[1] History Refuses to Be Rewritten! Has There Been a Period During Which Salafiyyoon of The West Solely Relied On Books and Stopped Travelling to Scholars?!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

All The Salafiyyoon, Especially The Elder Students Know The Importance of Travelling to The Scholars

Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Mad’khali [may Allaah preserve him] said:

It is obligated on us to nurture ourselves, our children, our students and those whom our statements can reach to honour knowledge and fear Allaah based on what is found in the Qur’aan and the Sunnah of Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him]. Therefore, the goal behind knowledge is to obey Allaah [The Blessed and Exalted] and His Messenger – affirm and believe everything Allaah and His Messenger have stated. Nothing reaches us from the Qur’aan or the authentic Sunnah, except that we must believe in it, give it complete respect, veneration and reverence. This is what the noble companions and the pious predecessors used to do, for indeed they gave the highest regard to this knowledge and the scholars. And due to the fact that they gave the highest regard to knowledge, a man would travel -from the eastern regions of the earth to the western regions, and from the northern regions to the southern regions- to hear the hadeeth of the Messenger and seek understanding of the knowledge found in the Qur’aan; rather during the era of the Messenger, a man would travel from the furthest regions of the Arabian peninsula to Allaah’s Messenger to learn his religion, accompany the scholars and the callers to (the religion of) Allaah [The Blessed and Exalted].

The Taabi’een travelled, rather the Sahaabah travelled. Jaabir [may Allaah be pleased with him] travelled from Madeenah to Shaam for the sake of one hadeeth and Abu Ayyoub Al Ansaari [may Allaah be pleased with him] travelled from Madeenah to Misr for the sake of one hadeeth. Likewise, the Imaams of Hadeeth and Tafseer travelled from the eastern regions of the earth to the western regions to learn. Why was this the case? That is because they knew the status of knowledge, its nobility in the Dunyah and the Aakhirah, and that Allaah raises the status of its possessors. (1)

The Shaikh also stated: In which era do we find the scholars hastening to the houses of the people? Rather, the students of knowledge travelled to the scholars and the Sahaabah [May Allaah be pleased with them] were the first. Jaabir Bin Abdillaah heard that a man amongst the companions of the Messenger in Shaam had a Hadeeth, so he bought a camel and rode on it to shaam. It took him a month to get there and a month to return, for the sake of one hadeeth. A man (i.e. a scholar or a student of knowledge) explains Saheeh Al-Bukhaari, Saheeh Muslim, Sunan Abu Daawud, Sunan At-Tirmidhee, Sunan An-Nasaa’ee or a book of Fiqh or something from it, but you say, “No, he must accompany me and he must come with me!” Who gave you this authority in the Sight of Allaah [i.e. that you make such a demand]? O My brothers! It is obligated on us to recognise the status of knowledge. (2)

The Shaikh also said: O my brothers! Let us behave in a good manner, especially the students of knowledge. O my brothers! At present the connection between a student and his teacher is limited to the classroom. He listens to the lesson and after it finishes he leaves in a hurry. It is as if he does not know anything about the teacher- neither in a house nor in any other place. And they say, “The scholars run away from the students!!” It is obligated on the students to behave well towards the scholars and to come to their houses. Do they want the scholars to run behind the students?! The Salaf did not know this behaviour. (After) being deprived of good manners, we expect the scholars to be our followers. Many people want the scholars to be their followers – giving directions to the scholars like they would give directions to a senile old person. A particular scholar can meet thousands of people and benefit them, but as for going to the house of every person and knocking at his door, this is neither legislated by Allaah nor is it obligated on the scholars. (3) [End of quote]

Indeed, the above is well-known to the Salafiyyoon of the West, especially our elder teachers. This is why Shaikh Abu Talhah, Shaikh Abu Khadeejah, Shaikh Abdul Ilaah, Shaikh Abu Hakeem, Shaikh Owais at-Taweel, Shaikh Abu Iyaad, Shaikh Abu Idrees, Shaikh Abu Omar Faarooq (may have mercy upon him), Shaikh Abu Fudayl, Ustaadh Bilaal Husain, Ustaadh Yusuf Bowers, Ustaadh Abu Haaroon, Ustaadh Abu Tasneem and others travelled to sit with the scholars- some travelled to Dammaaj during the lifetime of Al-Allaamah Muqbil Bin Haadi [may Allaah have mercy upon him], some travelled to Saudi once or twice a year to sit with the likes of Al-Allaamah Rabee, Al-Allaamah Ubaid Bin Abdillaah Al-Jaabiri and some, such as the likes of Shaikh Abdul Ilaah and Shaikh Abu Hakeem, stayed in Saudi for 10 years or more whilst regularly attending the lessons of the scholars. They were not only attendants, but rather they are well-known to the scholars.

There has not been a time period – from when elder brothers were introduced to Salafiyyah, except that a group of brothers did travel to sit with the scholars, learn from them, seek their advice on Dawah affairs as well as invite their upright students to the UK, such as the likes of Shaikh Abdus Salaam Burgess [may Allaah have mercy upon him]. This is a well known affair, therefore, the newcomer should be informed that this affair has always been emphasised and acted upon by the Salafiyyoon. The Salafiyyoon, especially the elder brothers, have never stopped visiting the scholars and learning from them, rather the only reason these travels ceased for some time was due to the lockdowns. There is not a single one amongst the elder brothers who clings to books and abandons sitting with scholars, rather prior to the lockdowns they visited the scholars whilst carrying on with the lessons in the Maraakiz.

As for the path of seeking knowledge, read here: https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2022/07/20/valuable-experiences-some-scholars-and-students-speaking-about-the-path-to-acquiring-knowledge-and-solidifying-ones-salafiyyah-from-day-one/

As for those of us who have not travelled to sit with the scholars, then indeed, and all praise and thanks be to Allaah, we continue to sit in the study circles of the elder students and the humble younger teachers. Likewise, our youth are advised to seek knowledge and worldly provision, so that they become self-sufficient. Read: https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2022/06/10/seek-knowledge-a-worldly-profession-and-provision-an-affair-our-youth-must-be-reminded/

Finally, with regards to the credentials of the elder teachers, then indeed either a fame seeker or an envious person would seek to belittle or warn against their efforts. This affair has already been clarified by Shaikh Abu Idrees [may Allaah preserve him]: Warning Against those who belittle elder Students of Knowledge who are not Graduates: https://soundcloud.com/learnaboutislam/warning-against-those-who-belittle-elder-students-of-knowledge-who-are-not-graduates-abu-idrees

Therefore, it it incumbent upon us to make this known and bear witness to the truth. And we ask Allaah to include us amongst those who fulfil the command in the following Aayah:

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah; even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allah is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you may avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do. [Surah An-Nisaa. Ayah 135]

Advice Number 5 – (One of The Ways to Benefit From Lessons) and Advice Number 6 – (Mercy Between Learners): By Al-Allaamah Saaleh Aala Ash-Shaikh

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Al-Allaamah Saaleh Aala Ash-Shaikh [may Allaah preserve him] gave some advice regarding the manner in which a person can benefit from lessons.

The fifth advice was about writing down lessons – that one writes the Fawaa’id from the teacher and the student should not rely on what was recorded in the previous lessons. The student must not say, “There is no need to write, and the recording is available”. This is a big mistake that some students make. The student’s writing with the Shaikh has an effect on his preparedness in affairs of knowledge and in his behavior as it should be, because there has to be hardship, toil and struggle in attaining knowledge. Writing develops one’s ability to summarize knowledge, because one cannot write word for word what the teacher says, and for this reason, a distinction must be made between what the student transmits based on what was dictated to him and what he heard. So what is meant by writing? What is meant is that the student is trained on the ability to summarize, so he listens and then summarizes. At first it is noticed that the Shaikh speeds up and the student is unable to write. The second time, the student can write, but he misses things. Then there comes a time for him to write comprehensively and he can abbreviate the most wonderful examples, and this can only happen through practice.

