[38] Ascent and Decline of the Ottoman Empire

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Sultan Abdul Hamid II

continued….

In 1293 AH (1876), the people of Montenegro and the Serbs encouraged Herzegovina to rise up against the Ottoman Empire. The Ottomans were able to quell this rebellion. To deter European nations from intervening, Sultan Abdul Hamid enacted a decree that separated the judiciary from the executive branch. He also required that judges be elected by the local populace and instituted tax equality for both Muslims and Christians.

The residents were unhappy with the situation, leading them to return to revolution, which was also quelled. Nevertheless, Austria, which supported the revolution and aimed to annex Bosnia and Herzegovina, kept stirring up discontent against the Ottoman Empire. Austria worked alongside Russia, Germany, France, and England to pressure the Sultan into enacting reforms. He consented, but the Christians in Bosnia rejected this. This shows that the call for reforms was just a weak pretext; in reality, they sought to intervene both directly and indirectly in state matters to undermine and topple it.

The Bulgarian revolution took place at the same time as the uprising of Christians in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which received support from Austria and various European nations, especially Russia. In Bulgaria, societies were formed to promote Russian influence among Orthodox Christians and Slavs, with assistance from Russia, which provided them with arms. These societies actively encouraged the populations of Serbia, Bosnia, and Herzegovina to rise up against the Ottomans. When the Ottoman Empire moved some Circassian families, the Bulgarians objected, leading to a revolution that was backed by Russia and Austria with weapons and financial support. The Ottoman Empire was able to quell the uprising, which led European nations to circulate rumors about the atrocities committed by the Ottomans against Christians, despite the reality being quite the opposite. These rumors influenced European public sentiment against the Ottoman Empire, prompting European governments to call for stringent actions against the Ottomans, including granting self-governance to the Bulgarians and appointing a Christian governor for them.

The Russians, Germans, and Austrians pushed the Serbs and Montenegrins to wage war against the Ottomans, as Russia aimed to expand its borders towards Bulgaria. Meanwhile, Austria sought to extend its territory towards Bosnia and Herzegovina, promising support to these nations, including the Prince of Montenegro. Russian soldiers began to secretly flow into Serbia and Montenegro, and the Ottoman Empire managed to defeat the Serbs and their allies. This prompted European nations to intervene, demanding a ceasefire, or else a larger war would ensue.

Delegates from European nations convened in Istanbul and suggested to the state regarding its security: to split the Bulgarian territories into two provinces, appointing Christian governors, to establish an international committee to carry out the resolutions, to extend these privileges to the principalities of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well, and for the state to relinquish certain lands to Serbia and Montenegro. However, the Ottoman Empire dismissed these proposals and negotiated a separate peace with the Turks, leading to the retreat of its forces from Serbia, while the Ottoman and Serbian flags were hoisted as a symbol of Ottoman authority. Sultan Abdul Hamid II was convinced that the Western powers aimed to bring about the fall of the Ottoman Empire. In his memoirs, he stated: (During the conference of the great powers held in Istanbul, I observed their intentions, which were not as they claimed to secure the rights of Christian subjects, but rather to ensure their autonomy, followed by efforts for their complete independence, ultimately leading to the division of the Ottoman Empire.

They were working on dividing this goal into two aspects: inciting Christian families and disturbing the peace, thus these countries can protect them. Second, advocating conditionality to create division among ourselves, and unfortunately, they managed to find supporters among us who would serve both purposes. Sadly, some educated Ottoman youth could not distinguish between easy implementation and constitutional governance in a nation with national unity, and the impossibility of such governance in countries lacking national unity.

An Excerpt from ‘Ad-Dawlah Al-Uthmaaniyyah Awaamil An-Nuhood Wa Asbaab As-Suqoot. 6/451-453

Allah descends in a manner that befits His Majesty-free from all resemblance to the creation

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful The Bestower of Mercy

The student should memorise the text of some of the ahadith transmitted in this subject matter in order to protect himself, rebut the falsehood of the people of falsehood, and the false explanations and distortions of the people of falsehood.

The ahadith to be memorised are:

The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: ”Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven every night, during the last third part of night and says: ‘Who is asking me; who is calling upon Me; who is seeking My Forgiveness”’. [1]

The above statement cannot be uttered except by Allah. It cannot be uttered by an angel because if an angel was to say this, he would have declared himself a partner to Allah.

The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: ”Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven every night, during the last third part of the night and says: ”I am Al-Malik; I am Al-Malik”. [2]

The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said that when our Lord descends, He says: ”My slaves are not to ask anyone besides Me”. [3]

This statement cannot be uttered by an angel, rather only Allah can utter this statement.  Imam Abdul Ghaniyy Al-Maqdisi, may Allah have mercy upon him, mentioned these two ahadith and further stated that they cut off the false interpretation of every false interpreter and the distortion of every distorter. Therefore, if the people of falsehood say that it is an angel that descends, these two ahadith will show the falsehood of their interpretations and distortions. Likewise, all these ahadith about the Nuzul state: ”Our Lord descends” and not ”An angel of our Lord descends”.

pro-Jihadi Gospels of a genocide – Assisting Yisrael Medad in fully embracing the essence of reality

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah, The Exalted, said:

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah; even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allah is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you may avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do. [An-Nisaa. 135]

Indeed, the first point we want to clarify to Yisrael Medad is that our Lord has instructed us to uphold justice and bear witness to the truth, no matter who we are addressing, including Yisrael. We do not resort to emotional appeals, a victim mentality, racial or tribal affiliations, or nationalist ties to dismiss the truth and advocate for our own people based on falsehood, as this brings about the wrath and discontent of our creator. More information can be found at this link:

A measure of genuine fear of Allah connected to establishing justice

In this brief article, we aim to address Yisrael’s piece by focusing on what is clear rather than relying on speculation, assumptions, or exaggerations. This kind of behavior is often associated with numerous Zionist journalists and academics, particularly during the recent conflict in Palestine.

[1] Yisrael said: “Are Israelis facilitating an anti-Israel blood libel? – opinion [end of quote]

Our response: Is the administration of Netanyahu, comprised of Zionists, providing their critics with unequivocal evidence concerning their inhumane actions since October 7? – opinion.

[2] Yisrael said: Jews can be very dangerous to other Jews. In Medieval times, apostates turned on their former co-religionists. Nicholas Donin brought charges against the Talmud before Pope Gregory IX, which resulted in the burning of twenty-four cartloads of tomes in 1442. Another, Pablo Christiani, lost a public dispute with Nahmanides in Barcelona before James I of Aragon in 1263, and then denounced the Talmud before Pope Clement IV the following year. [end of quote]

Our response: Among all groups of people, there exist certain factions that may pose a threat to others; however, this perception of danger can often be quite subjective. Consequently, each assertion of danger needs to be scrutinized to determine if it is genuine, fabricated, or if it is being used subjectively to hinder others from providing honest accounts against their community, ethnicity, clan, or tribe. Therefore, in relation to the statement made in quote number 2 by Yisrael, our primary focus should be that the discussion of apostasy between Jews and Christians ought to be referred back to the revelation for judgment, rather than relying on personal beliefs and desires. This is crucial because, following the arrival of the final Messenger, anyone who does not accept him is condemned to eternal fire. Read more at this link:

[4] Kufr (Disbelief) and Its Destructive Consequences!

Secondly, regarding the specifics of the incident referenced by Yisrael in quote 2, if it was founded on falsehoods, then it is clear that even for those who do not believe in the final Messenger, it remains unacceptable to lie about them. This applies whether the liar is a stranger, an apostate from Islam, a Muslim, a Jew, a Hindu, or anyone else, including adversaries of the victim. The crux of the matter is whether the statements made were true or false; if they are true, they should be recognised as such without inflicting oppression on any member of humanity. Conversely, if the incident involved lies, misrepresentation, and the concealment of facts aimed at putting those Jews in jeopardy, the wrongdoing of the liar would be deemed even more abhorrent. Despite the well-documented confusion, hidden agendas, and deep-seated animosity among the people of the scripture in history, we do not support any form of injustice. Therefore, while we cannot definitively determine the particulars of that event, we express the above in general terms until concrete evidence regarding the incident is presented. Allah, The Exalted, said:

ا أنزل الله من كتاب وأمرت لأعدل بينكم الله ربنا وربكم لنا أعمالنا ولكم أعمالكم لا حجة بيننا وبينكم الله يجمع بيننا وإليه المصير

So unto this (religion of Islam, alone and this Qur’an) then invite (people) (O Muhammad ), and Istaqim [(i.e. stand firm and straight on Islamic Monotheism by performing all that is ordained by Allah (good deeds, etc.), and by abstaining from all that is forbidden by Allah (sins and evil deeds, etc.)], as you are commanded, and follow not their desires but say: “I believe in whatsoever Allah has sent down of the Book [all the holy Books, this Qur’an and the Books of the old from the Tawrat (Torah), or the Injeel (Gospel) or the Pages of Ibrahim (Abraham)] and I am commanded to do justice among you, Allah is our Lord and your Lord. For us our deeds and for you your deeds. There is no dispute between us and you. Allah will assemble us (all), and to Him is the final return. [Ash-Shuraa. 15]

