to those who disbelieve, I will punish them with a severe torment in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers. And as for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah) and do righteous good deeds, Allah will pay them their reward in full. And Allah does not like the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers). This is what We recite to you (O Muhammad ) of the Verses and the Wise Reminder (i.e. the Qur’an). Verily, the likeness of ‘Iesa (Jesus) before Allah is the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust, then (He) said to him: “Be!” – and he was. (This is) the truth from your Lord, so be not of those who doubt. [Aal Imran 42-60]

The exact date of the birth of the noble Prophet Isa (Jesus), peace be upon him, is not specified in the final infallible revelation, nor is it known by the people of the Scripture. Furthermore, it is not deemed essential to ascertain this information. However, it is essential to illuminate certain aspects of this topic, revealing that his birth did not occur on the 25th of December. This date, historically linked to other events later intertwined with Christian religious beliefs, thus warranting a closer examination.

“Both “Matthew” and “Luke” pinpoint the birth of Jesus Christ to the period when “Herod” was reigning as king over Judea, particularly during the final days of his rule. He passed away in 4 BC according to the Roman calendar, which indicates that the birth of Jesus occurred prior to this date. This suggests that it likely took place around the end of the fifth year or the beginning of the fourth year before Christ. The author of the third Gospel states: “In the fifteenth year of the reign of Emperor Tiberius, when Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea, Herod was tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip was tetrarch of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias was tetrarch of Abilene, during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John son of Zechariah in the wilderness. He went into all the region around the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. When all the people were baptised, Jesus was also baptised.” This indicates that Jesus Christ, at the age of thirty, was baptised by the Prophet John (known as John the Baptist), during the fifteenth year of Emperor Tiberius, around 26 or 27 CE. Therefore, his birth would correspond to either 6 or 4 BCE.

The author of the third Gospel also connects the birth of Jesus Christ to the census ordered by the governor of Syria, Quirinius, under the directive of Emperor Augustus. Historically, historians agree that “Quirinius” served as the governor of Syria between 6 and 12 BC, and the census he ordered in Judea took place around 6 or 7 CE, as noted by “Josephus.” However, “Tertullian” claims that the census conducted in Judea was carried out by “Sentius,” the governor of Syria, in 7 or 8 BC. This suggests that if this census is the one referenced by Luke in his Gospel, then the birth of Jesus Christ would have occurred around 6 BC. The specific birth date of Prophet Jesus, from the perspective of Christianity, is inevitably considered speculative and is lacking reliable and verified document to support it. Moreover, the celebration of Christmas on December 25 is not mentioned in the Bible, nor was it observed in early Christianity”. [1]

We shall now draw upon the Shaikh Abu Khadeejah’s research, referencing some sources that delve into the celebration of Christmas and its connection to the designation of December 25th as the birth date of the Messiah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. Shaikh Abu Khadeejah, may Allah preserve him, stated:

The celebration was a pagan practice introduced into the Christian faith by the Catholic Church. The Catholic Encyclopedia (1911 edition) itself states, “Christmas was not among the earliest festivals of the church. The first evidence of the feast comes from Egypt… Pagan customs centring around the month of January gravitated to Christmas.”

So this was centuries after Jesus (peace be upon him) was taken up into the Heavens. In the same Catholic Encyclopedia under the title ‘Natal Day’, the early Catholic father, Origen stated, “In the Scriptures, no one is recorded to have kept a feast or held a banquet on his birthday. It was only the sinners who made great rejoicings over the day in which they were born into this world.”

In the 1946 edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica, it states, “Christmas (or the Mass of Christ) was not from the earliest festivals of the church.” It is clear from these short references that the well-known festival has no basis or authority in Scripture. The 1944 edition of Encyclopedia Americana states, “Christmas: It was, according to many authorities, not celebrated in the first centuries of the Christian Church.” Elsewhere, the Encyclopedia states regarding Christmas, “A feast was established in memory of this event (i.e. the birth of Jesus) in the fourth century. In the fifth century, the Western Church ordered it to be celebrated forever on the day of the old Roman Feast of the birth of Sol, as no certain knowledge of the day of Christ’s birth existed.”

