[may Allah have mercy upon him and his wife]

This Playlist is a “remastering” of the ‘Explanation Kitāb at-Tawhīd’ series done by Abu Talhah Dawood Burbank Rahimahullah. The original lessons took place from 1997 onwards for several years. These lessons were digitalised and uploaded from the original cassette recordings around 10 years ago, however, the sound quality was very poor. Also, those original uploads contained duplicate files etc..

Forty Hadith of Imaam An-Nawawi by Shaikh Abu Iyaad [may Allah preserve him]

Explanation of Imaam an-Nawawi’s Forty Hadeeth – Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq

Whoever is given the right of his brother through a judicial decision

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Imaam Al-Bukhari [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: Chapter: Chapter: [Whoever is given the right of his brother through a judicial decision]: Umm Salamah [may Allah be pleased with her] reported that Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said, “Indeed, I am only a human being and you people (i.e. disputants) come to me with your disputes. And it may be that one of you can present his case more eloquently than the other and I consider him truthful, and judge in his favour. So if I ever judge and give the right of a brother to his brother, then it is a piece of hellfire and let him not take it“.

Some Benefits Derived From This Hadeeth:

The Ummah (i.e. the Shariah Judges) judge based on what is apparent; however, the judgement of a judge cannot prohibit the lawful and allow the unlawful (i.e. when proven erroneous). This Hadeeth contains a refutation against those who say that the Messengers possess knowledge of the unseen. This hadeeth also shows that speech can be seen to be true based on what is apparent, but it is truly falsehood with regard to what is hidden within it. This hadeeth shows that the one who receives a judgement in his favour is more aware than every other person as to whether he is entitled to it or whether he is a falsifier. So, he takes if entitled or leaves it if he a falsifier because in reality, a judgement cannot change an affair from what it was in origin (i.e. the original truth in the affair before its distortion or concealment]. This hadeeth shows the sinfulness of the one who argues based on falsehood until he receives what he wants publicly, whilst he is upon falsehood. This hadeeth is proof to show that a scholar can make a mistake and it is a refutation against those who say that every Mujtahid is correct. This hadeeth shows that the Mujtahid is forgiven (when he makes a mistake). [Sahih Al-Bukhaari. Kitaab Al-Ahkaam (Book of Judgements): Chapter 29. Hadeeth Number 7181 with Fathul Baari]

[5] The So-called Controversial Statements of Al-Allaamah Saalih Al-Fawzaan.

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Abu Umamah [may Allah be pleased with him] reported that Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him[ said, “Whoever loves for the sake of Allah, hates for the sake of Allah, gives for the sake of Allah, and withholds for the sake of Allah has perfected Imaan”. [(1)]

The cretins at Wikipedia said, “Human Rights Watch has attributed hate speech by Saleh al-Fawzan towards Shia and rafida when he called these groups “brothers of Satan” and specifically about a faction of Shia followers as “unbelievers” who “lie about God, his prophet, and the consensus of Muslim”. Hala Al-Dosari also claims that al-Fawzan considers Islamic minority sects to be heretics”. [End of quote]

First, Al-Allaamah Saalih Al-Fawzaan [may Allah preserve him] is one of the noble Salafi Scholars of our time, and so-called “Human Rights Watch” has no authority in the Sight of Allah to judge the statements of this upright Salafi Scholar, except based on the infallible final divine revelation. Indeed, he resides in a country that permits him to pass judgment of the Shariah against anyone who contradicts the Qur’an and the Sunnah as understood by the Sahaabah. Second, the Shariah legislates both love and hatred for Allah’s Sake, as the Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said, “Whoever loves for the sake of Allah, hates for the sake of Allah, gives for the sake of Allah, and withholds for the sake of Allah has perfected Imaan”.

Third, Al-Allaamah Saalih Aala Ash-Shaikh [may Allah preserve him] said the following regarding s-called human rights, “The major powers utter this term if they want to impose something new on nations, society, and the people regardless of their countries and cultures. So, after the Second World War, they wanted to establish a new world order by way of which the major powers would be able to control all countries. At times this control is cultural, sometimes through strong opinions and the exercise of freedoms at other times, and power is exercised through interference in the affairs of the countries in which they want to interfere”. [Footnote a]

Fourth, other than what is found in these two links, there is nothing else to add to Al-Allaamah Saalih Al-Fawzaan’s verdict against Raafidah Shiites.

http://www.shia.bs/index.cfm
https://abukhadeejah.com/the-devils-deception-of-the-raafidah-shiah/

Finally, the cretins stated, “Hala Al-Dosari also claims that al-Fawzan considers Islamic minority sects to be heretics”. [End of quote]

It doesn’t matter who uttered this statement because it needs to be explained. Hafs Bin Humaid [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: I asked Abdullah Ibn Al-Mubaarak [may Allah have mercy upon him], “How many sects have this Ummah divided into?” He said, “The foundation of the sects are four: the shia, the harooriyyah (i.e. khawaarij), the qadariyyah, and the murji’ah”. The Shia splintered into twenty-two sects, the Harooriyyah into twenty-one sects, the Qadariyyah into sixteen sects, and the Murji’ah into thirteen sects”. [(2)]

The previous Mufti of Saudi Arabia Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [may Allah have mercy upon him] was asked: What is the meaning of the Messenger’s [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] statement about the Ummah in the hadith, “All of them (sects) are in the fire except one” and who is that one? Will the other 72 (deviant) sects abide in the fire for all eternity?

Response: The prophet [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said, “The Jews split into 71 sects, meaning all of them were misguided and ruined, except one. The Christians split into 72 sects, meaning all of them were misguided and ruined, except one. And this Ummah will split into 73 sects, all of them in the fire, except one. Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’ah (those who firmly cling to the authentic Prophetic Sunnah and are unified upon it) are this single group – the Prophet’s companions and those who exactly follow them in faith, the adherents to sound faith and pure Islamic monotheism. Concerning the other 72 (deviants) sects that have been threatened with (entry into) the fire, among them is one who is a disbeliever [Footnote b], one who is a sinner, and one about whom it has been proved with clear evidence that he is an innovator in religion (Mubtadi). So, among them, the one who dies in a state of unbelief [Footnote c] will be in the fire for eternity, while the one who dies in a state of devotion to religious innovation that is less than major disbelief [Footnote d] or sins is under Allah’s will, while still threatened with the fire. So, based on this, it is known that not all of them are disbelievers, but rather among them is a disbeliever, while the others are sinners and innovators in religion. [(3)]

Footnotes b and c: NB: Takfeer – declaring that a Muslim left the fold of Islam is a judgement that can only be given by the upright scholars and none else. https://www.manhaj.com/manhaj/articles/obkwf-takfir-and-the-excuse-of-ignorance-shaykh-saalih-al-fawzaan.cfm

Footnote d: All religious innovations are evil, but there are those that will exit a person from the fold of Islam (Bida’atul Mukaffirah) and those that do not exit a person from the fold of Islam (Bida’atul Mufassiqah).

Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee [may Allaah preserve him] was asked whether there is a difference between Bidah Al-Mukaffirah and Bidah Al-Mufassiqah; so he replied that there is Bidah Mukaffirah, such as rejecting the Ruyah (i.e. denying that the believers will see Allah in the afterlife); rejecting Allaah’s Uluww [i.e. denying that Allaah is above his creation –Allah ascended over the Throne in a way that benefits his majesty)]; invoking other than Allah; offering slaughtered sacrifice (i.e. animals) to other than Allah etc. These are affairs of Bidah Al-Mukaffirah (the bidah that is tantamount to disbelief). But we do not make Takfeer of the people who commit this type of Bidah until we establish the proof against them. That is because some of them (i.e. the people who fall into these affairs) carry doubts and are far away from the era of Prophethood and its light (i.e. guidance). So they fall into the likes of these Bidah. Rejecting the Ruyah is disbelief; rejecting Allaah’s Uluww is disbelief; the saying that the Qur’an is created is disbelief-major disbelief. But this person, -[who testifies that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allaah, and he prays, observes fasting, wants paradise and believes in that] -received the doubts of the people of falsehood, so he falls into the likes of these affairs (i.e. these innovations that are tantamount to disbelief). So we say to him: You have fallen into disbelief and the evidence is this and this, and we clarify for him. So if Allaah grants him Tawfeeq and he returns to the truth, then all praise is due to Allaah. But if not, we declare him a disbeliever after establishing the proofs against him. As for Bidah Al-Mufassiqah, it is other than this (i.e. it is not at the level of that which is tantamount to disbelief)… [A paraphrased excerpt. http://www.rabee.net/ar/questions.php?cat=26&id=484 ]

[2] The virtuous deed of self-restraint to prioritise the greater good

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Anyone who gives up something for Allah’s sake will be given something better in its place

Imam As-Sadi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] stated:

This affair is found in many places in the Qur’an. Allah mentioned it in relation to the first immigrants who left their homes, wealth, and loved ones behind for the sake of Allah, therefore Allah substituted that for them with increased provision, honour, and authority in the worldly life.

