[11.2] Abu Makkah’s Companion (Muhammad Abdur Razzaaq) Opens a Can of Worms

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Muhammad Abdur-Razzaaq stated:

Imaam Ahmad [may Allah have mercy upon him] stated in a letter to the Khaleefah Al-Mutawakkil [may Allah have mercy upon him], “Among other things, it is not permissible to seek the aid and assistance of Ahlul Bid’ah Wal-Ahwaa [the people of Bidah and vain desires] in anything regarding the affairs of the Muslims because that is of greater harm upon the religion”. [1]

We ask Muhammad: Is there anything that a supporter of bid’ah would accomplish that the Scholars of Sunnah of our time haven’t already done, whether through their speech, publications, refutations, or the clarifications of their upright students in the East and the West?! In addition to the fact that this person still upholds his bid’ah, does Islam need a proponent of bid’ah to defend anything on its behalf?! Is it not more important for a proponent of Bid’ah in the East or West to give up his Bid’ah than to refute the Kuffaar, which has been done for many years and is still being done by upright people of Sunnah?! Can Muhammad guarantee that applauding any proponent of Bidah will not garner him more esteem and make the people more inclined towards him, making him a greater trial and evil for the common people and those duped by him?!

Imam Ash-Shaatibee [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: “Indeed, showing reverence to a person of Bid’ah is the basis of two corruptions that lead to the destruction of Islam. One of them is that the ignorant and the common people will pay attention to that reverence, and believe that the Mubtadi is the best of people and that what he is doing is better than what others are doing, so this leads them to follow him in his Bida’ah and not follow Ahlus Sunnah in their adherence to Sunnah. The second affair is that if he is shown reverence due to his Bid’ah, this would become like the spur for him to initiate Bid’ah in everything. And whatever the case may be, Bida’ah will become alive and the Sunan dies, which is the destruction of Islam itself”. [2]

Finally, Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Madkhali [may Allah preserve him] stated: Being mindful of Ahlul Bid’ah, having hatred for them, boycotting and cutting them off is the correct path of protection of Ahlus Sunnah against falling into their Fitnah. Being lackadaisical about them, having a good suspicion of them, and inclining towards them is the beginning of the path of misguidance and deviation.

And incline not toward those who do wrong, lest the fire should touch you.
Surah Hud. Ayah 113

Who is more unjust than Ahlul Bid’ah? Ahlul Bid’ah are more evil than the sinners and the disobedient, and for that reason, the Jusrist of Basra and the most intelligent of them Salaam Bin Abee Mutee [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “It is more beloved to me that I meet Allah with Hajjaaj’s scroll of (deeds in the Hereafter) than meet Him with Amr Bin Ubaid’s”. Amr Bin Ubaid was a Zaahid and a worshipper Maashaa-Allaah, but he was a Mubtadi and a misguided one, and Hajjaaj was an evil-doer, a shedder of blood, and a criminal. He [Salaam Bin Abee Mutee] held that if he were to make a choice between meeting Allah with Hajjaaj’s scroll and that of Amr Bin Ubaid, he would choose to meet Allah with Hajjaaj’s -the bloodshedder and oppressive evil doer. And why is this? Due to his realisation of the danger and ugliness of bid’ah. And it is enough for us that the Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] described (bidah) in his khutbah as the worst of all affairs, as reported in the Hadeeth of Jaabir [may Allah be pleased with him]. [3]

Question to Muhammad: We are all aware that Zuhd and commitment to worship are virtues adored by the Ummah, and those who possess these outstanding traits are held in high regard; therefore, why did Salaam Bin Abee Mutee regard the Mubtadi’ah in such a way that a Zaahid and dedicated worshipper was not honoured in his eyes?! The answer is very clear for everyone to see.

Say (O Muhammad ): “Do you verily disbelieve in Him Who created the earth in two Days and you set up rivals (in worship) with Him? That is the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists). He placed therein (i.e. the earth) firm mountains from above it, and He blessed it, and measured therein its sustenance (for its dwellers) in four Days equal (i.e. all these four ‘days’ were equal in the length of time), for all those who ask (about its creation). Then He Istawa (rose over) towards the heaven when it was smoke, and said to it and to the earth: “Come both of you willingly or unwillingly.” They both said: “We come, willingly.” Then He completed and finished from their creation (as) seven heavens in two Days and He made in each heaven its affair. And We adorned the nearest (lowest) heaven with lamps (stars) to be an adornment as well as to guard (from the devils by using them as missiles against the devils). Such is the Decree of Him the All-Mighty, the All-Knower. [Surah Fussilat. Ayaat 9-12]

[وَجَعَلَ فِيہَا رَوَٲسِىَ مِن فَوۡقِهَا وَبَـٰرَكَ فِيہَا وَقَدَّرَ فِيہَآ أَقۡوَٲتَہَا فِىٓ أَرۡبَعَةِ أَيَّامٍ۬ سَوَآءً۬ لِّلسَّآٮِٕلِينَ – He placed therein (i.e. the earth) firm mountains from above it, and He blessed it, and measured therein its sustenance (for its dwellers) in four Days equal (i.e. all these four ‘days’ were equal in the length of time), for all those who ask (about its creation)] – Al-Hasan [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “Allah determined the provision of His servants (humans and Jinns) and the animals”. (1)

Jaabir [may Allah be pleased with him] narrated that Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said, “O people, fear Allah and be moderate in seeking a living, for no soul will die until it has received all its provision, even if it is slow in coming. So fear Allah and be moderate in seeking provision; take that which is permissible and leave that which is forbidden”. [Saheeh Ibn Maajah 1756]

