[13] Seeking to Discredit Scholars of Ahlul Athar! [The vile, scornful Bid’ee Muhammad Hijaab exposes his true reality]

In The Name of Allah Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Imam Abu Ismaa’eel As-Saaboonee [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: “The signs of bidah on its proponents (adherents) are clearly visible, and the most apparent of their signs and hallmarks is their intense enmity towards the bearers of the authentic reports of the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] and their contempt for them and belittlement of them”. [1]

Al-Allaamah Muhammad Ibn Ahmad Bin Saalim As-Safaareenee [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: “Our aim is not to mention the statuses of Ahlul Hadith because their virtues are well-known and their praiseworthy deeds and virtues are abundant. Whoever disparages them is vile and deficient, and whoever hates them is from the party of Iblees, a deviant”. [2]

Al-Allaamah Shaikh Abdullah Bin Muhammad Bin Abdil Wahhaab [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “There is none who hates the scholars of Hadith and speaks against them except one who is from the proponents of bidah, lies and immorality”. [3]

So, let it be known to Muhammad Hijaab and all those who speak ill of the erudite Salafi Scholar Al-AllaamahSaalih Al-Fawzaan or any other upright scholar, that his wrongful actions can be summed up in the following poem:

يُخاطِبُني السَفيهُ بِكُلِّ قُبحٍ

The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] “Whoever starts a good thing [i.e. something other than bidah and sin] and is followed by others, he will have his own reward and a reward equal to that of those who follow him, without it detracting from their reward in any way. Whoever starts a bad thing [i.e. a bidah, sin or something that opposes Islaam] and is followed by others, will bear the burden of his own sin and a burden equal to that of those who follow him, without it detracting from their burden in any way”. Imaam As-Sadi [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “This subject matter makes clear to you the lofty station of calling to the path of Allah, guidance to His path through every means and path that leads to it; and the lowly status of the caller to evil and a leader in it, and that he is the most degraded human being”. The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Verily, Allah blocks the repentance of every adherent to Bidah until he abandons his bidah”. [1]

Imaam Al-Albaani (may Allah have mercy upon him) said: “This does not constitute a Shariah ruling (i.e. does not mean that the Shariah prevents the person from repentance as a rule), but the meaning of the hadith is that an individual following the path of Bidah and it is made fairseeming to him that it is good, this one does not repent from it. This is the barrier that hinders and prevents the adherent of Bidah from seeking repentance. (i.e. to abandon the Bidah) In this subject matter here, the scholars said that Bidah in the religion is more perilous than sin, as I explained to you”. [2]

Imam Al-Awzaa’ee [may Allah have mercy upon him] said:

“O Muslims! Fear Allah, accept the advice of the sincere advisers and the admonition of the admonishers. know that this knowledge is religion, so beware of what you do, from whom you take your religion, the one you follow, and the one with whom your religion is safe because indeed all the proponents of religious innovation are falsifiers, liars, and sinners. They are not cautious – neither do they pay attention nor do they fear, and together with that they are not to be trusted that they would not distort what you hear. They say what they do not know with regards to what they disapprove of and when proclaiming their lies; but Allah (knows, hears, and sees) what they do. Therefore, be cautious of them, trust them not, reject them, and avoid them because this is what your earlier scholars did and commanded, and likewise the righteous ones who came thereafter. Be careful of opposing Allah and being the means to destroying the religion He has ordained – breaking its commands and prohibitions, nullifying and weakening it by respecting the innovators in religious affairs and those who initiate that which is not from the religion because you know what has been transmitted (i.e. the prohibitions) about respecting or exalting them. What can be greater respect and exaltation than acquiring your religion from them- following and believing them, drawing close to them, and assisting them in enticing the ones they entice and wooing to their views and the religion (i.e. religious innovations) they follow? This is sufficient to be regarded as associates of theirs in what they do“. [1]

[9] Seeking to Discredit Scholars of Ahlul Athar! [Muhammad Hijaab’s tendency to lie or transgress is expected due to the influence of Bidah on his behaviour]

Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim [may Allah have mercy upon him] said:

Allah [The Exalted] says:

قُلْ إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ رَبِّىَ ٱلْفَوَٰحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَٱلْإِثْمَ وَٱلْبَغْىَ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ وَأَن تُشْرِكُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِۦ سُلْطَٰنًا وَأَن تَقُولُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

