Regular Supererogatory Good Deeds- Even If Little- Has More Virtue than Doing a Lot But Not Continuous

The Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said:

”The Most beloved deeds to Allaah are that which (a person does) continuously even if little”. [Ref 1]

Short Faa’idah from Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah):

Righteous deeds (i.e. supererogatory deeds) -even if little- performed regularly are better than performing a lot of deeds that are not regular. [Ref 2]

Faa’idah from Shaikh Muhammad Baazmool (may Allaah preserve him):

The hadeeth shows that a Muslim should limit himself to the acts of worship he is able perform (i.e. supererogatory deeds) and what is understood from this is a prohibition against imposing on himself (supererogatory deeds) which he is not able to perform. [Ref 3:]

Fajr Is Still Very Early! -[Fiqh Derived From a Hadeeth About Using An (Alarm) Clock to Help Us Wake Up etc]

It is reported in a hadeeth in Muwatta Imaam Maalik that the Messenger (sallal laahu alayhi wasallam) travelled by night on the way back from khaybar and towards the end of the night he stopped for a rest and said to Bilaal (radiyallaahu-anhu), “(Stay awake) to watch out for the morning (prayer) for us…..’’ [Ref 1]

Shaikh Muhammad Baazmool  (may Allaah preserve him) said, “What is the evidence behind the permissibility for a person -before he (or she) sleeps- to watch out for the time by way of (an alarm) clock in order to be notified of (the time of the Salaah)? The evidence is that the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) sought from Bilaal (radiyallaahu-anhu) to guard the time for them, saying,”(Stay awake) to watch out for the morning (prayer) for us”. [Ref 2]

Saudi King Abdul Azeez: We Are Ready to Accept Advice From Anyone Who Gives It From The Book and The Sunnah!

Saudi King Abdul Azeez (rahimahullaah) said: Every person who has an advice (Ref 1) for us from the Book (i.e. the Qur’aan) or the Sunnah, we are ready at all times -whether (that advice) is from an elder or young person, a person of noble status or a person (considered) to be of low status. Whoever wants us to oppose anything from that (i.e. what the Book and Sunnah obligates), we will never accept it, for indeed Allaah commanded us to follow the Islamic legislation and that we adhere to it with our molar teeth (i.e. firmly adhere to it); so whoever is angry with us due to us adhering to our religion, then let him be angry with us as long as he wills. [Slightly Paraphrased. Source: Haqeeqah Manhaj Al-Mamlakah Al-Arabiyyah As-Su’oodiyyah’ pages 26-27′ by Shaikh Muhammad Baazmool]

Saudi King Abdul Azeez Pointed Out That Religion Must Be Established Based on Proof!

King Abdul Azeez (rahimahullaah) said:

As for the pious predecessors – the rightly guided caliphs [i.e. AbuBakr, Umar, Uthman & Ali or the four upright Imaams (i.e. Abu Haneefah, Maalik, Ahmad & Shaafi’ee)] – indeed we follow them. And whoever has other than that then let him clarify it for us so that we establish the proofs.

Caring Non-Muslim Doctor Advised Me To Make Sure That My Children Clean Their Tongues Regularly; I Said, ‘’This Is From The Authentic Sunnah’’

Narrated Abu Burdah (radiyallaahu-anhu): “I came to the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) and saw him carrying a Siwaak in his hand and cleaning his teeth, saying, ‘’U’’ ‘’U‟, as if he was retching while the Siwaak was in his mouth”. [Bukhaari Vol 1. Hadeeth Number 244]

In the narration of Abu Moosaa (radiyallaahu-anhu): ‘’I entered upon the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) and the edge of the Siwaak was on his tongue’’. [Saheeh Muslim Number: 592]

Imaam Sadi (rahimahullaah) said: In this (hadeeth) is (proof) that the siwaak can be (used) on the tongue, just as it can be (used) on the gums and the teeth. [Sharh Umdatul Ahkaam’ page 69. 1st edition Dar At-Tawheed 2010/ 1431]

Reminder: The Importance of Marriage

Kitaab An-Nikaah, Saheeh Bukhaari Vol: 7; Hadith Number:5065

Chapter: The Statement of the Prophet (sallal’laahu’alayhi’wasallam)

‘Whoever is able to marry, should marry, for that will help him lower his gaze and guard his modesty (i.e. his private parts from committing illegal sexual intercourse etc.).’  And should a person marry (even if) he has no desire for marriage?

Narrated ‘Alqamah: while I was with Abdullaah, uthman met him at Mina and said, ‘O Abu Abdur-Rahmaan! I have something to say to you.’ So both of them went aside and uthmaan said, ‘O Abu Abdur-Rahmaan!  Shall we marry you to a virgin who will make you remember your past days?  When Abdullaah felt that he was not in need of that, he beckoned me (to join him) saying, ‘O Alqamah’  Then I heard him saying (in reply to uthmaan), ‘As you have said that, (I tell you that) the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) once said to us, ‘O young people! Whoever among you is able to marry, should marry, and whoever is not able to marry, is recommended to observe fast as fasting will diminish his sexual power’.

Shaikh Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) stated:

Therefore, to get marriage is the correct (thing to do) as a complete obligation upon the one who has shahwa (sexual desires) even if he is not in fear of falling to Zinaa.  This is with regards to the one whose situation allows him to get married.  And in this is a (manifestation) of Uthman’s righteous moral conduct.  It (shows) that the elderly person can get married as long as he has the strength for sexual relations. And the main address (in this hadith) is directed at the young people because in most cases they possess stronger desires and are more in need of that (i.e. fulfilment of such desires).

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

The Imaam Rabee bin Haadi Al Madkhalee – May Allah preserve him – said:

Be Warned O Gullible and Naive One! [A Man Became Misguided After Marrying a Woman Who Was Staunch On Bidah!]

Imaam Dhahabee (rahimahullaah) stated that Salamah Bin Alqamah relates from Ibn Seereen (rahimahullaah) who said: Imraan Ibn Hattaan married a khaarijiyyah (a female khaarijite) and said, ‘’I will bring her back’’ (i.e. make her leave her misguidance). Ibn Seereen (rahimahullaah) said: ‘’However, she converted him to her way.’’
