Allah, The Most High, said:

Who made everything He has created good, and He began the creation of man from clay. [Al-Sajdah 7]

Allah, The Most High, said:

وَمِنۡ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ خَلۡقُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱخۡتِلَـٰفُ أَلۡسِنَتِڪُمۡ وَأَلۡوَٲنِكُمۡ‌ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٲلِكَ لَأَيَـٰتٍ۬ لِّلۡعَـٰلِمِينَ

And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and colours. Verily, in that are indeed signs for men of sound knowledge]. [Al Rum. 22]

A troubling trend is observed among some black and Asian women, particularly in the pursuit of beauty, while often ignoring the truth that beauty is subjective and varies from person to person. Those who break free from the influence of those who exploit beauty standards as a means of asserting racial superiority or perfection are the ones who recognize that beauty is a deeply personal concept. Each culture has its own definition of physical beauty, which may differ from that of another nation, although there are instances where countries share similar views on beauty regarding appearance and physical characteristics. However, this article aims to highlight the extreme lengths some individuals go to in order to change their physical appearance due to feelings of inferiority, which can lead to self-harm. In this context, we must acknowledge the dangerous practice of skin lightening, which many pursue to attain a lighter skin tone. According to experts, this practice can diminish the concentration or production of melanin in the skin, and melanin is the pigment responsible for skin color and its protection against sun damage.

Some have argued that this perilous and addictive behaviour originated from the inferiority complex instilled by colonialists in those who were entirely deprived of their identity or those who equate beauty with the standards set by the previous slave master, as mental slavery is more abiding than physical slavery. Therefore, this issue cannot be resolved unless there is an understanding that, above all, beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. Most importantly, even if an individual is deemed beautiful or attractive—an inherently subjective assessment—it is perfectly acceptable for someone to embrace their own definition of beauty without allowing it to devolve into racial bias or inferiority complex. Consequently, following the end of the demoralisation inflicted by certain colonialists—such as the practice of segregating dark-skinned slaves from their lighter-skinned counterparts by forcing the former to toil under the sun on plantations while the latter worked in the houses—there is no justification for any black woman, in particular, to chase after a notion of beautification that reflects an inferiority complex. However, many black and Asian women staunchly oppose the practice of skin bleaching, recognising its ties to colonialism.

The sensible person aims to nurture the next generation with a solid foundation of faith, strong confidence, and a clear sense of identity. When it comes to their preferences in a spouse, they do not poke their noses into what physical beauty is appealing to their children, as we have previously mentioned that beauty is subjective. In addition and most important of all, they educate them to recognise that true status, dignity, and inner beauty are rooted in Islam, and as the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, stated: ““Verily, Allah does not look at your appearance or wealth, but rather He looks at your hearts and actions.” [Sahih Muslim 2564]

Having committed themselves to instilling values of virtue and piety in their children, they take pride in their choice to marry individuals of any skin color. They rejoice in the fact that they will not select a partner burdened by an inferiority complex, whether related to skin tone or any other aspect, as Islam fosters dignity and virtue.

Imam Muhammad Ibn Salih Al-Uthaymin, may Allah have mercy upon him, was asked:

It has become widespread among the people, especially women, to use some chemicals and natural herbs that change the colour of the skin, so that coloured (brown or non-white skin) becomes white after applying these chemicals and natural herbs, and so on. Is there a Sharee’ah prohibition against this? And bear in mind that some husbands command their wives to use these chemicals and natural herbs whilst citing as proof that it is obligated on a woman to beautify herself for her husband.

Answer: If this change is permanent, then it is forbidden; rather it is one of the major sins, because indeed it is worse than tattooing in relation to altering what Allah has created. Indeed, it has been established (by way authentic narration) from the Prophet (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) that he cursed the women who do hair extensions and the woman who does it for others, the woman who does tattoos and the woman who does it for them. In Bukhari and Muslim, Abdullah Ibn Mas’ud, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “May Allah curse the women who do tattoos and the women who have them done, and the women who pluck eyebrows and the women who have that done, and the women who file their teeth for the purpose of beautification, those who change the creation of Allah”. And he said, “Why should I not curse those whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) cursed?”