Sixth Advice: Mercy between students: There may be different people in attendance: Some of them attend for knowledge, some of them attend as beginners, among them are those who attend to be in a sitting where Allaah is remembered and they listen (especially if it is after dawn or during time periods when supplications are answered), and among them are those who attend for a benefit, and are content with whatever they obtain. And that which is befitting in reality is that the students of knowledge should treat each other well, so the student teaches his brother – who is a beginner – the way to learn and gives him advice. This is why we should show mercy to one another in the lessons, and in all affairs of knowledge, and perhaps the reason scholars begin their texts with the advice to the seeker of knowledge to be merciful. This is why you find in Hadeeth Ijaazaat that the first hadith transmitted is “The merciful will be shown mercy by the Most Merciful. Be merciful to those on the earth and the One in the heavens will have mercy upon you”. [Saheeh Sunan Tirmidhee 1924]

Question: Why do they learn the hadith, “The merciful will be shown mercy by the Most Merciful?”

Answer: Know, may Allaah have mercy upon you, that it is one of the qualities of a seeker of knowledge – whom Allaah blesses and shows mercy – that he is merciful towards those around him, guides, teaches and aids them etc. If whilst in pursuit of knowledge you are merciful to the people – to colleagues and friends, and being present in cooperation and goodness, then receive glad tidings of Allaah’s Mercy and His true promise based on the statement of His Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him], “The merciful will be shown mercy by the Most Merciful”.
سؤال: لماذا يتعلمون حديث {الراحمون يرحمهم الرحمن…}
فإذا كنت في طلبك للعلم رحيمًا بالخَلْقِ وبزملائك وبأصدقائك وبالحضور في التعاون والخير فأبشرْ برحمةِ اللهِ – جلَّ وعلا – لك بوعده الصادق بقولِ نبيه – عليه الصلاة والسلام -: {الراحمونَ يرحمهم الرحمنُ..}

Exposing Sinful and Rotten Liars Who Seek to Substitute or Nullify The Sharee’ah Terminologies!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Unpraiseworthy Description Given By Allaah and His Messenger to Someone Does Not Necessitate That He’ll Be Oppressed – [Brief Rebuttal Against Fools Who Ascribe to Islam, But Seek to Substitute Sharee’ah Terms]

Indeed, Allaah created [Jinn and humankind] and gave them an innate disposition to recognise Tawheed, obey Him and worship Him alone; but they differed – some of them believed and others disbelieved. Allaah said:

He it is Who created you, then some of you are disbelievers and some of you are believers].

Allaah wishes belief and well-being for them, but shaytaan and the callers to evil wish disbelief and evil for them. Allaah [The Exalted] said:

Allaah wishes to make clear (what is lawful and what is unlawful) to you, and to show you the ways of those before you, and accept your repentance, and Allaah is All-Knower, All-Wise. Allaah wishes to accept your repentance, but those who follow their lusts, wish that you (believers) should deviate tremendously away from the Right Path.
And due to this, Allaah sent the Messengers, revealed the Books and established His Proofs, therefore, there are those amongst humankind who accept the truth and embrace faith by choice, and there are those who reject the truth and embrace disbelief by choice. Indeed, Allaah has laid down the differences between the believers and unbelievers in this life and the next, and He forbade that the two groups are made equal. Allaah [Glorified be He and free is He from all imperfections] has set out recompense and judgment for each of the two groups in this life and the next. He has given a distinguished name to every group, such as [Mumin – believer], [Kaafir- disbeliver], [Barrun- upright/righteous one], [Faajir – evildoer], [Mushrik- Polytheist], [Muwahhid- Monotheist], [Faasiq- sinner], [Munaafiq- hypocrite], [Mutee’un – an obedient one] and [Aasee- a disobedient one]. And He [Glorified be He and free is He from all imperfections] forbade that equality is made between these differing names and attitudes. Allaah said: [أَمۡ حَسِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱجۡتَرَحُواْ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ أَن نَّجۡعَلَهُمۡ كَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ – Or do those who earn evil deeds think that We shall hold them equal with those who believe (in the Oneness of Allaah Islaamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds].

And Allaah said: [ أَمۡ نَجۡعَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ كَٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ فِى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَمۡ نَجۡعَلُ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ كَٱلۡفُجَّارِ – Shall We treat those who believe (in the Oneness of Allaah Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, as Mufsidoon (those who associate partners in worship with Allaah and commit crimes) on earth? Or shall We treat the Muttaqoon (the pious ones), as the Fujjaar (criminals, disbelievers, wicked, etc)- Meaning, we have not made them equal because that does not befit Allaah’s Justice.

Should we abandon the words (Kufr, Shirk, Kuffaar and Mushrikeen) found in the Qur’aan, the Sunnah and the Books of Islamic creed? This will be a violation of the Book and the Sunnah, and an opposition to Allaah and His Messenger. By changing the real meanings of the Sharee’ah terms, we will be from those who distort the Book of their Lord and the Sunnah of their Messenger. Then what defence can be given for (such a crime)? Is it to please the unbelievers?! The unbelievers will never be pleased with us until we abandon our religion. Allaah [The Exalted] said: [وَلَن تَرۡضَىٰ عَنكَ ٱلۡيَہُودُ وَلَا ٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَہُمۡ‌ۗ – Never will the Yahood nor the Nasaaraa be pleased with you [O Muhammad Peace be upon him] till you follow their religion].

Allaah said: [ وَدُّواْ لَوۡ تَكۡفُرُونَ كَمَا كَفَرُواْ فَتَكُونُونَ سَوَآءً۬‌ۖ – They wish that you reject Faith, as they have rejected (Faith), and thus that you all become equal (like one another)].

And if the intention of those who call for the substitution of the sharee’ah terminologies is to show gentleness to the unbelievers and to have good dealings with them, then this cannot be (done) by changing such sharee’ah terminologies; rather it can only be (done) through what Allaah has legislated regarding their affair. This comprises of the following affairs:

1.To invite them to Islaam – the religion Allaah has ordained for all of humakind. Allaah said:

[ٱدۡعُ إِلَىٰ سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِٱلۡحِكۡمَةِ وَٱلۡمَوۡعِظَةِ ٱلۡحَسَنَةِ‌ۖ وَجَـٰدِلۡهُم بِٱلَّتِى هِىَ أَحۡسَنُ‌ۚ – Invite (mankind, O Muhammad) to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islaam) with wisdom (i.e. with the Divine Inspiration and the Qur’aan) and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better]. Therefore, we invite them (to Islam) for their rectification and happiness in this life and the next.

2.To make peace with them if they seek that. Allaah said:

[وَإِن جَنَحُواْ لِلسَّلۡمِ فَٱجۡنَحۡ لَهَا وَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ إِنَّهُ ۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ – But if they incline to peace, you also incline to it, and (put your) trust in Allaah. Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower].

Likewise, to make peace with them if the Muslims are in need of making peace, and when there is an overriding benefit for the Muslims in making peace, just as the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] made peace with the unbelievers at Hudaibiyyah. And by virtue of peace, diplomacy is (established) between them and the Muslims.

