[2] A Statement by Al-Allaamah Rabee and an Audio of Muhammad Abdur Razzaaq Provide a Reality Check for Obstinate Abu Makkah

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Hudhaifah [may Allah be pleased with him] reported that Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said, “The Fitan will be presented to the hearts of the people like a reed mat woven stick by stick, and any heart afflicted by them will have a black mark put into it, but any heart that rejects them will have a white mark put into it. Thus there will be two kinds of hearts: one is pure like a white gemstone and it will not be harmed by any tribulation as long as the heavens and earth endure, and the other is black and dusty like a worn-out vessel, neither recognizing good nor rejecting evil, but rather immersed in its desires”. [Saheeh Muslim’ Number 144]

Abu Makkah [may Allah guide him] stated: “The questioner claims that our brother Muhammad deviated after being close to Mashayikh, however, we know and can trace who Muhammad AbdurRazzaq took ilm from”. Then Abu Makkah listed the number of scholars and people of knowledge with whom Muhammad sat, including Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Mad’khali [may Allah preserve him].

Indeed, the first thing we must remind Abu Makkah [may Allah guide him] is that which Al-Allaamah Rabee [may Allah preserve him] stated about trials and tribulations, and that none can protect us from them save Allah, regardless of how many people of knowledge a person sat with or how many students he has. Al-Allaamah Rabee [may Allah preserve him] said: “Many trials have taken place, including the trial of the khawaarij, the Rawaafid, and killing. Deviation and misguidance have occurred, as have fighting and tribulations (connected) to politics, creed, methodology, and similar affairs. Many people who were going to be destroyed were destroyed, while the one whom Allah protected was saved and (enabled to) follow the true methodology. Therefore, throughout every trial, they (the scholars of Ahlus Sunnah) must openly proclaim the truth and clarify it for the people”. (1) [End of quote]

Al-Allaamah Rabee [may Allah preserve him] also said: “Yes, a man may be upon truth, and then you might not see him again except that he has become a disbeliever or a misguided innovator (in religious affairs)! This is nothing but humiliation! He used to claim that he is upon good, a possessor of knowledge, and upon truth, but then he falls into disbelief–either Kufr Akbar or Kufr Asghar. This is ignominy, and Allah’s protection is sought! How many people have been humiliated and exposed as a result of a trial?! You learn about them, and their false claims are exposed, and their reality is clarified for you“. (2) [End of quote]

Ponder the following statements again: Deviation and misguidance have occurred, as have fighting and tribulations (connected) to politics, creed, methodology, and similar affairs“. “How many people have been humiliated and exposed as a result of a trial?! You learn about them, and their false claims are exposed, and their reality is clarified for you“.

Abu Makkah [may Allah guide him] mentioned the people of knowledge with whom Muhammad Abdur Razzaaq [may Allah guide him] sat in order to belittle and inflate what he believes distinguishes Muhammad from Shaikh Abu Khadeejah [may Allah preserve him], even though Muhammad wilfully turned a blind eye to the detailed knowledge-based proofs produced by Al-Allaamah Rabee and his students against Dr Muhammad Bin Haadi and the Musaafiqah. Both him and Abu Makkah [may Allah guide them] were swept away during the Fitna of the Musaafiqah, which is a Fitna related to Manhaj (Methodology). Click on this link to learn more about the Musaafiqah and the role of Abu Makkah during this Fitna.

In addition to this matter, here is an audio with the voice of Muhammad Abdur Razzaaq [may Allah guide him], in which he transmitted the instruction he received from Al-Allaamah Rabee to keep company with the people of Sunnah, particularly those who are well-known for being firm by Allah’s Tawfeeq. Listen to the audio player below:

So, who has departed from Al-Allaamah Rabee’s sound advice?! Shaikh Abu Khadeejah or Muhammad Abdur Razzaaq?! There is nothing personal between Muhammad and us; rather, he chose to defend deception, distanced himself from the truth in this matter (i.e. the Fitna of the Musaafiqah), and chose his fellowship.

We have one last reminder for the obstinate fame-seeker (Abu Makkah) from Imam Fudayl Ibn Iyaad [may Allah have mercy upon him] who said: “There’s none who loves leadership, except that he will envy, transgress, seek after people’s fault (i.e. falsely) and hates that anyone else is mentioned with good”. (3)

However, if Abu Makkah does not desist, we remind him that Allah said:

وَلَا تُطِعۡ كُلَّ حَلَّافٍ۬ مَّهِينٍ
هَمَّازٍ۬ مَّشَّآءِۭ بِنَمِيمٍ۬
مَّنَّاعٍ۬ لِّلۡخَيۡرِ مُعۡتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ

And obey not everyone who swears much, and is considered worthless, a slanderer, going about with calumnies, a hinderer of the good, transgressor, sinful…[Al-Qalam. Ayaat 10-12]

[1] Brief Rebuttal to Abu Makkah’s Recent Misleading Comparisons

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Exalted] says:

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah; even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allah is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you may avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do. [Surah An-Nisaa. Ayah 135]

Allah [The Most High] says:

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allah and be just witnesses and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety, and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do. [Surah Al-Maa’idah. Ayah 8]

Makkah2

A brief rebuttal to recent misleading comparisons made in the name of defending Muhammad Abdur Razzaq [may Allah rectify his affair]

This is a brief response to Abu Makkah [may Allah guide him], a fervent admirer of Dr. Muhammad Bin Haadi, whose thirst for vengeance against Shaikh Abu Khadeejah [may Allah preserve him] is motivated solely by a strong personal desire to protect lies and twist reality. In his recent pitiful attempt to defend Muhammad Abdur Razzaaq, he demonstrated yet again his terrible comprehension of basic principles and then hastened to deliver a verdict based on that. In this brief response, we’ll demonstrate- by Allah’s Will – that he is afflicted with Al-Jahlul Murakkab because he thinks that he knows but his understanding is the polar opposite of what he believes is correct. To underscore this reality, we quote Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah [ may Allah have mercy upon him], as translated by Shaikh Abu Iyaad [may Allah preserve him], “It is necessary that a person has [comprehension of and correct application of] universal principles [of jurisprudence] to which particular issues are returned so that he speaks with knowledge and justice, and thereafter, that he is acquainted with particular issues, as to how they arose [and became issues], otherwise he will remain upon lies and ignorance with respect to the particular issues and ignorance and oppression with respect to the universal principles, and great corruption will result therefrom.” Majmūʾ al-Fatāwā (19/203) https://t.me/abuiyaadsp