The one who attaches hair extensions is the one whose hair is short so she adds something to it, whether hair or something similar. The woman who does tattoos is one who puts the tattoo on the skin by inserting a needle and what is similar, then she fills that place with kohl or something similar which alters the colour of the skin. The woman who seeks for tattoos to be done is the one who asks someone else to do a tattoo on her. The woman who plucks eyebrows is the one who plucks hair from the face- from her eyebrows or for others. The woman who seeks for that to be done is the one who asks that her eyebrows are plucked. The woman who files her teeth is the one who asks someone else to file her teeth in order to widen the gaps between them. All of these deeds are tantamount to changing what Allah has created and what has been stated in the question is more severe – with regards to changing what Allah has created – than what has been stated in the hadeeth. But if the change is not permanent, such as henna and the like, then there is nothing wrong with it because it will disappear, such as kohl, using red cosmetic on the cheeks and lips. Therefore, it is obligatory to be careful, warn against altering what Allah has created and spread the warning among the Ummah lest evil spread, become widespread and difficult to reverse it. Allah [The Exalted] says:

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبۡ لَنَا مِنۡ أَزۡوَٲجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعۡيُنٍ۬ وَٱجۡعَلۡنَا لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: They ask Allah to grant them the comfort of the eye by making their wives and offspring obedient to Allah, grant them happiness in their hearts due to being followed by the righteous in obedience and servitude to Allah. [1]

Allah, The Exalted, says:

In this article, we will provide a brief commentary on the bragging and misleading assertions transmitted by Amichai Stein from an American ideologue. The claims of this ideologue once again reveal the entitlement of those who back Netanyahu and the IDF, as well as their ongoing efforts to distract readers from the core issue. They assert their actions without being able to justify their appropriation of what does not belong to them, instead merely making claims and seeking the endorsement of like-minded individuals.

Response: We insist that this title could have been phrased like this: Just invade, which may result in more deaths or not, and you can also gain a greater advantage to seize more land and reinforce the invasion, plunder, brutality, and theft that has been ongoing since 1948. Furthermore, do not feel the need to apologise for anything, as the so-called most powerful nation on earth is backing you, even though they will eventually face their Lord one day to answer for their actions.

Amichai said: Republican Congressman Randy Fine, a staunch pro-Israel voice from Florida, is spending this week in Israel – and his message to the Israeli government is crystal clear: stop apologizing, stop trying to please international critics, and focus on winning the war in Gaza. Response: No apologies are expected from Netanyahu or the IDF, nor have they ever tried to please anyone. They have never listened to those who reveal their crimes, which are as obvious as the midday sun since 1948. This is because they consider themselves above all accountability, moral expectations, and fair play. Instead, these matters  are subjected to their moral judgments, which are based on questionable claims of ownership and entitlement. Therefore, this American ideologue is only playing psychological games that are deceitfully played to present oneself as exceeding the standards expected of any rational person who is not aligned with a Firawnic and Namrudic temperament. The entire world observes the situation in Gaza, yet they gather numerous writers from all over to distort the narrative, obscure the reality, or divert attention from the main issue, which has been nothing but occupation and theft since 1948. They have demonstrated to the world during this war that they are capable of the most brutal and merciless actions against the vulnerable, all while framing it as collateral damage in their so-called self-defense.

Furthermore, the issue this American ideologue has identified as a problem is not a real problem. Instead, it is a systematic approach to demoralising, oppressing, and brutalising a victim until they surrender. It is not merely a problem but a malevolent strategy that they attempt to frame differently to appear as if they are upholding all moral standards expected of rational individuals. However, their acts of brutality and the behaviour of their settlers mirror that of Fir’awn and his sinful followers, who dismissed every logical argument in favour of propaganda and a false sense of moral superiority. Despite Fir’awn’s evident criminality, he accused the noble Musa, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. This is precisely what Netanyahu, the IDF and their die hard supporters are doing as well; they have been invaders and transgressors since 1948, retaliating excessively and unjustly. They are cunning, using the services and naivety of those who enable them to rationalise their brutality, such as Hamas and their counterparts.