3.Not to be hostile towards them without due right. Allaah said:

[وَلَا يَجۡرِمَنَّڪُمۡ شَنَـَٔانُ قَوۡمٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَلَّا تَعۡدِلُواْ‌ۚ ٱعۡدِلُواْ هُوَ أَقۡرَبُ لِلتَّقۡوَىٰ‌ۖ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ‌ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَبِيرُۢ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ – And let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety, and fear Allaah].

4.To behave well towards those of them who behave well towards the Muslims- those who neither kill nor drive Muslims out of their homes. Allaah said:

[لَّا يَنۡهَٮٰكُمُ ٱللَّهُ عَنِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمۡ يُقَـٰتِلُوكُمۡ فِى ٱلدِّينِ وَلَمۡ يُخۡرِجُوكُم مِّن دِيَـٰرِكُمۡ أَن تَبَرُّوهُمۡ وَتُقۡسِطُوٓاْ إِلَيۡہِمۡ‌ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُقۡسِطِينَ – Allaah does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion and did not drive you out of your homes. Verily, Allaah loves those who deal with equity].

5: To have permissible beneficial dealings with them; in trade, exchange of beneficial information and utilization of the worldly sciences, and things that are of benefit in our lives.

6: To fulfil contacts made with them, and to honour the blood, wealth and rights of the Mu-aahideen (i.e. those none-muslims who have a treaty with the Muslims) because it is binding upon them to (fulfil their covenants with the Muslims) and the Muslims are to (fulfil their covenants with them). Allaah said: [فَمَا ٱسۡتَقَـٰمُواْ لَكُمۡ فَٱسۡتَقِيمُواْ لَهُمۡ‌ۚ – So long, as they are true to you, stand you true to them].

And the ones forbidden to be killed are the Muslim and the Mu’aahid [i.e. the non-Muslim who has a treaty with the Muslims]. And indeed the Prophet said about the killing of a Mu’aahid, “Whoever kills a Mu’aahid will not even smell the fragrance of paradise and its fragrance can be smelled from the distance of forty years away”. [Bukhaari: No: 3166]

And whoever kills a Mu’aahid by mistake, it is as if he has killed a Muslim by mistake. He must pay blood money as expiation. Allaah said: [وَإِن ڪَانَ مِن قَوۡمِۭ بَيۡنَڪُمۡ وَبَيۡنَهُم مِّيثَـٰقٌ۬ فَدِيَةٌ۬ مُّسَلَّمَةٌ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِۦ وَتَحۡرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ۬ مُّؤۡمِنَةٍ۬‌ۖ – And if he belonged to a people with whom you have a treaty of mutual alliance, compensation (blood money – Diya) must be paid to his family, and a believing slave must be freed].

And finally, I advise these ones [those who called for a change of the sharee’ah terminologies] to repent to Allaah. They should not enter into an affair which they have neither mastered nor is it [something] they have specialized in, because that would be tantamount to speaking about Allaah without knowledge. Indeed, Allaah stated: [وَلَا تَقۡفُ مَا لَيۡسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلۡمٌ‌ۚ – And follow not (O man i.e., say not, or do not or witness not) that of which you have no knowledge.

Allaah said:

Say (O Muhammad): (But) the things that my Lord has indeed forbidden are Al-Fawaahish (great evil sins, every kind of unlawful sexual intercourse) whether committed openly or secretly, sins (of all kinds), unrighteous oppression, joining partners (in worship) with Allaahfor which He has given no authority, and saying things about Allaah of which you have no knowledge].

Allah placed speaking about Him without knowledge at a level above shirk due to its seriousness. And if it the case that these ones are aware of the subject matter regarding specialist knowledge and that a person cannot enter into that which is not his domain, just as one does not enter into the affair of medicine because it is not his domain, then why do they enter into the affairs of the sharee’ah, rather they enter into the most serious affairs of the sharee’ah, and that is the subject matter of Aqeedah, even though it is something they are not specialised in. I do not desire anything from this [speech] except to give advice and clarification. [Source: An Excerpt from Al-Bayaan Li-Akhtaa’i Ba’dil Kuttaab. 2/177-180]

One of the general fundamental principles (in Islaam) is to know that words are two types- words that are mentioned in the Qur’aan and (authentic) Sunnah, therefore it is obligated on every believer to affirm them, affirm what Allaah and His Messenger have affirmed, and negate what Allaah and His Messenger have negated. The words affirmed by Allaah is truth and the ones Allaah negated are (negated) in truth, because indeed Allaah speaks the truth and guides to the straight path. The words of the divine Islamic legislation are sanctified and it is part of perfection in knowledge that one seeks after the (sound meanings) which the Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] intended by them, in order to affirm what he affirmed and negate the meanings he negated, because indeed it is obligated on us to believe and bear witness to everything he has stated and follow him in everything he has commanded. As for the words that are neither found in the Qur’am and (authentic) Sunnah nor did the Salaf (pious predecessors) hold a consensus regarding whether they are negated or affirmed, then it is not incumbent on anyone to agree with the one who negates or affirms them until its intended meaning is explained. So, if its intended meaning agrees with the (creed, revelation, commands, prohibitions etc) conveyed by the Messenger, it is affirmed; but if its intended meaning is in opposition, it is rejected. The Prophet of Islam would not kill diplomats, ambassadors, emissaries or foreign delegations even if they were sent by the worst of his enemies

Specifying Specific Individuals As Reference Points! [Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi Responded Many Years Ago When It Manifested]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Question: Is it permissible for us to make a specific Salafi Shaykh from those who know our problems as a reference point for ourselves in order to solve our disputes of methodology in our centre [i.e. in the running and organisation of affairs] specifically, such that no deception can occur in the questions (put to him)?

Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee responded: Splitting and partisanship (tahazzub) is contained in this. And we have seen some people showing partisanship to the people of Shaam, and other people showing partisanship to the people of Riyaadh and others showing partisanship to the people of Yemen. So all of this is splitting and partisanship. However, make all of the Mashaayikh, together to be in front of you. For they are your brothers, your fathers, your beloved ones, and your true friends. And because this distinction and this separation (i.e. of specifying specific people) was not known, except [now] in these days. And some attempts have begun now to specify so and so and so and so to solve the problems, and we have rejected this, since these manifestations of haughtiness have come to us from America, with every group wanting to specify a specific Shaykh for itself. This is partisanship. So consider yourselves in the whole world as a single Jamaa’ah, and consider the Shaykhs in the world as a whole, as one brotherhood, and leave aside this nationalism, and these things that separate and split. This is because the Mashaayikh, amongst them are those who are lenient (mutasaahil), and those who are upright and balanced, and those who are severe, this is how it is. So if you were to be eager for the one who is severe, he will deprive you, and if you were to be eager for the one who is lenient, he will deprive you. Hence, count all the Mashaayikh, may Allaah bless you, so that you benefit from this one and from that one, may Allaah bless you. And prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad. Ghausia’s – [Soofee Masjid – Stoke On Trent] – Return to Celebration of The Bidah of Mawlid! [Will Markaz Tawheed Aid Them to Raise Funds Again or Sincerely Strive to Refrain From All Deeds That Are Tantamount to Aiding Ahlul Bidah?!]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Imaam Al-Barbahaaree [may Allaah have mercy upon him] stated, “From the Sunnah is that you do not help anyone in disobedience to Allah, whether they be parents or any of the creation. There is no obedience to a human in disobedience to Allah and no one is to be loved for that; rather all of that is to be hated for [the sake of Allah], the Blessed and Most High”.

Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [may Alaah preserve him] stated: This is a fundamental principle from the fundamental principles of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaa’ah that has been derived from the statement of the [Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam)] that, “There is no obedience to the creation in disobedience to the Creator”. And he [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] said, “Obedience is only in that which is good”. Therefore, whoever commands disobedience to Allah is not to be obeyed. He is not to be obeyed in disobedience, whether your father, mother, or from the closest of the people to you, a ruler or a King. He is not to be followed in disobedience. Allaah [The Exalted] stated about the Jews and Christians when they followed [their Rabis and Monks] in disobedience:

[ٱتَّخَذُوٓاْ أَحۡبَارَهُمۡ وَرُهۡبَـٰنَهُمۡ أَرۡبَابً۬ا مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ – They (Jews and Christians) took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allaah (by obeying them in things which they made lawful or unlawful according to their own desires without being ordered by Allaah)]. [Surah At-tawbah, Aayah 31]

And regarding the statement of Imaam Barbahaaree, “Whether they be parents or any of the creation”, Allaah [The Exalted] said about parents:

And We have enjoined on man (to be dutiful and good) to his parents. His mother bore him in weakness and hardship upon weakness and hardship, and his weaning is in two years give thanks to Me and to your parents, unto Me is the final destination. But if they (both) strive with you to make you join in worship with Me others that of which you have no knowledge, then obey them not, but behave with them in the world kindly, and follow the path of him who turns to Me in repentance.

Allah [The Exalted] said:

[وَوَصَّيۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ بِوَٲلِدَيۡهِ حُسۡنً۬ا‌ۖ وَإِن جَـٰهَدَاكَ لِتُشۡرِكَ بِى مَا لَيۡسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلۡمٌ۬ فَلَا تُطِعۡهُمَآ‌ۚ إِلَىَّ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ فَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ – And We have enjoined on man to be good and dutiful to his parents, but if they strive to make you join with Me (in worship) anything (as a partner) of which you have no knowledge, then obey them not. Unto Me is your return, and I shall tell you what you used to do]. [Surah Al-Ankabut. Aayah 8]

There is no obedience to the creation in disobedience to the Creator, regardless who that may be, even if he is the closest of the people to you, such as the two parents; then what about other than them! [An Excerpt from It-haaful Qaaree Bitta’liqaat Alaa Sharhis Sunnah Lil Imaam Barbahaaree. 2/297-299]

The above is the first reminder to ourselves and Markaz Tawheed that none is to be aided in disobedience to Allaah, especially with regards to affairs of the infallible Aqeedah and Manhaj ordained by Allaah [The Exalted]. We clarified the fact that co-operating with the Soofees to raise funds for their project is clearly a violation of this fundamental principles. See here: https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2022/09/02/6-the-affair-of-markaz-tawheed-o-truthful-adherents-to-salafiyyah-in-stoke-on-trent-neither-participate-nor-spend-a-penny-in-an-event-that-will-aid-staunch-soofees-to-strengthen-their-bidah-and-m/

Firstly, instead of quickly recanting this mistake, some individuals at Markaz Tawheed desperately fished in the murky waters and attempted to falsely claim that a brother at Masjid Abi Hurairah/Masjid Al-Furqan is guilty of wrongdoing in his business dealings. See here: https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2022/09/13/spiteful-slanderers-amongst-blazing-hizbiyyoon-at-markaz-tawheed-emerge-to-make-false-accusations-against-a-salafi-brothers-business-dealings/

Secondly, prior to the above incidents, some individuals at Markaz Tawheed attempted to dupe the unsuspecting people by claiming that co-operation with ahlul bidah is permissible if it is bring about a religious benefit, and they also sought to back this falsehood by claiming that there are upright scholars who sit with ahlul bidah. We responded to this falsehood in this link: https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2022/09/11/10-4-the-affair-of-markaz-tawheed-close-scrutiny-of-their-inclination-towards-using-scholars-seen-in-the-presence-of-ahlul-bidah-as-an-alibi-to-co-operate-with-ahlul-bidah/

Thirdly, the same organisation or Masjid (Ghausia Masjid, Cobridge) that was recently aided by Markaz Tawheed through a funfair – together with Ikhwaanees, Hizb Tahreer and other people of bidah – to raise funds have once again openly demonstrated what they are upon. See here:

Bidah Hasanah: http://www.bidah.com/articles/ezaqa-the-notion-of-bidah-hasan-good-innovation-destroyed-part-1.cfm

Therefore, what excuse can Markaz Tawheed offer at present after it has become absolutely clear that co-operating with ahlul bidah is forbidden as well as the fact that the people (Ghausia Masjid- Soofees) they’ve aided through that funfair have once again opely procliamed what they are upon! Therefore, beisides the fact that it is incumbent upon them to refrain from co-operating with ahlul bidah in future, they are also required to distance themselves from everyone who co-operates with ahlul bidah, such as the likes of Greenlane. See here: https://abukhadeejah.com/are-the-issues-between-green-lane-mosque-glm-and-salafi-publications-personal/

Finally, we remind Markaz Tawheed as follows: “All of you hold onto the Rope of Allaah [i.e. The Qur’aan and authentic Sunnah]- Allaah will aid you in this and make you like the sun; return to the understanding of the righteous predecessors, and it is, as I said to you, transmitted (and established) in your presence. This is a challenge to those who oppose this. We are challenging ahlul bidah wal ahwaa [the proponents of innovation in religious affairs and followers of desires] in their creed and politics. We say, between us and you is the (path, understanding of the) pious predecessors and books (of the pious predecessors). Ahmad [i.e. Imaam Ahmad] used to say to the proponents of innovation in religious affairs, “Between us and you are the funerals (i.e. whose funeral will be attended by ahlus sunnah in great numbers)”. We say (i.e. at present), “Between us and you are the books (of the pious predecessors)- the books are present!

Allaah said to His Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him]: [قل فَأْتُوا بِالتَّوْرَاةِ فَاتْلُوهَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ – All food was lawful to the Children of Israel, except what Israel made unlawful for himself before the Taurat (Torah) was revealed. Say (O Muhammad ): “Bring here the Taurat (Torah) and recite it, if you are truthful”]- So they bring the Torah and you proof them to be upon falsehood. We bring the books of the pious predecessors – the Qur’an, the Sunnah, the books of Al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawood, at-Tirmidhi, an-Nasaa’ee, and what was authored by Ahmad and others; we bring them (to prove) those who are on the path of these (pious predecessors) and those who turn away and oppose them. Just as Allaah challenged the Jews to bring the Torah, so the Torah was brought and they were exposed them, (likewise), we challenge these people to bring the books of the pious predecessors, so that the innovator in religious affairs is exposed, and to clarify who the deviants are- whether us or them? Are they able to challenge? Can they open their mouths like this? We fill our mouths with courage – challenge everyone who says that we are upon other than methodology of the pious predecessors. We, by Allaah, call to the methodology of the pious predecessors- to the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him]. We use the book of Allaah and the Sunnah as proof for our beliefs, our acts of worship, dealings with rulers and their subjects, in dealing with the groups and sects. As for the others, they are upon tricks, deception etc By Allaah, you will not find with them anything but tricks and manipulating the emotions of youth”. [Paraphrased. We ask Allaah to grant us Thabaat, protect us from bidah, hizbiyyah, obstinacy, misconceptions and sinful compromise. We ask Allaah to grant Markaz Tawheed and their ilk the Tawfeeq to abandon ahlul bidah completely, including Ihyaa Turaath and the blazing hizbiyyoon of Greenlane Aameen.