Sol was the solar deity in the Ancient Roman religion. According to at least one ancient source dating back to 354 CE, the Romans held a festival on the twenty-first of December called, “the birthday of the unconquered one” which refers to Sol, the solar deity. The winter solstice (or midwinter) marks the day with the shortest hours of daylight and the longest night of the year. The day after is the day when the sunlight hours start to extend once more, so they saw this as a great day to be celebratedJulius Caesar introduced his own calendar in the year 45 BCE and he marked the winter solstice as the twenty-fifth of December, though it is actually the twenty-first or twenty-second of the month. It is this twenty-fifth day of December that eventually found its way into the Christian Religion, and is celebrated across the world by ill-informed and unlearned Christians, as well as groups of clueless Muslims and people of many other religions.

So for the first three hundred years after Jesus (peace be upon him), the celebration had no connection to Christianity, then in the fourth century it was instituted, and in the fifth, it was ordered by the Western Church. This is similar to what some Muslims have done by introducing a celebration in memory of the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). These practices have no basis in scripture or revelation, rather they are latter-day innovations rooted in pagan festivals. [2] [End of quote]

Futhermore, we now present a brief reflection on Steven’s comments regarding Isa (Jesus), may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: “a Galilean Jew whose life and teachings inspired the Christian religion, currently the largest in the world”. [end of quote]

First, it is unequivocal that the esteemed Prophet Isa (Jesus), peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, hailed from Bani Israel. Ibn Al-Athir, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

Imran Ibn Mathan, who is the grandfather of Jesus, peace be upon him, and the father of Mary, was a descendant of Sulayman, son of Dawud, peace be upon them. The family of Mathan held prominent positions as leaders and scholars among the Children of Israel. [3]

Imam Ibn Kathir, may Allah have mercy upon him, stated:

“There is no disagreement that she [meaning Maryam, peace be upon her] is from the lineage of Dawud, peace be upon him, and her father, Imran, was the one who led the prayers of the Children of Israel during his time.” [4]

Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy upon him, stated:

“There is no doubt that the people of Musa, peace be upon him, were the Children of Israel, and the Torah was revealed in their language. Likewise, the Children of Israel are the people of Christ, peace be upon him, and he spoke in their tongue. Neither of the two Messengers addressed anyone in any language other than Hebrew; neither spoke in Latin, Syriac, Greek, nor Coptic.” [5]

It is well known among the Christians that Christ spoke exclusively in Hebrew, similar to other prophets of the Israelites. Furthermore, it is noted that He was circumcised on the eighth day, in accordance with the customs of the Israelites, and that He prayed facing their designated direction, rather than towards the east, nor did he instruct others to pray in that direction. [6]

Secondly, it appears that Steven has either forgotten or intentionally disregarded the crucial detail that Isa (Jesus), peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was specifically sent to the Children of Israel. His teachings were rooted in the Torah, complemented by the Injeel, the new scripture bestowed upon him as a Messenger, and the Children were instructed to adhere to his guidance. Consequently, to confine Christianity solely to a group identified as Christians, while omitting the fact that his initial mission was directed towards the Children of Israel, diverts attention from the fundamental essence of the discussion.

Allah, The Exalted, said:

And (remember) when Jesus, son of Mary, said: ” Children of Israel, I am the Messenger of Allāh to you, confirming what came before me of the Torah and giving good tidings of a Messenger to come after me whose name is Aḥmad”. But when he (the prophesied messenger, Muḥammad) came to them (the Jews) with clear evidences, they said: “This is plain magic”. [As-Saff. 6]

Allah said:

And in their footsteps, We sent ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), confirming the Taurat (Torah) that had come before him, and We gave him the Injeel (Gospel), in which was guidance and light and confirmation of the Taurat (Torah) that had come before it, a guidance and an admonition for the pious. [Al-Ma’idah 46]

“And in their footsteps”, meaning, “We succeeded the prophets of the Children of Israel with Isa (Jesus), son of Mary, who confirmed the Torah that preceded him. Meaning, he believed in it and judge according to its teachings. “And We gave him Injeel (Gospel) in which was guidance and light”, guiding to the truth and a light illuminating the path to removing doubts and solving problems. “And confirmation of the Taurat (Torah) that had come before it”, meaning, adhering to it and not doing other than what is in it, except in a few matters about which they differed, as Allah stated that the Messiah said to tyhe Children of Israel: “And to make lawful to you part of what was forbidden to you”. This is why the most well-known statement of the scholars (of Islam) is that the Gospel abrogated certain laws of the Torah. [7]

