Istiqaamah Explained by Al Imaam Ibn Rajab & Al Imaam Rabee

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Ibn Rajab (Allah have mercy upon him) said regarding the definition of istiqaamah:

“It is treading the straight path, -which is the upright religion – without diverting away from it; not to the right and not to the left. And this (treading the straight path) encompasses the acts of obedience,all of them; the outward and the inward and likewise it encompasses the abandoning of the prohibited matters in their entirety.”

Ash Shaykh Rabee (Allah preserve him) explains:

“The outward and inward”; so all of the affairs of the religion are gathered and nothing at all is left.

Actions of the heart such as Eemaan, Love, Fear, Hope and the outward actions such as actions of the limbs (eg the Salah) and actions of the tongue (eg the Shahaadah).

There is nothing that is left from the religion of Allah. So commanding with istiqaamah is commanding with establishment of the affairs of the religion in entirety; outwardly and inwardly.”

When The Salafis Are United – Al Imaam Rabee ibn Haadi Al Madkhalee

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Al Imaam Ash Shaykh Rabee ibn Haadi Al Madhkalee – May Allah Preserve Him – said:

“Nowadays when they (i.e. opponents of the Salafi Methodology) see the Salafis united and aiding one another upon birr and taqwa; just as Allah commanded, they say, ” look at these (hizbiyoon)illegal partisans!”

This is Tamyee (i.e. a statement aimed at diluting the salafi methodology ) and an empty (speech)

Coming together is either for the sake of falsehood, so it is the party of shaytaan, or it is (done) for the sake of truth, then it is the party of the Most Merciful.”

The Imaam Rabee bin Haadi Al Madkhalee – May Allah preserve him – said:

“Indeed the Salafis are not infallible and free from falling into error. However they are the people of Truth, people of Sunnah and the best of mankind in Aqeedah; Manhaj; Religion; Manners; Dealings (with the people) and Knowledge.”

Al Imaam Ash Shaykh Rabee bin Haadi Al Madkhalee – May Allah preserve him – said:

“Indeed the meaning of
steadfastness
upon the sunnah, is steadfastness upon Islaam in its entirety: its foundations; its branches; the aqeedah and the manhaj. We are steadfast upon it and cling tight to it until we meet Allah – tabaaraka wa ta’aala.”

Saudi King Abdul Azeez said: It Is Obligated on Us to Adhere to Our Religion

Indeed, I advise everyone to return to Allaah (i.e. complete submission, sincerity, obedience to Allaah etc); for Allaah is able to do all things and He is the One in whose Hand is the Dominion of everything. It is obligated on us to adhere to our Religion and to that which is found in the Book of Allaah and the Sharee’ah of our Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam). Saudi King Abdul Azeez Affirms That True Islaam Is Based On The Book, The Sunnah and The Manhaj of The Salaf

King Abdul Azeez (rahimahullaah) said:

The reality of (true) adherence to the religion is to follow that which has been brought forth in the Book of Allaah (i.e. the Qur’aan), the Sunnah of His Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) and that which the Salafus Saaleh (i.e. pious predecessors) were upon. This is what I call to and what is in opposition to this statement (i.e. what others attribute to us) is lies and fabrication against us.

King Abdul Azeez (rahimahullaah) said:

Do you know what destroys the religion and (is the cause of) most of the trials between the Muslims? This has not (happened) except due to differing between the Muslims and their lack of being in agreement (i.e. differing in Aqeedah and Manhaj). King Abdul Azeez (rahimahullaah) said:

They say that I seek to be the khaleefah of the Muslims – I neither claim this nor do I seek after it because it is obligated on the khaleefah to enforce the commands (and prohibitions) of the Religion on every individual Muslim in the eastern and western rejions of the earth; so is there a man amongst the men who is able to enforce that on the Muslims at present!

King Abdul Azeez (rahimahullaah) said: I am a Muslim. I love to unite the Word of Islaam and the Muslims (i.e. unity upon Tawheed, the authentic Sunnah and striving to establish the Sharee’ah). I do not have (anything) more beloved to me than uniting the Muslims. Indeed, I do not delay in dedicating myself and my family in that path.