One of The Many Calamities of The Deceased Ikhwaani Innovator In Religious Affairs- Yusuf Al-Qaradaawee!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

https://video.link/w/7p35d

The Ikhwaani (see footnote a) Innovator in religious affairs, Yusuf Al-Qaradawi – (see footnote b) – stated, “Brothers, before I leave this place of mine, I would like to make a statement about the results of the Israeli elections. (see footnote c)

The Arabs were pinning all their hopes on Peres’s success. This is what we praise regarding Israel, we hope that our country will be like this country. Due to a group of few people one is removed (i.e. from office). It is the people who rule, there are no four nines or five nines that we know in our country- 99% out of a hundred. If Allaah had presented Himself to people, He would not have taken this percentage. What is this lying, cheating and deception, we salute Israel for what it has done”.

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [may Allaah have mercy upon him] commented on this statement of Yusuf Al-Qaradaawi as follows: I say this statement about elections in one of the countries and it was mentioned that a man got ninety-nine of the seats; then he (i.e. the utterer of this statement) said that “If Allaah had presented Himself to people, He would not have taken this percentage”. I seek refuge with Allaah. It is obligatory that he repents- repent from this, otherwise he is an apostate, because he declared the creation greater than the Creator, therefore, it is obligated on him to repent to Allaah – Allaah accepts repentance from His servants; otherwise it is obligated on the Muslim ruler to strike his neck (i.e. execute him for apostasy by the Muslim ruler). The Sharee’ah Ruling On Condolences, Specified Days of Mourning etc

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah [The Exalted] said: [إِنَّكَ لَا تَہۡدِى مَنۡ أَحۡبَبۡتَ وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَہۡدِى مَن يَشَآءُ‌ۚ وَهُوَ أَعۡلَمُ بِٱلۡمُهۡتَدِينَ – Indeed, (O Muhammad), you do not guide whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He knows best those who are the guided]. [Surah Al-Qasas. Aayah 56]

Narrated Al-Musaiyab: When Abu Talib was on his death bed, Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] came to him and found with him, Abu Jahl and Abdullah bin Abi Umaiya bin Al-Mughira. Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “O uncle! Say: None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, a sentence with which I will intervene on your behalf in the presence of Allaah (i.e. on yawmul qiyaamah).” So, Abu Jahl and Abdullah bin Abi Umaiya said to Abu Talib, “Will you now turn away from religion of `Abdul Muttalib?” Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) kept on inviting him to say that sentence while the other two kept on repeating their sentence before him till Abu Talib said – as the last thing he said to them- “I am on the religion of Abdul Muttalib,” and refused to say: None has the right to be worshipped except Allah. So, Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “By Allah, I will keep on asking Allah’s forgiveness for you unless I am forbidden (by Allah) to do so.” So Allah revealed: [مَا كَانَ لِلنَّبِىِّ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَن يَسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ لِلۡمُشۡرِڪِينَ وَلَوۡ ڪَانُوٓاْ أُوْلِى قُرۡبَىٰ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمۡ أَنَّہُمۡ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ – It is not befitting for the Prophet (ﷺ) and those who believe that they should invoke (Allah) for forgiveness for pagans, even though they be of kin, after it has become clear to them that they are the dwellers of the Fire (because they died in a state of disbelief)]. [Surah at-Tawbah. Aayaah 113]
And then Allah revealed especially about Abu Talib: [إِنَّكَ لَا تَہۡدِى مَنۡ أَحۡبَبۡتَ وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَہۡدِى مَن يَشَآءُ‌ۚ – Verily! You (O, Muhammad) guide not whom you like, but Allah guides whom He will]. [Saheeh Al-Bukhaari. Number 4772]

Imaam As-Sadi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] commented on the Aayah:

[مَا كَانَ لِلنَّبِىِّ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَن يَسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ لِلۡمُشۡرِڪِينَ وَلَوۡ ڪَانُوٓاْ أُوْلِى قُرۡبَىٰ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمۡ أَنَّہُمۡ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ – It is not befitting for the Prophet (ﷺ) and those who believe that they should invoke (Allah) for forgiveness for pagans, even though they be of kin, after it has become clear to them that they are the dwellers of the Fire (because they died in a state of disbelief)] – Meaning, it is neither befitting nor something good for the Prophet and those who believe in him “to seek forgiveness for the polytheists”, meaning, for those who disbelieve in Allah and worship others besides Him, “even though they be of kin, after it has become clear to them that they are dwellers of the Fire (because they died in a state of disbelief)”, because indeed seeking forgiveness for them in such a situation is an error and carries no benefit. Therefore, it is not befitting for the Prophet and the believers to do this, because they (i.e. their relatives and others) died whilst ascribing partners to Allah in worship, or if known that they died in such a state, they are deserving of punishment and it is inevitable that they are to abide in hell forever- neither the intercession of those whom (Allaah has allowed to) intercede nor those who seek forgiveness for them will benefit. Furthermore, it is obligated on the Prophet and those who believe with him to agree with their Lord in what pleases Him and what angers Him. (1)

Anas [may Allaah be pleased with him] said, “A young Jewish boy used to serve the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] and he became sick; so the Prophet went to visit him. He sat near his head and asked him to accept Islam. The boy looked at his father, who was sitting there; the latter told him, “Obey Abul-Qasim” and the boy submitted to Allaah in Islam. The Prophet came out saying, “All praise is due to Allaah Who saved the boy from the Hell-fire.” (2)

Al-Allaamah Zayd Bin Haadi Al-Mad’khali [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “There is proof in this hadeeth about visiting the sick even if he is an unbeliever. And if visiting him is accompanied with inviting him to accept Islam, then this is radiance upon radiance, as the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] visited the boy who used to serve him and invited him to Islam, so Allaah wanted good for him in the Afterlife and saved him from the hell fire by his submission to Allaah in Islam. In this is proof that one cannot be saved from the fire except through entry into Islam. (3)

Burying a Deceased non-Muslim

Ali [may Allaah be pleased with him] reported: I said to the Prophet (ﷺ): “Your old and astray uncle has died”. He said, “Go and bury your father”, I said, “I will not bury him, indeed he died as a polytheist”. He said, “Go and bury him and then do not do anything until you come to me”. So I went, buried him and came to him. He ordered me (to take a bath), so I took a bath, and he supplicated for me with supplications that were more pleasing to me than everything on the earth”.

Some benefits – from this hadeeth – mentioned by Imaam Al-Albaanee [may Allaah have mercy upon him]: It is legislated (in Islam) for a Muslim to undertake the burial of his polytheist relative, and that does not contradict the hatred he has for him due to his state of Shirk (i.e. because his relative ascribes partners to Allaah in worship). Do you not see that Ali [may Allaah be pleased with him] initially refrained from burying his father based on his statement, “Indeed, he died as one who ascribes partners to Allaah in worship”, whilst thinking that undertaking his burial in such a situation is included in the forbidden types of loyalty mentioned in Allaah’s statement:

[لَا تَتَوَلَّوْا قَوْمًا غَضِبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ – Take not as allies the people who incurred the Wrath of Allah].