[وَأُمِرۡتُ لِأَعۡدِلَ بَيۡنَكُمُ‌ۖ – and I am commanded to do justice among you], Meaning, when passing judgement regarding that which you have differed between yourselves. Therefore, your enmity and hatred does not prevent me from judging with justice between you. And part of justice is that when judging between people who make different statements – amongst the people of the Scripture and others – one accepts what they possess of truth and reject what they possess of falsehood. [Tafsir As-Sadi]

[3] Yisrael said: A more modern example was the meeting that bi-nationalist promoter Judah L. Magnes had on May 4, 1948, with US secretary of state George Marshall. Magnes insisted “the Jewish community in Palestine is an artificial development” and “the money now contributed to the Jewish community was being used solely for war which eats up everything. Furthermore, he was “certain that, if contributions from the United States were cut off, the Jewish war machine in Palestine would come to a halt for lack of financial fuel.” The next morning he repeated his thoughts to president Harry S. Truman. [end of quote]

Our response: Our goal on this point 3 is not to delve into the political disputes between the Jewish community and those among them who oppose Zionism. Instead, our primary focus is to confront the harmful tactics employed by Netanyahu and his associates, which involve distorting history and laying claim to what is not rightfully theirs, ultimately leading to acts of genocide. Furthermore, certain American ideologues and demagogues behave as if they have lost all ability to distinguish betwen right and wrong when required to do so, but we are well aware that their actions stem from a historical collaboration of misinterpreted texts and corrupt political alliances. [4] Yisrael said: Subsequent to the charge that Israel’s government is engaging in a “hobby” of killing Gaza babies, former prime minister Ehud Olmert joined the fray and told the BBC that Israel’s actions in Gaza are “close to a war crime.” In a May 27 column in Haaretz, he referred to the current government as a “criminal gang” led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

That, seemingly, wasn’t sufficient enough media exposure, so the former prime minister talked with the New Yorker magazine. That publication’s June 6 headline read, “Why Ehud Olmert Thinks His Country Is Committing War Crimes.”

Olmert’s opinion is that there is “no purpose that can justify the expansion of these military activities.” He told his interviewer, Isaac Chotiner, that “The perception in Israel is that this is a personal war or illegitimate war that is being conducted exclusively because of the political interests of the prime minister. This is a crime.”

For good measure, he added that there is an “understanding that Netanyahu doesn’t want to reach an agreement with Hamas for the release of the hostages.” Not only are Netanyahu and the IDF indiscriminately killing Gaza civilians but, it would appear, Israel’s hostages as well, as Olmert spins it. [end of quote]

Our response: The entire world observes the actions of the Netanyahu Regime, yet you find yourself preoccupied with the opinions of a select few among you? Should you not be more concerned about your standing before your Lord than the fear of criticism grounded in reality? Both Jews and non-Jews are aware of the unfolding events; anyone possessing a modicum of common sense and a shred of humanity can clearly discern the actions of Netanyahu in Gaza. It is as evident as the midday sun. They are engaging in war crimes and genocide! This is an undeniable truth, even if Ehud were to assert otherwise. Regardless of Ehud’s perspective, your warfare is recognised and clearly perceived as excessive, driven by an agenda to eradicate all Palestinians from their homeland, which entails murder, starvation, maiming, deceit, playing the victim, and distorting the narrative. This alone constitutes a crime, irrespective of what any influential figure may proclaim in favour or against Netanyahu. As for the actions of Hamas on October 7 against non-combatants and unarmed civilians, such behaviour cannot be justified by anyone possessing common sense or even a modicum of decency. Listen to this link for the rebuke aimed at Netanyahu’s Administration and Hamas by Prince Turki Al-Faisal, may Allah preserve him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3-cWyFcK5w

Therefore, should you believe that there is indeed spinning at play, you are fully entitled to hold that view and engage in discourse with those whom you deem responsible for such spinning. Nevertheless, the undeniable truth remains that Netanyahu’s actions towards the Palestinians are as evident as the midday sun, and they can only be described as genocide.

[5] Yisrael said: Chotiner does inform the reader that “allegations of corruption cut short his political career” and that. Olmert “did serve more than a year in prison.” Odd, though, that simple “allegations” managed to imprison him.

THE PERCEPTIVE reader will notice that Olmert employed the tactic of shifting his evidence by reshuffling the deck. In what “Israel” has that “perception” of his occurred? How many people are involved? Of what ideological stripe are they? Do they possess personal interests? Such a portrayal of the current situation is tantamount to a treacherous Lord Haw-Haw performance.

Perhaps Olmert himself was seeking to resurrect his own public memory, like others. For example, in an interview with Israeli outlet Ynet on May 9, Moshe Ya’alon, a former defense minister, joined in the discordant chorus and said Israel was carrying out a campaign of “ethnic cleansing” in Gaza.

He attacked the current military chief of staff, Eyal Zamir, saying he was not stopping “clearly illegal orders” and was ordering “his soldiers to be war criminals.” Adamantly, he said, “Call it ethnic cleansing, call it transfer, call it deportation – it’s a war crime.” To Channel 12 news, Ya’alon said: “I don’t say anymore [that the IDF is] the most moral army in the world.”

These types of charges are not new. Those with long memories can recall the late Meretz MKs Shulamit Aloni and Yossi Sarid outside then prime minister Menachem Begin’s residence in Jerusalem. They were at a late September 1982 demonstration protesting the conduct of the First Lebanon War.

From those gathered, cries of “Begin is a murderer” could be clearly heard. Right-of-center politicians in Israel rarely merit anything less than vicious besmirching from their political rivals, especially when the latter are in the opposition. [end of quote]

Our response: Response: These are merely your internal issues, which bear no relation to us. The real question is whether your retaliatory war is justified in its execution, especially considering that you have been the instigators of this conflict since 1948, accompanied by acts of brutality. Regardless of the political, ideological, or personal disputes among you and your various interests, the undeniable truth is that Netanyahu is perpetrating genocide. Furthermore, whatever transpired during Olmert’s administration, all participants in the Zionist endeavour share responsibility, albeit to varying degrees. Nevertheless, the current emphasis must be on the fact that Netantahu is engaging in genocide, unequivocally. To label the Zionist IDF as the most moral army is one of the greatest falsehoods of our time and a profound affront to the intelligence of anyone possessing even a modicum of common sense. How can such claims be made when your military has, since 1948, brutalised, murdered, displaced, and treated the Palestinian people in the most callous manner, all while the world looks on? Since 1948, their actions are well-documented, regardless of whether some among you have opposed them at times or if such opposition is merely a quest for political gain. All of this is irrelevant to the fact that Netanyahu is engaged in genocide.

[6] Yisrael said: Jewish in-fighting rarely remains inside, however. It quite often grants outsiders the ammunition to justify their hate and biases.

IT IS in this divisive internal atmosphere that we could read on June 10 that UN experts issued a report that Israel is committing an “extermination” in Gaza by killing in schools. Those “experts,” of course, were members of the infamous Independent International Commission of Inquiry of Palestinian Territory. Their next report (there have been at least seven) is already out and is to be presented at the Geneva-based UN Human Rights Council’s 59th session this or next month. [end of quote]

Our response: No race, clan, tribe, religious, or political group is devoid of moments of unity or discord, whether these arise from truth or falsehood, or are driven by the sinister intentions of a faction among them. Nevertheless, this does not alter the undeniable reality of Netanyahu’s malevolent actions against the Palestinians, which are evident to all. These actions may be rightly scrutinised by fellow Jews seeking accountability, or they may be wrongfully exploited by others to fuel anti-Semitic sentiments. Thus, the crux of the matter lies in achieving a fair equilibrium, ensuring that Netanyahu is held responsible for his atrocious acts by all nations and organisations, while simultaneously guarding against the temptation to punish these actions through the lens of anti-Semitic bias. Both genocide and anti-semitism are crimes in the sight of Allah. Read below:

[7] Yisrael said: Already back on May 21, we were informed that UN experts were calling on the Security Council to protect women and girls in Gaza as Israel’s “attacks [possess]… distinctly gendered consequences.” They added that “The devastation experienced by women, girls, and entire communities is not incidental – it is the consequence of intentional policies and actions by Israel.”

That new report added that “Israeli authorities have particularly targeted female educators and students, intending to deter women and girls from activism in public places.” How could Israel particularly single out females? What new technological advances exist for this new blood libel to emerge? [end of quote]

Our response: This is an astonishing display of victim mentality! No matter the specifics of some individuals’ actions in the IDF, it is abundantly clear to all that they have been responsible for the deaths of doctors, teachers, journalists, and others. This is widely recognised in this conflict. They have taken more lives in these professions than anyone else in recent history. Additionally, just as Netanyahu and his associates consistently exploit anti-Semitism to obscure their misdeeds and maintain a victim narrative, they have also begun to invoke this ‘blood libel card’ whenever they are justly accused of brutality. Regarding the particular targeting of women, whether this is precisely documented or not is not the crux of the matter; rather, what must be addressed is the killing that has evidently placed all doctors in harm’s way. Thus, whether the Zionist forces under Netanyahu specifically target females is irrelevant; their crimes are thoroughly documented.