The above texts and many others in the infallible revelation establish the fact that all creatures on this earth will continue to receive their provision until the end of time. However, a pathetic French secularist (Mulhid) says:

Shaikh Abu Khadeejah [may Allah preserve him] said:

“According to biased and indoctrinated scientists, who are educated in Western universities and institutions funded by their governments and huge multi-national companies, another cause of poverty is population growth in countries that cannot afford to feed the extra mouths. This however is a false notion, since the world has enough farmland, resources, water, cattle, fish, and wild game to support entire nations and continents. The European colonialist powers spent many centuries (400 to 500 years) conquering Asia, Africa, the Far East, the Americas, and elsewhere, and they stripped the natural resources of those conquered lands – then they took the natural resources, wealth, and humans (as slaves), and built their industrial revolution on that plundered wealth on the back of wealth and human resource they pillaged unjustly from others. Today, when those nations wish to build their economies, strengthen their independence, increase their populations, and build their defenses in order to make their nations strong, they are prevented through international treaties related to health and social engineering, goods embargos, tariffs, climate-control measures, etc. Then they are told that they are poor because their nations have too many mouths to feed! The reality, however, is that the African continent and other regions across Allah’s world have enough land, fertile pastures, animals, mineral wealth, oil, gas, iron ore, copper, gold and silver, etc., to be able to feed employ and their nations”. (2)

Second, we remind this pathetic Mulhid that sins, transgression and greed lead to calamities on the earth. https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2019/12/04/the-relationship-between-sinning-and-ones-circumstances/

[9] Abu Makkah quotes the questioner as saying, “How do these things occur?”

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

The Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] used to say in morning and evening supplications:

يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغيثُ أَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِيَ كُلَّهُ وَلاَ تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ

O Ever Living! O The Self Subsisting, upon Whom everything depends! By Your Mercy I seek assistance; rectify for me all of my affairs and do not leave me to myself, even for the blink of an eye. [Silsilah As-Saheehah Number 227]

Abu Makkah [may Allah rectify his affair] stated: He (i.e. he means the one who asked Shaikh Abu Khadeejah about the situation of Muhammad Abdur Razzaaq) then goes on to describe how akhuna Muhammad was close to “Mashayikh” but yet deviated, and then asks Waheed – a strange soothsayer-like questioning- how these things occur and if there were things to suggest that he would deviate. [End of quote]

In this section, we will provide brief comments on the words and phrases “deviated,” “a strange soothsayer-like questioning,” and “How these things occur… “

First, there is no question that Muhammad deviated in the matter involving the Musaafiqah extremists and collaborating with Ahlul Bidah. Regarding the alleged strange soothsayer-like questioning that Abu Makkah alludes to, we did respond to this folly in part one of this series as follows: “Abu Makkah attempted to portray himself as an articulate speaker while failing to recognise that he made a judgement without a sound basis. Indeed, his companion was judged based on what is apparent, and no soothsayer-like questioning is asserted in this case, save by those who lack sound understanding. Therefore, pay attention to this beautiful narration: Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab [may Allah be pleased with him] said: “People were (sometimes) judged by the revealing of a Divine revelation during the lifetime of Allah’s Messenger but now there is no longer any more (new revelation). Now we judge you by the deeds you practice publicly, so we will trust and favour the one who does good deeds in front of us, and we will not call him to account about what he is really doing in secret, because Allah will judge him for that; but we will not trust or believe the one who presents to us an evil deed even if he claims that his intentions were good”. (1)

Regarding “how these things occur” (deviation from a few or many upright affairs after accompanying scholars), as Abu Makkah reported from the question that the questioner posed to Shaikh Abu Khadeejah, we are reminded of a statement made by Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi al-Mad’khali [may Allah preserve him] as follows:

When you embark on the path of seeking knowledge- seeking (sound) understanding and acting on it, this is one of the signs that Allah wishes good for you. Therefore, receive glad tidings, have good thoughts about Allah, and be sincere to Allah [The Blessed and Exalted] in your statements, deeds, and knowledge. Neither be deceived – we seek Allaah’s Refuge from self-deception – nor feel safe from Allah’s plan.

None feels secure from the Plan of Allah except the people who are the losers].
[Surah Al-A’raaf. Ayah 99]

A believer always fears that his situation will change. It has been reported from Aa’isha and Anas [may Allaah pleased with them] that the Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] often (supplicated):

يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِى عَلَى دِينِكَ – O turner of the hearts (Allaah)! Keep my heart firm upon your religion.

I [i.e. Aa’isha or Anas] asked, “O Allah’s Messenger! We believe in you and what has been revealed to you, so do you fear for us?” He said, “Yes, indeed the hearts are between two fingers among Allah’s fingers and He turns them how He pleases”. [end of hadith]

By Allah! This is (true) understanding that a person does not feel safe about himself because Satan flows through the human being like blood. Therefore, a person should guard his heart, intellect, and deeds with greater ardour than the way he guards his wealth and honour. Whoever has been given the authority to manage his own affairs has a duty to protect his heart above all else.

Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate (from the truth) after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from You. Truly, You are the Bestower]. [ Surah Aal Imraan’ Aayah 8] (2)

Consider Al-Allaamah Rabee’s remark once more: “Therefore, a person should guard his heart, intellect, and deeds with greater ardour than the way he guards his wealth and honour. Whoever has been given the authority to manage his own affairs has a duty to protect his heart above all else”. [end of quote]

Allah’s Aid is sought! There is no doubt that both Muhammad and Abu Makkah [may Allah guide them] have neither been safeguarded from the Fitna of the Musaafiqah extremists nor the Fitna of collaborating with ahlul bidah. May Allah return them to what is correct and protect us from Fitan Aameen. The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said, “A man is upon the religion of his best friend, so let one of you look at whom he takes as a best friend”. [Saheeh Abee Dawud. Number 4833]

We ask Allah

O Allah! Rectify my religion for me, which is the safeguard of my affairs; rectify my worldly [affairs], wherein is my livelihood; and rectify my Afterlife to which is my return; and make life for me [as a means of] increase in every good and make death for me as a rest from every evil. [8] Abu Makkah asks a foolish or stupid rhetorical question to conceal truth and beautify falsehood

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Exalted] said:

خُذِ ٱلْعَفْوَ وَأْمُرْ بِٱلْعُرْفِ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ

Show forgiveness, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the foolish.

[Surah Al-A’raaf. Ayah 199]

[وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ – and turn away from the foolish]- Meaning, when the foolish (or ignorant) person behaves foolishly (or ignorantly) towards you, do not respond to him with foolishness (or ignorance). (1)

Abu Makkah posed a foolish rhetorical question after immersing himself in self-denial and self-delusion while seeking to deceive everyone because of his passionate desire to twist and distort reality. He stated, “Since when did Waheed Alam know the state of the hearts?”

He made this statement even though it is absolutely clear that his companion was judged based on his companionship with Ahlul bidah and Musaafiqah extremists, which is a symptom of one of the sicknesses of the hearts – Shubuhaat or Shahawaat. His companion did not choose such blameworthy companionship except due to the disease of doubt or desires!

Therefore, this foolish rhetorical question that was presented to promote falsehood and hide truth will not be addressed with another foolish rhetorical question, rather, we’ll respond with what is beneficial from the Book of our Lord. Allah [The Exalted] said:

وَعِنْدَهُ مَفَاتِحُ الْغَيْبِ لَا يَعْلَمُهَا إِلَّا هُوَ

And with Him are the keys of the Ghaib (all that is hidden), none knows them but He.

[Surah Al-An’aam. Ayah 59]

Imaam Ash-Shanqeetee [may Allaah have mercy upon him] presented a number of robust proofs to demonstrate and establish that even the most knowledgeable amongst the creation- Allah’s Messengers and Angels-do not possess knowledge of the unseen. The Imaam [may Allaah have mercy upon him] said:

Aa’isha [may Allah be pleased with her] was falsely accused and the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] did not know whether she was innocent or not until Allah informed him, saying: [ أُولَٰئِكَ مُبَرَّءُونَ مِمَّا يَقُولُونَ- Such (good people) are innocent of (each and every) bad statement which they say].

Prophet Ibraaheem [peace be upon him] slaughtered a lamb for the angels, while not knowing that they were angels until they informed him that they were angels. Allah said that the angels said to him: [إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِ لُوطٍ – We have been sent against the people of Lout (Lot). (11:70)]

When the angels came to Prophet Lut [peace be upon him], he did not know that they were angels, and due to that, Allaah said: [عَصِيبٌ سِيءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًا وَقَالَ هَٰذَا يَوْمٌ – He was grieved on their account and felt himself straitened for them (lest the town people should approach them to commit lewdness with them). He said: This is a distressful day]. And because of this Allah said that lut said: [لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَىٰ رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ – Would that I had strength (men) to overpower you, or that I could betake myself to some powerful support (to resist you). (11:80)]. He did not know the news the angels brought until they said to him: [إِنَّا رُسُلُ رَبِّكَ لَنْ يَصِلُوا إِلَيْكَ – Verily, we are the Messengers from your Lord!]

Prophet Ya’qub [peace be upon him] lost his eyesight due to grieving for Prophet Yusuf [peace be upon him], while he was in Egypt. He did not know anything about Yusuf until Allah reveal news about him.

Prophet Sulaymaan [peace be upon him], even though Allah gave him authority over the devils and subjugated the wind in his service, did not know about the people Bil Qees until the Hud hud came with news about them. Allah said that the Hud’hud said:

أَحَطْتُ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهِ وَجِئْتُكَ مِنْ سَبَإٍ بِنَبَإٍ يَقِينٍ

I have grasped (the knowledge of a thing) which you have not grasped and I have come to you from Saba’ (Sheba) with true news].

Prophet Nuh [peace be upon him] did not know that his son – who was drowned- was not from those members of his household who were to be saved, as Allah said that Nuh said:

رَبِّ إِنَّ ابْنِي مِنْ أَهْلِي وَإِنَّ وَعْدَكَ الْحَقُّ

O my Lord! Verily, my son is of my family! And certainly, Your Promise is true.(11:45)]

He did not know the reality of the affair until Allaah informed him, saying:

قَالَ يَٰنُوحُ إِنَّهُۥ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ إِنَّهُۥ عَمَلٌ غَيْرُ صَٰلِحٍ فَلَا تَسْـَٔلْنِ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلْمٌ إِنِّىٓ أَعِظُكَ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ

He said: “O Nuh (Noah)! Surely, he is not of your family; verily, his work is unrighteous, so ask not of Me that of which you have no knowledge! I admonish you, lest you be one of the ignorant].

And indeed Allah (The Most High) also stated in Surah Hud about Nuh that he said to his people:

وَلَا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِنْدِي خَزَائِنُ اللَّهِ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ الْغَيْبَ

And I do not say to you that with me are the Treasures of Allah, “Nor that I know the Ghaib (unseen).

