Ash Shaykh Abdur Razzaaq bin Abdul Mohsin Al Badr (Allah preserve them both) wrote:
Whenever you call to The Book and the Sunnah, then you are calling to unity and togetherness. Because this is what unites the people; for if they are acquainted with the Book and the Sunnah and act upon them, they will unite, come together; have mutual love for one another, (establish) brotherhood, aid one another (in righteouness and piety and not in sin and transgression) and will be saved from being in opposition to one another and from splitting.
Ibn Rajab (Allah have mercy upon him) said regarding the definition of istiqaamah:
“It is treading the straight path, -which is the upright religion – without diverting away from it; not to the right and not to the left. And this (treading the straight path) encompasses the acts of obedience, all of them; the outward and the inward and likewise it encompasses the abandoning of the prohibited matters in their entirety.”
Ash Shaykh Rabee (Allah preserve him) explains:
“The outward and inward”; so all of the affairs of the religion are gathered and nothing at all is left.
Actions of the heart such as Eemaan, Love, Fear, Hope and the outward actions such as actions of the limbs (eg the Salah) and actions of the tongue (eg the Shahaadah).
There is nothing that is left from the religion of Allah. So commanding with istiqaamah is commanding with establishment of the affairs of the religion in entirety; outwardly and inwardly.”

Al Imaam Ash Shaykh Rabee – May Allah Preserve Him – said:
“It is a must that the Muslim reads (and contemplates over) the verses (of the Quraan) and Ahadith which describe Allah – Tabaaraka wa Ta’aala – with his attributes of perfection and nobility, for indeed this aids him upon the fear of Allah, and upon realising that Allah is ever watchful over all things; that Allah hears all that is to be heard, he hears all sounds and sees a black ant on a black rock in the pitch black of night.
It seems – Allah knows best – the one who persists upon disobedience, Allah has made his heart blind – And refuge is sought with Allah from that – so a person can not (come close to) realise the greatness of Allah (without pondering over His Perfect Names and Attributes) and he can not comprehend that Allah sees him, or that Allah hears him.
But if the slave had this awareness then when he becomes enticed towards disobedience, whether it was small or large; if he reminded himself that Allah sees me, and that Allah hears me and that Allah knows what I’m going to do; then this would be a barrier for him and protection from disobeying Allah -Tabaaraka wa Ta’aala –

Al Allaamah Ash Shaykh Saalih Al Fawzaan – May Allah preserve him – said:
“The Devil is always and continuously with innovation; he calls to it, and desires it, due to his knowledge that it (innovations) lead to Shirk (associating partners in worship with Allah).”
The Imaam Rabee bin Haadi Al Madkhalee – May Allah preserve him – said:
“Indeed the Salafis are not infallible and free from falling into error. However they are the people of Truth, people of Sunnah and the best of mankind in Aqeedah; Manhaj; Religion; Manners; Dealings (with the people) and Knowledge.”
Al Imaam Ash Shaykh Rabee bin Haadi Al Madkhalee – May Allah preserve him – said:
“Indeed the meaning of steadfastness upon the sunnah, is steadfastness upon Islaam in its entirety: its foundations; its branches; the aqeedah and the manhaj. We are steadfast upon it and cling tight to it until we meet Allah – tabaaraka wa ta’aala.”
