[1] Communications Between The Noble Messenger And The Kings, Rulers- [Brief Lessons For The Freedom of Speech Worshippers – (The Vile Slanderers, Immoral Cartoonists And Militant Secularists)]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

“In the name of Allah the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy.

(This letter is) from Muhammad the slave of Allaah and His Messenger to Heraclius the ruler of Byzantine. Peace be upon him who follows the right path. Furthermore I invite you to Islam, and if you become a Muslim you will be safe, and Allah will double your reward, and if you reject this invitation of Islam you will be committing a sin by misguiding your Arisiyin (peasants). (And I recite to you Allah’s Statement:)

Say (O Muhammad): “O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): Come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but Allah, and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allah. Then, if they turn away, say: “Bear witness that we are Muslims]. [Surah Aal Imraan. Aayah 64]

Ibn Abbaas [radiyallaahu-anhumaa] said:

Abu Sufyan bin Harb [radiyallaahu-anhu] informed me that Heraclius had sent a messenger to him while he had been accompanying a caravan from Quraish. They were merchants doing business in Sham (Syria, Palestine, Lebanon and Jordan), at the time when Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) had truce with Abu Sufyan and Quraish infidels. So Abu Sufyan and his companions went to Heraclius at Ilya (Jerusalem). Heraclius called them in the court and he had all the senior Roman dignitaries around him. He called for his translator who, translating Heraclius’s question said to them, “Who amongst you is closely related to that man who claims to be a Prophet?” Abu Sufyan replied, “I am the nearest relative to him (amongst the group).”

Heraclius said, “Bring him (Abu Sufyan) close to me and make his companions stand behind him.” Abu Sufyan added, Heraclius told his translator to tell my companions that he wanted to put some questions to me regarding that man (The Prophet) and that if I told a lie they (my companions) should contradict me.” Abu Sufyan added, “By Allah! Had I not been afraid of my companions labelling me a liar, I would not have spoken the truth about the Prophet.

Abu Sufyaan said: The first question he asked me about him was:

‘What is his family status amongst you?’

I replied, ‘He belongs to a good (noble) family amongst us.’

Heraclius further asked, ‘Has anybody amongst you ever claimed the same (i.e. to be a Prophet) before him?’

I replied, ‘No.’

He said, ‘Was anybody amongst his ancestors a king?’

I replied, ‘No.’

Heraclius asked, ‘Do the nobles or the poor follow him?’

I replied, ‘It is the poor who follow him.’

He said, ‘Are his followers increasing decreasing (day by day)?’

I replied, ‘They are increasing.’

He then asked, ‘Does anybody amongst those who embrace his religion become displeased and renounce the religion afterwards?’

I replied, ‘No.’

Heraclius said, ‘Have you ever accused him of telling lies before his claim (to be a Prophet)?’

I replied, ‘No. ‘

Heraclius said, ‘Does he break his promises?’

I replied, ‘No. We are at truce with him but we do not know what he will do in it.’ I could not find opportunity to say anything against him except that.

Heraclius asked, ‘Have you ever had a war with him?’

I replied, ‘Yes.’

Then he said, ‘What was the outcome of the battles?’

I replied, ‘Sometimes he was victorious and sometimes we.’

Heraclius said, ‘What does he order you to do?’

I said, ‘He tells us to worship Allah and Allah alone and not to worship anything along with Him, and to renounce all that our ancestors had said. He orders us to pray, to speak the truth, to be chaste and to keep good relations with our Kith and kin.’

Heraclius asked the translator to convey to me the following, I asked you about his family and your reply was that he belonged to a very noble family. In fact all the Apostles come from noble families amongst their respective peoples. I questioned you whether anybody else amongst you claimed such a thing, your reply was in the negative. If the answer had been in the affirmative, I would have thought that this man was following the previous man’s statement. Then I asked you whether anyone of his ancestors was a king. Your reply was in the negative, and if it had been in the affirmative, I would have thought that this man wanted to take back his ancestral kingdom.

I further asked whether he was ever accused of telling lies before he said what he said, and your reply was in the negative. So I wondered how a person who does not tell a lie about others could ever tell a lie about Allah. I, then asked you whether the rich people followed him or the poor. You replied that it was the poor who followed him. And in fact all the Apostle have been followed by this very class of people. Then I asked you whether his followers were increasing or decreasing. You replied that they were increasing, and in fact this is the way of true faith, till it is complete in all respects. I further asked you whether there was anybody, who, after embracing his religion, became displeased and discarded his religion. Your reply was in the negative, and in fact this is (the sign of) true faith, when its delight enters the hearts and mixes with them completely. I asked you whether he had ever betrayed. You replied in the negative and likewise the Apostles never betray. Then I asked you what he ordered you to do. You replied that he ordered you to worship Allah and Allah alone and not to worship anything along with Him and forbade you to worship idols and ordered you to pray, to speak the truth and to be chaste. If what you have said is true, he will very soon occupy this place underneath my feet and I knew it (from the scriptures) that he was going to appear but I did not know that he would be from you, and if I could reach him definitely, I would go immediately to meet him and if I were with him, I would certainly wash his feet.’ Heraclius then asked for the letter addressed by Allah’s Apostle

which was delivered by Dihya to the Governor of Busra, who forwarded it to Heraclius to read. The contents of the letter were as follows: “In the name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful (This letter is) from Muhammad the slave of Allah and His Apostle to Heraclius the ruler of Byzantine. Peace be upon him, who follows the right path. Furthermore I invite you to Islam, and if you become a Muslim you will be safe, and Allah will double your reward, and if you reject this invitation of Islam you will be committing a sin by misguiding your Arisiyin (peasants). (And I recite to you Allah’s Statement:)

‘O people of the scripture! Come to a word common to you and us that we worship none but Allah and that we associate nothing in worship with Him, and that none of us shall take others as Lords beside Allah. Then, if they turn away, say: Bear witness that we are Muslims (those who have surrendered to Allah).’ (3:64).

Abu Sufyan then added, “When Heraclius had finished his speech and had read the letter, there was a great hue and cry in the Royal Court. So we were turned out of the court. I told my companions that the question of Ibn-Abi-Kabsha) (the Prophet (ﷺ) Muhammad) has become so prominent that even the King of Bani Al-Asfar (Byzantine) is afraid of him. Then I started to become sure that he (the Prophet) would be the conqueror in the near future till I embraced Islam (i.e. Allah guided me to it).”

The sub narrator adds, “Ibn An-Natur was the Governor of llya’ (Jerusalem) and Heraclius was the head of the Christians of Sham. Ibn An-Natur narrates that once while Heraclius was visiting ilya’ (Jerusalem), he got up in the morning with a sad mood. Some of his priests asked him why he was in that mood? Heraclius was a foreteller and an astrologer. He replied, ‘At night when I looked at the stars, I saw that the leader of those who practice circumcision had appeared (become the conqueror). Who are they who practice circumcision?’ The people replied, ‘Except the Jews nobody practices circumcision, so you should not be afraid of them (Jews). ‘Just Issue orders to kill every Jew present in the country.’

While they were discussing it, a messenger sent by the king of Ghassan to convey the news of Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) to Heraclius was brought in. Having heard the news, he (Heraclius) ordered the people to go and see whether the messenger of Ghassan was circumcised. The people, after seeing him, told Heraclius that he was circumcised. Heraclius then asked him about the Arabs. The messenger replied, ‘Arabs also practice circumcision.’

(After hearing that) Heraclius remarked that sovereignty of the ‘Arabs had appeared. Heraclius then wrote a letter to his friend in Rome who was as good as Heraclius in knowledge. Heraclius then left for Homs (a town in Syrian and stayed there till he received the reply of his letter from his friend who agreed with him in his opinion about the emergence of the Prophet (ﷺ) and the fact that he was a Prophet. On that Heraclius invited all the heads of the Byzantines to assemble in his palace at Homs. When they assembled, he ordered that all the doors of his palace be closed. Then he came out and said, ‘O Byzantines! If success is your desire and if you seek right guidance and want your empire to remain then give a pledge of allegiance to this Prophet (i.e. embrace Islam).’

(On hearing the views of Heraclius) the people ran towards the gates of the palace like onagers but found the doors closed. Heraclius realized their hatred towards Islam and when he lost the hope of their embracing Islam, he ordered that they should be brought back in audience.

(When they returned) he said, ‘What already said was just to test the strength of your conviction and I have seen it.’ The people prostrated before him and became pleased with him, and this was the end of Heraclius’s story (in connection with his faith). [Ref 1]

A Brief Benefit And Admonition In The Above The Narration For The Cartoonists

Abu Sufyan added, “By Allah! Had I not been afraid of my companions labelling me a liar, I would not have spoken the truth about the Prophet.