So, when the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] repeated the command to him, he hastened to comply with it, and left what he held at first. So, obedience is that a person abandons his opinion due to a command of his Prophet [peace and blessings be upon him]. It appears to me that a child burying his polytheist father or mother (after they’ve passed away) is the last thing that a child has to do in terms of good companionship with a polytheist father (or mother) in this worldly life. As for after the burial, he does not have the right to supplicate or seek forgiveness for him due to the clear statement of Allaah [The Exalted]:

[مَا كَانَ لِلنَّبِىِّ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَن يَسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ لِلۡمُشۡرِڪِينَ وَلَوۡ ڪَانُوٓاْ أُوْلِى قُرۡبَىٰ – – It is not befitting for the Prophet (ﷺ) and those who believe that they should invoke (Allah) for forgiveness for pagans, even though they be of kin…]

And when it is the case this is the affair, then what is the situation of those who invoke for mercy and forgiveness – in newspapers and magazines – for some of the unbelievers in the death announcements for a few dirhams! Therefore, let him who fears Allaah take care of his Hereafter. (4)

Shaikh Abdul Waahid Abu Khadeejah [may Allaah preserve him] quotes Imaam Al-Albaanee [may Allaah have mercy upon him] who also stated: “I say: from this you come to know the error of some of the Muslims today who invoke the mercy of Allah and His pleasure upon some of the non-Muslims. And this is something being done plentifully by some [Muslim] journalists. Indeed I have heard that one of the heads of the Arabs who is well known for religiosity invoked the mercy of Allah upon Stalin the communist; both himself and his ideology is the from the severest, most vehement enemies of Islam! And that was a speech delivered in a radio broadcast by this leader upon the occasion of the death of Stalin. And it is not surprising that this ruling is unknown to the likes of this person. However, what is surprising is that some of the Islamic callers have also fallen into this, wherein one of them said in a treatise, “May Allah have mercy upon the [deceased] Bernard Shaw…” And some trustworthy narrators mentioned to me that one of the sheikhs would pray the funeral prayer over those who died from the esoteric (Bātinee) sect of Isma’īlees whilst he himself believes that they are non-Muslims, due to the fact that they don’t believe in the Prayer (Salāh) or the Hajj and they worship a human being! Yet alongside all this he prays over their deceased out of hypocrisy and wishing to impress them. And to Allah is the complaint and His aid is sought”. [Ahkāmul-Janā’iz, p. 124] https://abukhadeejah.com/an-nawawi-and-al-albani-on-seeking-forgiveness-for-the-deceased-non-muslims/ ]

Condolence to a non-Muslim

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: There are three views; some scholars prohibited and some of permitted it, and some of them further explained that if the ruler sees a benefit in repelling evil and bringing about good, it is permissible for him to do that by congratulating, visiting the sick, condoling, or the like. If he considers that to be good for Muslims – to repel the evil of the enemies and the like, and they (i.e. the rulers) do not intend (or aim) to agree with their falsehood (i.e. not intentionally uttering or doing anything that opposes Islam whilst congratulating the unbelievers or sending condolences etc); but rather they intend (or aim) to benefit the Muslims, protect the Muslims from the plots of the enemies, eager to repel the harm (of the enemies) or so that the enemies accept Islam, then this is permissible. This is the statement that is based on the balanced path and the most upright (based on the Sharee’ah evidences), and that is to examine the affairs that will bring about welfare and the affairs that might cause harm. So, if affairs related to welfare necessitates that (i.e. to send condolences to the unbelievers), it is permissible to offer condolences, visit the sick and congratulate. Unless this is done to bring about welfare for the Muslims – neither out of loving falsehood nor hating truth, otherwise it is impermissible. And due to this, the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] visited the Jew who used to serve him when he was sick, whilst hoping that Allaah will guide him. So, when the Prophet invited him to Islam, he looked at his father, then his father said, “Obey Abul Qaasim” and thus he testified that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah and that Muhammad is Allaah’s Messenger. Allaah guided the Jew and the Prophet came out, saying, “All praise is due to Allaah Who saved the boy from the Hell-fire.” (5)

Al-Harb said: Ishaq narrated from Muslim Ibn Qutaybah, who narrated from Katheer Bin Abaan, who narrated from Ghaalib, who said that Al-Hasan said, “When you give condolence to a Dhimmi (i.e. a non-Muslim citizen of a Muslim State), say, ‘May nothing happen to you except good”.

Congratulations: The scholars warn against congratulations that might indicate that one is pleased with the religion of the unbelievers, such as the statement uttered by the ignorant people, “May Allaah protect or grant you wellbeing by way of your religion” and what is similar to this statement. As for the congratulation that is tantamount to uttering a specific statement of disbelief, this is unlawful based on the consensus of the scholars, such as congratulating them during their festivals, saying, “May this be a blessed holiday (or festival) for you” or “Congratulations on this holiday (i.e. related to religious practice, ritual, belief)”, because even if the one who utters this statement is safe from disbelief, it is one of the Muharramaat (unlawful deeds), and it is tantamount to congratulating him (i.e. a Christian) for prostrating to the Cross; rather this (congratulation) is a greater sin and more hateful – in the Sight of Allaah- than congratulating a person for drinking alcohol, committing murder, illegal sexual intercourse and what is similar. (6)

Specified National Days of Mourning On Behalf of Personalities

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “Indeed, it has become the custom of many Islamic countries in this era to specify – by way of an order- a period of three days of mourning, or less or more, for the kings and leaders together with the cessation (of work) in government departments and flags flown at half-mast. There is no doubt that this act is contrary to Muhammad’s Sharee’ah, and it contains an imitation of the enemies of Islam. (see footnote a) It has been reported in the authentic hadiths – transmitted from Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] – that prohibit specifying days of mourning and cautioning against it, except in the case of a wife, because she mourns her husband for four months and ten days. As for other than this in relation to specifying days of mourning, it is not allowed by the Sharee’ah, and there is nothing in the perfected Sharee’ah that allows it to be done for a king, leader, or other than them.

Indeed, during the lifetime of the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him], his son Ibrahim, his three daughters and other individuals died, but he did not specify days of mourning for them. During his time, leaders were killed, but he did not specify days of mourning for them, such as Zaid Bin Haritha, Jafar Bin Abi Talib and Abdullah Bin Rawahah.

Then the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] died- and he was the most honorable of the creation, the best of the Prophets, the master of the children of Adam, and the calamity that afflicts humankind because of his death is the greatest of calamities, but the Companions did not specify days of mourning for him. (see footnote b). Then Abu Bakr As-Siddiq died – and he is the best of the Companions, and the most honorable of creation after the Prophets, but days of mourning were not specified for him. Then Umar, Uthman and Ali were killed, and they are the best of creation after the Prophets and after Abu Bakr, but days of mourning were not specified for them. And likewise, all the Prophet’s companions passed away, but days of mourning were not specified for them. The Imaams of Islaam and the leaders of guidance amongst the scholars of the Taabi’een and those after them died, such as Sa’eed Ibn al-Musayyib, Ali Ibn Al-Husayn Zain Al-Aabideen and his son Muhammad Bin Ali, Umar Bin Abdil Azeez, Az-Zuhree, Imaam Abu Haneefah and his two companions, Imaam Maalik Bin Anas, Al-Awzaa’ee, Ath-Thawree, Imaam Ash-Shaafi’ee, Imaam Ahmad Bin Hanbal, Ishaaq Ibn Rahaawayh and other than them amongst the Imaams of knowledge and guidance; but days of mourning were not specified for them.