Abu Makkah stated: “The questioner asks Allah to keep him under the tutelage of Waheed Alam, and what a pitiful tutelage this is since Waheed Alam is almost Quranically illiterate and can barely express himself in the language the Quran was revealed in”. [End of quote]

Response: In this statement of his, Abu Makkah desperately attempted to strengthen his criticism by using one of the spider-web arguments used by those proponents of falsehood who attack upright people of Sunnah due to grammatical mistakes in the Arabic language. However, what he either misunderstands or seeks to conceal is that the Salafiyyoon are not blind to the fact that this affair is not a criterion for distinguishing between truth and falsehood.  What is there of commendation and virtue in one Muslim above another if the one who is more competent in his recitation of the Qur’an has deliberately deviated completely from sound Aqeedah or Manhaj or in some of the affairs related to sound Aqeedah and Manhaj?! Didn’t the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] inform us that the Khawaarij are dogs of the hellfire, even though he also said that one will belittle his recitation of the Qur’an compared to theirs?! Therefore, what virtue or advantage does Abu Makkah possess over others because of his Qur’anic recitation while he assists an oppressor (Dr. Muhammad Bin Haadi) who pronounces Tabdee without proof?! Has Allah not forbidden oppression, or has Abu Makkah not pondered those Ayaat?! What virtue or advantage does Abu Makkah have over others because of his Qur’anic recitation while defending Muhammad Abdur Razzaaq (one who co-operates with Hizbiyyoon and the Musaafiqah)?!

Second, not a single scholar or elder student who has praised Shaikh Abu Khadeejah mentions this as a cause to judge his credibility and comprehension of the Qur’an, the authentic Sunnah, and the understanding of the pious predecessors. So, do we disregard the observations of upright scholars and senior students of knowledge in favour of the opinions of a desperate hater drowned in Al-Jahlul Murakkab in this affair?! Read here: https://abukhadeejah.com/those-who-criticise-the-people-of-sunnah-due-to-mistakes-in-arabic-grammar-whilst-they-themselves-are-upon-falsehood/

Abu Makkah stated: “He (i.e. the one who asked Shaikh Abu Khadeejah the question about Muhammad Abdur-Razzaaq) then goes on to describe how akhūna Muhammad was close to ‘Mashayikh’ but yet deviated, and then asks Waheed – in a strange soothsayer-like questioning – how these things occur and if there were things to suggest that he would deviate”. [End of quote]

Response: In the above statement, Abu Makkah attempted to portray himself as an articulate speaker while failing to recognise that he made a judgement without a sound basis. Indeed, his companion was judged based on what is apparent, and no soothsayer-like questioning is asserted in this case, save by those who lack sound understanding. Therefore, pay attention to this beautiful narration: Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab [may Allah be pleased with him] said: “People were (sometimes) judged by the revealing of a Divine revelation during the lifetime of Allah’s Messenger but now there is no longer any more (new revelation). Now we judge you by the deeds you practice publicly, so we will trust and favour the one who does good deeds in front of us, and we will not call him to account about what he is really doing in secret, because Allah will judge him for that; but we will not trust or believe the one who presents to us an evil deed even if he claims that his intentions were good”. (1)

Imam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: “Whoever exhibits good, it is accepted from him and positive good suspicion is held about him. And if he exhibits evil, it will be held against him and a (justified) evil suspicion is held about him”. (2)

Abu Makkah’s companion was evaluated based on what is apparent since he supports and calls to those who defend Dr. Muhammad Bin Haadi. (refer to Appendix I)

Abu Makkah said: “Without that poor questioner’s dire state receiving any attention, and not connecting this poor man’s heart to Allah or reminding him of something that would bring his Deen benefit, Waheed immediately begins by spewing his venom towards Muhammad”. [End of quote]

Response: In the above statement, Abu Makkah attempted to portray the situation as a pointless inquiry, as though the questioner received no benefit and that Shaikh Abu Khadeejah never pointed him in the direction of what is advantageous. However, the truth is that Shaikh Abu Khadeejah did give information about the issue involving Abu Makkah’s companion which is helpful to every seeker of truth regarding this affair. There is no question that Abu Makkah desperately wants to conceal what a person seeking clarity should know.  (refer to Appendix II)

Abu Makkah said:

Response: In opposition to those who support sound Salafi stances against Dr. Muhammad Bin Haadi and Dr. Sulaymaan ar-Ruhayli, Abu Makkah is fiercely disputing that his colleague was not judged based on what is obvious regarding his dubious affiliations and refusal to take sound stances. Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Mad’khali [may Allah preserve him] said: “If you become aware that you reject the truth when it comes from one direction and embrace falsehood when it comes from another direction while acting as though it is the truth, then you should be aware that your heart is sick”. (3)

Is there anything else, in light of what is evident, that may have influenced Abu Makkah’s companion to side with the Musaafiqah, aside from either of the two diseases of the heart, Shubuhaat or Shahawaat?! Is there anything more to establish aside fame-seeking or ignorance from his companion’s promotion of the Musaafiqah and those who support them?!

Abu Makkah said:

Response: First, Dhul Khuwaysirah was a Munaafiq who questioned the integrity of the Messenger—the one who does not speak based on his own desires but rather receives revelation from Allah. Has Abu Makkah not heard what the Prophet said during this incident “Don’t you trust me though I am the truth-worthy man of the One in the Heavens, and I receive the news of Heaven (i.e. Divine Inspiration) both in the morning and in the evening?” [Saheeh Al-Bukhari 4351]

As a result, it is impossible to draw a parallel between Dhul Khuwaysirah’s treatment of the Messenger and that of a person who judged Abu Makkah’s companion based on what is obvious. The two cases cannot be compared since Dhul Quwaysirah slandered Allah’s Messenger, whereas Abu Makkah’s companion is judged on the basis of his corrupt affiliations. Indeed, anyone with even a modicum of common sense knows that this is just another misleading analogy used by Abu Makkah in an effort to feign truth with a false comparison. (for more detail about Dhul Khuwaysirah, see Appendix III)

Second, as for Abu Makkah’s statement about “laughingstock” when Shaikh Ak recites the Quran, then, certainly, we have previously transmitted what is necessary regarding the behaviour of proponents of falsehood towards upright adherents to the Sunnah in this matter. But we’ll add one narration that we’re all familiar with. “The one who is proficient with the Qur’an will be with the noble and righteous scribes (the angels), and the one who reads it and stumbles over it, finding it difficult, will have two rewards”.