Imaam Ibn Hajr [rahimahullaah] stated in Fat-hul Baari that this shows that they [i.e. the pagan Arabs] used to abhor lying [or used to consider it to be an ugly deed]- either based on what they followed from the previous revealed laws [i.e. the path of Ibraaheem (alayhis-salaam) etc] or it was something abhorred in their customs. [An Excerpt. For further details, see Fat-hul Baari]

Indeed, the Arabs abhorred lying, but the cartoonists and those leaders who support them fabricate lies in he name of freedom of speech! These cartoonists and their leaders are the same ones claiming that they are civilized, yet they are not even decent enough to abandon lying in public. Also their double standards is clearly witnessed by everyone whilst they claim to be flag-bearers of freedom of speech. They strongly object to the statements of those who belittle their wives, but support those who desperately seek to belittle the noble Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam].

Purification of The Heart Can Only Be Attained Through Giving Precedence to Allaah Over Desires!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] said:

A slave is not afflicted with a punishment greater than the hardness of the heart and being distanced from Allaah. The farthest hearts from Allaah are the hardened hearts, and when the heart is hardened, the eyes become lacking in (discernment, perception, crying out of fear of Allaah etc). The hardness of the heart occurs due to four [affairs] when their limit is exceeded: Food, sleep, speech and mixing [with the people]. And just as the diseased body is not benefited by food and drink, likewise the heart is not benefited by admonitions when it is afflicted with [evil] desires. Whoever desires purification of his heart then let him give precedence to Allaah over his desires. The heart that is attached to desires is veiled from Allaah depending on the strength of its attachment to [such desires]. [Ref 1]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] also said:

The heart does get sick just as the body gets sick and its cure is found in repentance and bring keen [to obey Allaah and the Messenger etc]. The heart does become rusty just as a mirror becomes rusty, and remembrance of Allaah polishes it. The heart does become unadorned just as the body, and fear of Allaah beautifies it. The heart does suffer from discomfort just as the body suffers from discomfort due to hunger, and its food and drink are knowledge and awareness of Allaah, love of Allaah, reliance upon Allaah, turning sincerely to Allaah in repentance and obedience with Tawheed, and carrying out acts of obedience to Allaah. [Ref 2]

Imaam Ibn Qudaamah [rahimahullaah] said:

Know that every limb was created to perform a specific action, so a sign of its [i.e. any limb] sickness is when guilt is established due to performing [an evil] act. A sign of the hand’s sickness is when it is guilty of striking unlawfully; a sign of eye’s sickness is when it is guilty of staring unlawfully; a sign of the heart’s sickness is when it is guilty of not doing what it was created for, such as acquiring knowledge and wisdom; love of Allaah, worshiping Allaah alone and preferring that over every other desire. Therefore, if a person was to possess knowledge of everything but he does not know Allaah (Gloried be He), then it is as if he knew nothing.  The sign of knowing Allaah is to love Allaah, for whoever truly knows Allaah will love Allaah, and a sign of having love for Allaah is that one does not give precedence to anything over Allaah. So whoever prefers something from the beloved things over Allaah, then his heart is sick, just like the stomach that prefers mud and not bread, due to losing the desire for bread. [Ref 3]

Seek Allaah’s Refuge Against Sin And Debt!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Aa’isha [radiyallaahu-anhaa] narrated that the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] used to invoke Allaah in the salaah [before the Tasleem] saying:

O Allaah, I seek refuge with You from the punishment of the grave and from the trial and affliction of Maseeh Ad-Dajjaal and from trial and affliction of life and death. O Allaah, I seek refuge with You from sins and from being in debt.” So somebody said to him, ‘’Why do you so frequently seek refuge with Allaah from being in debt?’’ The Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) replied, “A person in debt tells lies whenever he speaks, and breaks promises whenever he makes (them)]”. [Ref 1]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] said: The Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] combined [in this supplication between seeking Allaah’s refuge] from sins and debt, for indeed sins necessitate loss in the afterlife and debt necessitates loss in the worldly life. [Ref 2]

Five Things That Will Earn a Person Allaah’s Love

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Ubaadah Bin Saamit [radiyallaahu-anhu] said that he heard the Messenger of Allaah [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] saying that Allaah [The Most High] said:

حقَّت محبتي للمتحابين فيَّ

وحقت محبتي للمتواصلين في

وحقت محبتي للمتزاورين في

وحقت محبتي للمتباذلين في

My love is assured for two (people) who love one another for My Sake. My love is assured for two (people) who maintain ties with one another for My Sake. My love is assured for two (people) who visit one another for My Sake and My love is assured for two (people) who help one another (financially) for My Sake. [Ref 1]

And in another version reported by Ibn Hibbaan: [وحقت محبتي للمتناصحين في   – And my love is assured for two (people) who advise one another for My Sake. [Ref 2]

A Man’s Knowledge Regarding The Feelings of His Wife In different Situations, Whilst Sincere Love And Respect Is Maintained Between Them

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Aa’isha [may Allaah be pleased with her] narrated that Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said to her, “I know when you are pleased with me or angry with me”. I said, “When do you know that?” He said, “When you are pleased with me, you say, ‘No, by the Lord of Muhammad,’ but when you are angry with me, then you say, ‘No, by the Lord of Abraaheem.’ ” Thereupon I said, “Yes, (certainly, you are right); but by Allaah, O Allaah’s Messenger, I do not leave anything else besides your name”.

Benefits From This Hadeeth

  • A man’s thorough observation regarding the state of a woman due to her action, speech, inclination or lack of inclination towards him based on indications, because the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] firmly determined Aa’Isha’s  [may Allaah be pleased with her] happiness or anger merely when she mentioned or refrain from mentioning his name; therefore, he judged the two situations based on the mention or the absence of a mention of his name as an indication of happiness or anger. It can also be definitely the case that there is something more explicit regarding this affair, but he did not say it.
  • And regarding the statement of Aa’Isha, “Yes (certainly, you are right); but by Allaah, O Allaah’s Messenger, I do not leave anything else besides your name”. At-Teebee said, “This is a very subtle way of making an exception, because she related that when she is in a state of anger – a state in which a sane person loses his senses by choice, her affirmed love for the Messenger does not change.
  • Ibnul Muneer said, “What Aa’isha intended is that she left out the wording of the Prophet’s name but her heart’s pure love and affection towards the noble person of the Prophet does not leave her.
  • And with regards to the choice Aa’Isha made to use Prophet Ibraaheem’s [peace be upon him] name instead of the other Prophet’s, this is proof regarding her intelligence, because the Prophet is the one with the best claim to Ibraaheem just as Allaah stated in the Qur’an. Therefore, when she had no other way of leaving a noble name, she replaced it with the name of someone who is from the one whose name she left out, so that her heart does not exit the boundaries of that attachment.

Living With Non-Muslims In The West: With Fine Conduct

https://www.abukhadeejah.com/living-with-non-muslims-in-the-west-with-fine-conduct/

Al-Allaamah Zayd Bin Haadi Al-Madkhali [rahimahullaah] said:

Protests [or demonstrations] are newly invented matters in the religion. Every newly invented matter in the religion is a bidah; every bidah is misguidance and every misguidance is in the hell fire [i.e. is a path leading to the hell fire]. Allaah’s legislation is perfect and complete-based on The Book and The Sunnah-and we do not know of anything by way of the evidences in the Book and the Sunnah that makes it permissible for a handful of people to gather for demonstrations, which causes disturbance for the people and time wasting. And greater than this [disturbance and time wasting] is abandonment of the prayers [during protests] and the loss of life [i.e. murder]. If one was to kill a Muslim in a single protest, the one [or those] who called to such protests will carry his sins-be it an individual, a group or those who participate. It has been reported in an authentic hadeeth: The termination of the world means less to Allah than the killing of a Muslim [i.e. without right]. [Saheeh Al-Jaami 9208]

These protests are nothing but bidah and acts of misguidance advocated by shaytaan; [enticed] by the urge of the evil soul and desires. And these enemies [i.e. shaytaan, the urge of the evil soul and desires] do not come together in any affair except that the religion and worldly affairs are destroyed, just as it is the case in these demonstrations [or protests].

The end results of protests [or demonstrations]: Carnage, destruction, wastage of wealth and time and terrorising those living in peace. And how many disadvantages are there in [that]! It is enough to be considered something sinister due to the fact that the Noble Messengers and the Great Prophets who were put to trial and harmed by their people did not hold protests [or demonstrations]. Neither did they engage in plotting to cause explosions nor committing suicide; rather Islaam has forbidden all of that.

Those who call to protests [or demonstrations] and hold that there is success in it, they are mistaken and they have missed the correct path. Rectification of the affairs can only be by way of the Book and The Sunnah in accordance with the understanding of those scholars who are firmly grounded in knowledge. So whoever calls the people to this chaos, then indeed he has brought about a means to corrupting the land and the slaves, and what has occurred – in the past and at present- is a witness to that.

Therefore, we warn the students of knowledge that they are not persuaded by the speech of those who allow protests [or demonstrations]. They say that peaceful demonstrations are permissible-as they categorise it into this categorisation- without proofs and concrete evidence from the Book and the Sunnah- neither from the actions of the Messenger and the Noble Sahaabah nor from the Notable Imaams; rather the verdict on protests [or demonstrations] is only what has been stated earlier and as well as what has been written by other than myself [i.e. protests (or demonstrations) are not permissible]

[Slightly paraphrased. Source:

Question to Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadi [hafidhahullaah]: Going out to demonstrations, [initiating] revolutions and nurturing the youth upon it; is this from the methodology of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaa’ah or not, whether [carried] out within or outside the Muslim countries? Answer: This is the methodology of Marx (i.e. Carl Marx), Lenin (i.e. Vladimir Lenin) and those similar to them. It is not from the Islamic methodology. Revolutions, bloodshed, trials and troubles are Marx’s and Lenin’s school of thought.

You Are a Wahhaabi, You Hate The Family of The Prophet! [Absurd Claim of Pathetic Wailers and Heretical Proponents of Self-flagellation On The Day of Aashooraa]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Al-Allaamah Muqbil Bin Hadee Al-Waadi’ee [rahimahullaah] said:

So, you say to the Raafidah, “Indeed, it is Shirk to call upon other than Allaah when seeking benefit and seeking protection from harm regarding an affair which none can (fulfil) except Allaah.  It is not permissible to invoke Ali Ibn Abee Taalib [radiyallaahu-anhu] or other than him amongst the dead [may Allaah have mercy upon them]…. Indeed, is it permissible to invoke the dead and seek deliverance and rescue from them?’’  They [i.e. Raafidah] say, “You are a Wahhaabi, you hate the family of the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam)’’.

Allaah [Glorified and Exalted be He] said:

وَعَجِبُوٓاْ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرٌ۬ مِّنۡہُمۡ‌ۖ وَقَالَ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرُونَ هَـٰذَا سَـٰحِرٌ۬ كَذَّابٌ

And they (Arab pagans) wonder that a warner (Prophet Muhammad) has come to them from among themselves! And the disbelievers say: ‘This (Prophet Muhammad) is a sorcerer, a liar.   Has he made the aaliha (gods) (all) into One Ilaah (God – Allaah). Verily, this is a curious thing!’ And the leaders among them went about (saying): “Go on and remain constant to your aaliha (gods)! Verily, this is a thing designed (against you)! We have not heard (the like) of this among the people of these later days. This is nothing but an invention!  Has the Reminder been sent down to him (alone) from among us?” Nay! but they are in doubt about My Reminder (this Qur’aan)! Nay, but they have not tasted (My) Torment! [Soorah Saad; Ayah:4-8]

So, you say to the Raafidah: Indeed, it is Shirk to call upon other than Allaah when seeking benefit and seeking protection from harm regarding a matter which none can (fulfil) except Allaah.  It is not permissible to invoke Ali Ibn Abee Taalib [radiyallaahu-anhu] or other than him amongst the dead [may Allaah have mercy upon them], because Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] said:

And those, whom you invoke or call upon instead of Him, own not even a Qitmeer (the thin membrane over the date stone).  If you invoke (or call upon) them, they hear not your call, and if (in case) they were to hear, they could not grant it (your request) to you. And on the Day of Resurrection, they will disown your worshipping them. And none can inform you (O Muhammad) like Him Who is the All-Knower (of each and everything).  O mankind! it is you who stand in need of Allaah, but Allaah is Rich (Free of all wants and needs), Worthy of all praise.’ [Soorah Faatir; Ayah:13-14]

And Allaah [Glorified be He and free is He from all imperfections] said:

وَمَنۡ أَضَلُّ مِمَّن يَدۡعُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَن لَّا يَسۡتَجِيبُ لَهُ ۥۤ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَـٰمَةِ وَهُمۡ عَن دُعَآٮِٕهِمۡ غَـٰفِلُونَ

‘And who is more astray than one who calls (invokes) besides Allaah, such as will not answer him till the Day of Resurrection, and who are (even) unaware of their calls (invocations) to them?  And when mankind are gathered (on the Day of Resurrection), they (false deities) will become enemies for them and will deny their worshipping.’ [Soorah Ahqaaf.

And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allaah, any other ilaah (god), of whom he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely! Al-Kaafiroon (the disbelievers in Allaah and in the Oneness of Allaah, polytheists, pagans, idolaters, etc.) will not be successful. [Soorah Muminoon; Ayah:117]

And if you say, “Indeed others have joined them (i.e. the Mushrikoon) in this (affair)”, so I say, ‘’Whoever joins them in this (affair of shirk) is similar to them”.  Allaah said:

And invoke not besides Allaah, any that will neither profit you, nor hurt you, but if (in case) you did so, you shall certainly be one of the Zaalimoon (polytheists and wrong doers).  And if Allaah touches you with hurt, there is none who can remove it but He; and if He intends any good for you, there is none who can repel His Favour which He causes it to reach whomsoever of His slaves He will. And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.’ [Soorah Yoonus; Ayah:106-107]

When you relate these verses and their likes to the (Rawaafid), and then say to them, “Indeed, is it permissible to invoke the dead and seek deliverance and rescue from them?’’  They say, “You are a Wahhaabi, you hate the family of the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam)’’. This is the same (affair) regarding the extreme Soofees; when you say, “Indeed, the awliyaa can neither benefit nor harm”, they say, “You hate the awliyaa”.

Indeed, Mighty is the word that comes out of the mouths of these two sects; they utter nothing but a lie.

[2] A Timely Reminder About The Danger of Lying And Its Evil Outcomes – [Excerpts From a Powerful Lecture By Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Part 1: https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2020/06/1-a-timely-reminder-about-the-danger-of-lying-and-its-evil-outcomes-excerpts-from-a-powerful-lecture-by-al-allaamah-rabee-bin-haadee/

Shaikh Rabee [may Allaah protect him] continued…..

Indeed, the opponents of Ahlus Sunnah amongst ahlul ahwaa [the people of desires] receive  pleasure from a share of these characteristics[i.e. lying], and hypocrisy is feared for some of them lest these blameworthy characteristics applies to them as well as that which emanates from it of dispraise and punishment.

And one of the punishments against liars is that which he [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said, “Beware of lying, for indeed lying leads to wickedness and wickedness leads to the fire. And a man does not cease telling lies and endeavour to tell lies until he is written [i.e. judged] by Allaah as a liar”. Rather lying can lead to major hypocrisy, Allaah [The Exalted] said:

And of them are some who made a covenant with Allah (saying): “If He bestowed on us of His Bounty, we will verily, give Sadaqah (Zakat and voluntary charity in Allah’s Cause) and will be certainly among those who are righteous.” Then when He gave them of His Bounty, they became niggardly [refused to pay the Sadaqah (Zakat or voluntary charity)], and turned away, averse. So He punished them by putting hypocrisy into their hearts till the Day whereon they shall meet Him, because they broke that (covenant with Allah) which they had promised Him and because they used to tell lies. [Surah At-Tawbah. Aayaat 75-77]

So, lying and breaking covenants plunged them into the sludge of hypocrisy – and Allaah’s Refuge is sought, and the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] stated that lying is one of the signs of hypocrisy. He said, “The signs of a hypocrite are three: Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie; whenever he promises, he always breaks it (his promise), and when trusted, he proves to be treacherous”.

And from the punishments against lying is that which the noble Messenger- the possessor of the highest moral character – has related  in a long hadeeth when he said, “I saw two men who came to me and said, ‘The one you saw his jaw being torn apart is a liar. He used to tell a lie until it reaches the furthest regions and it was transmitted from him until the Day of Resurrection'”. He [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] saw that man in whose mouth was placed an iron hook and torn off until it reached his ear; then the angel turned to the other jaw and tore it apart util it reached the man’s other ear, and then it returns as it was. And he will carry on with that until the day of Resurrection, just as the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] related. This is from the recompense for the liars.