If this was good, the righteous predecessors would have preceded in doing so, and all good is in following them, and all evil is in opposing them. The Sunnah of Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him]-, which we have already mentioned- shows that what our righteous predecessors did by not specifying days of mourning for other than non-spouses is the truth and what is correct; and that what people do today by specifying days of mourning for kings and leaders is a matter that contradicts the pure Sunnah together with the many harms that it entails- the disruption of welfare and the imitation of the enemies of Islam. And due to this, one should know that what is obligated on the Muslim leaders and notables is to abandon specifying days of mourning and follow the path of our righteous predecessors – the Companions of the Prophet and those who followed their path. It is incumbent upon the people of knowledge to warn people of this, notify them and acquaint them with this, in fulfillment of the duty of advice, cooperation upon righteousness and piety. (7)

The Ruling On Minutes Silence – By The Scholars of Lajnah Daa’iamah

What some people do by standing for a while in silence – in order to pay homage to martyrs or dignitaries, or people of status, or to honor and show respect to their souls and specify mourning for them – is one of the evils and the initiated innovations in religious affairs, which was neither present in the Prophet’s era [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] nor during the era of the companions, nor during the era of the righteous predecessors. It is not in agreement with the etiquettes of pure Islamic Monotheism and sincerity in exalting Allaah; but rather some of the Muslims who are ignorant about their religion follow those – amongst the unbelievers – who innovated it, blindly follow them in their customs, exaggeration of the status of their leaders and notables -whether dead or alive. Indeed, the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] forbade us from imitating them. (see footnote c) And what is known in Islam from the rights of its adherents is to supplicate for the dead Muslims, give alms on their behalf, mention their virtues and refrain from speaking ill of them (see footnote d), and many of the etiquettes which Islam has clarified, urge the Muslim to observe them, whilst dealing with his brothers, living and dead; but it does not include standing in mourning with silence in order to pay homage to the martyrs or dignitaries; rather this is from that which the principles of Islam reject. (8)

Finally, we ask Allaah to grant us the Tawfeeq to adhere to the pure Sunnah and distance from everything that opposes it. However, the above does not negate living with non-Muslims with fine conduct and fulfilling covenants. Must read following articles:

[12] The Affair of Markaz Tawheed: [Nosey Parkers and Time Wasters Amongst Hizbiyyoon Ask Pathetic and Irrelevant Question]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Indeed, after being rebutted for their corrupt Manhaj and the pathetic doubts they seek to attribute to Salafiyyah, such as their doubts related to cooperating with ahlul bidah [see here], some of the blazing hizbiyyoon at Markaz Tawheed have now manifested the fact that they are pathetic nosy parkers and time wasters! Laughable indeed is the affair of that specific or specific pathetic hizbiyyoon who want to know how a Salafi brother bought his house.

And indeed We have created man, and We know what his ownself whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge). (Remember!) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being after he or she has attained the age of puberty), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions). Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it). [Surah Qaaf. Aayaat 16-18]

Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “When the son of Adam wakes up in the morning, all the limbs humble themselves before the tongue and say: ”Fear Allaah for our sake, (for) we are with you; if you are upright, we will be upright; and if you are crooked, we will become crooked”. (1)

Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “Whoever can guarantee (the chastity of) what is between his two jaw bones and what is between his two legs (i.e. his mouth, his tongue and his private parts), I guarantee Paradise for him”. (2) Imaam Abdul-Azeez Bin Baaz [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “This requires two affairs: profuse remembrance (of Allaah) and keeping away from gatherings of heedlessness and doubts, and (keeping away from) that which will result in fornication and nonsense speech”. (3)

Abu Hurayrah [may Allaah be pleased with him] said that Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said, “Part of the perfection of one’s Islam is his leaving that which does not concern him”. [Hadith 12. An-Nawawi]

Imaam Ibn Qudaamah Al-Maqdisee [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “Know that whoever is acquainted with the worth of his era and that it is his main capital, he will not seek an understanding except in what is beneficial. This acquaintance obligates restraining one’s tongue from speaking about that which does not concern him, for indeed the one who abandons the remembrance of Allaah (The Most High) and busies himself with what does not concern him, he is like one who is able to get hold of a gem but exchanges it for a clod of earth. This is a loss of one’s lifespan”. (4)

Abdur-Rahmaan Al-Umari [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “If a servant of Allaah is one who keeps away from the doubtful matters due fear of falling into the forbidden and risk ruining an affair his in the hereafter, he will abandon what does not concern him and will concern himself with what concerns him”.

Fudayl Ibn Iyaad [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “The people claim that keeping away from the doubtful matters out of fear of falling into the forbidden and thus risk ruining an affair in Hereafter is very difficult; but I do not come across two affairs, except that I select the affair that is more difficult for me (to abandon), therefore, leave what makes you doubtful for what is not doubtful”.

Hassaan Bin Abee Sinaan [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “There is not anything easier than keeping away from the doubtful matters due to fear of falling into the forbidden and ruining an affair of yours in the Hereafter, therefore, when you are doubt about something, leave it”.

Umar Bin Abdul Azeez [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “Whoever makes his speech reckon with his actions, then his speech in that which does not concern him will be little”. (5)

Sufyan [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “It is obligated on you to have the fear of Allaah that will keep you away from doubtful matters and your giving account on the day of Judgement will be less severe, leave what makes you doubtful for that which does not make you doubtful, abandon doubt for certainty, and your religion will be safe”. (6)

Time Wasting:

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him], “Time wasting is more serious than death because it cuts you off from Allaah and the home of the afterlife, whereas death cuts you off from the worldly life and its people”. (7) “The greatest profit in the worldly life is that you preoccupy yourself- every time- with what is more worthy (or obligatory), and with what is more beneficial for (you) in the hereafter”. (8)

Reminder Given By Shaikh Abu Khadeejah to Brothers at Masjid Al-Furqan (Stoke) About Constant Learning and Opponents of The Sound Salafi Manhaj

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Few years ago, when Masjid Abi Hurairah was not established yet, the Shurah of Masjid Furqan – together with Ustaadh Abu Tasneem [may Allaah preserve him] – visited beloved Shaikh Abdul Waahid Abu Khadeejah [may Allaah preserve him] at his house. Shaikh Abu Khadeejah enquired about study circles in Stoke and then said, “The Dawah you do will not be tested unless there are regular lessons and clarifications”.

Indeed, this is being experienced at present after few years of regular study circles in the Masjid and clarifications on the Minbar when needed. Those specific hizbiyyoon at Markaz Tawheed have now openly declared what they are upon, therefore, besides the study circles in the Masjid, there has to be constant clarifications on Manhaj issues – during study circles and on the Minbar – whenever the need arises. Let us be warned against complacency, laziness and fear of blame in that which is an obligation. We remind you of the danger of refraining from giving clarification when needed, as Al-Allaamah Abdur Rahmaan Bin Yahyah Al-Mu’allimee Al-Yamaanee [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “Some of the scholars hold that when the Christians first exceeded the limits regarding the status of Eesaa [peace be upon him], those who exceeded the limits used to accuse everyone who rebuke them that such a person is one who hates Eesaa and belittles him, so this became the greatest means to spreading exaggeration because the small group of people who followed the truth saw that if they rebuke the ones who exceeded the limits, they would be attributed to something that is more repugnant, such as the accusation that they hate Eesaa and belittle him, as well as being hated by the majority of the people and harmed. Therefore, this held them back from rebuking those who exceeded the limits and thus shaytaan was free to do what he wanted”. (1)

So, understand this very well O Salafiyyoon of Stoke! It was not the Admin of Masjid Furqan and Masjid Abi Hurairah that came out and cooperated with ahlul bidah in the name of Salafiyyah, rather it was Markaz Tawheed who initiated this affair. Therefore, O Salafiyyoon of Stoke! Be truthful and let us be careful of sinful silence. Ibn Aqeel [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “If the truthful ones were to keep silent and the falsifiers speak, then the creation would have relinquished what they have witnessed [of truth] and reject what they have not witnessed. So when the devout ones desire to revive the Sunnah, the people would reject it and think that it is bidah”. (2)