There isn’t a single one of us except that someone else outperforms us or can point out mistakes or shortcomings in our Qur’an recitation, but this isn’t a basis for distinguishing between Tawheed and Shirk, Sunnah and Bidah, sound unity and hizbiyyah, sound and corrupt Al-Walaa Wal Baraa’ah, even though Abu Makkah is grasping at straws in this matter.

Abu Makkah said, “What does 25 years mean when this is your case? People become scholars in 25 years! Empires are built in 25 years! But indeed Waheed has built an empire, one that he is the head of, one that wasn’t gained through ilm, instead attained via Tazkiyah-peddling”.

First, it is incredible that Shaikh Abu Khadeejah [may Allah protect him from the tongues of the enviers] has been endorsed by those particular senior scholars, such as Al-Allamah Ubaid Bin Abdillah Al-Jabiri [may Allah have mercy upon him], Al-Allamah Rabee Bin Haadi [may Allah preserve him], Al-Allamah Abdullah Al-Ghudiyaan [may Allah have mercy upon him] and the older students of knowledge in the UK and America, but they have been unable to reveal his Tazkiyah-peddling for the past 25 years!!! Indeed, it is definitely tantamount to foolishness if one thinks that a person who is well-known to scholars and thousands of Salafiyyoon in different places can get away with Tazkiya-peddling. O Abu Makkah! “The reality of foolishness is to place something in other than its rightful place”. [Sharh Saheeh Muslim By Imaam An-Nawawi. 18/136] O Abu Makkah! “A fool sees the impossible as possible”. [Tas’heel an-Nadr By Al-Maawardee. page 5]

And regarding this slander, we remind Abu Makkah that the Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said: “Verily, the worst act of usury is to attack the honour of a Muslim without a just cause”. [Abu Dawud 4876]

As for his assertion about Shaikh Abu Khadeejah not reaching the level of scholars after 25 years, this is simply another ludicrous statement of this deluded individual; rather, we can name numerous upright students of knowledge who have not been declared scholars, even though they started seeking knowledge before Shaikh Abu Khadeejah. In addition, Abu Makkah is essentially ignorant of an important affair behind the quest for knowledge. First, neither Abu Makkah nor any of us (common people) can determine the level of knowledge attained by any single scholar or senior student; rather, we return to the precise recommendations given by scholars to the students. Second, Abu Makkah and his ilk should pay attention to what is stated by al-Allaamah Saalih Aala Ash-Shaikh in this link: https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2021/08/14/not-aware-of-benefit-i-have-acquired-from-seeking-knowledge-disheartened-slow-learner-receives-tremendous-advice/

The mention of an empire built by Shaikh Abu Khadeejah gives us a clear indication that Abu Makkah cannot accept the fact that besides being abandoned due to his association with the Musaafiqah, he is also not valued in the manner that Shaikh Abu Khadeejah is valued by Al-Allaamah Rabee, Al-Allaamah Ubaid Al-Jaabiri, the senior students of knowledge in the Uk and America and the Salafiyyoon. “Die in your rage,” we tell him.

Conclusion:
Appendix 1

Response: This is a conversation on Twitter between Muhammad Abdur Razzaaq [may Allah open his eyes to reality] and someone else, whilst he encouraged people to attend the gathering of the Musaafiqah in the company of Dr. Sulaymaan Ar-Ruhayli. Muhammad stated, “Utter falsehood. Did the Sahaabah say ‘O I’m not going to attend the circle of the Messenger bcos there’s a Munaafiq there?'”

Amazing is the similarity between Abu Makkah and Muhammad Abdur Razzaaq! The Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said: “The souls are troops collected together. They come close upon what they recognize, and they differ upon what they reject”. [Al-Bukhaari 3109]

It is apparent that one of the characteristics they share is their fondness for ludicrous comparison. Indeed, the Messenger and the Sahaabah were upon clarity due to that which Allah revealed to him about the Munaafiqoon. As for Dr. Sulaymaan and the ones who invited him, all of them were upon something blameworthy because they defend Dr. Muhammad Bin Haadi, so how can a sensible person attend such a gathering to increase the numbers of Musaafiqah – those defending a person (Dr Muhammad Bin Haadi) who passed an oppressive judgement of Tabdee without proof! Appendix II: Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi al-Mad’khali [may Allah preserve him] stated about the people of falsehood, “All the trials, splitting, and (blameworthy) differing came from the proponents of falsehood and trials. They do not keep quiet, they spread their falsehoods in their newspapers, magazines, and audio tapes, while wishing that the voice of truth should be silent. In their view, the voice of truth is what should be silent and the voice of falsehood should be raised and spread on the earth! Do they remain silent?! The proponents of falsehood do nor remain silent, neither abate nor slow down”. [Al-Ijaabaat Al-Jaliyyah Anil Qadaayaa Al-Manhajiyyah. pages 28-29]

Appendix III: Shaikh Al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: The Qur’an has indeed stipulated that this man [i.e. Dhul Khuwaysirah] was from the hypocrites due to the statement of Allah:

وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَلْمِزُكَ فِي الصَّدَقَاتِ

And of them [i.e. the Munaafiqoon] are some who accuse you (O Muhammad) in the matter of (the distribution of) the alms. [Surah at-Tawbah. Aayah 58] – Meaning they find fault with you and speak ill of you. [As-Saarim Al-Maslool. Page 228-229]

Abu Makkah’s ridiculous misrepresentations and misleading comparisons in his so-called response to Shaikh Abu Khadeejah demonstrate that he suffers from compounded ignorance and lacks basic principles in this matter of judging individuals based on what is obvious. Likewise, after it becomes apparent to the reader that Abu Makkah wanted to defend a person whose mistakes are as obvious as the midday sun, all the texts he used for that purpose were mentioned in an effort to muddle truth with untruth. The texts he utilised are truth without a doubt, but he utilised them to twist reality and beautify the affair of Muhammad Abdur Razzaaq even though reality speaks for itself. Allah [The Exalted] said:

وَلَا تَلْبِسُوا الْحَقَّ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَتَكْتُمُوا الْحَقَّ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

And mix not truth with falsehood, nor conceal the truth while you know (the truth). [Surah Al-Baqarah. Ayah 42]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “Allaah forbade (us) from mixing truth with falsehood, thus leading to concealment of the truth. Mixing truth with false is by mixing the two until one of them is confused with the other. This is forgery and deceit by way of which what is made apparent is the opposite of what it is in reality. Likewise, when the truth is confounded with falsehood, the culprit manifests falsehood in the image of truth and speaks with a statement that carries two meanings- a correct meaning and a false meaning, so the listener is under the illusion that the speaker intends the correct meaning, whilst he intends the corrupt meaning. Why should we demand that faithful friends tell us – in our faces – what we hate to hear?