Numerous are the liars today against the carriers of the Salafi Dawah and its callers! They are able to spread oppressive rumours until it reaches all the world through various means that have been made available to them in this era. They hinder the people from the path of Allaah by way of these rumours and seek to make it crooked, aid their falsehoods by way of it, their utter nonsense and dangerous religious innovations that destroy the sound belief, the sound Islamic approaches to various subject matters and the virtuous manners.

And indeed, Iblees – the cursed one and may Allaah curse him- is the leader of the liars. He is the first of the liars and their leader, the first deceiver and betrayer. Allaah [The Exalted] said:

“And O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in Paradise, and eat thereof as you both wish, but approach not this tree otherwise you both will be of the Zalimun (unjust and wrong-doers).” Then Shaitan (Satan) whispered suggestions to them both in order to uncover that which was hidden from them of their private parts (before); he said: “Your Lord did not forbid you this tree save you should become angels or become of the immortals.” And he [Shaitan (Satan)] swore by Allah to them both (saying): “Verily, I am one of the sincere well-wishers for you both.” So he misled them with deception. Then when they tasted of the tree, that which was hidden from them of their shame (private parts) became manifest to them and they began to stick together the leaves of Paradise over themselves (in order to cover their shame). And their Lord called out to them (saying): “Did I not forbid you that tree and tell you: Verily, Shaitan (Satan) is an open enemy unto you?” [Surah Al-A’raaf. Aayaat 19-22]

Look at the wicked one! He said to them, “Your Lord did not forbid you from this tree save you should become angels – out of fear that you might become angles or immortals”; so he swore by Allaah to them and Aadam did not perceive that anyone would swear by Allaah out of lying, so he believed him and was deceived. So, he misled them.

Allaah [The Exalted] said:

And (remember) when We said to the angels: “Prostrate yourselves to Adam.” They prostrated (all) except Iblis (Satan)who refused. Then We said: “O Adam! Verily, this is an enemy to you and to your wife. So let him not get you both out of Paradise, so that you be distressed in misery. Verily, you have (a promise from Us) that you will never be hungry therein nor naked. And you (will) suffer not from thirst therein nor from the sun’s heat. Then Shaitan (Satan) whispered to him, saying : “O Adam! Shall I lead you to the Tree of Eternity and to a kingdom that will never waste away?” Then they both ate of the tree, and so their private parts appeared to them, and they began to stick on themselves the leaves from Paradise for their covering. Thus did Adam disobey his Lord, so he went astray. Then his Lord chose him, and turned to him with forgiveness, and gave him guidance. [Surah Taa Haa. Aayaat 166-122]

Look at how he deceived them, fabricated and lied to them, and said to them through the path of the sincere advisers:  [هَلۡ أَدُلُّكَ عَلَىٰ شَجَرَةِ ٱلۡخُلۡدِ وَمُلۡكٍ۬ لَّا يَبۡلَىٰ  – O Adam! Shall I lead you to the Tree of Eternity and to a kingdom that will never waste away?] He deceived them with this, so they ate from the tree and the outcome was that which Allaah related that their private parts became apparent to them. So, out of shyness, [وَطَفِقَا يَخۡصِفَانِ عَلَيۡہِمَا مِن وَرَقِ ٱلۡجَنَّةِ‌ۚ   – they began to stick on themselves the leaves from Paradise for their covering]. Thus did Aadam disobey his Lord, so he went astray. Then his Lord chose him, and turned to him with forgiveness, and gave him guidance. Thus is Allaah’s Mercy for His friends; but Allaah’s wrath, anger and curse has been ascertained against Iblees until the Day of Judgment, and he will be in Hell as the leader of those who will dwell in there forever.

And indeed, the followers of shaytaan are the enemies of the truth in every era and place, and the enemies of the Messengers [peace and blessings be upon them]. Lying and slander is one of their greatest means [utilised] in their opposition to the Messengers and the great truth of that which they brought together with mighty and amazing signs. This is the path of every innovator in religious affairs and a falsifier- he opposes the truth and its adherents through lies and slander; slandering the people of truth together with beautification of falsehood and adorning it for his followers who nullify their intellects and personalities. This adorned speech by way of falsehood is taken from their leader Iblees – the cursed one, and from the followers of Fir’awn and the senior followers of Iblees, such as Fir’awn- the cursed one and may Allaah deprived him of every good. He has many peers in this affair [i.e. lying and slander]. Allaah [The Exalted] made known the lying and wickedness of this cursed one:

Has there come to you the story of Moosaa? When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa; go to Fir’aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed all bounds (in crimes, sins, polytheism, disbelief, etc.). And say to him: “Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)”; and that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? Then [Moosaa] showed him the great sign (miracles). But [Fir’aun (Pharaoh)] belied and disobeyed. Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, saying: “I am your lord, most high”, So Allah, seized him with punishment for his last [i.e. his saying: “I am your lord, most high”)] and first [(i.e. his saying, “O chiefs! I know not that you have a god other than I” (see Verse 28:38)] transgression. Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah.