Say (O Muhammad): “(But) the things that my Lord has indeed forbidden are Al-Fawahish (great evil sins, every kind of unlawful sexual intercourse, etc.) whether committed openly or secretly, sins (of all kinds), oppression without right, joining partners (in worship) with Allah for which He has given no authority, and saying things about Allah of which you have no knowledge.” [Surah Al-A’raaf. Ayah 33]

Imaam Ibn Al-Qayyim [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: As for speaking about Allah without knowledge, it is considered the most forbidden act and the greatest sin. This is why it is ranked fourth among the forbidden things that have been universally agreed upon by all laws and the teachings of the Prophets. It is not permissible under any circumstances and is always considered forbidden. Unlike dead animals, blood, and swine, which may be permissible in certain situations, speaking about Allah without knowledge is prohibited at all times. Allah – The Exalted- says regarding those things that are forbidden in and of themselves:

[قُلْ إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ رَبِّىَ ٱلْفَوَٰحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ – Say (O Muhammad): “(But) the things that my Lord has indeed forbidden are Al-Fawahish (great evil sins, every kind of unlawful sexual intercourse, etc.) whether committed openly or secretly”. Then He moved from it to what is greater than it, saying [وَٱلْإِثْمَ وَٱلْبَغْىَ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ -sins (of all kinds), oppression without right]. Then He mentions what is greater than it, saying: [وَأَن تُشْرِكُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِۦ سُلْطَٰنًا – joining partners (in worship) with Allah for which He has given no authority]. Then He mentions what is greater, saying: [وَأَن تَقُولُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ -and saying things about Allah of which you have no knowledge], which is the greatest of what is forbidden in the sight of Allah and the most sinful because it includes lying about Allah and attributing to Him what does not befit Him, altering the religion He has ordained, denying what He affirms and affirming what He negates, doing what He has invalidated and invalidating what He established, showing enmity to those who follow Him and having loyalty to those who oppose Him, loving what He hates and hating what He loves, and describing Him with what does not befit Him regarding His Attributes, Statements and Actions. There is nothing more forbidden in the Sight of Allah than this, nor more sinful. It is the root of polytheism and disbelief, and the foundation of innovation and misguidance in religious matters. Every innovation in religious matters stems from speaking about Allah without knowledge and this is why the pious predecessors and Imams strongly condemned it, warning against its dangers more than they did against immorality, injustice, and aggression because the harm caused by innovation in religious matters, its threat to the religion, and its opposition are more serious. [1]

Shaikh Al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: “The people of hadith were keen on truthfulness, to the point that many statements, which in themselves are credible and truth that agreed with the Qur’an and the Sunnah that were attributed to the Prophet, they declared them weak or said, “It is a lie against the Prophet” because he did not say it, or it was not proven to be his statement based on authentic chains of transmission, even though its meaning is true. However, the basis of the statements of the proponents of innovation in religious matters is lying, either intentionally or by way of innovation in religious matters, and for this reason Allah associates lying with polytheism in more than one place in His book, such as His saying:

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ ٱلْعِجْلَ سَيَنَالُهُمْ غَضَبٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَذِلَّةٌ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُفْتَرِينَ

Certainly, those who took the calf (for worship), wrath from their Lord, and humiliation will come upon them in the life of this world. Thus do We recompense those who invent lies. [Surah Al-A’raaf. Ayah 152] [2]

Shaikh Al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: “The statements made by the Prophets [peace be upon them] are nothing but the pure truth. On the other hand, the reports provided by those who oppose their teachings, such as magicians, [soothsayers], polytheists, people of the Scripture, the sinful individuals, and those who introduce innovations in religious matters among the Muslims, will undoubtedly contain lies. This is because anyone who goes against the teachings of the Prophets will inevitably resort to lying and committing injustice, whether it is done intentionally or out of ignorance”. [3]

Allah [The Most High] says:

لَا تَحْسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفْرَحُونَ بِمَآ أَتَوا۟ وَّيُحِبُّونَ أَن يُحْمَدُوا۟ بِمَا لَمْ يَفْعَلُوا۟ فَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّهُم بِمَفَازَةٍ مِّنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

Think not that those who rejoice in what they have done (or brought about), and love to be praised for what they have not done,- think not you that they are rescued from the torment, and for them is a painful torment. [Surah Al-Imran. Ayah 188]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: They rejoice in what they have brought about of bidah and misguidance, and love to be praised for following the Sunnah and sincerity. [i.e. they want to be praised for what they do not deserve about following the sunnah and having sincerity] [1]