[8] Yisrael said: Previously, we were fed fantasies of dogs who could sniff out Arabs from Jews as well as other animal conspiracies from sharks to wild boars to dolphins doing our bidding. In July 2009, Hamas charged Israeli intelligence services with supplying chewing gum to Gaza that “boosts the sex drive in order to corrupt the young,” a regurgitation of the 1997 tale spread by the Palestinian Authority of strawberry-flavored chewing gum laced with progesterone.

These Israeli voices are influencing Jews abroad. Rick Jacobs, president of America’s Union for Reform Judaism, wrote an op-ed for The Washington Post on May 12 urging Israel to abandon a policy of “starving Gazan civilians,” calling it “immoral.” Needless to say, Israel is not engaged in such a policy.

The current self-inflicted crucifixion of the Jewish state may not have started with Jews, but by assisting the libelous pro-jihadi gospels of a “genocide” and such, they lend a hand to nailing us all to a new cross of antisemitism. [end of quote]

Our response: The responsibility to provide evidence lies with the claimant. Any accusations made against Netanyahu’s regime must be substantiated with proof; otherwise, we shall dismiss them. However, this does not negate the undeniable reality that they are engaging in acts of genocide. A criminal is answerable for his offenses, yet he is not deemed guilty of other alleged crimes, despite the presence of sinister suspicions surrounding him. Consequently, due to their transgressions, we harbour a dark suspicion regarding them, but nothing can be attributed to them unless it is verified and confirmed with evidence. Regarding the genocide, which is as evident as the midday sun, we acknowledge it and hold them responsible. As for what they perceive as mere fantasies of the past, we shall leave that to them and those who accuse them until it is clarified in the future; however, their other offenses since 1948 are glaringly apparent to all. Their deliberate starvation of the Gazans is observed by everyone, whether Jewish or non-Jewish. Even if universally denied, it remains an undeniable truth. Thus, the basis of the self-inflicted crucifixion is not caused by anyone other than those who commit acts that are recognised and condemned by all who possess even a modicum of humanity, irrespective of their race. No matter who articulates the truth of their actions, whether misguided pro-jihadis like ISIS, Al-Qaeda, or others, or anyone else, it remains a fact if the evidence is presented. The sensible hold them accountable solely for their crimes while also combating antisemitism, for both their actions and antisemitism are deemed unlawful in the sight of the Creator. The pro-Zionists will not be allowed to hijack the narrative InShaAllah whenever it is necessary to respond to them.

And Allah knows best

It is evident what gradually contributes to the decline of the wealthiest and most powerful nations

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah, The Almighty, said:

As for ‘Ad, they were arrogant in the land without right, and they said: “Who is mightier than us in strength?” See they not that Allah, Who created them was mightier in strength than them. And they used to deny Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, revelations, etc.)! [Fussilat 15]

Imam As-Sadi, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

This is a detailed account of the story of the two nations, Aad and Thamud. As for Aad, they were arrogant in the earth, together with their disbelief in Allah, their denial of His signs, and their rejection of His messengers. They subdued those – the servants of Allah – around them, oppressed them and were self-amazed with their strength.

[وَقَالُوا۟ مَنْ أَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً – They said: “Who is mightier than us in strength?”] In response, Allah reminded them of a fundamental truth known to all: [أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّ اللَّهَ الَّذِي خَلَقَهُمْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً – See they not that Allah, Who created them was mightier in strength than them]. If Allah did not create them, they would not have existed. Had they contemplated their situation in a correct manner, they would not have been deceived by their own power, thus, Allah punished them in a manner befitting the strength in which they had placed their misguided trust. [1]

Imam Al-Baghawi, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

The statement of the Almighty: [فَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ وَقَالُوا۟ مَنْ أَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً – As for Aad, they were arrogant in the land without right, and they said: “Who is mightier than us in strength?”] This was in response to Prophet Hud, peace be upon him, who warned them of impending punishment. They arrogantly claimed that their strength could protect them from such retribution, boasting of their tall and powerful physiques. In response, Allah said to them: [أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَهُمْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَكَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ – See they not that Allah, Who created them was mightier in strength than them. And they used to deny Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, revelations, etc.)] [2]

Imam Ibn Kathir, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

Allah, The Exalted, said: [فَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ – As for Aad, they were arrogant in the land without right]- Meaning, rebellious, insolent and disobedient.

[وَقَالُوا۟ مَنْ أَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً – They said: “Who is mightier than us in strength?] Meaning, believing that their physical strength and capabilities would protect them from Allah’s punishment. [أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَهُمْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً – – See they not that Allah, Who created them was mightier in strength than them]- Meaning, they did not reflect on the fact that Allah, who created them, is indeed stronger than they are! Did they not contemplate the One whom openly declared their enmity against? For indeed, He (Allah) is Al-Adheem (Footnote a) who created all things and endowed them with the strength to exist, and His punishment is indeed severe. [3]

Imam Al-Qurtubi, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

The statement of Allah, The Exalted:[فَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ – As for Aad, they were arrogant in the land] – without right – towards the servants of Allah, (towards) Prophet Hud, peace be upon him, and those who believed in him. [وَقَالُوا۟ مَنْ أَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً – They said: “Who is mightier than us in strength?] They were deceived by their physical stature when faced with the threat of punishment, saying: “We are able to avert the punishment from ourselves by virtue of our strength”. This was due to their tall and mighty physiques. It has already been stated in the explanation of Surah Al-A’raf” (based on a report) by Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him and his father, that the tallest among them was one hundred cubits, while the shortest was sixty cubits. In response, Allah said to them: [أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَهُمْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً – See they not that Allah, Who created them was mightier in strength than them] and in ability, rather, the ability of a person is contingent upon Allah’s power, and indeed, Allah is the most capable. [4]

So We sent upon them furious wind in days of evil omen (for them) that We might give them a taste of disgracing torment in this present worldly life, but surely the torment of the Hereafter will be more disgracing, and they will never be helped. [Fussilat 16]

Abu Musa, may Allah be pleased with him, said, Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: “Verily, Allah will give respite to the oppressor until when He seizes him and he cannot escape”. Then he [i.e. the Messenger] recited the verse:

[وَكَذَٲلِكَ أَخۡذُ رَبِّكَ إِذَآ أَخَذَ ٱلۡقُرَىٰ وَهِىَ ظَـٰلِمَةٌ‌ۚ إِنَّ أَخۡذَهُ ۥۤ أَلِيمٌ۬ شَدِيدٌ – Such is the Seizure of your Lord when He seizes the (population of) towns while they are doing wrong. Verily, His Seizure is painful, and severe]. [Hud. 102]

Al-Allamah Zaid Bin Hadi Al-Mad’khali, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

There is a warning against oppression in this lofty hadith- oppression against oneself through different levels and types of sins. The one whom Allah has given wealth, good health, safety and stability while he persists upon sin, this is Allah’s plan in stages against this sinner because he deserves it- وَلَا يَظۡلِمُ رَبُّكَ أَحَدً۬ا – And your Lord treats no one with injustice. [Al-Kahf. 49]

There’s a warning – in this hadith – against oppressing others because the one who oppresses others is called an oppressor and the one who oppresses himself through sins is called an oppressor. Therefore, the one who oppresses himself and the one who oppresses others are (exposed) to great danger in this life, in the grave and in the afterlife. If Allah gives him respite and does not hasten punishment against him, then indeed Allah reserves for him the punishment he deserves due to the statement of Allah:

[وَكَذَٲلِكَ أَخۡذُ رَبِّكَ إِذَآ أَخَذَ ٱلۡقُرَىٰ وَهِىَ ظَـٰلِمَةٌ‌ۚ إِنَّ أَخۡذَهُ ۥۤ أَلِيمٌ۬ شَدِيدٌ – Such is the Seizure of your Lord when He seizes the (population of) towns while they are doing wrong. Verily, His Seizure is painful, and severe].

This is how the hadith is in agreement with the noble verse, that if Allah gives respite to an oppressor, it is not that Allah has neglected his affair. If Allah delays punishment against him in the worldly life, Allah multiplies it for him in the hereafter, thus, he is recompensed based on what he did and the evil deeds he committed. Allah is the possessor of (perfect) wisdom, because He recompenses a doer based on his deed- good recompense for good deeds and evil recompense for evil deeds. [5]

Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

Everyone with a bit of (sound) intellect knows that the corruption of the world and its ruin occurs due to giving precedence to opinion over the divine revelation and (vain) desires over sound intellect. These two corrupt motives are not entrenched in a heart except that its destruction becomes inevitable nor in a nation except that its affairs are completely corrupted. [6]

The Imam also said:

Whoever contemplates the state of the world will recognise that every instance of rectification stems from Tawhid, singling out Allah in worship and obedience to His Messenger, Muhammad. Conversely, every form of evil, trial, hardship, scarcity in sustenance, and subjugation by adversaries, among other issues, arises from opposing the Messenger and the pursuit of paths other than those prescribed by Allah and His Messenger. Whoever truly  contemplates this matter and examines the world’s conditions from its inception until the time Allah ends it, he will realise this about himself and others, both in general and in specific situations. Indeed, there is no might or power except with Allah – The Most High, The Most Great. [7]

Imam As-Sadi, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

Industrialisation and modern inventions; everyone has participated in it – the righteous, the wicked, the believer and the disbeliever. As for religion and manners in this era, it has greatly declined. When this industrial advancement is devoid of (sound) religion and faith, it became a great harm from two angles: firstly, it beguiled many people, who – due of their ignorance – think that worldly advancement is proof to show that its people are more worthy of achieving every good than others. They are clearly misguided because a person maybe from the most skillful in matters related to the material world, whilst he is one of the most ignorant people in matters related to the (sound) religion, virtuous manners and the (other) beneficial affairs in this life and the next. Secondly, when these inventions are devoid of (sound) religion, its mercy and wisdom, it becomes a great disaster for humankind due to the wars that resulted from them- killing, destruction and other matters related to it. Its overseers and scholars are unable to laydown – for humankind -a stable, just and good life; rather they have not ceased moving from one miserable state to another. This is inevitable and the continuous state of affairs shows this. Therefore, all good is found in the sound religion and all evil is found in rejecting and willfully denying (Allah, His Messengers, His Laws, Guidance, Commands, Prohibitions etc).