And when Allah said to the Angels: [هَٰؤُلَاءِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ أَنْبِئُونِي بِأَسْمَاءِ -Tell Me the names of these if you are truthful]; Allaah said that the angels replied: [قَالُوا سُبْحَانَكَ لَا عِلْمَ لَنَا إِلَّا مَا عَلَّمْتَنَا -They (angels) said: “Glory be to You, we have no knowledge except what you have taught us.

Therefore, it is very clear that the most knowledgeable amongst the creation, the Messengers and the Angels, do not know anything of the unseen except what Allah makes known to them. Allah (The Most High) informs His Messengers what He wishes from the knowledge of the Unseen, as Allah stated:

وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُطْلِعَكُمْ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ يَجْتَبِي مِنْ رُسُلِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۖ

Nor will Allah disclose to you the secrets of the Ghaib (unseen), but Allah chooses of His Messengers whom He pleases. (2)

Finally, after asking his deceptive rhetorical question, he said: لا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلا بِالله

What a disaster! Indeed, there is no doubt that Abu Makkah was consumed by an intense desire to spread falsehood and conceal the truth at all costs, to the point where he mentioned a mighty statement that should have reminded him that the One Who owns all Power and Might was watching him as he pursued falsehood and desperately sought to conceal the truth.

Abu Musa Al-Ash’aree [may Allah be pleased with him] said, “The Messenger of Allah [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said to me, ‘O Abdullaah Bin Qais! Shall I tell you a statement that is one of the treasures of Paradise? It is [لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ – (i.e. There is neither might nor power (to alternate from one state to another nor move from one thing to another) except by Allaah’s Will]. [Bukhaari 6384 & Muslim 2704]

“One of the treasures of paradise”- Meaning, its reward is great and that is paradise; and Paradise is the greatest thing sought after. This shows the virtue of the statement: لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ

And why does it carry this reward? That is because it necessitates surrendering all of one’s affairs to Allah, manifesting one’s inability and poverty in the presence of Allah, and that indeed Allah is The One Perfect in Strength and The One Fully Able to do all things (and has power over all things). It is a great statement, easy to utter and repeat on the tongue. (3)

[5.2] A brief examination of a reality that deluded Abu Makkah seeks to present as “delusions”

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Exalted] said:

يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَكُونُواْ مَعَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ

O you who believe! Be afraid of Allah, and be with those who are true (in words and deeds). [9:119]

Abu Makkah said: “Waheed – in his delusion & pomposity – talks about how Muhammad would bring him “doubts” that he had EACH TIME they’d go for Umrah! The clear lies and exaggeration in this point is so clear that replying to it would be a waste of time”. [End of quote]

To begin with, we ask Allah to include us among those who fear Him both in private and in public. Indeed, Muhammad Abdur Razzaaq [may Allah guide him] was one who had doubts, and Abu Makkah’s aimless pursuit in the aforementioned statement is an attempt to hide the fact that Muhammad’s situation is worse at present. Allah [The Exalted] said:

وَإِن تَلۡوُ ۥۤاْ أَوۡ تُعۡرِضُواْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِيرً۬ا

And if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do.

Imaam Ibn Al-Qayyim [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: Allah [Glorified be He and free from all imperfections] mentions two factors that will surely lead to concealment, then He warns against them and issues a threat: the first is distortion, and the second is to turn away from giving truthful witness. That is because when proof that supports the truth manifests and the one who wants to repel it is unable to do so, he refrains from mentioning it and therefore becomes a silent devil, and sometimes he distorts it. Indeed, we don’t need to ask Shaikh Abu Khadeejah [may Allah preserve him] how many doubts Muhammad [may Allah guide him] had because he has already broadcasted one on Twitter for everyone to see as follows:

This is a conversation on Twitter between Muhammad Abdur Razzaaq [may Allah open his eyes to reality] and someone else, whilst he encouraged people to attend the gathering of the Musaafiqah in the company of Dr Sulaymaan Ar-Ruhayli. Muhammad stated, “Utter falsehood. Did the Sahaabah say ‘O I’m not going to attend the circle of the Messenger bcos there’s a Munaafiq there?'” [End of quote]

Amazing is the similarity between Abu Makkah and Muhammad Abdur Razzaaq! The Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said: “The souls are troops collected together. They come close upon what they recognize, and they differ upon what they reject”. [Al-Bukhaari 3109]

It is apparent that one of the characteristics they share is their fondness for ludicrous comparison. Indeed, the Messenger and the Sahaabah were upon clarity due to that which Allah revealed to him about the Munaafiqoon. As for Dr Sulaymaan and the ones who invited him, all of them were upon something blameworthy because they defend Dr Muhammad Bin Haadi, so how can a sensible person attend such a gathering to increase the numbers of Musaafiqah – those defending a person (Dr Muhammad Bin Haadi) who passed an oppressive judgement of Tabdee without proof!

