A Great Calamity That Has Afflicted Those Satisfied With Their Knowledge!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Imaam Ibul Jawzi [rahimahullaah] said:

“The great calamity is that a person becomes pleased with himself and satisfied with his knowledge, and this is a trial that has blinded many of the creation.  So you see a Yahoodi or a Nasraani considering himself to be upon haqq and does not look at the evidences about Muhammad’s Prophethood [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam]. And if he hears what softens his heart such as the miraculous Qur’aan, he flees in order not to listen to it”.