Muhammad’s Hijaab’s deviations are well-known to Ahlus Sunnah in the UK, America, and Canada. In addition, he exhibits another characteristic of ahlul bidah – showing misplaced good thoughts about those who propagate misguidance, while unjustly holding an evil thought about those who call others to the path of guidance. Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Mad’khali [may Allah preserve him] stated: “Destructive good thought is to have good thoughts about the people of falsehood, whether they are disbelievers, innovators in religious matters, or sinners. The disbelievers’ rejection of the Messengers, severe disbelief in the Messengers and their message were driven by their evil thoughts about the people of truth, and holding good thoughts about ancestors, their false religions, and disbelief. Ahlul Bidah, such as the Rawaafid, the khawaarij, the Soofiyyah, the Murji’ah, the Qadariyyah, and the proponents of false partisanship are destroyed by good thoughts about their Shaikhs, figureheads, and corrupt creeds. Conversely, they are destroyed by their evil thoughts about the truth and its adherents. Abul Hasan Al-Maribee and his followers have a share of both this destructive good thoughts and destructive evil thoughts”. [2]

Indeed, this is exactly what is witnessed from deviated Muhammad Hijaab, as Shaikh Abu Iyaad [may Allah preserve him] stated: “Recently, a video was circulated wherein Asrar Rashid (Ṣūfī Barelwi), Moḥammad Ḥijāb (Ikhwānī Mutafalsif, online performance artist), and Haitham Ḥaddād (Ikhwānī), are having a conversation about Ṣūfī ṭarīqahs. In it Ḥijāb makes mention of one of his ancestors, Aḥmad Ḥijāb, who he describes as a “great sufi” and as we discover, is the self-declared “spiritual son” of Aḥmad al-Badawī, the wathan (deity) in Ṭanṭā (Egypt) that is invoked and worshipped alongside Allāh. There are some important observations to be made in light of this, given Moḥammad Ḥijāb’s belittlement of Shaykh al-Islām Muḥammad bin ʿAbd al-Wahhāb’s writings on the subjects of Tawḥīd and Shirk”. Therefore, it is no surprise that Muhammad Hijaab has recently attempted to mock Al-Allaamah Saalih Al-Fawzaan [may Allah preserve him] because Hijaab loves Ahlul Bidah and hates the Salafiyyoon. Shaykh Al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah said, “And Imaan is known about a man, just as all the states of his heart are known by way of his (outward) allegiances, enmities, his rejoicing, anger, hunger, thirst, and other such affairs. For these matters have certain outward binding necessities (lawaazim dhaahirah) and the outward matters necessitate inward matters. And this is a matter known, the people know this concerning the one that they have experienced and tested (jarraboohu wamtahinoohu)…”. (Minhaaj As-Sunnah 8/475) [3]

Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said: “Verily, Allah does not take away knowledge by snatching it from the people, but He takes it away by taking away death of the religious scholars till none of the scholars remains alive. Then the people will take ignorant ones as their leaders, who, when asked to deliver religious verdicts, will issue them without knowledge, the result being that they will go astray and will lead others astray”. [Bukhari and Muslim]

Al-Haafidh Al-Qurtubiy [may Allah have mercy upon him] stated in Al-Mufhim, “This text (proves) that the disappearance of knowledge will not be by way of its removal from the hearts, but will be through the death of the scholars; (then) the ignorant people will remain- those who will occupy the place of the scholars in giving verdicts and teaching. They will teach and give verdicts based on ignorance, so ignorance will spread and become manifest”. So, if the Sound Sunni knowledge is taken away, acting upon it will be taken away- is that not the case? When ignorance manifests, acting upon it will become manifest, then both knowledge and acting upon (knowledge) will disappear, ignorance will manifest, and acting upon (ignorance) will become widespread just as Al-Haafidh Al-Qurtubiy clarified in Al-Mufhim. [1]

Allah [The Most High] says:

وَجَعَلْنَا بَعْضَكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ فِتْنَةً أَتَصْبِرُونَ

And We have made some of you as a trial for others: will you have patience? [Surah Al-Furqan Ayah 20]

Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: A man asked Imam Ash-Shaafi’ee [may Allah have mercy upon him], “Which is better: to be granted strength and authority to follow the path of Allah without any hindrance, or to face trials first?” Ash-Shaafi’ee told him, “No one is given strength and authority to follow the path of Allah without facing obstacles from those who deny or oppose Allah and His Messengers. This is because Allah tested and tried Nuh, Ibraaheem, Musa, Isa, and Muhammad, and after they exercised patience, they were given the authority and strength to establish the path of Allah without any hindrance”. [1]