Furthermore, it has become abundantly clear that Muhammad’s situation has deteriorated [may Allah guide him], and one of the risky ventures he has embarked on is collaboration with Ahlul bidah. Shaikh Abu Iyaad [may Allah preserve him] quoted Shaikh Al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allah have mercy upon him] as follows, “And Imaam is known about a man, just as all the states of his heart are known by way of his (outward) allegiances, enmities, his rejoicing, anger, hunger, thirst, and other such affairs. For these matters have certain outward bonding necessities (Lawaazim Dhaahirah) and the outward matters necessitate inward matters. And this is a matter known, the people know this concerning the one that they have experienced and tested (jarraboohu wamtahinoohu)…” NB: Must refer to the link so that the full context of this statement is understood. https://www.salafipublications.com/sps/downloads/pdf/BDH050015.pdf

Then go on to discover Muhammad's real circumstances based on tangible evidence and witnesses. https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2023/07/29/abu-makkah-and-muhammad-abdur-razzq-watery-manhaj-and-flaccid-constitutions/

Indeed, our Scholars have admonished us all against becoming overconfident and deceived. Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Mad’khali [may Allah preserve him] stated: “It is enough to recall that the Salaf fled from Fitan – not mixing, sitting, or discussing with the people of Fitan (i.e. ahlul bidah). Even among them, such as Ayyoub As-Sakhtiyaanee and Ibn Seereen, did not listen to the speech of those (people of bidah). And when Ibn Seereen was asked, “Why do you not speak; why do you not listen to them?” He said, “Indeed, my heart is not in my hands! I don’t have control over my heart, and I’m afraid I’ll be misguided.” So these Imams feared fitna and deviation for themselves, but you the Miskeen have the courage to confront ahlul bidah….!!!

Many people say, “We sit with ahlul ahwaa [i.e. the people of desires (ahlul bidah)] and we take; we distinguish between truth and falsehood, we take what is true and abandon falsehood,” while he (i.e. the speaker) is a Miskeen who cannot distinguish between truth and falsehood and is not in control of his heart. How many young people have been put to the test by this devilish viewpoint and thus degraded, reverting back on his heels (into misguidance), and depraved?! Allah’s aid is sought! In the domain of the people of Fitan, he becomes prey (or a victim)! A student of knowledge is therefore required to (refrain from thinking of) himself as immune to ahlul bidah because he cannot be as knowledgeable as Ayyoub and Ibn Seereen or reach their level (in knowledge and piety) and those who came after them. (2)

This is the reality that dishonest Abu Makkah is attempting to obfuscate! Both he and Muhammad Abdur Razzaaq collaborate with Ahlul Bidah, however, he claims without any shame, “Waheed – in his delusion & pomposity – talks about how Muhammad would bring him “doubts” that he had EACH TIME they’d go for Umrah! The clear lies and exaggeration in this point is so clear that replying to it would be a waste of time”. [End of quote]

He desperately tries to depict this reality about himself and Muhammad Abdur Razzaaq as an illusion. Is it a fallacy or an illusion to say that both he and Muhammad harbour doubts?! Then why are they collaborating with AhlulBidah? Why did they succumb to the Fitna of the Musaafiqah in the first place? What else, if not their doubts, must have influenced them to commit what has been refuted in this link?! https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2023/07/29/abu-makkah-and-muhammad-abdur-razzq-watery-manhaj-and-flaccid-constitutions/

Abu Makkah is obstinate in his pointless attempt to repel reality. Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: “The fact that a statement is a lie or falsehood about something can sometimes be determined by looking at the statement itself, its contradictions, its complication, and the appearance of those clear signs that it is a lie. Lies may manifest based on what it is in reality, what is being disguised, and what is apparent. It can occasionally be determined based on the circumstances surrounding the utterer of the lie, for it is true that those who are notorious for lying, wickedness, and deception do not manifest anything else except assertions that are consistent with their behaviour. He does not utter a statement or perform an action similar to that of a pious and truthful person – the one innocent of all evil, deception, lie, and wicked behaviour; rather, the heart, intention, statements, and acts of the truthful one share same image, as do the liar’s heart, statements, deeds, and intents”. (3)

The Imam [may Allah have mercy upon him] also said: Beware of kadhib, as it corrupts one’s ability to teach people as well as one ability to illustrate information based on how it should actually be. The liar presents what is present as something non-existent and what is non-existent as something present; misrepresents the truth as being something false and falsehood as being something true; misrepresents the good and the evil, so he corrupts his conception and knowledge, which subsequently results in his punishment. Then he portrays what is not true to the one who has been duped by him – the one who is drawn to him – and therefore corrupts his conception and knowledge.

The soul of the liar turns away from existing reality, preferring the non-existent, and falsehood. And when his conception and knowledge is corrupted, which is the basis of every wilfully chosen deed, his deeds become corrupt and marked by lies, so those deeds would emanate from him just as lies emanate from the tongue- neither benefits from his tongue nor his deeds (i.e. in relation to the specific affair). Because of this, lying serves as the foundation of immorality, as the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said, “Indeed, lies lead to immorality (or wickedness), and indeed, immorality (or wickedness) leads to the fire.” [Bukhaari 2606/2607]

Lies first emerge from the heart and then on the tongue, corrupting it; then they transfer to the limbs and corrupt their deeds, just as they corrupt statements of the tongue. As a result, lying prevails over his utterances, deeds, and state of affairs; corruption gets deeply ingrained in him, and its disease leads to destruction if Allah does not grant him recovery with the medication of truthfulness, which uproots the source (or basis) of the lies. This is why the basis of all deeds of the heart is truthfulness, and the basis of their opposites is lies, such as boasting, self-amazement, pride, being glad (with ungratefulness to Allah’s Favours), conceitedness, boastfulness, insolence, weakness, laziness, cowardice, disgrace, and others.

Every righteous deed, whether done privately or publicly, is founded on truthfulness. And the source of every corrupt deed, whether private or public, is lies. Allah punishes the liar by preventing him (i.e. due to his own chosen evil) from those things that will bring him well-being and benefit, while He rewards the truthful one by granting him the ability to attain the beneficial things of the worldly life and Afterlife. There is nothing comparable to truthfulness in terms of how it brings about the affairs of well-being in this life and the next, and there is nothing comparable to lying in terms of how it corrupts and harms one’s worldly and Afterlife affairs.