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Khaalid Bin Hayyaan narrated from Jafar Bin Burqaan [may Allah have mercy upon them] who said, “Maymoon Bin Mihraan [may Allah have mercy upon him] said to me, ‘Oh, Jafar! Say what I detest (i.e. the bitter truth) in my face since a man will not have (fulfilled) advice to his brother until he says in his face what he detests”. (1)

Umar Ibn Abdul Azeez [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “Whoever advises his brother to rectify affairs related to his religion and gives him insight into a worldly affair has perfected their relationship and fulfilled his obligation of (brotherhood) to him”. (2)

Imaam Al-Barbahaaree [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “It is not permissible to hide sincere advice from any of the Muslims, whether pious or impious, in matters of the religion. Whoever hides that has acted deceitfully towards the Muslims. Whoever acts deceitfully toward the Muslims has done so towards the religion. Whoever acts deceitfully towards the religion has behaved treacherously towards Allah, His Messenger, and the Believers”.

Al-Allaamah Ahmad Bin Yahyah An-Najmi [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: “I say: An-Naseehah means ‘purity’. When milk is clear, it is said, [نصح اللبن]. This is the linguistic meaning of An-Naseehah. In the Sharee’ah, (it is) to inform a Muslim regarding what is obligated to him in relation to the (rights of Allah) and (the rights of Allah’s) creation without slyness and false courtesy. An-Naseehah is obligatory, even though its obligation varies, and its opposite is Al-Ghish [deception]”. (3)

[1] Salafi Scholars are clueless about current events that would strengthen the Ummah!

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

A rebuke against those who say, “Salafi Scholars are clueless about current events that would strengthen the Ummah!”

Imam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [may Allah have mercy upon him] said:

There are numerous reasons for weakness, lack of advancement, and being overpowered by enemies. Many factors emanate from one (main) factor, and this one reason and factor is ignorance about Allah and the religion He has ordained, the final outcomes that have gripped the majority, and thus knowledge became limited and ignorance widespread. A number of issues resulted from this ignorance, including (blameworthy) love of the worldly life and dislike of death, neglect of (obligatory) prayers, following of (evil) desires, lack of preparation for the enemy, satisfaction in obtaining needs from the enemy, and a lack of high aspiration to meet needs from their country and resources. This ignorance also caused a lack of (sound) harmony, togetherness, and cooperation, which led to division and disagreement.

This demonstrates that the greatest cause of weakness is ignorance about Allah, ignorance about the religion ordained by Allah and those realities to which one is obligated to adhere and take into account, and that is the Prophet’s [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] “If Allah wishes good for a person, He gives them understanding in religion.” This report, along with Qur’anic verses and other reports, demonstrates the filth of ignorance, its effects, and ultimate outcomes; rather, the Noble Qur’an is full of condemnation of ignorance and its people, as well as warnings against them, as Allah said:

وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَجْهَلُونَ

But most of them behave (ignorantly).

And most of them have no understanding.

As well as other Qur’anic verses that dispraise ignorance, such as being ignorant of Allah and the religion He has decreed, being ignorant of the enemy, and that which is obligated (to Muslims) to prepare in terms of vigilance, (sound) unity, and cooperation.

And from this ignorance arose splitting, (blameworthy) differing, inclination towards (evil) desires, negligence towards prayer, neglecting what Allah has obligated, lack of giving precedence to the Afterlife and not truthfully associating oneself with it; rather, the majority is concerned only with this present worldly life, just as Allah said:

كَلا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ الْعَاجِلَةَ
وَتَذَرُونَ الْآخِرَةَ

But (you men) love the present life of this world and leave (neglect) the Hereafter. [Surah Al-Qiyaamah. Verses 21-22]

And just as Allah [The Exalted] said:
فَأَمَّا مَنْ طَغَى
وَآثَرَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا
فَإِنَّ الْجَحِيمَ هِيَ الْمَأْوَى

Then, for him who transgressed all bounds and preferred the life of this world (by following his evil desires and lusts), verily, his abode will be Hellfire. [Surah An-Naazi’aat. Verses 37-39]

As a result, the Messenger’s statement, “If Allah wishes good for a person, He gives them understanding in the religion,” demonstrates that one of the signs of goodness and happiness for the individual, the people, and the state is they seek understanding in the religion, because seeking understanding in the religion, learning, and insight into what is obligated to them – now and in the future – is one of the most obligatory duties, and in this is a sign that Allah wishes good for them. And related to this is the fulfilment of what Allah has obligated, staying away from what Allah has made unlawful, and restricting oneself within the confines of Allah’s ordainments.

And among the detrimental causes (of weakness), their outcomes, and what they necessitate is that which has transpired in terms of weakness in the face of the enemy and being delayed in everything save what Allah wills to remain; inclination towards forbidden desires, preoccupation with what hinders the path of Allah and guidance, lack of preparation for the enemy in the arena of industry, lack of sufficient weaponry that frightens the enemy- to help fight him, strive against him in Jihad, taking one’s rights from him, not preparing the bodies for jihad and not spending money in what is obligatory to prepare for the enemy, guard against his evil, defend the religion and the homeland. Except for what Allah wills, the preparation is poor or non-existent, and the goals are skewed. Thus, the path of success, the path of advancement over adversaries and the absence of weakness in front of them, the path of prosperity and success, the way to gaining high status and the lofty goals to be sought after, triumph over enemies- the path to all of this is to embrace beneficial knowledge and the sound understanding of the religion, give priority to Allah’s pleasure over His displeasure, pay close attention to what Allah has obligated, abandon what Allah has made unlawful, and repent truthfully to Allah from one’s sins and shortcomings.

Also, in Muslim countries, there should be industries, preparation, and strength that will enable every individual through every means, so that one has no need of the enemy – until the enemy knows what this Muslim has of preparation and talent, and the enemy is afraid of him, treats him fairly and fulfils his rights. The bodies must be prepared and should resist overindulging in that type of luxury that will weaken the strength and the hearts when required to battle the enemy, and so that one has the strength to execute Jihad. The state and the people should cooperate fully on what is necessary of obedience to Allah and His Messenger, refraining from what Allah [The Mighty and Majestic] have forbidden, and collaborating on what is required to make preparations, as Allah said:

وَأَعِدُّوا لَهُمْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ

And make ready against them all you can of power.

[Surah Al-Anfaal. Verse 60]

It is necessary to physically prepare- prepare equipment (of defence and war), and other types of equipment in all aspects so that we can suffice with what Allah [Glorified be He] has given us and not be in need of what our enemies possess because fighting our enemies with what they possess is extremely difficult to obtain. If the enemy prevents you from acquiring weapons, what do you fight with in addition to a lack of awareness and knowledge?! It is necessary to prepare what is possible, and whatever is attainable is sufficient as long as Muslims intend to do without their enemy, fight their enemy, save their country, establish Allah’s command in the land, and have the intention (to receive a reward) in the Afterlife to the greatest extent possible because Allah [Glorified and Exalted be He] says: [وَأَعِدُّوا لَهُمْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ – And make ready against them all you can of power], but Allah did not say, “And make ready against them that which is equal to their power” since that may not be achievable.

If the Muslims are sincere, join hands, prepare for their enemy with as much equipment as they can, and defend the religion ordained by Allah, then Allah [Glorified and Exalted be He] will help them and place them in front and above the enemy, rather than under the enemy. Allah- the One Who is truthful in His speech and promises – said:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ تَنْصُرُوا اللَّهَ يَنْصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ

O you who believe! If you help (in the cause of) Allah, He will help you, and make your foothold firm.

Allah is neither unable nor in need of the people, but He puts His good servants to the test through the evil ones, so that the truthfulness of the truthful ones can be distinguished from the lies of the liars, the one who truly strives in the path of Allah can be distinguished from others, and the one desirous of safety (in this life and the next) can be distinguished. This is the reason, otherwise, Allah is able to aid His allies and destroy His adversaries without the need for Jihad, preparations, and other things, as He [Glorified be He] said:

ذَلِكَ وَلَوْ يَشَاءُ اللَّهُ لانْتَصَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَلَكِنْ لِيَبْلُوَ بَعْضَكُمْ بِبَعْضٍ –

But if it had been Allah’s Will, He Himself could certainly have punished them (without you). But (He lets you fight), in order to test you, some with others]. [Surah Muhammad. Aayah 4] (1) [End of quote]

Finally, the preparation of weapons is the task of Muslim governments, not insurgent organisations. The Khawaarij (ISIS and their ilk) have no authority; instead, they are bandits, innovators in religious affairs, and terrorists. Upright Muslims obey their rulers in good, fulfil the agreements their rulers have established between their nations and other nations, and uphold upright conduct whether in their home countries or abroad. We do not judge anyone, but rather Allah is the only one who can judge!

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Exalted] said:

The believers, men and women, are Auliya’ (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another, they enjoin (on the people) Al-Ma’ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do), and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (i.e. polytheism and disbelief of all kinds, and all that Islam has forbidden); they perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give the Zakat, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah will have His Mercy on them. Surely Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise. [Surah At-Tawbah. Ayah 71]

We do not judge anyone, but rather Allah is the only one who can judge!

This above statement has become quite popular on the lips of many people, especially some of the youth, when mistakes are pointed out and rebutted based on the infallible principles of the Shariah, so you hear them say, “We do not judge anyone, but rather Allah is the only one who can judge.” Indeed, this is either an oversight or a misinterpretation, because the utterers of this remark cannot argue that they will never seek justice through the decision of an arbitrator when their rights are violated.

Second, this claim of theirs goes against the guidance of the Prophet’s companions. Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab [may Allaah be pleased with him] said: “People were (sometimes) judged by the revealing of a Divine revelation during the lifetime of Allah’s Messenger but now there is no longer any more (new revelation). (1)

Imaam Abdul-Azeez Bin Baaz [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: “Whoever manifests good, it will be accepted from him and a good suspicion is held about him. And if he manifests evil, it will be held against him and an evil suspicion is held about him”. (2)

Thirdly, this statement of theirs necessitates that they will never stand to give truthful witness because in their view only Allah can judge. Rather, Allah commanded us to give truthful witness.

Ayah 135]

I am free!

Imaam Muhammad Bin Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [may Allah have mercy upon him] was asked about the statement of a person who says, “I am free”.

Answer: If a free person says this and means freedom from slavery to the creation, then yes, they are free from servitude to the creation. However, if he means that he is free from servitude to Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic], he has erred in his definition of servitude and does not understand the meaning of freedom. This is because servitude to anybody other than Allah is considered bondage. In terms of obedience to Allah [The Mighty and Majestic], this is true freedom because if a person does not humble himself to Allah, he would humble himself to someone else. So he deceives himself when he claims to be free, free from obedience to Allah. (3)

Do not interfere!

Imaam Muhammad Bin Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen [may Allah have mercy upon him] was asked: “When a Muslim expresses disapproval of evil (done by) another person, the person responds by saying, ‘You are intrusive’ or ‘Do not interfere in that which does not concern you.’ Is this speech appropriate in this situation and what should be said in response to (this person)?”

Response:

This speech of his is wrong. To say to someone who opposes his wrongdoing, ”You are intrusive” or ”This is not your problem”. This is incorrect since Allah (The Most High) commanded us to forbid evil and encourage virtue. It is our obligation to enjoin good and forbid evil to the best of our ability, whether the person who is commanded or forbidden likes it or not. And he (the one who rejects evil) should respond to him by saying, ”Indeed, this concerns me since Allah has commanded me to enjoin good and forbid evil, and that is because the believer to another believer is like a sturdy building, with one portion supporting the other. So what concerns a Muslim (with regards to doing good and keeping away from evil) is also a concern of his brother (in this case). (4)

Three Types of Friends – By Imaam Muhammad Ibn Salih Al-Uthaymeen [may Allah have mercy upon him]

The freeloader: Befriends you as long as he benefits from you, either by way of wealth or status, or other than that. If this benefit ceases, he becomes an enemy of yours, considers you as someone unknown to him, and vice versa. Numerous are those who defame (others when they spend in) charity! When given from it, they are pleased, but if not given they are angered. You see a bosom friend of yours- the noblest in your eyes and vice versa- asks you one day, saying, “Give me your book”, so, you say, “I’m in need of it today and will give it to you tomorrow”, so, he shows you enmity. This is a freeloader friend.

The friend of pleasure-seeking: Does not befriend you, except due (to the fact) that he enjoys sitting and speaking to you, and for the sake of chatting and socialising, however, neither does he benefit you nor does he benefit from you. Neither party benefit from the other, rather you only waste time. This is also a type of friend to beware of.

The friend of virtue: Directs you to what beautifies (your character etc), forbids you from what dishonours you, opens doors of good for you, and guides you to it. And if you make a mistake, he informs you in a manner that does not blemish your honour.

Freeloader friends are more numerous because the means of benefiting (others) are many, therefore, if you see that this man has not befriended you except due to receiving (worldly) benefit from you, then know that he is an enemy and not a friend. A friend of pleasure-seeking busies and distracts you with enjoyment through chatting, time-wasting in the amusement parks, and other than that. There is no good in this type of person; rather the one who should firmly cling to is the friend of virtue -the one who directs you towards every virtuous deed and forbids you from every evil. (5)

Invitation of a Person Who Competes Others and Boasts!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

“The invitation of two people who compete each other should neither be accepted nor should their food be eaten”.

Al-Allaamah Zayd Bin Haadi Al-Mad’khali [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “If invitation to eat food is done for boasting, self-importance and show off, do not respond to the invitation. Competition related food is to boast about its abundance and perfect preparation- everyone wants to give more than the other. Whoever competes in (providing) food and its preparation – each one of them invites others to come along and eat his food, then do not accept their invitation because they have not done so sincerely for the sake of Allaah due to the competition and boating in the affair. And this is something impermissible”. [At-taleeqaat Al-Maleehah Alaa Silsilah al-Ahaadeeth As-Saheehah. Vol 1. Page 396]

Sufyaan Bin Uyaynah [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said, “Indeed, I become angry with myself when I see you come to me, and I say to myself that these people have not come to me, except due to the good thoughts they have about me”. [Hilyatul Awliyaa: 7/285]

Ibn Wahb [may Allaah have mercy upon him] narrated that he heard Maalik [may Allaah have mercy upon him] saying, “When a man praises himself, his magnificence leaves him”. [Taareekhul Islaam: 11/328]

Allaah Knows All The Secrets Whether We Reveal or Conceal

And whether you keep your talk secret or disclose it, verily, He is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts (of men). Should not He Who has created know? And He is the Most Kind and Courteous (to His slaves) All-Aware (of everything). [67:13-14]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: This is from the highest degree of affirmation, because it has to be that the Creator knows His creatures. Therefore, if you affirm that indeed He is your Creator and the Creator of your hearts and what they contain, then how can (anything) be hidden from Him when (it is the fact) that He created them?! And the statement [بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ  – what is in the breasts (of men)] includes what the hearts contain of beliefs, intents, love and hate. [Badaa’i At-Tafseer Al-Jaami Limaa Fassarahu Al-Imaam Ibnul Qayyim 3/ 173]

Imaam Al-Bukhaari [rahimahullaah] said, “Chapter: Avoiding the Use of Tricks. And everybody will get the reward according to his intention”. Narrated Umar Ibn al-Khattaab [radiyallaahu-anhu]: The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, ‘’The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions, and every person will get the reward according to what he intended. So, whoever emigrates for Allaah and His Messenger, then his emigration will be for Allaah and His Messenger, and whoever emigrates to take a worldly benefit or for a woman to marry, then his emigration will be for what he emigrated for”. [Saheeh Al-Bukhaari Number 6953]

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: There is no place for trickery in Ibaadaat [i.e. acts of worship] nor in Mu’aamalaat [i.e. mutual dealings]. Therefore, it is obligatory to approach [or carry out] affairs through their appropriate paths [i.e. carrying out deeds without tricks or ulterior motives]. [Source: Ab Excerpt from Al-Hulalul Ibreeziyyah Min Ta’leeqaat Al-Baaziyyah Alaa Saheeh Al-Bukhaari’ 4/353. footnote 1. slightly paraphrased]

Peaceful protest is the way forward!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

You hear some Muslim afflicted with a corrupt methodology saying, “Muslim authorities are heavy handed when citizens come out in the street to protest unlike what we witness in the West.”

Firstly, the globalists and spiteful secularists call you to their way to destroy stability in your country and corrupt the relationship between you and your society. Do not read the statement of Allaah (The Most High) said:

[وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّبِعُوا سَبِيلَنَا وَلْنَحْمِلْ خَطَايَاكُمْ وَمَا هُم بِحَامِلِينَ مِنْ خَطَايَاهُم مِّن شَيْءٍ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ – And those who disbelieve say to those who believe: “Follow our way and we will verily bear your sins,” never will they bear anything of their sins. Surely, they are liars]. [29:12]

Imaam Ibn Katheer [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: Allaah [The Exalted] related about the disbelievers of Quraish that they said to those amongst them who believed (in the message of Muhammad) and followed the guidance, “Abandon your religion, return to our religion and follow our way. We will verily bear your sins if you have any”, just as a person says, “Do this and your sin is upon my neck”. So, Allaah declared their statement false, saying that never will they bear anything of their (i.e., the believers) sins. Surely, they are liars. That is because no one will bear anything of the sins of others. (1)

Secondly, protests are not allowed in the infallible methodology of the Prophet. Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Mad’khali [may Allaah preserve him] was asked, “Going out to demonstrations, revolutions and nurturing the youth upon it; is this from the methodology of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaa’ah or not, whether in or outside the Muslim countries?

Response: This is the methodology of Marx (i.e., Carl Marx), Lenin (i.e., Vladimir Lenin) and those similar to them. It is not from the Islamic methodology. Revolutions, bloodshed, trials and troubles are Marx’s and Lenin’s school of thought. (2)

Al-Allaamah Zayd Bin Haadi Al-Madkhali [may Allaah have mercy upon him] stated: Protests are newly invented matters in the religion. Every newly invented matter in the religion is a bidah, every bidah is misguidance and every misguidance is in the hell fire [i.e., is a path leading to the hell fire]. Allaah’s legislation is perfect and complete-based on The Book and The Sunnah-and we do not know of anything by way of the evidences in the Book and the Sunnah that makes it permissible for a handful of people to gather for demonstrations, which causes disturbance for the people and time wasting. And greater than this [disturbance and time wasting] is abandonment of the prayers [during protests] and the loss of life [i.e., murder]. If one was to kill a Muslim in a single protest, the one [or those] who called to such protests will carry his sins-be it an individual, a group or those who participate. It has been reported in an authentic hadeeth: The termination of the world means less to Allah than the killing of a Muslim [i.e., without right].These protests are nothing but bidah and acts of misguidance advocated by shaytaan; [enticed] by the urge of the evil soul and desires. And these enemies [i.e., shaytaan, the urge of the evil soul and desires] do not come together in any affair except that the religion and worldly affairs are destroyed, just as it is the case in these demonstrations [or protests].

The end results of protests [or demonstrations]: Carnage, destruction, wastage of wealth and time and terrorising those living in peace. And how many disadvantages are there in [that]! It is enough to be considered something sinister due to the fact that the Noble Messengers and the Great Prophets who were put to trial and harmed by their people did not hold protests [or demonstrations]. Neither did they engage in plotting to cause explosions nor committing suicide; rather Islaam has forbidden all of that.

Those who call to protests [or demonstrations] and hold that there is success in it, they are mistaken and they have missed the correct path. Rectification of the affairs can only be by way of the Book and The Sunnah in accordance with the understanding of those scholars who are firmly grounded in knowledge. So, whoever calls the people to this chaos, then indeed he has brought about a means to corrupting the land and the slaves, and what has occurred – in the past and at present- is a witness to that.

Therefore, we warn the students of knowledge that they are not persuaded by the speech of those who allow protests [or demonstrations]. They say that peaceful demonstrations are permissible-as they categorise it into this categorisation- without proofs and concrete evidence from the Book and the Sunnah- neither from the actions of the Messenger and the Noble Sahaabah nor from the Notable Imaams; rather the verdict on protests [or demonstrations] is only what has been stated earlier and as well as what has been written by other than myself [i.e., protests (or demonstrations) are not permissible] (3)

However, neither would a rightly guided Muslim would condone the action of anyone in authority who punishes people without proof from the Sharee’ah; read here on this link: https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2022/02/18/threat-of-punishment-from-lord-of-the-universe-against-brutal-police-and-their-ilk-those-who-beat-people-without-a-justified-reason/ nor condone rebellion against Muslim rulers, read here: https://abukhadeejah.com/the-tyranny-of-the-rulers-a-reason-for-rebellion/

Finally, when the rabble in Muslim countries damage property whilst claiming peaceful protest, the spiteful journalists in the Western media attack Muslim authorities, but read here regarding stance of non-Muslim authorities in the UK towards planned protests against King Charles’s Coronation “Blocking roads, airports and railways could bring prison sentences of 12 months, while people locking on to others, objects or buildings could go to prison for six months and face an unlimited fine. Police have also been empowered to stop and search people if they suspect they are setting out to cause disruption by protesting”.

[2] Even if I was not busy, I do not need to sit at lessons of anyone in the West!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin haadi al-Mad’khali [may Allaah preserve him] stated: “The entire life of a person is spent in seeking knowledge – from the cradle to the grave. He does not feel proud to acquire truth from a young or older person”. [Marhaban Yaa Taalibal Ilm. 245-248]

The Shaikh also stated: Seeking knowledge is a great affair, which Allaah – in the Qur’aan – urged (us to seek) and Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] urged (us to seek). Allaah informed (us) that Moosaa [peace be upon him] travelled to seek knowledge: “And (remember) when Musa (Moses) said to his boy-servant: “I will not give up (travelling) until I reach the junction of the two seas or (until) I spend years and years in travelling”. [Surah Al-Kahf. Aayah 60]

Once he was in one of the gatherings of Banee Israa’eel, so a man asked him, “Is there anyone more knowledgeable than you?” He said, “No”. So, Allaah revealed to him, saying: “Certainly, my slave Khidr” [i.e. he is more knowledgeable than you in some affairs]. Allaah narrated this story in the Qur’aan and likewise Allaah’s Messenger [i.e. in the Sunnah]. He [Moosaa] was spoken to directly by Allaah and the Tawraat revealed to him, which contained Hudaa [i.e. that which guides a person to Eemaan, truth and protects one from misguidance] and Noor [i.e. a guiding light in the midst of the darkness of ignorance, confusion, doubts, beliefs and deeds that appear to be truth but are falsehood in reality and evil desires], but when he knew that another person possessed knowledge of that which he does not possess, [Allaah informed us he (Moosaa) said]: [لَا أَبْرَحُ حَتَّىٰ أَبْلُغَ مَجْمَعَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ أَوْ أَمْضِيَ حُقُبًا – I will not give up (travelling) until I reach the junction of the two seas or (until) I spend years and years in travelling]. [Surah Al-Kahf. Aayah 60]

He went on foot – neither had a car nor a riding beast, nor a horse; [rather] he travelled on foot. Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] said about him: [قَالَ ذَٲلِكَ مَا كُنَّا نَبۡغِ‌ۚ فَٱرۡتَدَّا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَارِهِمَا قَصَصً۬ا – Musa (Moses) said: “That is what we have been seeking.” So, they went back retracing their footsteps]. [Surah Al-Kahf. Aayah 64].

[They did this (i.e. Moosaa and his boy servant went back to find Khidr)] for the sake of knowledge, because indeed none knows virtue except the one given virtue. None knows the virtue of knowledge, except those who are virtuous. If one humbles himself due to knowledge, this is honour. Do not lower yourself – even in the presence of the greatest person- for the sake of the Dunyaa; (rather) humble yourself, be well mannered and lower yourself for the sake of knowledge, because it is the loftiest thing, and by way of it, you will be raised in the sight of Allaah and the people. If you lower yourself to acquire knowledge, this can never be humiliation; (rather) it is humility, a proof of good manners, truthfulness in the path of seeking after knowledge and the truth. [1] Even if I was not busy, I do not need to sit at lessons of anyone in the West!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of mercy.

“Even if I was not busy, I do not need to sit at the lessons of anyone in the West, because I have my Arabic audios and books!”