The ignorant people are a trial for the scholars regarding whether they will teach and advise them while exercising patience, and the scholars a trial for the ignorant people regarding whether they will obey and follow the guidance of the scholars. [2]

Shaikh Shamsuddeen Al-Afghaanee As-Salafi [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: Ahlul Bidah are the ones who kindle trials and disorder. They are chaotic people and are deprived of safety and security. They are a people of trials and disturbance as opposed to Ahlul Hadeeth Was-Sunan (i.e. those who steadfastly adhere to authentic narrations of the Prophet in Creed, worship, and methodology). Have they (i.e. the people of Sunnah) committed what the people of bidah and trials have committed?! The people of bidah trespass alongside enmity and innovation, while Ahlus Sunnah respond and defend (the religion). [3]

So, let it be known to Muhammad Hijaab and all those who speak ill of the erudite Salafi Scholar Al-Allaamah Saalih Al-Fawzaan or any other upright scholar, that his wrongful actions can be summed up in the following poem:

يُخاطِبُني السَفيهُ بِكُلِّ قُبحٍ
فَأَكرَهُ أَن أَكونَ لَهُ مُجيبا
يَزيدُ سَفاهَةً فَأَزيدُ حِلماً
كَعودٍ زادَهُ الإِحراقُ طيبا

The fool addresses me with every repugnant (expression etc), but I hate to be a respondent, so he increases in foolishness and I increase in forbearance, just as Oud increases in good smell when burnt.

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy Mercy.

Imaam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

All praise is due to Allaah, who in every age and interval between the Prophets, raises up a group from the people of knowledge, who call the misguided to guidance, patiently bear ill-treatment and harm. With the Book of Allaah they give life to the dead and with the Light of Allaah they give sight to the blind. How many a person killed by Iblees (the Devil) they have revived, how beautiful their effect has been upon the people, and how vile the people have been towards them! They remove from Allaah’s Book the alterations of those going beyond bounds, the false claims of the liars and the false interpretations of the ignoramus- those who uphold the banner of innovation and let loose the trials and discords, who oppose the Book and agree upon opposing the Book. They speak about Allaah and his Book without knowledge, argue about what is ambiguous in the Book and deceive the ignorant ones with such ambiguities. We seek refuge in Allaah from the trials of the misguided ones. [Ar-Radd Alal Jahmiyyah Waz-Zanaadiqah. p. 2]

Imam Ibn Hajar said, “The Judge Jamaal Ad-Deen, Abu Abdillah Ar-Reemiy, the jurist, Ash-Shaafi’ee, was born in the year 710AH. He acquired knowledge of the religion from various Shaikhs in Yemen, studied hadith transmission under the jurist Ibraaheem Bin Umar Al-Alawi, and authored an explanation of At-Tanbeeh in almost 20 Volumes. He was a teacher, issued fatwas, and was highly sought after in Yemen. He gained widespread recognition and passed away in the year 791AH in Zabid. Jamaal Al-Misri Muhammad Bin Abee Bakr from Zabid informed me that he witnessed his death and his tongue became swollen and turned black. It was believed that this was a result of speaking ill of Shaikh Muhyiddin An-Nawawee”. (1)

وقال ابنُ حَجَرٍ: (القاضي جمالُ الدِّينِ أبو عَبدِ اللهِ الريميُّ الفَقيهُ الشَّافِعيُّ، وُلِدَ سَنةَ عَشْرٍ وسَبْعِمائةٍ، وتفَقَّه على جماعةٍ مِن مشايخِ اليمَنِ، وسَمِعَ الحديثَ مِنَ الفَقيهِ إبراهيمَ بنِ عُمَر العَلَويِّ، وشَرَحَ التنبيهَ في نحوٍ مِن عِشرينَ مُجَلَّدًا، ودَرَّس وأفتى وكَثُرَت طَلَبتُه ببلادِ اليمَنِ، واشتَهَر ذِكْرُه وبَعُدَ صِيتُه، وكانت وفاتُه سنة 791 بزَبِيدٍ، أخبَرَني الجَمالُ المِصريُّ محمَّدُ بنُ أبي بَكرٍ بزَبِيدٍ أنَّه شاهَدَه عند وفاتِه وقد اندَلَعَ لِسانُه واسوَدَّ، فكانوا يَرَونَ أنَّ ذلك بسَبَبِ كَثرةِ وَقيعَتِه في الشَّيخِ مُحْيي الدِّينِ النَّوَويِّ رَحِمَه اللهُ تعالى