Response: If the hostages were truly Netanyahu’s main concern, he wouldn’t have prolonged the war while causing the deaths of thousands of Palestinian women and children. Instead, his unwitting accomplice Hamas has allowed him to chase his more sinister objective: the appropriation of additional land and obstacle to the two state solution as demanded by Muslim rulers. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have proposed relocating Gazans outside of Palestine. This remains his agenda, and the only reason he has ceased discussing it recently is due to the backlash from the global community, including some of their allies who support him openly and others who do so covertly, as they find the idea too contentious. Regardless who governs Gaza, Netanyahu and his Zionist gang remain occupiers and thieves as long as they refuse to withdraw to the 1967 borders. However, no matter what agreements the Muslim rulers make with the Zionists to protect the innocent from Netanyahu’s unprecedented brutality and callousness since World War II, it would still be a better situation.

Response: This is due to the fact that lies, no matter how long they persist, will ultimately be revealed. Firawn engaged in deceit for many years, yet he was eventually uncovered. In a similar vein, Netanyahu and his gang have perpetuated lies, intimidation, and cruelty for a long time, and now, with the rise of social media, their fabrications, along with their true essence and reality, can no longer remain hidden. Indeed, they are perilously far from good conduct and fair play, and they are alarmingly close to the flames of hell if they persist in disbelief, deception, impunity, and brutality.

Response: This is not a war; it is an invasion characterised by theft and a lack of compassion, rooted in impunity and false assertions since 1948. While there are terrorists within various groups, including Muslims, Christians, Hindus, and others, it is crucial to acknowledge that there are also terrorists among Zionists and Jews. The Zionist state has perpetrated atrocities in recent history that no nation claiming moral superiority has committed. All terrorists engage in deceit, including Zionist terrorists and genocidal figures such as Netanyahu and his associates, but the global community is increasingly unwilling to heed their narratives. The reason for this shift is that their propaganda has become antiquated, and the public has recognised that terrorists excel at initiating their campaigns with propaganda. This mirrors the strategy of Firawn, who committed his offenses, disseminated propaganda to garner support from his people, coerced those who questioned his integrity, and subsequently accused Musa, peace be upon him, of being the wrongdoer. Netanyahu and his gang are replicating this behaviour: conducting an invasion and theft, but also exposing innocent individuals within their community to the unchecked emotions of those who cannot distinguish between the actions of Netanyahu and those of others. Antisemitism is a malevolent force, just as Netanyahu’s actions have been malevolent for a long time. The actions of Hamas against non-combatants on October 7th are reprehensible and denounced without any reservation, and Netanyahu’s subsequent retaliation has escalated into genocide and ethnic cleansing. Must call a spade a spade!

Truly amusing! Since 1948, no rational individual anticipates any form of decency from those specific Zionists who give little consideration to Palestinian dignity. This American ideologue is insulting our intelligence through his absurd psychological manipulations. The greatest spreaders of misinformation are Netanyahu and his associates; in fact, Netanyahu propagated one of the most serious lies in 2001 concerning Iraq and its so called weapons of mass destruction. Despite the shortcomings of the international media, Netanyahu’s cruelty is unmistakable. You will all give account on the day of Judgement, regardless of who tells the tale.

The facts are evident in this ideologue’s Zionist visage, being forcefully pushed down his throat while the truth suffocates him. Allah, The Most High, said:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تُقَدِّمُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيِ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ

O you who believe! Do not put (yourselves) forward before Allah and His Messenger, and fear Allah. Verily! Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

When it is the case that Allah forbade us from giving precedence to (ourselves) over the Messenger, then which type of giving precedence to oneself over the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, can be more severe than giving precedence to one’s intellect over the revelation he was sent with? Many of the pious predecessors have stated that this Ayah means: “Do not say anything (about the religion) until the Messenger speaks and do not act until he commands you”. The most disobedient person among the people and the most severe with regards to giving precedence to himself over the Messenger is the one who gives precedence to his intellect or the intellect of another person over the revelation. And when it is the case that Allah has forbidden them (i.e. humankind) from raising their voices above the voice of the Messenger, then how about raising their intellects above the statements of the Messenger and the revelation he conveyed?! Allah (The Most High) said:

لَّا تَجۡعَلُواْ دُعَآءَ ٱلرَّسُولِ بَيۡنَڪُمۡ كَدُعَآءِ بَعۡضِكُم بَعۡضً۬ا‌ۚ قَدۡ يَعۡلَمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَسَلَّلُونَ مِنكُمۡ لِوَاذً۬ا‌ۚ فَلۡيَحۡذَرِ ٱلَّذِينَ يُخَالِفُونَ عَنۡ أَمۡرِهِۦۤ أَن تُصِيبَہُمۡ فِتۡنَةٌ أَوۡ يُصِيبَہُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