When Ibraaheem [peace be upon him] disassociated himself from his people, his father, and that which they worshipped other than Allah [i.e. departed after his father threatened to stone him], Allah bestowed on him Ishaaq, Yaqub, and righteous offspring.

When Sulaymaan [peace be upon him] was diverted from remembering Allah by his horses, he got rid of them, therefore Allah substituted them.

So, We subjected to him the wind; it blew gently by his order whithersoever he willed. And also the Shayaateen (devils) from the jinn (including) every kind of builder and diver. [Surah Saad. Ayaat 36-37]

When the people of the cave [i.e. the young men mentioned in Surah Al-kahf] separated themselves from their people and what they worshipped other than Allah, Allah bestowed His Mercy on them, facilitated means of success and tranquillity for them, and made them a guide for the misguided.

And (regarding) Maryam [peace be upon her] Allah said:
وَٱلَّتِىٓ أَحۡصَنَتۡ فَرۡجَهَا فَنَفَخۡنَا فِيهَا مِن رُّوحِنَا وَجَعَلۡنَـٰهَا وَٱبۡنَهَآ ءَايَةً۬ لِّلۡعَـٰلَمِينَ

And she who guarded her chastity (virgin Maryam), We breathed into (the sleeves of) her (shirt or garment) (through our Ruh Jibraa-eel), and We made her and her son (Eesaa) a sign for the Aalameen (mankind and jinn)]. [Surah Al-Anbiya. Ayah 91]

Whoever gives up what their Nafs call them to – the vain desires, Allah will replace it for them with His love, their repentance to Him, and what is better from that which is gathered for them of the pleasures of this life. [(1)] [End of quote]

Indeed, when considering the fact that the honourable and upright people in Imaam As-Sadi’s [may Allah have mercy upon him] aforementioned statement were greatly rewarded for forgoing something in search of something more honourable for themselves, even though they did not sin, then it is more expected that any sensible person who errs will see the justification for an appeal that he or she give up—for the greater good—actions that might compound the error.

[1] Reminder to Our Children About The Arrival of Islam in Our Home Countries

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Most High] said:

O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honourable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has the most Taqwah. Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware. [Surah Al-Hujuraat. Verse 13]

[لِتَعَارَفُوا – that you may know one another]: Meaning: So that you may know one another and how close you all are to one another in lineage, but not out of boastfulness. Then Allaah informed us that the most elevated amongst them are those who fear Him the most.

The ascription to a tribe and a nation is affirmed in Islam. The companions of the Prophet used to ascribe themselves to their tribes and their people in the presence of the Messenger, and he never disapproved of it, however, there should be no behavior that is tantamount to that of the pre-Islamic era, as the Messenger said, “Indeed, Allah [The Most High] has removed from you the pride of the pre-Islamic period and its boasting about ancestors. One is only a pious believer or a wretched sinner. You are sons of Adam and Adam (was created from) dust. Let the people abandon boasting about their ancestors, for they are merely fuel in Jahannam; or they will become more insignificant in (the sight of) Allah than the beetle which rolls dung with its nose”. [1]

The Messenger said, “Whoever is held back by his deeds, his (nobility) of lineage will not push him forward”. Imam Nawawi [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “Meaning, the one whose deeds are deficient and he does not catch up with the performers of (good) deeds, then it is obligatory upon him not to crown himself with the nobility of lineage and the virtues of his forefathers, whilst he is lagging behind in (performing righteous) deeds”. [2]

The arrival of Islam In Uganda and Gambia

Uganda: Islam reached the Lake Plateau, in Uganda, in several ways: On the east side, via the Islamic East African coasts, and from the north, South Sudan. Islam became well established in the heart of the African continent through the good example demonstrated by its adherents and intermarriage with the indigenous population. [3]

Gambia: The history of Gambia is an integral part of the history of Senegal. Islam reached it in the fifth century AH and the eleventh century AD, as it was part of the Kingdom of Ghana, and then the Kingdom of Mali. After the colonial competition over West Africa between the Portuguese, the French, and the British, it fell under British colonization. [4]