Indeed, it is impossible to rectify the souls and acquire virtue solely through the worldly sciences. Experience and clearly witnessed circumstances are the greatest proofs regarding this affair, because despite its advancement and vastness it has been unable to nurture and rectify the souls, which is the determinant of (sound) rectification and success.

The Remedy: What the Religion of Islam propagates is that which is entrusted with this rectification; it is what will guide the thoughts towards the truthful and authentic sources of knowledge, guide the actions of the people towards good and prevent them from evil. Islam is The Rectifier of the Creeds and Manners- the thing that cultivates the thoughts, urges towards virtuousness and prevents from depravity.

The essence of that which the religion calls to – regarding belief in the Unseen, which includes belief in Allah and that which He possesses of Names, Attributes and Actions of perfection; belief in Angels, belief in recompense for one’s good and bad deeds in this life and the next, which cannot be known except through the Messengers, is what acquaints a person with the fact that rectification – in reality – is not possible through other than sound belief and the religion of Islam. Thus, even if the worldly sciences rectify (some) matters based upon that which people know in detail, it will still not be equal to the knowledge of the Messengers- neither will it reach that which is reached through the knowledge of the Messengers nor can it influence the souls in the manner in which the knowledge of the Messengers has done, because indeed the souls do not voluntarily submit except through belief in Allah, belief in His Angels, belief in His Books, belief in His Messengers and belief in the hereafter. And without this, voluntary submission is impossible, as is well known regarding human nature. [8]

The followers of truth will remain until the end of time. The Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:

A group of people from my Umma will always remain manifest upon the truth. They will not be harmed by those who forsake them until Allah’s Command comes to pass (i.e. the Day of Judgment). [9]

Why Ponder Upon The Story of The Nations of Old?

Many similar mishaps [troubles, problems] of life were faced by nations that have passed away before you, so travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who disbelieved]. [Surah Aal Imraan. Verse 137]

Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

Indeed, there were nations like yourselves before you, so look to their evil end. You have to know that the reason behind their evil end was due to their disbelief in the revelations of Allah and disbelief in Allah’s Messengers. They were the forefathers and you are the descendants. The main affair that connects you to each other is your disbelief and the ruling on that disbelief is destruction. [10]

Imam Muhammad Bin Salih Al-Uthaymin, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

If it is said, “What is the benefit in narrating to us the stories of the destroyed nations despite the fact that this Ummah will not be completely destroyed in a manner similar to the destruction of the previous nations before it?”

The Answer: Indeed, this has two benefits: The first benefit is a clarification of Allah’s blessings upon us that the occurrence of a complete destruction is removed from us, and that were it not for Allah’s Benevolence we would have been deserving of it. Second, the likeness of the punishment they received may occur in the hereafter for the one who did what they did, if punishment was not received in the worldly life. And this may be understood from the statement of Allah: “Such is the Seizure of your Lord when He seizes the population of towns while they are doing wrong. Verily, His Seizure is painful and severe. Indeed in that (there) is a sure lesson for those who fear the torment of the Hereafter.” So what is apparent from this Aayah is that what is similar to the punishment they received will happen in the Hereafter, and Allaah knows best. [11]

Reflections on some statements of Al-Allamah Rabee Bin Hadi Al-Madkhali 83

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Imam Ahmad, may Allah have mercy on him, said: “It is not permissible to fight against the ruler, nor rebelled against by anyone. Whoever does so is an innovator, upon other than the Sunnah and the (correct) path.”

Al-Allamah Rabee Bin Hadi, may Allah preserve him, commented as follows:

This is because rebelling against him contradicts the established texts from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and opposes a mighty principle from the principles of Ahl As-Sunnah Wal Jama’ah. Even if he (the ruler) is a disbeliever, he should not be rebelled against unless there is ability to do so, and there is a preponderent benefit, without a preponderent corruption. In such a case, if it is possible to remove him, that is acceptable; otherwise, the basis of the matter is to exercise patience. As for if he (the ruler) is a Muslim, as long as he remains within the fold of Islam and prays, it is not permissible to rebel against him unless clear disbelief is witnessed, thus, he exits (Islam) under the conditions mentioned. Allah Can Never Challenged

Allah, The Most High, said:

Those before them indeed plotted, but Allah struck at the foundation of their building, and then the roof fell down upon them, from above them, and the torment overtook them from directions they did not perceive. Then, on the Day of Resurrection, He will disgrace them and will say: “Where are My (so called) ‘partners’ concerning whom you used to disagree and dispute (with the believers, by defying and disobeying Allah)?” Those who have been given the knowledge (about the Torment of Allah for the disbelievers) will say: “Verily! Disgrace this Day and misery are upon the disbelievers. [Al-Nahl. 26-27]

[قَدۡ مَڪَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ – Those before them indeed plotted]: The Mufassiroon say that this refers to Namrood who built a tall tower in order to climb – as he claimed – the heavens and fight its inhabitants.

[فَأَتَى ٱللَّهُ بُنۡيَـٰنَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡقَوَاعِدِ فَخَرَّ عَلَيۡہِمُ ٱلسَّقۡفُ مِن فَوۡقِهِمۡ – but Allah struck at the foundation of their building, and then the roof fell down upon them, from above them]: The Mufassiroon say: Allaah sent a wind which flung the top of the tower to the sea and the rest was destroyed. [وَأَتَٮٰهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ مِنۡ حَيۡثُ لَا يَشۡعُرُونَ – and the torment overtook them from directions they did not perceive]: Meaning, from where they thought they were safe. [ثُمَّ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَـٰمَةِ يُخۡزِيهِمۡ – Then, on the Day of Resurrection, He will disgrace]: Meaning, disgraced with punishment. [1]

Water, the Sea, and All That In The Heavens and The Earth Under Allah’s Absolute Control

Allah, The Exalted, said:

Allah it is He Who has subjected to you the sea, that ships may sail through it by His Command, and that you may seek of His Bounty, and that you may be thankful. And has subjected to you all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth; it is all as a favour and kindness from Him. Verily, in it are signs for a people who think deeply. [Al-Jathiyah 12-13]

Allah, The Exalted, said:

Allah is He Who has created the heavens and the earth and sends down water (rain) from the sky, and thereby brought forth fruits as provision for you; and He has made the ships to be of service to you, that they may sail through the sea by His Command; and He has made rivers (also) to be of service to you. And He has made the sun and the moon, both constantly pursuing their courses, to be of service to you; and He has made the night and the day, to be of service to you. And He gave you of all that you asked for, and if you count the Blessings of Allah, never will you be able to count them. Verily! Man is indeed an extreme wrong-doer, – a disbeliever (an extreme ingrate, denies Allah’s Blessings by disbelief, and by worshipping others besides Allah, and by disobeying Allah and His Prophet Muhammad). [Ibrahim 32-34]

Allah, The Mighty and Majestic, said:
وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَن يُرْسِلَ ٱلرِّيَاحَ مُبَشِّرَٰتٍ وَلِيُذِيقَكُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِهِۦ وَلِتَجْرِىَ ٱلْفُلْكُ بِأَمْرِهِۦ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

And among His Signs is this, that He sends the winds as glad tidings, giving you a taste of His Mercy (i.e. rain), and that the ships may sail at His Command, and that you may seek of His Bounty, in order that you may be thankful. [Al-Rum 46]

Allah, The Most High, said:

See you not that Allah sends down water (rain) from the sky, and then the earth becomes green? Verily, Allah is the Most Kind and Courteous, Well-Acquainted with all things. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth. And verily, Allah He is Rich (Free of all wants), Worthy of all praise. See you not that Allah has subjected to you (mankind) all that is on the earth, and the ships that sail through the sea by His Command? He withholds the heaven from falling on the earth except by His Leave. Verily, Allah is, for mankind, full of Kindness, Most Merciful. It is He, Who gave you life, and then will cause you to die, and will again give you life (on the Day of Resurrection). Verily! Man is indeed an ingrate. [Al-Hajj 63-66]

Allah, The Most High, said:

And He it is Who has subjected the sea (to you), that you eat thereof fresh tender meat (i.e. fish), and that you bring forth out of it ornaments to wear. And you see the ships ploughing through it, that you may seek (thus) of His Bounty (by transporting the goods from place to place) and that you may be grateful. [Al-Nahl 14]

No One Can Be Benefitted or Harmed On Sea or Land Except By The Will of Allah

Allah, The Exalted, said:

And when harm touches you upon the sea, those that you call upon besides Him vanish from you except Him (Allah Alone). But when He brings you safely to land, you turn away (from Him). And man is ever ungrateful. Do you then feel secure that He will not cause a side of the land to swallow you up, or that He will not send against you a violent sand-storm? Then, you shall find no Wakil (guardian one to guard you from the torment). Or do you feel secure that He will not send you back a second time to sea and send against you a hurricane of wind and drown you because of your disbelief, then you will not find any avenger therein against Us? And indeed We have honoured the Children of Adam, and We have carried them on land and sea, and have provided them with At-Taiyibat (lawful good things), and have preferred them above many of those whom We have created with a marked preference. [Al-Israa 67-70]

What is said about the Titanic

From the outset, the Titanic captured the public’s imagination. At the time, it was one of the largest and most opulent ships in the world. It was also considered unsinkable, due to a series of compartment doors that could be closed if the bow was breached. However, four days into its maiden voyage in 1912, the Titanic struck an iceberg, and less than three hours later it sank. The drama of the eyewitness accounts and the great loss of life helped make it one of the most well-known tragedies in modern history. After the 1985 discovery of its wreckage, interest in the Titanic only increased, and its enduring appeal was evident with the huge success of James Cameron’s 1997 film about the doomed ocean liner. [2]

Take note of the word “unsinkable”! Firstly, a believer first and foremost supplicates to Allah during travel saying:

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ
وَإِنَّا إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ

Glory to Him Who has subjected this to us, and we could never have it (by our efforts). And verily, to Our Lord, we indeed are to return! [Al-Zukhruf. 13-14]

Secondly, a believer know that [لا حول ولا قوة الا بالله – There is neither might nor power (to alternate from one state to another nor move from one thing to another) except by Allah’s Will]. Al-Harwee, may Allah have mercy upon him, said that Abu Haytham, may Allah have mercy upon him, said, “Al-Hawl [might] is Al-Haraka [movement], meaning, there is no movement nor ability except by the Will of Allah”. It is said, “There is no might to repel evil nor any power to reach good except by the Will of Allah”. [3]

Therefore, anyone who referred to the Titanic as “unsinkable,” implying that it could not sink, this notion poses a challenge to Allah, as He alone controls all that is beneficial and harmful, safe and perilous. Nothing happens outside of Allah’s Will and Control.

The Ark of Nuh, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him

Allah said:

Before them (the Pagans of Mecca) did the people of Nūḥ deny (the truth). So they denied Our servant (again and again) and said: “A madman”, and he was repelled (with threats and abuse). So he invoked his Lord (saying): “I have been overcome (by their insolent rebellion), so aid (me).” So We opened the gates of heaven with water gushing forth (continually in abundance). And We caused the earth to gush forth with springs, and the water (of the heaven and the earth) met for a matter already determined (in the Book of Decrees of justice against the oppressors). And We carried him on a (ship) made of planks and nails (or: prows that cut through the water). Sailing under our watchful guard as reward for he (Nūḥ, of tremendous patience) who had been rejected. [Al-Qamar 9-15]

Allah said:

And he [Nuh (Noah)] said: “Embark therein (on the ark), in the Name of Allah will be its moving course and its resting anchorage. Surely, my Lord is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” So it (the ship) sailed with them amidst the waves like mountains, and Nuh (Noah) called out to his son, who had separated himself (apart), “O my son! Embark with us and be not with the disbelievers.” The son replied: “I will betake myself to a mountain, it will save me from the water.” Nuh (Noah) said: “This day there is no saviourfrom the Decree of Allah except him on whom He has mercy.” And a wave came in between them, so he (the son) was among the drowned. And it was said: “O earth! Swallow up your water, and O sky! Withhold (your rain).” And the water was diminished (made to subside) and the Decree (of Allah) was fulfilled (i.e. the destruction of the people of Nuh (Noah). And it (the ship) rested on Mount Judi, and it was said: “Away with the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing)!” [Hud 41-44]

With all this, O beloved little brothers and sisters, it is only Allah who holds dominion over everything. Every created entity is entirely under His supreme authority, and there is no strength or power except through Him. He alone was the one who rescued the believers and their ark along with Nuh, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, during that tremendous flood, and He is also the one who permitted the Titanic to sink. No ship is unsinkable, instead it either sinks or remains safe only by the Will of Allah, nor is any form of air travel invulnerable to crashes, for there is no strength or power except with Allah. May Allah bless you.

Assisting Gil Troy in fully embracing the essence of reality

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah, The Exalted, said:

Woe to Al-Mutaffifin [those who give less in measure and weight (decrease the rights of others)], those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, demand full measure, and when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due. Think they not that they will be resurrected (for reckoning), on a Great Day, the Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)? [Al-Mutaffifeen. 1-7]

[وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ – and when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due].

Imam As-Sadi, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

This noble verse shows that just as a person takes from the people what he is entitled to, it is also obligated to him to give them everything they are entitled to – whether related to wealth or mutual dealings; rather included in the generality of this verse are proofs and statements, because what usually takes place between those engaged in argumentation and discussion is that each of them is eager to establish his proofs, thus, it is obligated to a person to also make known the proofs possessed by the other person and examine the proofs of the other person just as he examines his own proofs. In relation to this affair, the justice of a person is known as opposed to whether he is afflicted with bigotry, his humility as opposed to being haughty, his common sense as opposed to foolish behaviour. We ask Allah bestow on us every good. [Tafsir As-Sadi]

In the aforementioned statement by Imam As-Sadi, may Allah have mercy upon him, he highlighted that those who are deemed guilty of giving insufficient weight in measurement include individuals who disregard others during disputes and do not wish for others to be acknowledged in the way they prefer to be acknowledged. In this article, we will strive to address the viewpoints of Gil Troy, a proponent of Zionism. We will make every effort to ensure fairness in this discourse and beseech Allah to forgive our deficiencies, both in instances where we ought to be more assertive against Gil and in those where we should exercise greater fairness.

Gil said: “The media’s war on Israel: The lies, the bias, and the real story – opinion”. [end of quote]

Our response: The Zionist media’s war on truth: The lies, the bias and the real story twisted to carry on with genocide – opinion.

Gil said: “Clearly, the mass media’s Massive Israeli Beat-Down is irresponsible and inflammatory. Journalists parrot propagandists, treating Hamas’s perjurious Ministry of Health as the Ministry of Truth. These shameless liars count 8,000 natural deaths and 23,000-plus terrorist deaths as innocent civilian casualties”. [end of quote]

Our response: Without a doubt, the violent actions of Netanyahu’s genocidal army are depicted in a way that downplays the barbarism they truly represent, as some in the Zionist media would have it. This portrayal is not only reckless but also highly irresponsible. Numerous Zionist journalists repeat the phrases of propagandists, framing the IDF and Netanyahu’s misleading statements as if they were the truth. These unscrupulous individuals categorize thousands of deliberate killings as simple accidents and countless civilian deaths as collateral damage, despite the fact that Netanyahu and certain members of his close Zionist circle openly employ genocidal language, and their forces act accordingly. Read below:

Highly abridged account of over 70 years of Palestinian Suffering-Reminder to Steven Drucker

Hamas’s actions against unarmed civilians and non-combatants on October 7th are indefensible; however, Netanyahu and his accomplices in these genocidal acts warrant an even more severe condemnation and must be held accountable for their deeds.

Gil said: “Panicking, terrorists shoot hungry Gazans to undermine long-overdue Israeli efforts to stop Hamas from hijacking aid, yet the media claims Israel massacred Palestinians. Then reporters romanticize illegal assaults on Israel’s legal naval blockade. The Washington Post hails Greta Thunberg’s “humanitarian boat.” There are row-boats, motor-boats – who knew boats had souls?” [end of quote]

Our response: Netanyahu’s merciless and genocidal forces inflict starvation upon Palestinians, set children ablaze, and murder journalists, healthcare workers, aid personnel, educators, and countless others, all while asserting that they represent the most ethical military. Meanwhile, certain Zionist journalists romanticize unlawful attacks on Palestinian rights, framing them as acts of self-determination, self-defense, and essential survival. Zionist war criminals have been observed flaunting Palestinian possessions, as some in the Zionist media conveniently ignore the reality, incessantly proclaiming, “We have a right to defend ourselves.” Yet, what the world witnesses are lifeless children and innocent men and women, starved and brutalised by an army cloaked in the guise of self-defense, deceitfully wielding the anti-Semitism narrative against any organisation or notable figure that calls for an end to their atrocious genocidal conduct.

Gil said: “Meanwhile, despite obsessive saturation coverage, the media neglects major stories. Even most Israel supporters don’t know that Israelis have scrambled for shelter 38,441 times since October 7. Or that Palestinians subsequently launched 9,096 “significant” terrorist attacks outside Gaza”. [end of quote]

Our response: In addition to obsessive denial, some in the Zionist press turn a blind eye to the numerous witnesses around the world regarding the atrocities committed by Netanyahu’s Zionist army. Even many supporters of Palestine are unaware of the exact number of Palestinians who have perished, how many remain buried beneath the debris, or the actions perpetrated by Netanyahu’s ruthless military in conjunction with Zionist settlers through their acts of terrorism within the occupied territories.

Gil said: Few noticed that Eli Sharabi, Hamas’s hostage for 491 days – and a Netanyahu critic – reported that his tormentors “cried almost every day. They cried into their mattresses and their pillows. They’re frustrated, they’re in despair. They can’t believe their worst nightmare – that this war should go on for such a long time.” Hmm. I thought Hamas is winning and Israel is stuck. [end of quote]

Our response: It is apparent to all that Netanyahu’s ruthless military is no longer genuinely engaged in combat against Hamas; instead, their true intention is to forcibly remove Palestinians from Gaza. This has led to a profound sense of frustration and despair, as their current agenda is widely recognised. They are unable to fathom that their worst fears have come to fruition, with their purported self-defense being laid bare as an insatiable and fervent wish to displace Palestinians from their homeland. How ironic. Is Netanyahu the compassionate figure, while the Palestinians are the beasts, as suggested by some of his closest associates?! Yet, the brutal and primal conduct of his Zionists military is as unmistakable as the sun at noon. Listen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3-cWyFcK5w

Gil stated regarding the media: “BY VIOLATING their professional standards, reporters helped inspire “Free Palestine” Jew-hunting from Washington, DC to Boulder, from Melbourne to Marseilles”. [end of quote]

Our response: By breaching their professional ethics, some Zionist journalists contribute to the incitement of genocidal rhetoric from Netanyahu and other Zionist offenders. Regarding the targeting of unarmed civilians and non-combatants, as well as acts of vandalism and hate crimes against Jews or any other groups, no rational individual would endorse such behavior, irrespective of the justification provided. No anti-Zionist journalist or pro-Palestinian advocate can overlook these offenses when it is evident that they have disregarded such transgressions; however, it is indisputable that the atrocities perpetrated by successive Zionist governments since 1948, along with the latest violence inflicted by the Netanyahu administration, are unparalleled in recent times. The only suffering that might be likened to this is the oppression endured by the Rohingya. Regardless of Zionist atrocities since 1948, anti-semitism is unlawful. Read:

Gil said: A vacuum of Israeli public diplomacy

Still, there’s a public diplomacy vacuum here. Israel’s government needs an intervention from those of us who have celebrated Israel and Zionism for years. We understand what works, and what doesn’t, with reporters, students, and voters worldwide. For starters, note the word “celebrate.” “Israel advocacy” assumes Israel needs defense attorneys. Pilates teaches “strengthen your core!” Celebrating Israel and Zionism cultivates the resilience that Jews and liberal democrats need so they can refute the lies that Hamas fabricates faster than it produces Kassam rockets. [end of quote]

Our response:  Still there’s a public diplomacy vacuum here. The humane governments need an intervention from those who have advocated Palestinian rights and denounce Zionist transgression for years. They are acquainted with the history of Zionism and their corrupt agendas, as well as their historical barkers. Read:

The Initial Rise and Gradual Impact of Christian Zionism on Some European Political Decision-makers

An Overview of Christian Zionism in America Since the Arrival of The Puritans

American Christian Zionists’ Media Initiatives Aimed at Influencing Public Opinion, With a Brief Mention of The Concept of Greater Israel

To begin with, it is important to highlight the term “celebrate”. The phrase “Palestinian advocacy” implies that Palestine requires nations to take immediate action against the Zionists. By celebrating Palestinian rights and strongly condemning Netanyahu’s administration, we foster the moral clarity essential for all civilised nations, enabling a more rapid rebuttal of the falsehoods propagated by Netanyahu and his henchmen, who continue to kill civilians and exploit the anti-Semitism narrative daily, all while enjoying impunity and engaging in cover-ups.

Gil said: “We need facts and narratives. The statistics cited above come from the invaluable, but largely unknown, Institute for National Security Studies war “tracker.” The Jewish People Policy Institute has distributed tens of thousands of my Essential Guide to October 7 in English, French, and now in Hebrew, because many supporters and undecideds seek balance and context. Admittedly, anyone concerned about Israel’s image faces the Jew-hater’s paradox. Anti-semites make the job feel hopeless – but if we lose hope, they win. No argument will eliminate Jew-hatred. This super-virus resists facts while poisoning minds. But we can’t stop spreading the truth and fighting the thought-pollution”. [end of quote]

Our response: We require both facts and narratives. The statistics presented by the Zionists are inherently untrustworthy, as they have been deceptive for more than 70 years. It is true that anyone who cares about the welfare of Palestine is familiar with the victim mentality that is consistently exhibited by Netanyahu and other Zionists, even as they perpetrate atrocities or willfully ignore them. These individuals contribute to a sense of despair, yet we must not abandon hope; we shall prevail. No argument can dispel Netanyahu’s supremacist ideologies towards Palestinians and his grotesque sense of entitlement. This chronic and fatal disease disregards facts while corrupting minds. Nevertheless, we must continue to disseminate the truth and combat the pollution of thought propagated by Netanyahu’s Zionism.

Gil said: “Hamas’s October 7 mega-atrocities in Israel proved that millions – billions! – hate Jews even when the enemy rampages. No public diplomacy campaign will sway them. Their pigheadedness, however, doesn’t justify saying, “They hate us, so let’s not bother defending ourselves.” And it certainly doesn’t justify leaders ranting about “erasing” Gaza in ways that undermine Israel’s moral standing”. [end of quote]

Our response: Netanyahu’s actions, carried out under the guise of retaliation and self-defense, have shown that millions—indeed billions—recognize the horrific deeds that Netanyahu and his associates are capable of committing. No level of public diplomacy will sway Netanyahu. However, Netanyahu’s stubbornness does not justify the statement, “They hold extreme hostility towards the Palestinians, so what can we do?” Moreover, it certainly does not support the assertion that Zionists have the right to defend themselves in a way that allows them to continue their genocidal actions, nor does it lend any credence to their claim of being the world’s most moral army.

Gil said: “Also, beware the Israel Indignation Industry, which overreacts any time Israel is criticized. Israel’s justified war remains complicated. In a three-dimensional urban battlefield, Israel’s military occasionally kills civilians unintentionally. Don’t claim Israel is perfect, given these perfectly awful conditions. Admit mistakes when made, while explaining the broader war aims, articulating “Just War Theory,” which justifies Israel’s war after a massive attack, and detailing Israel’s unprecedented attempts to minimize civilian casualties. Law professor Thane Rosenbaum, in his book, Beyond Proportionality: Israel’s Just War in Gaza, explains: In international law, “proportionality” doesn’t mean matching your casualties to the enemy’s. Proportionality asks: Are your military’s targets legitimate military targets?” [end of quote]

Our response: Be cautious of the Palestinian indignation industry, which tends to deny any exposure of Netanyahu’s brutal Zionist forces. The unjust actions and war crimes committed by Netanyahu stand as one of the most immoral acts in recent history. Therefore, it doesn’t matter if they assert that they do not claim perfection or label their actions as mistakes; the genocidal rhetoric is unmistakable. As for this law professor, we can assist him shred the papers of his research because we have the Sunnah of the final prophet, which serves as an infallible reference for all facets of life, including matters of war and conflict.

Gil said: So I conclude: When Hamas still hides command centers under hospitals – including the European Hospital in Khan Yunis – they’ve made civilian sites proper targets. MOST IMPORTANTLY, pivot. Hearts and minds aren’t won on defense. Israel – and everyone else – should make four essential, positive, arguments. Four Israeli arguments to win hearts and minds: First, Israel is defending America and the West, too. Future historians will place this war at the intersection of three global conflicts. October 7 was another searing date in the century-long Arab war to remove Jews from Palestine. Their “historicide” – denying our history – rationalizes waves of attacks, now led by Palestinian movements rejecting Israel’s legitimacy. [end of quote]

Our response: In conclusion, we observe that as Netanyahu’s Zionist death squad and continue to kill, maim, starve, and seize land for more than 70 years, they have established themselves as one of the most brutal and inhumane military forces in modern history. Arguments made by Netanyahu or his ilk will never resonate with rational individuals, as it is impossible for genocidal maniacs to persuade us of their virtue. We do not dispute your authentic historical narratives or your right to exist; instead, what reasonable people question are your fabrications and unfounded assertions of ownership and superiority. The Promised Land: A Brief Examination from a Religious and Historical Perspective

A Brief Discussion on the Attribution to the Offspring of Prophet Yaqub In Our Era

Gil said: Palestinians’ war against Israel also advances an anti-Western global jihad to expand Muslim influence. A French think-tank, Fondapol, cataloged 66,872 Islamist terrorist attacks between 1979 and April 2024 – including 9/11 – murdering 249,941 people. Finally, the Iranian mullahs bankroll these terrorists as part of Iran’s broader alliance of evil with Russia, China, and North Korea, opposing democracy. This long, messy war tests and teaches America and the West. Condemning Israel’s self-defense efforts exposes the West’s weakened defense posture. Growing Western intolerance for war’s bloodiness and chaos reveals that few have served in the military, while many prefer deluding themselves. Defending democracy, and your life, occasionally requires toughness. We collectively must be willing to risk killing by mistake to eliminate those trying to kill us on purpose. [end of quote]

Our response: The Palestinian fight against Zionist oppression since 1948 was not initially linked to Jihadism. Although Jihadist terrorists instill fear in everyone, including Muslim governments, the current discussion centers on how the violence and impunity of successive Zionist administrations foster further violence. This environment allows dubious Jihadists to seize the narrative and distort the genuine Palestinian cause. Just as many Zionists exploit the Holocaust, anti-Semitism, and hatred towards Jews to bolster their unfounded claims of supremacy and ownership of Palestinian land, Jihadists similarly co-opt the true Palestinian struggle to advance their misleading agendas of bloodshed and chaos under the guise of religion. Violence begets violence, plain and simple. This is an undeniable truth, regardless of what this French think tank—more aptly described as an intellectual fraud—may believe.

