Saudi King Abdul Azeez: We Are Ready to Accept Advice From Anyone Who Gives It From The Book and The Sunnah!

Saudi King Abdul Azeez (rahimahullaah) said: Every person who has an advice (Ref 1) for us from the Book (i.e. the Qur’aan) or the Sunnah, we are ready at all times -whether (that advice) is from an elder or young person, a person of noble status or a person (considered) to be of low status. Whoever wants us to oppose anything from that (i.e. what the Book and Sunnah obligates), we will never accept it, for indeed Allaah commanded us to follow the Islamic legislation and that we adhere to it with our molar teeth (i.e. firmly adhere to it); so whoever is angry with us due to us adhering to our religion, then let him be angry with us as long as he wills. All praise is due to Allaah. The Salafiyyoon are serious people and they do not entertain the foolishness of any caller to deviation. Some misguided young fools have adopted a methodology for themselves related to debate – arguing, speculating, jesting and causing confusion- yet they seek to attribute this foolishness of theirs to knowledge and the way of the Salaf.

Indeed, a serious person who truly desires insight into affairs of knowledge should neither enter into what he is not worthy of nor should he approach any affair of the religion based on ignorance. Therefore, we remind ourselves and our younger brothers and sisters that time is precious and short, so let us spend it in what will increase us in sound understanding and righteous deeds.

As this subject matter regarding debate is one that some have entered into due to ignorance and short-sightedness, we remind ourselves and our younger brothers and sisters that we educate ourselves on this subject matter if possible – not for the purpose of debating, rather we learn based on proof and insight in order to safeguard ourselves from the methodology of those foolish ones.

Here are a series of lectures by Ustaadh Abu Hakeem (may Allaah preserve him) regarding the principles of debate. [5] The Blessing of Security’ By Shaikh Muhammad Baazmool

Those Evil Affairs That Befalls both Individuals and Society When Security Is Loss

Firstly: The disappearance of the Jamaa’ah leads to disappearance of (the sound) religion; then the evil people will overpower the good people. The people of corruption and falsehood become stronger than the people of uprightness and truth. The corrupters hasten to spread corruption in the earth – spreading terror and fear- and fear is instilled in the hearts of the people…

Secondly: People are hindered from the affairs of their (daily) lives -businesses close and the schools that were opened to teach the young and old are deserted; (people are) hindered from work and trade becomes stagnant.

Thirdly: It may lead to deterioration in some people’s (mental wellbeing) and thus may either lead to insanity or suicide etc This is the hardship a person exposes himself to due to abandoning Allaah’s Sharee’ah.  [Allaah said]:

وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَن ذِكْرِي فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكًا وَنَحْشُرُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَعْمَىٰ

But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur’an nor acts on its orders, etc.) verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection. [20:124]

Fourthly: It leads a person to fall into trial. Allaah (The Most High) said:

فَلْيَحْذَرِ الَّذِينَ يُخَالِفُونَ عَنْ أَمْرِهِ أَن تُصِيبَهُمْ فِتْنَةٌ أَوْ يُصِيبَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

And let those who oppose the Messenger’s (Muhammad) commandment (i.e. his Sunnah legal ways, orders, acts of worship, statements, etc.) (among the sects) beware, lest some Fitnah (disbelief, trials, afflictions, earthquakes, killing, overpowered by a tyrant, etc.) befall them or a painful torment be inflicted on them. [End of Ayah (24:63)] and that is the Fitna of lowly desires and the fitna of doubts in one’s religious affairs.

Fiftly: Fear replaces security in different ways; so political security, economic security, social security and physical well-being are loss, and (likewise) protection against (corrupt ideas and thoughts).

Sixthly: Human life will be given no value, so a person is killed but will not know why he was killed and the one who killed him will not know why he really killed.

Narrated ‘Abdullãh and Abu Moosaa: ‘’The Prophet said, “Near the establishment of the Hour there will be days during which general ignorance will spread, (religious) knowledge will be taken away (vanish) and there will be much Al-Harj, and Al-Harj means killing.’’ [Bukhaari Number 7065]

Abu Huraira reported Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) as saying: The world would not come to an end until a day would come to the people on which the murderer would not know as to why he has killed and the slain would not know as to why he has been murdered. It would be said: Why would it happen? To which he replied: It would be because of general massacre and bloodshed. And the slaughterers and the slain would be in Fire. [Sahih Muslim Number 2908]

Seventhly: Oppression will be widespread in the earth and the oppressor will not be stopped. The best of us will supplicate to Allaah but it will not be answered due to (the presence of) too much wickedness.

