[11b] Usaamah Ibn Ataayaa – [The Pottymouth Vile Hater], Reality of That Which His False Tabdee Necessitates and Calling Him – Between Us and Him – to Invoke The Curse of Allaah Upon The Liars!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Dr Muhammad Bin Haadi [may Allaah rectify his affair] made Tabdee without evidence. This is why Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Madkhali [may Allaah protect him] sternly demanded evidence from Dr Muhammad Bin Haadi for his oppressive judgements, but received no reply. See here: Reminder: Shaykh Rabiʿ’s request for Shaykh Muḥammad bin Hādī to justify his tabdīʿ of Salafī students and shaykhs and to explicitly name the major scholars he accused of being “affected” and “destroyed” by the “Ṣaʿāfiqah” – one month, no answer: https://twitter.com/abuiyaadsp/status/1018974451269033986?lang=en-GB

Likewise, vile Usaamah made Tabdee of us without any proof and even extended the affair to a far greater extent. He stated that amongst us are those hiding the doctrine of the Khawaarij, that we are Haddaadees, ahlul bidah, pretenders in our beliefs as Salafiyyoon, hizbiyyoon etc. He has not recanted, rather even some of the ignorant Musaafiqah are parroting his satanic verdict.

This was our response to him in brief:

[9] Usaamah Ibn Ataayaa – [The Pottymouth Vile Hater] – Roaming The Dangerous Borders of Conjecture and Vain Desires By Passing Judgements Without An Atom’s Weight of Proof!

[10] Usaamah Ibn Ataayaa’s – [The Pottymouth Vile Hater] – Verdict of Hizbiyyah Against Us Based on Guessing and Aggravated (Compounded) Ignorance or Vain Desires?!

The Consequences of His False Judgement

What are some of the consequences of Tabdee and how is a Mubtadi viewed and dealt with?! The following Aayaat of the Qur’aan and statements of the scholars will give you a brief introduction to the affair. After reading, then ponder regarding the crime of one who passes the judgement of Tabdee based on haste, anger, conjecture, oppression and vain desires. Ahmad Ibn Sinaan Al-Qattaan (rahimahullaah) said: There is no Mubtadi in the world except that he hates ahlul hadeeth, and when a man innovates the sweetness of hadeeth is removed from his heart [Aqeedatus Salaf 102]

Ibnul Jawzi said, Abul Wafaa Ibn Aqeel Al-Faqee said, our Shaikh Abul Fadl Al-Hamdaani said, “The innovators (in) Islam and the fabricators of Hadeeth are worse than the Mulhiddoon [i.e. the heretics (Ref A)], because the heretics aim to corrupt Islam from the outside, whilst these [people] want to corrupt it from within. They [i.e. the innovators and the fabricators of hadeeth] are similar to the people of a country who try to corrupt its state of affairs and the heretics are similar to those who lay a siege from the outside; so the ones from within [i.e. the innovators and fabricators of hadeeth] open the fortress. Therefore, they are more harmful to Islam than those who do not [attribute] themselves to it outwardly”. [Quoted by Shaikh Rabee (may Allaah preserve him) in his Book titled: Al-Mahajjah Al-Baydaa Fee Himaayati As-Sunnati Al-Gharraa’i Min Zallaati Alhlil Akh’taa Wa Zayghi Ahlil Ahwaa’ page: 47]

Allaah [The Most High] said: [ أَفَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُ سُوءُ عَمَلِهِ فَرَآهُ حَسَنًا – Is he, then, to whom the evil of his deeds made fair seeming, so that he considers it as good (equal to one who is rightly guided)?] [Surah Faatir; Ayah 8] Sa’eed Bin Jubair [rahimahullaah] said, “This was revealed concerning the people of bidah and desires”. [Tafseer Al-Baghawi 3/689]

Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: The pious predecessors named Ahlul Bidah Wal Furqah [i.e the people of Bidah and Splitting]- those who oppose the Book and the Sunnah- ahlul ahwaa [the people of desires], because of the fact that they accept what they love and reject what they hate based on their desires without guidance from Allaah. [An Excerpt from Majmoo Al-Fataawaa 4/189-190]

Allaah [The Most High] said: [وَلَا تَرۡكَنُوٓاْ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ فَتَمَسَّكُمُ ٱلنَّارُ -And incline not toward those who do wrong, lest the Fire should touch you]. [Surah Hud: Ayah 113]

Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi [may Allaah protect him] said, “The word [ظلم –wrong] in [this ayah] can [mean] disbelief; it can mean bidah and it can be [فسوق i.e. sinful, immoral behaviour], because (ظلم) can be applicable to all [i.e. in different contexts]. Therefore, we refrain from inclining towards the evil doers, the people of bidah, the Kuffaar, the Ilmaaniyyoon and other than them. And we protect ourselves, our Aqeedah, the Eemaan and sound religion which Allaah has bestowed on us”. [Source: An Excerpt from (الذريعة إلى بيان مقاصد كتاب الشريعة ) Vol 1 pages 192-193. Slightly paraphrased]

Ibn Abbaas [may Allaah be pleased with him and his father] said, “Do not sit with the people of desires; for indeed it causes sickness of the heart”. [Reported by Imaam Al-Aajuree in Ash-Sharee-ah: 1/453]

Imaam Ahmad [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “Beware of writing down (knowledge) from one of the people of desires-be it a little or a lot”. [Siyar 11/231]

Sa’eed Ibn Amr Al-Bardha’ee [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “I witnessed when Abu Zur’ah was asked about Haarith Al-Muhaasibee and his books; so he said to the questioner: ‘Beware of these books; they are books of bidah and misguidance'”. [Al-Meezaan 2/165]

Sallaam Ibn Abee Mutee [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “A man from the people of desires said to Ayyoub As-Sakhtiyaanee, ‘O Abaa-Bakr! I want to ask you about some statement’, so Ayyoub walked away and started gesturing with his finger, saying, ‘Not even half a statement'”. [Reported by Imaam Al-Aajuree in Ash-Sharee-ah 1/440]