Thus, Steven is reminded that Isa (Jesus), peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, not only upheld the teachings of the Torah but also received the Injeel, accompanied by further guidance. Nevertheless, a significant number of Jews during that time rejected his message, sought to undermine his mission, and even plotted against his life, yet Allah safeguarded him. Prior to the arrival of Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, many Jews continued to disbelieve in Isa, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, while numerous Christians had already altered the original teachings of the Injeel, introducing elements that were never part of it. Consequently, both groups turned away from Muhammad when he was sent as the final Messenger, bearing a message intended to guide them all once more. Allah, The Most High, said:

O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Now has come to you Our Messenger (Muhammad) explaining to you much of that which you used to hide from the Scripture and passing over (i.e. leaving out without explaining) much. Indeed, there has come to you from Allah a light (Prophet Muhammad) and a plain Book (this Quran). Wherewith Allah guides all those who seek His Good Pleasure to ways of peace, and He brings them out of darkness by His Will unto light and guides them to a Straight Way (Islamic Monotheism). [Al-Ma’idah 16-17]

Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

When Allah, The Exalted, sent Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,, they disbelieved in him, thus their disbelief and misguidance occurred in two ways- substitution of the religion of the first Messenger (i.e. the Messiah) and belied the second Messenger (i.e. Muhammad), just as the Jews substituted the rulings of the Torah before the Messiah was sent and then belied him. The Christians’ denial of Muhammad’s Messengership is a well-known belief of theirs to every Muslim, which is similar to the Jews’ disbelief in the Messiah. The Christians emphasise the disbelief of the Jews greater than what the Jews deserve, because the Jews claimed that the Messiah was a magician and a liar; rather they said that he is an illegitimate child, as Allah informed us about them: [وَقَوۡلِهِمۡ عَلَىٰ مَرۡيَمَ بُہۡتَـٰنًا عَظِيمً۬ا – And their speech against Maryam (Mary)- a grave false charge (that she has committed illegal sexual intercourse]. [An-Nisaa. 156]; but the Christians claimed that the Messiah is Allah, therefore the trial between them and the Jews regarding the Messiah involved a lot of contradictions, misguidance at similar levels and confrontation, and this is why both nations rebuked one another with something more than what each of them deserved, just as Allah said:

The Jews said that the Christians follow nothing; and the Christians said that the Jews follow nothing; though they both recite the Scripture. Like unto their word, said (the pagans) who know not. Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection about that wherein they have been differing. [Al-Baqarah. 113]

Muhammad Bin Abee Muhammad the protege of Zaid Bin Thabit reported from Ikrimah or Saeed Bin Jubayr, who reported from Ibn Abbaas that when the Christian delegation of Najraan came to Allaah’s Messenger, the Rabbis came and argued with them in the presence of the Messenger; so Rabee Bin Hurmilah said, “You are upon nothing” and thus he disbelieved in Isa and all the Injeel. Then a man from the people of Najran said to the Jews, “You are upon nothing”, and thus he willfully denied Musa’s, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, Prophethood and disbelieved in the Torah, thus, Allah revealed: [وَقَالَتِ ٱلۡيَهُودُ لَيۡسَتِ ٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰ عَلَىٰ شَىۡءٍ۬ وَقَالَتِ ٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰ لَيۡسَتِ ٱلۡيَهُودُ عَلَىٰ شَىۡءٍ۬ وَهُمۡ يَتۡلُونَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ‌ۗ -The Jews said that the Christians follow nothing; and the Christians said that the Jews follow nothing; though they both recite the Scripture. [Al-Baqarah. 113]

So each of them recited the affirmation of what they reject in their book- meaning, the Jews disbelieved in Isa whilst they had the Torah in which Allah established the evidence against them through Musa that they should believe in Isa and the Injeel, and Isa confirmed Musa’s Messengership and what he came with. So, each one disbelieved in what was in the possession of the other. [Ibn Abee Hatim. 1/339]

[وَقَالَتِ ٱلۡيَهُودُ لَيۡسَتِ ٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰ عَلَىٰ شَىۡءٍ۬ – The Jews said that the Christians follow nothing]: Qatadah said regarding this verse, “Certainly, the early Christians were upon something, but they innovated and split”.