O you who believe! Be afraid of Allah, and be with those who are true (in words and deeds) [9:119]

This is a Day on which the truthful will profit from their truth. [5:119]

And when the matter (preparation for Jihad) is resolved on, then if they had been true to Allah, it would have been better for them. [47:21] (4) [End of quote]

So, let us all ask Allah:

اللهم كما حَسَّنْت خَلْقِي فَحَسِّنْ خُلُقِي
O Allah! Just as You made my external form beautiful, make my character beautiful as well].

To be continued…InShaaAllah

The People of Bidah On The Day of Aa’shooraa (Rawaafid, Nawaasib, and other Ignoramuses)

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Hishaam Bin Urwah [may Allah have mercy upon him] used to say, “Do not question the people about what they have innovated (in the religion) today because they have prepared answers for it; rather, question them about the Sunnah because they do not know it.” (1)

Ibn Aqeel [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “If the truthful ones were to keep silent and the falsifiers speak, then the creation would have relinquished what they have witnessed (of truth) and reject what they have not witnessed. So when the devout ones desire to revive the Sunnah, the people would reject it and think that it is bidah”. (1.1)

Shaikh Al Islam Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allah have mercy upon him] was asked if there is any authentic hadeeth from the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] regarding what people do on the day of Aashooraa, such as applying kohl and Hena, shaking hands, taking a bath, preparing food such as barley and other grains, and manifesting happiness; if there are no authentic proofs, is this considered bidah or not? And do the deeds of the other group (i.e. the Raafidah Shiites) have a basis in the religion or not, such as mourning, showing grief, purposefully making oneself thirsty and scarring oneself, sobbing, reciting (poems), fainting as a result of that and slapping the face?

Response: All the praises and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the entire existence. There is no authentic hadeeth from the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] or his companions in this regard, and none of the Imams, including the four Imams (Abu Hanifah, Malik, Ahmad, and Shaafi’ee), have recommended it.  Neither the scholars who authored and collated the texts that are relied on for their authenticity nor the companions and their students reported anything authentic or weak regarding this from the Prophet, neither in the authentic books of hadith nor in the Sunan. The virtuous first three generations of Islam knew nothing about these reports; however, some of those who came after the first three virtuous generations of Islam have transmitted reports to this effect, such as “Whoever applies kohl on the day of Aashooraa will not be sore-eyed in that year.” “Whoever bathes on Aashooraa will not get sick that year.” They also transmitted reports that Adam’s repentance took place on the day of Aashooraa, the virtue of prayer on this day, and that it was the day Nuh’s ark landed on Mount Judi, the day Ya’qub was reunited with Yusuf, and the day Ibraaheem was saved from the fire, etc. They also transmitted fabricated reports and lies attributed to the Prophet saying, “Whoever gives to his family on the day of Aashooraa, Allah will give him throughout the year.” All of these reports are lies attributed to the Prophet. (2)

Then an ignorant and transgressive group arose, consisting of either disbelieving hypocrites or misguided individuals. They declared (so-called) allegiance to the Prophet’s household and observed Aashooraa as a day of mourning, misery, and wailing. They practice pre-Islamic ignorance-related deeds such as slapping the face, tearing their clothes, and calling to pre-Islamic ignorance-related slogans and disbelief. However, Allah and His Messenger instructed that when new disasters occur, (one) exercises patience, hopes for Allah’s reward, recalls one’s misdeeds, and repents, as Allah (The Most High) said:

But give glad tidings to As-Saabireen (the patient ones, etc.). Who, when afflicted with calamity, say: “Truly! To Allah, we belong and truly, to Him, we shall return.” They are those on whom are the Salaam (i.e. blessings, etc.) (i.e. who are blessed and will be forgiven) from their Lord, and (they are those who) receive His Mercy, and it is they who are the guided ones. [Soori Al-Baqarah: Ayaat 55-57]

And it has been reported in the Saheehayn (Bukhaari and Muslim) from the Prophet that he said, “He is not from us, he who slaps his cheeks, tears his clothes and calls to the slogans of the pre-Islamic period of ignorance” (3)

They also recite mournful poems and relate reports that are full of lies. And the truth in them merely renews their (exaggerated and mistaken way of grieving), bigoted allegiance, incitement to hatred and conflict, initiating trials between the people of Islam as a result of that, and reviling those who were first to enter Islam. Even an eloquent person cannot explain the evil of these people (i.e. the Raafidah) and their harm to the people of Islam. [Visit http://www.shia.bs/index.cfm ]

However, they (i.e. Raafidah) are opposed by another group of people who are either Nawaasib (footnote a) or ignoramuses, thus they confront corruption with corruption, lying with lies, evil with evil, and bidah with bidah. On the day of Aashooraa, they write poems conveying joy and happiness, apply kohl, dye their garments a different colour, spend extra on their families, and cook the food they do not normally cook. These people regard the day of Aashooraa as an occasion comparable to the days of celebration and happiness [i.e. the two Eids]. The Raafidah, on the other hand, observe it as a day of mourning, grief, and suffering [i.e. inflicting injuries on oneself]. In this matter, both groups are mistaken and have exited the authentic Prophetic path. Allah’s Messenger, the rightly guided Khulafaa, or any of the Muslims’ Imams, such as Maalik, Ath-Thawree, Al-Layth Bin Sa’d, Abu Haneefah, Al-Awzaa’ee, Ash-Shaafi’ee, Ahmad Bin Hanbal, and Ishaaq Bin Raahawayh, never legislated these deeds. (4)