[2] “Humanity has consumed all resources that our planet can regenerate” – Scaremongering by a Pathetic French Mulhid

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Exalted] said:

وَمَا مِن دَآبَّةٍ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ رِزْقُهَا وَيَعْلَمُ مُسْتَقَرَّهَا وَمُسْتَوْدَعَهَا كُلٌّ فِى كِتَٰبٍ مُّبِينٍ

And no (moving) living creature is there on earth but its provision is due from Allah. And He knows its dwelling place and its deposit (in the uterus, grave, etc.) All is in a Clear Book (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz – the Book of Decrees with Allah). [Surah Hud. Ayah 6]

Allah [The Exalted] said:

And they said, “Why was this Qur’an not sent down upon a great man from [one of] the two cities?” Is it they who would portion out the Mercy of your Lord? It is We Who portion out between them their livelihood in this world, and We raised some of them above others in ranks, so that some may employ others in their work. But the Mercy (Paradise) of your Lord (O Muhammad) is better than the (wealth of this world) which they amass. [Surah Az-Zukhruf. Ayaat 31-32]

The French Mulhid said:

The first thing the French Mulhidoon should consider is that they have a Lord who has allotted provision for all living things on the earth until the day of judgement.

Second, the French Mulhid should follow the path established by our Lord in our dealings with the rich and the poor. Imaam As-Sadi [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: “People’s goals and policies on wealth and poverty differ due to their own interests and are not based on adherence to the truth and consideration of the broader public good. Because they did not follow the teachings of the Islamic religion, they all erred (and missed) the path that would lead to beneficial outcomes- their ideas differed, and they behaved accordingly, resulting in widespread evil and great strife between those claiming to support the poor and workers and those clinging to riches and wealth. They have a lengthy discussion on this subject, and all of it amounts to error and misguidance, and Allah has guided the believers to the right path in all of their affairs, including this one.

All praise is due to Allah; the Islamic Shari’ah came to rectify the rich and poor, and when Allah [The Exalted] decreed that individuals among humans and Jinn would have varied social statuses – among them the rich, the poor, the one with a high social standing, and the one with a lower social status – based on a great judgement and underlying reasons that are too precise to describe, He then established a strong relationship amongst them, with some given authority over others, mutual exchange established, and some in need of others. The All-Wise Law Giver – [The One completely Wise in everything He decrees, and completely Wise in His Sayings, and completely Wise in His Actions, and there is no deficiency in anything He decrees, says, or does] – first ordained that they be brothers and not to take personal advantage of each other; but rather He instructed each of them to fulfil what they owed to the other, so achieving social harmony and the necessities of life.

Islam obligated Zakat from the wealth of the rich based on what is stated regarding its details in the divine revelation. It made spending a means of meeting the needs of the poor and achieving religious well-being, which secures both worldly and religious affairs; encourages kind behaviour at all times and on all occasions, obligated to meet the needs of the needy, feeding the hungry, providing clothing for those without enough clothing, and paying for the necessities of the destitute. It also obligates specific expenditure on family and children, as well as on matters relating to their affairs, as well as the discharge of all obligations related to the mutual interactions that occur between people. Furthermore, Islam commanded them not to rely entirely on their strength and power in pursuing earnings, nor to regard what they possess as a source of (permanent) tranquillity and stability; instead, they should focus on obedience to Allah, acknowledge Allah’s favours, Allah’s facilitation of ease, seeking Allah’s assistance, and thanking Allah for the wealth and prosperity He has bestowed upon them over others.

Allah commanded them to stay within the confines of Halaal and Haraam, and not to overindulge in luxury and excess in a way that affects their morals, riches, and overall state of affairs, rather, they should do what Allah says in Surah Al-Furqan, Ayah 67: [والذين إذا أنفقوا لم يسرفوا ولم يقتروا وكان بين ذلك قواما – And those, who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor niggardly, but hold a medium (way) between those (extremes)].

Furthermore, Allah commanded them to pursue wealth and worldly things in an honourable and honest manner, so that they are not tainted with evil gains, such as usury, gambling, swindling, fraud, or deception; rather, they should adhere to the divine revelation’s ordainments in their dealings, just as they do in their personal acts of worship. And Allah commanded them to treat the poor with mercy and benevolence, rather than cruelty, harshness, selfishness, boastfulness, insolence, and pride. As a result of these wise instructions, religious well-being becomes the highest level of honour and perfection, and wealth acquires a praiseworthy description, a perfect attribute, sublimity, and loftiness, because the divine revelation refined and purified it, exhorts one to avoid vices, and urges one to acquire virtues (i.e. virtues mentioned in the divine revelation).

Islam commanded the poor and everyone else who fails to achieve their personal wish to be patient, accept Allah’s decree, acknowledge that Allah is All-Wise, possesses perfect judgement, and (All-Wise in) His disposal of all affairs and that there are various benefits in this (for a person). Allah stated:

And it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know. [Surah Al-Baqarah. Ayah 216]

This belief of theirs removes the sadness that would have entered the hearts, leading to helplessness and sloth! Then Allah commanded them that they should not seek to alleviate their poverty and meet their needs by relying on others or asking them unless it is unavoidable and required, and that they use a variety of activities and means that Allah has provided as a means of eradicating poverty- each person preoccupied with the means that are best for oneself and their circumstances. This helps to release a person from total dependency, develops strength, promotes activity, and combats lethargy and apathy, but also not envy the wealthy because of what Allah has bestowed on them. Allah said:

And covet not for the things in which Allah has made some of you to excel others. For men there is reward for what they have earned, (and likewise) for women there is reward for what they have earned, and ask Allah for His Bounty. Surely, Allah is Ever All-Knower of everything. [Surah An-Nisaa. Ayah 32]

Allah commanded them to be truthful in their work, dealings, and crafts, and not to rush in pursuing their livelihood by indulging in vile gains, which deprives a person of an upright adherence to the religion as well as corrupting worldly affairs. Allah commanded them to do two things that would help them while enduring the hardship of poverty: economise and be satisfied with what Allah has bestowed on them, (because) little sustenance combined with wise economisation (suffices) a lot. Contentment is an unlimited resource and richness without wealth! Many poor individuals are blessed with contentment and the ability to economise, neither pining for what the wealthy possess nor feeling bitter about their meagre sustenance. When poor people are guided by the guidance of the religion of Islam to exercise patience and attach themselves to Allah, freed from abject dependence, work hard and strive for honourable and beneficial deeds, and be satisfied with Allah’s grace, the burden and difficulty of poverty will be eased for them. Furthermore, they continue to work towards self-sufficiency (and to acquire more provision) while hoping for the bounty of their Lord, awaiting His promise and fearing Him.

Allah said:

And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty).

Allah said:

And whosoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will suffice him. [Surah At-Talaaq. Ayaat 2-3] (1)

Third, we remind the French Mulhid what Shaikh Abu Khadeejah [may Allah preserve him] stated as follows: “According to biased and indoctrinated scientists, who are educated in Western universities and institutions funded by their governments and huge multi-national companies, another cause of poverty is population growth in countries that cannot afford to feed the extra mouths. This however is a false notion, since the world has enough farmland, resources, water, cattle, fish, and wild game to support entire nations and continents. The European colonialist powers spent many centuries (400 to 500 years) conquering Asia, Africa, the Far East, the Americas, and elsewhere, and they stripped the natural resources of those conquered lands – then they took the natural resources, wealth, and humans (as slaves), and built their industrial revolution on that plundered wealth on the back of wealth and human resource they pillaged unjustly from others. Today, when those nations wish to build their economies, strengthen their independence, increase their populations, and build their defenses in order to make their nations strong, they are prevented through international treaties related to health and social engineering, goods embargos, tariffs, climate-control measures, etc. Then they are told that they are poor because their nations have too many mouths to feed! The reality, however, is that the African continent and other regions across Allah’s world have enough land, fertile pastures, animals, mineral wealth, oil, gas, iron ore, copper, gold and silver, etc., to be able to feed employ and their nations”. https://abukhadeejah.com/the-causes-of-poverty-in-light-of-climate-change-population-growth-and-other-factors-part-ii-ethics-2-4/

Finally, we remind the French Mulhid that we should not make this worldly existence our primary preoccupation. Allah said:

Certainly! Allah will admit those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, to Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), while those who disbelieve enjoy themselves and eat as cattle eat, and the Fire will be their abode. [Surah Muhammad. Ayah 12]

Meaning, they eat and are heedless of the consequences of their final affair (2); enjoy their worldly life and eat therein like animals, munching and gnawing (with overindulgence), whilst having no concern other than that (3); animals eat and drink, and they are not aware of tomorrow; likewise the disbeliever does not give thought to the Hereafter (4); their utmost concern is to enjoy themselves with the pleasures of this worldly life and its desires, so you find that both their apparent and hidden pursuits revolve around this. Allah says:

Say (O Muhammad ): “Do you verily disbelieve in Him Who created the earth in two Days and you set up rivals (in worship) with Him? That is the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists). He placed therein (i.e. the earth) firm mountains from above it, and He blessed it, and measured therein its sustenance (for its dwellers) in four Days equal (i.e. all these four ‘days’ were equal in the length of time), for all those who ask (about its creation). Then He Istawa (rose over) towards the heaven when it was smoke, and said to it and to the earth: “Come both of you willingly or unwillingly.” They both said: “We come, willingly.” Then He completed and finished from their creation (as) seven heavens in two Days and He made in each heaven its affair. And We adorned the nearest (lowest) heaven with lamps (stars) to be an adornment as well as to guard (from the devils by using them as missiles against the devils). Such is the Decree of Him the All-Mighty, the All-Knower. [Surah Fussilat. Ayaat 9-12]

[وَجَعَلَ فِيہَا رَوَٲسِىَ مِن فَوۡقِهَا وَبَـٰرَكَ فِيہَا وَقَدَّرَ فِيہَآ أَقۡوَٲتَہَا فِىٓ أَرۡبَعَةِ أَيَّامٍ۬ سَوَآءً۬ لِّلسَّآٮِٕلِينَ – He placed therein (i.e. the earth) firm mountains from above it, and He blessed it, and measured therein its sustenance (for its dwellers) in four Days equal (i.e. all these four ‘days’ were equal in the length of time), for all those who ask (about its creation)] – Al-Hasan [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “Allah determined the provision of His servants (humans and Jinns) and the animals”. (1)

Jaabir [may Allah be pleased with him] narrated that Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said, “O people, fear Allah and be moderate in seeking a living, for no soul will die until it has received all its provision, even if it is slow in coming. So fear Allah and be moderate in seeking provision; take that which is permissible and leave that which is forbidden”. [Saheeh Ibn Maajah 1756]

The above texts and many others in the infallible revelation establish the fact that all creatures on this earth will continue to receive their provision until the end of time. However, a pathetic French secularist (Mulhid) says:

Shaikh Abu Khadeejah [may Allah preserve him] said:

“According to biased and indoctrinated scientists, who are educated in Western universities and institutions funded by their governments and huge multi-national companies, another cause of poverty is population growth in countries that cannot afford to feed the extra mouths. (2)

Second, we remind this pathetic Mulhid that sins, transgression and greed lead to calamities on the earth. https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2019/12/04/the-relationship-between-sinning-and-ones-circumstances/

Finally, this pathetic Mulhid must remind their oppressive bosses to refrain from eating their share of resources and that of others. The Colonial and Post-Colonial Mentality of the French Mutaffifoon and Their Ilk:

Educate your child as so-called “Climate Activists” become more radical

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Exalted] said:
إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَمَا تَهۡوَى ٱلۡأَنفُسُ‌ۖ
“They follow but a guess and that which they themselves desire”.

When a person is bereft of correct Imaan and the creed that Allah has ordained, their situation is one of two: corruption in knowledge or corruption in intent. Corruption in knowledge results from following conjecture, and corruption in intent results from following desires, or both may be combined in a person. The rectification or well-being of a person cannot be attained except by way of two affairs: upright knowledge and upright Intent. (1)

Then explain to your child that these people are, first and foremost, devoid of sound Aqeedah, particularly that 20-year-old Swedish woman, so-called climate activist.

Some Affairs to Contemplate Whenever We Are Enticed Towards Blameworthy Desires!

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Imam Ibnul Jawzi [may Allah have mercy upon him] said:

Know that (blameworthy, forbidden, or unrestrained) desires entices a person towards immediate pleasures without considering the evil repercussions; entice towards short-lived pleasures, despite the fact that they are a cause of pain and harm in this life and a barrier to pleasure in the afterlife. As for sensible people, they keep away from pleasures that will lead to pain, and desires whose result will be regret. This is enough as praise regarding what sound intellect necessitates and a rebuke against desires. Know that desires can overcome a person in the different fields of study, removes one from the confines of sound reasoning and enters him (or her) into behaviour that is tantamount to madness (or folly). It might enter affairs of knowledge and thus leads a person to oppose that which sound knowledge commands, and it might enter Zuhd and thus leads one to Riyaa.