[وَقَالَتِ ٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰ لَيۡسَتِ ٱلۡيَهُودُ عَلَىٰ شَىۡءٍ۬ – and the Christians said that the Jews follow nothing]: Qatadah said regarding this verse: “Certainly, the early Jews were upon something, but they innovated and split”. The Jews belied the religion of the Christians and said that the Christians were upon nothing; and the Christians denied everything through which the Jews were distinguished from them, even the laws of the Torah which the Messiah did not abrogate; rather he commanded them to act upon it. As for the Jews, they denied many of things through which others were distinguished from them, until they denied the truth brought by Isa.

So, even though the Christians – due to that which they innovated of exaggeration and misguidance – went into extremes in excommunicating the Jews and showed them enmity beyond what is obligated, however there is no doubt that the Jews disbelieved when they belied the Messiah, as Allah [The Exalted] said to the Messiah [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him]:

[إِنِّى مُتَوَفِّيكَ وَرَافِعُكَ إِلَىَّ وَمُطَهِّرُكَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ڪَفَرُواْ وَجَاعِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوكَ فَوۡقَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ – I will take you and raise you to Myself and clear you [of the forged statement that ‘Isa (Jesus) is Allah’s son] of those who disbelieve, and I will make those who follow you (Monotheists, who worship none but Allah) superior to those who disbelieve [in the Oneness of Allah, or disbelieve in some of His Messengers, e.g. Muhammad, ‘Isa (Jesus), Musa (Moses), etc., or in His Holy Books, e.g. the Tawrat (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), the Qur’an] till the Day of Resurrection. [Aal Imran. 55]

Allah, The Exalted, said:

Isa the son of Maryam said to Al-Hawariun (the disciples): “Who are my helpers (in the Cause) of Allah?” Al-Hawarieen (the disciples) said: “We are Allah’s helpers” (i.e. we will strive in His Cause!). Then a group of the Children of Israel believed and a group disbelieved. So We gave power to those who believed against their enemies, and they became the uppermost. [As-Saff. 14]

The disbelief of the Christians – due to their denial of Muhammad’s Messengership and – is greater than the disbelief of the Jews due to their denial of the Messiah’s Messengership, because indeed the Messiah only abrogated a little from the Torah and all the laws and acts of worship ordained for him could be traced back to the Torah; however the majority of the beliefs and practices of the Christians were innovated after the departure of the Messiah. That which is found in the Jews’ denial of the Messiah by opposing Allah’s Shariah is not the same as the Christians’ denial of Muhammad, who brought an independent book from Allah, because nothing in the laws of the Qur’an was ordained based on the law of another Messenger. Allah [The Exalted] said:

[أَوَلَمۡ يَكۡفِهِمۡ أَنَّآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡڪِتَـٰبَ يُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِمۡ‌ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٲلِكَ لَرَحۡمَةً۬ وَذِڪۡرَىٰ لِقَوۡمٍ۬ يُؤۡمِنُونَ – Is it not sufficient for them that We have sent down to you the Book (the Qur’an) which is recited to them? Verily, herein is mercy and a reminder (or an admonition) for a people who believe]. [Al-Ankabut. 51]

The Qur’an is an independent book like the Torah of Musa, even though the Qur’an is greater than it. And this is why the Christian scholars made a connection between Musa and Muhammad, just as when An-Najaashee [may Allaah have mercy upon him]- the Ethiopian king of the Christians- heard the Qur’an, he said, “Indeed, this and what Musa brought came from the same source”. Also, when Waqarah bin Nawfil, may Allah have mercy upon him, – who was one of Christian Arab scholars- heard the statement of the Prophet, he said, “Indeed, the Naamoos [i.e. Jibreel] who came to you was sent to Musa. I wish that I were young till when your people expel you”. Allaah’s Messenger asked, “Will these people drive me out?” Waraqah said, “Yes, because nobody brought the like of what you have brought, but was treated with hostility. If I were to remain alive till your day (when you start calling to Islam), then I would support you strongly”. [Bukhari]

And this is why Allah mentioned the Torah and the Qur’an together in His statement:

But when the truth (i.e. Muhammad with his Message) has come to them from Us, they say: “Why is he not given the like of what was given to Musa (Moses)? Did they not disbelieve in that which was given to Musa (Moses) of old? They say: “Two kinds of magic [the Tawrat (Torah) and the Qur’an] each helping the other!” And they say: “Verily! In both we are disbelievers.” Say (to them, O Muhammad): “Then bring a Book from Allah, which is a better guide than these two [the Taurat (Torah) and the Qur’an], that I may follow it, if you are truthful.” [Al-Qasas. 48-49]

Allah did not revealed books that were a better guide than the Tawraat and the Qur’an. Then Allah said:

But if they answer you not (i.e. do not believe in your doctrine of Islamic Monotheism, nor follow you), then know that they only follow their own lusts. And who is more astray than one who follows his own lusts, without guidance from Allah? Verily! Allah guides not the people who are Zalimun (wrong-doers, disobedient to Allah, and polytheists). [Al-Qasas. 50] [8]

Where was Jesus buried?! [Mr. Reich, “Speculation regarding Prophets is strictly prohibited.”