Footnote a: Imam Muhammad Ibn Saalih Al-Uthaymeen [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: The Nawaasib are the ones who propagate hostility towards the Prophet’s family, slander and revile them, so they are the opposite of the Rawaafid (i.e. those who exaggerate the status of the Prophet’s family until they worship them). [3] Why do we need to be more cautious of the soul than an avowed enemy

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

“It is obligatory for the one who hears this from Allah to be more careful or cautious about his Nafs than an enemy who wishes to murder him, take his wealth, or violate his honour. If someone asks, “Why do you obligate this precaution on me regarding the Nafs until you put it in a circumstance more dangerous than an enemy whose enmity is unquestionably very manifest?” Then it should be said to him, “The enemy who wants to harm you, take your wealth, or violate your honour, if they succeed in doing so, Allah will forgive some of your sins and elevate you. (footnote a) However, this will not be the case with the Nafs because if the Nafs dominate you through what you desire—that which you have been forbidden—then you will face ruin in this world and the next, humiliation and terrible punishment in this world and evil in the Sight of Allah”. (footnote b)

Imam al-Aajurree [may Allah have mercy upon him] said:

I’m going to give you a similitude with context that is not hidden from you. Know that the soul is like a fine foal from a horse, and the beholder is awestruck when he looks at it because of its good appearance and beauty. People with knowledge of its affairs say, “Benefit will not be obtained from it until it is properly trained and disciplined, then it will be of benefit- good enough to gallop and be of service, and thus its rider praises the outcomes of its training and discipline. But if it is not disciplined, its nice looks and beauty will be useless, and its rider will not laud its results when they are required.”

If the owner of this foal adopts the advice of individuals with knowledge about its situation, he will know that their speech is sound and will then give it to a horse trainer to train. And the trainer of horses is not considered worthy of the title unless he is proficient in the process of training as well as being patient. If he is knowledgeable about training horses and knows the best course of action, the owner will profit from it; however, if the trainer is not knowledgeable about training horses nor how to discipline a horse, he will ruin this foal, exhaust himself, and the rider will not be pleased with the results. If he is knowledgeable about horse training and how to discipline a horse but lacks the patience to endure the hardship that comes with the training, desires comfort in the situation, and is careless regarding the right course of action required of him, he will ruin and mistreat this foal, making it unfit for service and unfit to gallop, causing its appearance to be inconsistent with its true reality.

If the foal’s owner was also its trainer, he will become regretful when regret will be useless owing to his neglect. And when a service is needed, he glances at another horse whose service is sought and received and gallops when required. Then he seeks the service of his horse and requests that it gallop, but neither receives a response nor does the horse agree to gallop. All of this is due to his negligence when training the horse and his lack of patience after admitting it. So, he began to blame himself, saying, ” “Why was I negligent and why did I fall short? Indeed, my lack of patience has brought on everything I despise”. And Allaah’s Aid is sought! Consider and comprehend this similitude, may Allah have mercy on you, in order to be successful and saved. [An Excerpt from Adabun Nufoos. Page 5. Slightly paraphrased]

Footnote a: The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said, “Indeed, the bankrupt one of my Ummah will come on the Day of Resurrection with prayer, fasting and Zakah (in his account), but he comes along having abused this one, slandered that one, unlawfully took the wealth of this one and shed the blood of that one, and beaten that one. So this one will be given from his good deeds, and that one will be given from his good deeds. And if his good deeds finish before the judgment is made on him, some of their sins(i.e. the ones he wronged) will be taken and cast onto him, then he will be thrown into the Fire.” [Reported by Muslim. Footnote b: Imam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: The sinners [i.e. those who die whilst committing sins lesser than shirk] are under the will of Allah- if Allah wishes, He will either punish them or forgive them straight away or He enters them into hell for some time and paradise thereafter, just as Allah said:

[إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَغۡفِرُ أَن يُشۡرَكَ بِهِۦ وَيَغۡفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٲلِكَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ‌ۚ – Verily, Allah forgives not that partners should be set up with him in worship, but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He pleases]. If someone said, “Clarify the ugly traits of the soul for me”.

It is said to him: They are traits that may have already settled in the soul and it does not love to be separated from them- numerous traits, and if a person examines his soul he might find them as well. Indeed, it is a soul that follows (evil or excess) desires and is engaged in the (evil or excess) pleasures of the worldly life. It has prolonged hope for that which is short-lived and does not show little concern for a lifespan that will inevitably come to an end. It has a fervent desire to love this worldly life, and when it loves it (through sin or excess), the heart becomes hard and turns away from an abode whose bliss will never come to an end (i.e. Paradise).

It loves traits that it knows will harm it tomorrow, laughs and rejoices, enjoys itself with that which its Lord has forbidden, and grieves morning and evening for that which was not decreed for it of those things it hopes for from the worldly life. It is a soul facilitated with ease to seek after the (good) things of the worldly life, finds enjoyment in falling short in good deeds which its Lord calls to (or commands), desires to spend wealth in obedience to Allah, but Satan threatens it with poverty, so it inclines towards that which Satan calls to.

Allah promises it forgiveness and bounty, but it neither has certainty about it nor is pleased with it. It has firm hope in the promises of the people but is reluctant when the threat of its Lord reaches it. It pleases the people at the expense of Allah’s anger and hesitates to please its Lord. Allah calls it to have patience during calamities – a means of consolation and solace, but it does not accept.