A sensible person should know that those who are addicted to lowly desires reach a state in which they no longer enjoy themselves, but at the same time, they are unable to abandon those desires, because it becomes as if it is a necessity of life. And due to this, you’ll find that alcoholics and sex addicts do not even enjoy a tenth of those desires, but they put themselves in a perilous situation that compels them to keep on returning to the act. However, if based on clear-sightedness the beautification of those lowly desires ceases, a person realises that one was exposed to some ruin that is contrary to well-being, a situation of grief instead of happiness, whilst seeking after pleasure; so, one resembles an animal that was led to a trap, but neither reached the thing that was utilised to lure it into the trap nor able to escape.

A person should ponder upon the fact that a human being was not created to fulfil desires; rather the human being was facilitated (with sound knowledge based on the divine revelation and uncorrupted perception) to reflect on the consequences of one’s actions and perform righteous deeds for the Afterlife. An animal receives pleasure through eating, drinking and sex much more than a human being, whilst living a life devoid of reflection and concern. Therefore, it is drawn towards its desires due to being ignorant of the outcomes of its actions (i.e. it does not possess the knowledge given to humans through sound reasoning and reflection guided by the divine revelation).

A person should ponder upon the consequences of desires because many people are deprived of virtue and find themselves in a state of depravity due to it. Many types of (unhealthy) food lead to illness due to an unrestrained desire (for them), and many mistakes violate one’s honour, lead to an evil mention of a person as well as the guilt of sinning due to unrestrained desires, yet one still does not give thought to anything else except their desires! The best description regarding this is that of one person in a tannery because such an individual does not really notice its smell properly until after exiting and then realises where he (or she) was.

A sensible person should imagine the dishonour that accompanies desires and the harm that results from those pleasures, for indeed one will see that- in most cases- they occur as a result of those desires and pleasures. A person should think about how (the consequences of unrestrained desires and pleasures do affect) others, then ponder and get a hint of its (unpraiseworthy) outcomes, for indeed one will see the blameworthiness of that which is known regarding them if found guilty. A person should reflect upon those pleasures because (sound) intellect (or sound perception guided by the pure divine revelation) will make one realise that they are nothing more than desires and a state of blindness.

A person should contemplate on the honour a person receives due to being given the upper hand and the humiliation found in subjugation, for indeed there is none who overcomes desires except that their honour is strengthened; and there is none who is subjugated by desires except that they will find humiliation and subjugation in one’s soul. A person should contemplate the benefits of opposing one’s desires, such as the commendation attached to it in this worldly life, the safety of the soul and safeguarding of one’s honour, as well as reward in the afterlife. (1)

We ask Allah:

O Ever Living! O The Self Subsisting, Upon Whom Everything Depends! By Your mercy I seek assistance; rectify for me all of my affairs and do not leave me to myself, even for the blink of an eye. [Imaam Albaani declared it Hasan in Silsilah As-Saheehah Number 227]

Do Not Cease Being Repentant To Allah And Seek Forgiveness For Your Sins- By Shaikh Abu Khadeejah

[may Allah preserve him]

[Ref 1: An Excerpt from Dhammul Hawaa. pages 36-38. Slightly paraphrased]

The People of Bidah On The Day of Aa’shooraa (Rawaafid, Nawaasib, and other Ignoramuses)

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Hishaam Bin Urwah [may Allah have mercy upon him] used to say, “Do not question the people about what they have innovated (in the religion) today because they have prepared answers for it; rather, question them about the Sunnah because they do not know it.” (1)

Ibn Aqeel [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “If the truthful ones were to keep silent and the falsifiers speak, then the creation would have relinquished what they have witnessed (of truth) and reject what they have not witnessed. So when the devout ones desire to revive the Sunnah, the people would reject it and think that it is bidah”. (1.1)

Shaikh Al Islam Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allah have mercy upon him] was asked if there is any authentic hadeeth from the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] regarding what people do on the day of Aashooraa, such as applying kohl and Hena, shaking hands, taking a bath, preparing food such as barley and other grains, and manifesting happiness; if there are no authentic proofs, is this considered bidah or not? And do the deeds of the other group (i.e. the Raafidah Shiites) have a basis in the religion or not, such as mourning, showing grief, purposefully making oneself thirsty and scarring oneself, sobbing, reciting (poems), fainting as a result of that and slapping the face?