The enemy of Allaah lied and said, “I am your Lord, most high”. Which lied can be more ugly than this wicked lie?! So Allaah seized him for his lie, denial and disbelief, and made that an instructive admonition for those who fear Allaah – those who give thought.

And from his lies was his statement to the magicians – when they believed after being defeated and subjugated through Allaah’s amazing signs- :

[Fir’aun (Pharaoh)] said: “Believe you in him [Musa (Moses)] before I give you permission? Verily! He is your chief who taught you magic. So I will surely cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you on the trunks of date-palms, and you shall surely know which of us [I (Fir’aun – Pharaoh) or the Lord of Musa (Moses) (Allah)] can give the severe and more lasting torment.” They said: “We prefer you not over the clear signs that have come to us, and to Him (Allah) Who created us. So decree whatever you desire to decree, for you can only decree (regarding) this life of the world. “Verily! We have believed in our Lord, that He may forgive us our faults, and the magic to which you did compel us. And Allah is better as regards reward in comparison to your [Fir’aun’s (Pharaoh)] reward, and more lasting (as regards punishment in comparison to your punishment).” [Surah Taa Haa. Aayaat 71-73]

Look at this wicked slanderer! He said to them when they believed and submitted: [ءَامَنتُمۡ لَهُ ۥ قَبۡلَ أَنۡ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمۡ -Believe you in him [Musa (Moses)] before I give you permission?]; then he invented this mighty slander:  [إِنَّهُ ۥ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحۡرَ‌ۖ  – Verily! He is your chief who taught you magic]- meaning, Moosaa [alayhis-salaam] when he came with those amazing signs. [Source: https://safeyoutube.net/w/4xWL . Slightly paraphrased]

The Perfect Example, The Most Devout And Generous Person at All Times- During Ramadhaan and Other Than It

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Narrated Ibn Abbaas [radiyallaahu-anhumaa], “The Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] was the most generous amongst the people, and he used to be more so in the month of Ramadaan when Jibreel visited him, and Jibreel used to meet him on every night of Ramadaan till the end of the month. The Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] used to recite the Noble Qur’aan to Jibreel, and when Jibreel met him, he used to be more generous than the fair wind [sent by Allaah with glad tidings (rain) in readiness and haste to do charitable deeds]”. [Saheeh al-Bukhaari 1902]

Few Reminders From This Hadeeth

Zain Ibnul Muneer [rahimahullaah] said, “The intent behind the likeness [or comparison] between the Prophet’s [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] generosity and the fair wind, is that the wind is one of mercy which Allaah [The Exalted] sends and sends down rain that falls everywhere- both on a dead land [i.e. falls on a dry land and revives it] as well as the land that is not dead; [likewise] the Prophet’s [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] good conduct and benevolence benefits everyone – the poor, the wealthy and the one who has enough – more than the rain that falls [after the arrival of that] fair wind”. [An Excerpt from Fat-hul Baari Sharh Saheeh Al-Bukhaari. Vol 4. Page 150. Hadeeth 1902. Publisher- Daarus Salaam 1421 (Year 2000). 1st Edition). Slightly paraphrased]

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [rahimahullaah] said:

He [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] was the most generous amongst the people with regards to wealth and giving to the people, and not that he was (only) generous after being asked.  And in the final year [of his life], Jibreel met him twice and he finished the recitation of the [Qur’aan] twice. And from the benefits of [this hadeeth] is that it is more virtuous to study and recite the Qur’aan at night- studying it with the righteous people, the scholars and the good people. The Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] recited [the Qur’aan to Jibreel] to receive Allaah reward. [An Excerpt from Al-Hulalul Ibreeziyyah Min Ta’liqaat Al-Baaziyyah Alaa Saheeh Al-Bukhaariy. 2/121.