Regarding the Iranian mullahs, their path was established by Abdullah Bin Sabah, a well known trouble maker who was a Jew from Yemen. He masqueraded as a Muslim to create a heretical sect known as the Saba’iyyah, which is currently referred to as the Rafidah, with the majority of its followers residing in Iran. Read below:

Regarding your concerns with Russia and China, it would be prudent to confront them directly. You have entangled the West and persist in dragging them into your conflicts. Restrain Netanyahu to stop this genocide as well as halt the appropriation of land. This protracted and chaotic war illustrates that many American ideologues are merely a collection of sycophants to the Zionists. Condemning Zionists or any other group of wrongdoers does not reveal any weakness in other nations. An increasing intolerance for war is commendable, especially when the conflict is as excessive as this one being waged by Netanyahu under the guise of self-defense. Therefore, abstaining from military service is justified if it is solely to oppose transgression or is utilised for such purposes; to think otherwise is to embrace illusion itself. You are simply upholding Zionist self-importance and hubris, and nothing more. So called accidental killings are a part of Netanyahu’s ideology, rather, some Zionists have embraced the Hannibal doctrine.

Gil said: Fortunately, America’s investment in Israel keeps paying dividends. While degrading Hamas, crushing Hezbollah, weakening Iran, and thus triggering Bashar Assad’s collapse in Syria, Israel has pioneered medical advances, technological breakthroughs, and tactical innovations on the battlefield. Israel’s improvisations, from bullet-removing robots to pineapple-protein burn gels, to humanoid prosthetics, will protect thousands of soldiers and save millions of civilians in hospitals worldwide, for decades to come. Finally, by vindicating Zionism, this war advertises Jewish nationalism as a model form of liberal-democratic nationalism. In an age filled with books about “How Democracies Die,” Israel’s young generation of everyday superheroes demonstrates how to defend democracy – and build yourself up by being rooted in tradition, embraced by community, and committed to your country. This is the song we should be singing, led by the government if possible, but crooned by the people always, because it’s necessary – and true. [end of quote]

Our response: American ideologues, demagogues, rabble-rousers, and heretical evangelists—not the American populace at large—are the ones who invest in Netanyahu and his associates. This initiative is not aimed at diminishing or undermining Hamas; instead, it represents a coalition rooted in historical oppression, founded upon distorted and abrogated scriptures. Read below:

Regarding your progress on the battlefield and in various other domains, you are neither the first to attain such feats nor will you be the last. Your military prowess is wielded against the vulnerable—women and children—and that is hardly a source of pride. Allah said:

Neither Netanyahu nor his Zionist accomplices can ever find justification for their actions, nor can they serve as an example for any rational and civilized society. Since 1948, Zionism has revealed its true nature and malevolent essence, and this recent conflict is merely a continuation of the atrocities that have persisted since that year.

We ask Allah:

[37] Ascent and Decline of the Ottoman Empire

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Sultan Abdul Hamid II

He confronted his era amidst challenging conditions, severe crises, and a global conspiracy against the Ottoman Empire from both internal and external forces. He initiated state reforms grounded in Islamic teachings to avert European interference in state affairs, demonstrating a commitment to the implementation of Islamic law. He distanced writers and journalists from the capital and resisted all Western influences that contradicted the illustrious Islamic civilization in the provinces of the empire. He successfully established a robust intelligence apparatus to protect the state from internal threats and to gather intelligence on his adversaries abroad. He was also invested in the concept of Islamic unity, achieving notable results that unsettled Europeans, prompting them to strive for its disintegration. He spoke about his intelligence apparatus and clarified its purpose, stating:

According to Ottoman custom, the Sultan learns about the thoughts and grievances of the subjects through the governing apparatus, including his officials and judges on one side, and through the charitable institutions spread across the Ottoman Empire, with their leaders and ascetics on the other side, thus gathering all this information and building upon it”. He expanded his intelligence network by incorporating wandering ascetics into it. [Footnote a] This occurred when he ascended to the throne, and it continued thereafter.

He said: One day, I received information from our ambassador in London, Musurus Pasha, indicating that the former Grand Vizier, Sir Askar Hussain Aouni Pasha, had accepted funds from the English. If the Grand Vizier, who administers the country on behalf of the Sultan, is disloyal to his state, then it is imperative that his intelligence should inform the palace regarding his performance of duties. As a result, I felt disturbed and affected by this revelation. During that period, I met Mahmud Pasha, who provided me with insights about certain members of the Young Turks. The information he shared was of great importance. I asked him how he came by this information, and I learned that he had created a private intelligence network, financed by money, which included relatives of some Young Turks. These relatives would meet with their family members, listen to their discussions, and subsequently report back to him, for which he offered them compensation.

It is true that he is my sister’s husband; however, it is inappropriate for any of the state’s officials to establish independent intelligence operations separate from the state’s intelligence services. I told him that he must disband his operation immediately and refrain from engaging in such activities again. He handed over his operation to me, appearing quite distressed. The state cannot be secure if major powers are able to recruit individuals at the level of a prime minister to serve their objectives. Based on this, I decided to establish an intelligence agency that is directly linked to me, and this is the agency that my adversaries refer to as the secret police (intelligence gathering).

It was essential for me to understand that among the members of the journalism apparatus, there were genuinely loyal individuals as well as those who were slanderous, all from this agency without thorough verification. However, I did not believe it, nor did I accept anything that came from this agency without precise verification.

My grandfather, Sultan Salim III, used to say: ‘The hands of foreigners are on my liver (i.e. figuratively meaning causing me concern), thus, we must send ambassadors to foreign countries to convey the methods of European advancement. We need to dispatch envoys abroad and work swiftly to learn what they have achieved”. I too felt the presence of these foreigners, not above my liver, but within my liver. They are purchasing my esteemed ministers and advisors, using them against my country. How can this happen, when I have spent from the state treasury on them, yet I cannot discern what they are doing, what they are plotting, and what they are preparing? After witnessing my big newspapers being filled by foreign countries in exchange for the destruction of their state, and conspiring against their ruler, I established this apparatus not to serve as a tool against the citizen, but to identify and track those who betrayed my nation, while they were receiving their salaries from its treasury, at a time when the Ottoman grace was overflowing to the point of their throats”.

Sultan Abdul Hamid encountered intense criticism from the Committee of Union and Progress concerning the intelligence system he created. In truth, this system provided considerable advantages to the Ottoman state. When instigators and terrorists were urging the Armenians to rise against the Ottoman Empire, the soldiers were present to counter them, resulting in bloodshed. For three decades, Sultan Abdul Hamid’s intelligence service kept him promptly informed of every new movement, allowing him to effectively quell any internal insurrection in a timely fashion.

Have German ideologues learnt lessons from the genocidal actions of General Lothar von Trotha In Namibia?!

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

The genocide perpetrated by German colonialists against the Namibians occurred from 1904 to 1908. During the 31 years of colonisation in Namibia, it is estimated that over 70,000 Namibians were killed. This atrocity was largely ignored by successive German Governments for nearly a century, until May 28, 2021, when former German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, representing the government, along with Chancellor Angela Merkel, publicly acknowledged these events as genocide. The majority of this genocide took place among two tribes, primarily the Herero and the Nama.

Germany sought to expand its territory, and even prior to the onset of the First World War, they were actively searching for resources to support their ambitions for global dominance. This pursuit led them to Africa, specifically to Namibia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Cameroon, Nigeria, Chad, Gabon, and Togo, during a period when Africa’s borders had not yet been delineated by the colonialists. Consequently, they briefly colonised these areas. However, one may wonder why their presence in Africa was not more prolonged. In Namibia, their intention to raise cattle resulted in the appropriation of lands belonging to two tribes, which constituted the primary means of sustenance for these communities. As a result, these tribes were dispossessed, plunged into poverty, and subjected to forced labour. This situation ultimately led to confrontations between the tribes and the colonialists, prompting the latter to perpetrate genocide under the command of General Lothar von Trotha, who orchestrated a ruthless campaign aimed at exterminating both the Herero and the Nama peoples. The massacre ensued, claiming thousands of lives.