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah, The Exalted, stated regarding those Jews who disbelieved in Prophet Isa (Jesus), peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and plotted to kill him:

The people of the Scripture (Jews) ask you (O Muhammad) to cause a book to descend upon them from heaven. Indeed they asked Musa (Moses) for even greater than that, when they said: “Show us Allah in public,” but they were struck with thunder clap and lightning for their wickedness. Then they worshipped the calf even after clear proofs, evidences, and signs had come to them. (Even) so We forgave them. And We gave Musa (Moses) a clear proof of authority. And for their covenant, We raised over them the Mount and (on the other occasion) We said: “Enter the gate prostrating (or bowing) with humility;” and We commanded them: “Transgress not (by doing worldly works on) the Sabbath (Saturday).” And We took from them a firm covenant. Because of their breaking the covenant, and of their rejecting the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, and of their killing the Prophets unjustly, and of their saying: “Our hearts are wrapped (with coverings, i.e. we do not understand what the Messengers say)” – nay, Allah has set a seal upon their hearts because of their disbelief, so they believe not but a little. And because of their disbelief and uttering against Maryam (Mary) a grave false charge (that she has committed illegal sexual intercourse); and because of their saying (in boast), “We killed Messiah ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allah,” – but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of ‘Iesa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who differ therein are full of doubts.

And there is none of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), but must believe in him [‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), as only a Messenger of Allah and a human being], before his [‘Iesa (Jesus) or a Jew’s or a Christian’s] death (at the time of the appearance of the angel of death). [Footnote a] And on the Day of Resurrection, he [‘Iesa (Jesus)] will be a witness against them. For the wrong-doing of the Jews, We made unlawful to them certain good foods which has been lawful to them, and for their hindering many from Allah’s Way; and their taking of Riba (usury) though they were forbidden from taking it and their devouring of men’s substance wrongfully (bribery, etc.). And We have prepared for the disbelievers among them a painful torment. [An-Nisa. 153-161]

In the above article, Aaron Reich ventured into speculation regarding the demise of Isa (Jesus), peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. However, it is an established truth that he was not slain, neither by the Romans nor by those among Bani Israel who rejected him and faltered in their scheme to take his life. Indeed, any assertion to the contrary is mere conjecture, as explicitly articulated in the final infallible divine revelation. Allah stated:

And because of their saying (in boast), “We killed Messiah ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allah,” – but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of ‘Iesa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. [end of quote]

In relation to their rejection of the Messiah and the Christians’ rejection of Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and all the Prophets, Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah’s mercy be upon him, articulated:

When Allah, The Exalted, sent Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,, they disbelieved in him, thus their disbelief and misguidance occurred in two ways- substitution of the religion of the first Messenger (i.e. the Messiah) and belied the second Messenger (i.e. Muhammad), just as the Jews substituted the rulings of the Torah before the Messiah was sent and then belied him.

So, even though the Christians – due to that which they innovated of exaggeration and misguidance – went into extremes in excommunicating the Jews and showed them enmity beyond what is obligated, however there is no doubt that the Jews disbelieved when they belied the Messiah, just as Allah [The Exalted] said to the Messiah [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him]: [إِنِّى مُتَوَفِّيكَ وَرَافِعُكَ إِلَىَّ وَمُطَهِّرُكَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ڪَفَرُواْ وَجَاعِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوكَ فَوۡقَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ – I will take you and raise you to Myself and clear you [of the forged statement that ‘Isa (Jesus) is Allah’s son] of those who disbelieve, and I will make those who follow you (Monotheists, who worship none but Allah) superior to those who disbelieve [in the Oneness of Allah, or disbelieve in some of His Messengers, e.g.

Allah [The Exalted] said: [أَوَلَمۡ يَكۡفِهِمۡ أَنَّآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡڪِتَـٰبَ يُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِمۡ‌ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٲلِكَ لَرَحۡمَةً۬ وَذِڪۡرَىٰ لِقَوۡمٍ۬ يُؤۡمِنُونَ – Is it not sufficient for them that We have sent down to you the Book (the Qur’an) which is recited to them?

Reflections from some statements of Al-Allamah Rabee Bin Hadi Al-Mad’khali [36 of 80]

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

O youth! It is obligated to you to adhere to the true path of Allah which Muhammad was sent with, implemented and conveyed by his companions, and adopted by those who followed them exactly in faith, and followed by the victorious group that adheres to Allah’s Book and the Sunnah of Allah’s Messenger. You must endure various forms of hardship, challenges, and difficulties in the path of steadfastness upon this truth and in conveying it. You must adhere to these (matters). The religion has become strange, (as) the Prophet stated: “Islam began as something strange and will return to being strange as it once was, so Toobaa (paradise, salvation) is for the strangers”. [a]

Numerous are the people of Bidah! It is greatly regrettable that they boast about this multitude, while Allah, The Exalted, said:

وَإِن تُطِعْ أَكْثَرَ مَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ يُضِلُّوكَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ

And if you obey most of those on earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allah. [Al-An’am 116]

Thus, the criterion is not based on quantity, whether large or small, but rather on what was conveyed by Muhammad, which distinguishes between truth and falsehood, guidance and misguidance, polytheism and monotheism, as well as Sunnah and Bidah. [Marhaban Yaa Talib Al-Ilm page 457]

[3] The Strangers

[2] The virtue of saving a life – [Reminder to those denying Zionist War Crimes]

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah, The Exalted, said:

مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا

If anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land – it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind. [Al-Ma’idah. 32]

Imam As-Sadi, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

If a person is bold enough to kill someone who does not deserve to be killed, this implies that he does make a distinction between the one he killed and other than him; rather he would commit this act whenever his evil calls him to that. Therefore, his bold attitude that led him to kill is as if he has killed all humankind. On the other hand, if a person saves a life and does not kill – whilst his soul calls him to do so – due to fear of Allah, this is as if he has saved the lives of all humankind because the fear of Allah he possesses stops him killing one who does not deserve to be killed. [An Excerpt from Tafsir As-Sadi]

In the above article from the Jerusalem Post, the author/s convey their strong disagreement with what they perceive as an exaggerated death toll of Palestinians and raise concerns about the transparency of Gaza’s health authorities in differentiating between combatants and non-combatants. Firstly, nevertheless, even if the statistics provided by various international organizations and Gaza officials contain mistakes, it does not lessen the tragedy of a single innocent life lost. Moreover, it does not change the fact that for more than 70 years, Palestinians have endured violence and oppression at the hands of Zionists, culminating in recent experiences of displacement, starvation, and death. Therefore, while it is crucial to report accurate information—especially in an age rife with misinformation, ideological conflicts, and propaganda—the primary concern for anyone with a sense of justice should be the urgent need to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.

Various organisations have recorded observations as follows:

Third, it is universally acknowledged that the actions taken by Hamas against unarmed civilians and non-combatants on October 7 are indefensible and are condemned unequivocally. “Upon this, to answer the eternally unanswered question of Piers Morgan, “Do you condemn Hamas?”, we condemn everyone who opposes the Divine Legislation by killing innocent civilians, including non-combatant men, the elderly, women, children, priests, monks and the likes, no matter who they are, Muslim or non-Muslim, whether ISIS, al-Qaeda, Hamas, Boko Haram or Benjamin Mileikowsky, the IDF, Settlers and their likes. Our condemnation is on the basis that such actions are unjust and oppose Divine Legislation and not because of the race or ethnicity or religion of the perpetrators, and thus we are able to maintain moral consistency and integrity. This is unlike Western politicians who are able to swiftly condemn Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and support Ukraine (the invaded and occupied in this case) with money and weapons for resistance, but unwilling to condemn the genocide and ethnic cleansing of Gazans, while supporting the Mileikowsky regime with bombs, missiles and military hardware to facilitate the execution of that genocide and ethnic cleansing. https://abuiyaad.com/a/amalekite-genocide-doctrine-gaza

Hamas must be condemned permanently for what they did, however, none can justify what Netanyahu’s army is doing under the guise of self-defense and retaliation. The reality of the situation is clear: the actions of the Zionist army under Netanyahu’s leadership amount to war crimes, and this is evident to all. Furthermore, the rhetoric employed by certain Zionist leaders, including Netanyahu himself, is telling and cannot be overlooked.

Introspection concerning the internal (hidden) adversary

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah, The Most High, says:

وَٱلَّذِينَ جَـٰهَدُواْ فِينَا لَنَہۡدِيَنَّہُمۡ سُبُلَنَا‌ۚ

As for those who strive hard in Us (Our Cause), We will surely guide them to Our Paths (i.e. Allah’s Religion – Islamic Monotheism)] [29:69]

Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

“Junaid, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: ‘Those who strive against their (vain) desires through repentance, Allah will guide them to the paths of sincerity. It is not possible to strive against the enemy in the open, except for the one who strives against these enemies inwardly. Thus, whoever is aided against them, he will be victorious against his enemy and whoever is made to be overcome by them, his enemy will be made victorious over him'”. [1]

Imam Ibn Al-Jawzi, may Allah have mercy upon, said:

Beware that (vain) desires urges an individuals to seek immediate gratification without contemplating its evil repercussions – urges one towards fleeting pleasures, despite the fact that it is a cause of pain and harm in this life and an obstruction to pleasure in the afterlife. In contrast, a sensible individual refrains from indulging in pleasures that ultimately yield pain and desires that lead to regret. This serves as a sufficient commendation of what a sound mind dictates and a rebuke against (vain) desires.

Beware that desires can dominate an individual across various domains of study, exits them them from the boundaries of sound reasoning and leading them into behaviour that resemble foolishness. It may infiltrate the realm of knowledge, causing a person to contradict what sound knowledge commands, or it may enter into Zuhd, resulting in a tendency towards Riyaa (showoff, ostentation).

A sensible individual should know that those who succumb to base desires ultimately find themselves in a condition where enjoyment eludes them. Simultaneously, they become incapable of relinquishing these desires, as they begin to perceive them as a necessity of life. Consequently, one observes that individuals struggling with alcoholism and sexual addiction derive minimal satisfaction from their pursuits, yet they find themselves ensnared in a dangerous cycle that compels them to repeatedly engage in these behaviours. However, when one attains clarity of vision and the allure of these base desires diminishes, it becomes evident that they have subjected themselves to a form of destruction that contradicts their well-being—resulting in sorrow and suffering rather than joy in their quest for pleasure. In this regard, they resemble an animal ensnared in a trap, having neither attained the bait that lured them nor the ability to escape.

One should contemplate the fact that humans were not created (solely) to satisfy their desires; instead, they have been endowed with (the capacity for sound knowledge, derived from divine revelation and untainted perception), to consider the repercussions of their actions and to engage in virtuous conduct for the sake of the Afterlife. An animal derives pleasure from eating, drinking, and mating to a greater extent than humans, yet they lead lives that lack reflection and awareness. Consequently, it is driven by its desires, remaining oblivious to the consequences of its actions.

One should reflect on the repercussions of (vain) desires, as many individuals are stripped of their virtues and descend into a state of moral decay as a result. Consider the various types of food that can lead to illness stemming from (unchecked) cravings. Furthermore, how many errors tarnish a person’s honour, resulting in a evil reputation and the burden of guilt from transgressions driven by (vain) desires, yet the individual remains fixated solely on those desires? The most fitting analogy for such a person is that of someone in a tannery; they remain oblivious to the unpleasant odour until they leave, at which point they become acutely aware of where they were.

A sensible individual ought to consider the disgrace that may arise from (vain) desires and the detrimental effects stemming from such pleasures, for they will realise that, in many instances, these consequences are directly linked to those desires and pleasures.

One should reflect on (the presence of) others, ponder and get a hint the potential (evil) outcomes. This reflection will reveal the culpability associated with actions that one might be guilty of. One should contemplate those pleasures, as (sound) reasoning will make them realises that they are merely (fleeting) desires and a situation of blindness. One should contemplate the honour a person receives due to being given the upper hand versus the degradation associated with yielding to one’s desires. The one who overcomes their (vain) desires will strengthen their honour, while the one who succumbs to their desires will not find except humiliation and subjugation in the soul. One should contemplate the benefits of resisting (base) desires, including the respect garnered in this life, the preservation of one’s soul and honour, as well as the rewards that await in the hereafter.