It pretends in the presence of the people that it fulfils obligations, but fulfils little of that which Allah obligates on it. It abandons disobedience after being able to do so out of being shy of the people but has little shyness whilst Allah [The Most Great] watches it.

It gives little thanks for the innumerable blessings of Allah, utilises the blessings of Allah [The Most Generous] – day and night – as an aid to disobey Him. It finds it easy to sit with idle people but finds it difficult to sit with scholars. It obeys (or follows) a deceiver but disobeys the most sincere advisers. It hastens to evil desires but delays repentance today and tomorrow.

Whoever realises these traits in his soul and other than them, he should hasten to discipline it through good behaviour in order to return it to that which is more worthy regarding fear of Allah [The Mighty and Majestic]- in private and public, having great regret, refrain from the repugnant traits which he knows for sure is with him and continue upon rectification throughout his lifespan. And Allah is the Bestower of this affair. (1)

Imam Al-Qahtaanee [may Allah have mercy upon him] said:

And You (Allah) have placed love for me within the hearts….And the affection from You is through mercy and kindness….And You have spread – amongst the people – good about me… And conceal my acts of disobedience from their eyes…And you have made my good mention amongst the people common (or widespread)…until you made them all my brothers….By Allaah, if they knew the repugnance of my secret affairs (or inner self)….The one who meets me would have refused to give me Salaams…And they would have turned away from me and loath my companionship…And I would have brought disgrace upon myself after being honored…But you conceal my faults and deficiencies…And you dealt with my sins and transgression with forbearance (i.e. gave me an opportunity to repent)…So all praise and commendations- by way of my thoughts, limbs, and tongue- is Yours…. (2)

We ask Allah:

O Ever Living! O The Self Subsisting, Upon Whom Everything Depends! By Your mercy I seek assistance; rectify for me all of my affairs and do not leave me to myself, even for the blink of an eye. [Imaam Albaani declared it Hasan in Silsilah As-Saheehah Number 227]

O Allah! Rectify my religion for me, which is the safeguard of my affairs; rectify my worldly [affairs], wherein is my livelihood; and rectify my Afterlife to which is my return; and make life for me [as a means of] increase in every good and make death for me as a rest from every evil.

O Allaah! I ask You for well-being in this Dunyaa and the Aaakhirah. O Allāh, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family and my wealth. O Allaah! [1] Why do we need to be more cautious of the soul than an avowed enemy

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Imaam Abu Bakr Muhammad Ibn Al-Husayn Al-Aajurree [may Allah have mercy upon him] said:

All praise and thanks be to Allah by way of Whose Grace all righteous deeds are accomplished. All praise and thanks be to Allah in all circumstances and may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon the Prophet Muhammad, his family, and all his companions, and we seek Allah’s Aid and Assistance. To proceed:

May Allah grant us and you all the path towards right conduct in speech and deeds, protect us from the evils of our souls and the evil consequences of our evil deeds, and truly He is All-Hearer, Ever Near (to all things by His knowledge). Know that Allah has mentioned the soul in various sections of His Book, with notification of many matters concerning it, and that all of this implies that one should be mindful of the soul. Our Generous Protector (Allah) informed us that the soul has a tendency to gravitate toward the (evil) it desires while knowing it is forbidden. Our Generous Protector made it known and taught us that whoever prohibits the soul from pursuing the (evil) it desires, the abode of such a person will be paradise. Allah stated:

But when there comes the greatest catastrophe (i.e. the Day of Recompense, etc.), the Day when man shall remember what he strove for, and Hell-fire shall be made apparent in full view for (every) one who sees, then, for him who Tagha (transgressed all bounds, in disbelief, oppression and evil deeds of disobedience to Allah). And preferred the life of this world (by following his evil desires and lusts), verily, his abode will be Hell-fire; but as for him who feared standing before his Lord, and restrained himself from impure evil desires, and lusts, then verily, Paradise will be his abode. [Surah An-Naazi’aat. Ayaat 34-41]

It is obligatory for the one who hears this from Allah to be more careful or cautious about his Nafs than an enemy who wishes to murder him, take his wealth, or violate his honour. (footnote a) However, this will not be the case with the Nafs because if the Nafs dominates you through what you desire—that which you have been forbidden—then you will face ruin in this world and the next, humiliation and terrible punishment in this world and evil in the Sight of Allah”. (footnote b)

As a result, the sensible person – may Allah have mercy on him (or her)- imposes or obligates caution on the Nafs and strives against it in a more severe manner than striving against an enemy who wants to take their wealth and life – strives against the Nafs both in times of anger and happiness. This is how our prophet disciplined us in many ahadeeth, saying: “The Mujaahid is the one who strives against his Nafs in devotion to Allah – The Mighty and Majestic”.

If one asks, “By what means should I strive against my soul until I overcome it?” It is said to them, “Strive against it until it fulfils the duties imposed by Allah and stays away from what Allaah has forbidden.” If a person says, “Describe for me the traits that the soul tends to incline towards, which are not good, so that I can be cautious of them, hate them, and strive against them if I know that there is something of these traits in my soul”. Then it is said to them, “The (evil) of the soul is deserving of being hated for the sake of Allah, and whoever hates (the evil) of his soul for the sake of Allah, it is hoped that he will be saved from being hated by Allah, just as Imaam Fudayl Ibn Iyaadh said, ‘Whoever hates (the evils) of his soul for the Sake of Allah is saved from being hated by Allah'”. (1)

And if his good deeds finishes before the judgment is made on him, some of their sins(i.e. the ones he wronged) will be taken and cast onto him, then he will be thrown into the Fire.” [Reported by Muslim. Number: 2581]