We Call Usaamah to Mubaahalah

Al-Haafidh Ibn Hajr [rahimahullaah] said, “There is a benefit in the story of the people of Najraan, and in it is that Mubaahalah is legislated against the opposer when he persists upon [falsehood] after the proofs have been manifested. Indeed, Ibn Abbaas [radiyallaahu-anhumaa] did call to it, then Al-Awzaa’ee [rahimahullaah] and some of the scholars. And that which is well known from experience is that the affair of one who performs Mubaahalah – whilst he is one upon falsehood – does not extend beyond the year of the Mubaahalah. This occurred between me and a person who was fanatically supporting some of the heretics and after two months he could not stand up”. [1]

Shaikh Albaanee [rahimahullaah] was asked about the ruling on MUBAAHALAH in relation to worldly matters: Question: The hadith regarding the Najran delegation is well known when they came to the Messenger of Allaah [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him], and then Allaah revealed:

Then whoever disputes with you concerning him [‘Iesa (Jesus)] after (all this) knowledge that has come to you, [i.e. ‘Iesa (Jesus)] being a slave of Allah, and having no share in Divinity) say: (O Muhammad) “Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves – then we pray and invoke (sincerely) the Curse of Allah upon those who lie.” [Surah Aal Imraan. Aayah 61]

So he called them to MUBAAHALAH, but they refused. It is well known to us that MUBAAHALAH is not to be done except in issues related to Aqeedah, but some people amongst the Muslims suggest this ruling in worldly affairs between him and his Muslim brother; meaning, if my Muslim brother owes me money but denies it, then would it be permissible to suggest this ruling between me and my Muslim brother?

Answer: May Allaah bless you. The answer to this question is that it is not permissible to suggest this in such a situation or suggest this Sharee’ah ruling in relation to material issues due to two reasons: Firstly, because this story is related to issues of Aqeedah as you have stated today. Secondly, as for the material issues, then Islaam has legislated a system and principle for it. He [i.e. the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)] said, “The burden of proof is on the claimant and an oath is a duty upon the one who denies the claim”. So, there is no room for Mubaahalah in this affair, which Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] legislated in that affair between His Messenger [peace and blessing of Allaah be upon him] and those Christians of the Najran who denied true Islamic Monotheism and persisted on the Trinity. So, this affair is not suggested in another issue besides this because neither is there a narration of the pious predecessors nor a hadeeth regarding it. However, if it must be done, then it can be suggested when two groups of Muslims differ in some ideas or Aqeedah- for example between the Mutazilah and Ahlus Sunnah. It is possible that if some Mu’tazilee is haughty after discussion and after evidences have been presented, then the Sunnee seeks Mubaahalah from him – that may the curse of Allaah be upon the liars. Therefore, it is possible to suggest this in such an affair. [2] But as for the question with regards to suggesting this affair in issues related to material dispute, then this is not permissible. [An Excerpt from ‘Silsilah Al-Hudaa Wan-Noor 703’. Slightly paraphrased]

Usaamah has persisted upon his error and satanic judgement to the extent that even some of the ignorant people are repeating the same judgement against us. All the affairs he has accused us of are related to Creed. We say to him exactly that which Shaikh Abu Iyaad said to lamont Battle: “So I say: Lamont Battle is an ahmaq (fool) and his hamaaqah (foolishness) becomes clearer and clearer to everyone by the day. I will not stoop so low so as to ask him to recant and apologise to me because, judging by his behaviour so far, he does not have that sense of justice and it appears that Shaytaan has gained mastery over his nafs in this issue. So all I will say is that may Allaah’s curse be upon the liar. Whoever is lying, may Allaah’s curse be upon the liar. And if he is truthful, then let him call Allaah to witness and invoke the curse of Allaah upon the liar. I am free and innocent of his evil slander and I have no concern whatsoever with his personal or private affairs”. [3]

Therefore, we also say to Usaamah: Usaamah is an ahmaq (fool) and his hamaaqah (foolishness) becomes clearer and clearer to everyone by the day. We will not stoop so low so as to ask him to recant and apologise to us because, judging by his behaviour so far, he does not have that sense of justice and it appears that Shaytaan has gained mastery over his nafs in this issue. So all we will say is that may Allaah’s curse be upon the liar. Whoever is lying, may Allaah’s curse be upon the liar. And if he is truthful, then let him call Allaah to witness and invoke the curse of Allaah upon the liar. We are free and innocent of his evil slander that we are ahlul bidah, haddaadees, pretenders in our beliefs as Salafiyyoon, hizbiyyoon, and that amongst us are hidden khawaarij etc”.

Any Improvement – at Masjid Al-Furqan Admin (Manchester – Rusholme)- after Reprimanded For Co-operating With Promoters of Mubtadi’ah In 2014?

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Umar [may Allaah be pleased with him] said, The Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said: “People were (sometimes) judged by the revealing of a Divine Inspiration during the lifetime of Allah’s Messenger but now there is no longer any more (new revelation). Now we judge you by the deeds you practice publicly, so we will trust and favour the one who does good deeds in front of us, and we will not call him to account about what he is really doing in secret, for Allah will judge him for that; but we will not trust or believe the one who presents to us with an evil deed even if he claims that his intentions were good”. [Saheeh Al-Bukhaari. Number 2641]

Firstly, 8 years ago, Masjid Al-Furqan’s Admin – an Admin that attributes itself to the Sunnah – was reprimanded for promoting the books of the Takfeeri Sayyid Qutb, even though they desperately tried conceal their crime.

Who is Sayyid Qutb?

http://www.sayyidqutb.com/

http://www.islamagainstextremism.com/articles/jnyihml-leaflet-sayyid-qutb-and-the-ideology-of-al-qaeda-and-isis.cfm

Allaah knows best whether the Admin has removed the books of Sayyid Qutb; but if they have done so, then indeed that is something praiseworthy. However, we cannot confirm whether this has happened, therefore, ask the Salafi brothers at al-Markazus Salafi (Cheemthamhill).

Secondly, 8 years ago, the Admin also allied with Abu Usaamah – a well known promoter of a well known innovator in religion called Abul Hasan Al-Maribi. Abu Usaamah’s affair is well known. Shaikh Abdul Waahid Abu Khadeejah [may Allaah protect him] stated in his refutations against him: “Throughout these articles, the reader should understand that we are refuting a person who has been declared to be upon innovation by the great Scholar Ahmad bin Yahyah an-Najmee (rahimahullaah).

Question: “O Shaykh Ahmad we have with us in America a man called Abu Usaamah who is considered to be from the Du’aat, he aids and supports Abul-Hasan and he calls some noble Salafi brothers ghulaat (extremists), muqallidah (blind followers),and muhqiboon (the people whose religion is the religion of the one they blindly follow), so what is the legislated position from this man and how should we deal with him?

The noble Scholar (rahimahullaah) answered: [موقفكم منه كموقفكم من أهل البدعة , أعرض عنه و اتركه – “Your position with him is the same as your position with the People of Innovation. Turn away from him and abandon him].

http://www.salafitalk.com/threads/1216-A-Response-to-the-Deceit-of-Abu-Usaamah-Khalifah-and-His-LyingTongue

Thirdly, 8 years ago, the Admin allied with another deceiver called Naveed Ayaz. Visit link about him: http://safeshare.tv/w/iNcxYLpAny

At present 2022, the Admin invites Adnaan Abdul Qaadir – a promoter of the Mubtadi Abdur Rahmaan Abdul Khaaliq. Recent article about this affair: https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2022/07/30/adnaan-abdul-qaadir-student-of-the-mubtadi-abdur-rahmaan-abdul-khaaliq-and-affiliate-of-ihyaa-turaath-a-guest-at-markaz-at-tawheed-stoke-masjid-al-furqan-manchester-and-muhammadi-masjid/

Finally, indeed, what is apparent and manifest is that Masjid Furqan’s Admin have persisted in co-operation with those associated with innovators in religious affairs and they would not have invited Adnaan Abdul Qadir – a student of the Mubtadi Abdur Rahmaan Abdul Khaaliq- if that were not the case. You’ve read what Adnaan says about his teacher in the above link (2022 article).

When we demanded nearly 8 years ago that the Admin stop using the name of Sunnah and Salafiyyah to gather numbers through dubious speakers, they accused us of causing splits, even though innovators in the religion are the cause of splits in the Ummah and this Admin continues to ally themselves with people who support innovators, such as their expected guest Adnaan Abdul Qaaadir, who praises the innovator Abdur Rahmaan Abdul Khaaliq. Al-Allaamah Zayd Bin Haadi al-Mad’khali [may Allaah have mercy upon him]said, “The Mubtadi (innovator in religion) is the cause for the splitting, because splitting is connected to innovation and unity (upon the sound creed and methodology of the Salaf) is connected to the Sunnah.  The obligation of refuting the Mukhaalif (the opposer of the truth) is not lifted from the scholar due to anticipation of harm, unless it is harm he is not able to bear.  Then (in this case), Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear.  The earth is not devoid of people of knowledge who will carry out refutation against the Mubtadi and the Mukhaalif.” [Al Ajwibah Al Mukhtasar Alaa As-ila Al-Ashrati pages 43-44]

Imaam Albaani [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “It is not hidden from every Muslim who is acquainted with the Book, the Sunnah and that which our pious predecessors were upon that the Tahazzub (Illegal partisanship) and gathering amongst the groups that carry different views or different methods (of Dawah) has nothing to do with Islaam; rather in many Aayaat of the Qur’aan our Lord (The Mighty and Majestic) has prohibited us from that. Allaah (The Most High) said:

وَلَا تَكُونُواْ مِنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِڪِينَ
مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ فَرَّقُواْ دِينَهُمۡ وَڪَانُواْ شِيَعً۬ا‌ۖ كُلُّ حِزۡبِۭ بِمَا لَدَيۡہِمۡ فَرِحُونَ

”And be not of Al-Mushrikun (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, idolaters, etc.). Of those who split up their religion (i.e. who left the true Islamic Monotheism), and became sects, [i.e. they invented new things in the religion (Bid’ah), and followed their vain desires], each sect rejoicing in that which is with it.” [30: 31-32] [Fataawaa Al-Muhimmah Fee Tabseeril Ummah. Page:118]

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “There is nothing in the Book or the Sunnah that allows different groups and parties; rather that has been censured in the Book and the Sunnah. Allaah (The Most High) said:

فَتَقَطَّعُوٓاْ أَمۡرَهُم بَيۡنَہُمۡ زُبُرً۬ا‌ۖ كُلُّ حِزۡبِۭ بِمَا لَدَيۡہِمۡ فَرِحُونَ

”But they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its belief.” [23:53]

And there is no doubt that these parties oppose that which Allaah has commanded. Allaah (The Most High) said:

إِنَّ هَـٰذِهِۦۤ أُمَّتُكُمۡ أُمَّةً۬ وَٲحِدَةً۬ وَأَنَا۟ رَبُّڪُمۡ فَٱعۡبُدُونِ

”Truly! This, your Ummah [Sharia or religion (Islamic Monotheism)] is one religion, and I am your Lord, therefore worship Me (Alone).” [21:92] [ Fataawaa Al-Muhimmah Fee Tabseeril Ummah. Page:120]

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “It is obligated on the scholars to clarify the reality. They should debate every group and give advice to all, so that they can traverse upon the path Allaah has ordained for His slaves, and the path which His Messenger Muhammad (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) called to. And whoever oversteps this path or remains upon obstinacy, then it is obligatory to expose him”. [Fataawaa Al-Muhimmah Fee Tabseeril Ummah. Page: 116]

“And from the greatest of affairs – in preserving and upholding this Sharee’ah- is to stand firm with knowledge and justice against innovation in religion and the innovators in religion, utilising the paths of the Sharee’ah to oppose their transgressions, repel their plots, manifest the signpost of (sound) allegiance and enmity (for the sake of Allaah), love and hate for the sake of Allaah and putting it into practice. If the harm of innovation in religion was limited to the innovator and not transferred to others, then the affair would have come to an end and the circumstances would have been made easy; however (with regards to the innovation), there is that which harms the innovator, that which harms his followers with regards to following bidah, that which harms the Religion itself and that which harms the Ummah that falls into bidah in its religious affairs. [At-Ta’aqqubaat As-Sareehah Alaa Risaalah An-Naseehah Lid-Duktoor Ibraaheem Ibn Aamir Ar-Ruhayli. Page 58 -By Shaikh Abdullah Al-Bukhaari]

This Admin – once again – is judged based on their companionship, allies and associates. They invited the caller to faslehood (Abu Usaamah) in the past and now they invite Adnaan Abdur Qaaadir. Abu Hurairah (radiyallaahu-anhu) said, the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said, “A person is upon the religion of his friend, so let each one of you look at whom he befriends”. [As-Saheehah: 97] Ibn Mas’ ood (radiyallaahu-anhu) said: Indeed a person walks alongside and accompanies the one whom he loves and who is like him. (Al Ibaanah 2/476] Al A’maah (rahimahullaah) said: They (the Salaf) did not used to ask anything more about a person after having asked about three affairs: Who he walks with, who he enters upon (i.e. visits) and who he associates with amongst the people”. [Al Ibaanah 2/478] Abdullah Ibn Mas’ood (radiyallaahu anhu) said: Make consideration of the (regions of the) earth by the names given to them and make consideration of a person by his companion”. [Ibaanah 2/497] Mu’aadh Bin Mu’aadh said to Yahyah bin Sa’eed, “aa Abaa Sa’eed! A person may hide his viewpoint from us, but he will not be able to hide this in his son or friend or in one whom he sits with”. [ Ibaanah 2/436] [Translated by Spubs]

Imaam Sadi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “Regardless of what you many receive of praise and respect from the people, they judge the people by their associates. Therefore, it is befitting that a person takes pride in accompanying the best of the people and beware of the evil ones. A righteous companion is like a seller of musk; he either gives you some or you get a good smell from him. And the evil companion is like the blower of the bellows, he either burns you or you receive a bad smell from him. And Allaah knows best”. [Noorul Basaa-ir Wal-Albaab Fee Ahkaamil Ibaadaat Wal-Mu-aamalaat Wal-Huqooq Wal-Aadaab: page: 66]

And Allaah knows best.

[6A] Usaamah Al-Utaybi’s – [The Pottymouth Vile Hater Whose Affair Has Reached The Point of Madness] – Pathetic Attempt to Degrade Selfless Al-Maktabatus Salafiyyah

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “Should I not inform you about the best of witnesses, they are those who bear witness before being asked”. The scholars say that what is intended by this hadeeth is for example: someone has a witness to give on behalf of another person based on truth, but the person does not know about it, so he (i.e. the one who should give the witness) informs the person about it; or for example, a person has already passed away and another person knows what the deceased person has left behind as inheritance, so he bears witness to that and makes it known. [For further details see Fat-hul Baari 5/260]

We ask Allaah to include us amongst those who bear witness to truth Aameen. And with regards to Al-Markazus Salafi, then indeed – after the Aid, Assistance and the Tawfeeq granted by Allaah, we have witnessed and are absolutely certain of Al-Maktabatus Salafiyyah’s selfless support and advice upon Salafiyyah – neither demanding any favour nor worldly gains, rather their relationship with us to this day is nothing but Salafiyyah and striving to maintain the sound Walaa Wal Baraa. The incidents of support and advise – both in private and public- are numerous and well-known to us. There was a period during which we did not have single lesson in the Masjid, then came along selfless Al-Maktabatus Salafiyyah represented – at the time – by Shaikh Abu Hakeem and Shaikh Abu Khadeejah, who  visited us once every month, Shaikh Abu Iyaad delivered regular lessons via Telelink and Ustaadh Abu Harun started Madinah Book 1, together with the constant advice given by Shaikh Abdul Ilaah, who had close contact with Abu Eesa (Faizal Kara). So, where is the financial gain for Al-Maktabatus Salafiyyah in all of this?! Indeed, neither did they demand and (have never demanded) a single penny nor personal loyalty to this day, rather their concern has always been Salafiyyah, truthfulness and clarity, even though the vile hater – pottymouth and slanderer (Usaamah Al-Utaybi) – claims that the overseers of Al-Maktabatus Salafiyyah are people who seek Dunya through Dawah Salafiyyah. This affair will be elaborated upon in the next post InShaaAllaah.

An Example of Dedication: Few weeks ago, our beloved Salafi brother Abu Maryam – Tariq [may Allaah protect him and his loved ones Aameen] reminded us of something very important, saying, “Whenever fitnah occurred, I witnessed the worry and concern of the elder teachers, but the firmness and tranquility of the scholars (Al-Allaamah Rabee and others) was something distinguished. I come to know that the reason behind this firmness is due to their certainty and experience, because they’ve witnessed many other Fitan in the past. Then when fitna occurred again, I found myself having the same worry and concern that I witnessed from the elder teachers, but I saw that they had certainty and firmness, so I came to realise that they have learnt this from the scholars throughout the years”. Then Abu Maryam said to us, “I was once with one of the elder teachers during Umrah when he received a phone call from an important personality, who made an unjustified demand related to a specific Manhaj stance, but the elder teacher firmly refused”. May Allaah protect this Maktabah, all the Maraakiz and teachers Aameen.

Finally, we must always remember that not only will the upright Salafi teachers face opponents, but they will also have to deal with the harm of those who betray the truth and those make statements to weaken their resolve when they strive to clarify truth, so we ask Allaah to grant us and them patience, certainty and praiseworthy bravery Aameen. Allaah [The Exalted] said: [فَٱصۡبِرۡ إِنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ۬‌ۖ وَلَا يَسۡتَخِفَّنَّكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُوقِنُونَ – So be patient. Indeed, the promise of Allaah is true. And let not those who have no certainty of faith, discourage you from conveying Allah’s Message (which you are obliged to convey)]. [Surah Rum’ Aayah 60]

[فَٱصۡبِرۡ – So be patient]- Meaning, upon that which you have been commanded and in calling them to the [path of] Allaah; even if you see them turning away that should not turn you away from the call. [إِنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ۬‌ۖ – Indeed, the promise of Allaah is true]- Meaning, there is no doubt about that. And this is from that which aids a person to exercise patience, because when a servant know that his deeds will not be in vain and will find a full reward for it [in the afterlife], then what he faces of hardship will become minor, and it will become much easy for him to bear every difficulty.

[وَلَا يَسۡتَخِفَّنَّكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُوقِنُونَ – And let not those who have no certainty of faith, discourage you]- Meaning, their Imaan is weak and their certainty is little, so their forbearance becomes lacking as result of that and their patience is little. So, beware out of fear of being discouraged by these people, because unless you are not careful about their affair, they will discourage you and lead you to not being firm in holding fast to the commands and prohibitions, and the soul may assist them in this affair and seek to be similar and to be in agreement with them. [An Excerpt from Tafseer as-Sadi. Slightly paraphrased]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: “Everyone will face afflictions, for indeed a person is a social being who must live with [other] people; the people have wants [or desires, wishes etc] and perceptions, and will seek to make him agree with them. If he disagrees with them, they harm and punish him; but if he agrees with them, sometimes they harm him and at other times he is harmed by others”. [An Excerpt from ‘Al-Fawaa’id’ pages 293-300. slightly paraphrased]

Imaam As-Sadi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said stated regarding bravery: Allaah forbade that which is in opposition to it, and that is cowardice, dismay and fear of the creation when striving in the path of calling to Allaah. This sublime quality is innate within the person and it is strengthened by virtue of Eemaan. Bravery strengthens the heart, makes it firm and gives it tranquility in times of important events and distressful situations.

The Qur’aan commands fear of Allaah alone and that the person is not to fear the creation. The person’s heart is strengthened when he limits his fear to fearing Allaah Alone, and knows that the creation neither have the ability to benefit nor harm him, except by the will of Allaah. His heart is increased in strength when he places his reliance upon Allaah and is firm, just as Allaah [The Most High] stated about the best of the creation:

ٱلَّذِينَ قَالَ لَهُمُ ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّ ٱلنَّاسَ قَدۡ جَمَعُواْ لَكُمۡ فَٱخۡشَوۡهُمۡ فَزَادَهُمۡ إِيمَـٰنً۬ا وَقَالُواْ حَسۡبُنَا ٱللَّهُ وَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡوَڪِيلُ

Those unto whom the people said, ”Verily, the people have gathered against you (a great army), therefore, fear them.” But it (only) increased them in Faith, and they said: ”Allaah (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us)” [Surah Aal Imran. Aayah 173]

The slave’s strength and bravery increases when he knows the good reward and recompense that follows on from being strengthened in Bravery and Religion, just as Allaah has stated:

[إِن تَكُونُواْ تَأۡلَمُونَ فَإِنَّهُمۡ يَأۡلَمُونَ كَمَا تَأۡلَمُونَ‌ۖ وَتَرۡجُونَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَرۡجُونَ‌ۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا – If you are suffering (hardships) then surely, they (too) are suffering (hardships) as you are suffering, but you have a hope from Allaah (for the reward, i.e. Paradise) that for which they hope not] (4:104)

And that which is observed and known about the state of affairs and characteristics of the creation is that they neither own anything of benefit nor assistance and protection; they do not desire good for you, except with regards to that which is of benefit to them. Therefore, it must be known that attaching the heart to them with fear, veneration, awe, fervent desire and reverence is tantamount to loss, rather it is harm.

Indeed, it is obligated on a person to attach his fear, hope, expectation and awe to Allaah (Alone), Who (Alone) owns everything. He is The One who wants good for you when you do not desire it for yourself – knows what is for your well-being and you do not know, (and) enables you to receive that which you do not have any ability to (receive by yourself). The person realizes that cowardice is an illness and a weakness in the heart that causes abandonment of good and loss of beneficial things. It afflicts the weak ones, and the one afflicted by it is similar to timid women. And amongst the benefits of bravery are: the commands of Allaah and His Messenger are fulfilled, and (because of it) one is described with the characteristics of the people of insight amongst men of understanding. There cannot be a greater means to obtaining that which is sought after and a means to safety from difficulties and troubles when the heart is strengthened with what Allaah sends down upon it of relief and tranquility. The brave individual is enabled to guide and benefit the creation with wisdom and fair speech in accordance to their different social classes. As for the coward, he misses a great deal of good and fear prevents him from the blessings of his knowledge and from guiding and giving sincere advice to (Allaah’s) servants. A person is saved from a lot of hardships through bravery – finds tranquility when faced with afflictions and calamities, responds with what Allaah loves of patience and firmness, whilst hoping for Allaah’s reward. As for the coward, he is distracted and that which is of benefit to him is wasted away when these affairs come to him. He is made to waiver through harmful views that bring about painful things alongside calamities and difficulties; loses good and the reward for being placed under hardship. This praiseworthy quality (i.e. bravery) emanates from that excellent and all-inclusive quality of patience. And Allaah knows best. We ask Allaah to bless all the teachers in the Maraakiz – in the UK and elsewhere, and bless Ustaadh Abu Mu’aadh for his continuous dedication to beneficial lessons at Al-Markazus Salafi and elsewhere. Indeed, whoever is not thankful to the people will not be thankful to Allaah. Likewise, we ask Allaah to bless both Ustaadh Abdul Hakeem Mitchell for his lessons and our Shorah member [Abu Aa’isha (Amjad Khan)] for his beneficial reminders on issues of Manhaj every Tuesday. We ask Allaah to unite our hearts upon righteousness and piety, and distance us from sin and transgression Aameen. Allaah [The Exalted] said: [ وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ – Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression].

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: This verse contains all the Masaalih (things that will bring about benefit and repel harm) for the salves in their worldly affairs and in the Hereafter- amongst themselves or in relation to their relationship with their Lord. That is because every servant finds himself within two circumstances and obligations – either to fulfil the obligations owed to Allaah or the obligations owed to Allaah’s creation. As for the obligations owed to the creation, they include (righteous) association, companionship, aiding one another upon what Allaah loves and obedience to Allaah, and that is the goal behind one’s search for happiness and success in the afterlife. There can be no happiness in the afterlife except through Bir and Taqwaa, because it is basis of all affairs of the religion.

As for Taqwa, its reality is to act in obedience to Allaah based on Eemaan in Allaah and hoping for Allaah’s Reward- fulfil what Allaah has commanded based on having Eemaan in that which Allaah has commanded and affirming the reward Allaah has promised; abandon what Allaah has forbidden based on one’s belief that what Allaah has forbidden is forbidden and fearing Allaah’s punishment, just as Talq Bin Habeeb [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “When Fitna occurs, extinguish it with Taqwa”. So the people said, “What is Taqwa?” He said, “You act in obedience to Allaah upon a light from Allaah [i.e. Eemaan, sincerity, guidance etc] and hoping for reward from Allah. And you abandon disobedience to Allaah upon a light from Allah and fearing the punishment of Allah”. This is the best of that which has been stated regarding Taqwa, because indeed there has to be an aim and a goal behind every deed. A deed cannot be considered an act of obedience to Allaah and an act that gets one close to Allaah until it is based on Eemaan, so that which leads to the performance of that deed is solely due to Eemaan – neither (un-Islamic) customs nor desires, neither seeking praise nor status and other than it; rather it should be solely based on Eemaan and the aim behind it should be to attain Allaah’s reward and seeking after Allaah’s Pleasure. When Our Beloved Youth ask, “What Happen” After Striving to Follow The Correct Path, But Did Not Attain The Goal?”

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: “The servant should hand over affairs to the One (Allaah) who knows – (perfectly without anything hidden from Him and free is He from all imperfections) – the end result of affairs. He should be pleased with what Allaah chooses and decrees because of the good end result one hopes for- neither make suggestions to Allaah nor give precedence to one’s choice over Allaah’s choice. One should not choose anything over what Allaah chooses; rather one asks Allaah to choose the best and make him (or her) pleased with what has been chosen, because there is nothing more beneficial than this. If one is pleased with Allaah’s choice, then what has been decreed will occur, whilst one is deserving of commendation”. [An Excerpt from Al-Fawaa’id. page 204. slightly paraphrased]

It is stated as part of a supplication: [وَأَسْأَلُكَ الرِّضِا بَعْدَ الْقَضَاءِ – And I ask You (to make me pleased) after (Your) decree]. This is one of the supplications performed after the Tashahud and before the Tasleem. Here is the complete supplication as follows:

O Allah! By Your Knowledge of the unseen and by Your Power over creation, let me live if life is good for me, and let me die if death is good for me; O Allah! I ask You to grant me (the blessing of having) fear of You in private and public; And I ask you (to make me utter) a statement of truth in times of contentment and anger; And I ask You for moderation when in a state of wealth and poverty; And I ask you for blessings that never ceases; And I ask You for the coolness of my eye that never ends; And I ask You (to make me pleased) after (Your) decree; Aand I ask You for a life of (ease, comfort, tranquility etc) after death; I ask You for the delight of looking at Your Face (i.e. in the Hereafter) and yearning to meet You without any harm and misleading trials (coming upon me); O Allah! Adorn us with the adornment of Eemaan, and make us (from those who are) guided and guiding (others). [Silsilah As-Saheehah. Number 1301]

The Four Categories of People and Their Knowledge Regarding Good and Evil, and One of The Reasons Why The Companions Have Excelled Everyone Until The Final Hour!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah [The Exalted] said: [ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ وَلِتَسْتَبِينَ سَبِيلُ الْمُجْرِمِينَ – And thus do We explain the signs (to you O Muḥammad) in detail, and so that the way of the criminals may become evident (to you)] [Surah Al-An’aam. Aayah 55] (1)

Imaam Ibn Katheer [may Allaah have mercy upon him] stated regarding this Aayah: “Allaah [The Exalted] stated that just as He explained what was previously explained of the arguments and evidence on the path of guidance and sound judgement, and censured argumentation and stubbornness; likewise He explain the signs (proofs, evidences, lessons), which those being addressed are in need of; [ولتستبين سبيل المجرمين – and so that the way of the criminals may become evident (to you)], Meaning, so that the path of the criminals – those who oppose the Messengers – may become evident”. (2)

Imaam At-Tabari [may Allaah have mercy upon him] stated regarding the statement of Allaah: [وكذلك نفصل الآيات – And thus do We explain the signs (to you O Muḥammad) in detail]- Meaning, O Muhammad! Just as We have detailed for you in this Surah – from its beginning and introduction up to this point – our proofs and evidences against the idolaters and worshippers of images, and distinguished and clarified it for you; likewise, We explain to you our signs and evidences for every truth denied by the people of falsehood, the sects and other than them, until its truth is distinguished from its falsehood, and its right is distinguished from its wrong. (3)

The Categories of People And Their Knowledge of Good and Evil

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] stated about this Aayah: Those who know Allaah, His Book and His Religion are acquainted with the path of the believers and that of the criminals in detail- the two paths are clearly visible to them, just as a path leading to its destination and the path leading to destruction are made clearly visible. They are the most knowledgeable amongst the creation- the ones who benefit [the people] the most, the ones with the most useful advice and they are an evidence of right guidance. This is why the companions (of Muhammad) have excelled all those to come after them until the Day of Judgment, for indeed they were brought up upon the path of misguidance, shirk and paths leading to destruction, and they knew them in detail; then the Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] came to them and took them out from darkness [an entered them] into complete light- from shirk into Tawheed; from ignorance into knowledge; from misguidance into guidance; from injustice into justice; from confusion and blindness into guidance and clear-sightedness. They knew the worth of that which they received and were triumphant by way of it. [They knew the worth] of that which was contained in what they [received], since what is in opposition to the [truth and right guidance] reveals the goodness of what it opposes, because [upright] affairs are made clear by way of their opposites. So they increased in desire and love of that which they embraced, disliked and hated that which they had turned away from. And of all the people, they had the most love for Tawheed, Imaan and Islaam, and had the most hatred for that which was in opposition to it. They were the most knowledgeable of the path in detail.

As for those who came after the companions, amongst them is that one who was brought up in Islaam but knows not what is in opposition to it. Therefore, some of the details of the path of the believers and that of the criminals became confusing to him, for indeed confusion occurs due to the weakness of one’s knowledge regarding both paths or one of them, as Umar Ibnul Khattaab [may Allaah be pleased with him] said: “The bonds of Islaam will be undone one after the other when a people who grew up in Islaam know not what Jaahiliyyah [Pre-Islamic Ignorance] is.’’ This [statement shows an aspect of] Umar’s perfect knowledge [of Islaam].

And there is that one who is neither acquainted with the path of the criminals nor has it been made clear to him, or he has doubts and thus thinks that some of their ways are from the ways of the believers. This has occurred in this Ummah in many affairs of Aqeedah, Knowledge and Action regarding the path of the criminals, the disbelievers and the enemies of the Messengers, [which] was brought into the path of the believers by the one who does not know the [detailed distinction between] the path of believers and the path of the criminals, so he called to [this path], excommunicate the one in opposition and declares lawful that which Allaah and His Messenger made unlawful, just as what has occurred with many of the people of bidah, such as the Jahmiyyah, the Qadariyyah, the Khawaarij, the Rawaafid and their ilk- among those who initiated an innovation, called to it and excommunicated those who opposed it.

The people are four categories in this subject matter [i.e. the obligation of having knowledge of the path of the believers and that of the criminals in detail].

The First Group: They are those who know the path of the believers and that of the criminals in detail-in both knowledge and action. They are the most knowledgeable amongst the creation.

The Second Group: They are those who are blind to both paths- those resembling animals. The path of the criminals comes [to them] and they follow it.

The Third Group: It is that one who concerns himself with (seeking) knowledge of the path of the believers and not its opposite. He only knows (the path of the criminals) by way of its opposition to the (path of the believers) and in a general way, and [holds] that all that is in opposition to the path of the believers is falsehood, even though that is not illustrated to him in detail. Rather, when he hears some of that which contradicts the path of the believers, he turns away and does not preoccupy himself in understanding and knowing its falsity. This person is in a state (similar) to one who is safeguarded from following desires- whose heart is neither put at risk nor is he called to (such desires), as opposed to those who are aware of (such desires) and their souls are inclined towards them, but they strive against it for the Sake of Allaah. A letter was written to Umar Ibnul Khattaab and he was asked about this affair, as to which of the two men is the better- a man who is not put at risk by way of desires and does not go through its difficulties, or a man who is pushed towards it but abandons it for the Sake of Allaah? Umar wrote back saying: The one who is desirous of sin but abandons it for the Sake of Allaah is from ‘those whose hearts Allaah has tested for piety. For them there is forgiveness and a great reward.’ [Surah Hujuraat. Ayah: 3]

The Fourth Group: This group knows the path of evil, bidah and kufr in detail and the path of the believers in general. This is the situation of many of those who concern themselves with the beliefs of the previous nations and that of the people of bidah. They are acquainted with (these affairs) in detail, but not with what the Messenger came with; rather they are acquainted with it in general even though they may know some of its affairs in detail. Whoever examines their books will see that. Likewise, those who know the paths of evil, oppression and corruption in detail and are followers of it; if they repent, abandon these (affairs) and return to the path of the pious believers, then their knowledge of it will only be general. They will not be acquainted with it in that detailed manner known to those who spend their lives (studying) its regulations and ways. The Objective: Indeed, Allaah (Glorified be He) loves that one should know the path of His enemies in order to avoid and hate it, just as the path of the His allies (close friends) is known and followed. Advice to a 15 Year Old Who Wanted to Seek Knowledge – By Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

The questioner mentions that he is a fifteen-year-old young man and wants to seek Islamic knowledge, so what is your advice? What are the things that he must do and fulil? He says: Bearing in mind that our city has few callers to Islam and students of knowledge.

Response: We advise him to seek knowledge in the schools -intermediate and secondary- opened by the government, or the institutes of knowledge. He strives to reach them (or enrol). And if they have gatherings of knowledge by the judges or others, he attends the gatherings of knowledge if it is available at night or during the day- combining this and this. He enrolls in regular schools and makes effort. He reads to the scholars in his township if they have gatherings of knowledge at night or during the day- attend the gatherings, benefit and strive hard to memorize the Noble Qur’an and memorize beneficial books, such as Kitaab at-Tawheed, Kishf Ash-Shubuhaat, Thalaathah Al-Usool and Qawaa’id Al-Arba’ah by Shaikhul Islaam Muhammad Bin Abdil Wahhaab [may Allaah have mercy upon him], and also Al-Aqeedah Al-Waasitiyyah by Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allaah have mercy upon him]. These are good books that are important to memorize. And books like An-Nawawi’s forty hadeeth and its completion by Ibn Rajab’s Khamseen Hadeeth Min Jawaami Al-Kalim. He memorises these great and beneficial hadiths. In any case, the advice for this young man is that he strive to seek knowledge in regular schools, and from the Shaikhs if he has someone from the Shaikhs to read to in the gatherinsg of knowledge. Indeed, our youth are in UK have easy access to the knowledge that is obligated on every individual to seek. Some have travelled to study Alhamdu lil laah and others have direct access to teachers in the Maraakiz, especially our local Mashaayikh in Birmingham where different subject matters – Aqeedah, Manhaj, Fiqh, Tafseer, Seerah, Hadeeth – are taught from Monday to Saturday. Likewise, there are lessons in various Masaajid and Centres in other Masaajid and Centres. Indeed, this is a great blessing that was not available to many of us 25 years ago. May Allaah bless all the teachers – the elders and youth amongst them, keep them firm, increase them in beneficial knowledge, righteous deeds and pure provision Aameen.

The Best of Our Women and The Worst of Them!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Abu Udhaynah [may Allaah be pleased with him] reported that Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, “The best of your women are the Al-Wadood, Al-Walood (1), the Al-Muwaatiyatu and Al-Muwaasiyatu if they fear Allah. The worst of your women are the Al-Mutabarrijaat and the Mutakhayyilaat, and they are hypocrites. None of them will enter Paradise except as rarely as you see a red-beaked crow”. [Silsilah As-Saheehah. Number 1849]

“The best of your women are the Al-Walood”. Al-Manaawee [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “Meaning, they bear many children”. “Al-Wadood”, meaning, “Loving (and beloved) to her husbands”. “Al-Muwaatiyatu and Al-Muwaasiyatu”– meaning, “Live in harmony with the husband”. “If they fear Allaah” (1.2)- meaning, “They fear and obey Allaah”.

“The worst of your women are the unveiled”– Meaning, “Those who display their beauty to strange men”. (2) “The Mutakhayyilaat”– meaning, “Amazed with themselves and haughty”. “They are hypocrites”, meaning, “They resemble hypocrites”. “None of them will enter Paradise, except as rarely as you a red-beaked crow”– meaning, “The one that is white-winged or with two white legs. What is intended is that few of them will enter paradise, because this description regarding crows is precious due to its (rarity)”. (3) [At-Tayseer Bi-Sharh Al-Jaami As-Sagheer 1/532]

Footnote 1: Allaah is the one Who decides the number of children one will have. Allaah said:

To Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. He creates what He wills. He bestows female (offspring) upon whom He wills, and bestows male (offspring) upon whom He wills. Or He bestows both males and females, and He renders barren whom He wills. Verily, He is the All-Knower and is Able to do all things. [Surah Ash-Shurah. Aayaat 49-50]

Reminder to Those Who Donate to The Masjid Regarding a Paramount Responsibility of Teachers and Khutabaa

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

The Teachers and Khutabaa Have a Responsibility to Speak The Truth and Clarify The Salafi Methodology In all Affairs Whenever Required to Do So – Neither Fearing Blame Nor a Decrease In Masjid Funds

Allaah [The Exalted] informed us about Prophet Nuh [peace be upon him] when he stated that Nuh said to his people: [ وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ – No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)]. [Surah Ash-Shu’araa. Aayah 109] – Meaning, “What I want is to advise you and that you follow the straight path”. (1)

Allaah [The Exalted] informed us about Prophet Hud [peace be upon him] when he stated that Hud said to his people: [ وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ – No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)]. Aayah 127] – Meaning, “I do not ask you for reward for calling you to the (correct path) and for advising you, rather reward is from Allaah – the One Who nurtured you through His blessings”.(2)

Allaah [The Exalted] informed us about Prophet Saaleh [peace be upon him] when he stated that Saaleh said to his people: [ وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ – No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)]. [Surah Ash-Shu’araa. Aayah 145]- Meaning, “Lest you say, ‘We are prevented from following you because you want to take our wealth’, but I do not seek reward except from Allaah”. (3)

Allaah [The Exalted] informed us about Prophet Lut [peace be upon him] when he stated that Lut said to his people: [ وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ – No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)]. [Surah Ash-Shu’araa. Aayah 164]

Allaah [The Exalted] informed us about Prophet Shu’aib [peace be upon him] when he stated that Shu’iab said to his people: [ وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ – No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)]. [Surah Ash-Shu’araa. Aayah 180]

Allaah [The Exalted] informed us about the command He gave to the seal of the Prophets Muhammad [peace be upon him]: [قُل لَّآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ أَجۡرًا إِلَّا ٱلۡمَوَدَّةَ فِى ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ‌ۗ – Say (O Muhammad ): “No reward do I ask of you for this except to be kind to me for my kinship with you”] [Surah Ash-Shuraa. Aayah 23] – Meaning: No reward do I ask you for conveying this Qur’an to you and calling you to follow its rulings. Neither do not want to take your wealth nor be in charge over you and become your leader, nor do I have any other goals, except that you should be kind to me for my kinship with you”. It may be that what is intended behind this Aayah is: I am not asking you for any reward, except one one that is for you and whose benefit returns to you, which that you love me due to the ties of kinship between us, and this is a type of love that is an addition to the love that is based on Imaan, because indeed loving the Messenger – due to Imaan- and giving precedence to loving him over all love besides love of Allaah is obligated on every Muslim. So, the Prophet was asking them for something in addition that they show him love due to kinship, because he embarked upon his call by inviting his closest relatives to Islam, to the extent that it was said that there was none amongst the Quraish except that Messenger had ties of kinship with them. (3)

Therefore, let the maintainers of the Maraakiz neither fear nor compromise when conveying the sound Salafi Methodology. As for those who give so that the gas bill, electricity bill or council tax bill are paid, or so that the Imaam, the Mu’addhin or cleaner are paid, or so that maintenance work is carried out, then indeed that is a mighty Sadaqah Jaariyah InShaaAllaah, and may Allaah reward them with abundant good in this life and the next. So, we strive to give without any ulterior motives, such as desiring that our views are endorsed or that the teachers and Khutabaa should refrain from making a clear distinction between Sunnah and Bidah, between sound unity and false unity, between Salafiyyah and illegal partisanship.

The Salafi teachers and Khutabaa must enjoin good and forbid evil by clarifying the sound Salafi Methodology, exposing the false claimants and warning the people against deviation. If there are Masaajid that oppose the Sunnah of the Prophet or the Methodology of the companions in some issues, then such errors must be warned against so that the people are upon clear-sightedness, otherwise they will be guilty of treachery and sinful concealment. Allaah [The Exalted] said:

[ٱلَّذِينَ يَبۡخَلُونَ وَيَأۡمُرُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ بِٱلۡبُخۡلِ وَيَڪۡتُمُونَ مَآ ءَاتَٮٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ‌ۗ وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا لِلۡڪَـٰفِرِينَ عَذَابً۬ا مُّهِينً۬ا – Those who are miserly and enjoin miserliness on other people and hide what Allah has bestowed upon them of His Bounties. And We have prepared for the disbelievers a disgraceful torment]. [Surah An-Nisaa. Aayah 37] – Meaning: They refrain from fulfilling the rights obligated on them. Enjoin miserliness on other people through their statements and actions, hide what Allaah has bestowed upon them of His Bounties, such as knowledge by way of which the astray are guided and the ignorant ones are led aright. So, they hide it from them and make apparent to them falsehood that comes between them and the truth. So, they have gathered between miserliness with regards to wealth and knowledge, and between hastening towards loss for themselves and for others. (4)

The Vessels and Waterskins at Night

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Jaabir Bin Abdillaah [may Allaah be pleased with him and his father] said, “I heard Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] saying, ‘Cover the vessels and tie up the water skins, because indeed there is a night during the year when pestilence descends, and it does not pass an uncovered vessel or an untied water-skin, except that some of that pestilence descends into it'”. [Saheeh Muslim 2014]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “This is one of those affairs which the sciences of doctors and their knowledge cannot reach. It is known by way of experience to those who know it amongst the people of sound intelligence”. [At-Tibb An-Nabawiy. page 173]