Make not the calling of the Messenger (Muhammad) among you as your calling of one another. Allah knows those of you who slip away under shelter (of some excuse without taking the permission to leave, from the Messenger). And let those who oppose the Messenger’s (Muhammad) commandment (i.e. his Sunnah legal ways, orders, acts of worship, statements, etc.) (among the sects) beware, lest some Fitnah befall them or a painful torment be inflicted on them. Imam Ahmad, may Allah have mercy upon him, said about this Ayah: Do you know what Al-Fitnah is? Al-Fitnah is Shirk. Perhaps if he [i.e. the person] rejects some of his [i.e. the Prophet’s] statements, then something of deviation enters his heart, so he is destroyed. (3)

Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

All praise is due to Allah, who in every age and interval between the Prophets, raises up a group from the people of knowledge, who call the misguided to guidance, patiently bear ill-treatment and harm. With the Book of Allah they give life to the dead and with the Light of Allah they give sight to the blind. How many a person killed by Iblees (the Devil) they have revived, how beautiful their effect has been upon the people, and how vile the people have been towards them! They remove from Allah’s Book the alterations of those going beyond bounds, the false claims of the liars and the false interpretations of the ignoramus- those who uphold the banner of Bidah and let loose the trials and discords, who oppose the Book and agree upon opposing the Book. They speak about Allah and his Book without knowledge, argue about what is ambiguous in the Book and deceive the ignorant ones with such ambiguities. We seek refuge in Allah from the trials of the misguided ones. (4)

Dani Dayan, It’s a Genocide! No Gaslighting, Minimisation, Damage Limitation Exercise, Nor Insult Our Intelligence

In this post, we seek to remind Dani Dayan that there is no tolerance for gaslighting, minimisation, or damage control concerning the well-documented and observed reality that the unnecessary extension of the conflict in Gaza, along with the human suffering experienced, can only be classified as genocide and war crimes. Therefore, no amount of eloquent speech or attempts to appear compassionate regarding the situation in Gaza will persuade us of the good intentions of any writer that supports the IDF or Netanyahu, especially when they neglect to confront the root issue, which is simply the fact that since 1948, Palestinians have been killed, their lands seized, and they have been terrorised by soldiers serving successive Zionist regimes in Palestine. Therefore, what follows in the effort to reveal the truth will undoubtedly reinforce the foundation of the problem.

Dani stated: Yad Vashem: Israel’s war in Gaza is not genocide, but we must act morally – exclusive. To equate the IDF, fighting to protect Israeli citizens from a terrorist army that embeds itself within civilian areas, with the Nazis, is not only false, but morally reprehensible. [end of quote]

Response: To boldly assert that the Gaza conflict is not genocide while simultaneously claiming the moral high ground reveals the severely distorted mindset of anyone who utters such speech. To ignore all the other atrocities – land theft, displacing Palestinians, starving communities, and relentlessly murdering Palestinians for more than seventy years, and then hoping for a positive reputation, is a notion held only by those who are utterly delusional—namely, Netanyahu and his associates.

Dani stated: The war in Gaza has brought the State of Israel and the Jewish people to a moment of profound pain, resolve, and moral testing. After the barbaric massacre of October 7 committed by Hamas and the taxing fighting that has followed, Israelis have stood united in grief, outrage, and a fierce commitment to self-defense. He and his Zionist gang are determined to continue their oppression while simultaneously criminalising anyone who dares to call for an immediate cessation of their genocidal activities. Following the horrific massacre on October 7 by Hamas against non-combatants and defenseless civilians, every rational individual condemned Hamas’s actions. [Footnote a] However, the retaliatory measures pursued by Firawnyahu and his far-right faction amount to nothing less than genocide. Thus, while Dani and his people unite in sorrow, anger, and a commitment to self-defense, this does not excuse the extensive and needless loss of Palestinian lives. Instead, this ongoing conflict serves merely as a façade for Namrudyahu’s agenda to displace the Gazans in his quest for the so-called ownership of the promised land. Dani stated: Hamas’s atrocities on October 7 were the most horrific crimes committed against Jews since the Holocaust: the deliberate slaughter of civilians, rape, torture, and the kidnapping of children and the elderly. Given the opportunity, Hamas would carry it out again. [end of quote]

Response: The horrific acts perpetrated by Hamas against innocent civilians and non-combatants are consistently denounced by rational individuals. However, it’s important to note that Hamas did not come into existence until the late 1980s, therefore, we must not forget that since 1948, sucessive Zionist regimes have been brutalising Palestinians. Sucessive Zionist regimes have been killing, injuring, crippling, and imprisoning Palestinians, employing snipers against them long before Hamas appeared. While all of this is true, Hamas’s actions against unarmed civilians and non-combatants are indefensible and are condemned without any reservations. However, the brutality encountered from successive Zionist regimes is unparalleled since the end of World War II.

Dani stated: Israel has the right and the duty to protect its citizens and dismantle this murderous threat. But as we do so, we must also uphold the values that define us: the sanctity of life, the rule of law, and the moral compass that has always guided the Jewish people, the State of Israel, and the IDF. Response: Palestinians also deserve safety and the right to own their land without harassment or aggression from settlers. They also have the right to live with dignity, free from violations of the privacy of their wives, sisters, mothers, and daughters and grandmothers. Moreover, when has the IDF ever upheld the rule of law, shown respect for life, or acted morally towards Palestinians? How can a thief, an armed robber, or a delusional person claim to enforce the law? The IDF is infamous for its brutality, and no amount of false claims of moral superiority can deceive us, as we have seen the atrocities committed in Gaza—babies killed, places of worship destroyed, schools and hospitals bombed, medical personnel and journalists targeted, ambulances attacked—all under the pretense of self-defense and retaliation. Even animals do not deserve such treatment. Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said, “An ant bit one of the Prophets, so he ordered that the colony of ants be burned. Allah revealed to him: ‘One ant has bitten you, so you destroy one of the nations that praise Allah?!'” [al-Bukhari 3019 and Muslim 2241]

Dani stated: We must never lose sight of the scores of Israeli hostages who remain in Hamas’s brutal captivity. They are being held in cruel and inhumane conditions, deprived of the most basic rights, and used as bargaining chips by a terrorist organization that scorns international law. Their continued suffering is a national wound and a moral outrage. [end of quote]

Response: If Shaytanyahu genuinely cared about the hostages held by Hamas and not just his own political interests, he would not have extended this conflict. If he really valued the hostages, he would have ceased hostilities; instead, this ongoing war serves as a cover to displace the people of Gaza. No one disregards fair play more than Namrudyahu. Moreover, all captives deserve humane treatment, and whenever demonstrated, without exaggeration or propaganda, that Hamas or any other group mistreats hostages, they should be condemned for such actions and stopped, as the final revelation mandates the humane treatment of prisoners of war. However, no one has been more brutal towards prisoners than the successive Zionist governments. Furthermore, Gaza functions as an open-air prison.

Dani said: The demand for their immediate and unconditional release must remain at the forefront of our national and international efforts. [end of quote]

Response: Indeed, neither should those non-combatant hostages be held nor brutalised, and you are entitled to claim what is rightfully yours. Similarly, the Palestinians have the right to insist that you cease killing them, stop appropriating their land, and halt the abuse and maiming of their children. Regarding the undeniable fact that there are Gazans with no ties to terrorism, one must ask: how can a nation be brutalized for so many years and have their land taken, with every aspect of their lives controlled, yet their resistance is labeled as terrorism? Instead of using this rhetoric, the solution is simple: return to the borders of 1967, as all Muslim leaders have demanded. In stating this, any Palestinian who commits acts of aggression against non-combatants must be held accountable; however, the errors made by Palestinians in their struggle to escape the brutality of successive Zionist regimes are minuscule compared to the massive atrocities inflicted upon them by Zionist security forces and settlers for over seventy years. Our grandparents spoke of these events, and now we are witnessing the same situation. We must call a spade a spade.

Dani stated: Their anguish is real, and our moral tradition obligates us not to turn away from it. Hamas bears full responsibility for turning Gaza into a battlefield and embedding itself among civilians, using them as human shields in a blatant breach of international law, but that does not absolve us from striving to minimize harm to civilians. Sins are Major and Minor – Shaykh Fawzaan

إِن تَجۡتَنِبُواْ كَبَآئِرَ مَا تُنۡهَوۡنَ عَنۡهُ نُكَفِّرۡ عَنكُمۡ سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمۡ وَنُدۡخِلۡكُم مُّدۡخَلًا كَرِيمًا

If you avoid the great sins which you are forbidden to do, We shall remit from you your (small) sins, and admit you to a Noble Entrance (i.e. Paradise). An-Nisa’ 4:31

Allah’s statement contains a clear indication that sins are of different types: major and minor. Whoever avoids the major sins, Allah will pardon and forgive their minor sins. This is a promise from Allah, Subhanahu wa Ta’ala.

وَنُدۡخِلۡكُم مُّدۡخَلًا كَرِيمًا

and admit you to a Noble Entrance (i.e. Paradise). An-Nisa’ 4:31

This too is a promise from Allah. Within this verse lies a refutation of the methodology of the Khawarij and the Mu’tazilah, who claim that the perpetrator of a major sin exits the fold of Islam. In contrast, the methodology of Ahlus-Sunnah is the truth—balanced, far removed from extremism, negligence, exaggeration (ghuloo) and transgression in the religion.

ٱلَّذِينَ يَجۡتَنِبُونَ كَبَٰٓئِرَ ٱلۡإِثۡمِ وَٱلۡفَوَٰحِشَ إِلَّا ٱللَّمَمَۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ وَٰسِعُ ٱلۡمَغۡفِرَةِۚ

Those who avoid great sins (see the Quran, Verses: 6:152, 153) and Al-Fawahish (illegal sexual intercourse, etc.) except the small faults, verily, your Lord is of vast forgiveness. An-Najm 53:32

This verse is one of the evidences that sins are categorised as major and minor.

كَبَٰٓئِرَ ٱلۡإِثۡمِ

Major sins; refers to the various acts of disobedience which reach the level of a major sin.

Al-Fawahish is the plural of Faahishah and refers to sins that are especially abhorrent and repulsive.

His statement – the Most High – إِلَّا ٱللَّمَمَۚ (except the small faults) refers to minor sins, which are expiated through various means, including:

• Abstaining from major sins, as mentioned in the verse.

• Performing the five daily prayers.

• Enduring calamities that befall a person—such as illness, disease, grief, and the loss of loved ones.

• Even something as small as a Muslim being pricked by a thorn, as is reported in the Hadith.¹

All of these affairs expiate minor sins, this is from the favours of Allah.

Additionally, He the Most High, said in another verse in Surah ash-Shoora,


وَٱلَّذِينَ يَجۡتَنِبُونَ كَبَٰٓئِرَ ٱلۡإِثۡمِ وَٱلۡفَوَٰحِشَ وَإِذَا مَا غَضِبُواْ هُمۡ يَغۡفِرُونَ

And those who avoid the greater sins, and Al-Fawahish (illegal sexual intercourse, etc.), and when they are angry, they forgive Ash-Shura 42:37

This verse is another proof that sins are distinguished as major and minor.

وَلَا تَرْكَنُوا إِلَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا فَتَمَسَّكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ ثُمَّ لَا تُنصَرُونَ

And incline not toward those who do wrong, lest the Fire should touch you, and you have no protectors other than Allah, nor you would then be helped. (Hud: 113)

Al-Allamah Rabee Bin Hadi al-Mad’khali, may Allah have mercy upon him, stated:

Do not incline towards the oppressors – those who unjustly harm the people, by shedding their blood, seizing their wealth, and violating their honour. They may also oppress the people in matters of religion through bidah, misguidance, and spreading harmful propaganda that contradicts Islam. Avoid associating with any of these individuals; do not support or assist them in their falsehood. The verse covers all categories of oppressors. Every follower of falsehood, every innovator in religious matters, and anyone who dishonours a Muslim is considered an oppressor. Therefore, refrain from aligning yourself with any of them to avoid being affected by the fire of hell. When you incline towards a sinner, an innovator in religious affairs, an oppressor, a criminal, someone who dishonours others, or those who violate the sanctity of the divine legislation, it is as if you are pleased with them, as if you are aiding and abetting them. [1]

He (i.e. Ahmad Tijani) said in Jawaahir Al-Ma’aanee: Indeed a single utterance of ‘Salatul Faatiha’ is equal to every ‘Tasbeeh’ (i.e. to say Subhaanallaah) that takes place in the ‘kawn’ (i.e. the entire existence or universe). Response to the above claim of Ahmad Tijani:

Then Al-Allaamah Abdur Rahman stated:

I think the one who uttered this speech is not really aware who Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, is! He is not really aware of what Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was sent with and why Muhammad was sent.

Indeed the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, definitely fulfilled the trust he was entrusted with; conveyed the message and strove in the path of Allah until he passed away.  He is the seal of the Prophets and the legislation (in belief and acts of worship) he conveyed abrogates every other law until the day of judgement. There is no human being who has ever brought anything similar to what the Messenger Muhammad  brought after he left this world. Whoever claims that there is a revelation or that he has received revelation after Muhammad, then indeed this is the greatest lie against Allah.  Allah, The Most High, said:

وَلَا تَقُولُواْ لِمَا تَصِفُ أَلۡسِنَتُڪُمُ ٱلۡكَذِبَ هَـٰذَا حَلَـٰلٌ۬ وَهَـٰذَا حَرَامٌ۬ لِّتَفۡتَرُواْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡكَذِبَ‌ۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفۡتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡكَذِبَ لَا يُفۡلِحُونَ
مَتَـٰعٌ۬ قَلِيلٌ۬ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ۬

And say not concerning that which your tongues put forth falsely: “This is lawful and this is forbidden,” so as to invent lies against Allah. Verily, those who invent lies against Allah will never prosper.  A passing brief enjoyment (will be theirs), but they will have a painful torment.’’ [An-Nahl. 116-117]

The Prophet said:
وخير ما قلت أنا والنبيون من قبلي: لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير

And the best thing said by me and the previous prophets is: ”There is no deity worthy of worship other than Allah, who is alone, having no partner. His is the dominion, and to Him belongs all praise. He is, of everything, All-Capable.”  [Silsilah As-Sahihah. Number: 1503]

Therefore, will anyone with a sound intellect affirm that a single utterance of Salatul Fatiha is better than a single Dhikr that has been transmitted from the Prophet with an authentic chain of transmission, let alone all the Adhkaar (supplications) that take place in the Kawn (i.e. the entire existence or universe)?  Do you not use your intellects?! O people! Did they [Adam, Nuh, Musaa, Eesaa and Muhammad (peace be upon them)] not used to remember Allaah? So is the innovator of this Tareeqah Tijaaniyyah better than these Prophets?

He (i.e. Ahmad Tijaani) stated in Al-Ifaadah (page: 80): ”Whoever does not believe that it (i.e. Salatul Fatihah) is from the Qur’aan will not receive a reward from it [i.e. he or she will not be rewarded for reciting Salatul Fatiha]”.

So we say: Whoever believes that (Salatul Fatiha) is from the Qur’an, then indeed he has committed clear disbelief because revelation is not sent down except to a Prophet. We do not find this (Salatul Fatiha) in the Qur’an; rather not even in a fabricated hadeeth attributed to Allah’s Messenger.  Is the one to whom ‘Salatul Fatiha’ was revealed a Prophet or a Wali?  If he is a Wali, then revelation is never sent down to a Wali.

The people in this Tijani path are two types of people: The first group: If they believe that ‘Salatul Fatiha’ is from the Qur’an, then indeed they have exited the fold of Islam. (I) The second group: If they believe that ‘Salatul Fatiha’ is not from the Qur’an, then indeed they have exited from their Tijani path because there is no reward in it. (1)

Knowledge of The Unseen – A Brief Rebuttal Against All The Extremist Sufis

Neither Do the Prophets, Messengers and Angels Possess Knowledge of Unseen nor Does Allah Reveal the Unseen to Anyone Else, Except What He Wishes to Inform the Prophets and Messengers

Allah (The Most High) said: [وَعِنْدَهُ مَفَاتِحُ الْغَيْبِ لَا يَعْلَمُهَا إِلَّا هُوَ – And with Him are the keys of the Ghaib (all that is hidden), none knows them but He].

In his explanation of the above Ayah, Imaam Ash-Shanqeetee, may Allah have mercy upon him, brought a number of robust proofs to demonstrate and establish that even the most knowledgeable amongst the creation- Allah’s Messengers and Angels-do not posses knowledge of the Unseen. The Imam, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

Proof A: Aa’isha (may Allah be pleased with her] was falsely accused and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] did not know whether she was innocent or not until Allah informed him, saying: [ أُولَٰئِكَ مُبَرَّءُونَ مِمَّا يَقُولُونَ- ‘Such (good people) are innocent of (each and every) bad statement which they say].