May Allaah grant us the Tawfeeq to wage a constant and fierce battle against our souls whenever they incline towards bragging and self-amazement contained in the above statement Aameen. Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Mad’khali [may Allaah preserve him] stated: O youth! Be mindful of shaytaan who is next to you. Seek Allaah’s protection against his destructive evil whispers. [وَإِمَّا يَنزَغَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلشَّيۡطَـٰنِ نَزۡغٌ۬ فَٱسۡتَعِذۡ بِٱللَّهِ‌ۖ إِنَّهُ ۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ – And if an evil whisper from Shaitan (Satan) tries to turn you away (O Muhammad) (from doing good, etc.), then seek refuge in Allah. Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower]. [Surah Fussilat’ Aayah 36]

If you sense that your soul is inclined towards showing off to the people and bragging about knowledge, then turn to Allaah, lower and humble yourself in His presence, ask Him to grant you sincerity and to save you from shaytaan – to save you from his whispers and plots. One of the scholars said, “Indeed, it is extremely difficult [upon a person] whose enemy can see him, but he cannot see him.” He [i.e. this scholar] said this when he explained the statement of Allaah [The Blessed and Exalted] about shaytaan and his armies: [إِنَّهُ ۥ يَرَٮٰكُمۡ هُوَ وَقَبِيلُهُ ۥ مِنۡ حَيۡثُ لَا تَرَوۡنَہُمۡ‌ۗ – Verily, he and (his soldiers from the jinns or his tribe) see you from where you cannot see them. [Surah Al-A’raaf’ Aayah 27]

He [i.e. that scholar] said, “By Allaah! Indeed, it’s a bitter feud and extreme difficulty (for one) whose enemy can see him, but he cannot see him, except for the one whom Allaah safeguards”- Meaning, this enemy is more dangerous than the army you can see that has troops and strength. This hidden enemy – whom you cannot see – is extreme difficulty and will destroy you whilst you are unaware and unable to see him. We ask Allaah for well-being. (1)

Imaam Abdullaah Ibnul Mubaarak [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: “A man will not be from the (students or scholars) of Hadeeth until he writes from someone similar to him, someone above him and someone below him.” (2)

Imaam Sufyaan Ibn Uyaynah [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said: “A man will not be from the (students or scholars) of Hadeeth until he takes from someone above him, someone below him and someone similar to him.” (3)

Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee [may Allaah preserve him] said: Musa [peace be upon him] was spoken to directly by Allaah and the Tawraat was revealed to him, which contained Hudaa [i.e. that which guides a person to Eemaan, truth and protects one from misguidance] and Noor [i.e. a guiding light in the midst of the darkness of ignorance, confusion, doubts, beliefs and deeds that appear to be truth but are falsehood in reality and evil desires], but when he knew that another person possessed knowledge of that which he did not possess, [Allaah informed us he (Musa) said]: [لَا أَبْرَحُ حَتَّىٰ أَبْلُغَ مَجْمَعَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ أَوْ أَمْضِيَ حُقُبًا – I will not give up (travelling) until I reach the junction of the two seas or (until) I spend years and years in travelling]. [Surah Al-Kahf. Verse 60] He went on foot – neither had a car nor a riding beast, nor a horse; (rather) he travelled on foot”. (4)

Al-Khateeb Al-Baghdaadi [may Allaah have mercy upon him] stated: It is necessary that the seekers of Hadeeth should have the most perfect (behaviour, manners, etiquettes etc) amongst the people, be the most humble amongst the people, the greatest in their impartiality and adherence to the religion, the least in (deviating from good conduct) and (being overcome with) anger, because they constantly listen to the narrations that gathers the excellent manners and etiquettes of Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him], the lives of the virtuous pious predecessors, the path of the scholars of Hadeeth and the virtues of the (pious ones and scholars) who have passed away, so they adhere to the purest and excellent (aspects of those traits, etiquettes, manners etc) and turn away from the most despised and lowly [(traits, behaviour, manners, etiquettes etc). (5)

We ask Allaah not to abandon us and the youth to ourselves.

O Ever Living! O The Self Subsisting, Upon Whom Everything Depends! By Your mercy I seek assistance; rectify for me all of my affairs and do not leave me to myself, even for the blink of an eye. [Silsilah As-Saheehah Number 227]

[2] Tale-carrying is a major sin, but reporting plotters is praiseworthy

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Imam at-Tabari narrated in his Tafseer from Ibn Umar, Muhammad Bin Kab, Zaid Bin Aslam and Qataadah that a man (i.e. hypocrite) said during the battle of Tabuk: “Neither have we seen the likes of these Qur’an reciters of ours who love food more than all of us nor the worst liars among us and the most cowardly at the time of battle?!” [i.e. they were referring to the Messenger and his companions]. So, Awf Bin Malik said to him, “You have lied, but rather you are a hypocrite. I’ll certainly inform Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] (about this speech of yours)”. Then Awf went to Allaah’s Messenger to inform him and thus found that the Qur’an (i.e. the revelation) preceded him (i.e. the Prophet had already been informed via the revelation). Then that man came hanging onto the girth of the she-camel of Allaah’s Messenger, stumbling over the stones and saying: “We were only talking idly and joking”, so Allaah’s Messenger said, “Was it at Allah, and His Signs and His Messenger that you were mocking?” [Surah At-Tawbah. Aayah 65]

Al-Allaamah Sulaymaan Bin Abdillah Bin Muhammad Bin Abdil Wahhaab stated regarding (Awf’s) statement: “I’ll certainly inform Allaah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] (about this speech of yours)”: In this and what is similar neither (contains) backbiting nor tale-carrying, but rather it is an act of sincere devotion to Allaah and sincere (belief in Allaah’s Messenger and adherence to his path), therefore, a differentiation must be made between backbiting and tale-carrying, and between sincere devotion to Allaah and (sincere belief Allaah’s Messenger and adherence to his path). So, mentioning the actions of the wicked sinners to those in charge of the affairs, in order to deter them (from evil) and establish the rulings of the Sharee’ah on them, is (considered) enjoining good and forbidding evil, and not (considered) backbiting and tale-carrying. [Tayseer Al-Azeez Al-Hameed. page 540]

Al-Allaamah Abdur Rahmaan Bin Qaasim stated: “This deed and what is similar to it is (considered) sincere devotion to Allaah and (sincere belief in Allaah’s Messenger and adherence to his path), and it is not (considered) tale-carrying at all. To mention the actions of the wicked sinners to those in charge of the affairs so that they deter them (from evil) is (considered) enjoining good and forbidding evil, and it is not backbiting and tale-carrying”. [Haashiyah Alaa Kitaab at-Tawheed 322] [Paraphrased and Abridged]

This Faa’idah was shared by one of our Salafi teachers in London (may Allaah preserve him and all his brothers amongst the teachers) Aameen.