A Short Notification to The Who Says, ‘’Why can’t we consider people in other countries to be scholars when it is the case that….

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Some people – (especially some of those who think that a person they consider to be knowledgeable is not being given his right status) – argue that why can’t we consider people in some other countries to be scholars when it is the case that they graduated and have been teaching for over twenty years just like their classmates who are now considered to be scholars?! We say to them, ‘’The scholars are declared to be scholars by those who are qualified to give them such a title. It is not left to me (a commoner) or yourself [a commoner; (unless am unaware that you have reached the level of those who are qualified to decide who is worthy of being called a scholar or not)]; rather there are those qualified to give this verdict based on what they know about the one they regard to be from the scholars. Grammatical Errors of the Muhadditheen- In Writing and Speech-Is Not a Reason to Rebuke Their Aqeedah or Manhaj

Ismaaeel Bin Abee Khalid [rahimahullaah] was a Taabi’ee and he used to make absurd mistakes in his speech! He used to say: [حدثني فلان عن أبوه ]; rather the correct statement should be [حدثني فلان عن أبيه]

Steadfastness upon the Sunnah’ by Shaikh Rabee (may Allaah preserve him)

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaamah Rabee Ibn Haadee Al-Madkhalee (may Allaah preserve him) stated:

Indeed steadfastness upon the Sunnah means steadfastness upon Islaam in its entirety; it’s Usool (Foundations), its Furoo’ (Branches), it’s Aqaa’id (affairs of creed, belief); it’s Manaahij (Methodologies).  We (must) remain steadfast upon it and we (must) hold tightly onto it, up until we meet Allaah (The Blessed and Most High).

And indeed the Aayaat concerning the religious obligations of ittibaa’ (following), iltizaam (adhering), i’tisaam (clinging) and istiqaamah (steadfastness) are many. And Ahaadeeth likewise, all of which point towards one goal or aim and this is the steadfastness of the Muslimeen upon Islaam.

And if one were to speak about steadfastness upon the Sunnah, it is not that which is understood by the majority of the people with regards to the word Sunnah, rather its intent here is Aqeedah and Manhaj, meaning Islaam, meaning steadfastness upon Islaam.

This Steadfastness is from the Tawfeeq of Allaah. Tawfeeq is in His Hands and guidance is in His Hands, and misguidance is in His Hands. He guides whomsoever He wishes; misguides whomsoever He wishes; keeps steadfast (the hearts) of whom He wishes and deviates the hearts of whomsoever He wishes. And due to this, Allaah (The Blessed and Most High) informed us to supplicate to Him so that He may not deviate our hearts; [ رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ  -(They say): “Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate (from the truth) after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from You. Truly, You are the Bestower. (3:8)]

And the Sahaabah, radhiyallaahu-Anhum said:  “By Allaah! If it were not for Him, we would not have been guided, We would not have given(in charity), nor would we have prayed”.[1] Meaning, they (the companions) knew and understood that Guidance from Allaah (The Most High) was a blessing and a virtue from Him, and a mercy from Him to whomsoever He selects from His Servants.

يَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِهِ مَن يَشَاءُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ

“He selects for His Mercy (Islam and the Quran with Prophethood) whom He wills and Allah is the Owner of Great Bounty”. [3:74]

He (Glorified and Exalted Be He) blesses whom He wishes and gives virtue to whomsoever He wishes with His Guidance. He gives them Good and He grants them Tawfeeq and blesses them with His protection from deviation and misguidance.

The statement ‘He Misguides whom he Wills’: The misguidance here refers to complete misguidance, such as kufr and (one’s) exiting from (the fold of) Islaam – We seek Refuge with Allaah (The Most High) from that. And as for the Partial misguidance: This refers to the misguidance of one who enters into Islaam and he then deviates in his Aqeedah (beliefs) and in his Manhaj (Methodology) – We seek refuge with Allaah from that. In-Shaa-Allaah Part 2 of this series will be based on acquainting ourselves with deviant individuals of Ihyaa Turaath and their statements of misguidance in affairs of Manhaj and Aqeedah, so that it may become very clear that Shaikh Abdur Razzaaq Al-Badr’s unawareness of the true reality of Ihya Turaath cannot be taken into consideration as an excuse to promote Ihya Turaath or to turn a blind eye to the reality, rather a seeker of truth seeks after the clear proofs, as Shaikh Ubaid stated: The one who knows of a mistake and it is clear to him, then it is not permissible for him to blindly follow a scholar to whom an affair is hidden. And indeed you already heard yesterday that the scholars are not infallible in their Ijtihaadaat. Therefore, it is not permissible to adopt them (i.e. the mistakes of the scholars) as a methodology (to follow).