Response: All the praises and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the entire existence. There is no authentic hadeeth from the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] or his companions in this regard, and none of the Imams, including the four Imams (Abu Hanifah, Malik, Ahmad, and Shaafi’ee), have recommended it.  Neither the scholars who authored and collated the texts that are relied on for their authenticity nor the companions and their students reported anything authentic or weak regarding this from the Prophet, neither in the authentic books of hadith nor in the Sunan. The virtuous first three generations of Islam knew nothing about these reports; however, some of those who came after the first three virtuous generations of Islam have transmitted reports to this effect, such as “Whoever applies kohl on the day of Aashooraa will not be sore-eyed in that year.” “Whoever bathes on Aashooraa will not get sick that year.” They also transmitted reports that Adam’s repentance took place on the day of Aashooraa, the virtue of prayer on this day, and that it was the day Nuh’s ark landed on Mount Judi, the day Ya’qub was reunited with Yusuf, and the day Ibraaheem was saved from the fire, etc. They also transmitted fabricated reports and lies attributed to the Prophet saying, “Whoever gives to his family on the day of Aashooraa, Allah will give him throughout the year.” All of these reports are lies attributed to the Prophet. (2)

Then an ignorant and transgressive group arose, consisting of either disbelieving hypocrites or misguided individuals. They declared (so-called) allegiance to the Prophet’s household and observed Aashooraa as a day of mourning, misery, and wailing. They practice pre-Islamic ignorance-related deeds such as slapping the face, tearing their clothes, and calling to pre-Islamic ignorance-related slogans and disbelief. However, Allah and His Messenger instructed that when new disasters occur, (one) exercises patience, hopes for Allah’s reward, recalls one’s misdeeds, and repents, as Allah (The Most High) said:

But give glad tidings to As-Saabireen (the patient ones, etc.). Who, when afflicted with calamity, say: “Truly! To Allah, we belong and truly, to Him, we shall return.” They are those on whom are the Salaam (i.e. blessings, etc.) (i.e. who are blessed and will be forgiven) from their Lord, and (they are those who) receive His Mercy, and it is they who are the guided ones. [Soori Al-Baqarah: Ayaat 55-57]

And it has been reported in the Saheehayn (Bukhaari and Muslim) from the Prophet that he said, “He is not from us, he who slaps his cheeks, tears his clothes and calls to the slogans of the pre-Islamic period of ignorance” (3)

They also recite mournful poems and relate reports that are full of lies. And the truth in them merely renews their (exaggerated and mistaken way of grieving), bigoted allegiance, incitement to hatred and conflict, initiating trials between the people of Islam as a result of that, and reviling those who were first to enter Islam. Even an eloquent person cannot explain the evil of these people (i.e. the Raafidah) and their harm to the people of Islam. [Visit http://www.shia.bs/index.cfm ]

However, they (i.e. Raafidah) are opposed by another group of people who are either Nawaasib (footnote a) or ignoramuses, thus they confront corruption with corruption, lying with lies, evil with evil, and bidah with bidah. On the day of Aashooraa, they write poems conveying joy and happiness, apply kohl, dye their garments a different colour, spend extra on their families, and cook the food they do not normally cook. These people regard the day of Aashooraa as an occasion comparable to the days of celebration and happiness [i.e. the two Eids]. The Raafidah, on the other hand, observe it as a day of mourning, grief, and suffering [i.e. inflicting injuries on oneself]. In this matter, both groups are mistaken and have exited the authentic Prophetic path. Allah’s Messenger, the rightly guided Khulafaa, or any of the Muslims’ Imams, such as Maalik, Ath-Thawree, Al-Layth Bin Sa’d, Abu Haneefah, Al-Awzaa’ee, Ash-Shaafi’ee, Ahmad Bin Hanbal, and Ishaaq Bin Raahawayh, never legislated these deeds. (4)

Footnote a: Imam Muhammad Ibn Saalih Al-Uthaymeen [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: The Nawaasib are the ones who propagate hostility towards the Prophet’s family, slander and revile them, so they are the opposite of the Rawaafid (i.e. those who exaggerate the status of the Prophet’s family until they worship them).
