What Knowledge Demands – Shaykh Zayd Al Madkhalee

Al Allaamah Shaykh Zayd bin Haadi (Rahimahullah) said:

It is not possible for knowledge to be gained except by learning. And learning must be undertaken and carried out with hard work (effort and seriousness) and diligence (careful and persistent effort), and it does not have an end point, up until a person departs from the life where he acts (The worldly life) to the life in which he is recompensed (The Hereafter) for his actions.

Career VS Marriage… Delaying Marriage until after 30! Ibn Uthaymeen

The Consequences upon Whoever Delays Marriage until After 30 Years of Age For The Reason of Building His Future.

The Question: If a young man delays marriage, until after 30 years of age whilst having the ability (to get married), Is there anything upon him because he wants to build his future (first) and complete his education?

The Answer: Yes there is something upon him. And it is (the fact) that he did not follow and take the guidance (and instructions) of the Prophet (sallaAllahu alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam), and his saying is (sallaAllahu alayhi wa sallam):

“O Youth, whoever is able from amongst you to get married, then let him get married, for indeed it is better in lowering the gaze and more preserving for your private parts”. (1)

So he commanded the youth that they should get married and he clarified its benefits. And the statement (excuse) that he is distracted (and busy) with studies and with building his future is a false (invalid) statement. And how many people were not at ease during their studies until after they got married. (after marriage) They found ease (and relief), sufficient provision and self-restraint from looking at that which Allaah has made impermissible, like (looking at) women, pictures and the likes.

Therefore, my advice for the youth (young men & women) in general is that they should get married at the earliest opportunity by following the command of the Messenger of Allaah (sallaAllahu Alayhi wa sallam) and in seeking to attain provision; because the married individual wants chastity and modesty (abstinence and protection from that which Allaah has made impermissible), so Allaah the Glorified and Majestic aids him, as it’s been mentioned in the Hadeeth:

“It is a right on Allaah to aid three (types of people)”,

and he mentioned from them:

“The man who marries wanting chastity”.

Descriptions of The Sittings of The Prophet with The Sahaabah

The Prophet’s (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam ) sittings with the Sahaabah were sittings of remembrance of Allaah, urging towards good deeds and making one afraid of the consequences of evil deeds, either through reminders from the Qur’aan, the wisdom (i.e. the Sunnah ) Allaah has given him, fine admonition or learning what will benefit a person in religion.

[1] Husbands & Wives: Is It Permissible for Them to Look at One Another’s Private Parts?

Narrated Aa’isha (radiyallaahu-anhaa): The Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) and I used to take a bath from a single pot of water and our hands used to go in the pot after each other in turn. [Bukhari Number 261]

Al-Haafidh Ibn Hajr (rahimahullaah) said:

Ad-daawoodiy (used this) as evidence regarding the permissibility for a man to look at the private parts of his wife and vice versa. This is supported by what Ibn Hibbaan narrated from Sulaymaan Ibn Moosaa that indeed he was asked regarding a man who looks at the private parts of his wife, so he (Sulaymaan) said: I asked Ataa, who said: ‘’I asked Aa’isha, so he mentioned this hadeeth and it is a determined text in this subject matter”. The Most Dangerous Affair Affecting The Ummah – Shaykh Al Fawzaan

Shaykh Saalih Al Fawzaan (Hafidahullah) said:

“The most dangerous affair upon the ummah right now, are the ignorant callers who don’t know (i.e. do not possess) knowledge and they call the people with ignorance and misguidance.”

Obligation of Repentance (Tawbah) – Shaykh Fawzaan

Belief that Tawbah is an obligation upon the slaves and repenting to Allah is from the major and minor sins

Belief that repentance is an obligation is obligatory, repentance from sins is an obligation Allah Lofty and Sublime said:

‘And turn to Allah all of you, Oh believers so that you may be successful.’ (An-Noor Verse 31)

And He said:

‘O you who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance! It may be that your Lord will remit from you your sins’     (At-Tahrim Verse 8)

And He said:

‘And whosoever does not repent then they are from the Dhalimoon(wrongdoers etc)’ (Al-Hujraat Verse 11)

Therefore it is obligatory for the Muslim to repent from his sins and from his evil deeds and it is obligatory that he does not continue upon them or commence upon them or that he is negligent with regards to sins, and he says; ‘this is easy’

Do not be negligent with it for it is from the sins, rather hasten with repentance.

The Most High said:

‘And those who, when they have committed Fahishah (illegal sexual intercourse etc.) or wronged themselves with evil, remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their sins; – and none can forgive sins but Allah – And do not persist in what (wrong) they have done, while they know.

For such, the reward is Forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing underneath (Paradise), wherein they shall abide forever. How excellent is this reward for the doers (who do righteous deeds according to Allah’s Orders).’ Aal Imraan (Verses 135-136)

Allah commended them and promised them (those who repent)

He said:

‘’Allah accepts only the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and foolishness and repent soon afterwards; it is they to whom Allah will forgive and Allah is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise.

And of no effect is the repentance of those who continue to do evil deeds until death faces one of them and he says: “Now I repent;” (An-Nisaa Verse 17-18)

When death arrives the repentance is not accepted and if mankind continues to live then his repentance in the presence of death is (furthermore) not accepted, so upon him is to rush to make repentance and not to delay it. As soon as he commits a sin he repents to Allah immediately.

Man is not infallible and errors occur from him, shortcomings occur from him, sins occur from him; however Allah Lofty and Sublime by way of his mercy has opened the door of repentance. He has opened for you the door of repentance and he calls you to it and he has promised you that He will forgive you if you are truthful in your repentance. So much so that if a disbeliever repents to Allah; Allah forgives him (the sin of) disbelief, Shirk, the killing of people and other than that.  If he repents to Allah He will forgive him. He said:

‘Say to those who have disbelieved if they cease (from disbelief) their past will be forgiven’ (Al-Anfaal Verse 38)

And in the Hadith:

‘Repentance nullifies that which came before it’ (1)

Therefore the Muslim needs to repent, the Messenger [sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam] use to seek forgiveness and repent to Allah more than a hundred times a day.

He [sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam] said:

‘Oh People! Repent to Allah, verily I repent more than seventy times a day’ (Bukhaari)

His companions (radiallaahu anhum) enumerated that in the gatherings he (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) would say more than a hundred times:

‘I seek Allah’s forgiveness,I seek Allah’s forgiveness’ (Abu Dawood, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah)

And he was the Messenger of Allah he (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam)!

So how about other than him?!

Therefore we need to repent to Allah the Lofty and Sublime, Man is not infallible sins occur from him, shortcomings occur from him, and mistakes occur from him, so he needs to repent.

And all the praises belong to Allah that He has opened the door of repentance for us and He has promised that He will accept (our repentance) and wipe away our sins.

Conduct & Mannerisms of The Student of Knowledge – Ash Shaykh Zayd bin Haadi

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Al Allaamah  Zayd bin Haadi Al Madkhalee:

“So congratulations to every Student of Knowledge who has purified his intention for Allah whilst seeking that knowledge and intended by it the pleasure of Allah.

And he who adorned himself with the characteristics and attributes of the Students of Knowledge of old, from holding onto tranquility, dignity and maintaining good conduct with one’s teacher and peers, and with the people in general. Since it is through these mannerisms and other than them from those commendable traits that the Students of Knowledge are distinguished from the rest of the people. So they are the elite and best from the people no doubt!”