It is noted that the primary reason the Germans did not inflict more casualties or maintain a longer presence in Africa was the imminent outbreak of the First World War, necessitating their return to Germany to engage in the conflict in Europe. By the years 1914-1918, German colonialists had lost all their African territories to either the British or the French as a consequence of the war in Europe. Around the same time, German colonialists governed a significant area of East Africa in the early 1900s known as German East Africa, which included present-day Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi. The conflict that took place between the German colonialists and the natives was referred to as the Maji Maji Rebellion, which lasted from 1905 to 1907. The reason for this conflict was because the German colonial authorities imposed heavy taxes and enforced labour, compelling the local populace to engage in cotton farming for export. This shift forced the indigenous people to abandon their own food cultivation in favour of cotton production, resulting in widespread hunger and growing resentment among the community.

So, in July 1905, when the populace could no longer tolerate their circumstances, they initiated an uprising in the Matumbi Hills, which rapidly extended throughout southern and eastern Tanzania. However, the German response was marked by extreme brutality, resulting in the massacre of individuals, the incineration of villages, and the destruction of food supplies, including the targeting of civilians. Estimates suggest that between 75,000 and 300,000 Africans perished due to starvation. Ultimately, this rebellion was suppressed by 1907, yet it significantly undermined the German perception of effortless colonial governance in Africa, contributing to their eventual withdrawal from the continent by 1918.

However, despite the government of Angela Merkel acknowledging that this incident constitutes genocide and their agreement to provide compensation, no payments have been made. This promise has been outstanding since 2013. In contrast, Germany has compensated Israel and individual Holocaust survivors. Since 1945, Germany has disbursed over $86.8 billion dollars in various forms of compensation to Israel, benefiting both Holocaust survivors and Jewish organizations. This compensation has addressed forced labour, confiscated property, and the suffering endured. Yet, regarding Namibia, although promises were made, no payments have been rendered.

https://www.state.gov/reports/just-act-report-to-congress/germany/

Have German ideologues truly absorbed the lessons from the atrocities perpetrated by their ancestors during the violent colonial era against Namibians?! It appears that they have not gained enough valuable insights, as evidenced by their compensation to the Jews while neglecting to compensate the Namibians. Furthermore, they continue to supply arms to Netanyahu’s genocidal administration, which are employed in the killing of Palestinians, despite occasionally criticising Netanyahu’s administration for its settlement expansion. The prophet’s indifference to the things of this temporary worldly life

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Qays, may Allah have mercy upon him, narrated: I heard Khabbab, may Allah be pleased with him, who had branded his abdomen with seven brands, saying, “Had Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, not forbidden us to invoke Allah for death, I would have invoked Allah for death. The companions of Muhammad have left this world without taking anything of their reward in it but we have collected of the worldly wealth what we cannot spend but on earth”. [1]

Imam Abdul-Aziz Bin Baaz, may Allah have mercy upon him, said, “They died upon tremendous good and did not reach the adornments of this worldly life”. [2] “But we have collected of the worldly wealth what we cannot spend but on earth”. Imam Abdul-Azeez Bin Baaz said, “(Spent) on castles and houses”. [3]

Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that Allah’s Messenger. peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said, “If anyone of you looked at a person who was made superior to him in wealth and (good) appearance, then let him also look at the one who is below him and to whom he has been made superior”. (4)

Imam Abdul-Azeez Bin Baaz said, “So that he may recognise Allah’s blessing upon him. In another narration, ‘So that he does not belittle the blessings Allah has bestowed upon him'”. [5]

Abu Sa’id, may Allah be pleased with him, reported: Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said, “The thing I am afraid of most for your sake, is the worldly blessings which Allah will bring forth to you”. It was said, “What are the blessings of this world?” The Prophet said, “The pleasures of the world”. A man said, “Can the good bring forth evil?” The Prophet kept quiet for a while till we thought that he was being inspired divinely. Then he started removing the sweat from his forehead and said, “Where is the questioner?” That man said, “I (am present)”. Abu Sa’id added: “We thanked the man when the result (of his question) was such”. The Prophet said, “Good never brings forth but good. This wealth (of the world) is (like) green and sweet (fruit), and all the vegetation which grows on the bank of a stream either kills or nearly kills the animal that eats too much of it, except the animal that eats the Khadira (a kind of vegetation). Such an animal eats till its stomach is full and then it faces the sun and starts ruminating and then it passes out dung and urine and goes to eat again. This worldly wealth is (like) sweet (fruit), and if a person earns it (the wealth) in a legal way and spends it properly, then it is an excellent helper, and whoever earns it in an illegal way, he will be like the one who eats but is never satisfied”. [6]

Imam Abdul-Aziz Bin Baaz said, “The Prophet clarified that good only brings good. Wealth is not absolute goodness, rather it is a trial. So whoever spends it in its rightful (place), it is good; and whoever spends it in dubious ways, it will be bad for him, such as the eater of the khadira (i.e. a kind of vegetation); but it becomes safe and sound when it defecates and urinates”. [7]

Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him, reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said, “Paradise is nearer to any of you than the Shiraak (leather strap) of his shoe, and so is the (Hell) fire”. [8]

Imam Abdul Aziz Bin Baaz, may Allah have mercy upon him, said, “This (i.e. the above speech of the Prophet) is from Jawaami Al-kalim (i.e. a short expression with a vast meaning). There is nothing between him (i.e. a person) and paradise except dying (in a state) of Imaan and (that can be within) a few moments. And there is nothing between him and the hell fire except dying (in a state) of disbelief and (that can be within) a few moments”. [9]

Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said, “O Allah! There is no life worth living except the life of the Hereafter, so make righteous the Ansaar and the emigrants”. [10]

Imam Abdul-Aziz Bin Baaz, may Allah have mercy upon him, said, “There is no life that has much importance except the life of the Hereafter because it does not end”. [11]

Aaisha, may Allah be pleased with her, reported, “The family of Muhammad had never eaten wheat bread to their satisfaction for three successive days since their arrival in Al-Madina till the death of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him”. [12]

Imam Abdul Aziz Bin Baaz said, “A lot of wealth used to come to him (i.e. the Prophet) but he used to give precedence to others”. [13]

Aaisha reported, “A complete month would pass by during which we would not make a fire (for cooking), and our food used to be only dates and water unless we were given a present of some meat”. [14]

Imam Abdul-Aziz Bin Baaz said, “In some of the narrations (Aaisha said), ‘two months (passed and they would not make a fire for cooking)'”. [15]

Sahl reported: A man passed by Allah’s Messenger, then Allaah’s Messenger asked: “What do you say about this (man)?” They replied, “If he asks for a lady’s hand, he ought to be given her in marriage; and if he intercedes (for someone), his intercession will be accepted; and if he speaks, he will be listened”. Allah’s Messenger kept silent, and then another man from the poor Muslims passed by, and Allah’s Messenger asked: “What do you say about this man?” They replied, “If he asks for a lady’s hand in marriage, no one will accept him, and if he intercedes (for someone), his intercession will not be accepted; and if he speaks, he will not be listened to”. Allah’s Messenger said, “This poor man is better than so many of the first as to fill the earth”. [16]

Imam Abdul Aziz Bin Baaz said, “This clarifies that what matters is the religion (of a person) and not wealth and status. All those (men) were from the Sahaabah”. [17]

Abu Hurairah reported: The Prophet said, “The example of a miser and an alms-giver is like the example of two people wearing two iron cloaks from their breasts to their collar bone; and when the alms-giver gives in charity, the cloak becomes capacious till it covers his whole body to such extent that it hides his fingertips and covers his footprints. And when the miser wants to spend, it (the iron cloak) sticks and (its) every ring gets stuck to it place, he tries to widen it, but it does not become wide”. (18)

Imam Abdul Aziz Bin Baaz said: “This shows that the soul of the generous and kind person is at ease in alms-giving. And whenever the covetous and miserly person wants to give charity, his soul is constricted. This is an indication of that which is in his heart of covetousness, and that is because he is not prepared to spend”. [19]

Hakim Bin Hizam, may Allah be pleased with him, reported: I asked the Prophet, peace and blessngs of Allah be upon him, (for some money) and he gave me, and then again I asked him and he gave me, and then again I asked him and he gave me and he then said, “This wealth is (like) green and sweet (fruit), and whoever takes it without greed, Allah will bless it for him, but whoever takes it with greed, Allah will not bless it for him, and he will be like the one who eats but is never satisfied. And the upper hand in (giving) is better than the lower (taking) hand”. [20]

Imam Abdul Aziz Bin Baaz said, “This hadith encourages (a person) to be contented and to obtain wealth in a good manner – (approved) by the Shariah. The giver (of wealth) is the upper hand and the receiver is the lower hand”. [21]

Imam Al-Bukhari, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: “Chapter: The one who does not care from where he earns his money.” Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet said, “A time will come upon the people when one will not care how one gains one’s money, legally or illegally”. [22]

Imam Abdul-Aziz Bin Baaz said, “Iman will be weak and there will be little fear (of Allah) at a time in which there will be ignorance and weakness in the matters of the religion. This (is the case) in our era and in other eras before it”. [23]

Ibrahim Bin Ad’ham, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: “Abstinence from the worldly life is of three types: Obligatory abstinence; the abstinence that is of a superior virtue and the abstinence that is safety. As for the obligatory abstinence, it is abstinence from the unlawful; the abstinence that is of superior virtue is to abstain from what is lawful [but unnecessary]; and the abstinence that is safety is to abstain from the doubtful matters”.
