In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful The Bestower of Mercy

Questioner:

Virtuous Shaikh, there is to be found in the bookstores the book ‘’Al-Intisaar Li-Kitaabil Azeezil Jabbaar Was-Sahaabatu Al-Akhyaar’’ and the book  ‘’Kash Zaif At-Tasawwuf’’ of Dr Rabee Al-Madkhalee; do you advise us with it? (i.e. to read and benefit from it)

 Answer:

Wallaahi, I have not read it myself.  The man is good, well known and he is a scholar. As for the book, I have not read it myself so as to make judgement on it. Yes.

This fatwah is especially for those who reproach Shaikh Rabee Al-Madkhali without Knowledge. Indeed, the speech of Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan is clear and manifest; he said about Shaikh Rabee: ‘’The man is good, well known and he is a Scholar.’’

Allaah (The Most High) said:

‘’O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger (Muhammad), and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority. (And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allah and His Messenger, if you believe in Allah and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for final determination.’’ Nisaa: 59

Allaah (The Most High) said:

‘’And We sent not (as Our Messengers) before you (O Muhammad) any but men, whom We inspired, (to preach and invite mankind to believe in the Oneness of Allah). So ask of those who know the Scripture [learned men], if you know not.’’ Nahl:
