Imaam Ibn Baaz on Hijacking planes and kidnapping
“From that which is known to everyone who has the slightest bit of common sense is that hijacking airplanes and kidnapping children and the like are extremely great crimes, the world over. Their evil effects are far and wide, as is the great harm and inconvenience caused to the innocent; the total effect of which none can comprehend except Allaah.
Likewise, from that which is known is that these crimes are not specific to any particular country over and above another country, nor any specific group over and above another group, rather it encompasses the whole world.
There is no doubt about the effect of these crimes; so it is obligatory upon the governments and those responsible from amongst the scholars and other than them to afford these issues great concern, and to exert themselves as much as possible in ending this evil.”
Shaykh Ibn Baaz

An Extremely Corrupt and Disrespectful statement of the Tijaaniyyah Soofiyyah
refuted by Al-Allaamah Abdur-Rahmaan Ibn Yoosuf Al-Afreeqee (rahimahullaah)
Al-Allaamah Abdur-Rahmaan Ibn Yoosuf Al-Afreeqee (rahimahullaah) said: He (i.e. Ahmad Tijaani) stated in Jawaahir Al-Ma’aanee, and likewise in Al-Jaysh (page 91): Indeed, this Wird [1] (i.e. an act of worship by way of supplication, remembrance of Allaah etc) was preserved for me by the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) and he did not make it known to any of his companions…..up until he (Tijaani) said: And perhaps he (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) delayed it due to the absence of one through whom Allaah would make it known.’’
So concerning his (i.e. Tijaani’s) statement: ‘’Indeed, this Wird was preserved for me by the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) and he did not make it known to any of his companions’’ is a rejected of Allaah’s saying: [يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلرَّسُولُ بَلِّغۡ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكَ مِن رَّبِّكَۖ ] ‘’O Messenger (Muhammad)! Proclaim (the Message) which has been sent down to you from your Lord.’’ [5:67]
And it is well known that it is impossible for the Prophets to conceal (Allaah’s Message) because it is a betrayal of trust. And there is no doubt that attributing the (act of concealment) to the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) is disbelief by consensus of the scholars.
And concerning his (i.e. Tijaani’s) statement: ‘’And perhaps he (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) delayed it due to the absence of one through whom Allaah would make it known.’’ This statement of his is tantamount to giving himself precedence over Abu-Bakr As-Siddeeq (radiyallaahu-anhu) because (Abu Bakr) was not able to receive this Wird. This is an extremely corrupt statement; rather is an extremely disrespectful speech. [2] [End of Quote]
[1] This Wird is called Salaatul Faatihah—an innovated Dhikr of Ahmad Tijaani practiced by his followers in West Africa (Gambia, Senegal etc) and other places in Africa.

Likewise, the Moroccan Scholar Al-Allaamah Taqiyudeen Al-Hilaali (rahimahullaah) wrote a Book against the Tijaaniyyah titled: Al-Hidaayatul Haadiyah Ilaa At-Tareeqah At-Tijaaniyyah.

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy
Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him) said:
It is not permissible to exalt and praise the innovators, even if they have with them some of that which is the haqq. That is because raising and praising them will spread their bidah and makes them from amongst the sincere ones, who are taken as examples from amongst the men of distinction of this Ummah. The Salaf have warned us against having trust for the innovators, and have warned against praising them, and from their gatherings. In this regard Asad Ibn Musa (rahimahullaah) wrote: ”And be beware of being a brother of the innovator (by association), or a companion of his, or one whom you sit with. For indeed there has come the athar: ”whoever sits with a person of innovation; has left the protection of Allaah and is entrusted to himself. Whoever proceeds towards a person of innovation has proceeded towards the destruction of Islaam”.
The innovators must be warned against and kept away from, even if they have some truth with them. Indeed, the most astray are not devoid of something of the truth, but as long as they have with them innovation, opposition and sinful views/ideas; then it is not permissible to praise and exalt them. And it is impermissible not to have an objection towards their innovation, because in this is spreading of bidah and belittling the Sunnah. And through this the innovator will emerge and become a guide for the ummah.
There are those Imaams in every era, who have no affairs of innovation with them. And all Praise is due to Allaah, in them is that which suffices the ummah. They are the leaders/guides. What is obligatory is to make Ittibaa of the straight path which has no bidah. As for the innovator, then it is obligatory to warn against him, and he is exposed until the people are cautious of him, and until him and his followers are subdued. As for the consideration that he has something of the haqq; then this does not justify praising him. This is, to a far greater extent against that which is of overriding benefit. And it is known with regards to the fundamental principles of the religion that averting harm takes precedence over seeking that which is of benefit. And with regards to showing animosity towards the innovator, the harm that is averted from the ummah is weightier than what he has of supposed maslahah, (if that is the case).
And had we adhered to this concept (i.e. praising innovators for some good they have), no one would have been judged to be misguided and declared an innovator. This is because there is not an innovator except that he has with him some of that which is from the haqq and from iltizaam (adherence to Islaam). Those who are unable to restrict themselves to the Salafi Methodology constantly find themselves searching for avenues of rescue and escape. One common avenue they engage in is seeking out selective statements of the scholars that mention the ill characteristics of backbiting, spreading tales between people to cause corruption, lying, slander etc, – disgraceful and evil characteristics without a doubt – however defenders of innovators seek to utilise such statements to defend themselves against the refutations directed at them from ahlus-Sunnah, as if the refutations upon them are “slander, lies, backbiting” [!], leading to the common people misunderstanding and becoming confused regarding the methodology of the Salaf.
Hence we see here a beautiful explanation of Shaikh Zaid al-Madkhaly رحمه الله on whether refutations and clarifications of the wayward methodology of deviants, innovators and people of desires is considered “backbiting” or “slander” or other than that from the evil characteristics?
Shaikh Zaid al-Madkhaly رحمه الله stated : “Refutations upon the people of desires and innovation, and the open-sinners is not considered following up their faults, and it is not considered striving to find faults and shortcomings, neither is it considered an intent to expose the shortcomings and wrongs [of others] as some who fell behind in understanding claim! The affair has become confusing to him [i.e. to the who claims refutations are backbiting, slander, finding faults in others] due to his shortcoming in knowledge! Rather that [refutations] is from the same type as striving in the path of Allah with the pen and tongue due to what is in that from destroying falsehood and clarifying the truth and advising the creation.
There are so many books that have been written upon justice in refutation of the people of desires and innovation, and those who are open sinners, and they [i.e. the people of desires and innovation and open-sinners] have been debated upon evidences from the Book and the Sunnah until the truth was established and upright and understood, and the falsehood collapsed upon itself until it became known [as falsehood].”

Perhaps, the likes of Madeenahdotcom’s Naveed Ayaaz [and IslamNelson] who continues to co-operate with those who cut the phone-line on Shaikh Rabee and still defend Abul-Hasan al-Ma’riby and his likes, should take note of Shaikh Zaid’s رحمه الله speech since the official stance he and his beloved IslamNelson seem to have taken now is a stance of miraculously becoming the “victims”[!]…and perhaps he should consider retracting his slander against the salafis in stating that we desire “chaos” between people. We wonder how long it will take him to realise it is the deviants the likes of al-Ma’riby that cause the chaos between the people, the likes of al-Halaby, al-Maghrawy…such individuals slander and speak ill against the scholars yet silence upon them…whilst unleashing his tongue upon the Salafis who defend the honour of the scholars?! What a terrible state to be in.