Proof B: Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him,  slaughtered a lamb for the angels, whilst not knowing that they were angels until they informed him that they were angels. Allah said that the angels said to him: [إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِ لُوطٍ    – We have been sent against the people of Lout (Lot). (11:70)]

Proof C: When the angels came to Prophet Lut (peace be upon him), he did not know that they were angels, and due to that Allah said: [عَصِيبٌ سِيءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًا وَقَالَ هَٰذَا يَوْمٌ – He was grieved on their account and felt himself straitened for them (lest the town people should approach them to commit lewdness with them). He said: This is a distressful day]. And because of this Allah said that lut said: [لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَىٰ رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ  – Would that I had strength (men) to overpower you, or that I could betake myself to some powerful support (to resist you). (11:80)]. He did not know the news the angels brought until they said to him: [إِنَّا رُسُلُ رَبِّكَ لَنْ يَصِلُوا إِلَيْكَ – Verily, we are the Messengers from your Lord!]

Proof D: Prophet Ya’qub, peace be upon him, lost his eye sight due to grieving for Yusuf (peace be upon him), whilst he was in Egypt.  He did not know anything about Yusuf until Allah reveal news about him.

Proof E: Prophet Sulayman (peace be upon him), even though Allah gave him authority over the devils and subjugated the wind in his service, did not know about the people Bilqees until the Hud-hud came with news about them. Allah said that the Hud-hud said: [أَحَطْتُ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهِ وَجِئْتُكَ مِنْ سَبَإٍ بِنَبَإٍ يَقِينٍ  – I have grasped (the knowledge of a thing) which you have not grasped and I have come to you from Saba’ (Sheba) with true news].

Proof F: Prophet Nuh (peace be upon him) did not know that his son – who was drowned- was not from those members of his household who were to be saved, as Allah said that Nuh said: [رَبِّ إِنَّ ابْنِي مِنْ أَهْلِي وَإِنَّ وَعْدَكَ الْحَقُّ   – O my Lord! Verily, my son is of my family! And certainly, Your Promise is true.(11:45)]

He did not know the reality of the affair until Allah informed him, saying:

[بِهِ عِلْمٌ ۖ إِنِّي أَعِظُكَ أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ قَالَ يَا نُوحُ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ ۖ إِنَّهُ عَمَلٌ غَيْرُ صَالِحٍ ۖ فَلَا تَسْأَلْنِ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ  – He said: “O Nuh (Noah)! Surely, he is not of your family; verily, his work is unrighteous, so ask not of Me that of which you have no knowledge! I admonish you, lest you be one of the ignorant].

And indeed Allah (The Most High) also stated in Surah Hud about Nuh that he said to his people: [وَلَا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِنْدِي خَزَائِنُ اللَّهِ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ الْغَيْبَ -And I do not say to you that with me are the Treasures of Allah, “Nor that I know the Ghaib (unseen)].

Proof G: And when Allah said to the Angels:  [هَٰؤُلَاءِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ أَنْبِئُونِي بِأَسْمَاءِ -Tell Me the names of these if you are truthful]; Allah said that the angels replied: [قَالُوا سُبْحَانَكَ لَا عِلْمَ لَنَا إِلَّا مَا عَلَّمْتَنَا  -They (angels) said: “Glory be to You, we have no knowledge except what you have taught us.

Therefore, it is very clear that the most knowledgeable amongst the creation, the Messengers and the Angels, do not know anything of the unseen except what Allah makes known to them. Allah (The Most High) informs His Messengers what He wishes from the knowledge of the Unseen, as Allah stated:

[وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُطْلِعَكُمْ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ يَجْتَبِي مِنْ رُسُلِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۖ- Nor will Allah disclose to you the secrets of the Ghaib (unseen), but Allah chooses of His Messengers whom He pleases].

And Allah said: [إِلَّا مَنِ ارْتَضَىٰ مِنْ رَسُولٍ  عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ فَلَا يُظْهِرُ عَلَىٰ غَيْبِهِ أَحَد- (He Alone) the All-Knower of the Gha’ib (unseen), and He reveals to none His Gha’ib (unseen).” Except to a Messenger (from mankind)…(2)