Indeed, we have a fine example in our elder teachers [Shaikh Abu Khadeejah, Shaikh Abu Iyaad, Shaikh Abdul Ilaah, Shaikh Uwais At-Taweel, Shaikh Abu Idrees, Shaikh Abu Hakeem and others], because this is what they know from the upright scholars of this Ummah. Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baz [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “The student of knowledge is very eager not to hide anything he knows. He is eager to clarify the truth and refute the opponents of the Religion of Islaam. He is neither lackadaisical nor does he seek to escape. He is always manifesting due to his endurance. So when the opponents of Islaam appear with that which obscures and defames Islaam, he brings forth refutation against them by writing, and by word of mouth, and other than that. He is neither lackadaisical nor does he say, ”these affairs are for other than me”, rather he says, ”it is for me, it is for me”. Even if there are other scholars, he still fears that the affair will slip away. So he is constantly salient and does not seek to escape, rather he comes forward at the appropriate time in order to aid the haqq, and refute the opponents of Islaam by writing and other than it…by means of the radio, or the newspapers, or TV, or through any means he can. He also does not hide what he has of knowledge, rather he writes, gives khutbah and refutes the people of innovation and other than them from the opponents of Islaam, with what Allaah has bestowed upon him of strength, in accordance to his knowledge, and with that which Allaah has made easy for him of various capabilities. Allaah [The Exalted] said:

Verily, those who conceal the clear proofs, evidences and the guidance, which WE have sent down, after WE have made it clear for the people in the Book, they are the ones cursed by Allaah and cursed by the cursers. Except those who repent and do righteous deeds, and openly declare (the truth which they concealed). These, I will accept their repentance. And I am the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful. (3)

Therefore, attend the study circles, mix with the people who can give detail clarifications and will not hide anything from you. May Allaah bless you all Aameen.

[11] The Affair of Markaz at-Tawheed: [General Statements By Way of Which Reality Is Concealed- Truth Mixed With Falsehood]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah [The Most High] said: [وَلَا تَلْبِسُوا الْحَقَّ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَتَكْتُمُوا الْحَقَّ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ – And mix not truth with falsehood, nor conceal the truth while you know (the truth)]. [Surah Al-Baqarah. Aayah 42]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: Allaah forbade (us) from mixing truth with falsehood, and thus leading to concealment of the truth. Mixing truth with false is by mixing the two until one of them is confused for the other. This is forgery and deceit by way of which what is made apparent is the opposite of what it is in reality. Likewise, when truth is confounded with falsehood, the culprit manifests falsehood in the image of truth and speaks with a statement that carries two meanings- a correct meaning and false meaning, so the listener is under the illusion that the speaker intends the correct meaning, whilst he (i.e. the speaker) intends the corrupt meaning. (1)

[A] The blazing hizbi or those specific hizbiyyoon stated, “Knowledge is taken from the Quran and Sunnah and this is our Dawah and what we should busy ourselves with”.

Response: This is a statement of truth, but the hizbiyyah they are upon – cooperating with ahlul bidah until that led them to aid the soofees in that would strengthen their bidah – is not from the Qur'aan and Sunnah. Refer to article: https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2022/09/02/6-the-affair-of-markaz-tawheed-o-truthful-adherents-to-salafiyyah-in-stoke-on-trent-neither-participate-nor-spend-a-penny-in-an-event-that-will-aid-staunch-soofees-to-strengthen-their-bidah-and-m/

[B] The blazing hizbi or those specific hizbiyyoon stated, “That cooperation on good is commanded in the Quran and has been acted upon by the Salaf and recent Scholars of this Ummah”.

Response: This is a statement of truth, but this is neither extended to ahlul bidah nor do we use scholars as an alibi to cooperate with ahlul bidah. Refer to articles:

[10.1] The Affair of Markaz Tawheed: [A Principle Regarding Unity, Splitting and Cooperating With Ahlul Bidah]

[10.2] The Affair of Markaz Tawheed: [A Principle Regarding Splitting, Takfeer, Tabdee and Cooperating With Ahlul Bidah!]

[10.4] The Affair of Markaz Tawheed: [Close Scrutiny of Their Inclination Towards Using Scholars Seen In The Presence of Ahlul Bidah As An Alibi to Co-operate With Ahlul Bidah!

[C] The blazing hizbi or those specific hizbiyyoon stated, “Cooperation with a person of innovation does not take you out of the Salafi manhaj unconditionally. “Taking knowledge and benefiting from the people of innovation does not make one an innovator unconditionally”.

Response: The Salaf neither listen to ahlul bidah nor sat with them. However, the only ones allowed to approach them are those scholars who are strong in both knowledge and character as Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi mentioned. Refer to article: https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2022/09/11/10-4-the-affair-of-markaz-tawheed-close-scrutiny-of-their-inclination-towards-using-scholars-seen-in-the-presence-of-ahlul-bidah-as-an-alibi-to-co-operate-with-ahlul-bidah/

As for declaring people innovators, then indeed there is no doubt that this affair is left to those scholars who study the affair of individuals, groups and parties, and they will pass a judgement.

[D] The blazing hizbi or those specific hizbiyyoon stated, “Praising the people of innovation does not make you an innovator unconditionally”.

Response: Refer to article here: It Is Not Permissible to Exalt The Innovators – [By Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan]: https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2020/01/17/it-is-not-permissible-to-exalt-the-innovators-by-shaikh-saaleh-al-fawzaan/

As for declaring people innovators, then indeed there is no doubt that this affair is left to those scholars who study the affair of individuals, groups and parties, and they will pass a judgement.

[E] The blazing hizbi or those specific hizbiyyoon stated, “One should fear Allah and not excessively praise, refute or busy oneself with fault finding and refuting”. “Busy yourself with beneficial knowledge of the Quran and Sunnah and not backbiting and slander”.

Response: Hizbiyyoon love general and ambiguous statements. Indeed the above statement needs clarity with examples that distinguishes between truth and falsehood in the affairs mentioned, otherwise benefit is not acquired, as Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: “The basis of Banee Aadam’s misguidance is as a result of ‘General Terms’ and ‘Ambiguous Meanings’ [i.e. terms & meanings which can either be utilised for truth or falsehood when not explained in detail and distinguished], especially if they come in contact with a confused mind, then how about when [evil] desires and misguided enthusiasm is added to that? Therefore, ask the One Who keeps the hearts steadfast [i.e. Allaah] to keep your heart firm upon His Religion and not allow you to fall into this darkness”. (2)

The Imaam also said, “It is obligated on you to give detail and make a distinction, because unrestricted and general [statements] without clarification has indeed corrupted this existence [i.e. the world], and misguided the intellects and views [of the people] in every era”. Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him] said, “There has to be detail explanation. The one who is not proficient in giving detail should keep quiet, because benefit is not acquired from his speech. And every time error occurs, its cause is due to an absence of detail explanation regarding truth and falsehood. There has to be detail explanation and distinction and not to mix up [affairs]. Indeed, it may be that there is something of truth and falsehood in an opponent’s statement, so all of it is neither deemed to be false nor truth; rather there has to be a distinction between its truth and falsehood. All of it is neither rejected nor accepted; rather a distinction is made regarding the truth and what is correct and the falsehood and error in it. And if you are not proficient in giving detail, then you should not enter into this field”. (3)

The hizbiyyoon also accused us of lacking sound Al-Walaa Wal Baraa: read here:
