Violence is most likely to breed more violence – Reminder to Cookie Schwaeber-issan

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Exalted] said:

وَإِذَا قُلۡتُمۡ فَٱعۡدِلُواْ وَلَوۡ ڪَانَ ذَا قُرۡبَىٰ‌ۖ

And when you testify, be just, even if (it concerns) a near relative.

Imam As-Sadi, may Allah preserve him, said:

When you testify by way of a statement to judge between people, differentiate between them in a discourse, and speak regarding matters and circumstances, be just in your speech, adhere to truthfulness regarding those you love and those you hate, be fair and do not conceal what needs to be made clear because it is forbidden and tantamount to injustice to divert (from justice and fairness) when speaking against the one you hate. [Tafsir As-Sadi]

It is incumbent upon Cookie to ensure that both perspectives are represented when discussing events. Regardless of the validity of the report, it is disheartening to witness children being exposed to one of the most heavily armed armies in the world, especially when the reasons behind this conflict are well known. At the same time, while these children are in need of people who will teach them the correct methodology in order to safeguard their lives and well-being, there are also some Zionists who have a greater need of being educated to abandon their path. Meat is lawful nourishment

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah said:

“And the cattle, He has created them for you; in them there is warmth (warm clothing), and numerous benefits, and of them you eat. And wherein is beauty for you, when you bring them home in the evening, and as you lead them forth to pasture in the morning. And they carry your loads to a land that you could not reach except with great trouble to yourselves. Truly, your Lord is full of Kindness, Most Merciful”.

Allah created them for you – for your benefit and wellbeing. And from its great benefits is that you have warmth from them by making clothing, beddings and tents from their wool, hirsute, their hairs and skins. You have other benefits from them, and eat from their (meat).

“And wherein is beauty for you, when you bring them home in the evening, and as you lead them forth to pasture in the morning”.

At the time when they are going to take a rest in the evening and when they are being taken out to graze. This is because the cattle do not (enjoy) any of that beauty, but rather you are the ones who enjoy their beauty, just as you beautify yourselves with your clothing, children and wealth, and you adore that.

“And they carry your loads to a land that you could not reach except with great trouble to yourselves. Truly, your Lord is full of Kindness, Most Merciful”.

You ride on some of them and others carry what you desire of heavy loads to faraway lands and regions.

“Truly, your Lord is full of Kindness, Most Merciful”.

He subjugated to you that which you need and cannot do without.

(He has created) horses, mules and donkeys, for you to ride and as an adornment”.

Sometimes you utilise them for riding and at other times for beauty and beautification.

“And He creates (other) things of which you have no knowledge”.

The things utilised by the people as means of transportation on land, at sea and in the air, and that which they utilise for their benefit and wellbeing after the revelation of the Qur’an, because Allah did not mention them specifically; rather He – in His Book – only mention what His servants knew at the time or its similarity. As for if he mentioned that which had no similarity at the time, then they would neither have known nor understood what is intended by it; therefore he mentioned the basis [of something] which included the things they know and the things they do not know, just as Allah mentioned the bliss in paradise and named the things we know and have seen their similarity, such as date palm trees, grapes and pomegranates, and then He mentioned in general the things whose similarity is unknown to us, as He stated in another Ayah:

فِيہِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَـٰكِهَةٍ۬ زَوۡجَانِ

“In them (both) will be every kind of fruit in pairs”.

Also, in this Ayah [i.e. An-Nahl Aayah 8], Allah mentions the transportation we know, such as horses, mules, donkeys, camels and ships, and mentioned in general the others, saying:

وَيَخۡلُقُ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ

“And He creates (other) things of which you have no knowledge”.

After mentioning the tangible path and that He created for the servants that which they utilise for journeys, such as camels and other them, He then mentioned the religious path that leads to His (Pleasure); so He said:

وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ قَصۡدُ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَمِنۡهَا جَآٮِٕرٌ۬‌ۚ

And upon Allah is the responsibility to explain the Straight Path (i.e. Islamic Monotheism for mankind i.e. to show them legal and illegal, good and evil things, etc. so, whosoever accepts the guidance, it will be for his own benefit and whosoever goes astray, it will be for his own destruction), but there are ways that turn aside (such as Paganism, distorted Judaism and Christianity after the departure of Musa and Eesaa etc.

Meaning, the straight path, and that is the only right path that leads to the (Pleasure) of Allah. As for the path that turn aside with regards creed and deeds, it is everything that opposes the straight path, because it severs a person from the path of Allah and leads to the destination of misery, thus, those who are rightly guided follow the straight path by the permission of their Lord, and the deviated ones deviate from it.

And had He willed, He would have guided you all (mankind).

Meaning, but He guided some out of His kindness and Grace, and did not guide others based on His Perfect Wisdom and Justice. (1) This happens based on Allah’s Perfect Wisdom and Just Decree, as recompense for one’s wickedness. (2) Such a person was not forced to go astray, rather he made a choice, even though his choice is under the Will of Allah. We do not know what was in the hearts of those who deviated, but we know – with absolute certainty – that Allah passes Just Judgments and He does not commit injustice against anything; rather it is the people who wrong themselves. (3)

Az-Zujaaj said, “It is Allah who will clarify the straight path and call to it with Hujaj [i.e. clear and overwhelming proofs that defeats all the obstinate and stubborn ones] and Burhaan [i.e. proofs that clarify and distinguish between truth and falsehood in everything]; “But there are ways that turn aside”.

Ibn Abbaas said, “They are the different types of desires [i.e. evil desires]”.

Ibnul Mubaarak said, “They are the (evil) desires and the innovations in religion”. (4)

Meat is not murder, it is nourishment – a rebuke against the extremist animal rights activist

Declaring Something Halal or Haram is the right of Allah

Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said:

The foundation of the religion of Islam is that the permissible things are those that Allah and His Messenger have made permissible, and the impermissible things are those that Allah and His Messenger have made impermissible. It is not allowed for anyone to leave the straight path Allah sent His Messenger with. Allah [The Most High] said:

وَأَنَّ هَـٰذَا صِرَٲطِى مُسۡتَقِيمً۬ا فَٱتَّبِعُوهُ‌ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ ٱلسُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمۡ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ‌ۚ ذَٲلِكُمۡ وَصَّٮٰكُم بِهِۦ لَعَلَّڪُمۡ تَتَّقُونَ

And verily, this is my Straight Path, so follow it, and follow not [other] paths, for they will separate you away from His Path. This He has ordained for you that you may become pious.

Abdullah Ibn Mas’ud reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, drew a line for us and said, “This is Allaah’s Straight Path”. Then he drew lines to its right and left and then said, “These are other paths. Upon every one of them there is a devil calling towards it”. Then he recited:

Indeed this is My Straight Path, so follow it. And do not follow other paths; they will separate you from His Path”. [Hadeeth reported by Imaam Ahmad in Al-Musnad 4437]

Indeed, Allah mentioned – in Surah Al-An’aam, Surah Al-A’raaf and other them – those deeds the idol worshipers were rebuked for, when they declared impermissible the things Allah did not declare impermissible, such as the Bahirah [i.e. a she-camel whose milk was spared for the idols and nobody was allowed to milk it] and the Saa’ibah [i.e. a she-camel let loose for free pasture for their false gods, e.g. idols, etc., and nothing was allowed to be carried on it]. They declared permissible (deeds) which Allah declared impermissible, such as the killing of their children and they instituted a religion Allah did not allow. Allah said:

Or have they partners with Allah (false gods), who have instituted for them a religion which Allah has not allowed]. (5)

Al-Allamah Rabee Bin Haadee Al-Mad’khalee stated about lies and liars:

All these people propagate mighty lies – which cannot be enumerated here – related to matters of legislation and in declaring what is lawful and unlawful, such as what Allah has stated regarding the pagan Arabs, who made judgements about the Bahirah [a she-camel whose milk was spared for the idols and that nobody was allowed to milk it] or a Sa’ibah [a she-camel let loose for free pasture for their false gods and that nothing was allowed to be carried on it], or a Wasilah [a she-camel set free for idols because it has given birth to a she-camel at its first delivery and then again gives birth to a she-camel at its second delivery]. Allah stated in declaring this a lie:

Allah has not instituted things like Bahirah (a she-camel whose milk was spared for the idols and nobody was allowed to milk it) or a Sa’ibah (a she-camel let loose for free pasture for their false gods, e.g. idols, etc., and nothing was allowed to be carried on it), or a Wasilah (a she-camel set free for idols because it has given birth to a she-camel at its first delivery and then again gives birth to a she-camel at its second delivery) or a Ham (a stallion-camel freed from work for their idols, after it had finished a number of copulations assigned for it, all these animals were liberated in honour of idols as practised by pagan Arabs in the pre-Islamic period). But those who disbelieve invent lies against Allah, and most of them have no understanding]. [Surah Al-Maa’idah. 103]

By Allah, they are liars and they are foolish people deprived of sound intellect. Allah said:

So eat of the lawful and good food which Allah has provided for you. And be grateful for the Graces of Allah, if it is He Whom you worship. He has forbidden you only Al-Maytatah (meat of a dead animal), blood, the flesh of swine, and any animal which is slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allah (or has been slaughtered for idols etc. or on which Allah’s Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering). But if one is forced by necessity, without wilful disobedience, and not transgressing, then, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. And say not concerning that which your tongues put forth falsely: “This is lawful and this is forbidden,” so as to invent lies against Allah. Verily, those who invent lies against Allah will never prosper. A passing brief enjoyment (will be theirs), but they will have a painful torment. [An-Nahl. 114-117]

This was an address to the Arabs who instituted things like Bahirah or a Sa’ibah, and due to this Allah declared this affair of theirs a lie, determined the unlawful things in relation to that which they stated, made it known that what they declared unlawful or lawful is tantamount to lies invented against Allah, that the liars will not be successful, their enjoyment through lies and slanders is a brief enjoyment and an eternal punishment awaits them – a painful punishment. (6)

Indeed, the above suffices as rebuke against the one who declares that “Meat is Murder” while intending that meat should be banned or that it is inhumane to slaughter those animals – for food -which Allah has permitted. The enemies of the Prophets are well-known for portraying evil as good and good as evil. Allah [The Exalted] said:

And so We have appointed for every Prophet enemies – Shayaateen (devils) among mankind and jinns, inspiring one another with adorned speech as a delusion (or by way of deception). If your Lord had so willed, they would not have done it, so leave them alone with their fabrications.” [Al-An’aam 112]

Allah [Glorified be He] stated that they aid one another in opposing the command of the Prophets with what some of them inspire others of adorned speech, so that the gullible and feeble minded people are misled by it. He [The Most High] stated the reason behind a perpetrator’s (adorned speech) and the reason why it is accepted by the people; then He [The Most High] mentioned [in Ayah 113 Al-An’aam] the effects it has on those ignorant souls. When those souls incline towards such adorned speech and become pleased with it, they carry out what it calls them to do -in speech and action. Therefore, ponder upon these verses and the sublime meanings they convey, for they clarify the roots of false principles and alert a person against them. And if you ponder upon the statements of the people of falsehood, you will indeed find them clothed with expressions and presented in a good light with sophisticated terms, which are quickly accepted by those deprived of sound discernment-to the extent that the wicked sinners would give [good] names to the greatest types of wicked deeds. Beneficial or Destructive Traces

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Exalted] said:

إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نُحۡىِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَنَڪۡتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُواْ وَءَاثَـٰرَهُمۡۚ وَكُلَّ شَىۡءٍ أَحۡصَيۡنَـٰهُ فِىٓ إِمَامٍ۬ مُّبِينٍ۬

Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. [Q 36:12]

[إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نُحۡىِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ – Verily, We give life to the dead]- Meaning, after their death, we’ll resurrect and recompense them for their deeds (1). [وَنَڪۡتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُواْ – and We record that which they send before (them)] – Meaning, good and evil, the deeds they did during their lifetime. (2)

[وَءَاثَـٰرَهُمۡۚ – and their traces]. Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: What they initiated of good or evil, thus they were followed by others after their death. (3)

Imam Al-Alusi, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: What they left behind of good deeds, such as the knowledge they taught people, books they wrote, land they gave as endowment or a building they built in the path of Allah and other good deeds; or sins, such as establishment of laws that are tantamount to oppression and transgression, or setting up principles amongst the people that are tantamount to evil and corruption, and the evil Funoon [i.e. sciences, professions, crafts etc] they initiated and were revived after them by the corrupt people. (4)

Imam As-Sadi, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

It is the outcomes of good and evil are attributed to the actions taken during an individual’s lifetime and the consequences that follow their passing. These outcomes stem from their statements, actions, and the circumstances surrounding them. Any good deed performed by an individual through their knowledge, teachings, advice, or through enjoining good and forbidding evil, or the knowledge they imparted to learners, or in a book that is benefiited from during their lifetime and after death; or a good deed, such as Salah, Zakat, Sadaqah or acts of kindness that inspired others; or the construction of a mosque or any facility from which the people benefit and what is similar to this. Such actions will be recorded as good outcomes for them, just as negative actions will be recorded as evil outcomes. The Prophet stated, “Whoever initiates a good practice (i.e. something good and other than a Bidah) and others follow suit will receive their own reward, along with a reward equal to that of those who emulate them, without diminishing their own rewards. Conversely, whoever initiates a harmful practice, such as an innovation or sin that contradicts Islam, will bear the weight of their own sin, as well as a burden equal to that of those who follow them, without diminishing their own burdens.” [at-Tirmidhi, no. 2675]

This topic elucidates the elevated position associated with the calling to the path of Allah, guidance towards His way through all available means and avenues. In contrast, it highlights the contemptible status of the one who call for evil and lead others astray, and that he is the the most debased individual, having committed (one of the) the gravest crimes and the greatest sins. King Abdul Aziz – Must advise the entire world

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Saudi King Abdul Aziz, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

What I command this society is that they hold onto the Rope of Allah.

And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allah (i.e. the Qur’an, the Sunnah and all affairs of the religion), and be not divided among yourselves, and remember Allah’s Favour on you, for you were enemies one to another but He joined your hearts together, so that, by His Grace, you became brethren (in Islamic Faith). (Aal Imran 103)

Similarly I command them to give sincere advice to one another; for indeed the religion is (based) on sincere advice. It is an obligation to give sincere advice to the righteous, the wicked sinner, the young, the old, the rich and the poor; and not that it is given to a group and not another group, or a society and not another society. Indeed it is an obligation to give sincere advice to the whole world.

Disease of the despots

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercvy.

Beware of the disease of the despots because pride [I], avarice, and envy were the first (sins through which) Allah was disobeyed. Raising yourself above your teacher is pride, [II] being arrogant towards the one who benefits you from amongst those who are below you is pride, [III] and falling short in acting upon knowledge is a sludge of pride and an indication of being deprived.

Imam Muhammad Bin Salih Al-Uthaymin, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

[I]The Prophet said, “Pride is to reject the truth and mock the people”. This refers to Shaytan’s behaviour when he was commanded to prostrate to Adam, but pride prevented him from doing so. He refused and was haughty.

[II] Raising oneself can either be by way of the tongue and it can also be by way of sentiments (feelings, attitude, etc). He (the student) may be walking with his teacher, while swaggering and saying, “I did this, and I did this”.

[III] Likewise, being arrogant towards the one who is below you in knowledge is pride. This also occurs with some of the students, and if someone below him in knowledge informs him of something, you find him arrogant and does not accept. We ask Allah for well-being because this type of pride is a lack of acting upon the knowledge one knows.

Two Compelling Admonitions – “Outcomes of Truthfulness and Lying” By Al-Allamah Rabee

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Two Compelling Admonitions [By Al-Allamah Rabee Bin Hadi Al-Madf’khali, may Allah preserve him], On The Tremendous and Fruitful Outcomes of Truthfulness and The Detrimental Outcomes of Lying

Outcomes_of_Truthfulness_and_Lying

Reflections on some statements of Al-Allamah Rabee Bin Hadi Al-Madkhali [54 of 80]

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

By Allah, one must strive (to attain) sincerity. Being overtaken by one’s soul, which results in a lack of sincerity to Allah, was the hardest thing that many scholars used to describe with grief. Your soul can overcome and divert you because you desire some fame and praise. One should exert himself, strive, and bear hardship to direct this soul to the truth- towards sincerity to Allah. “Verily, deeds are based on intention and every person will have what he intended.” So, whoever desires worldly gain through his knowledge or acts of worship, just as the one who migrated (from a land of kufr to a land of Islam) only to marry a woman and desires wealth, then he obtains nothing from his migration, except for that which he migrated. The thing desired is known to you, so you miss Allah’s reward”.

Some issues of methodology elucidated for us since 1995

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

A Precise Definition of Hizbiyyah Constantly Fought By The Salafiyyoon In The West – By The Tawfeeq of Allah – Under The Guidance of The Senior Scholars, Such as Al-Allamah Rabee, Al-Allamah Ubaid and Others, During The Various Fitan and Applied to This Day, Including The Fitna of The Qutubiyyah, Sururiyyah, Salman, Safar, Abdur Rahman Abdul Khaliq, Al-Maribi, Al-Maghrawi, Al-Halabi, Al-Hajuri and Others Who Came After Them

Al-Allamah Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Mad’khali, may Allah preserve him, stated:

Bigoted partisanship for a particular idea that opposes the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Messenger; allegiance and enmity based upon it, this is Tahazzub (illegal partisanship). This is Tahazzub even if it is not (under an) organisation. To formulate deviated ideas and gather the people on it, this is a hizb, regardless of whether it is (under an) organisation or not. [1]

A Matter Fully Understood For Nearly Three Decades In The West – By The Tawfeeq of Allah – Under The Guidance of Senior Scholars, Such as Al- Allaamah Rabee, Al-Allamah Ubaid and Others Whenever The Proponents of Illegal Partisanship Sought to Obscure It, Including The Likes of Adnan Ar’ur, Ali Halabi, Al-Maribi and Others Who Came After Them

Al-Madkhalee, may Allah preserve him, stated:

After speaking about those – amongst the different factions of the Jahmiyah, the Khawaarij, the Rawafid and the Qadariyyah, and the reason behind such Takfeer – who excommunicate (Muslims) based on falsehood , Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allah have mercy upon him] stated, “On the opposite side of these people who make Takfeer based on falsehood, there are a people who do not know the creed of Ahlus Sunnah Wal-Jamaa’ah as it should be; or they know some of it and are ignorant of some. And perhaps what they know of it, they do not clarify for the people, rather they conceal it. They do they forbid innovations in religious affairs- neither censure the proponents of innovation in religious affairs nor chastise them; rather they may censure speech regarding the Sunnah and the fundamental principles of the religion – completely – and not differentiate between what the true adherents to the Prophetic tradition say and what proponents of religious innovations and schism say; or they would affirm all their differing paths in a manner similar to how the scholars would affirm the different opinions related to affairs of Ijtihaad in which difference of opinion is justified (or allowed). This path has overwhelmed many of the Murji’ah, some of the jurists, those pursuing the path of asceticism and the philosophers, just as it has overwhelmed – first and foremost – many amongst the people of desires and rhetoric. Both these paths are perverted, outside the Kitaab [i.e. The Qur’aan] and the Prophetic tradition”. [2]

After quoting the statement of Shaikh Al-Islam, Al-Allamah Rabee stated, “I say, may Allaah have mercy on Ibn Tamiyyah. Indeed, he clarified the situation of the people of his era and those before them, then what if he saw the situation of many amongst the Al-Jamaa’aat Al-Hizbiyyah Wal-Bid’iyyah [The Groups of Illegal Partisanship and Innovations in religious affairs] who ascribe themselves to true adherents to the Prophetic tradition and take cover behind him- in particular – to promote their falsehoods. What if he saw them whilst they have definitely gathered between the paths of the two groups- the khawaarij and those who follow their way in pronouncing Takfeer in the subject matter of Al-Haakimiyyah and the way of the Mur’jiah in the manner they approach the affair of people who are upon the major and numerous innovations in religious affairs, and equating innovation in religion to those affairs of the religion in which Ijtihaad is justified, whose people are rewarded alongside a refutation against their mistakes. In the view of these people, the leaders of Misguidance and innovation in religion are just like the Imams of Guidance and Sunnah. [3]

Finally, Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah stated: Rather what is obligatory is to clarify that which Allah sent His Messengers with and (revealed) in His Books – propagate that which the Messengers brought from Allah and fulfill the covenant which Allah took from the scholars. Therefore, it is obligatory to know that which the Messengers brought, believe in it, propagate it, call to it, striving with it, weigh up all that which the people embark upon – (statements, actions, religious fundamentals and subsidiary issues pertaining to the apparent actions of the Limbs and affairs related to actions of the heart)- under the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger; neither following desires (through) customs, a school of law, a religious order, a leader or a predecessor; neither following conjecture through a weak hadith nor corrupt analogy, regardless whether it is an analogy that offers some degree of certainty or not; nor blindly following someone whom it is not obligated to follow his statement and deed, because indeed Allaah -in His Book – censured those who follow conjecture and that which their souls desire, whilst they abandon that which came to them from their Lord of Guidance. [4]

A Path Understood and Followed By The Salafiyyoon – By The Tawfeeq of Allah – in The West For Nearly Three Decades Under The Guidance of The Senior Scholars, Such as Al-Allamah Rabee, Al-Allamah Ubaid and Others, Whenever Individuals Committed Wrong and Wanted Special Treatment or to Escape With Their Wrong doings, Such as Suhaib Hasan, and Others

Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

ﻭﻟﻴﺲ ﻟﻠﻤﻌﻠﻤﻴﻦ ﺃﻥ ﻳﺤﺰﺑﻮﺍ ﺍﻟﻨﺎﺱ
ﻭﻳﻔﻌﻠﻮﺍ ﻣﺎ ﻳﻠﻘﻲ ﺑﻴﻨﻬﻢ ﺍﻟﻌﺪﺍﻭﺓ ﻭﺍﻟﺒﻐﻀﺎﺀ،
ﺑﻞ ﻳﻜﻮﻧﻮﻥ ﻣﺜﻞ ﺍﻷﺧﻮﺓ ﺍﻟﻤﺘﻌﺎﻭﻧﻴﻦ ﻋﻠﻰ
ﺍﻟﺒﺮ ﻭﺍﻟﺘﻘﻮﻱ ﻛﻤﺎ ﻗﺎﻝ ﺗﻌﺈﻟﻰ

It not allowed for the teachers to initiate (illegal) partisanship between the people and do that which would cause enmity and hatred between them; but rather they should be brothers who cooperate upon righteousness and piety, as Allah [The Exalted] said: [وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ – Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwa [virtue, righteousness and piety]; but do not help one another in sin and transgression]. [Al-Ma’idah. 2]

It is not allowed for anyone of them to receive a pledge from anyone to be in agreement with him in everything he wants – having allegiance to the one he is allied to and enmity against the one he harbours enmity, and whoever does this is similar to Genghis Khan and his ilk (in this affair), who take as their loyal friends the one in agreement with them and the one who oppose them as a rebellious enemy; rather it is obligated on them and their followers (i.e. the teachers) to fulfil the covenant of Allah and His Messenger by obeying Allah and His Messenger, doing that which Allah and His Messenger have commanded, declare unlawful that which Allah and His Messenger have declared unlawful, and preserve the rights of the teachers in the manner commanded by Allah and His Messenger. So, if one’s teacher is oppressed, he should help him; but if the teacher is the oppressor, he should not aid him in his act of oppression; rather he forbids him from it, as it has been established in the authentic books of hadeeth that the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said, “Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or he is an oppressed one. People asked, “O Allah’s Messenger! It is all right to help him if he is oppressed, but how should we help him if he is an oppressor?” The Prophet said, “By preventing him from oppressing others.” [Sahih Al-Bukhaari 2444]

If an argument and dispute occurs between a teacher and another teacher, or between a student and another student, it is not permissible for anyone to help one of them until he knows the truth – neither to aid him based on ignorance nor desires; rather he he examines the affair, so if the truth becomes clear to him, he helps the one who deserves to be helped (due to him being upon the truth) against the one upon error – regardless whether the one who deserves to be helped is one of his companions or the companion of someone else, or whether the one upon error is one of his companions or the companion of someone else. Therefore, the aim is only to worship Allah alone, obedience to Allah’s Messenger, adherence to truth and establishment of justice. Allah [The Exalted] says:

يا أيها الذين آمنوا كونوا قوامين بالقسط شهداء لله ولو على أنفسكم أو الوالدين والأقربين، إن يكن غنياً أو فقيراً فالله أولى بهما، فلا تتبعوا الهوى أن تعدلوا وإن تلووا أو تعرضوا فإن الله كان بما تعملون خبيراً

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah; even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allah is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you may avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do. [An-Nisaa. 135] [5] [End of quotes]

May Allah keep us safe and protect us from every evil. May Allah bless the elder brothers at Salafipublications whom Allah – by His great Mercy – enabled to clarify numerous issues of Manhaj in the mid 90s at the website  Salafipublications.com, under the guidance of the senior scholars in the East, such as Al-Allamah Rabee and others. May Allah bless and protect all the students in the East and the West Amin.

Reflections on some statements of Al-Allamah Rabee Bin Hadi Al-Madkhali [50 of 80]

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

It is obligated to a Muslim to uphold justice and to bear witness against himself that he has fallen into falsehood when he falls into falsehood, that he is upon error when he errs, or that he has committed injustice when he commits injustice. He bears witness against himself that he has erred, opposed the truth, and announces that without shame. Otherwise, he may be from those who betray Allah, those distanced from upholding justice for Allah, Lord of the Aalameen. Similarly, if his son, brother, or father is in the wrong, he must clarify their mistakes, for this is religion ordained by Allah, not based on personal whims.

Reflections on some statements of Al-Allamah Rabee Bin Hadi Al-Madkhali [46 of 80]

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Al Allaamah Rabee Bin Hadi Al-Madkhali, may Allah preserve him, said:

Loyalty to and enmity against specific individuals, similar to the manner in which the Rawafid (Shiites) exhibit false loyalty to specific members of the Prophet’s family: Shaikh Al-Islam, may Allah have mercy on him, stated in “Minhaj al-Sunnah” (133/5):

“The Rāfidah have adopted a divisive approach regarding the companions of the Messenger, showing loyalty to some while excessively praising them, and harbouring animosity towards others while being extreme in their animosity”.

Many individuals adopt a similar stance towards their leaders, kings, scholars, and elders, resulting in rejecting one another for others besides the companions. You find a proponent of illegal partisanship showing loyalty to so and so, and to those who love him, while showing enmity to so and so, and to those who love him based on other than truth (or without a justified Shariah reason). This is entirely from that splitting and affiliation that Allah and His Messenger have prohibited, as He, the Exalted, stated:

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا شِيَعًا لَسْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِي شَيْء

Verily, those who divide their religion and break up into sects (all kinds of religious sects), you (O Muhammad) have no concern in them in the least.
(Al-An’am: 159)
